A compound bow arrow rest is a device that helps to hold the arrow in place on the bowstring. It is usually made of metal or plastic and is attached to the bow by means of a screw or a clamp. The arrow rest helps to keep the arrow from moving when the bow is drawn and also helps to protect the bowstring from wear.
Trophy Ridge is committed to providing archers with the tools bowhunters need to get the job done. With the Trophy Ridge Sync Arrow rest, you have a dedicated arrow rest designed, tested, and made specifically for the most committed bowhunters.
The Sync Arrow Rest has laterally-adjustable launcher arms to allow you to perfectly fine tune your shot every time. Cable-driven technology gives you a smooth and reliable draw cycle shot after shot and flight after flight.
Design The Sync Arrow Rest moves with your bow and arrow. With a removable full containment arm your bow will be ready for the perfect moment. You’ll be able to make easy micro-adjustable corrections of your windage and elevation adjustments.
I was looking for a good drop away rest and rather than believe all the manufacturers hype and questionable reviews, I contacted The Hunting Public to find out what they used. I was told Trophy Ridge Sync MD was the rest to get.
I picked it up on eBay for a fraction of the list price. I set it up and after fine tuning, it functions perfectly. I like the micro adjustment functions which helps with getting it to center. I made the right choice by picking a proven product.
I’ve had two of these break since buying new this spring with a whitetail legend pro. The first one the pro shop caught when tuning my bow. The second one was on a 9 day antelope hunt in SD. I guess I won’t hunt day 9 tomorrow.
The rest only stays up 1 in 10 tries. Save your money and make another choice.
LOUD on draw. I have tried 3 different types of felt to cover rest and it still makes a loud noise when drawing arrow. I had an issue with the adjustment for height. Rest wont adjust high enough for it to clear the riser shelf.
When you shoot it slams down on the riser. The only option in tuning was to move nock point since I couldn’t adjust rest up because it was already maxed out, or down because it hit the riser. Might fit other bows great but I put it on my Bear Escape and it’s just not a good fit.
Which is surprising since it’s made by trophy ridge. Other than the noise and height adjustment it appears to be an ok rest.
Trophy Taker X-Treme Pro Arrow Rest is a cable-actuated drop-away rest built for extreme hunting situations. The built-in noise dampening system creates a church-mouse mentality and a smooth dual-bearing operation, making your draw and release a worry-free transition.
This rest has a rubber over-molded steel containment ring with a quiet launcher because of the Trophy Taker signature launcher bumper system. The arrow rest is covered with fleece to make it completely silent.
The Trophy Taker Smackdown Rest has been a solid upgrade from what we had. Installation was fairly simple and timing the system didn’t take too long. The rest has stayed consistent for the past year we have used it.
I did use a heat gun to flatten out the small plastic tie down point provided. The limb where it had to go was much flatter that the curvature of the piece. Other bows may not need this done but had I not, the double sided sticky foam likely would not have lasted this long; no issues with this after initial installation.
The manufacturer did send the left-hand model by mistake; the problem was quickly corrected. To be fair, I ordered this as the start of the pandemic when they had just switched to a work-from-home model so that may have been part of the issue.
Bought this last winter for my new bowtech to replace a top of the line ripcord. The ripcord had to be retuned when I switched arrow brands (hunting vs target arrows) so much so that I had to drop poundage to prevent fletching contact.
This Smackdown rest installed in just a few minutes and had perfect bullet holes and flight after one minor change from eyeballing setting done at the install. 3 different brands of arrows at any poundage all bullet holes through paper; no changes to rest needed like the ripcord it replaced.
It did have one draw back this spring during a 3D shoot. The limb attach string “stretched”. A few off target arrows from fletching contact before I realized the reduced tension was preventing the whale tail from dropping fully.
It was a quick but unexpected fix and it took a while to get the tension just right to enable the lockup feature so I dropped a star rating on this. Can’t beat a limb driven design for tuning and fletching clearance.
