20 Best Cotton Panties For Women (2023 Updated)

I want to start with saying, that is the the right size – at least by waist band. I was worried I guessed incorrectly when I put them on and it did not cover my whole butt. The front felt loose too, so maybe backwards? Nope, I checked tag and by lay-flat, these definitely have a larger back but were designed by someone who seems to think a third of one’s butt sits on the front of the pelvis? I am not sure these were made for humans.

I have never had this issue before in a lifetime of buying cheap underwear packs. The old, thin, ripping at the seams, pairs this was to replace, pairs that are from more years and weight changes ago then I can recall, fit better.

Those only don’t cover my butt all the way, they don’t assume a second smaller butt in the front. I even checked that these were made for women, but yes, they are. These are just that mal-formed. I have some men’s cotton boxer briefs that never fit quite right and the seam doesn’t stretch like the fabric so it digs into my legs – no surprise, I bought cheap.

THOSE fit less oddly than these underwears and I am /missing/ parts those were designed for. I also ordered some “performance” boxer briefs with these women’s underwear; those boxers, meant for men with dangly bits, felt like nothing, they are amazing.

These misshapen scraps of overpriced fabric fit the female body they claim to be designed for worse than tight men’s underwear by leagues. PS For those wondering – boxer briefs for women tend to be wedgie devices, but ones made for men are great under skirts as cheap multi-packs of shorts.

Conclusion: Don’t buy these unless you have 1/3rd of your butt on the front of your pelvis.

I ordered two packs of this underwear around two weeks ago. I did the initial wash before wearing and they’ve been washed once again since. No weird holes/rips/tears have happened due to the washing (cold water, low/medium heat) or from use.

The underwear is very comfortable, well-made and fits perfectly. The covered waist and leg banding is very comfortable and not restrictive. The fabric has a nice, substantial weight to it while still being light and easy to move in.

The structure itself holds up and in place without drooping or sagging while sitting and standing. It’s worth noting that the colors shown in the image are very off. The underwear is actually in soft pastel shades.

Maybe they used to be more boldly colored and it’s an older image. For example, the purple is more of a light lavender and the beige is a creamy off-white. This was consistent with both packs of underwear I ordered.

I would absolutely get more in the future when I need a restock.

These underwear are woven from the fabric found in heavenly clouds!!!! I don’t know why they do not sell these in the store. In my opinion, ALL underwear should be made of this fabric! It’s really breathable cotton with some elastic woven in there for the most fabulous fit ever.

And it’s not that weird microfiber crap (You know that garbage that has taken over underwear section) that they claim is breathable but in reality, it’s a breeding ground for sweat and moisture. (Let’s be honest when you wear size 10 and up in undies.

your thighs most likely rub together and you have sweat & microfiber AIN’T YO FRIEND!) These have very nice size legholes and they ACTUALLY STAY PUT around your bum. It’s nice to see that SOMEONE in design realized that plus-sized ladies don’t like picking their undies out of their crack every 3 steps, so they created this WONDERFUL underwear.

They are so great I just cannot say enough nice things about them. They’re high wasted but not too high. It smooths out the lumps in your bum (without being too restrictive b/c we don’t like restriction either) & panty liner or bladder pads ACTUALLY STAY ATTACHED TO THE CROTCH of the panty.

(unlike their evil microfiber replacements you find at local retailers that show ALL of your lumps b/c they’re so thin and they get so wet from sweat nothing sticks to them) The elastic that’s woven in these ultra-thin cotton not only breathes but allows them to conform to you, rather than leave weird diaper sweat pockets that hang under your gut and bum area.

(You ladies KNOW what I’m talking about. it’s what the 95% of available plus size COTTON – up your butt crawler undies are like) I wish they would take this formulation of these BRIEFS and run with it! They used to carry these in the stores, but not anymore.

