20 Best Corner Clamps For 2X4 (2023 Updated)

Purchased this saw several weeks ago to tile a tub surround. It’s done a great job working with fragile ceramic subway tile. The frame is easy to remove from the tub for cleaning. Note that like a table saw, the fences must be squared to the blade prior to first use if you want accurate cuts.

A bit noisy (expected for this type of motor) and the blade lubrication system works well. The mess is well contained within the tub. Draining is easy by placing the tub over a 5 gallon bucket and pulling the drain plug.

I’ve done many jobs before with the fixed blade type of saw and thought I’d pick this one up because it could offer some advantages over the other style. after doing a shower and back splash with this I find there aren’t really any advantages.

This saw is more difficult to make simple square cuts, especially lengthwise on rectangular tiles due to the wedge shaped backstop. smaller and more detailed cuts, and angled cuts not 45 degrees are also more difficul and this saw is much larger.

This saw only does up to 18 inch tiles as well. The only advantage I find is that it doesn’t spray water as much as a fixed blade saw, although it still does spray water. The tile hold downs also jam and don’t slide with even small amounts of tile grit in the dovetails.

My advice is to stick with a fixed blade saw, it’s cheaper, more versatile , smaller and easier to make quality cuts on.

Clips work well on the older model Rockler straps. They may work with other brands just make sure the straps are less than 1 inch wide otherwise the clips won’t stay in place.

i have two of the band clamps, and I lost a couple of these that came with them. Good replacement. Not a mandatory item but nice to have.

Used this c clamp to press a frozen exhaust bolt out of the flange. Worked perfectly and didn’t even scratch the clamp. This thing is bullet proof!

This thing is mega heavy duty and should last forever,nice casting lines and the spindle lands in the center of the pad

I was under the impression that these clamps were made in the USA. They are not. Why bother paying a premium if the product is just going to be made in China anyway? Save your money and find a cheaper made in China clamp without the name brand markup.

Meanwhile my search for a domestic clamp continues.

Very solid C-clamp. It is perfect for compressing the piston on brake calipers when working on passenger cars and light duty trucks. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again and I do recommend this tool. The price was amazing for the quality.

Don’t waste your money on junk clamps made in China. I use 2 of these to clamp a receiver to the bucket of my John Deere 2520 compact utility tractor to move trailers around my property. I started with clamps from Harbor Harbor Freight which literally fell apart halfway across the yard.

I then had one Craftsman and one Wilton which a friend bent the screws on loading a very heavy homemade diesel powered log splitter onto a trailer. I bought 2 new clamps and moving the same splitter and other loaded trailers they have held up very well so far.

I am using these to strengthen the miter joints of storage bench I am building. I’ll be laminating two pieces of plywood and these corner braces will be hidden inside. I need PERFECT 90 degree braces, but the problem is most of these braces are NOT.

I borrowed a speed square from another aisle to inspected the braces. Out of 30 pieces, only 8 were straight and square.

Kitchen shelves are not “Dead Loads”. I read about Live Loads vs. Dead Loads and over short period of time it will fail if your dishes are heavier then corella dishwears.

These are noted as being 1/8″ thick. They are actually 1/16″ thick. They need to confirm all their hardware thicknesses, there are other mistakes.

These work fine for small stuff where you don’t need a lot of pressure but its pretty easy to break them with one hand tightening. I have used them a lot for clamping mitered posts together. Using 5 of them on a 3′ post works fairly good but sooner or later they will break and give out because I’m putting all the pressure I can on them.

The clamp requires minor assembly (super easy). The little plastic arm to turn the crank feels a little weak, but as long as you remember that you’ll be applying the clamping force with the long turning handle (not the crank), it won’t get overworked or break.

) Made a simple box with my 9 year old this last weekend, and this clamp worked brilliantly for holding the multiple joints together with some force while the glue dried. Great clamp – the more I use Bessey products, the more I like them!.

