Best Cold War Graphics Settings (2025 Updated)

I am currently only using a Ryzen 3 1200 clocked at 3. 7 ghz, which I already know is bottlenecking the card but until I upgrade my processor it’s what I am using. Overall this is seeming to be a great card for the price.

I also got Anthem for my free game, and I received the email to activate the code once I plugged in the card and updated my drivers. (For those of you wondering how that process works. ) I plan to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 2600, so hopefully that will resolve the frame dips and I can play all my games on Ultra at 1080p.

I was previously using an EVGA GTX 1050 SSC (2gb model, not a TI) and the performance and graphical improvements I have made with this new card are insane. If you are using a card like mine currently and are thinking about upgrading while using a mid-range Intel i5 or r5 processor, I highly recommend this card for it’s current sale price of $379.

The product itself is ok, but I have not really got a way to test its full potential yet. I have an old cpu, motherboard and ram so I think when I upgrade I should get better frame rates and less stuttering.

It was a little tricky to set up, finding the best settings for it. The first run was stutter city when I played Fortnite so I downloaded Nvidia inspector and I chose the best settings for fortnite, then it was ok.

I still think having an i5 4570 with only 8gb of ddr3 ram didnt help when recommended ram for the 2060 is 16gb. The card itself is quite small and could fit in any build whether an itx, micro atx build or a full size atx.

It is quiet and only audible when the fans are at about 80% but they would never get there. I was doing some manual over clocking and it got to around +145mhz in the boost clock and around +400 on the memory clock.

The 2060 oc from gigabyte is a fantastic card, but I shouldve waited to get everything else before I got the new gpu. It doesnt seem to work with older hardware as well as newer hardware, keep that in mind.

Like many, I was annoyed by the sound of the fans on this card. Unfortunately since I was buying parts one at a time and it took me over a month to get all my hardware ordered, I was outside the refund period.

Annoyed by the grating sound of the fans, even at idle speeds, I went shopping. Two NF-A9s, 4 heavy duty zip ties, a Y splitter, and a GPU header to PWM adapter later I have zero complaints with this card.

Even when the fans ramp up, they sound whisper quiet in comparison to the stock fans. Temps are down slightly, but not by a significant amount. The heatsink seems like it’s just not beefy enough for the power this thing kicks out.

It’s still a good card when stock, if you don’t mind the noise. But with my open back headphones I couldn’t stand hearing it.

Just scroll up and down a little bit and you’ll notice that this card seems to have two main issues that happen over and over, both of which I am experiencing: 1. The video will randomly stop working for a half-second all the time.

Screen just cuts to black while scrolling the internet, doing nothing intensive, then everything will pop back, fine. Little “whoopsie” moments that I’ve never had with another card. 2. It just straight-up fails.

Dead within 4 months. Lots of others in the reviews here with the same failure too: screen goes black, sound works fine, computer boots but card just doesn’t produce an image. The warranty and RMA process is/was fine, they quickly issued a ticket and after shipping it out, they repaired it in a little over a week.

The diagnosis on my ticket is “Component Bad” which, seems pretty honest. Customer service was fine and the card was repaired efficiently. In terms of performance, it’s a 3090. I have few complaints about its ability to game at the highest settings and encode video.

The issue with this card is that it’s completely unreliable. Early on I chalked the frequent crashes up to the new chip architecture, early drivers, and young RT APIs, but after nearly half a year with this card, it’s plain to see that this isn’t normal compared to those with cards made by other brands.

Important to mention: the card was always run at stock voltage, never overclocked. If you have the luxury of choosing a 30-series GPU right now, choose a different one than this. It will be unreliable and you will most likely have to do at least one RMA before even half a year is through.

Runs everything I throw at it max settings. Claims that this card uses too much power and throws too much heat I think are exaggerated. My system is perfectly cool and quiet using this card. You can undervolt it to a degree if you want more power efficiency and not lose any performance.