I can’t figure it out. They’ve all been replaced with those HORRIBLE microfiber undies that SAY they are breathable. (which I guess technically it does have a lot of holes, but that does NOT equal breathability).

that microfiber is like saran wrap. it just breeds sweat & it sucks. Or those ill fitting cotton briefs that come up to your boobs and leave weird pockets under your bum and gut) I wish manufactures would read their own reviews and see how much people ADORE certain products like this one.

If you have never tried these undies and would like to have super comfy, very breathable panties that fit like a dream, stay out of your butt crack and keep your liners from coming undone. GET THESE UNDIES.

These panties are so comfortable to wear. It fits true to size and there was no issue putting on or taking off. I love the soft, cotton fabric with the soft waistband for my all day comfort. This style gives a full coverage in the front and back which is a great thing.

The waistband stays in place and doesn’t roll down, which is great as I’m an active person. It’s tag free for itch free moments which I absolutely love because that was always a hindrance for me. Compared to other brands I wore, this one will always be top notch for me as it’s a trusted one.

I love that it comes in a 10pk with multi-colors so I can switch up, instead of wearing the same regular black or grey ones. As a lover of this brand, I highly approve of the style, fit and cut of this underwear and will continue to wear them when needed.

Based on the number of stars in the reviews, I thought these would be a good purchase. Hey, they’re Hanes right? So wrong. As mentioned in the reviews, now that I’ve read them, this product is inferior in every way.

Sizing, (as they are cotton, I ordered a size larger than usual. didnt help), fit, (these were to be full cut briefs. Each one of the pairs is different from the other: low cut, square almost boy cut, french cut, misshapen, high waist, not full coverage for the rear etc), crotch area is so narrow a panty liner doesn’t fit, fabric is far from soft, elastic waistband is thin and cutting, leg openings are inconsistent even within the same pair.

I have washed them otherwise they’d be going back. I erroneously placed a duplicate order of these and two other items because my order was in transit and the site took me to the original order and ordered twice.

Luckily the second delivery can be returned! I have learned my lesson. read the reviews, dont just count the stars. I will also be contacting Hanes. Unacceptable.

The only nice things I can say about these are that they are cotton & have cute colors. However, the fit is HORRIBLE, & they are so narrow in the crotch that the elastic & seems fit where you do not want them to, & dig in & cut the skin there.

can’t say more w/o it being way too much information! At the same time, while that part & the elastic around the legs are way too small, the rest is HUGE, esp around the butt. And, I tried three different sizes, with the same issues in all sizes; these problems were not just in the smallest plus size that I did try (I am only reviewing these, because even though I did try a plus size pair, I am not even plus-sized normally, and they still were way too small in parts where you really do not want them to be, so I figured it might be worth mentioning this to those who do need larger sizes – that’s not meant as a judgement at all, but rather a warning that if the plus size are too small for someone who’s not plus sized, than anyone who is should really stay away, or at the very least know that these run small and big at the same time).

But anyway, I tried my usual size (not plus), & 1 smaller than my usual size, & 1 larger (the plus size pair). None even came close to being ok. And, the pairs that were supposedly the same size as one another (in the same 3 packs), were very inconsistent in sizing.

I literally held them up to one another & it was very obvious. Further, the waist band elastic was so loose they would not stay up. And, the crazy thing is that in almost every other pair of underwear or pants, I find the legs to be huge so it’s not like I have large legs & that’s why that part did not fit.

Also, they may have covered elastic, which I normally really like, but they were only partially covered on the outside, so it does nothing to prevent the elastic from irritating skin. I am sorry I wasted my money on these.

Years ago I loved Jockey, but then they changed, so I switched brands. After the brand I was using also changed, I decided to see if Jockey was better again, but instead foudn that they are worse. wish they would return to the quality & comfort of old.

The positives: I have been wearing Jockey underwear for about two decades. They are great for staying over a curvy booty! Very few wedgies here. The fabric is soft and the seams are comfortable. The Elance String Bikini’s are my favorite for comfort! The negative: While I used to be able to wear Jockey’s for several years before they wore out, the quality has dropped tremendously.

