I really like the sofa. It has a great look and so far has stood up to being smeared with peanut butter by my kids. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that I didn’t like the fact that the support legs were not the same color as the other legs.
My sofa is in the middle of the room and it is a bit odd to have mismatching legs. If your sofa is going to be against the wall it should be just fine.
This sofa is amazing! Looking at product photos and review photos I was worried that it would look and feel cheap in real life, however once it arrived I was positively surprised. The fabric feels good quality and the couch overall looks great.
The only thing I would advise to be mindful of is that the cushions are quite hard.
It came just as pictured and was easy to assemble. It is firm for sure. This is not one of those sofas you can get cozy and cuddle up in. We kept it for a while and ended up selling to get something a little more comfy.

Small 2 person sofa. Its a bit on the harder side but the assembly was easy and it serves its purpose. If you want something for the aesthetics and to fit a scheme go for it. Don’t expect to be the most comfortable.

I waited until we had our sofas for 7 months before writing this review so I could give honest feedback. We purchased two sofas as opposed to a sofa and loveseat. If you can afford to get the sofas you really want, do it.
We decided to save cash and get these super cute and comfy sofas. If you do get these I HIGHLY recommend getting the insurance, just to be safe. In the long run it’s cheaper to pay for the insurance instead of being out a sofa that is no longer safe to use.
After about 3 months, one of the arm rests on sofa #1 started to get loose. After a few months it’s so loose that our seat pillows don’t stay on correctly. For sofa #2, after maybe 4 months I noticed something sharp poking out the back of the sofa.
If could have happened sooner than 4 months but since we had the sofa against the wall I never noticed. Turns out it was some of the wood inside the sofa. As time has passed it’s gotten worse with the wood tearing through the back.
I’ve even cut myself on it a few times. Both sofas seem droopy on the back area that you lean on, which you can see in pictures I posted. I didn’t include pics with the throw pillows so you can see how it seems to sag.
I have to mention that I did my best to arrange the back area and seats so they look fluffy and nice. Now, we DID get insurance on both sofas but the store has given me such runaround it’s ridiculous.
Basically they tell us to go back every two weeks to see if our type of sofa came in on the truck. They can’t place an order for the sofa, so we have to go back every two weeks to check. It’s HORRIBLE.
Going on month 2 of waiting on replacing our sofas, in the mean time the ones we have are getting worse and unsafe for our family.
I would overall recommend this to anyone. I have 3 kids and always have extra kids with a dog. We’ve had it for two years and it’s held up amazing! I searched & searched for 6 months for the right couch, searched big lots & saw this one online luckily my big lots had one in the truck out back we purchased it without even setting down on it.
The cushions are wider cushions & take the best naps. The back cushions are stitched in place which is a plus for us. I purchased the Hudson slate recliner to pair with the set.
We bought this couch in July 2020, and at first we really liked it. until the material started to fray within a few days. We paid for the warranty on it a decided to use it after it continued to fray and the material started to pill.
Also, one set of throw pillows has a button on each side and these ripped off rather quickly. We Implemented the warranty the beginning of December 2020. still don’t have a replacement. We also had to pay a “reserve fee” of 10% of what the price of the couch was in order to get the couch in.
Now today we are being told they don’t order the couches, they get what they get and they have no idea when a new couch might come in to replace the one we bought. We paid for a warranty that is USELESS.
Contacted cooperate and they were no help. This will be the last time we purchase from Biglots. Buyer beware and stay away from the warranty. We thought with it being Broyhill it would be better quality, but we were wrong.

This sofa provides a supportive place to rest, whether it’s an in-depth conversation or a hot tea or coffee, it’s perfect for you! Creating a refined look with this modern and charming sofa will no doubt be the highlight of your home!.
I would have given this three stars for quality, but the price was right. You get what you pay for. I mostly found this piece to accent my larger sofa and be a pet resting spot, my cats love velvet. It was easy to put together and looks exactly like the photo.
The gold color was perfect, I just can’t get over how unsubstantial it feels. It’s not a forever piece. I think an office or guest room type setting is perfect for it.
Super cute and comfy for my office. Not the highest quality, but definitely better than what i was expecting considering how cheap it is. Only real complaint is the pillows are slightly different sizes, and the couch is smaller than 57.
8” closer to 56”… But color is stunning and it’s surprisingly comfortable.
Love it! I was hesitant to order since it was cheaper, but I did and I don’t regret it! It’s comfy and the perfect size for where I needed it in my library. The color is beautiful and assembly was very simple! Highly recommend!.
