Naturally processed in Thailand without preservatives or additives Made from the pressing of fresh, ripe coconut meat Natural fresh sweetness from coconut meat; no added sugar or use of coconut extract Perfect for everyday cooking and as a non-dairy substitute for milk or cream It is essential in Thai curries and peanut satay, and in many soups, beverages and sweets.
I contacted this company to determine if they use monkey labor for this product. The response I received deliberately misdirected me by linking me to their article regarding transparency in their supply chain.
This article had zero information that could be used to determine whether monkey labor is utilized. When I tried asking again and clarified that I had read over their transparency article; they refused to respond.
Others have also reported that this company has ignored the same inquiry. It’s pretty obvious what they are hiding in my opinion. I will not ever purchase this product as long as there is any doubt as to whether they use monkey labor and I will actively advocate against it.
Trader Joe’s coconut milk does not involve monkey labor. They had no problem responding quickly and without any ambiguity regarding this issue.
I cook and bake with coconut milk a lot, and have tried a bunch of different brands. This one definitely has the best texture and flavor, and most importantly, the taste of coconut is the most distinctive.
Some brands barely taste like coconut at all, and when you open the can even after shaking it, the contents are separated or congealed. But Thai Kitchen always has a smooth, creamy texture and a strong flavor that really comes through, particularly in baking, where it really counts.
I just made a coconut rice pudding, which came out amazing, and last week a coconut cake using just the coconut milk in the cake and in the frosting and no coconut extract, and it imparted a lovely coconut flavor to each that was natural, without having to resort to artificial flavoring.
On the fertile island nation of Sri Lanka dedicated farmers tend thousands of acres of organic coconut palms to create this organic coconut milk. We press the meet of these fresh organic coconuts to yield an oil rich extract adding only pure filtered water.
It is perfect in soups curries sauces desserts and beverages lending its creamy goodness to classic ethnic and regional dishes. It contains no guar or other additives. If separation of this milk should occur this is quite normal.
Looking for a delicious, dairy-free, gluten-free alternative for vegan cooking and baking? Look no further. Our Thai Kitchen Coconut Cream is thicker and creamier than coconut milk, making it the perfect ingredient for extra-rich curries, incredibly moist baked goods and delectable drinks.
Use our Thai Coconut Milk to effortlessly enhance your Asian meals by delivering luxuriously creamy sauces and stews your guests will find irresistible. Ingredients: Coconut, Water, & Guar Gum.
I used to buy thai kitchen coconut cresm all the time for dairy free whipped cream. Now I have several cans that I cannot use because they no longer separate properly and they DO NOT WHIP ANYMORE. I have had them in the refrigerator for three days and they are still not separating and will not whip up.
It seems that the new addition of guar gum to the cans is preventing separation and whipping! I will NOT be buying these again EVER!.
i bought this and made ice cream and it tasted awful. i thought it was the Monkfruit i used so i made a batch without Monkfruit and it still tasted horrible. i washed it down the drain. It tasted like it had gasoline or something in it.
I do love this product. The coconut milk is so good, the price is good, too! My favorite coconut milk for making desserts. So creamy! I recommend buying this at Asian grocery. It will be cheeper than others.
Chaokoh is enslaving monkeys and forcing them to go up and get coconuts. Either read up on this cruelty, or use your imagination as to if they’re breeding monkeys for this, how they’re forced up to pick, etc.
Please everyone – don’t buy Chaokoh, until they have stopped hurting animals. Thank you very much.
Coconut Milk Powder is loaded with vitamins, minerals, energy-stimulating fatty acids (MCTs) and is an excellent source of dietary fiber. Coconut Milk is a great and healthy alternative to the traditional dairy & sugar creamers.
It’s organic and super easy to make! Just mix KOS Coconut Milk Powder with water in a blender and pour into your coffee. Or add one serving (1 scoop) to your favorite dish or drink for a nutritious boost.
I really like this product! I am on my 3rd tub and have a backup ready. I needed to add healthy fats into my diet. My goal was to stay away from aluminum, even though, yes, this is in plastic. (Too bad KOS doesn’t do a mason jar type glass bottle recycling program — hint hint.
) Anyhow, the coconut milk powder is pure and wonderful. I had thought to use it in soups and every time I wanted a tasty addition to a recipe. (They have a recipe online to turn the powder into milk).
I find however that my favorite use is simply to add a few Tablespoons to my morning smoothie. I highly recommend it and am even thinking of gifting it. Will definitely keep on buying. So very happy to have found it! — I remember reading a review of this powder being really dry & lumpy, hard to use.
Personally, I keep the moisture packets (already inside) in the container and upon first few uses, shake the tub (lid tightly sealed, of course) to help break up any powder clumps that may be in there.