Now the elastic wears out in about a year and I’m back to picking wedgies. After hang drying my underwear for most of my life, I’ve even given up doing that because it doesn’t make enough of a difference in the life of the underwear.

They lacked the band and are just somewhat sewn together. After being washed, all the threads are poking out and falling apart. The fit isn’t quite the same either with the shoddy sewing job. I won’t buy these online or in store again.

I bought these a few weeks ago. I’ve been wearing them everyday. They are thinner than I thought they would be. They have great stretch, but I wish the waistband was a bit more snug. They are good in the butt and thigh area, but slide down my waist super easy.

I’ll wear them with pants, but not with a dress. I would constantly end up pulling them up my waist, which is smaller than my booty. Overall, they are very comfortable panties. I should have invested in black panties long ago.

Surprisingly disappointing. I purchased these as “period” panties. Went up a size to allow for any bloating and cycle discomfort. Tried them on, before my cycle and couldn’t even get them on. Beware if you are plus-sized, have plenty of junk in your trunk.

I bought this product to wear under my wedding dress for my second dress appointment. My dress is a skin tight minimalist crepe dress, so you can see everything, and white isn’t the most forgiving color.

The Classic Control Thong was perfect for smoothing out my stomach! I am usually a size 2 and 26/27 in jeans, but I do have bigger butt. I ordered both a small and an extra small, and the extra small was the better fit! No weird digging in around the hips/butt, it smoothed my waist, and is very comfortable! I do prefer to wear thongs, so I found it comfortable.

However, I can see how it could be uncomfortabale for someone not used to it. Also, it is more of a smoothing/light hold than a sturdy shape/sculpt. Saying that, I do think that this is the most comfortable for wearing all day on my wedding.

This is a great thong! I have bought several for my clients. I am a portrait photographer and offer boudoir sessions. We have sexy wardrobe available at our studio that our clients can wear. The fabric itself feels nice. It is smooth and doesn’t pinch or dig in. However it does not stay in place when putting pants on over. It tends to bunch up and ride up your cheeks, so that you have lines.

Throughout the day even when not being active, the underwear rides up and is uncomfortable on the crotch and butt, gives wedgies. I thought I would like this since I love the classic thong, but I would say stay away from this design.

I purchased the size 7 hi-cut Fruit of the Loom panties about 6 or so months ago. I like them all except for one thing. the waistbands are just way too high! All of these panties nearly cover my belly button! I have to be careful of wearing these panties with some of my pants/jeans, as the waistband might show.

So not cool! I’ve washed them in hot water numerous times to have them shrink a bit but, the waistbands are still pretty high up on me. And I don’t have a flat tummy! I think that if I did, my belly button would be fully covered! Other than this flaw, the panties are soft, they cover my backside well and I like the colors.

To the Fruit of the Loom executives – please have your employees make hi-cut panties with waistbands that are at least 1/2 an inch shorter. I think that I speak for most women when I state that I really don’t like having to worry about my panties’ waistbands coming out of my pants! Thank you.

I was elated to find the first panties that I loved after “Most Intimate Panties” ceased manufacturing their formerly high quality undies. Fit For Me fit well and was very comfortable. IMO, the best underwear are ones you do not think about once throughout the day.

A few months later I gladly purchased another pack of FFM mostly cotton panties. I knew it was too good to be true. The quality of the panty is not near what it was. The fabric is thinner and the elastic waistband does not have as much fabric surrounding it and is tighter than it was when I first purchased several months prior.

The stretchy waistband like I said is tighter and it is not comfortable against the skin due to more exposure of the skin to the elastic rather than fabric. I am sooo disappointed. Back to square one.

They’re ok. They don’t use enough material to completely cover the elastic on the seems. I don’t really mind but if someone is getting them because they are 100% cotton and their skin is sensitive, it might not be the best item to get.