My Bettie Chofa is a mid-century modern beauty! Made of 100% polyester, this contemporary sofa with an added chaise sports a tufted seat back, understated track arm and slender, slightly flared wooden legs.
Add in a comfy layer of my famous Bob-O-Pedic Memory Foam along with four trendy accent pillows and you’re ready to sit in comfort – and style, of course!.
The Bettie is a sweet throw back to mid-century furniture. It does remind me of a couch my mother had that had a plastic slip cover which was a must have in a family of seven. :). When you first sit on it, the cushion is very stiff and you realize quickly that your spine is properly alighted.
After a minute or so the Bob’s memory foam goes to work and the seating is quite comfy. It takes a while, like with any new couch, to find your Zone. If I had one minor change, I’d like the seat cushion to be a tad deeper.
I’m never a fan of most pillows that come with sofas, I prefer to buy them, if needed, separately. But the Bettie pillows are very nice and it works well in my space. My daughter is moving out of my home and she will be placing an order for the Orange Chofa set next month.
The installers built the sofa on site within 10 minutes and even arrived ahead of schedule. Overall, a very nice couch, traditionally well-made with removable cushions which is a real plus.
After comparing quite a few couches, we chose this one due to the unique color and sleekness. It’s definitely on the harder side, but still comfortable enough to enjoy. The color that you see online is nearly identical to what you receive, Bob’s did a great job there.
If you’re debating paying the extra money for someone to put this together for you, don’t bother. It’s a 5 minute job drilling in the legs and sliding the back into the brackets. That’s it. Another thing worth noting, the communciation process is great.
Bob’s will give you weekly emails until its time to schedule, they work with you via text to coordinate, and were very punctual. Only little hiccup during the whole process is that the middle leg on the couch isn’t touching the floor, clearly a little defect/size issue with a leg but other than that, perfectly satisfied with customer service and the product.
This sofa is way better than what I expected. I had seen it and tried it out in the store but having it in person at home was a different experience. Although it is firm, it is comfortable for long hours of sitting and lounging.
The fabric is well made and I don’t think it will produce pilling. It is stream lined and modern, not bulky, which is exactly what I was looking for. It sits higher than what I thought to. It’s not a struggle to get up from the sofa.
Lastly, the color works great. It’s a great neutral without being dull.
The perfect timeless piece for small spaces like apartments and offices, or for extra living room seating, this curved-arm sofa blends modern with classic elegance. Straight out of a magazine, your guests will also appreciate the Clara’s comfortable cushions and cozy upholstery.
it’s not brown, it is gray, the box said brown, and the advertised picture shows brown. I got a great deal on this during the Target deal days, so I’m keeping it. Other than the color issue, it’s sturdy, took two of us women about 30 minutes total from unboxing to put together.
It is comfortable. I replaced a Serra loveseat, and this is definitely way more sturdy and comfortable. For the price, definitely get this loveseat.
Love the look of this couch. It is pleasing in the color palate and looks great in my space. Putting it together was a bit challenging but mostly because 2 of the metal brackets were bent, upon arrival.
I had to bend the brackets back to connect the front board and the right side arm. Besides that, it seems to be holding up great in the week we have had it and used it.
Sturdy and beautiful. The Sitka sofa is a classic in the purest sense: modern shape, clean lines, and cushions so deep you need a life vest. This white sofa has removable cushions for easy cleaning, a corner-blocked wooden frame, and seriously soft throw pillows that come included with the couch.
The Sitka, like all pieces from Article, is aesthetically beautiful. This is our second sofa purchased from Article and after now having two different sofas, I can report that I am seeing a trend. While the furniture is visually attractive and looks great in an Instagram post, it’s not the most comfortable furniture by any stretch of the imagination.
I may just be biased for couches that I can flop down on (by flop down I mean dropping into a seated position from standing) when tired but I can tell you I tried that on my last couch the first day we bought it and thought I might’ve sprained my back (I didn’t, but I sincerely thought that I did when it happened).
We’ve owned our Sitka for two months and while it was fairly comfy the first week, it didn’t take long for it to settle into the same stiffness as our last couch. To describe another way, if I watch a movie on my couch, my rear end is numb by halfway through.
I have two other couches in my home from other companies but this is the only couch I have that problem with. Additionally, I’ve attached a photo of the little fuzz balls a couch can get after awhile with this type of fabric, but again, I wouldn’t expect this after only two months of ownership.
We only have three people that live in our home and we haven’t had visitors in COVID so it’s not like we’ve had a ton of use on it. Moral of the story, buy Article sofas for the looks, not for the comfort.
I’ve had my sofa for a year and a half now. The sofa has been pilling about a month after delivery, but Article did offer me a credit to purchase a tool to manage the pilling. I purchased the tool, but the amount of pilling that’s happening has made it impossible to manage.
