19 Best Cords For Diamonds 1.18 (2023 Updated)

I’ve always gamed Golf Pride, and have stuck typically with the Tour Velvet or MCC grips. I’ve been playing with +4 or midsize or midsize +4 and was looking for consistency throughout my bag, and initially wasn’t going to go with Z-grip as they didn’t have a standard +4, but I received these grips on my new Mizunos I received in September and wow, these are amazing.

Going to these from the previous 2 I commented on took some adjustment as these are firmer and definitely have a rougher surface area. but man these work great. I golf in Arizona, so since September I’ve played with them through heat, mild-low humidity, dry, and pretty wet conditions.

Morning, noon, night, these grips will be staying in the bag. I ordered more on Black Friday to go on wedges and an eventual iron replacement. I’ve played over 30 rounds with these already, and aside from my woods I will definitely continue to play these.

I’ve not had an issue with any golf pride grips I’ve gamed, but with the grip shortage COVID brought on it forced me into these ones, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

I bought a single zgrip because I’m deciding whether to regrip my current Tour Velvets with Tour Velvet Cord or Zgrip (two very popular grips on tour, I was looking for better performance with sweat/rain).

Because I hear zgrip is harder/rougher, I thought I wouldn’t like it; I like to feel the tackyness of my grip, one reason I clean them often. I figured I would prefer the tour velvet cord, but the zgrip was much more tacky than I expected, and I will end up regripping my set with zgrip for sure.

I bought a few guitar cords as my 5th wireless has died. I would love to have a wireless that I can rely on! So I spent $80 for a short cord and a long one. Very hight quality as I never skimp on these things but expensive which cannot be helped.

I’ll pay up for things that last which I had hoped my 5th wireless would. if anyone wants a bunch of non working wireless’ let me know.

I purchased the 240cm sling mainly to use as a cordelette as it seemed super strong, light and the knots undid easily. but then I did further research. Please DO YOUR OWN checking (DMM and BD have lab test results on their websites), but a couple of things to note.

Dynex slings (and Dyneema, Spectra etc) are great in ways – strength to weight, abrasion resistant, hydrophobic (good for ice) etc – all good, BUT, it has very low melting point (145oC) and any knots reduce strength usually by over 50%.

Because Dynex is very slippery, this makes undoing knots easy, but also means knots can slip through (hence this is not sold as tape by the metre, only as sewn slings), and the friction of slipping knots (knots tied in a sewn sling) in dynamic drop tests may cause melting failure due to low melt temps (see DMM test using clove hitches).

Dynex also has very little stretch (even compared to Nylon slings), so shock load transfer to your protection is greater. I think these are still excellent slings (including the BD ‘dogbone’ draws which I also have and like), but you need to understand their limitations.

Nylon slings are more forgiving (hold knots far better, have less strength reduction when knotted, have 2x the stretch (still not much!), higher melting temp of 245oC, and possibly deteriorate less over time (evidence less clear on that) – but heavier, bulkier harder to get knots out etc).

The take home message seems to be with Dynex slings, don’t tie knots in them if you can avoid it (hence a poor choice for a cordalette!), avoid shock loading by having a dynamic part in the system such as a rope (standard advice for all slings), and watch for situations where friction (rope over sling or knots rapidly tightening) may cause melting.

I am no expert, do your own research, I just wanted people to be aware they are fundamentally different from nylon slings and cordage and knowing their weaknesses may make you safer out there.

I replaced all my alpine runners (18) with the 30/60/120 mm length 10mm Dynex loops and it feels like I dropped 5 pounds from my rack. Upgrading my biners to Miniwires also helped lots. SOOO happy with my BD purchases I did back to back Sundays at Seneca Rocks trading up classic 8 and 9s (old school 8 & 9s eh).

The product is good, I’ve used these runners for probably 6 years. Light, not bulky, overall just what you want. But since I last bought these, BD fired most of its manufacturers in Utah and moved production overseas.

It sucks, but I’m going to have to go to another brand because BD isn’t ethically a company I’d love to support anymore.

