The Neewer 660 RGB LED 2-Light Kit with Stands, is a value pack unit, and I give it a GRADE B using the U. S. school grading A-F system. It does what the product describes. The lights are the 660 PRO model which is not specified in the seller’s description.
The panel has modes of: CCT, HSI, and Scene (blinking effects). Using knobs, you can change: modes, intensity, saturation, and hue (degrees Kelvin and by color circle 360 degrees). The free optional app has the same features, controlling the unit by Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
I downloaded and used the app without problems. Yes you can group the lights or use the app for individual control. It also has channels. The instruction manual is well written, but font is tiny. Pretty impressive for the price and features.
The unit is mostly made of non-magnetic metal including the barn doors, which are removable. The double yoke is strong. The switches have a nice on/off click & feel to them. The knobs have a step-click when rotated, there is no start/stop position.
The diffusion scrim is removable. The carry cases are well made and are a welcomed addition. The power A/C cord measures 59-3/8ths inches, a fraction under 5 feet or 151 cm. The cord from the power brick to the light measures 71-3/8ths inches, a fraction under 6 feet, or 181 cm.
The power brick is 4. 5 inches long. With the light on a stand, the usable cord length is about 6 feet, so I added an extension cord for practicality. The stands are light weight and cheap, made with magnetic metal tubes and plastic fittings.
The stand is adequate to hold the light and power brick at a maximum height of 70 inches. With no holder the power brick will swing on the stand, so use tape, rubber band, velcro, or buy a brick stand holder.
I found some colors are not the correct color wheel angle. Orange is 30, Neewer was 7, Yellow is 60 Neewer was 37. To make Pink, I used Red and decreased saturation. So users will have to play with the unit to find your colors.
If the panels were brighter they would be better, but price would be higher too. With a camera expect to use high ISO, slow shutter speeds, and very low powered flash if used in conjunction with this LED light which is what I did when taking dramatic colored tinted portraits.
Loving this inexpensive light kit! The app is terrific. Sometimes there are issues with the Bluetooth connection that are easily fixed by opening and closing the app again – I file this under complaints I have with Bluetooth in general.
If you want to avoid the app you can use the manual controls but the app is so convenient I haven’t even touched a physical knob yet. Lights weigh very little and have been great for outdoor shoots and road trips.
We’ve been squeezing a couple hours of use out of one fully-charged battery. Reading some reviews that claim you need an adapter to get the diffusers on – not true. I mount the lights at 45 degrees instead of 90, and the diffusers go on just fine.
I recommend making sure you travel with a little container for those little thumbscrews on the barn-doors. Tempted to buy another pair of these!.
I like the LED RGB lights. The app for my iPhone is convenient and works well. The three lights give plenty of light for my set where I have to candidates and one moderator. The stands are not that sturdy.

I have owned these style lights for 1-2 years now, so get ready for an in-depth review. For the price of these lights, they provide everything that the low-level prosumer photo/video person needs. They have effects, they are dimmable, you can use one to control the others, the app is alright, but if you are looking for a cheap option for a mid-high tier production, these probably aren’t it.

Don’t get me wrong, they have traveled with me to many a shoot, but they wear rather quickly, and the soft case is no exception. -The app is clunky and sometimes you have to power off/on in master/slave mode for them to auto-connect.
-Barn doors work, but they leave a bit to be desired, as it creates a grid of light, which is not usable in some cases. Overall, for the price, these are great. If these are all you can afford, they will probably do everything you need them to and more.

Was looking for a cheap RGB lighting solution. Didn’t expect to get an App at this price. Having used some more pro LED light apps, this one isn’t far off. (Controlling film lights on a phone is still kinda whack).
Biggest complaint there is that you can’t group the D800s together and create scenes with multiple lights. Bonus would be if you could do light sequencing and do light patterns of some kind (I. e. , scrolling through colors X,Y,Z at a variable speed).
In general the biggest complaint is that the lights aren’t step-less so there is no real clean fade in and out. So not good for any light cue-ing. The tech is there, I think. It’s a problem with the software.
If you use some of their preset looks you can see that the fading or color changing steps constantly. Not great. Assuming you’re working with one look at a time and you’re not hoping to go from one look to another while recording then you’re golden.
Mine came with a soft box, it, is also fine, though it didn’t come with instructions. I found that you just remove the barn doors and then you attach via Velcro straps. There are additional mounting brackets you can use but couldn’t figure it out and it seemed to work fine without it.
Biggest complaint there is that with the soft box on, it’s harder to angle the light down. I found if you go upside down you have a little more movement ability. The included diffusion panel works great too, would be better if they included additional grades of diffusion.
Or if you could buy them. The mount is there for other options. Ditto with the barn doors. Got the GVM batteries and the lifespan seems better than I’ve seen advertised (approx 45 minutes and I’ve used them for a couple hours and still have 75% remaining.