I purchased these clamps to use with the slide jig. I’ve found they are even more useful then I expected. The self adjusting part is really nice once you get the tensioner set correctly. They work very well for clamping wood to my drill press table because you only need one hand for the clamp while holding the wood with the other hand.

As far as Kreg clamps go and their price this was the best price I could find. I still think a little expensive for what it is but that is down to Kreg themselves. Works well with my Kreg mobile work table and fits snugly with my pocket jig.

Have the smaller 3″ version. OK for smaller bits of wood but 6″ pretty much essential if you want to work on larger framing lumber.

Custom building counters learned this would be a helpful device. I’m not using the high-end miter equipment. Using Krebs for drill holes. Screws. Dowels. Etc. I’ve got craft flag projects in mind as well.

The price, quality, and overall equipment are worth buying if you’re making counters, tabletops, or craft projects requiring stability during the build, if you need glue or caulk and time for stable drying in place.

Much better than the HF clamps that I ended up returning. They are pushing the limit at 36″ but for the price point, they are a good quality clamp. I wouldn’t say that they are heavy duty but I like them.

*** Update: Now that I have used them a couple times, I still like them and they are better than the HF clamps, however when applying force when they are extended, they do bow. These should be considered light duty, so don’t expect to straighten warped boards with them.

I know very little about such things, but these worked great for my purpose & seemed a lot nicer/heavier-duty than what you might expect for $13 each!! (I bought three. ) I needed to fix a long crack in a long cabinet door, and I used these to clamp the glue job in three spots as it dried.

I’ll use these for many other similar projects! (E. g. , there’s a crack in a leaf of our dining room table. ) I’m a stay-at-home mom with 3 little kids, and it just makes me happy to learn how to do things like this myself instead of throwing things out or needing to ask someone else to do it.

I’m teaching myself how to do wood work. I’m making my grandson a toy box. I figure all I needed was something to hold the wood on place until the glue holds. The clamp came in handy. I tried to hold the wood myself really tight and became tired.

This clamp is very easy to use and keeps items strongly in place. I tie the sole off my favorite sandals and tried to glue it back on. Well, needless to say the clamp made an impression that won’t come out so don’t try this.

GREAT CLAMP. I recently purchased a pair, they have worked great as expected. While using them for a medium sized cabinet, my best friend and I noticed that these were just a “bit much” for this project.

I was also using the Clamp It Assembly Square (#29190) with it. Keeping within the same EXCELLENT Quality a smaller Clamp and Square would be a GREAT idea. Also, having a smaller Clamp and square might also be just as easy to use.

I have had this product for a couple weeks now. I am building a couple bedside tables. These work great for holding the wood to screw them together and holding them square. Takes a little time getting the wood square, since you have to tighten one piece first, then the other, the loosen the first and move to proper spot.

Using these have sped up the build time.

This worked decently on very small lightweight projects. Trying to use it for 1/2 plywood to make a box did not go well. The way the screw is attached to the face is not a good idea. It uses a washer around a smaller part of the screw, and when tightened on the heavier wood the washer popped off.

It is now unusable. I understand its a light duty version, but I would call it extremely light duty not for woodworking at all.

Well made, though “Made in China to Wilton’s specifications” they say. Much better than the cheap ones. Using these to compress some springs on my screen printing rig and it worked out well.

This C clamp is awesome. I know you should not get gushy about c clamps but this thing saved me so much work. Used it (with a piece of 2×4) to pop the bead on a 230mm wide and a 130 mm motorcycle cruiser tires.

I had tried the same thing with 6″ clamps and just had lots of frustration before the bead would break. These are big enough to go around the tire, deep enough to reach the bead with a piece of 2×4 and strong enough to just crank them down on the tire.

I pop one side first (plywood piece on rim underneath, 2×4 piece on top near bead and crank) then flip it over and do the same on the other side. It helps to have 2 so you can use the 6″ clamp to hold it after you get some deflection if you need it.
