Best Christian Books For Teenagers (2025 Updated)

I got this for my niece who had many questions about our faith. She was excited to get started. I pray she come back with faith to our religion.

These bibles are great for teens and young adults. Easy to use.

I purchased this book for myself. I have recently found my catholic faith again and buying this bible was a great starting point!

The NIV Bible for Teen Girls has plenty of features to help the user grow closer to God. First of all lets take a look at the cover it’s very sturdy and should withstand years of use. The first thing I always check is to see if there is a presentation page and this one does and it includes a scripture verse.

Some of the features of this Bible include character profiles of women of the Bible detailed book introductions highlighted promises of God daily devotional readings titled Growing in Faith hope and love.

Along with these features there is also a concordance a table of weight and measures along with a topical index. I have to say one of my favorite features of this Bible had to be reading about the women of the Bible it was nice learning what their names mean and I like that there is also reference for where to find her story in the scripture.

I found myself using the index in order to skip right to this feature so that I could read about the many women of the Bible. I think the subtitle of this Bible is really appropriate because who doesn’t want their teen daughter or granddaughter to grow in faith hope and love! A cute soothing green that is very eye appealing I think this is a Bible that any teen would be proud to use and carry to weekly Bible study or wherever they decide to use it! Quite pretty on the outside and filled with faith growing information on the inside.

I still have the same Bible I owned in my teens. It’s dog-eared and pages are falling out. There are little pieces of paper and memories that tucked away between it’s pages. While my Bible is special to me, to my children it’s worn out and they wanted their own Bibles to grow up with and call their own.

The “NIV Bible For Teen Girls” is a New International Version of the Bible designed for teen girls living in today’s world. I love that it is a hard covered edition. The hard cover makes it perfect for packing on week-end retreats and taking to church.

Often the pages in Bibles are super thin, the pages in this Bible have a thicker feel to them. They don’t tear as easily as my old Bible. Each Book of the Bible has a brief introduction that covers 4 key points: 1) When Did This Happen? 2) Who Is In This Book? 3) Verses You Might Recognize 4) What’s it About? I love this introduction.

It helps set the book up in my mind. The “What’s It About?” is especially helpful as it describes what the Book is about. My initial thoughts were that some of these explanations could be reworded a bit to make it easier to understand.

For example in the overview for Genesis it talks about how God made a covenant with Abraham, when I was in my teens I didn’t really understand what a covenant was. In contrast, the overview for the Book of Psalms describes the different kinds of psalms you’ll find and provides examples.

As the reader grows in faith and begins to understand the scriptures more and more, these overviews will take on more meaning each time they are read. Perhaps they are written as they are so that this Bible will be one that you will keep with you well beyond your teen years.

There are Daily Readings tucked within the pages. Covering a wide range of topics that are relevant to today’s teens. You will find the traditional devotions about Making a difference, Power of Words and Loving Yourself, but you will also find tougher topics like Abstinence and the O.

Bought this for my granddaughter. We put tabs in for each book in the Bible and then put it in a zippered carry case. She loved it! The way the information for each book is presented and how amplifying info is provided makes it a winner!.

This bible is leather bound and beautiful. Page edge is silver. This is a high end bible, very nice. Very cool and modern looking. It’s black, leather is very soft, silver rivets – two on the front, two on the back, cleverly concealed pockets on the front & back too.

Worth the extra money to get something nicer than the paperback or even the hardcover. I got it as a gift to my 15 yr old son. Stories for teens to relate to are relavent for today. Every book of the bible has an introduction page w/ lots of info on the time period, the author of the book, setting, key people & key points.

Also there is a Timeline that runs chronologically on each intro page through out the entire bible. Everything that you loved about the Life Application Study Bible is here, updated and some extras as well.

Even though I am not a teenager, I have found this study bible to be very helpful in understanding and applying his word to my life. Every time I read it I learn something new. I have read the Bible before but couldn’t get the meat out of it and this study Bible with all its study aides helps me to really understand.

At times I really don’t want to put it down for I am finally able to apply God’s word into my life.

Excellent Bible an nothing lacking in information. Easy format to understand. Love the verse on the front and colour. No complaints from me.

These daily devotions are geared for teen boys, written by other teen boys. Every topic is of interest to them or issues they may be dealing with. Bible verses are short enough to keep their attention but long enough to gain insight from the daily reading.

Each day has its own date so they always know where to read. A daily devotion usually takes about 3-4 minutes. Any kid has time for that!.

Got this as an Easter gift for my 14 year old Godson. He has been reading it and says he can understand the devotional messages which is usually difficult for a teen

I bought this for my grand-daughter, tho I did not read the whole book I did like what I did see. I wanted something she could start her day off with and what better way than with this book of devotions.

I love this author and believe she has done a wonderful job expressing to teens how our minds can lead us into wrong thinking and destroy our future. She lines up scripture with the right and wrong things teens are doing.

Reading the way she lays it out helps teens understand what can and does happen when they live only for the flesh. I would love if our schools could give our children the choice to learn this at a small age, their lives would be so much easier to live and handle.

