Gives a showroom-quality to garage floor. Protects against gasoline, antifreeze, motor oil, salt and hot tire pick-up. Low odor and easy to clean. One coat application, no primer needed. Kit includes 2-part epoxy floor system, concentrated cleaner, decorative chips, detailed instructions and free instructional video.
Drying time for light foot traffic 12-16 hours; heavy and normal traffic 24-48 hours. Covers approximately 250 sq. ft.
While the packaging is beautiful and the instruction is simple, I was scratching my head when using this kit. I followed the instruction to the dot, but the epoxy just didn’t want to mix properly. The paint come in compartmentalized bags, and you’re supposed to mix the two IN THE BAG for 3 minutes.
I mixed it and massaged it for 10 minutes, and I could feel that there were chunky bits and pieces that were not getting incorporated. I should’ve thrown it away, but I went against my guts and painted it onto my etched concrete — and after a day I can tell that it’s not working as it should: the color is uneven, the texture is sticky, and the chunky bits are showing up & are breaking off when you touch it.
If you’re looking to epoxy your garage, I recommend getting 2-part epoxy that are BOTH liquid. Amazon carries one called “Supercoat”.
Very easy to use. Comes with concrete etching covers easy. My garage floor has never looked better. One thing I noticed is if you spread it a bit too thin the gloss is not as good. Still would recommend this to anyone that wants a great looking floor.
It would seem harsh to rate it at 3 stars due to the fact it looks so good, dry’s quickly, and spreads so evenly. But the fact is, it’s durability could be better. Seems like I’m always patching spots were a tool or part hit the floor.
That’s after the clear coat was installed over the base.
The Garage Floor Coating, like all RockSolid Polycuramine coatings, offers unsurpassed durability. Polycuramine is 20 times stronger than epoxy. With its resistance to salt, oil, gas and other harsh chemicals, this is one of the toughest floor coatings on the planet.
It’s easy to maintain and will last a lifetime while still looking fantastic.
I’ve used this product on my basement floor in spring 2016. I followed the instructions and received good results. However, since I have gym equipment in the basement, the thinner sections had to be recoated 18 months later.
Not a major problem as long as you can find the color to match your original coating. I used mocha which is a little difficult to find. I purchased this batch to do an additional touch up because l’m hard on my floor (dropping tools, solvents, caulking, glue, etc.
). So to keep everything looking good, a touch here and there is necessary. One drawback is if you don’t plan your usage of this product, it will start getting hot in the pouch it is mixed in then it will get hard and unusable.
I mark my touch up areas beforehand with post it stickies then quickly coat the areas before the product gets hard. This is a great product for do it yourselfers. Clean and prep the area, work at a good pace, be aware of the dry time before you walk or drive on the finished product.
Results are great if you follow the directions in the box.
I would like to start this by saying it will be an honest review. I spent quite a bit of money on this product. After reading other reviews on several platforms the consensus is that even though the box says it will cover a 2.
5 car garage it most certainly will not which is why I purchased 2 kits to start so I would not run out even though I only have a 2 car garage. It did take every bit of a box and a half and that is pushing it.
So that makes this product twice as expensive. The coating goes on like a thick tar or more like honey and is not very easy to work with. The foam rollers it comes with get so tacky that they peel right off the cardboard inner structure and make quite a mess getting off the metal roller.
This product was applied when the temperature was 70-75 degrees by day and 50-55 degrees at night with low humidity for seven days straight. It took 5 days for the floor to be dry enough to walk on and still had some tacky spots.
However the product states you can walk on in 8-10 hours and drive on in 24 hours which is completely inaccurate. When the floor gets any sort of moisture on it and is wiped up it permanently hazes and scratches even with a soft cloth.
If left to dry on it’s own it becomes white and hazy on the black coated floor. I went with this product because it was the color I wanted and Summit Racing has the best price around but I am glad I didn’t spend more than I did and am unhappy it had to be twice as much as the manufacturer suggests but I guess they know this and how to increase their profit 2 fold.
It serves it’s purpose for now but has not had any actual use from vehicles to see how durable it is.
The Project: 1. 28’x26′ (728 sq ft) 16 year old concrete garage floor, 2. 5 car garage, normal wear and tear (dirty, cracks, stains, etc ) 2. I am an average to above average DIYer The Application Process 1.