You have to remove them from the light first. The light stands are fine too, a little better than some other bottom shelf stands I’ve had in the past. Time will tell. The bag, as well, is better than some other bottom shelf bags.
And it fits everything the kit comes with compactly (with a little room to spare). Fits under the bed. Would benefit from more internal organization. Straps snf pockets would be nice. Unfortunately, you can’t pan the lights in their U-bracket / yoke.
You have to loosen the attachment to the light-stand to pan. So you can. Just not the way you’d think. As a semi-professional jack-of-all-trades, I like these lights and would recommend them. Definitely happy after tinkering for a couple of hours, especially considering their price.

This is a great light for the price. It truly is very bright, even when using the colored lights. I’ve lit up an entire room with just this one light with no issues. Very good quality LEDs, very versatile.
The included barn doors are of decent quality and don’t flap around or get loose. The biggest and most glaring issue with this light is the almost unacceptable low quality of the rear ball mount. It doesn’t get tight or sturdy at all.
It keeps the panel facing whatever direction you put it in, but literally blowing on the panel moves it. It’s not sturdy at all. In fact, I bought two of these, and BOTH of them broke at this mount point.
While I can concede that I may have gotten a couple of bad units, the actual ball mount part itself is really terribly designed. It doesn’t really allow for a rock solid, secure mounting. The part that connects the light to a c-stand or light stand is good; that is to say that once you attach it to something it’ll stay just fine.
That part is quite good, actually. It’s just the blue mounting part that is attached to the rear of the unit SUCKS. BAD. Oh, and the v-mount plate doesn’t seem to work too well with my Powerextra battery.
The locking mechanism doesn’t want to seem to engage unless I use extreme force to put the battery in place. I wonder how long that part of this panel will last with this much force being applied to it every time I need to power this thing without using the included (too short!) power cable.
Besides the horrible ball mount and faulty v-mount plate issues, this is a great option for budget filmmaking.
The only bad thing that it has it is that there’s like a noticeable difference between 99% of light and 100%, and little difference between 10% all the way down to 1%. [Visually and on camera] Overall I really like them, I’m yet to buy the batteries for them, but that’s on plan.

The 135 watt bulbs are exactly what I needed for my photography. I like that the white soft light cover velcro on and off quickly. The carry case is an added bonus if you move your set up. One thing I decided to do was keep the boxes and styrofoam for the bulbs in case I need to pack them up to move to another location.

I don’t use them heavily, but when I grabbed the stand to move it that’s when it quit. The bulb still works because I’ve switched it around with other fixtures and it works in the those fixtures. So I just got my second set in the mail and am using them.
I guess I have an extra bulb, stand, and hood, so all’s well.

This is a fantastic, bright light but all the parts are made up of plastic so be careful (as is mentioned in the instructions that you should be reading but no one reads these days) when attaching accessories to this light.
Almost everything is made up of plastic except the metal ball inside the ballhead. This light is meant to be used at a close distance (say 2ft – 6ft for best results). I love the fact that you can control the brightness and color of this light and the fact that this is a complete kit including the carrying and batteries for outdoor use when you do not have access to power outlets.
On top of it all, the kit comes with 2 battery chargers so that you can charge the dual batteries at the same time. A thing to note, if you look at the product pictures, the included stand folds upside rather than every other stand I have which folds down.
It is a neat design to reduce the size of the folded stand. You can notice that the legs of the stand have support arms attaching to the tube above it rather than going under it. This makes it a little difficult to open and close this stand but I would not change the design as I like the compactness of the stand when it is all folded to go into its bag for travel or storage.
Here are few things I wish to see improved: – The phone clamp is spring loaded and is not wide enough to hold wider phones. I tried to use this clamp on iPhone 8 Plus which had a silicon case around it.
It is very difficult to put this clamp around this phone. It feels like the clamp is going to break as it is reaching its max limit. It also puts too much pressure on the phone and I get nervous that it is definitely going to break my phone case and may even damage the phone.

