Cassandra Claire is one of my daughter’s most favorite author and she also watches the t.v show The Shadow Hunters. Thank you again for a great book at an awesome price.

The title is completely deceiving. It’s just a bunch of authors reviews no short stories or anything

It’s a library book it’s not brand new but it’s in cold condition love it

All in all, I think City of Bones was a good book, but I wouldn’t call it mind-blowing. The book introduces us to our main character, Clary Fray, who is thrown into a world that she didn’t even know existed – a world of vampires, werewolves, warlocks, and demons.

Now, if I suddenly saw a demon walking down the street, I might freak out a little bit – ok, a lot – and I would definitely start asking some serious questions of the people involved. But Clary just seems totally fine with this new realization.

She is so ridiculously accepting of her new life that it is pretty unbelievable. Also, I found that there was a lot of missing information about the entire Shadowhunter world in this book. [Example: Jace and Alec are said to be parabatai, but there is barely any description of what that means or how that partnership came to be.

] I knew about the Shadowhunters because I have read Clare’s other books, but I think if City of Bones was the first book I had read about this world, I probably would have been a little confused. Maybe there is more description in the upcoming books and I just haven’t read it yet.

There are two things about Cassandra Clare’s books that I really love. She always manages to include a character who loves books in her works. It’s like a little nod to her audience of book nerds and it makes me smile.

Also, she is an author that really creates quite a diverse cast of characters. She is not afraid to introduce all different types of people to her readers, including LGBTQ characters, and I really respect that.

I was kind of tired of just watching movies and wanted to get back to reading. My fourteen-year-old recommended the book and I definitely enjoyed it. The only thing I would improve is a more clear cover that stated book one book to that way I knew which book to read first second and third it’s just a lot easier.

I find myself not really knowing who the bad guy?? But I’m continuing in the series I just the author and find out which book goes next. Follow for follow like-for-like.

I got this book as a birthday gift and thought nothing of it, at first. I didn’t read it until 3 weeks later and I totally enjoy it. This has the same old vampires and werewolves BUT there’s so much happening in this book that I start to imagine it as another world.

This is actually one of my favorite books. I love how Clary’s character starts to build up. I also love how the author has a huge variety of characters with an individual, original personalities. My favorite character is Isabelle (I think a lot of people does).

She is such a strong character that I was actually excited every time she was in the scene. The story is not cliche at all. I found it very interesting and after a day and a half, I saw myself standing in front of the cashier purchasing the second and third book.

My gaming group currently consists of my roommate, my fiancee and our 10 year old. My roommate is along for the ride and will play whatever I throw at him but my fiancee and 10 year old were clearly getting bored with chasing bandits in The Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure.

LMoP had the downfall of not drawing you in with teases to the greater storyline. It starts with a goblin ambush and a frontier town plagued with bandits. Though I loved the idea of a sort of Old West type town in D&D, my girls were not so enthralled.

So I bought this. My fiancee loves horror and the kid loves vampires. I chose the first adventure hook offered in the book, having them enter a tavern in Phandalin, the town of LMoP, as a light mist drifts into the night air.

Whilst in the tavern, I ran the adventure hook and when they exited later, the mist was now a thick fog, the town of Phandalin was gone and as soon as the tavern door was closed behind them it disappeared as well.

They three were now alone on a road in the middle of the forest with a single dilapidated sign pointing West labeled Barovia. From this moment, they were hooked. Anything beyond that would be spoilers so I will just say I have scared them multiple times and we are only just in the town of Barovia, at the beginning of the book, and they are LOVING it! This adventure is so apart from any other I have read or run and has a lot of amazing moments.

The writing is superb and it ACTUALLY approaches the entire adventure as if the DM were running D&D for the first time, which I like. A plethora of useful tips, hints and information is provided here the level of which is rarely found in other published adventures.

I am thoroughly impressed and cant wait to see how my group’s story unfolds.

Best Adventure for 5E and Tabletop. Very RP heavy, there is combat(DEADLY COMBAT), in the extreme. Compared to the other adventures this one has a lot of talking and declensions you have to make compared to combat.

This is a big sandbox, so your characters could be going into a level 99 area at level 7 if you know what I mean (TPK). Its an amazing world, a demiplane, to play in and become a hero. You could also try Princess Mode or Diplomacy mode, and actually try to help the antogonist, sad story, very interesting twist.

The amount of supplemental material the online community has made for this is AMAZING. Lots of extra bits you can add to this adventure.

Great story, artwork, updated so much from the previous 2 originals which I admire as well being a Ravenloft devotee. Very nice hard cover, lot of new details, maps, characters and role playing options.

