Best Companion For Control Wizard (2024 Updated)

I bought this item for my young daughter. I thought it would be light and fun. The interactive pages are a blast! I realized after going through the book however, that it’s a little more serious about wizardry and spells than I thought it would.

There is a two page spread on divination that comes with a small pack of cards. It then gives you instructions on divination. In my opinion, this is something not to dabble with so I did not find it appropriate for impressionable children.

I would say it’s better suited for kids 13 +.

The information within the book is priceless,if a person is interested in becoming a wizard. Very educational. Lots of pictures an excellent book

This is such a great book, has information about the film and cast I didnt know. Theres an envelope at the back with things you can take out-poster, certificates etc. Such a lovely item.

This is a wonderful keepsake book for any fan of the wizard of oz. I enjoyed many before seen photos of the movie set and promotional material. Great gift idea for any Wizard of Oz fan/collector.

I was so unhappy with the books condition when it arrived. The box was smashed and the inside had only 2-3 plastic airbags. The corn was bent and it was a mess.

The product was a gift. It did not work, at first. It came with dead batteries. Learned later that it had bad reviews due to the fact that batteries were often dead inside new purchase.

I have asked my granddaughter how she likes her book and she loves it !

The award winning James Patterson has written an enjoyable read for both adults and teens. He won Author of the Year in 2010 and called Americas #1 Storyteller by Forbes Magazine. The chapters are short enough for the plot to speed along and leave you on the edge of your seat, but long enough to captivate anyone`s attention.

The characters that he has originated, Whit (Witford) and Wisty (Wisteria) Allgood are the perfect team; Wisty is bullheaded while Whit is composed and rational. Wisty is the typical edgy teenage girl or so it seems.

She is a witch and has the ability to have her entire body into a torch of flames. Whit is unquestionably a wizard but he hasn’t discovered his abilities. This story reveals their struggle to find who they are and the fight that they put up with turmoil the world is going into around them.

The siblings were taken from their home by the New Order- a government ran organization, they ban anything creative and especially witch craft. The two make a band of misfits and rebels who have escaped the wickedness of the New Order.

A bunch of teenage criminals and hooligans against an entire society- who will triumph? Fun, relatable, and edgy, this page turner will have you fighting alongside them by the end.

Excellent book, good story plot. Worth reading. Easy to read so even younger readers will enjoy it (not a lot of big, fancy words). Looking forward to future installments of the series (I hope it’s going to be a series!).

However, when the author began using the world Wiccan to describe the characters who possess magical abilities, I got a little miffed. Real wiccan do not do what these characters do, the author is perpetuating the myth about magical abilities.

At least the novel is trying to say that witches and wizards aren’t bad, people can be good or bad and it’s a choice we all make and you have evil “straight and narrows” and you have good S&Ns, you have evil “curves” and you have good “curves”.

It’s who a person is and not what a person is that deems them good or bad. (Okay so maybe the author hasn’t gotten to that moral of the story yet but I have in my life and I think that’s where the plot/moral of the novel(s) is going.

) So in conclusion, a good book. Worth reading if you have the time (took me about 6 hours of reading here and there during my average evening at home).

A brother and sister team, neither of whom knew their supernatural powers when the tale begins, make an interesting duo. They are typical teens. same language, same mercurial temperment, same mind set.

They face a new regime that wants total control of the world. and magic has no place in it. Strange creatures and even stranger places help the story keep the listener’s interest. There are two readers, a male and a female; both of whom do an incredible job making the story come to life, (The male is Elijah Wood, of the Hobbit movies fame.

) Promise that Hollywood will pick this one up, and it should be a blockbuster!.

This book is beautifully illustrated with recipes that are doable for muggles because substitutions are given for magical ingredients, eliminating the need to slaughter any hippogryphs or worry about whether it’s better to use the left or the right eye of the newt.

There are recipes from Narnia, Wonderland, the Wizarding World, and many, many other familiar works of fantasy. It especially tickled me to see the White Witch’s Turkish Delight. I purchased it to give as a gift and it is so awesome I may have to get myself a copy!.

This was a bridal shower gift for friends who love the wizarding genre. A super fun addition to their kitchen, and a way for them to enjoy trying new recipes. They both love the movies, games and books that are featured, and will love seeing some of the dishes come to life.