No problems with stability so far. Disclaimer, I’ve only played a handful of games and only have maybe 30 hours on the card. I will adjust the review as I grow my experience with it. I notice Death Stranding allocated 20GB of the 24GB of VRAM.

Not sure if its really using all that but it feels the need to allocate that. Something to check on for people thinking they are buying future proofish cards like the 3080 with half that. settings were max everything at 4k with DLSS quality.

Speaking of DLSS. Looks amazing, not noticing any artifacts and in some cases I think it actually looks better than native 4k. Granted I have not tested DLSS extensively. Mostly speaking of just Death Stranding at this point.

If you like RGB, this card is extremely basic on that front. Not very flashy. It does have Dual BIOS which is nice. I haven’t bothered overclocking it yet, if I actually have trouble running anything I’ll explore that otherwise I don’t see the point.

Two HDMI ports is also nice. Only ASUS and GIG offer this. HDMI 2. 1 is superior bandwith to the 1,4a display ports. I would’ve thought a nextgen card would feature multiple of a nextgen connection but alas most of the new video cards only offer 1 for most brands including founders edition.

I find this surprising and kind of ridiculous. This card is meant for 4k 120hz and you cant do that without compression methods over Display port. As with any 3090. Its not priced fairly for gaming purposes.

It’s a halo product for people who want the best and dont mind paying alot extra for not a ton of performance gains. I do think as games consume more and more VRAM this card could potentially differentiate itself more from the 3080 than it does now on present titles.

Games already touch 10GB of VRAM quite often and games are only getting more advanced.

Been running it nearly nonstop for 2 weeks and so far so good. Im using Afterburner GPU at 0 and memory at +1000. Aggressive linear fan curve which starts at 50% and goes to 98% when GPU hits 50c. So far Im getting GPU around 40c , hotspot at 65c and Mem at 80-82c, at 18c ambient with about 75% fan.

I do recommend leaving Afterburner on for 20 seconds after ending gaming, before shutting down completely, to continue running fans and evacuate residual heat. Planning to do thermal pads on backside and add heat sink when weather warms up here.

So far Im loving this graphics card.

I am astonished at what this card is capable of. Even my high expectations of what a premium priced, 30-series RTX GPU could deliver were exceeded. EVGA delivers not only some of the best enthusiast features, but does so while seriously undercutting it’s competition.

When I walked in to buy my card, it was $500 less than the 3080ti sitting next to it. This is not at the expense of any quality or feature, but simply an economic effect. For once, the market leans in our favor.

The overclocking on this card essentially nullifies any advantages that the 3090 FE has over the 3080ti FE. The cooler is about as good as it gets for the kind of power/voltage that EVGA is putting through this card.

I wish EVGA were more aggressive with their default fan curves, but these are simple to customize. I saw moderate reductions in temps by increasing the fan speed in the 70-80C range, which is where this card operates during gaming.

I personally believe that this card is even overkill for 1440p. I decided to pair it with a 4k 144hz M28U, and I’m glad I did. I would feel bottlenecked with a 1440p monitor. Not only because this card is an absolute beast, but because DLSS will make up for any discrepancy between your FPS and screen refresh rate, if there is one.

As for really intensive titles, I’d especially argue for 4k. It’s truly a sight to behold when this card makes quick work of games you have only dreamed of. For a single component in your build, the price is hard to swallow.

But I will say this: in this GPU market, this is AS GOOD AS IT GETS. Brand new, from a revered retailer, who is pricing it with little to no inflation attached. Like I said, competing cards from other AIBs are inflated by $500 on the same shelf.

I’m expecting this card to take me through this decade, so all things considered, it’s a pretty good deal.

The 3080 Ti is Gen 4 pinnacle performance. You literally can’t do better with consumer based graphics cards without going (waiting for) Gen 5 (ie. PCI-e 5. 0). I bought this card for gaming and on the most intense and demanding game I play (Cyperpunk 2077), I was able to get consistent 63 FPS @ 1440p with all settings maxed out completely.