Also, the material water stains very easily, so be mindful of that in case you accidentally spill. The look of the sofa is very modern and appealing, but I can’t say I’d purchase this sofa if I had to do it all over again.
The sofa would function well in a low traffic room, but I wouldn’t advise purchasing this for an everyday use/lounging sofa for long term. Once I hit the 2 year mark, I’ll likely be in the market for a replacement sofa unfortunately.
I have a lot of furniture from Article and love their aesthetic, quality and price. I love my Article pieces, but this is an exception. I got this couch for the aesthetic I was looking for, but regret this purchase.
It is very hard to clean, not performance fabric at all. Anything used to spot clean or blot leaves a water stain, even an upholstery cleaner across the whole surface of the seats are tough to get stains out.
I would have gotten a different couch from Article if I had known these facts, because now it just looks terrible after a year of purchase. It’s money wasted on a couch that didn’t last.
We received the loveseat this week with a slice through the front of the arm. Then, we received half of our sofa only to realize there’s also a rip in the arm of the cushion on that as well. I was told I can have $50 taken off of the purchase price which is laughable considering the set was about 1800.
00 and there’s visible damage OR they can send me replacement pieces which I do not want as we have 3 children and I’m very much questioning the quality and durability of this material. $50 off for visible damage the day we received these is unacceptable.
It gets better though- UPS delivered the boxes and they have holes in them. the corners of the boxes are soggy and definitely exposed the couches inside. Finally, I get someone on the phone to help me resolve how to send these back and she informs me that if I can’t send them back in the boxes that likely caused the damage in the first place that I’ll have to pay a 20% of the purchase price fee.
“Tape them back together” Yes, because after receiving damaged products the fair thing to do is have the customer tape the soggy damaged box up and send it all back. Absolutely absurd. Also, if I can somehow tape together the boxes for them they’ll only charge me 10% of the purchase price to return DAMAGED products.
I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. Perhaps, Article furniture where they take pride in their workmanship & quality. The only reason these get 2 stars is they are pretty pieces but only buy them if you don’t plan on actually using them & cross your fingers they aren’t damaged.
We love our Vegan leather Albany sofa. We have 2 young children (3 & 7mo) with plans to have more and after seeing what our 3 year old did to our precious couch we knew we needed something that would stand up better to messy kids.
The vegan leather is soft and can easily be cleaned off due to food or drink spills. It is on the firm side but still very comfortable. You won’t sink into this couch at all, which is what I prefer to a soft cushion.
We have hopes to purchase the love seat in the future so to have a matching set. My only negative is that we’ve not even had this couch a year and we’re already seeing some discoloration (yellowing) at the front of the seat cushions.
It’s not too bad yet but I am curious to see how it holds up long term. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and feel that this was the best option for our family for the price and quality compared to other couches we looked at.
Also we moved a few months after purchasing and it was very convenient to be able to take this couch a part and save space in the moving truck.
This couch is cute and comfortable. but holy cow. Assembly was not as easy as the video makes it look. Getting the arms on was easy but getting the back on was SO hard. I tried to do it alone (I’m pretty competent and love putting furniture together usually) but gave up after an hour.
Tears were shed. I then had one friend help me – not much progress. Called another friend and we finally got it on. It was nearly impossible for us. We would get one side on then not be able to get the second side on.
We tried every method imaginable. In the end, we finally got all 4 brackets aligned when we pushed the armrests in with all our force. I wish the written instructions had been more detailed. The video was helpful but it would’ve been nice to have some troubleshooting tips.
Overall, the couch feels sturdy but the assembly was not worth it. I know this company has a partnership with Task Rabbit but it also markets these pieces as being super easy to assemble.
Worthy of their names, it’s hard not to adore loveseats. Whether they’re tacked on to a seating group or used as a primary piece in small-scale living rooms, they add a new look to your layout without stealing valuable floor space.
Proudly made in the USA, it showcases rolled arms and a tight camelback with button tufting for a traditional look. Measures 41” H x 69” W x 40” D.
After a few months, when really sitting in the loveseat, the cushions sink down too much making the the armrests too high to sit comfortably. Then the filling pokes through making the seat itchy. The armrest seems to be covered with cardboard underneath the fabric and cushion.
The armrests on the inner side push in when leaning on them. The design is beautiful but with everything there are some flaws. Too good to be true.
I can’t express how nervous I was about ordering a couch online. I wasn’t even able to get a sample of the fabric since they were out of stock on the Belsire Berry. But this sofa (and matching loveseat I also purchased) are amazing.