The lockup feature is a great addition for quieting the system since it keeps the arrow off the riser while stalking.
This is 4th smack down pro that I have owned. I have never had an issue with previous 3 that I have owned. My last rest failed me at the worst possible time. During my elk hunt screws on the rest started to come lose which I caught and retightened the screws.
That same day I missed an animal that I thought was an easy shot. Back at the camp we were doing some practice shots and I was way off. That’s when one of my friends noticed that my rest is coming too far back.
In close inspection I noticed that the little stopping pin has fell out. Luckily one of they guys at the camp had a screw from his sight in spare parts and I was able to make it work as a stopper and finish the hunt.
It wasn’t great but enough to allow me to hunt and I limited myself to shorted shots. I contacted my archery shop right after hunt to see if they can put a new pin in the rest and tune the bow but they did not have any.
This was disappointing because we had turkey hunt planned that same week. That’s when I contacted Trophy Taker. They said that rest probably didn’t have enough loctite on the screws and left their factory like that.
They offered to send me a new pin. I was ok with this until they said it will be 5-7 days to get a pin!!! I was hoping for better care for their customers and overnighting a pin so I can continue with my plans for turkey hunt.
They just said they wish mail was faster when I inquired about quicker shipping. Needless to say I will never buy another Trophy Taker rest again. Few extra dollars for shipping should not be worth loosing a customer for life.
Any hunter can understand a frustration when your equipment fails in the field. The only reason for two stars is because previous Trophy Taker rests that I have owned were great.
Arrow rests are up to 300 percent stronger than previous models. An extremely tough and durable dual-bolt mount with a set screw for even more secure mounting. The whisker biscuit arrow rests are constructed of aluminum.
The design makes setup easier than ever before. Mount the rest into your riser mounting holes and the rest will automatically line up the accurately with your strings. Designed for use with left and right hand bows it is lightweight, compact and provides maximum clearance around quivered arrows.
Windage and elevation adjustment. Aluminum-encased biscuit 300% stronger than previous models. Laser-engraved reference marks. Custom rubber boots silence arrow loading. Designed for use with left and right hand bows.
I always loved my whisker biscuit that I bought in 2005, and still use it. However, I just ordered a new one and WOW what a disappointment. The housing cracked beyond repair upon installation, even though I was carefully hand-tightening it.
This breaks my heart, and I’ll never buy a trophy ridge product again. Shame on you for making such a terrible product. I would have been better off burning 2 $20 bills. Buyers, You were warned!.
Great rest for the last several years on my daughters Cruzer G2. I purchased this for her when she was 10 and she is not 13 [yes, it is pink], providing her with 100’s if not 1000’s of arrows of fun, and trusted for consistent accuracy and results.
We have used this through Total Archery Challenge, to 3D Competitions, to Backyard Targets. Highly recommend!.
The innovative V-Notch naturally centers the arrow using fewer point of contact, eliminating side-to-side arrow movement, resulting in consistent arrow trajectory. This arrow rest makes tuning a breeze with its advanced windage adjustment.
Poor designe on how it adjusts. It puts to much stress on the small bolt that holds rest to the bow. Mine broke after just a few adjustments, sheared the bolt off. My concern is that its not a defect its poor design.
Even if i got a new one and it didnt break right away im worried it could break at anytime like in the middle of a hunt. Also the v notch that holds the arrows was to soft allowing an arrow to fall or push down the bristles.
My arrows are 9. 3 gpi so heavy ish but not way heavy. I would say if you want a capture rest go with the tried and true old school whisker bisket. I will be returning and going back to the WB myself.
Do not underestimate the amazing advantage of micro-adjustability! Borrowed from target archery the ability to micro-adjust your rest up/ down or left/right will allow you to fine-tune your bow while others merely tune theirs.
The rest functioned fine. I was replacing my old ripcord max micro that had broke. I took pictures of the settings so I wouldn’t have to completely re-tune my rest. The laser engraved markings didn’t line up between rests.