Even thou I myself stay with my crew in 2nd edition rules for most of the time, this advanture can be well played in other worlds and with various other rules which makes it an excellent piece of work for everyone.

Let me just start by saying I love this series. If you haven’t read the rest of this series, definitely start right now (City of Bones). This book in particular, however, was not my favorite. I felt like the story dragged a little, and it took me quite a bit of time to read the whole thing because I would either get bored and put the book down after one chapter or not want to pick it back up.

Now, this is the second-to-last book in the series, and I feel like it had that slump that second-to-last books normally have, BUT the ending was terrific. It was exciting and had a great cliff-hanger.

The characters are great and they were really the driving force for finishing this book. And I must say, it was worth it, because the last book is AMAZING! I really don’t want to give the book too low of a score because it wasn’t a bad book, the story line just wasn’t at the excitement level I have grown accustomed to when reading a Cassandra Clare book.

P. S. If you haven’t read The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, I HIGHLY recommend you doing so before finishing this series. The two series’ intertwine and there may be some spoilers for The Infernal Devices at the end of The Mortal Instruments.

(It’s also just an amazing trilogy and well worth the read!).

Still enjoy the story, though I see what everyone else is saying (bad). So the story is similar to so many others out there. I read it for enjoyment, just escaping from life into a world I enjoyed where other things are possible.

I know this book is YA category and I am certainly much older but it is a well written story and it is so nice to leave the everyday life and imagine completely different world. I would recomend this saga to everyone.

This is the first book in a five book series. The main character Kylie Galen gets sent to an overnight summer camp for troubled teens but what her parents don’t know is that it’s really a camp for supernatural teens who need help adjusting.

Some like the werewolves grew up knowing who and what they were but then there are people like Kylie. Her mom isn’t supernatural but her dad is so Kylie thinks everyone is pulling her leg when she is told about supernaturals.

Kylie immediately meets Derek a half fae who is the sweetest guy. But when she arrives at the camp she notices Lucas a werewolf. Her initial feeling toward him is fear because she remembered him from when she was a child and she believes he killed her cat but as the book progresses they become closer and Kylie isn’t sure who she wants to be with.

It is a typical love triangle but it keeps the romance interesting and keeps you guessing who she will end up with until the last book. Warning: this series is addicting! It pulls you in right from the beginning when her life is turned upside down because her parents were acting like children.

I love each of the characters. Everyone is different and none of them blend together. Kylie becomes best friends with her two cabin mates: Della and Miranda. Della is a sassy vampire who doesn’t let her emotions show.

Miranda is a sensitive witch. Kylie is quiet and kind to everyone. The moment I finished the first book I went out and bought the next two because I discovered the series after the 3rd book was released and I couldn’t put the books down.

Then after that I pre-ordered each book so I could begin reading it right away. I love C. C Hunter’s creative mind and her gripping plots. Her Shadow Falls Series will NOT disappoint. The only time I was disappointed was when I finished the last book and there was none left to read BUT don’t worry! She came out with Shadow Falls: After Dark Series! (Which I also posted reviews for!) Della’s story is just as good if not better! Soon C.

C Hunter will be releasing her novella for Miranda and I can’t wait! I’m dying to see how much Miranda grew and how she turns into the witch she’s supposed to be. Good job C. C Hunter! Keep writing so I can devour the more of your books!.

Review: Slowly getting through my long list of TBR this one has been on my list for a long long while. I have had the book sitting on my shelf I just never had the chance to fit in my schedule. Finally I did and I am very happy to have finally started this wonderfully talked about series.

I really really liked this book. It was a bit slow in the pacing at times for me but there was a lot of building of relationships and laying of puzzle pieces to create a very mysterious paranormal story.

Long Story Short: Kylie was in the wrong place and the wrong time and ended herself up in a heap of trouble. Kylie’s parents believe that she needs some help dealing with their divorce and that is why she is acting out.

They send her to a camp for troubled teens that Kylie’s counselor recommended. In only takes a short bit before Kylie realizes she is in a camp for paranormal teens not troubled teens. She is told she herself must be a paranormal but Kylie is positive she is not.

She would rather believe she is just nuts or has a brain tumor. What Kylie doesn’t expect is to make some great friends fall for two gorgeous boys and undercover some dark deep family secrets. My Thoughts: This was wonderfully written story.

I am so excited to start another paranormal story that has some of the great aspects of a paranormal read with a very fresh story line. The plot is only just started in this book and it seems to me that its only going to get better.

I am happy that all the books are currently available and I can just keep on keeping on and read all about it. The story is definitely one worth reading. The pacing was a bit slow for me at times but the author did a wonderful job of building the characters and the story.