After that, I rarely need to shake it. It’s really easy to store and use. Mind you, I do use it daily. It’s not just sitting intermittently on the shelf. Last word: delicious!.
I’ve never had coconut milk powder before, so I wasn’t absolutely certain what to expect. That said, I did think it would at least thicken my teas like a creamer. I had to use multiple scoops of this powder to make the water in my tea even just a little cloudy.
Also, I’m not sure how long the powder was sitting in the plastic container, but it kind of made my drink taste like plastic. I ordered the expensive organic version to counteract the potential harmful chemicals, but if I’m putting leeched plastic into my food, I would say this product is way overpriced.
This is simple the best tasting coconut milk powder I have tired out of about 6-7 different brands. I searched for coconut milk powder without extra stuff in it – like maltodextrin or tapioca something-or-other.
Kos coconut milk powder has nothing extra added – Yay! I add the powder to baked goods if a creamy taste is needed for a dairy-free treat, sprinkle it over berries on a waffle and use it in place of dairy milk for cereal or a smoothie.
We whisk it into warm or hot water to make milk (maybe a tbsp. per ½ cup?). Yummy.
Simple means it contains no guar, making it the perfect option for those with digestive sensitivities to the additive. Instead, this rich, creamy non-dairy alternative is made purely from organic coconut and purified water.
Nutricost’s Coconut Milk Powder – Coconut Milk powder is a popular cooking ingredient that is used in Southeast Asian and other cuisines. Coconut Milk Powder is great as a coffee creamer, soups, curries, puddings, sauces, ice cream, smoothies or as a great substitute for most baked goods that use milk.
This organic powder offers a great cooking option to increase consistency and thickness of dishes. It is also delicious on its own as light coconut milk or coconut cream when mixed with warm water.
You’d literally be better off just buying a giant bag of fresh biodegradable packing peanuts, and dropping those in your coffee. (That’s sarcasm, in that you shouldn’t eat non-food-grade biodegradable packing peanuts even if it does in reality taste exactly the same.
) If you’ve ever eaten maltodextrin-based “dietary fiber” powder, or aforementioned biodegradable packing peanuts, you’ll immediately recognize the very distinctive taste and texture of maltodextrin.
That’s literally all my batch of this product was. It was literally all or mostly maltodextrin. (And to be fair, biodegradable packing peanuts don’t actually taste horrible. ) To be fair, a little maltodextrin in otherwise pure coconut milk powder wouldn’t be a bad thing, to make it less clumpy and a little easier to mix.
But they either grossly overdid it out of greed, or my batch was made after the coconut powder bin ran out. And if you’ve ever had the equally distinct, buttery smooth, clumpy, “moist”-feeling, nutty flavor of coconut powder, you’d know there was none detectable in the batch I got.
Also, this is about twice the price of other brands on amazon, of 100% pure organic coconut milk powder. So absolutely do not waste your time or money on this. (Note: In a double-blind scientific test I’m an actual “super taster”.
Not all that rare, but at least legit. That doesn’t mean I’m always right or have better opinions – it’s just that it might be worth noting in this context. ).
I bought this coconut powder to replace my previous one. Both of them were good, but the Nutricost powder is the only one I could find on the Amazon market that is: curbside recyclable, vegan, and organic.
Many of them are vegan and organic, but this Nutricost one is unique in that it can be freely recycled at curbside. Most of the coconut milk powders on the market come in bags that are not curbside recyclable, which means hardly anyone can recycle them (although you can recycle anything with Terracycle Zero Waste Boxes, which I use).
The price of this product is fair, and average with what you would pay for a similar product on Amazon. The flavor of Nutricosts’ powder is very rich and creamy. The texture is nice and soft. Mixing it requires one of these things: 1.
) Blender Bottle (with mixing ball), 2. ) Hot Liquid, or 3. ) Blender. I’ve used 1 and 2 exclusively, and it works very well as a milk substitute for my protein shakes (Vega is the best one on the market).
It also works very well as a coffee creamer. You can use this in cooking, but as I’m new to this product and don’t cook often, I doubt I’ll see that for a long time. The taste is great when you mix it appropriately.
It is not overly nutty, and really adds rich creamy flavor and texture to beverages. I will update this review if anything changes, but this is an excellent product and I recommend it highly. Try this out, as it’ll help save: 1.
) Time, 2. ) Energy (no more lugging around heavy milk bottles), 3. ) Environment, and 4. ) Animal cruelty.
When I was looking at various coconut milk powders, I specifically wanted a powder with the least amount of additives and no dairy products. I checked out the Nutricost 2lb Coconut milk powder and the ingredient list was perfect – just coconut milk.
As I wanted to try out the product I chose the lesser quantity 1lb option, assuming (wrongly) that it would be identical to the 2lb one. When it arrived I noticed that the ingredients in the 1lb container are not the same – there is coconut milk, maltodextrin, and sodium caseinate (a milk protein).