First pressure washed garage floor using degreaser/cleaner 2. Waited a full day then used etching and scrub brush and cleaned/rinsed as instructed 3. Waited a full 4 days before applying Rocksolid (drying out period) 4.
Vacuumed garage floor before applying Rocksolid 5. Temp during application always below 80 degrees 6. Humidity during application always below 70 percent 7. Based on reviews, used 2x amount of Rocksolid than recommended (one bag per approx 200 sq ft) 8.
After first application, waited full day and repeated applying another coat (one bag per 200 sq ft) 9. During second coat, added in anti-skid mixture 10. Applied chips during second coat 11. Waited full day and applied textured clear coat (again using 2x amount recommended) The Results and Observations 1.
Prepping/cleaning is probably most important part of whole process 2. Make sure concrete is fully dried and weather conditions (temp and humidity) are within recommended application range before applying Rocksolid 3.
Coverage area listed on product is significantly off. Plan on using 2x amount of recommended coverage. I used four 2. 5 kits for 728 sq ft and put on 2 coats (2 kits per coat). Basically, one bag (two bags are in a 2.
5 kit) covers 200 sq ft. 4. Some bubbles surfaced after each coat, but nothing significant. Bubbles were no bigger than pencil eraser and would pop upon touching. 5. If using chips, no need for anti-skid mixture 6.
Use gloves or have wet and dry towels handy when applying Rocksolid 7. Hard to tell if textured clear coat was beneficial following 2 coats of Rocksolid 8. Floor looks really sharp and glossy w/o chips.
Chips add texture but reduce gloss and shine 9. Floor is slick w/o chips 10. Roller brushes worked fine. Used one brush per kit (comes w/ 2 brushes) 11. So far Rocksolid has been great. Will update review if product deteriorates with time.
12. Review is 4. 5/5. Would be a 5 but coverage is not as specified. Easy to use. Easy to clean up.
Rock-solid Floors Polycuramine Clear Top Coat is a clear high gloss protective coating that is formulated to offer unsurpassed durability. It is 20 times more durable than epoxy, ensuring that it won’t crack or peel and providing resistance to salt, oil, gas and other harsh chemicals.
Walk on in 8-10 hours and drive on in 24 hours. Impervious to chemicals, industrial grade floor coating. 70 full ounce Kit.
Shipped quick and the quality is good. I was using this over a coat of grey that I had applied recently. I was getting an inconsistent reflection from the grey coat and the suggestions were to put the clear coat on top.
The clear coat helped a lot with the appearance and I am pleased. I did have to put this on extra thin so if you are not putting this over another coat you will need twice as much as they say.
I’ve used this product a few times, over the Rustoleum solvent epoxy floor paint, the combination works well, the finish is stunning. Application is a bit nasty, you need a good respirator, to be expected with solvent products.
One small gripe, the clear developed “dirt lines”, lines where it remained slightly sticky and then discolored. I mixed thoroughly so not sure why this happened. Getting ready for another application and hoping this doesn’t happen.

Rust-Oleum Rock-solid Polycuramine 1 Car Garage Floor Coating Kit offers unsurpassed durability. Resists salt, oil, gas and other harsh chemicals, this is one of the toughest floor coatings available.
Works great on workshop floors, garage floors and other interior concrete surfaces. Zero VOC’s and a low odor make it a great choice for indoor applications. Easy to maintain, lasts a lifetime while still looking fantastic.
Offers quick return to use with ability to walk on in 8-10 hours and drive on in 24 hours.
Mixed 1 bag of Black with 2 bags of Dark Grey to make the grey darker. Turned out exactly what I wanted. Painted garage to match. Seems like a good product. We applied when weather was dry and around 40 to 70 degrees in Gilbert, AZ (Phoenix).
Applied 2 base coats, chips on final coat, then clear coat. Non-skid that came with clear did not install because my buddy did and non-skid does not mix well! With chips/flakes I really do not believe you need it! Gloss shows dust very well, but that’s what I expected.
Product claims to be 20 times tougher than epoxy. We shall see? So far – very happy with product!.