The main problem though was that the metal rod that the launcher arm connected to was bent! This is unacceptable quality for a made in America product!.
This is my second Ripcord. Both have been bulletproof in their construction and very adjustable. My only dislike is that there seems to be no way to prevent them from light contact with riser as the fall away.
If I could I would rate it 3. 5 stars due to this. I can eliminate most of the slap by installing the ‘fuzzy’ side of velcro to the riser. Both of my Ripcords were on my bows at purchase. The first I later changed out for an Apex Accu-strike Capture.
The Rip Cord Ace Pro is a great fall away arrow rest. The micro adjusting features make setting up the rest simple for new and experienced users alike. I had to move the arrow support to the other holes on the left away from the burger button which provided more clearance for tightening and loosening the windage set screw.
The launch pad does not come with the rest so if you want it, as I did, make sure you visit Rip Cords website when comparison price shopping.
Super quick operation along with 360 degree sound dampening mean whisper quiet operation, no matter what. The Apache does not require any wrenches or other tools to make adjustments, just set it and forget it.
Laser graduations make fine tuning in the field a snap. Rugged all metal construction is built for any weather conditions, rain or shine. This is truly the ultimate capture drop away rest!.
i bought this product from cabelas for the hunting season. it was a little bit less money than i had thought would end as a good drop away rest but i thought i’d give it a shot (no pun intended) the first thing i noticed was that it didnt come with a string attachment so it took me about 30 minutes to get the rest setup before i started tuning.
It worked like a dream for tuning because of the tool less adjustment. and in about 2 days i was completely setup and ready for the hunting season.
The arrow rest came as advertised. I have installed it and it functions quite well. It was a bit difficult to install only from the perspective that the activation string needs to be attached to the down cable and they say to severe it to that cable.
That is a difficult proposition because the cables run pretty tight together and getting any severing tool into that space is virtually impossible. I wound up adding nocks to the cable and tying the activating string in a knot below them.
Other than that it works fine and the set-up was relatively easy. If you are coming from a shoot-through arrow rest where you shot the odd feather down you need to rotate the arrow so that the odd feather is up with this rest or it will make contact and disrupt your arrow’s flight.
(Walmart won’t allow the proper term for the odd colored feather, calling it “sensitive language”. RIGHT!).
I am very happy with this rest, it is everything I wanted, and everything people said it would be, at a great price. I have put off ordering a drop away rest, because I thought for the features I wanted it was going to be well over $100 dollars, so was I surprised with the Apache.
I have shot a spot hogg that was very noisy a friend loaned me, and it shot great, but was way to noisy with the reset function it has. My groups tightened back up past 30 yards, and my broadhead flight tightened up.
I was looking for a drop away, with containment so my arrow would not fall off the rest, but it had to be quiet for hunting and this rest offers all of those. Easy to set up, and tune, with quiet operation.
Great for target shooting, 3D, and hunting purposes, this rest produces no bounce-back when firing. The machined aluminum mounting bracket includes full windage and elevation adjustment. This rest works with both left and right-handed bows.
WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Heavy plastic construction makes this a stable platform. The rest has “OK” adjustability with lots of range of adjustment, but by design lacks features to make very small adjustments easy to accomplish.
Simply a cost trade off. This rest is very quiet, especially when setup correctly, and it is very likely to stay where you set it if correctly tightened. It is intolerant of underspined and to stiffly spined arrows because the flexing of the arrows while leaving the bow causes interference.
That interference will prevent getting a good “tune” of the bow. So this rest isn’t for you if you are not using arrows well matched to your setup. Arrow containment is excellent, and arrows naturally move to the set center position at the draw.
The TruGlo carbon XS is inexpensive, and is a good value for the archer who needs to control cost, and wants reliability.
While this is definitely one of the lower cost drop away rests and easy to install, it has a significant design flaw that caused me to remove it shortly after installing it. The v-notch in which the arrow rests is simply to shallow and does not consistently center the arrow.
