I have been drinking cold brew coffee for the last 4 years. I’ve evaluated many brands in my search for the best one, and in terms of flavor, Wandering Bear is one of the best. I had the joy of ordering their coffee cartons for the first two months of my subscription, after which I was switched to the “on tap” boxes due to supply chain issues surrounding the cartons.
Sadly, the “on tap” boxes are a swing and a miss. Setting them up is certainly easy. However, the plastic spout has a slow pour speed, and when combined with a hard plastic “pour” button, you may find your thumb getting sore each morning.
I find myself fighting the boxes as about halfway through, the coffee pour slows to a trickle. I need to rock the box back and forth and hold that painful little plastic button the whole time. The final cup in the box necessitates you removing the whole bag of coffee from the box and tilting it upside-down, in your sink, trying to wrestle the last big of coffee out of it.
Of course, all this drama is before you’ve had your cup of coffee for the day. As you can tell, it’s not been a great experience. I’ve endured it for months hoping next month would bring the cartons back, but as of writing they’re still out of stock.
The simplicity and convenience of pouring coffee out of a carton is simply so much more desirable than an “on tap” box – which doesn’t really bring anything to the table other than a novelty you’ll enjoy for a little bit.
I am not a coffee company, so I cannot tell you why cartons have encountered supply chain issues for the last 3 months but boxes with specialized hardware have not. When you look for the best cold brew brand, convenience is a significant factor – and sadly, I think I’ll need to keep searching.
This stuff is fantastic! It tastes great and it so smooth and there’s no bitterness. Wandering Bear Coffee has created a Coffee fiend. In turn, I’ve been gifting surprise shipments to others! My daughter and son in law have 5 month old twins plus a 2 year old and the shipments of wandering bear coffee have kept them alive after many sleepless nights.
I use the regular (with caffeine) in my protein shakes in the morning and I use the decaf for a refreshing ice coffee or Frappuccino in the late afternoon. I don’t have fridge space but I do have freezer space so I actually open my box and put some of it into a smaller pitcher for the fridge and then I have to make frozen cubes with the rest.
It’s actually pretty handy and easy to throw a few cubes into my shakes or Fraps and just blend them in. However, I’d really really love to be able to get all the flavors in the smaller 32oz or single serve cartons and not have to make so many frozen cubes.
Enjoy a delicious cold brew coffee treat for yourself! Wandering Bear Cold Brew Coffee is a delectable beverage with a velvety smooth taste for a more enjoyable coffee experience. It is available in a distinct flavor that can be enjoyed straight from the fridge.
Made from freshly roasted 100% coffee beans are steeped in cold water.
I haven’t tried the Straight Black yet but OMGoodness the Carmel (96oz) is the greatest Iced coffee I’ve ever tasted & best part is you don’t have to drive anywhere to get your favorite drink… it’s right here in my Fridge.
Makes excellent surprise gifts too for any Coffee lover in your life. You won’t regret this purchase❣️ I can sum it up in one word; YUMMMM. Sudan Napoli Berens AKA/LadyBereness 😘.
I first learned of Wandering Bear through my subscription to Hungryroot. I love black coffee, dark roast and cold brew agree with me and I love supporting local brands beyond just Starbucks. This is a wonderful organization and more people need to know about it! Keep up the excellent work! And thank you!.
Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Pot (600ml) What is Mizudashi? – MIZUDASHI is a cold brewing method, in which cold water is used from the beginning instead of hot water. As the brewing takes place slowly over time, the flavor intrinsic to tea leaves and coffee beans comes out.
You don’t always have to drink hot or warm coffee. Sometimes, the opposite is needed, hence why “the King of the glassware” – Hario produced yet another marvellous piece of coffee equipment. It is called Cold Brew Coffee Pot Brown and allows you to make delicious cold brew concentrate at home.
It is practical and easy to use with a pleasant design on the eye. Drink your favourite cold coffee on-the-go or at home. What’s in the box? 1 x Hario mizudashi cold brew pot (600ml) Specifications Using the Hario cold brew coffee pot brown is very simple.