* This smartphone mount is expensive but it allows you to adjust the grip tightness plus it gives you options to rotate from Horizontal to Vertical and in between positions. Keep in mind that it is best to use this mount with a ballhead which is provided with this light for complete freedom to adjust the angles and I love this flexibility or I should be saying my teenage daughter for which I bought this light and the smartphone adapter loves the flexibility for her TikTok videos.

I’m an amateur photographer when it comes to using studios and studio equipment, so don’t take my review too heavily. The equipment was a lot better than I expected and I honestly love it. It’s pretty easy to construct & deconstruct, not to mention it seems very professional.
The materials are not too flimsy and they work very well. I’m really glad that I bought it, especially for such a good deal.
Setup and use is fine. Overall durability will be limited due to lghtweight components and flimsy feel. As long as it is not dragged all over and used indoors, should be fine. Color of light and reflextion from umbrella is acceptable for a beginning/intermediate DSLR photographer like me.
I am not a professional photographer, but wanted to use indirect lighting for our church photo directory pictures. This set up is just right for that, and the price is remarkable. The stands are sturdier than I expected, and the bulbs larger and more power than expected.
Umbrellas are somewhat smaller than I expected, but as advertised. I have used it twice, and packing it up takes only 2-3 minutes. Carrying cases are convenient. Overall an excellent value.

I was now sure what I was getting when I saw others which seemed to be the same thing for twice the price. I was really surprised, the stands are sturdy, the bulbs are top quality and the sockets are hefty and will seem to last a long time.

The stands were small enough to be out of the way and the umbrella provided nice soft lighting at a 15 foot distance.

This is perfect for home photography to help light your project. A decent DSLR and this light set will get you very nice result. While these come with everything you need, be aware that they DO NOT articulate up and down.
Only side to side. I don’t need them to articulate up and down, so I have no complaints. I don’t need to hire anyone to do the photography for my website. These light can make a difference between pretty good photos and professional looking photos.
Seems to be a pretty decent set of lights that I’m using to brighten my photos. Very affordable for two standing lights. Light bulbs are huge and offer a nice white light. Light stand/legs are pretty adjustable in height and angle.
I haven’t tried putting it all in the carrying case that was provided. Seems like that’ll be a squeeze and a pain, but I don’t plan on have to transport these anywhere.

Save yourself the headache and get a Forza 200! Even a GVM is a more reliable brand. I bought a VL150 in January and was really excited about it. I wish I had the same experience as these other bots but I didn’t.
Out of the box, the light would flicker and turn off, for me to turn on again. This dance would happen a few times in a full day’s shoot. The controller was the culprit. My 3rd time using it, it would just not turn on at all.
I reached out to their customer service since it was still under manufacturer’s warranty and they basically told me to just go ahead and buy a replacement controller. They had no intentions of honoring their manufacturer’s warranty.

Case – very high quality and a joy to use. Build quality of light – very good. Solid and yet lightweight. Build quality of clamp – exceptional – holds my massive 120cm parabolic softbox at 90 degrees without struggle.
Noise – near silent even at full power. Battery holder – I would prefer a back to back design, but ok. Control – dim wheel feels a bit cheap, but gets the job done. Wireless control – haven’t tried it yet.

I liked the look of this when it arrived recently and immediately ordered the focus attachment as well. I had it sitting on a light stand for a while without putting it to use. Later when I wanted to tilt it slightly, it would not stay in position, however much it was tightened with the supplied wrench.
Sometimes when almost fully tightened the nut briefly engages but very soon it just flops on the mounting bracket. This was also the case when I tried it with another nut of the same size. It seems the fault is in the thread of the mounting bolt.
I love this light. I just happened to be searching for such a light when I found out it just came out. Currently the time of writing this review it’s now unavailable (12/18/19) Not sure why. Did I get the first and only batch? Strange.
All the accessories is really where it’s at which I bought all of them, the gels, flags, the 85mm lens adapter. The flexibility you have with this light is just simply amazing. It’s extremely small and also very bright for it’s size.
One draw back is the fact it drops from 30W to 10W when using battery power so it a lot less bright when on battery and this is for sure noticeable. With a light like this you for sure want the freedom of portability to that’s a little bit of a hit but all the shoots I’ve used it on so far I’ve had power outlet close by so hasn’t been a problem.
Other concerns others had voiced on review sites is that it’s fan is too loud. I have not encountered that at all during my recordings.