This is great for a Harry Potter fan who likes to cook. There are recipes that are easy to make. Some have strange names, but that is part of the Wizard thing. And if you are a fan, it will look good on the shelf-definitely a conversation piece!.

This is a fun book. It’s basically like an all-around guide to Harry Potter but with lego pictures. It’s not quite what I was expecting. I was hoping that it would have a little more emphasis on the HP lego set a themselves.

But it’s a really nice book and my 6 year old loves it.

This is a nice Harry Potter product. I bought it to give to some young boys, so I hope they like it. They are the Potter experts, so if they like it, it must be good! I think they will like it.

Dog ate the first copy I got. Was enjoying the book so much had to reorder to keep reading. Salvatore is amazing and hooks you into the story in just a few pages. Characters are so well done you really care about what happens to them.

Awesome story. R.A. Salvatore paints a clear picture of every location and every character. I hope the rest of the series in even half as riveting !

Having read every book about Drizzt leading up to this, I was initially surprised by the different direction that this story went. In the end it was worth every word & in my opinion, one of his best to date.

Another Christmas item purchased for grandsons. They use electronic, both computer and phone games so this is out of their wheel house so to speak. i am hoping they will enjoy the “non electronic” game as much as their very stimulating electronic games.

I won’t know for sure until after the gift giving but am sure as they are still on the young side, they and their mother will enjoy the old fashioned game experience.

Looked everywhere for a pop-up game for my 12 year-old Grandson. I’m so very thankful to have found this one geared toward his age. My Grandson had a double lung transplant earlier this year, he’s doing well 🤗, and he loves playing pop -up board games like this one.

I bought this early for a Christmas gift for my daughter. We haven’t played it, being that it’s October and I haven’t given it to her yet, but I’m excited to. It can sometimes be difficult finding Harry Potter games/ toys for a 5 year old, but she absolutely loves it all!.

An amazing book that I highly recommend reading. Finished the entire series awhile back and I loved every book! The Dragon Heir was definitely my favorite! 😻

It is a good book with an interesting story. You don’t have to read the first book to know what is going on because it starts off in Sephs point of view. It could help you farther in the book if you knew a little about what happen in the first one, but you can survive if you haven’t.

I liked it and I am waiting to buy the third one, The Dragon Heir. Also, when they ship books they package them well. They boxes are cutom made(they are kinda ramsackle,but it works so I don’t care) and whatever book you order fits in well.

I have never had a problem with missing orders or money issues(I pay with a gift card). So you don’t have to worry about you items getting to you house as long as you fill out everything correctly.

The second book is different than the first because the main character changes, so that was a bit of a surprise, but the book was still gripping. The author describes events extremely well, so the reader feels like he/she is actually there.

There was a fresh perspective on the main character, and the writing was very fluid; action packed without feeling rushed.

It is super cute! The sounds are cool. The muggle vs. non-muggle compartment separation is the main thing that is lagging. There is just a little cardboard tray that sits on top that you can take out or not.

Loved it! Cute accessories and sounds. Great price, especially compared to other internet sellers. Wish the case was made out of something besides cardboard, but it is sturdy.

I bought this a fortnight ago and was disappointed in the quality of the case as it was damaged.The corners had Three of the corner protectors missing and the seam on the case peeling apart.

Almost reluctant to buy yet another HP book for my daughter but I’m so glad I did! This book is incredible value, packed full of great photos both of the cast, crew and behind the scenes. My daughter is reading this every night and the facts and how the films were actually made information it reveals are incredible.

Even to a novice fan like myself it’s interesting! Cannot recommend this amazing book enough, an absolute must for any aspiring wizards.

When I purchased this book, I was a little wary as this book was such a bargain. now I know why! The book is creased, pages bent, a child has written in it, and all of the artefacts which I know are meant to be included, have been removed which is mainly what I purchased it for.

Will not be buying from here again.

Just been to the fantastic studios with my 9 year old son where they filmed some of Harry Potter and it was excellent. The books were somewhat expensive and this one, which reflects what you see in the studios was excellent value for money and had lots of extra bits like the Marauders map.

There are all sorts of Harry Potter books but we liked this one as it was a good substantial book crammed with information and would highly recommend this book for a keen fan.