It seems like all the seams are going to be a fail point… I don’t think they’ll hold up over time, but they are affordable enough to replace. They came pretty quickly and they were secure in the packaging.

I appreciated that no one could tell what I had ordered. Overall, I give them 3 stars. I probably won’t order them again. I would prefer something better quality but they aren’t awful for the price.

This was a reorder of cotton panties that I’ve ordered twice before. They are NOT cotton. At this point I can no longer order any clothing from walmart because the descriptions are false.

Great quality and very comfortable! I read all the reviews before buying. I always buy one size larger because these are 95% cotton and they always shrink one size after washing and drying. Glad so did, they fit perfect.

I’m a small 5”4 115 lbs, however, I ordered a medium and now they fit just right, not too tight and not too loose. Wish they were high rise though, these are mid/low rise.

I was skeptical if these were worth it considering they are a 4 pack, im so glad I took a chance on them. I have washed these a number of times the stiching is well made. They do not roll down at all or move around when you move.

They are soft as well I have a large scar from my second spine fusion and these are so soft I can have it right on my scar with no discomfort. They did not shrink at all the many washes and drying. I ordered 2 more packs already ! I’m a big woman and have a hard time finding underwear that don’t roll down. These are so soft. They are so well made to. They haven’t rolled down after 6 hours of wearing them and they are comfortable.

I ordered a package of white and a package of the pastel colors. The pastel colors are great. They fit and are comfortable. But the package of white is NOT so great. These are not as comfortable as the pastel.

And after only 3 washings, the elastic on the waist band is unraveling and one side seam came apart. I have sewed the waist band hoping to stop the unraveling but it continues to happen in different places.

I am very sorry I bought these and I will never buy them again !!!.

My 87-year-old mother wanted me to buy these for her after seeing them in one of the catalogs I pass on to her. She was an excellent seamstress so knows quality. She said they were very well made and liked that the waistband elastic was covered.

Only problem is they were too small on her but her biggest complaint was that they don’t go up all the way to waist. I believe she ordered a smaller size because a jacket she ordered from Blair was way too big so she was afraid to order panties in her regular size.

So I can’t say they run small because it’s probably because she ordered wrong size. If you don’t mind them sitting below your waist I think you would like these. In some catalogs the beige color looks absolutely awful.

The elastic bands are excellent, and the wide gusset provides substantial all-day comfortable support. Although they are often hard to get, the price is right. i have even dyed several whites to a different color.

These panties, as well as this seller, are amazing! The material is truly “clean” and natural, and the cut is so ingenious, that Small, Medium, and Large sizes All fit me, just with a different look (small was the most cheeky, large had the most coverage and highest rise).

Wonderful for everyday. Yes, there is a bit of panty line. In my experience, any elastic at all (even the smallest amount) will still show sort of panty line. The only way to avoid the line is to buy completely seamless but those tend to ride up, so you need different panties for different occasions.

That being said, these are wonderful 100% cotton (which is hard to find) everyday panties. Very comfortable and very very breathable. Great for summer. Great for hot weather, but I don’t know if they are “workout durable”.

I do wash them in a laundry bag bc they are “delicate”. And my only real complaint is that they are not tag less. I will definitely buy more though! I really love them.

I ordered these pricy panties and was expecting a better quality undergarment. I don’t mind paying for quality but I do mind misleading advertising. The elastic around the legs is scratchy and the overall sewing is poor quality work.

I purchased them in hopes of wearing without showing panty lines since they are said to be seamless…(not true). I would not recommend these to anyone. They are an overpriced, poor quality panty. Simply put, don’t waste your money.

I already had a couple of pairs before I made this recent purchase. I have been wearing Hanro undergarments for more than 25 years and they are without a doubt, the best quality undergarments I have.

So, when I needed to replace a few pairs these Momento briefs were my favourite and the ones I found to be the most comfortable and so an obvious replacement. I am very happy with them, as usual. I am sure you will be too.