I’ve been working on re-doing my patio for months now. I’ve put in so much time sanding and painting and I had it looking great, but wanted to add a nice clear coat for durability. I applied this so carefully.
I’d read reviews about it leaving white streaks, so I made sure to apply it evenly. Guess what. it still left milky white streaks. 🤡 Now I’m going to spend who knows how many more hours trying to fix it.
Just don’t do it. Please learn from my pain. If I can save one person this trouble it will be worth it. 😂.
Made with a unique Polycuramine formula that is 20 times stronger than epoxy. Resistant to salt, oil, gas and other harsh chemicals, this is one of the toughest floor coatings available. Product formula is perfectly suited for high traffic areas like garages and workshops but still safe enough to be used in other interior spaces like basements, laundry rooms and family rooms.

First let me say that to me a garage is a garage not a car showroom. If you want that type of look pay a professional. With that said I purchased the product with the intent of upgrading my existing painted floor in hopes of doing something different.
The product is a little expensive but seemed to work fine, though how it will hold up is the question. Just a few things to think about. The color I chose was called Amaretto and I guess it looks like that in some way but is more of a copper/orange color.
My kids call it the lava floor and I kind of like it. When my existing floor was pored I had broom marks placed into it to help with keeping it from getting to slippery when wet and they showed up. To get a truly smooth finish you may be able to eliminate that by doing a second coat.
As for coverage you should figure about 75-100 sq ft per box. , so I would by 25% more product just to be safe. One last thing, dampen the roller cover before you start and make sure it is fully loaded with product when you do the first roll.
The more product you have on it the easier it is to work with it on the floor and change the roller cover ever other box. All in all , a little expensive but happy with the results. good luck.
** B U Y E R B E W A R E !!! POOR RustOleum RockSolid products and the BIGGEST POOR from stand behind it products ** I have been royalty and spend a lot of my money to RustOleum Garage Floor products since 2006.
From Expoxy shield garage floor coating & RustOleum rock solid metallic floor coating. My Garage make over in Austin, Texas and the weather mostly HOT and dry. I used 9 of the kits after completely scrape off the old Exopy garage floor products (machine sand all of the existing, power washed, air dry for the few days and re-do the new RustOleum rock solid metallic floor coating at over 80 degrees in open garage temperature).
After nearly 6 months later the new RustOleum garage floor started peeled off a big chunk from my car tired sat on it. Day after day it keep peel bigger and bigger areas. I had contact RustOleum customer support named ‘Debbie Horan’ and she is giving me many reasons for not warranty the products.
ASKED and NOT GIVE. SAVE your time and money for NOT using RustOleum (NOT so) RockSolid Metallic Garage kit.
The floor looks sensational Like a sheet of glass. However word of caution. You will need double the quantity if youre going for a color other than silver or gray. If you choose the blue, cherry, rust etc colors they require two coats in order to cover the garage floor entirely.
Otherwise you will have the concrete floor showing through the blue or red etc floor. This dries very quickly. Dont use a squeegee if your floor is the slightest uneven because it will leave lines. Make sure you prep your floor thoroughly.
I even placed a primer down after using the etching.

Pros: This product is great it looks good, most of my time was getting the garage floor which had cracks ready for this to go over the garage cement. I like what it look like when it was done. Easy to apply and follow the instructions to the tee, make sure the cement floor is clean.
Cons: The only thing I can say if you want you have to buy more flakes to make it look great.
I struggled to find the right time to put this down on my garage floor because of the wide temperature swings in Arizona, but once it was installed I was extremely pleased with the end result. It completely changed the look of my garage.
I included one before picture along with 2 after the installation for reference purposes.
A tough, 2-component coating forms a bond with the surface that is stronger than concrete. Withstands splash and spillage of mild acid, gasoline, brake fluid, oil, and other automotive chemicals. Will not soften or peel when exposed to extended water immersion.
Provides excellent wear, impact, and abrasion resistance from heavy foot and vehicle traffic. Helps prevent concrete chipping, cracking, and dusting. Maintains a stronger bond with the surface than 1-component products – even under hot tires.
Use in warehouses, garages, factories, and other heavy traffic indoor floors. Also excellent for steel, metal, masonry, or previously painted surfaces. Kit includes 2 full gallon (1 gallon part A activator and 1 gallon part B base) and complete instruction sheet (English and Spanish).