It also has measurements on the pot so no extra tools are necessary. Add 50g of ground coffee and 600ml of water to create 300ml of cold brew concentrate. Leave the grounds steeping for approximately 8 – 12 hours and then combine with water.
Pour the cold brew over ice and enjoy with milk or black. The Cold Brew Coffee Pot Brown is perfect for drinking cold coffee and is great summer time treat.
We have been so amazed at what this little coffee maker can do. We own an expensive La Pavoni professional machine at home, a Bellman for our camping holidays (fantastic also, thank you Alternative Brewing) and now with our family hiking in Victoria all over the place and two kids that drink coffee (yes they drink coffee, remember caffeine is in chocolate and soft drink too!) we needed something light to replace little jars of brewed coffee we were carrying that were heavy, and needed reheating.
The Wacaco and additional bigger pod set has been the best buy. We load up the capsules for a day hike, or take some fresh ground coffee for overnight hikes. The espresso is amazing, we believe the crema is far superior to the one we make from our machine.
If you are considering this – dont think again. It is soooooo easy to use. For day hikes we take a small thermal bottle of hot water and another of heated milk. For overnight or longer hikes we take our tiny gas stove (360 degrees furno stove) and ground coffee and after a couple of minutes of heating water, we start making the coffee while the milk heats up (we use a sea to summit light weight foldable kettle).
So easy. The coffee is amazing, hot fresh and clean up is easy. We are totally thrilled with the two sets we bought. Alternative Brewing once again have provided help when needed and their advice is always spot on.
Thank you and please if you are thinking about this dont hesitate its amazing!.
Bought with the intent of taking this up the Himalayas when the pandemic is over but equally necessary as a busy ED nurse where good coffee is scarce! What a handy, easy to use, espresso maker. It makes a wonderful crema, and brews nicely.
No burnt taste, smooth, no floaty bits. Im lazy and bought pre-ground beans (my fave from interstate – Qld coffee is lacking) originally for my delter press, and they do the job well. It even has the magic ability to make average beans taste 10X better.
Have had the press now for about a month, makes the dreaded early morning shifts more tolerable – handy serving cup and portable storage makes its great for work. Easy to clean and stylish in moss green, my only gripe is the pressure it inflicts on the grind can make emptying the capsule a little tricky – but find if you let it cool completely it taps right out (opposed to hot and still soggy – its a mess.
) Do yourself a favour – get the barista kit – if you’re like me and need coffee in your life and a single shot doesn’t cut the mustard – the barista kit will help keep you sufficiently caffeinated, with the ability to make double shots.
I love my coffee , but when I go camping I’ve been settling for instant, or a cappuccino sachet, and that had to change. After some research, and advice from the very helpful Justin @ Alternative Brewing, I settled on the Wacaco Nanospresso, I *need* a double shot, so I also got the “Barista Kit” to go with it.
I like a flat white to start the day, and I know I would burn milk if I heated it over flame, so I got the Bellman steamer. Once set up the Nanospresso works great. It’s almost idiot-proof. The steamer also works exactly as it should.
But – as I said, I have one small gripe: – There is a lot of wasted plastic for a user like me who will always make a double shot. Make that 1. 5 small gripes – once the double-shot ring is added to the basic device it will only fit in the included case if you remove the cup.
Both these issues could be solved easily (and a few $ saved for the end user) if there was a simple “double shot” version available as opposed to buying extras for the regular one. As for the advice and service from Alternative Brewing – I can’t fault it, and their prices are excellent too.
Our instant Maxwell House coffee mix has a creamy and sweet French vanilla flavor that’s good to the last drop. Each stick of our Maxwell House Coffee is perfect for use on the go without a brewer Mix with cold water or milk for an easy iced vanilla latte.
Try using it as a coffee creamer too. Packaged in a six-count box of instant coffee single serving sticks for portability and convenience.
I was shocked to find that major retailers no longer stock this tasty, convenient, and affordable iced coffee. I was even more shocked and disappointed when I read here that the product is now discontinued.