Incredibly comfortable and perfect for my modern-Victorian space. The delivery did take almost 3 months which was disappointing, but they arrived in perfect condition.

I was beyond disappointed with my Nomad sofa. I felt I was misled and some false advertising happened, and I did not receive what I was shown/told I would. I had seen the raving reviews on their website and a few other articles and even though spending $2k+ (after a Labor Day discount) was a huge investment for me, I figured it would be worth it to get a quality sofa, that would stay beautiful and comfortable for years to come.
I couldn’t have been more wrong. The one star is for quick shipping and pretty quick responses once I started contacting customer service, including an easy return process (FedEx pick-up from my apartment).
The couch is also extremely easy to put together and take apart. However, that doesn’t make up for the couch itself, which was horrible. I live in an NYC apartment and wanted a comfortable statement couch since I’d be spending a lot of time on it, working from home and relaxing, each day.
The “performance velvet” looked nothing like the photos. It seemed like a cheap, not soft, flat-looking microfiber with absolutely no texture, so it was both unattractive and showed every move you made as well as immediately attracted my dog’s hair in the few hours I had it set up.
I was expecting a shinier, more textured, more quality looking velvet based on the photos. The couch was also strangely upright and not deep enough to sit comfortably on (and I’m only 5’4!). And last but not least, it was just horrendously uncomfortable, the cushions were thin, flimsy, cheap, and hard, like sitting at a not-very-nice dentist office’s waiting room.
No sinkability at all, I just kind of bobbed there. It was less comfortable than my last ikea couch, and I was upset I’d paid SO much money to get such terrible quality. I couldn’t keep such an uncomfortable, low-quality, and unattractive couch, especially for the hefty price tag.
To make matters worst, even though the return process was fast and easy, it wasn’t free returns and I had to pay a 10% fee to return something I never would have bought if I’d been shown what the true product quality was.
I’m also suspicious of how many positive reviews are on their site— Check out Reddit if you want to see some more truly accurate reviews. Burrow, do better. Make a better product, lower your price point to be accurate for what you do sell, and don’t misrepresent the quality you are selling.
It’s not right. Everyone else, go with trusted furniture companies, not tech companies that decided to make furniture, even if it costs a few hundred more. I ultimately decided on a West Elm couch I tried in person, got to choose my fabric and color, and got to use Affirm through their website to pay interest-free in 3 installments over the next 3 months to help me pay off even though the couch I chose is a little more expensive.
But I know at least I’ll truly be making an investment, enjoying my couch daily for years to come, and that I’ll be getting what I pay for.
The Nomad leather sectional is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. We originally ordered the four-seater corner sectional, but then added a fifth seat. Burrow made it a snap to order an additional seat — you just have to reach out to them directly because they apparently changed some of the interlocking design at some point and they want to make sure that you get an additional seat that works with your model.
The chestnut leather color is rich and seems sturdy. I waited almost three months to write this review to see how it held up against my 45-pound dog’s nails jumping up and down to look out the window whenever the mail carrier comes by.
So far, no noticeable scratches. It’s a breeze to clean (very helpful because said dog sheds a lot) — basically just brush it off. No major spills so far, but my dog’s occasional drool does not appear to have penetrated the leather or caused any dark spots.
Comfort level is great — both my husband (who is a foot taller than me and about 80 pounds heavier) and I agree. Plenty of room to spread out, and I’ve fallen asleep on it multiple times. Assembly with two people was not exactly easy, but could have been a lot worse.
There were a few points where the instructions could have been a bit clearer, and snapping some of the pieces together takes considerable strength. Once you get going though, it’s kind of like putting together a big puzzle and not too bad.
I’d estimate that the entire assembly took about two hours with two (not especially handy) people, and adding the extra seat later took less than 20 minutes. Three minor words of caution. First, I recommend checking that all pieces are included BEFORE beginning assembly.
We realized after being almost finished that we were missing one support leg. Burrow was quick to respond and ship us the missing part (plus a bonus throw blanket for our trouble!), but for a few days, we had a fully assembled couch that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on for fear that it would collapse without that one leg.
Second, two suggestions for the seat cushions: make them reversible or else provide some sort of velcro attachment. I feel like they are the worst of both worlds in that they move around a fair bit (which wouldn’t be an issue with velcro) but also cannot be flipped in the case of a spill or damage.
At least one of those options would solve one of those two problems and make me very happy. Finally, not a warning so much as an FYI: because it is a modular design, there are seams along the back of the couch between each seat.
I think this looks totally fine and classy the way it’s designed, but I imagine someone who doesn’t have the sofa against a wall and cares a lot about having a flat back like on traditional (non-modular) sofas might be bothered by it.