With every shot, I had to check to make sure the arrow shaft was centered in the bottom of the rest and often it slightly off to one side so I had to shake the bow to put the arrow shaft in place. That is totally unacceptable for a hunting rest or a target rest.
I have only put a few dozens arrows down range with this rest but it shoots spot on and consistent if I do my part. I am very happy so far,and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Great cost effective drop away rest for my back up bow! If it remains so in the future only time will tell but so far I really like it and it was pretty much a breeze to set up and tune.
Seems like it is constructed fairly well too. The actual contact inserts do seem to wear somewhat rapidly. Luckily they give you five of them in different colors.
The innovative V-Notch naturally centers the arrow using fewer point of contact, eliminating side-to-side arrow movement, resulting in consistent arrow trajectory. This arrow rest makes tuning a breeze with its advanced windage adjustment.
The TruGlo Carbon XS Drop-Away Arrow Rest is a full-containment, drop-away arrow rest for incredible accuracy in every shot! The patent-pending design prevents unwanted bounce-back when firing for even more consistency.
High-strength torsion spring increases launcher arm performance. Sealed bushings on the rest increase downward speed at launch. No bow press required for quick and easy installation. The Carbon XS Arrow Rest attaches to the downward moving buss cable.
These arrow rest do not hold up. Thought it was a good test to help a young new shooter and keep them safe but it won’t last a week. It is very cheaply built and I would not recommend at all. The design is nice and I do like that just needs major improvement all the way around.
This compact, micro-adjust rest was designed specifically for Mathews bows with a dovetail mounting system for quick and easy setup while providing a secure hold. The streamline housing allows for precision tuning with 1.
9 thousandths of an inch adjustment per click, both horizontally and vertically.
Easy setup, cradles arrows perfectly. Alignment to sight is easy, seems more durable and better built then discord model. So far love it. Fall away is flawless. Color matches my Halon 6. Accuracy using it is great.
The patented VDT knows to only drop-away when the bow is fired. The Ultra-rest is the only arrow rest on the market to offer these features. LDT (Lock-Down Technology) eliminates rest bounce back, guaranteeing total fletching clearance.
Increased speed and accuracy offers minimal friction and zero fletching contact. Shoots the shortest arrows possible. Up to 4″ shorter than the competition.
Bought this today and had it installed by a cabelas pro staff member. Shot it a few times at cabelas. Got out to the archery range later in the day and the rest didn’t drop away fast enough and arrow caught and broke the plastic cradle in half.
Returned for refund. I saw it came with a replacement in the package but I didn’t want to risk it happening again during bow season and not be able to hunt. For this reason I will stick with a whisker biscuit.
I don’t know why anyone would buy something made of cheap plastic which could malfunction at any time. I have shot a whisker biscuit for the last 15 years with no issues and never had one break so I’ll take the 5 feet per second less.
I have had this rest for just a little over 1 year now and the drop away mechanism no longer functions. The arrow fletching nocks the rest down when it goes through causing the arrow to fly way off course.
Checked all the adjustments and still got same results. Only a 90 day warranty so I am out of luck. Will definitely not purchasing QAD in future.
I purchased this QAD HUNTER arrow rest because I had a good experience with the EXACT same arrow rest on my PSE Brute X about six years ago. Yes, the exact same arrow rest on my PSE Brute X functions perfectly every time and has done so for six years.
This second QAD Hunter I put on my PSE Drive X fails about every 10th shot. By failing I mean the arrow smacks the launcher causing erratic arrow flight (usually downward). This recent purchase I bought during this month (February 2019).
To be fair, I contacted QAD. They responded fast!! And they agreed to take the return of the arrow rest and fix it. How they will do that I do not know. I had this QAD Arrow Rest installed at a local pro shop in Denver.
They state the problem is that my new PSE Drive X with two hybrid cams is too fast for this arrow rest. They also state that the QAD Hunter has “bounce back” problems. Whatever. My first QAD Hunter functions well on my single cam bow.