I absolutely love this 1st book in the sword of truth saga. I could not put it down and have started the 2nd book. I am looking forward to reading all of them. It is a bit close to the bone at times regards the cruelty and descriptive gore.

However the magic etc. is non stop I love the main characters and the dragon. Fantasy fans of myth and magic will not be disappointed.

The author has created a world and set of characters that the reader can sympathize, relate to and ultimately ‘cheer on’ throughout the book. While the novel is basically a ‘good vs evil’ story, it does not hold back on the harsh realities of life and indeed the story itself promotes a sense of emotional involvement from the reader.

If you enjoy authentic characters, magical back-drops and prime examples of the human condition (food and bad), then this book is definitely for you!.

I bought this item after reading several reviews because I wanted a faster way to control one or more off camera flashes. First off, it works great adjusting the power in both manual and TTL modes. I can look down and quickly adjust my key or fill lights based on my subject.

Secondly, size! It is small and fits perfectly on top of the camera. Lastly, no addional batteries! It uses the power right off the Mini TT1. Now this could be a non issue for some shooters, but I also like to look at my data in my camera or later when I processing my pics.

I like to see what I did and review all the information, such as ISO, F stop, shutter speed and flash power. What I ran into using my Nikon D600 with SB910 strobes was the information in the data always recorded the flash as full power.

When I contacted Pocketwizard they confirmed this issue however said this was the first time it was brought to their attention. There is no immediate plan to correct this but I was told they would look into it.

Again, I would have easily given this 5 stars based on it’s size and convenience. I also use a SU800 which does give the flash values in the picture data, but it is bulky and you have to refresh it to change settings not to mention it’s an addional battery to carry for the unit.

The AC3 is just the tool to allow photographers to balance and adjust the output of remote flash/strobes. When mounted on a radio transmitter (I use the Pocket Wizard Mini-TT1), the AC# allows you to control up to three lighting zones.

You can have as many light sources as you wish in each zone. The AC3 transmit your adjustments to each light source mounted on an appropriate receiving unit (I use Pocket Wizard Flex TT5’s) With the use of Pocket Wizard’s AC9 unit on each light source, the Ac3 will even control the settings of Alien Bee light units.

The AC3 removes the necessity of going to each lighting unit or group and manually adjusting the settings, returning to the camera position and retesting. You can manage all of that from the camera position, shooting the image and adjusting the lights with the AC3 as needed.

A major time saver and stress reliever.

Hard one to rate. I bought three. The first took almost an hour and a half to program. A lot is left out in app and descriptions but you can work through if you have patience. But I am sort of good at this, not great.

The second took 10 minutes, the third 15-20 minutes (my error by having a wrong product model number and not knowing it). If you have all the product/model numbers and inputs and outputs prepared, and can understand their approach to the design (e.

g. better to just delete things and start over when there is a problem), this is a great product. If you miss any element or can’t adapt, you will be unhappy. My third application wound up a bit limited, but that was my physical set up (TV in different room from receiver and cable box), and I can figure out a work around.

I would buy this again for my specific use (trying to update 11 year old controls, new comcast box etc). If you don’t want to play with this, have a mediocre wi-fi network, aren’t comfortable with working through app menus or have an atypical physical arrangement I would not do it.

I already had one of these. Got another one for my parents who can’t figure out how to play Netflix from the TV apps or watch satellite TV or switch the input on the audio system. This control automatically turns on specific devices depending on what they want to watch.

You can even control lights and outlets, either individually or automatically in conjunction with an activity such as watching satellite TV or Netflix. It’s a really great remote to compliment any smart home/entertainment system.

Despite the fact that this product is extremely well built there are major issues with this implementation. The first issue is the programming. While MyHarmony does try to import any profiles that you may have from other Logitech remote controls, I found that keys were not mapped as they should’ve been along with certain device profiles.

The second is actually getting your devices to work properly. In order to program this remote control you have both the MyHarmony Windows application as well as an iOS or Android app. I found it necessary to constantly go between one version of MyHarmony and the other.

I have yet to be able to get this to play nicely with my Windows machine. And the problem is basically that you can’t just use a keyboard to type in the key sequences you want. You have to choose from the key combos on the phone app and some combinations just aren’t there.

And if you try and do a custom command the remote goes into learning mode and asks you to transfer the command from another remote. After working with this device for the past week and a half I’m not sure whether or not I’ll keep it or referred back to my Harmony 650.