Again, I think it looks totally great, and I would much prefer to have the ability to move and rearrange the pieces than have a solid piece of fabric across the entire back. Overall, I’m really pleased with the sectional’s quality, comfort, and design.
It’s perfect for my space, and seems like a good deal for real (ethically sourced) leather. Burrow’s customer service is great, and I’d definitely buy from them again.
We were sold on Burrow mainly for it’s scratch resistant value prop. We have two cats who make every piece of furniture their scratching post. Happy to report that Burrow came through with that – our cats don’t bother.
A few things I’m not happy with: 1. The quality seems a bit janky. Our sofa is not up against a wall so when a friend was over and leaned into it, the whole backside of the sofa tilted in which startled him and led to unnecessary apologies.
Frankly, it embarrassed us and we waved it off with a, “oh, not your fault it’s a cheap couch. ” 2. It’s actually not cheap. We would expect this quality from say, Wayfair, but I was hopeful that this new company would deliver quality pieces as we’ve had friends order from similar companies like Joybird and Article.
The only good thing about this is that my 3 year old no longer jumps on the sofa because I’ve warned her the sofa might fall apart if she does and sadly, she believes it will too. Maybe that’s my fault – I did order knowing it came in several boxes.
I think I expected too much from a sofa we had to assemble. Lesson learned. 3. We ordered the Nomad Velvet sofa in Dusk. The color doesn’t quite match the photos which we could live but what I was most disappointed is that the sofa isn’t velvet it’s “performance velvet” which is mentioned in the description but I had no idea there was a difference especially because the title refers to it as “velvet.
” There’s a huge difference – think microsuede. Would I recommend to a friend? No. Why didn’t I return it? The sofa came late which is no fault of Burrow’s but it did arrive the exact same day I returned from the hospital with our newborn.
Burrow does have a generous return policy however, we threw the boxes out and 30-days goes by super quick when you’re on zero sleep and caring for a new baby. We also would have had to wait months for a new sofa from anywhere else so I guess now we’re stuck with it.

Brushed rose gold metal legs further accentuate the simple elegance of this gorgeous sofa.
I love this sofa sooooo Much! I was lucky to get the last one! I had been looking for a while & I’m very happy with this purchase! Excellent quality! incredible beautiful Leather. The color is Magnificent! I got the turquoise.
It’s a deep rich darker emerald color. Just so unique! I am shorter so it fits me very comfortably! Great back support. And looks sooo modern. GREAT BUY! Great quality!.
It’s a really nice couch. It tore really easily when I accidentally hit a bit jutting out on my wall, but that’s probably on me! The cushions are a nice combination of firm and squishy. It’s pretty high off the ground, but that’s not a bad thing.
This sofa has exceeded my expectations. I loved the photos on Wayfair’s website but was less than impressed by the photos posted in reviews. In person, however, the sofa is aesthetically beautiful and more durable than I anticipated.
A small-scale sofa with sophisticated style, Reese adds refinement with details like button tufting, precise welting and tall, tapered legs. The shallow seat features structured cushions for supportive, upright sitting for people of all sizes.
Love love love this couch! Design is great and fabric works well for a family. It is firm and has kept its shape. This is nice for those of us who have a hard time picking ourselves off of the floor.
It is on the smaller size, so it does not appear to overpower the room. Also easy to clean. Looks classic, style to last a long time. We have the Andre also, and did not expect to like the Reese as well as we have.
We are considering purchasing the Reese sectional for our playroom and replacing the Andre in the living room with a Reese (Reese is a bit firmer). The only downside is the buttons, as with all buttons – they can catch occasionally.
In photo, you can see we paired with some other current (and older) pieces, in our family room. The style and tatum fabric easily mix into several color and texture schemes.
The Reese sofa caught my eye because it adds dimension to our living room without interfering with our large picture window with a great view. It’s low profile and attractive wooden legs complements the contemporary/modern look we were going for.
I love the fact that there are no pillow cushions on the back; it is remarkably comfortable without them. The fabric is attractive and seems it will be durable. The seat cushions are very supportive/firm but I spent a night sleeping on it when my dog was uneasy with recent fireworks – I slept like a baby through the night.
I really like this sofa and am so glad we bought it.
There are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for a couch for a small apartment. First, you’ll want to measure the space you have available and make sure to choose a couch that will fit comfortably.
Second, you may want to consider a smaller couch or one with a lower profile to make the most of your space. Finally, keep in mind that you can always add throw pillows or blankets to your couch to make it more cozy and inviting.
With these things in mind, you’re sure to find the perfect couch for your small apartment.