I will take up QAD on their offer to inspect, repair or replace the arrow rest. But for now, I’ve lost confidence for the QAD Hunter on a dual cam (Hybrid Cam) bow (the PSE Drive X). The last thing I want in a hunting situation is an errant shot to wound an animal.
Oh. and by the way, this new QAD Hunter functions better in an indoor range that is warm. When I shoot at an outdoor range at 33 degrees, I get more “fails”.
Trophy Taker Smackdown Lockup Arrow Rest – Left Hand – Compound Bow Hunting Archery Accessory SECURE MOUNTING: 2 Contact points on mounting bracket to ensure your equipment never fails. EASY ADJUSTMENTS: Increased wind age block adjustments by.
25” to accommodate 1” riser designs. DURABLE DESIGN: Made of precision machined aircraft-grade aluminum alloy utilizing stainless-steel hardened components made to last. QUIET OPERATION: Full over-molded containment ring with built-in sound dampening system.
This rest seems to be very well made and was recommended by friends who shoot the same rest. The instructions are a bit difficult to follow, printed on a small piece of paper and don’t flow very well.
You Tube videos helped here. I have not had a chance to shoot the bow with the rest yet. Timing it is also a bit of touch and go to get the set screw exactly right so the lock up button will disengage the capture arm.
Purchased this rest a few weeks ago and now that it is set up I’m happy with it. Installing it on my PSE Drive NXT took some tinkering. On my bow there is a boss that needs to sit in the slotted screw hole on the rest.
Unfortunately the slot is just a tiny bit smaller than the boss. Also, with the short near parallel limbs and my relatively short draw length of 27″; there was almost not enough travel in the limb to allow the rest to operate correctly.
Last challenge is that the tabs that stick to the limbs with double stick tape have a curve to them that is much greater than the limbs. I had to sand the tabs down flat so that they would stick to the limbs.
After getting everything set up the rest has been working solid and my groups improved almost immediately. I’m glad that I stuck with it and got it set up and working with my bow. I would have given it 5 stars if I hadn’t had to tinker & modify things to get it installed.
I was not very impressed with this product. I received it and it did not function correctly out of the box it wouldn’t drop away and my arrows were flying crazy. Come to find out I’m not the only one with this experience I talked to 2 other people with this same mode at the local archery shop that have the same issue.
Now that said I do like trophy taker brand I think they just made a bad product on this one. The customer service I received from them was very good that is the reason for the 2 stars the product got zero.
The Weatherest, by Bear Archery, is an easy way to try shooting with an elevated rest. They are inexpensive and adhesive backed. Enjoy all the benefits of an elevated rest without investing a lot. Available in right or left handed.
I hunt in all weather conditions on public land. Rain snow etc. have always been a major pain for me because of feather fletchings. So after much trying and failing to find more weather resistant feathers I gave up, mounted this rest, and switched to vanes.
The result has been a vast improvement in my shooting during less than perfect weather. Would have given 5 stars if the foam adhesive pads weren’t so thick and easily messed up. Using super glue to secure the rest solved that.
My target shooting definitely improved with it. I will continue to buy them and use them. My only downside is how quickly they wear out using stiff feather fletching. I use Gold Tip traditional carbon arrows and the fletching is cutting it up pretty fast.
The plastic fletching doesn’t seem as tough on it but shooting traditional I use the feather fletching and really like the way they fly.
Although the Bear Weather Rest is described as a device to used on “youth” bows, I found it to be very effective when shooting aluminum, plastic vane fletched arrows with my Samick Sage bow. It is quite easy to install.
Provides a very limited degree of adjustment (you are given two adhesive pads to attach it to the bow which allows you a small amount of latitude for moving the mount a slight distance away from the bow.
The material for which it is made, a resilient rubber, seems to hold up well through use (I’ve probably shot at least 500 arrows off of the one I have on my bow. I tried to put a low cost, adjustable arrow rest on my bow, thinking that being able to move the arrow away from the bow might improve my accuracy.