I am just a little bit ADD and when the pace slows I have a bit of a hard time with continuing. I am glad I did though. It really picked up towards the middle and the story went from good to great. So many secrets so many stories so many great characters.

Every time I thought I had things figured out the story took another turn. It was great. The characters were pretty awesome. I liked the main character. She was in denial for most of the book but she was pretty level heeded in fact that is probably why she was in so much denial.

She was way to level headed to believe anything paranormal existed and she may be one of them on top of that. I also liked her roommates very much. I loved Della and Miranda their constant bickering was a real comediac act.

They were both really loyal characters. I love loyal characters. The love story wasn’t the entire focus which was good for me. I love romance in my books but I do get tired of them being the total focal point.

It is still very important to the story and a big part of Kylie’s new life but there was so much more going on. There was a bit of insta-love but not the oh my I can’t live without you type of insta-love but the kind of insta-love that is clearly insta-attraction.

There is a love triangle of course and argh when will these stop. I really don’t think it was needed in this story but it’s there and I do love both boys already. I know this triangle is going to break my heart one way or the other.

Lucas is the brooding bad boy full of passion and Derek is the sweet can’t resist you kind of boy. I really did fall for both of them. I am hoping there will be a clear winner for me later on in the books.

In The End: It was a great read and I will for sure carry on with this series.

I think Kylie has to be one of the luckiest unlucky girls around. She gets in trouble when she’s not at fault she has parents that aren’t really there for her and then she gets shipped off to a camped for troubled teens.

It seems bad right? Yet it’s probably one of the best things that could have happened to her. From the very beginning of this novel you can empathize with Kylie. When she’s not happy with someone you’re not happy.

If she’s panicked then you’re in a panic. If she’s happy well. you get where I’m going with this. Kylie’s character and voice is very strong in this novel and that makes the story that much easier to get into.

Kylie definitely had her fair share of moments where you pitied her but I think the friends and discoveries that she made at Shadow Falls more than makes up for everything else. Throughout the story I found myself wanting to be at Shadow Falls.

Not only is it eerily fascinating but the people there are equally as enthralling to me. From Miranda to Della to the camp counselors and fellow camp mates the characters – big or small – took on lives of their own each with their own distinctive attitudes and personalities.

Aside from Kylie I think I have to say that my second favorite character is Della. Although it seems that Della wouldn’t be such a stand-out character in the beginning she really did pop out for me. She and Miranda make the perfect friends for Kylie in their own individual ways.

And their fights with one another? Classic. The love interest(s) was also a thing to be reckoned with. It looks like we might be setting up for a love triangle which at this point could go either way.

Surprisingly enough I didn’t detest it as I typically do with love triangles. The ending actually caught me off-guard which is encouraging and definitely welcomed. From the characters to the plot everything in this story was wonderfully written.

I love the voice that C. C. gave to her characters and I’m eagerly awaiting Born at Midnight’s sequel Taken at Dawn to see what happens next with all of my favorite characters.

Brought after becoming obsessed with the TV series. Currently on Book 2 and I am even more obsessed with the Shadowhunter world now. Brilliant Book Series so far!

Excellent YA series Cassandra Clare really weaves a great story over the six books with vampires, werewolves fairies and the like, enjoy

In The Way of Shadows (Night Angel #1) by Brent Weeks we meet Azoth who is an orphan that hates his life. When he crosses paths with Durzo Blint the most renown Wetboy/assassin he begs Blint to train him.

Blint accepts on two conditions: Azoth has to kill his master Rat to prove himself worthy and he has to abandon his street friends. It was successful. Durzo then proceeds to changing Azoth by teaching him in the art of murder and giving him a new name– Kylar.

Kylar get adopted by the Drakes a not very powerful family and befriends the Gyres that are nearly on top of the social pyramid. After that well he gets dragged into this messed up but very interesting political intrigue.

The Way of Shadows is a fast-paced dynamite of a novel. I was up late into the night burning through pages to find out the next twist. I have to admit I love a good assassin-themed novel. Weeks does a great job with characterization and I became really attached to Kylar Momma K and Logan; some awesome characters with convincing moments.

In a character/plot driven novel The Way of Shadows doesn’t get bogged down in description and it was much appreciated. Brent Weeks is a great story teller and his writing is plenty strong enough to carry the load.

I call the book fun and it is but that’s not to diminish it in any way. There are plenty of emotional scenes and even though I could see the strings being pulled I still got drawn in. There’s as much action as any reader could want varied and interesting magic tight plotting from a good number of interesting points of view.