It’s great. Everything looks good, except for one disappointing thing. The magnet is not as strong as it’s supposed to be. I have a metal bar along the wall near the ceiling that I use for magnets. I’d definitely NOT put the TL30 tube there, unfortunately.
With a light tiny push, it would tip off. It defeats the purpose of the magnet. 🙁 One function less. Otherwise, it’s good for other purposes.
It looks like an affordable and flexible complement tube light to the bigger brothers (the TL60 which I also have). Pretty light weight. Not as strong in power as the TL60, so only useful as hair light, or maybe product light to create an accent.
The app works fine with it, except for the Gel options which doesn?t work, and the music effect (probably doesn?t have a mic in it). Overall is a inexpensive and flexible tube light to have around.

I bought four of these to light a 10′ x 10′ set in my studio. While primarily for video, this set is also for product photography. While I had four of these on initially, I actually ended up turning two off entirely and then turning the remaining two down.
These produce a good quantity of light, plus they are compatible with the soft boxes I use on my mono-lights, so this save having to buy separate adapters/soft boxes. I didn’t ever hear the running fans that others have described.
These have lots of adjustment from 10% to 100% and almost an annoying amount of adjustment because to get from 10 to 100, you must turn the adjustment dial like a gazillion times! Other than this annoyance, they worked perfectly and use the same accessories as your regular studio monolights, (stands, bowen/impact style soft box adapters, power cords, etc.
) These are priced to allow even the beginner to buy multiple lights because as many of us know, you never have too much light. Build of product is very good and they come packed very well too.
I used this unit back-to-back with an Elinchrom RX 4. This unit is one quarter the price. In-camera, I can’t tell the difference. The strobe quality and consistency is perfect. The proportional modeling lamp functions well on both.
Remote power adjustment on both cameras is fairly seamless. But, there ARE some disadvantages compared to a more expensive strobe: The elinchrom is noticeably lighter. The elinchrom is silent, the SK400ii has a slight electrical whine.
The elinchrom wireless interface is simpler, which is both a downside for maximum flexibility, but also is faster and more intuitive to use. The elinchrom mount is much easier to adjust and tighten. The godox mount lock handle ‘sticks’ when you try and loosen it.
If I was hauling, moving, setting up, tearing down, and adjusting studio strobes in a professional environment, I would spring for the elinchrom. But, as a more fixed, occasional use device, the Godox is sturdy and performs great.
This is my first studio strobe, though I’ve used high-power speed lights for years. What a difference! Very easy to use and set up. Intuitive interface. More light than I need for indoor work, honestly.
I’m actually using this with an old Graflex Crown Graphic large format camera from the 40’s, so I am using a sync cable rather than triggering it wirelessly. I assumed it had a PC-sync port on the back, but it is a 3.
5mm port, so I ended up having to buy an adapter to fit my old school cables. I didn’t see that clearly listed anywhere at the time so thought I’d note it. Feels well-built but not overly heavy at all.
The handle for changing the tilt does stick out annoyingly far — it’s nice and ergonomic until you need to pack it away. A minor inconvenience, though. I’ll probably buy another soon.
The Godox SL150W II LED Video Light is a daylight-balanced 150W LED monolite-style light source suitable for broadcasting, cinematography, online streaming, and other video applications. Dimming settings range from 0% to full power and can be adjusted by its wireless remote.
I bought 3 of these lights and I’ve been very impressed with how they have performed over the last couple of weeks. I mount a 24″x32″ soft box on each of them, and Bowens mount as well as the tightening wheel hold them solidly in place.
I bought these specifically because I occasionally work with sound engineers on shoots and knew that fan noise would not be tolerated on set. One reviewer has complained about a problem when trying to use one remote to control multiple lights.
However, if you use the remote correctly, you shouldn’t have any problems changing the output on individual lights from just one remote. You do this by assigning each light to a group (I use A, B, & C); all lights and the remote are set to the same channel.