The result was the new rest tore the vanes off of most of the arrows I shot using it. I quickly removed the adjustable rest and re-installed the Bear rest, and have lost no vanes from the rest tearing them off.
I’m just a hobbyist so ultimate accuracy is not something that keeps me awake at night, but being able to go out and shoot my bow without coming home and spending the next hour or so repair arrows is a big plus.
For the money I can’t imagine a rest that provides a better value and more suitable for its purpose.
Recently installed one of these on my Prime Black Bow. Got it tuned up and it is sending bullets downrange! Installed with the Prime specific mount. After that it was easy and it truly works better than expected.
I have never been able to put a fixed blade broadhead in the same hole as a field point. I have to believe this Gen7 has helped me in tuning accuracy. Thanks.
Last year I purchased a Gen 7 after many years of dealing with set up issues on a different brand of dropaway. Put the Gen 7 on my bow and what a great rest. Setup is super fast and simple. I love this new rest.
Load your arrow on this rest and it’s secure in any position even upside down. The three arms fully capture your arrow, promote a silent draw and give you flawless fletching clearance every time. No warped or shredded vanes.
And it works perfectly in wet and freezing conditions. It’s easy to set up, and one wrench makes all adjustments.
My go to as an alternative to a drop away rest. I purchased 2 of these rests and use them as my alternative to a fall away rest, The more I use them the more I like them. With this type rest you don’t have to worry about setting and timing them and serving in pull cord like a fall away.
I use them on two of my bows and they are just as accurate as my fall aways, they are made of good materials are rock solid and quiet, adding a little mole skin on arrow skid helps it to not wear it out.
I definately will purchase more of these in the future when my fall aways break or wear out. Good stuff ! I recommend them to anyone who demands an accurate rest without the hassle of setting up a fall away 5 star rest.
This rest is excellent! You should know a little something about tuning a bow in order to set it up properly. I have read many reviews about this rest at many different retailers. It seems to me that many of the problems experienced by negative reviewers could be due to improper tuning techniques.
If you don’t know how to tune a bow properly, take it to a bow shop to have it done correctly, and this rest will work just as advertised. I was able to paper test my arrows with perfect results; believe me, if you take your time and do it right, you will not be disappointed.
DescriptionNAP Nighthawk Drop-Away Arrow Rest Right Hand 60-869 The full containment ultra lightweight NightHawk capture drop away arrow rest features super quick operation along with sound dampening Santoprene for whisper quiet operation, no matter what.
Laser etched graduations make fine tuning quick and easy. Rugged all metal construction is built for any weather conditions, rain or shine. The ultra-lightweight magnesium housing keeps weight down. Right hand models only.
I was adjusting the cable length for the rest and noticed the height was lower and when I tightened it the bolt stripped out and the rest fell off. This whole experience was frustrating. I would not recommend this item or buy it again.
Nice feel since it’s magnesium. Good weight without being heavy. I wish it had a locking mechanism like the QAD or ACE rests. But it functions properly and definitely helped improve my accuracy. For the money, I’m buying one for every bow in the house, and still not spending as much, put together, as I would on one of the high end rests.
Full containment drop away arrow rest offers complete containment and a Gator Grip cord clamp for easy cord adjustment and replacement. Centrally located ergonomic thumb lever allows cocking of the launcher using either hand.
Patent pending latch and brake system produces smooth and reliable performance.
The rest wasn’t functioning correctly and came from the online shop so the function felt dry. So wasn’t working as smoothly. Had a friend who have the same one and his was way smoother. Probably just got a lemon.
But it was very difficult to time the rest. Went with another rest instead.
Unbelievable rest it is truly unreal how good this rest is. This rest is better than all of the QAD and ripcord rests out there. I bought it in June and used it in hunting season and have never had a problem with it never once has the timing went out or ever had a problem with it bouncing back up on me or not going down in time just a great rest by HHA and probably will never go to another rest in my life.