Honestly, if it weren’t for the sizing on this, I would give it 5 stars. Buuut I do feel like the sizing is a bit off. For background, I normally just buy the high waist brief style and have gone between small and medium.

This has worked fine and other than the smalls being a bit tight around the thighs, they both work fine. I haven’t ever worn or bought a thong before but I love the quality and fit of Knickey underwear so I decided to give it a try.

The pair I originally bought was the wrong size, totally my fault, so I had to do an exchange for a medium, which is the size I originally thought I was going to get and the size I bought the high-waisted briefs in.

The exchange was super easy and fast. They even send me a free label so I didn’t have to pay to send it back. They fit right around my hips and have the great high-cut style that I enjoy, but as I mentioned earlier, they are just too big for me.

They almost bunch up around my waist and when I wear tighter clothing with them on, the extra material shows some, which kinda defeats the purpose of me buying a thong, as I wanted one for pants that showed my underwear lines.

I first purchased these in late 2021 and fell in love with them. When I was growing up, I wore a brand called SOEN. I couldn’t find a comparable, comfy brand. until Knickey. The Mid-Rise Hipster (and all the other styles I’ve bought so far) doesn’t dig into my body, is soft and smooth on the skin, and comes in cute colors.

My gray Mid-Rise Hipster unfortunately developed a tear around the crotch area, close to the seams, a few weeks ago. I emailed Knickey with photos of the tear, and they immediately got back to me. So happy to know that the torn one is getting recycled through their program and that I have a new one to wear thanks to the kindness and promptness of the Knickey team! If you have doubts about purchasing sustainable underwear, buy Knickey at least once: You have to experience this level of comfort yourself.

As someone with a larger backside, waistline, and thighs that often create issues for fitting into jeans, underwear, etc. , I appreciate the fact that I discovered this brand and that its team continues to deliver.

I previously had low rise panties (a different brand) that cut into my stomach a bit when sitting, partially because I needed to size up but also because of the cut. I decided to try these because of the fantastic materials and certifications and for better comfort.

I’m done buying toxic brands. These are breathable, great quality, and non-toxic! I have a combination of high rise pants and medium rise. These usually work with both. If not, I’ve rolled the top of the panties down a bit and they are still just as comfy.

These are also incredibly comfortable to sleep in. Not the cutest undies I’ve ever had, but I don’t care. I’m planning to order some of the same style of thongs and medium rise undies. For reference, I’m 5’6”, 140-145 pounds, and usually wear size 6 pants.

I tend to have a hard time finding bottoms that fit because I have thicker thighs and booty area, but otherwise a fairly athletic build with a small waist. I decided to size up to a large, and I’m very happy with the fit.

This thing is comfortable and is absolutely amazing. It’s great for a whole day wear.

These are very cute aesthetically and the fabric is very soft and comfortable in its own right. HOWEVER. The fabric is very thin and fragile- these will not last longer than a year. Also!!! The inside liner or the gusset rubs right on the top of my beef curtains IN NOT A GOOD WAY! It’s like the stitching bunches up in the front / at the tip of my vag and it is NOT COMFORTABLE!!! I tried to adjust and adjust and not doing it for me.

I tried cutting the liner out and I ended up putting a hole in the underwear. Just not worth it. I’m a size 8 in AE jeans and I’m 5 foot 9 inches and about 145 pounds and the coverage in the butt was good for me but the front was a nightmare.

Very sad!!! The liner on the inside should be longer / higher up and meet at the pubic bone or something or be sewn better idk!! Bc these fit my body I don’t think going smaller or bigger in size would have helped.

The design just sucks and idk how there’s so many good reviews on these. I’m just taking a loss on them since I already pulled the tags off and washed them all after trying them on with a thong underneath.

I have had two babies via c-section and if you’ve had more than one (or maybe even just one) c-section, you know your belly is never the same. I found that after my second c-section finding panties that fit has been a literal nightmare.