2 gallon kit covers approximately 350 to 400 sq. ft. on smooth surface depending on porosity of the surface. Available in stock: Silver gray semi-gloss. No. 203373: Color: Silver-Gray, Formulation: 2 Part Solvent Base Epoxy, Size: Kit Makes 2 Gallon, Sheen: Semi-Gloss, Approx.
Coverage: 350 to 400 sq ft per kit, Surfaces: Concrete Floors:Factory,Garage, Pkg Qty: 1, Package Type: Box.
I used Rust-Oleum “Professional” grade EpoxyShield 2 part epoxy. Regular Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Garage is a 2 part non-catalyzed paint, which is powdered epoxy suspended in water, it’s “Fake News” (found out via YouTube video just before application of the “non-professional product).
Then covered with Rust-Oleum Epoxy Clear. Results turned out amazing. Ran Epoxy Shield to outside edge of slab, but stopped clear coat at door’s edge due to clear coat yellowing over time, due to direct sunlight.
Wished I knew some of this before I started. now you have your official tip! Also used Elastipoxy. This stuff works great but they are very proud of their product ($$$$). Make sure you let it sit before use (gets rid of bubble holes when set up).
They recommend filling concrete control joint with sand. I did this and tamped down with side of flat bar and hammer. First time pour, product filler joint, but partially soaked into sand, then needing a second coat, after it hardened $$$.
2 quart cans only covered half of the joints in a 3 car track home garage, with this technique. I reluctantly ordered a second set. Filled joint with tamped sand again. Tried covering sand with electrical and masking tape (to reduce seepage), but couldn’t get a solid seal.
Then covered sand with thin layer of $14 polyester resin. This put a thin seal over the sand. I let harden, then poured ElastiPoxy over the compacted resin covered sand. The resin prevented seepage. If I had done this technique, I might have done the whole project with one 2 quart set.
I recommend doing ElasiPoxy after all concrete prep work is done prior to epoxy coating whole floor, meaning degrease, pressure wash, TSP, and etch. Found a blow torch worked best to remove stubborn oil stains, it’s kind of like removing oil shale, but the torch burns off oil once out.
Once hardened grind off with belt sander till smooth with 36 to 80 grit. If you are lucky enough not to grind leave it. It tends to build up on edges, so grinding makes it flush. Ground product takes a little more attention when applying epoxy floor coat, as it has just a hint of porosity.
Over all product is just what the doctor ordered. Seems to be just a bit more elastic then Bondo, when hardened. Still wondering if Bondo will work because of price, but not willing to experiment due to over-all price of floor.
Super fast shipment, great price. Would definitely buy again. This was floor paint. 1 can was damaged inside the box though the outer box itself wasn’t damaged. Did not affect use of the product. Someone perhaps manufacturer loaded a damaged can or second into this package.
Ecos Exterior Porch and Floor paint (formerly known as ECOS Exterior Concrete Porch and Floor Paint) is an award-winning, high-performance, non-toxic, zero VOC paint that’s safe for everyone. Its unique and sustainable architectural coating is made with no solvents, biocides or fungicides, hazardous chemicals or toxic pigments.
It produces a highly scrubbable high-sheen surface that holds up under heavy foot traffic for many years. Made in USA. NOTE: Due to hot tire pickup, this product is not suitable for garage floors or driveways.
Like all premium quality paints, Ecos paint is thick and rich, and it hides very well. It applies with either brush or roller, leaving a beautiful smooth, even finish. Use on new or old concrete porches or decks.
Three coats are recommended for most porches. 24 hours between coats. One coat will cover apx. 430 SF. Ecos also makes a variety of specialty paints for ceilings, trim and furniture, radiators, EMR (electromagnetic radiation) shielding and air purification.
TIP: Box your paint. Boxing paint means combining all the paint of one color into a larger container BEFORE painting. This blends any inconsistencies in color, especially on large surfaces where the slightest variation from one(more.
Hi, Joel. Thank you for the email. I was in the middle of a difficult move and have been very ill but I did open the samples today and I was absolutely compelled to tell you that as a person with an anaphylactic latex allergy, mast cell disease causing excessive reactions/chemical sensitivities that I can NOT get over how amazing your paint is.