An impressive feat considering my last card had an FPS in the 20’s under the same settings/conditions. Now I can finally play it. Not every game though is as demanding as Cyberpunk 2077. Everything else I game with this card pushes close to 200 FPS.

Fantastic performance. Good thing I paired this card with a 240Hz monitor. If you want the very best Generation 4 has to offer, this card is your ticket to updating to the highest current standards. There is no such thing as “future proofing” so don’t buy this card for that.

Nothing is future proof. The graphics card is the one & only computer part I’d recommend over-spending on, and if you can find a way to afford it, buy a 3080 Ti. And heck, at the time of me writing this review, Microcenter is selling for UNDER MSRP.

OK, so the price right now is going to put a lot of people off (£1600 at time of purchase), but compared to other 3080Ti cards, this is a decent price for a water-cooled card, but stress “in comparison to” other 3080Ti cards.

I’ve seen some really chunky air cooled cards that are going for a lot more than this. The installation instructions are really bare bones (most of the insert being taken up with other languages), so take your time with it and get the cabling right.

I still don’t know why manufacturers can’t run the all lights and fans direct from the card (I am guessing so the RPMs can be monitored). A single USB cable would have been a much better and tidier option than the breakouts on this for the fans if it can’t all be done over the PCI-E slot.

You will need to pay attention to the instructions which say to put the 240 radiator above the card – this may conflict with any existing water cooling gear you’ve got. I have a 360 rad for my CPU that had to be relocated to the front of the case – it literally took me over 5 hours to get case re-wired and everything done properly, so plan this in if you have to move anything.

The card isn’t silent, you are going to hear some fan noise depending on how hard it’s being pushed, but it’s not intrusive and not something I generally hear as I play with headphones on anyway. At the desktop it’s completely silent.

Because of the water-cooling, it was pushing some really high boost clocks, up to 1965MHz, even higher than the 1800MHz it’s rated for. The Precision-X software can be made to lock the boost in should you have a need – I haven’t had a need so have saved some temps and watts can be saved by not doing this.

The card is driving a 60Hz 4K panel and there’s not much it can’t run at 60FPS, with a tweak in DLSS (where supported) here and there with everything dialled up. Played Control, Cyberpunk 2077, Division 2 – all smooth with settings pretty much maxed out and looking gorgeous.

Moved on up from a 290X so this is a big change for me. I like that you can purchase an extended warranty direct with EVGA for not too much (~£30) to add an extra couple years onto the 3 years. Yes, for the money it should have come as standard with it, but it’s now covered for expected life of the card.

The LEDs for me are a nice touch, they complement the other kit I have, but can also be turned off if you prefer. There are a few different choices in the, rainbow/breath etc. to choose from. Ensure you install the Precision-X software as that’s the way to get the BIOS updated – it had an out of the box required install and a week later another BIOS came along (not sure what for, but suspect Amazon had something to do with it.

) Highly recommended card – it is basically a water cooled 3090 with half the RAM and an exceptional boost available.

I ordered this online with a 650w PSU Combo during the black friday week. I bought this card as part of a new build to get into VR (Samsung Odyssey +). I was overseas and was only able to install and test it mid December.

VR and pancake games all ran great. Unfortunately only after about a week, I started noticing subtle artifacts in a highly modded Skyrim. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting the ENB thinking it was the culprit.

It got worse the next day even without ENB and even after reverting to vanilla, I tested other games and they were stuttering and crashing. On about the 3rd or 4th day after the first issues began it got to a point where games and 3dmark would begin showing artifacts within seconds of launching, would stutter and either crash or freeze.

Since I was 2 days past the 30 day mark of buying from Newegg I contacted EVGA, they were friendly enough and it was a quick and pleasant experience working with them. At their recommendation I tried another PSU and validated it was the GPU.