I have spend hundreds of dollars purchasing any product that I can find. I have drank this iced coffee since its initial introduction many years ago; it is far superior to Starbucks over-priced offerings.
There are other alternatives to this product but none that offer the same level of convenience and low-cost. I hope Maxwell House re-evaluates the target market and realizes how many people want this product to continue.
Dunkin Donut’s recent entry into the ice coffee market shows that consumers are very interested in iced coffee products. But it’s high cost of 3 dollars per bottle is cost prohibitive to many consumers.
PLEASE re-evaluate the company’s decision to stop production of this product. The market is talking to you, so please sit back, drink a tall glass of delicious Iced Maxwell House coffee, and LISTEN TO US!.
I love this stuff and have been drinking it almost daily for about 15 years (they changed it a little bit about 8 years ago; used to be Cappuccino Coolers, I think, and those were even better, which is why I only gave this 4 stars.
But I’m still addicted!). They got very hard to find in the last year or so, only showing up sporadically at Walmart, and now I can’t find them at all. There are a lot of comments for the hazelnut flavor of this same product.
people have been told it’s discontinued, but Kraft just keeps saying it may be “in limited distribution”. This is so disappointing! Two big reasons I liked this, in addition to the taste, was that it was not artificially sweetened, and it had no partially hydrogenated oils (which their hot mixes do).
And I don’t know why, because there’s obviously a huge market for it, but there are virtually no iced coffee mixes on the market today once this one is completely gone. (I see that Maxwell House has some kind of iced coffee drops available now, but of course it’s artificially sweetened.
Yuck. ) I agree with the comments on the hazelnut flavor. why would Kraft discontinue such a popular product? Very sad.
SAKI The coffee culture is the oldest method of coffee brewing. Turkish coffee is not about the type of coffee beans, but it is the name of the coffee preparation ritual. At every sip, the coffee will give you unfiltered balanced coffee with a pleasing aroma, a good flavour, the right sweetness.
so the first 3-4 times i tried this following the directions exactly it boiled over on me. i couldnt understand why. again followed instructions exactly. i was annoyed to say the least. after cleaning up the mess i figured out you pretty much HAVE TO use the ember function.
if you ALWAYS use the ember button then select the cup count it is very consistent each time with a decent foam on top. i once again tried without the ember function and once again it boiled over if i was not standing right there to lift the cup off as soon as it got close to the top.
then went back to using the ember button and again its great each time. not sure why but it should be stated to use that every time. not as good if im honest as a real cup of turkish coffee im used to made over a burner but its pretty good and great for the amount of time and ease of it.
lets see how well it holds up over time ive seen some of the reviews on amazon saying it died on them so hopefully it lasts a good while especially for the price of it. personally i recc removing the ember button and just simply having that built into the cup count buttons regardless.
Makes an amazing 8 litres of cold brew concentrate from 2. 3kg of coffee. Comes with a lift that holds the coffee above the spigot tap. Filter papers sold separately. Best combined with the Toddy Acrylic Decanters to allow you to store coffee after brewing for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
Toddy recommends about 5 lbs of ground coffee, and a whole lot of water, but it makes a TON of cold brew. Following the recipe I ended up with just over 10 L of concentrate, for 20L of cold brew. It was plenty for serving 160 patrons at an event.
I can’t see this ever being useful at the residential level, but for a cafe or roaster looking to offer a large quantity of cold brew, it’s a great option. Very easy to use, the lift seemed to work great.
My only complaint is the expense of the filters. They are some of the priciest filters I’ve ever seen, and not very tough, mine ripped slightly at the top while preparing for the ground coffee.
I purchased one of these for my partner a while back and before long it became our main caffeine source. Any time we need to get a gift for someone we order one of these to rave review! I strongly recommend this if you love cold brew or need gift that will leave a lasting impression.
(Also, I person recommend using a dark roast but that’s just me).
Its innovative modern design and One-Touch interface let you brew, froth, and create single or double shots of espresso, lattes, cappuccinos with one touch of a button. The Progress Bar lets you know when the machine is ready to go and how your drink is progressing, while the automatic milk frother whips up your favorite milk into a light and airy foam.