I smelled absolutely nothing. I simply can not believe it. Not a single smell/reaction/issue. I’m not stable enough to paint quite yet, but the samples were both close enough and I will be ordering it.
I just came from an apartment that was brand new and was making me so sick every day from the paint/chemicals. I also sent your company’s info to my immunologist and everyone I know like me. You have new, loyal customers! In a world where things have become difficult for many, not just me, I can’t tell you how amazing it is that you cared and created a place for things so vital to being healthy in your own home.
This was our first experience using Ecos paint. It had a watery consistency that made it harder to use, and required three coats. The initial smell gave me a headache; and when we had to close the windows because of a neighbor burning rubbish, it gave me a terrible migraine headache.
However, we were very pleased with how fast it cured, with no odor the next day. Finished room looks beautiful. I would recommend this, but need someone else to do the painting who tolerates it when wet.
As a person with MCS and an extremely strong sense of smell – and strong reaction to very small amounts of air-borne chemicals, I absolutely love this paint! Even their semi-gloss for baseboards and furniture trim (i.
e. oil trim paint replacement it seems) had zero odor for me by the next day and probably on the same day. (I’ll be testing same day wall paint by painting myself if possible soon. ) This is hands-down the best paint I’ve (and we’ve) ever found and used !! Thanks Green Building Supply.
AFM Safecoat Concrete Floor Paint (formerly known as Deckote) is a highly durable, waterborne semi-gloss floor coating, ideal for concrete floors or walls as well as stucco, brick, block, stone, or magnesite.
NOTE Not for use in garages or driveways due to hot tire pickup. Also, this product will not bond to floors made of gypcrete which is a lightweight concrete used in apartment floors. Two coats are recommended for optimal performance.
The second coat must be applied within a few days. Any longer will allow the product to completely cure and require light sanding before the second application. Safecoat Concrete Floor Paint can be tinted to any AFM color.
This is a great paint and I would always buy it again. I have been looking for a long time for a paint that does not have VOCs, toxic chemicals and so on in it and this one has satisfied all of my expectations.
I certainly hope that this company will continue to make such quality products and that they will not give up under the pressure of other companies whose criterion has never been health of their customers but just earning as much money as possible.

Floor prep, floor prep, floor prep. That is the first key to the successful use of this product. The second key is floor prep! Just follow the directions, to the letter, and it will work out well. Buy one more kit than you will think you need.
Paying the 10% restocking fee if you do not need it is MUCH preferable than running out before you have finished the job.
Rust-Oleum RockSolid Metallic Garage Floor Coating Kit is made from a unique polycuramine formula that provides a tough, ultra hard coating on properly prepared interior concrete floors including garages, basements, workshops and any other interior concrete within the home.
Resistant to salt, oil, gas and other harsh chemicals, this coating bonds to concrete and provides a unique, shimmery high-gloss finish on floors. Strong enough to hold up in the most demanding, high use areas yet the ultra low odor and low VOC make it safe to use on any interior space.
Provides quick return to use with ability to walk on in 8-10 hours and drive on in 24 hours.
This paint proved to be an expensive mistake. Dried too quickly, leaving bubbles that popped and rings everywhere. (Think of the backside of a pancake. ) The sheen was not consistent–shiny in some places, matte in others.
Third box of paint was not an exact color match. Together these factors ruined the job. Rust-Oleum customer support was useless. It’s costing us thousands to have this paint sanded down and covered with something else.
We took a risk with this product and it was an absolute disaster. Let the buyer beware!.
I would have thought that Rustoleum would have made a better product. I barely covered 90sqft with the product. This product is also translucent which I was not expecting. You will need to keep your doors shut to sunlight as it dries or it will have distinct shadowing where the sun hit.
I know it says no direct sunlight, but for the 30 mins I was applying it should not have done this. Do not recommend.
Protect your investment with the Rust Bullet for Concrete (5-gallon). It delivers a super-tough coating for concrete surfaces. Use it for all your concrete flooring needs, including garage floors, walkways, paths and much more.
This concrete floor coating is UV- and chemical-resistant, seals the surface from moisture and allows easy clean-up of spills. It can also be used to reduce dust, fill cracks, gaps and chips up to 1/8 inch.