By doing this you can change the output on each individual light by using just one remote. The lights will remember the last setting they were on when you switch to a different group on the remote – even if you turn them off.
This has worked flawlessly for me and is the way that groups/channels are intended to be used. I agree with most reviewers in that 1. When using the reflectors you will notice a hot spot. Not a huge problem unless you are working with the lights up close in which case you probably should not be using a reflector anyway.
2. They are solidly built but not what I would call “heavy duty” so you will need to treat them with care, and get a hard case if you are traveling with them. 3. The light is daylight balanced so you’ll have to use gels to change the color if needed.
A 1/4 or 1/8 CTO is perfect for matching tungsten. 3. Yes the fan DOES make a very, very faint hum that is audible if you put your ear (or a microphone) within 17 inches of the head. So don’t do that.
Finally, as many have noted here and on various YouTube reviews, the light does not come with a case. I go back and forth on this because on one hand you would think that an instrument like this should come with some kind of case.
On the other hand, all of the other cases from lights I’ve purchased over the years are sitting unused in my attic, because it’s far more efficient to put my lights into one or two multiple-light cases when I’m going to a job.
Received this little guy, right from the box when I checked it from all sides and rotated around, I immediately noticed that something wobbling inside, looking closer I realized that it is a actually all assembly with cooling pipes including both fans, and cob unit itself have opportunity to move inside along around 1 cm back and forth.
Because I received unit abroad – it is pointless to return it. So I disassembled it – it appeared that construction idea is a bit odd inside: them have a massive steel plate screwed inside to the front of the unit with all pipes are passing through this plate, but pipes with cob on it can move through this plate back and forth easily – to hold all assembly still them welded (or glued – not sure) very thin metal foil that is actually is a part of radiator – so very first radiator plate is glued to massive plate while the rest are being hold each other with just tiny foil latches one by one.
It quite easy for these latches to be bent or brake – in this case nothing else would hold ALL assembly from moving inside. Completely shocked about such engineering ideas. So I had to reinstall all bent latches , now everything holds well.
I hope it will last for a moment. I don’t know how that happened – because of poor manufacturing or transportation in cargo, I would recommend stay away from this model. Plus I had to screw power supply unit inside – it was barely screwed too and moved inside as well.
I hope their electronics is better than construction ideas.
I own 3x SL60 lights and a ton of Godox strobes/flashes. My Godox relationship started about 5 years ago. (I am a paying customer – not sponsored). Originally they were just cheap lights that were good enough for dabbling.
Yes – the white balance was inconsistent from shot to shot and yes there were some firmware bugs. But they were a bargain. Fast forward and now studio work is becoming a regular thing for me. I debated about spending the bucks for some Profoto strobes – but instead I did some FW updates and bought some more recent flashes in 2020.
Hey – these are getting good and they are much more consistent. But I wanted constant light on occasion and my SL60s just missed the mark most of the time. And then I bought this SL150II. Welcome to the big leagues Godox.
The color stays consistent and this light is really bright. I mean REALLY BRIGHT. The remote that comes with this unit works flawlessly (hey B&H – the remote is in the box so you can add it to the list and remove the remote from the accessories).
I can be completely focused on my shot and not have to get up to muck and futz with settings. The fan can be shut off which I guess is good. I will only use this occasionally for video – so I just let it run.
Regardless – it cools nicely. My first real shoot was yesterday and it ran and cooled well for hours. In fairness – this is aimed at being more of an Aputure killer – but it is SOOOOO good for photos.
Godox in general has become good enough for 95% of photographers. This light is good enough for the 100%. Raging bargain. If you don’t need battery power then this should be on your list.