They gave me a ticket to request an RMA number which I began. But after I realized that I would be getting a refurbished product AND would need to pay for shipping, I decided to give Newegg a try despite the +30 day.

I lucked out that they have extended return days for the holidays, which allowed me to request a replacement. I’m still anxiously awaiting for it after sending it back last week, due to the holidays though, I’m not anticipating getting it till probably after new years.

Anyways, my suggestion to anyone that buys this is to benchmark it. Get 3dmark and run their different demos, try out games that put some stress on it to hopefully identify if its a bad card. The XC Ultra has a massive heatsink and quality fans and even in the older less demanding games it failed.

I did not overclock it at all nor run intensive games in 4k. My 7 year old 7970s are keeping me afloat with a PC until I get this thing back, unfortunately no VR 🙁 I’m still going to give this another shot and I want to make it clear that I’m not unhappy with EVGA.

It appears the RTX line from all vendors and makes are having issues. I appreciate their overclocking policy (go check it out!) even though I don’t plan on OC’ing this. It does give me tremendous confidence that their products will run a long time under factory settings.

I had a GeForce 440 that i bought when i was like 13 after saving for months and it was solid. Not too happy with having to pay for shipping or get a refund for a product that only ran a week though.

I’m hoping I got a fluke and the replacement runs solid, I’m definitely going to push it the first two weeks of owning it to hopefully identify if its good or not. If it fails me too, I’ll probably seek out a 1080 if I can find one or hold off for more info on the upcoming AMD cards which seem promising.

First thing first, delivery and shipment were incredible fast. The newegg express eggsaver works perfectly. i made the order on tuesday by midnight, the card arrived by thursday morning (less than 2 days later), consider that i live in Chile!! The packaging was very well built, had no problems at all.

I was a little skeptical about the delivery, because i was told that the card could be held on custom, but i didn´t happen in the end. About the card itself, i come from a marvelous experience with a GTX 980 SC ACX2.

0, that is still performing strong and i wanted finally to step up to 4K gaming because i had the money. I knew that i had to be on the enthusiast range, and on the red side there´s no a real support on Ray Tracing and not enough horsepower to display 4K gaming on the 60FPS range or more, at full-ultra settings , sooo i looked closely on the older brother; the RTX 2080, but then came the refresh for 2060s-2070s and this model was just announced, so i waited until i could buy it.

There are some models here on my country, but not this one, so i decided to bought it here because i feel in my case given the models vs how much they cost and my previous experience with EVGA, that this was my best bet, like some say, best bang for my buck.

What i don´t fully understand is the fact that big part of the community says or recommend that the right GPU to use on 4K is the 2080ti. This card is 17% faster than the 1080ti according to Tomshardware (which is already a good card to start on 4k gaming BTW), am just beggining my experience with this card, so go figure what may happen in the future for me, but games like Control plays really well on 4K on max settings with this card (see pros for detalis), so i expect that trend to last for a few years at least on the vast majority of games to come, including more RT features too, so i think you DONT NEED to spend 1200+ USD on a 2080 ti to see this level of performance, and That´s a fact (at least for now).

So far, am very happy with the card, as long as it has the built quality that EVGA is known for, i guess should not have a problem. EDITED the whole review, to acknowledge the whole experience now almost 2 months later of normal use.

Not only do they speak in a reasonable version of English I am likely to understand as a North American – I know they are knowledgeable about their items, and at every contact I have had with them they evince an intelligent, patient effort to help while knowing when NOT to waste my time or theirs.

Regarding the RTX series Card from NVIDIA RTX is useful to perhaps 1 to 2% of the potential customer base at the moment given the restrictions of being able to game with ray tracing in real time at some of the blistering speeds it needs to be done at not to hold up rendering.

As a step up in performance other than that, it is as advertised. Looking at some of the comparative data from testing, it was worth the nickel – and with the X1 Precision program handling fan profiles and so forth, the card performs quietly, coolly, reliably.