With a large 18 oz. milk reservoir this espresso machine easily makes multiple cappuccinos or lattes, plus its removable for easy filling and cleaninggreat for storing leftover milk in the fridge, too! This espresso and coffee machine is compatible with sustainable Easy Serve Espresso (ESE) pods to take the guesswork out of grounds dosage and tamping.
It also includes an adjustable cup tray, single and double shot filters, measuring scoop, and tamper. Brew your coffee like a barista pro!.
I was lent one of these machines during the pandemic and I can say that it is an excellent household appliance because it is very easy to make your favorite coffee, very quickly and you get a foamy coffee with a delicious aroma and flavor.
It is a bit noisy but nothing that I deducted your work as (coffee maker)…I write this only 7 days after receiving the machine, so I can’t speak to longevity yet. Up to this point? Super nice! Based on the reviews I had read I took the time to read every word of the accompanying manual.
Sure enough, there were several steps required to “prepare” the unit before using it for the first time. I followed the instructions exactly and also followed the cleaning instructions for the entire unit.
I have been using home espresso machines, stoves and others. This is not what I would call something like intuitive. The manual is the only way to go. None of the home units I’ve owned have been heavy enough to NOT require two hands.
That filter is going to be subject to an incredible amount of pressure, and you want the filter to be very tight. It is true that most of the machine is made of plastic, so it is very light. After a learning curve, I find that the machine makes really delicious coffees.
The espresso delivers a truly delicious crema and the frothing unit delivers a lovely hot creamy foam. I am very satisfied with the machine. And regarding any negative detail I have nothing to contribute, just recommend it as a multifunctional, practical, safe and very useful machine for the home.
First of all, there’s a lot of tape when unpacking the contents. Just when I thought I had all the tape pulled off, I noticed there was tape on the back side and under the milk reservoir. So just make sure you find all of the tape before using the coffee maker.
It’s very important to pay close attention to the assembly and usage instructions. It’s not a plug and play drip-coffee machine. On the first use out of the box (running water through to clean), I ended up with water gushing everywhere.
I didn’t have the milk wand pointed toward my coffee cup! Sounds obvious but if you haven’t used this type of machine before it’s an easy mistake. Just to prove that, I did it again when making my first cappuccino.
This time milk went everywhere but in the cup. Also, it’s normal for the milk steamer to make a lot of noise. Prepare to reassure your dogs that everything is ok. My family found the milk steamer was equally good for dairy and non-dairy options, but since we all use different milks (i.
e. half and half, chocolate oat milk), we must (self)clean between usages. But if you/your family uses one type of milk you could easily store the milk container in the fridge. Getting the coffee ready is easy, but you must use an espresso (finer) grind in the porta-filter.
It does take a few tries to get the porta-filter to line up to make the coffee. Once you have the steps down, the coffee maker is very easy to use. It definitely makes coffee-house-quality drinks! If you want a coffee-house quality cup of coffee at home, this is your machine.
It does exactly what it promises — espresso, latte and cappuccino that looks, smells and tastes just like something purchased at a nearby coffee shop. My family is anxious to try adding flavored syrups and making specialty drinks.
It would be nice to use clear coffee cups to see the latte and cappuccino layers. I got the white machine (vs stainless steel) so I can’t speak to durability/longevity of the machine. The machine is self cleaning and that feature is easy to use.

Robust and full bodied Rich and bold dark roast 100% Arabica beans Single-serve cups Compatible with Keurig brewers (excluding the Vue) Community Coffee starts with the top 10% of the world’s coffee beans and then roasts them to perfection.
Alert fellow coffee snobs! If you find blonde roast coffees a too mild and dark roast coffees too harsh, then give Community Med-Dark a try. It is a great blend of medium roast with some dark roast in there also and I find it a perfect roast blend.
I have shared a few K cups this coffee with family members and they have all loved it. If you like most medium roast coffees you will love this one – it’s got a little something extra over straight medium roasts like Dunkin’ or most donut shop coffees but it is not harsh and burnt tasting.