The pacing is good and there are few info dumps. I could perhaps have stood fewer discussions on the city’s varied architecture but that’s the very minor niggle on the back of a great deal of enjoyment.

I recommend this book for anyone who loves a good assassin book and to anyone who loves to get lost in a good book than just plunges you into the action.

This is a great series of books. I’d already ready them once before i bought them, and it took me less than a week to read all 3 as they’re impossible to put down. The books are, initially, a classic high fantasy adventure.

Theres the world, theres the map in the front of each book so you can check where places are, theres the usual intrigue of courtly politics, war, magic and desire. But theres something different about these books.

Theyre fantasy for grown ups. Theres swearing, theres gore, theres rape and murder. Its not gratuitous and its not always brilliantly written, but it does spin an excellent yarn. Its quite dark and that appealed to me greatly.

While the story is told largely from the point of view of Azoth, theres an astonishing array of characters and Weeks has managed to wrangle them all brilliantly. The scope of the plot, the scale of the events, is quite breathtaking and the story remains exciting and interesting throughout the nearly 2,100 pages.

Many of the events in the story that this book tells are brushed over in such a way that they seem almost insignificant. They are, however, absolutely pivotal things. There are three characters in particular that are doing remarkable things, truly heroic quests, but the story is never told in detail.

Weeks handles this really well and it adds an incredible depth to the saga as a whole. Overall this was a gritty, solid story. It was entertaining, it was a page turner and it was filled with some really clever ideas and some extremely talented worldbuilding.

Actually, I am foreigner, so I read “The way of shadows” to learn English better. It’s such a great book ( I love this fantasy-fighting- mystery- intrigues genre) that I got addicted. With it’s own world, magic and characters I got “devoured” so much that I had to read whole series.

In one sentence: “Fast- paced, full of action, love, drama and inner thought of characters, who develop through story. Simply amazing book! Few more words bout story: Azoth is decided to become Durzo’s apprentice to not be a guild rat anymore, since he knows hardship’s of such life.

Going through much, he gets what he wants not knowing that he’ll once have to decide between his master and his friend. Will he kill his master?.

If you want the forces of Tzeentch, highly recommend these troops

Great sculpts, however the outside of the leg armor of the models are les detailed as other kits from the GW product line.

If you are reading all the books, still need to read this one. Sort of boring. Not much new info. Still recommend buying here than on Amazon or other reading platforms as this is WAY cheaper!

I am so into this type of sci fi and this is well worth it. Cassandra Clare products are the best. Before you think I am odd I am a college educated Doctorate in Business ethics that will tell you all of us need a fantasy world to off set the real hard world.

This book explains the RULES of the Shadowhunters society. Its interesting. The entire collection by Cassandra Clare is well worth your time.

If you like adventure, treachery, love, ruination. Enjoy flights of fancy and a different look at worlds like Shadowhunters, vampires, werewolves and faeries. Wildly Different worlds than expected.

This is my favorite series. I was hooked since the first book. It’s amazing I love it. I still haven’t read the last book but I really want to buy the whole collection and start from the beginning. I started watching the show shadow hunters but it sucks.

Doesn’t really captivate the characters the way I did while reading. This series is worth it for my fiction fanatics.

Just like they say get your kids reading young lol. But seriously i am a huge reader. I love anything supernatural. I have read most of Cassandra Claires books so when i saw this series i new i had to buy them.

The first was awesome. An this one is just off the charts. Its like a movie i can see in my head as i read. Definitely a page turner. Its from the series The dark Artifices. If you haven’t read i seriously suggest you do.

She does an awesome job with the characters an detail. An there is also some characters from her other shadowhunter books. Completely worth every penny an i cant wait to buy the next book in this series.

Absolutely love this! I bought this book the week prior (May 15th) and I live in New Zealand. On release day (May 23rd) it was shipped to me. I received it today (May 26th) – Super fast shipping. Started reading it and I honestly just can’t put it down! I feel like I will easily sit up for the whole next 24hrs reading this.

Archangel’s Shadows by Nalini Singh is the 7th book in her Guild Hunter’s series. I am a big fan of Nalini Singh & her Psy/Changeling series. It bothered me that I did not have a chance to read this series since Sandy was always telling me how great it was.

So I was determined to get ahead on my reading and this summer I was able to sneak in time to read 6 books. I am so glad I did as it proves that Nalini is a fantastic writer who can change the format and still put together another fabulous series.

Now I had the opportunity to read the latest novel in this series and do the dual review with Sandy. Archangel’s Shadows picks up where the last book left off (Archangel’s Legion) right after the battle of New York.

Raphael’s angels are recovering and the newly found Legion are helping rebuild New York. This book belongs to Ash and Janvier though we get to spend time with many of our favorites such as Raphael Elena Dimitri Honor Illium and Aodhan.