Regarding Newegg I am averse to risk. That is the reason I use Newegg. Like EVGA, Asus, and Thermaltake, usually they have the best values, and in the few cases where they don’t by a few dollars – I can say over the last 20 years, the pittance saved has never been worth the risk.

G Sync with ‘Compatible’ Monitors. Worked with the one we use in the builds listed pretty well with the new drivers current at the time of this writing. You may have to play around with some of the setting/options depending on your specific hardware or the specific program – we were generally pretty happy.

This game is decent to say it best. I was not all that jazzed about the campaign. I don’t really play zombies that much. So really for me it is multiplayer. I liked somethings about it and like always there are things I hate.

The perk system is ok, especially if you like to upgrade your weapons and have several attachments, but this just overpowers certain guns to a ridiculous point. The weapon choices are ok, like always there is a variety to choose from to suit your play style.

I don’t like the fact that finishing moves are locked behind battle pass. You should be able to earn these in gameplay, and not having to complete every stage in the battle pass season. Some of us can’t grind like that all day.

But making these things achievable like finishing moves, character unlocks, skins, through challenges and gameplay would make it better. There should be a happy medium between players who just want to spend the $ for the game and enjoy it and those who want to spend an infinite amount of money to unlock everything there is that the game has to offer.

I think they should put some stuff in there that we can earn or trade in prestige tokens for. Still sell your battle pass for those with the deep pockets and give your other players a chance to unlock some of this stuff without having to shell out.

Give us something. The free bundles they give are usually nothing to get excited for. I know that this is the way it is, but it would make your audience appreciate you more if you gave them that happy medium.

Black Ops Cold War is a really good game, when it works. The game has been rushed and is in beta stage, at best, for the Series X. I’ve lost all audio from the game regularly, requiring a reboot. I’ve lost all game audio but kept the chat audio multiple times, requiring reboot.

One level of the campaign crashes at least once every time I play it, and this last time I played it, it crashed 4 times in about 12 minutes. Another mission gives you a sniper rifle on the side of a mountain, and if you dare to look through the scope at surrounding mountains, it produces graphics glitches that sometimes crash the game.

Trying to get a second player registered with Activision for split screen will lock the player into an infinite loop of error messages and registration pages, requiring a reboot to exit. If you do get a second player in split screen (they’ll need to be registered with Activision first), they will likely be locked out of their class creation.

Trying to load certain maps with a guest account for the second player can crash the game. The custom game creation is a dumpster fire, and they clearly never bothered to test it because the menus for setting up custom game rules are completely broken, listing weapons in the perks and equipment slots and preventing most of the restrictions from being used.

Setting up games with bots requires a lot of trial and error as there are two different menus where this can be done (usually. sometimes one disappears), but the options aren’t at all the same. In one menu, I was able to set bot difficulty unless I had already put in the maximum number of bots, and then I had to reboot to set the difficulty, while the other menu didn’t allow for setting the bot difficulty at all.

Some of the maps available will remove all bots from the game and prevent them from being added back when you change to another map, requiring another reboot. And as of today, they added a massive patch that has now locked me out of the game and tells me to purchase the full game.

I expect some hiccups with updates, but I get the impression that the developer really only ever fully tested the standard multiplayer modes where they knew the vast majority of the players would spend their time.

The rest of the game hasn’t had adequate Quality Control. Like I said, it’s a good game when it works. I like it better than any other COD since Modern Warfare 3, though I haven’t yet played the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot.

The graphics are amazing. The gun selection is great too. The customizations you can do are almost endless! Coming from Warzone I didn’t like the set up of everything (create a class layout) and I still really don’t.

Any time I go back over to warzone I definitely prefer that layout over this one but I’ve gotten used to it so no big deal. I definitely think this one is a bit more difficult to play because you have to be more accurate with your shooting.