The X-Treme SL from Trophy Taker offers the perfect blend of fall-away accuracy and arrow containment all in an economical package. The X-Treme SL features an aluminum mounting bar and spring/launcher housing coupled with a 60% glass filled nylon ring and windage adjustment (one piece).
In addition, the 60% glass filled nylon launcher is overmolded onto a hardened brass bushing for smooth and reliable performance. The X-Treme SL loads quickly and easily yet still ensures arrow capture and retention over about 320 degrees of bow rotation.
The patent-pending X-Treme series rests are loaded with features such as the ultra-quiet full capture launcher, innovative Drop Stop launcher noise and vibration dampener, and now the no-tools-or-fasteners-necessary quick-install cable clamp.
The rest works, for sure. However, it’s pretty flimsy, and I don’t see it lasting long at all. I also think it may actually decrease accuracy due to it’s flimsiness. The rest torques to the left noticeably when at full draw.
it also has no elevation adjustment, so getting a precise tune out of it is next to impossible. However, it does work, and it’s cheap.
The Fred Bear Hair Arrow Rest gives you a quiet platform for your arrow to ride as you draw it back. It also gives you a smooth and silent wall against which your arrow slides. This Bear hair arrow rest and the Bear SilentArrow plate are self-adhesive, so installation is quick and easy.
You can use on either right- or left-hand bows. It’s a handy replacement part when the original wears out or if you want to try something new.
I was very skeptical about using this system instead of a plastic arrow rest but I wanted this simple rest/plate to go with my recurve barebow. I’ve shot with it on four outings at the range and so far no issues.
I got the rest and plate with a recurve bow kit and 3Rivers installed for me and they did a pretty good job as both pieces are still firmly secure. So any newbies who are getting into traditional archery can have confidence that they can shoot from this rest, no problem.
Only thing is you need to shoot fletched arrows with it.
This is as easy and rugged as it gets. I have it on my Tomahawk SS and it looks great. A good look for a traditional rig. As others have said, it will wear the carpet rest away after hundreds or even thousands of arrows go over it.
That said, if you always shoot your arrow the same way (let’s say [email protected] feather out) you will wear the rug in a reliable pattern and form a groove that over time may actually improve your accuracy as later arrows fly reliably true in the groove each time.
I only gave it four stars instead of five for the simple fact that I have had my bow out in the rain and sleet a few times and when it got soaked, the rug’s adhesive started to give out. After it dried out, a few dabs of superglue did the trick (something I just do out of hand now to prevent any nasty surprises in the field).
Of course, you have to then be very careful as you use a razor sharp blade to remove the dried glue residue when replacing rests but it isn’t that big of a deal if you are careful and steady.
The capture-style Storm Capture Arrow Rest by TruGlo features adjustable brushes to hold your arrow at almost any angle. Dual-coil launcher is adjustable and replaceable. Reduced arrow contact increases speed and accuracy.
The ultra-tough, all-weather design is great for target shooting, 3-D, and hunting. The patent-pending Storm Capture is quick and easy to install to get you at the range or in the field faster. Quick-change colored inserts give this rest a unique, customized look.
I built a back up hunting bow and a target/indoor outdoor bow. As you know a New Bow costs as much as a set of new tires , or 3 new chainsaws (crazy). Then you have to buy accessories to set them up.
My Hunting rig uses the Vapor Trail Gen 7 rest. Well over $100. So for 2 bows thats approx. $250 in rests , low dollar would help,so I tried this rest , it chronographs at 23 FPS faster than my Gen7 bow , For $100 less ! I am loving this arrow rest ! And no moving parts to break.
There are many different types of compound bow arrow rests on the market, and it can be tough to decide which one is right for you. Do some research to figure out what features you need and then narrow down your choices.
Ultimately, the best compound bow arrow rest for you is the one that fits your shooting style and helps you hit your targets consistently.