I have resorted to only wearing underwear when I have to over the last year because the situation is that bad. I do not enjoy going commando but I also hate wearing ill-fitting panties. I have never bought “intimates” from Old Navy but I am an avid ON shopper.

In a desperate search to find panties that don’t roll down and end up under my belly, squeeze the life out of me or just don’t come up high enough. I tried these. They are so comfortable, come up high enough to feel secure but not in an old lady granny panty type of way.

Honestly, they’re kind of sexy IMO. I’m a size 10-12 in jeans at ON so I went with the size medium in these. I also wear high waisted jeans/pants only so the fact that these are also high waisted does not bother me at all.

They did not come up over the top of any jeans I tried them on with. I ordered the pack that has white/blue/blue & white stripe/grey & white stripe/black. I love them all. Super soft and the best fit! I will for sure be ordering more ASAP.

Something just feels kind of off about this thong. I get this vibe with a good portion of Old Navy’s plus size clothing, where it feels like they just scale-up the skinny-people clothes without thinking about how to make the cut work.

I personally have a “pouch,” and it neither sits under it comfortably, nor over it. Also, the crotch area is really thin; if i do a splits-like motion, I am definitely not covered entirely. The sides of the underwear don’t stay up, and just roll around as I walk.

I feel like the band and crotch area need to be just a touch wider for their larger sizes for it to truly “work” the same way it probably works on thinner bodies. It is definitely still wearable for around the house though, and they do look super cute, but if I were to wear this out for hours at a time, I’d definitely be uncomfortable and having to make adjustments under my clothes all the time.

These are my new favorite undies!! Comfy, stretchy, soft… the waist band lays flat, doesn’t dig in and cause bulges. Affordable too. I will say, I really love the hipster style better than the bikini style, the bikini style was too high wasted/high cut for my preference.

I will continue to purchase these as long as they sell these!.

These are by far my favorite ones! I actually bought several pair and ended up going back to buy more because I was so impressed! They are so comfortable for any time of the day or night and can be worn with anything.

I love the price (especially compared to other places) and the material is a huge plus. I’m sure I have one of every color at this point.

It’s hard to find good, non-granny, cotton underwear for plus. I wanted to love these. Great coverage in front, little taller than others and wouldn’t roll down. But, my butt isn’t fully covered. Wedgie city.

I purchased several pair in case I loved them but those will be returned.

I love Torrid’s cheeky fit panties. They fit my curvy shape just right. I’ve never purchased ones with this kind of elastic waistband before, only with the lace waistband. I do like these; I think they might fit just a little bit looser in the waist than the lace ones, but it also might be because I’ve lost a few pounds:/ Otherwise, they fit like my other Torrid cheekies do.

Plus the bright pink, leopard print, and pineapple design is eye catching and fun to wear, even if no one else sees it:). Would definitely purchase more of these!.

I love Torrid’s underwear except for ONE thing! Ninety percent of them have lace around the leg openings. As a plus size person, do you know how much that stuff rubs in the worst areas?! I have a physical job and need to wear cotton when I can and these were the only ones at the time that did NOT have lace.

The crotch is also wide and not thin like a lot of others and they’re more adult than the Disney type the other cotton pairs are. I bought four pairs of these and am considering ordering more. Please make more like these! They’re extremely comfortable!.

Torrid needs to get their color grading under control (like always): the Summer Pagoda colorway looks pastel minty blue on my screen but irl is more of a midtone teal. The print is also brighter, which is cool, but there’s no blue anywhere on it.

Fit is about what I expected (aka size down at least 1 from usual Torrid pants size). The waistband is a thick tight elastic that has a lot less stretch than the fabric, which means the waistband super visible under clothing and these feel too small and too big at the same time.

Long ago target carried a line and they had my most favorite undies ever. I have not been able to find a suitable replacement… until now! Now muffin tops no pinching. Just cotton perfection! Thank you for making an pair of underwear for the rest of us!.