I bought a used one prior to the one I have now and it did not seem to fly properly. The controls were delayed and would not respond immediately when a control change was made so I sent it back. I got another used Typhoon 4k Q500 drone and it worked great.

I use it for my music videos, weddings, TV Shows, and Short films. This thing is durable to say the least. I have crashed it into the house twice so I recommend the propeller guards if you are not used to flying this drone near structures.

It seems to be made to solid and the parts are easy to get all you have to do is Google it. There are plenty of part suppliers including B & H as one of them. I suggest getting the dual charger and a second battery.

The pendant is awesome and has plenty of controls. The best thing I love about this drone is that I don’t have to tie up my phone or tablet in order to fly it. It comes with a tablet built into the transmitter ST10+ and makes things way easier.

When you turn it on it just works and you don’t have to spend time trying to get your phone or tablet out and then trying to get it connected. You turn on the switch for the pendant and the drone and it does all the work for you.

The thing I dislike the most about the drone is that the pendant works on WiFi and also the dronetends to drift it’s position more so if it is lower to the ground as oppose to being in the air higher up.

Closer to the ground it does not hold its position as well as when you send it up in the sky. The drift toward the ground is about 3 to 4 feet give or take.

I purchased this as an alternate controller for the Yuneec Q500 4K. Your first step: Go online and download the instructions! The controller requires that you calibrate it (spoiler alert- you twist it around in figure eights while you rotate counter clockwise at eight increments).

Put the bird in bind mode-turn it on, then tilt it nose down two times(light goes flashing orange sort of color)Then you must bind it, holding the down button and the power button, blue light comes on, keep holding until it turns back off.

Turn it on again, and fly! It has all three modes on the side, including the beginners SMART mode, and return to home. The action it takes depends on whether you hold it horizontal or vertical. Watch the videos on youtube so you understand this well before taking to the sky! It comes with a water RESISTANT arm case for using the watch me mode while kiteboarding.

You can also use it to point in the sky to a location you want it to fly to. Be aware, the wizard has a shorter range than your full controller, but is loads of fun. It really looks like you are using a TV remote to fly your Typhoon H or Q 500.

Oh man, I love this thing, just wish I had more time to use it. I’ve had it for awhile now, and it never gets old. So freakin useful for scouting my property, and initially was perfect for examining a potential conflict relating to property line boundaries, neighbors, and fences.

But really it’s just plain fun to fly, especially once you get some practice and aren’t so afraid of crashing the thing (even though it really wasn’t very expensive), so what’s the biggy(?) JK 😉 I recommend getting a simulator like the one that’s cheap and simple from the Yuneec website, to practice before flying to establish familiarity with the controls, or to stay in practice when you don’t want to actually fly it, like in some of the nasty weather we get here in the Cascade foothills.

There are better drones out there, but not really for this price. Enjoy!.

I have Nikon flashes and Commander, but there are situations where the infrared is inadequate to fire my flash, so I thought I would give the Pocket Wizards a try, Intitially, I was concerned since it sometimes required two actuations to get the flash to fire.

Silly me; the flash units were going into sleep mode in a relatively short time, and had to be awakened. Since I resolved that problem, the Pocket Wizards have performed flawlessly. I even tested them at 40 yards through a wooden fence, and a concrete block wall, behind the line of sight.

Worked great! I haven’t tried to see how far away I can get, but I expect it’s a long way in open conditions.

I owned this set for little over a year and half. I use them in the college studio with Profoto gear. When they work its great, but sometimes it will not fire the strobe (Acute 2400 packs). Both units do it, which is a problem when you are trying to get your shots with a model.

I end up using the schools early version 4 channel PocketWizards and they work 100% of the time. Sent an email to PocketWizard support and I get back how to troubleshot the issue. How in the world am I supposed to look at the lights to verify sync when I am shooting my assignment? I tried different channels than what is used by school equipment and it still happens.

I have let other classmates try them on their cameras and it happens to them too. They are surprised just like I am. Definitely a problem with the Plus-X models I have. I was considering the TTL model, but my experience with these makes it hard to justify.

A few classmates that have cheaper other brand generic triggers and they work, where mine has intermittent issues. This is not what I expected when I purchased them.