If you are looking for a new coffee, give this one a try!.
Mizudashi Cold Brew Iced Coffee Pot/Maker (1000ml, Brown) Feature o 1000ml makes about 4-4. 5 cups of coffeeo Easy to clean, reusable filtero Easy to use pour spouto Dishwasher safeo Brown filter and handle DescriptionThe Hario Water Brew Coffee Pot is made of durable glass with a sturdy handle and easy pour spout for cold coffee enjoyment.
I have tried other cold brew coffee pots including the Abosu one. The filter on this Hario pot is more fragile and needs to be hand washed. However, it makes excellent coffee, it’s easy to use, it’s easy to clean and it’s under $50 so I give it five stars.
I will definitely try more cold brew pots from Hario in the future. I t also fits in the shelf of my fridge door which is very convenient. You may have to play with the amount of coffee and water you use but that’s always the case with cold brew pots.
There’s recipes online that are easy to find. Don’t grind the coffee too fine or it will seep through a coffee filter. I think this is a great product if you’re interested in trying cold brew and want a budget friendly option.
I had been buying cold brew from my local cafe in the warmer months and fell in love with the strength and smoothness of the coffee. I wanted the same experience at home so I did some research and wanted a simple solution that wasn’t going to be another bulky machine in my kitchen.
The Hario Cold Brew pot is the perfect solution for cold brew that is simple and easy to make. When paired with the Hario manual grinder it is straight forward and simple to make quite a bit of delicious cold brew.
The pot fits in your fridge, brews up to a litre of delicious cold brew and is easy to clean and repeat. That way you can brew, store and brew again in pretty quick succession. Allowing for a constant uninterrupted supply of cold brew.
Which if we are honest, is what all of us want to be able to do.
I have bought three smaller jugs previously. They’ve all been fantastic but break easily. We love our cold brew, but with this jug it would be great to have a deeper filter basket in order to make filling this guy as easy as it is to fill the smaller one.
When the basket is still the same size as the smaller jug it takes twice the time to get the water to drain through so as to not overflow. Not ideal, but otherwise it’s a great product. I’ll go smaller again next time however, rather than repurchasing the big boi based on ease of use.

Reviews From Real Customers
I grew up drinking Folgers’ Classic coffee — more with each kid I had. Somewhere along the line, I realized that coffee has properties that can be analyzed; I started experimenting. Eventually, I found that I’m just not a fan of “flavored” coffees; I read someone’s review of one of the flavored coffees, and she said she was going to stick with her longtime favorite, Brazil Bourbon.
So, I tried that one. I have finally found MY coffee. The 32 oz bags are on back order though; I have subscribed to the small bags but want the larger size.
I have become a big fan of Community coffee over the past 3 years. I began by purchasing your Columbian Altura ground coffee. I have tried the American Classic also. This Private Reserve whole bean Columbian is really smooth and as advertised, has a “winey” taste.
I know true coffee aficionados would gasp, but I use flavored creamer in my coffee. This Private Reserve Columbian does play well with my flavored creamer, but overall I prefer the Columbian Altura over this.
I like grinding whole bean coffee now that I have a budget grinder, because the coffee has a much better taste and is much fresher. I would like to see you all carry the Columbian Altura in whole bean 32 oz.
size. In conclusion, I would recommend this Private Reserve Columbian whole bean, so give it a try. It’s just not my overall favorite.
Everyone’s tastes are unique and I write this understanding this. I purchased this selection as a comparison to the Company’s Evangeline Blend. I feel that the Louisiana Blend is similar, but lacks the “bite” and pungency of Evangeline.
In other words, this blend is more “mellow” – It also could be described as less “brightness”. Please accept my comments as a layman, and not a connoisseur. One can’t go wrong selecting either blend.
Lightly roasted organic coffee for a chill kind of day. Just half the caff in this smooth, balanced single serving coffee packet so you can start your day strong, but not too strong Half the caffeine, but no less crave-worthy.