I was happy to get these patches cables, and I actually went on to purchase a large pack of Ernie Ball patch cables. The one downside I found, while it only applies to those who don’t have a pedalboard to put their pedals on, is that if you use a 3 inch ernie ball cable between a heavier pedal (ex.

Boss) and a lighter pedal (ex. Mxr analog chorus or phase 90) then the lighter pedal may be pushed a bit by the heavier one. Honestly, this isn’t that big of an issue and I think that these Ernie Ball flat patch cables are great!.

Cable worked and I received a high speed data transfer in order to watch the video from NASA.

You use slings as personal tethers, and anchors for the most part. The 60cm (single length) is great for alpine draws, and a short tether. Not a redundant system but that’s ok. Theses things are rated and they catch good.

If you’re getting into climbing outdoors this piece of equipment is a must have. Perhaps get a double length of a single length, due to the fact it has more purpose on your rack.

This sling is my best friend. Hanging up high is a terrifying situation that I keep putting myself in — this thing is my baby. Locking into an anchor up top with this strap, belaying from a cliff while locked into this sling.

It’s worked wonderfully. I would recommend buying this Nylon if you’re just getting into rock climbing. I’d also recommend getting a shorter one for other gear too.

Nice material; I like that BD color codes all their different length slings both nylon and dyneema. Makes it easy to know the length at a quick glance. They do this for their cams as well. Makes taking item easy.

Again it’s a sling; use it appropriately and it works extremely well.

I’m using my Fender Coiled Instrument Cable every time I plug into my amp. What I like most about it is the extended straight bit with a right-angle plug to go into the output jack on my Gibson ES-335.

Almost every other brand of cable doesn’t have the long straight ends. I think we all like to feed our cable through the guitar strap before plugging into the output jack. This prevents us from accidentally pulling the cable out of its socket.

If you’re gonna use a coiled lead, which itself is a great idea to prevent us from stepping on our cable many times every gig, you need the extra length straight section of the cable at each end. Fender have addressed this necessity perfectly.

As an added benefit, the fiesta red color looks terrific, especially when playing a red guitar.

Ordered one of these cables and used it for about a week or two and the cable became faulty. The cable would barely bend and it would make a crackling noise then a super loud pop noise. Got sent a new one.

Ordered another one in a different color and the same thing happen after a week. They sent me another new one. I guess I must be unlucky with fender cables since this product seems to be getting 5 stars.

Fender guitar cables are exactly that. They are a rock solid product. If you happen to practice with a pocketable or clip on apparatus like a line6 pocket pod this 3ft 90 to 90 cable is exactly perfect.

Yes the cord is thicker and has lots of fancy jargon with the description, but i don’t play super loud and i don’t stress the cord in any way. It died after 6 months of normal use. I have used a lot cheaper cords that have lasted way longer.

The product itself comes with kind of stiff cables compared to my Klotz PP-AJJ pedal patcher cables. I don’t use a pedalboard which makes it a little bit harder to handle those stiff cables. But they are useable.

At first I ordered them in black. Andertons informed me, that delivery would be delayed. So I asked A. to change the order to same priced and available “Angle to Angle patch cable 3 pack in white” ( I even put a link in my email to the product 😉 ).

They agreed, but they sent me Angle/Flat in white 😉 instead. It´s o. k. for me and I can better live with those than sending such a favorable product across Europe ;-). But I can understand now why “the special one” journeyman fender purple guitar got a purple headstock ;-).

I’ve only had these a short while so I can’t speak to their longevity (although Ernie Ball does have a reputation for excellence) but they are some of the few patch cables I’ve found with an angled, coupled with a straight connection, and they appear to be very well constructed.

They are also very flexible, so for connecting effects with odd input placement to other more standard effects they are also perfect.

I love my solitaire! I got the slightly larger diamond which I think is worth it. I compared to the same product at a few different online retailers and I feel this was the best quality/price balance.

I wear everyday and it’s it’s beautifully. If you are comparing, I think the Bezel is the best setting because it sits nicely and doesn’t move around a lot.

As is the case with any major purchase, no matter how much research you do, you can sometimes feel a sense of buyer’s remorse if the product does not live up to your expectations. This applies two fold in a case where not only do you have to be happy with the results, but more importantly you want your partner to be blown away by them.