I also want to note that Naasir has become another intriguing character that I cannot wait to find out more of him. Ash is a top notch hunter who is a friend of Elena and Honor. Janvier is one of Dimitri’s top vampires and he works closely with Ash.

There is no question that Janvier is in love with Ash but she holds a secret that stops her from any kind of relationship. They do have some wonderful chemistry together and their banter between each other is awesomeÖ.

I loved Ash and Janvier together. They both work together to find out who was committing horrific murders that left their victims drained. Raphael and his Seven worried that it looked so much like Lijuan’s doing though she was either dead or in the throes of a long recovery; they suspected some of her infected angels may have been left behind in New York.

Ash and Janvier work quietly and quickly so not to alarm the city to discover the culprit. This is a very exciting mystery with a few twists along the way; though at times early on it was a slower pace as we learned more about Ash.

As exciting the hunt was for the killers the best part was watching Janvier and Ash act on their feelings which will become sizzling. As Ash reveals her secret it is Janvier’s dedication to Ash that will help her move forward.

I loved both of them but I totally fell in love with Janvier as he took care of his Ash. I do not want to give spoilers but I will say that I worried that they would not be able to stay together. Nalini Singh does it again with another wonderful addition to her Guild Hunter series.

There are so many more Angels that need their happy endings. I cannot wait for the next book. If you have not started this series you should not wait as it is a gem.

I have to say that this is easily the best of the Guild Hunters Series. Such a beautifully written story that made it hard for me to put the book down! If only it became part of its own spin-off series.

The Story of Ash and Janvier is truly beautiful and I wish it went on forever! Much love to Nalini Singh for providing the world with this gem.

One of my favourite authors. I’m enjoying the guild hunter series by nalini singh and each book gets better and better.

This series is awsome! If you love the vampires werewolf type stories than this is definitely for you. It is very well written and keeps you interested. I haven’t found a boring page yet. I’ll definitely be continuing my journey through these books and then will look at other titles this author has to offer!.

This book series has been a favourite of mine for such a long time. So far the quality is amazing and I love how well it was packaged to ensure the safety of the box set. Would definitely recommend for any young adult reader.

This box set is the perfect way to experience The Mortal Instruments. Not only are the books amazing, but the covers for these books are also gorgeous as well. Definitely, a must-buy.

These are ESSENTIAL to any TTRPG game. Even more-so then most character minis, these make game play smooth, assisting in keeping track of active spells and locations is made easy by these. That in addition to the fact that these minis are some of the better painted mini’s I’ve seen.

One or two of the flimsier portions of plastic are bent, but a little hot water and that can be taken care of. Highly recommend!.

We’ve been using dice to represent spiritual weapons, mage hands and the like. Now we have something much better.

Best way to represent works is to use the actual spell. If you have characters that cast any of these regularly it’s worth it

I love this new product that Staples is carrying. I’m sure that if it’s only promotional so i intend to purchase all I can when I can. The vibrant colors are amazing. The pens write very well. Both gel and ballpoint.

I purchased the pink ballpoint pens as well as the white ballpoint pens. I also purchased the multi colored gel pens. I love the pink. I also love how vibrant the highlighters are. I would highly recommend this product.

I am looking forward to purchasing some of the notebooks.

I recently purchases a couple of boxes of these pens to leave around the office – general office supplies. Well, as people began to use them we were pleasantly surprised at how smooth the pens write.

Initially, these were purchased simply because they’re a beautiful, clean design. After purchasing, I’ve become a fan. Now not only do I have an eye catching pen, which people are constantly commenting on, but I’ve got a very high quality pen.

These are now the staple writing tool in our office.

Not a huge fan of the Mega Construx kits, but the price and that it was Halo was a great combination. The reason why it is not getting a better review is because sometimes the pieces don’t stay togeher all the time, and that the instructions are unclear at times.

It was worth getting, because my son is a fan of Master Chief.

Good little set that comes with 4 figures at an affordable price. The vehicle is on the small side, but that’s to be expected because in the game it’s a small vehicle. The kid receiving this as a gift really liked the set because of the figures.

I was sent this product a while ago to build and review, my 9 year old grandson played with this and was able to complete construction. However pieces were a little difficult to put together as the instructions would show you as a whole picture and then you would have to make a good guess as to where the little pieces fit together.

The detail on the figures have good detail on them. My grandson said to make the instructions more clear , but the mega construx is good to handle. Sorry I didn’t take pictures.

I love it all. I have been playing wow and collecting these collectors editions since the beginning. This is another one to add to my collection.