This protective floor coating will add years of life to concrete surfaces so you can get the maximum value out of your flooring. It is also designed to be resistant to hot tire pickup to ensure convenient use.
This product will cover approximately 1,000-2,000 sq ft per coat and a minimum two-coat application is required.
Here is what we thought of the application. The worst part was opening the 5 gallon can. We had heard that comment from another reviewer. The product went on very smoothly to our 3 bay garage and doesn’t leave roll marks and levels extremely well.
The odor is manageable with good ventilation. As recommended, we rented a sander to roughen up the smooth surface of the floor and deal with some heavy oil spotting. The customer service was excellent and they were very helpful in both email and phone conversations.
We were able to apply a second coat after the expected four hours. It covers extremely well and leaves a nice solid shinny color with no streaks. Two people working was great. One doing the cut-ins while the other rolls.
We did have problems with flies and other insects getting into the paint which made it challenging to get them out. Oh well! One recommendation I would make is to make sure you vacuum thoroughly before you apply.
We use the blower and that was not enough in my opinion. We did notice that if sun got on it we had a few bubbles. Because our floors were very smooth we had enough paint left to do the small one bay garage with two coats as well.
We gave a third coat to the area where the tractor sits and that pretty much use up the 5 gallons. We tried to reuse the roller for the second coat but don’t bother, start with a new roller. The brush for cut-ins stayed in acetone between coats but in the end that too was discarded.
In terms of applying we would highly recommend this product over an epoxy. The working time was good and we never felt we were rushed. It seems very durable so we have high hopes that it has longevity and can stand the wear of vehicles, tractors and four wheelers.
We didn’t find many reviews on this product when we were researching and so I wanted to write this review. I hope it will give someone confidence to try it.
Our garage is 45 years old and approximately 380 sq. Ft. , and thus we ordered 2 gallons of Rust Bullet, along with 1 quart of the recommended spot treatment. We should have ordered 2 quarts of the spot treatment, as 1 quart only covered 1/2 of our garage (we chose to use a similar product from Home Depot for the spots on the other half, rather than delay our project to place a 2nd order).
We followed all instructions and one gallon of Rust Bullet provided full coverage for the fist coat. There was a very small amount (less than 1/2 inch) of product left from the 2nd gallon after applying the 2nd coat.
We spoke to a representative from the distributor regarding how to handle a significant 1/8 to 1/2 inch Crack down the middle of our garage floor. They strongly recommended the use of SikaFlex, after the Rust Bullet had cured for 72 hours.
We followed this advice and are extremely happy with the outcome of our total project. I had painted the ceiling and walls, before starting on the floor, with latex paints. Rust Bullet fully covered all of the drippings/spots from the wall/ceiling paints.
My wife says it looks better than a brand new garage. Now we begin normal usage and see if the product can stand up truly stnd up to this usage for up to 10 years. We purchased SikaFlex at Home Depot and filling our Crack required 2 and 1/2 tubs.
Sika manufactures many products, but SikaFlex comes in Caulking tubs. The product comes out kind of runny, but then self levels into the Crack and begins curing within a couple of hours.
Before applying this product to my garage floor I wanted to test it against some common shop chemicals. I first applied 3 coats, based on the manufacturers recommendation, on an unsealed piece of concrete.
If your floor is sealed or has grease or oil stains you must remove it first. After the Rust Bullet dried I applied the following chemicals, some several times due to high evaporation rate, and let the others sit on the concrete until the next day.
The chemicals that I applied were paint thinner, MEK, brake cleaner, brake fluid, and gasoline. The results were impressive. The next day I looked at the concrete and I literally could not find any trace of the chemicals or failure of the Rust Bullet product.
I am now waiting for the warmer weather so I can apply this product to my garage floor. I’ll add pictures to this review once we have completed the job. Also note this product does NOT like HUMIDITY so follow the instructions carefully.

This product was expensive, difficult and time consuming to apply, but if it held up as stated, worth it. Right? Unfortunately, after only one winter, the product flaked off where the car is parked. A big disappointment.
The rest of the garage held up well. However, you get it to protect the floor under the car. Not worth the money.