The perfect amount of caffeine with about 80mg per cup of locally roasted coffee in California so you can relax rn but also get through your day when you’re ready Yum in a cup. A well-balanced medium roast blend with a warm rich flavor that tastes like toasted almonds, semi-sweet chocolate, butterscotch candy, and rum raisin It’s fire by itself but tastes amazing with a splash of oat milk or chilled with some tiny ice cubes.

I’m not a fan of instant coffee, I’ve only used it for backpacking because of the convenience and no mess. Then I discovered Cusa Coffee!!! The quality is second to none!!! Not only do I use it in the backcountry, I use it at home and at work.
What I noticed first off was the smooth, delicious flavor. It’s not bitter and bitterness was my main complaint of every other instant coffee. I don’t have to add much sweetener if at all because the natural vanilla flavor shines on I it’s own.
I do suggest using a little bit of hot tap water to mix your coffee when making a iced coffee to avoid clumps. I love the fact I can recycle the packets and ship them back by using the reusable shipping bag they send your product in.
I have it hanging in my kitchen so I can collect my empty packets. Either hot or cold, work or play. Cusa Coffee of my go to.
I had this as a hot drink with super hot water. But when I took my first sip I wasn’t sure what to think. I could taste the pepper right away, but there was a sweetness in the background. With every sip this grew on me and grew in me.
I will say this is a VERY good coffee. I’m a HUGE coffee SNOB and I don’t normally do instant coffee because I don’t like it. But this Dirty Chai is really good and I plan to place an order but they are unfortunately sold out.
I will say one thing I would do with this coffee is add more caffeine to it. I’d say in the ballpark of 175mg per drink instead of the 130mg that is in it. That’s the ONLY thing I would tween about it.
Im excited to say I have a few more flavors left to try in my Sample Flight that I look forward to trying over the next few days!.
I love all the flavors but Mocha is my favorite. The Mocha is so versatile. I drink it hot, cold and in a smoothy. I make ithe Mocha n large quanity. Of which I freeze some in an ice cube tray. I use some cubes in a blender to blend with milk and an instant breakfast beverage mix for a delicious frosty thick nutritional beverage.
I also keep a large container of cold Mocha coffee beverage in the refrigerator for an iced Mocha. The cold Mocha is poured over the frozen Mocha cubes for a delicious beverage not watered down by melting ice.

I absolutely love it! Getting ready to order more. If I had to give my review a title it would be; Move Over Hot And Bitter Coffee. Here Comes the Big Train!! TOOT!!!! TOOT!!!.
The Toddy cold-brew system has a devoted following of coffee aficionados. The exclusive method extracts the natural flavors of coffee while leaving behind undesirable bitter acids and oils. The result is a robust, ultrasmooth coffee with an unforgettable pure taste.
Makes concentrated cold-brewed coffee or tea that stores in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Produces a beverage that is naturally low in acid – cold-brewed coffee is approximately 67% less acidic than coffee brewed by conventional hot-brew methods.
Dilute the concentrate one cup at a time to your preferred strength. Serve either with hot steaming water or cold water over ice. Includes brewing container with handle, glass decanter with lid, two reusable filters, rubber stopper, instructions and a recipe guide.
Inspired by tall cold brew towers in stylish coffee shops, the Bruer Cold Brew System brings drip cold brew coffee to the home setting in a simple and beautiful ways. Slow-Drip Cold Brew – Cold brew coffee brewed with a slow drip, rather than immersion.
Adjustable Drip Rate – An adjustment rod allows you to choose the drip rate that best matches your grind size and time goals. Multiple Filters – The Bruer works with aeropress paper filters but with steel and mesh filters.
Low Acidity And Bitterness – Cold brew coffee naturally extracts less acidic and bitter compounds, producing a smoother, more gentle beverage.
I used decaf single origin beans for my first brew. A little over 5 hours later, the first few sips were like drinking silk! I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a smoother coffee! I used the refrigerated brew to make a latte the next day – again, silky smooth texture and the chocolaty notes of the single origin Mexican bean sing through the milk! The unit was easy enough to put together – recommend it for a no-nonsense cold drip system that delivers a sensational brew!.