As I am dairy intolerant, this was really annoying to discover. As the front labels on the 2lb and 1lb containers are identical you’d expect the product to be the same.

Assorted Coconut Milk with Authentic Asian Flavors
Add to sautéed veggies and pour over noodles. Heat with cooked lentils for a quick and tasty dahl. Now it’s easy to give your favorite soups, stews and sauces an authentic Asian flair with Native Forest Organic Curry Coconut Milk.
This product doesn’t separate. It would be nice to buy a coconut cream that is not half water like most cans of coconut cream, but at least usually the cream part can be lifted out and whipped for dairy-free whipped cream, or used in a recipe.
But this product doesn’t separate even in the fridge, so it’s all one thinnish milky liquid. Use it like that or not at all.
I was so excited to find the Native Forest Organic Coconut Milk on your website. I love this kind to because it is organic, and it does not contain any guar gum or any other type of additive. It’s a 100% natural.
The fact that purchasing from Vitacost is actually cheaper than in my grocery store is wonderful! Thank you for providing so many healthy items for your customers.
This is the best unsweetened coconut milk out there (I have tried others when I could not find this one), and Dr. Davis, Wheat Belly author, highly recommends it. The ingredients are very clean, no junk.
I highly recommend Native Forest Organic Coconut Milk. I always by unsweetened one; don’t know if there’s one with sugar. But sugar is so bad for one’s health. Most health conscious people these days know how disastrous sugar has on health.
This is the first time I’ve tried this brand of coconut milk and it doesn’t disappoint me. The consistency, flavor and taste are no less than the brands I used. Made chicken coconut soup and coconut rice.
Besides, its economical. Free home delivery also saves me time.
I used this to make a Filipino dessert called ginataan bilo bilo. It isn’t creamy. The fat separated and it tasted like coconut water not coconut milk. I threw the rest of the cans out after that. If you want canned coconut milk, don’t buy this one.
This is an awesome product. I use this all the time when I am making curry. Then a few months ago someone said they made cake frosting with this. It was so easy. I just put the coconut milk in the fridge for a few hours, took it out, added sugar, whipped it, and it made frosting.
What an amazing dairy free alternative. Everyone loved it. And I recently read that you can add different flavours if you aren’t a huge fan of the coconut flavour. You can add vanilla, cardamom, chocolate, literally any flavour you want.

Okay, let’s start my admiring that the jar is made from glass, and how pretty the packaging is lol I have always been a fan of using coconut oil. When used consistently, coconut oil can soften and repair damaged hair, bring buoyancy and life back to skin, clear acne, fade dark spot, remove dark circles, cure minor cuts and scrapes, fade bruises, quickly heals burns, moisturizes the worst of dry feet, cures and removes cradle cap in babies, removes and eats away makeup off the face, eating 1 tblsp relieves heartburn, and soo many other things.
But I’ve never had a coconut oil as amazing as this brand!! It’s super easy to get into the jar and scoop out what you need. It absorbs into the skin better than other brands. It makes a wonderful oil for cooking.
I am absolutely in love. If y’all don’t use coconut oil. You should definitely try it.
Aroy-D is one of the best known brands of coconut milk in the world and is appreciated for its quality and full creamy taste. 100% natural. Without fragrances, colors and flavors. Perfect in a curry, smoothie or dessert.
Why have the ingredients changed. ? Before it was 60% coconut and 40% water which was a better consistency and healthy. Why is Polysorbate 60 now in this product, which is bad for us? There was one store, here in Kelowna which still carried the original product and ingredients and now that store has changed to this new product.
What gives? Is this a money thing? We want healthy not processed chemicals.
I use this for soupy type Asian desserts (Che) or for curry dishes. It is thinner than the cream. The taste is very mild, so if you are looking for a stronger coconut flavoring, you will need to add something else.
This is more for adding that liquid and light sweetness to the Asian dessert.

In response to IRMA’s question: “Why the proposition 65 warning?” I couldn’t tell you why the warning, but I am super sensitive to everything. I bought this product because of the simple ingredients and was sure it was okay.
it made me miserable. I tried it 3 times just to be sure I wasn’t mistaken. I gave it away baffled because I saw no other reason to have a problem.
Excellent product for the vegan that doesn’t want to be soaking cashews to make a cheese sauce. You can use a 1 to 1 ratio in place of the cashews. Add a tablespoon to your oatmeal too for a creamy texture.
Blends welland gi es whatever iit is added to a creamy taste. Highly recommend!.
Economical way to purchase coconut milk. Instead of purchasing cans, this will last a long time. Made a rutabaga coconut soup yesterday and placed about 2 tsps of this along with remaining ingredients in blender instead of a can of coconut milk.