I own nearly the entire line of godox battery powered strobes from the ad1200 all the way down to the ad100 and multiple units of each. I use their system exclusively. I own about 15 units total. They all are an excellent product except for the ad100.
Unfortunately the AD100 is an excellent light but is completely pointless to own for a professional. This is because of the infamous green tint it creates (I will say however if you shoot environmental portraits in indoor fluorescents or cheaper led lighting it actually works out because you don’t have to gel the green to match the color tint of the LED’s/fluorescents).
The reason it is a COMPLETELY pointless light is because it is a little more powerful than the more versatile Godox V1 on-camera flash, and any gain you get in power with the ad100 is taken away with light loss of gel’ing your ad100 to be more neutral.
So you will end up with nearly the same output in the end. There is a fix for this and i am in progress of fixing the 2 units I own. The offending part in the unit is the fresnel lens inside the flash unit.
Godox has tinted this part green in manufacturing to counteract the magenta shift that the bare bulb gives off. Unfortunately they WAY over compensated throwing this light extremely green. So to fix this tint you will have to do the following: 0.
If you can find it order a spare fresnel lens part for the Godox V1 flash (ill explain below). 1. Remove the 4 screws on the front of the unit holding on the plastic frosted lens. 2. Pull out that lens.
3. Under that lens is another fresnel lens (the offending green tinted part). Remove it. 4. Install the Godox V1 fresnel lens in its place. They are the same size yet the V1 version does not have the green tint.
5. put it back together. This should get you within +1 green of being neutral if not perfectly neutral (tint wise). I ordered my parts from china and the fresnel cost me 30 bucks each. If i could go back in time I would just order more Godox V1 units instead (although they also have a little of a tint shift problem too just much much less severe).
The V1’s, like I said, are nearly as bright and have many more features including a built in wireless trigger. Anyway i hope that helps someone out there.
Off-camera flash has evolved a lot since I bought my first hotshoe flash a dozen years ago. This little device is pretty brilliant, really. In exchange for doing away with the hotshoe mount entirely you get a sturdy builtin (but removable) umbrella stand adapter.
Its form-factor is extremely well thought out and it’s super flexible and adaptable as well as looking and feeling solid. It amounts to being a very capable mini strobe. Good stuff: – 1/10th stop power adjustment is a godsend – well integrated with the Godox XPro remote trigger – modifier attachments (gels, grids, domes, etc.
) are trivially added or removed magnetically, and can be stacked – fits nicely into the S2 Bowens mount bracket adapter – very fast recycling; beep is really nice Not so good: – I experienced some mis-fires (2.
5%) — this could be issues with the XPro-P and my Pentax body though – tiny, hard to read text on buttons and body — I can’t use this thing by feel; I have to wear my reading glasses to use it – as shipped, the two knobs on the umbrella adapter can and do interfere with each other turning at any angle of the knuckle — readily fixed by shifting the baby pin knob to the opposite side of socket.
– it took me a while to find the manual which is tucked into the almost completely opaque pocket in the lid of its travelling case. I used it in a StrobePro 25 inch beauty dish + grid, Bowens speedring, installed in the S2 Godox adapter.
Despite shooting 80 frames at 1/4 power fairly quickly the fan never came on and it stayed pretty cool. See attached photo. f/4, 1/125th sec, ISO 100. When it comes time to upgrade my other older flashes I will definitely be getting more of these little units.
This is my second Godox AD100Pro and it’s a great little flash. I love the power which is more than a speed light. I use my two AD100Pros by themselves or with my two Godox AD200Pros for an awesome four light setup.
It has a modeling light, but it isn’t really bright enough unless you’re in a totally dark room. Battery life is very good and keeps up with the AD200s. I love that this is about the size of a soda can, it fits in a lens pocket in my bag so I always have a light with me.
The Godox remotes work very well providing complete manual control, or full TTL. A nice crossover between a speed light and a larger monolight.

I’m using it to raise overall room light levels, bouncing off walls or ceiling. + Tons of output for not needing a fan – The included reflector creates a lot of of hot spot on the wall it’s bouncing from.
I tried a fresnel and the net room brightness after the bounce was reduced too much. Barndoors that could mount directly to the light without a reflector would be nice but I think don’t exist. This all combines to limit the angles I can bounce at more than I would like.
+ Good ergonomics/design and build quality. I like the two different ways of mounting off a baby stud. The catch for the bowens mount is surprisingly nice to use. The separate light / control / AC adapter is a plus for me and ends up nice and tidy.
The fixture itself is about the size and weight I expected, and everything feels solid. – The one time it’s shut down with a heat complaint was when I pointed it precisely vertical to bounce off the ceiling.
Looking at the way the heat sink is built within the light this makes sense, and pointing it just a bit off vertical seems to work fine. + Did I mention lots of light and no fan? 🙂 I just ordered a second one.
There are many reasons to use continuous lights for photography, as opposed to flashlights. Continuous lights provide a constant light source, which can be helpful when trying to capture fast-moving subjects.
They also allow you to see how the light is falling on your subject, so you can adjust it as needed. Additionally, continuous lights tend to be less expensive than flashlights, and they don’t require batteries.