The gameplays are good. I enjoy the maps. I love how they have some of the OG maps on here. The characters stories are great too. Love the battle pass, just completed season six battle pass. Looking forward to seven.

This like any other COD or MWF, I think the bundles are priced way too high. One of things I dislike a lot about these games. But overall, great fun game to play.

I have been a COD player for many years. I usually play through the campaign as well as play multiplayer. This year’s game has many pluses that I wasn’t expecting Note – I am playing on a Series X Campaign – Short, OK story, graphics look great and it runs butter smooth.

Multiplayer – is great as always. While it is typical COD multiplayer this years version is great to me. There is a lot of small additions that I like and while I play COD every year I sometimes got frustrated with the quick twitch shooter that it is.

I am not sure why but I average more kills than I do in most versions and I am not sure why. Maybe it is the number of frames it is running at on my Series X that is making the difference. I usually only play Team Deathmatch but here is what I like: – points continually build to get your kill steaks.

– equipment stays until it is destroyed or used – weapon customization – weapon feel great as always – runs at least 60 fps Things I don’t like: – Quick scope kills for snipers. That has been a problem for years and it continues -couple bugs in the equipment screen that shows there is something new available but there isn’t -It can be a little slow to get into a match -There a no big team deathmatch like last year.

Limited to 6 per team So overall I was pleasantly surprised with this years version of COD. I will continue to enjoy it until some more new games get released.

I don’t buy these often but the process is simple. Enter the code and the points points pop up on the account when you restart the game. I wish they would go on sale as they rarely do, but I don’t buy them often anyway.

I got lucky getting this GPU at MSRP. I was not planning on getting this card or even an AMD card at all. I was hoping to get a 3080 or 3090. After seeing what this card is capable of and how good it looks I’ve decided to just keep it.

Went from an ROG 2080ti to this one, and there’s definitely a jump in performance. Another thing I noticed compared to the 2080ti was my overall system temperature. When stressing the 2080ti the amount of heat coming out of the computer was crazy.

It even increased my room temperature a couple degrees. I do not have that “issue” with the 6900. My last AMD (ATI) card was a Sapphire Vapor-X 5870 in crossfire. I believe I paid around 350 bucks for each card back then and it was just top performance.

Paying over $1000 for 1 GPU isn’t fun but it is what it is. I really like this card, wasn’t expecting it at all. Some of my system specs: – Asus STRIX X570 E Gaming – AMD 3900X @4. 5Ghz all cores – 32GB Corsair RAM @3200Mhz – ASUS ROG Strix Helios Case – Asus Strix 6900XT – Corsair RM850x PSU – Samsung G9 (5120×1440 @240Hz) and yes, GPU has ran games all maxed out without any issues.

I bought this GPU about 5 months ago and it has been my go to for everything that requires Discreet Graphics. The gaming performance and overclocking capabilities of this 6900XT is second to none in my opinion.

You can’t go wrong rocking this LC 6900XT. I also need to mention that the GPU Die is hand selected and of the highest quality!.

It’s very quiet and runs quite cool even driving a 4K display with AAA titles. Easy to install, seems very well made and great lighting effects. My only complaint is that it’s so big! The actual card is as long as most air cooled GPUs and significantly bigger than Aorus Waterforce AIO GPUs.

How can you hate the game? are you mad? iconic. more trick shots, no scopes, throwing knives, dropshots the whole lot. multiplayer is insane campaign and a trilogy of modern warefare 2 and modern warefare 1.

Would recommend playing these campaigns before playing modern warefare 3 campaign. The game is so addictive and the class possibilities are endless. Yes it is a rage inducing game and a screaming game, so you have been warned but with friends you can have an amazing time playing laughing screaming and getting hyped to the point mum and dad tell you to keep it down.