I was looking for a simple solitaire band to hold a round cut diamond. The problem with going too plain Jane is there would be nothing unique to make this ring her own. When I saw this band I thought, this band is simple, elegant, and in some way looks very traditional with a vintage style to it without doing too much to draw attention to itself (sometimes less is more).

I decided to pull the trigger on this band paired with a 1. 5ct round diamond. that’s when my heart rate spiked. All I could do is sit and wait to see the final product. After a few weeks the package was delivered and as anticipated the ring was beautiful.

I purchased this embroidery floss to make a Paj Ntaub. The quality of the thread is nice, very thick. Unfortunately, it is too thick for paj ntaub. When I try to separate the strands, it breaks very easily.

If you are looking to do traditional embroidery or cross stitch, this is probably fine. For finer projects with a smaller diameter, go with a different product.

Used this to repair some educational products that had broken and needed red string for wrapping. It was easy to use and came out nicely. It will last a long time as it appears to be high quality. Got the big pack so that I can use others as needed.

It’s worth noting that this has repeat colors, which for most projects is actually a very good thing. Bought to use with a kumihimo braiding toy, and it works well. I expect this would be better for friendship bracelets than regular embroidery floss as this is two plus twisted together (rather than 6 finer plies with no twist).

I haven’t tested it for knotting though, so this assumption is just based on my knowledge of fiber arts (I spin yarn, among other things). But I digress: previous experience tells me the most frustrating part of using embroidery floss for knotted friendship bracelets is the fact the plies want to separate and tangle, this should remedy that problem.

Ring and diamond and packaging looks good. The photos and website and customising and ordering process was good. The production and postage to Australia was fast. The info James Allen sent to fedex was incorrect.

They sent the US dollar value when I paid AU dollars on their website. That’s fine. But then fedex tried to charge me import taxes on the conversion rate on the US dollar amount that James Allen sent them.

Which at the time the rate was higher so they tried to overcharge me on the tax. The conversion has nothing to do with me. I paid in aus dollars. Any back end conversion by James Allen and fedex is not my issue.

James Allen should send the correct price I paid (Au dollars) to fedex. Also for any Australian customers. Keep in mind that every time the ring enters the country you have to pay $88 customs fee. Regardless of whether it’s a purchase (with tax) or a resize (without tax).

The sizing calculator that says to put a piece of string around the finger does not work or is inaccurate. I did this version multiple times with my partners finger and the size of ring that came was 2 sizes too big.

I measured the ring again. And it said it was two sizes bigger than I ordered. I then checked the ring with the ruler on the screen method. And it was the exact size I ordered. How is one method 2 whole sized in accurate? It wasn’t user error.

The video you show has a red piece of string. When they mark the string it’s pulled away from the finger. Ie. there’s a gap/the strong is pretty loose. The way I measured was a lot tighter than this.

Yet still it’s way too big? Doesn’t make sense. So because of that, I had to send it back and pay extra customs duty ($88). It’s frustrating because I tried so hard to get an accurate measurement when I ordered and it was still wrong.

Some of the staff were helpful others were not. Some said something like ‘too bad’. But eventually someone agreed to waive my $50 international return process. Overall it was good in product and ordering process.

It’s been about a year since I purchased this for my now fiancee (proposed Dec 2020, getting married June 2022) and have been so happy with this ring. She absolutely loved it from the get go and lab grown was an excellent way to get a gorgeous ring inexpensively.

She did need to have it resized and the ring tightened at Jared’s since it was a little large on her finger and the diamond was rattling around a bit when you shook the ring, but it was incredibly easy to do so– was basically like we bought the ring at that particular store instead of online with how they treated us.

Jared’s did a great job with it but I was a bit disappointed that the free engraving I got on it was removed during the resizing process, but since we also plan to get engraved wedding bands in the future, it wasn’t a huge deal.

The cable band offers the ring a sense of daintiness to it. Since the stone is rather large, I was worried it would knock around on my finger with such a thin band. Although the band does have such a sturdiness to it that it holds it tight to my finger.