People have memories with this game and can tell you how fun it was running back from achool and spending time playing it. forever a game to be honoured, replayed and laugh about. This game is available on PC, XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is an epic first person shooter which redefines the way in which combat action style shooters are undertaken. From the original which came out about six years ago Activision has continued to refine this brilliant model in order to make it an effective action shooter in a way which similar games are now adopting.

The heroes Soap and Price are in pretty bad shape, and the nefarious villain, Vladimir Makarov, is still missing and currently at large. You battle through various missions around the globe and use a very extensive range of weaponry during firefights.

The survival mode is also a new addition and allows various players to compete against wave after wave of enemies. Or the player may decide he wants to engage in firefights in a solo type environment, which makes for a harder, more engaging combat.

As you engage in mission after mission in this new survival mode, you will be presented with much harder levels as the levels progress. Where Modern Warfare 3 really shines is in the online multiplayer, where you can compete against human players which makes this shooter probably one of the most realistic type of shooting simulators ever to be constructed for any console.

There are sixteen maps located in the multiplayer offering an excellent breeding ground for multiplayer combat. You also have several modes of play from street firefights, controlling particular towns from invasion, stealth infiltrations, rooftop firefights, multiplayer as well as various survival modes, battle modes, online modes.

Quite an array to keep the overall entertainment flowing. Modern Warfare 3 has continued to improve on the previous titles offering better choice of weapons and upgrades, while keeping various elements from the previous titles, including Territorial Control, Bomb Planting, Snipers, Mass Killing to name but a few.

In terms of graphics and overall performance this game is a continuation of this improvement and refinement. I have spent hours and hours on this game and loved every second of it and everyone I know that has played this game also enjoyed it!If you like an all action packed shooter which incredible detail, refined controls and great sound quality, then this title is worthy of a look, as it really adds to the realistic feel of what it would be like to gear up and take the leadership role in the middle of a war zone.

There is always one big flaw in this series… that’s right you guessed it. They make a new COD game every 3 months or so. I was so looking fwd to this game, especially after COD MW2 got hacked and the hackers killed the fun! The creators just gave up on it cuz they had more COD games coming out.

The two player mode to complete the missions was awesome. I loved playing with a buddy trying to beat the CPU on difficult settings. Man those Juggernauts were a PAIN to get passed. Alas, this game was also hacked in its future and abandoned by its creators.

All that is left are the memories of Online play.

Waited a LONG time for this. Saved for years! For my purposes, 3D rendering, the number of CUDA cores was more important than the VRAM. Everyone in the 3D forums I visited was saying you need tons of RAM for scene size.

I’m not interested in massive scenes. I am not greatly experienced in 3D because my older machine wasn’t built to handle the job. But I have studied this for years. My first few rendering attempts so far with this card have been fantastic, suggesting I’m not wrong with the path I’m on here.

This card easily handles large, not massive scenes, and there are tools & tricks to lessen scene size without losing image quality. My goal, tho, is speed of render, and so far this card has proven it’s super fast.

I should be able to create, for example, high quality animations, by rendering frames under a minute long each. Much shorter if I composite lower-resolution mid and background elements under more complex hi-quality forground action.

As far as i can tell, this is exactly the card I need. I’m still learning, but thrilled at what I’m seeing so far!!.

Incredible card. This thing looks, overclocks, and performs like nothing I’ve ever seen or used. I’ve got it running at + 125 core, +920 memory which puts it over 1TB of bandwidth. Run my overclocks 24-7.

Temps are incredible if you know how to build a PC the right way and have your static pressure setup correctly in a full tower with fan locations and directions. I game in 4K @144hz and at my overclocks, I’m easily outperforming all stock and aftermarket factory-OC 3090 models in all games at 4K.

4080Ti and 4090 will need to create a massive gap between generations for me to jump away from this card. Dont get one for stock speeds and benchmarks you are watching. Get one because this thing will overclock like nothing ever has out of the box and you will get a massive increase in performance over what you’ve seen.