God bless all who read this and favor them so they will feel the need to buy for the teen in their lives. Try looking at the Battlefield of the Mind for kids, age appropriate to comprehend.

Joyce is the best! Read this book to my kids while our family was driving to vacation. One interrupted me to recite a bible verse! Very compelling content; relevant to younger and older teens. Think about what you are thinking about!.

This is a must read for all teenagers and youth. It is through the doorway of the mind that good or bad behavior is contemplated and planned. The Battlefield is the Mind and Meyer and Hafer present a good Bible based and common sense approach to this most important topic.

The teenagers I have given the book to read have seen improvements in their thought lives.

This is a really helpful book for young people to understand Catholic Doctrine. The “flip book” animation in the corner is fun too. We buy these every year for our Confirmation students.

This book is easy to read and a great refresher of the catechism of the church for all adults.

Bought this for my son. Great book to help them with their prayers, and building their relationship with God. The content is on their level and really speaks to them and addresses issues teens have in the early years of life.

I have read several of her books and shared them with family and friends. I had never gotten the teen one just in time. I needed it. Wow!!!!

Yes, yes, YES! Finally, someone in my generation is standing up and saying, “I’m not going to bend to all the spiritual shallowness, apathy, and complacency in the American church. Come join me in rejecting the status quo.

” How refreshing! Sara Barratt’s passionate heart for Christ makes her a rare gem in our generation. And her book is truly for such a time as this when many, including myself, have been discouraged and appalled at the state of the church.

Even though last year I committed to pursuing Christ more intentionally, Sara has really convicted and challenged me to keep going deeper in my walk with the Lord. Due to chronic health issues, I haven’t finished the book yet.

But what I’ve read thus far has been so excellent that I highly recommend Love Riot without any doubts to anyone. Although the message is tailored for teens, I think it’s still perfect for twenty-somethings (like myself) and even for older people because the core message is what every generation needs.

On a final note, my ruthless inner editor has been virtually silent on this book-a rarity indeed for me! Sara’s writing is stellar and has a pleasing rhythm. It’s easy to read, yet sparks a lot of deep thought and soul-searching.

Love Riot is a fantastic book that will both inspire and convict. It’s a book our generation definitely needs. Sara dispels the idea that Christianity should be easy or convenient–and rightly points us back to what Jesus says: following Him isn’t comfortable, but it’s worth it.

She cuts away the distractions to bring us back to the core message of the gospel that teenagers, and really all of us, need to hear. Church isn’t about youth group games. It’s not about flashy entertainment or inspirational messages.

It’s not about making yourself look good. It’s not a box on a checklist. It’s about Jesus–something we forget shockingly often. One of the great strengths of Sara’s writing is its relatability. As teenagers, we often feel like we’re not expected to be seriously committed.

The book shows teenagers that we don’t have to, and shouldn’t, wait to go all in. We can do it right now–even if the world can’t understand. “Some people might say we’re wasting our youth–and our lives–by not conforming to cultural norms.

Sara does a great job of making these relevant and showing us what a life pursuing Jesus looks like. All in all, it was a great read that constantly made me think. I hope more teenagers read this book and consider their own priorities.

I bought two of this book for my granddaughters for Easter. They are11 and 9. This book is perfect for young readers learning about Jesus. There is nothing too heavy in it, making it a great first introduction to who Jesus is.

It has lovely thought provoking statements. I would recommend this book for all ages for it’s up-lifting message.

I am enjoying Because Jesus. It has been such a blessing to me and a wonderful keepsake and constant reminder that God is. And, He is faithful. My mother introduced this book to me and others in our extended family when she gave this as a simple — yet profound and life-changing — Christmas gift.

She raved about how good it is, and I couldn’t agree more. I sat down and read it in one sitting over the holidays, and since then, I’ve purchased many copies and passed along this gift to family members, friends, colleagues and fellow church members (including my pastors and some associate ministers at my church).

In fact, I often frequent many area Kroger and Hallmark stores to clean them out of available copies. And, my list continues to grow of others with whom I will share this work! The author’s efforts in penning this book have not been in vain and they are far reaching.

I bought this 2 copies of this book for a Birthday gift over a year ago. I gave one away and completely forgot about the other. Then I began looking after my 6 year old granddaughter. We made it a habit to start our day with prayer.

Then one day I noticed this book on my bookshelf. I flipped through it and found it combined the truth of God’s love with some surprises that will make you laugh out loud! It really can be a joy for people of all ages.

The six year old has memorized several of the pages and shouts them out as she dissolves in giggles. It is one of her (and my) favorite books. I went online and bought four more of these to give to other grandchildren.

IšverstiShow in original languageWhat an absolutely wonderful book to read to my grandkids before bed. We read Devotion 1 and my grandson is already quoting it back at me – how God made everything from nothing at the very beginning.

The book is true and faithful to the Bible, as well as providing interesting (and sometimes gooey) nature facts. And all the while each devotion reminds us of how powerful and creative God is, as well as His incredible love for us, and how He is there to listen to us and support us, when things are going wrong.

The book also reminds us how we can please God – and also how we can make Him sad, if we do ‘not nice’ things to others.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought these books with the intention of giving them to specific children. However, I started to read one of them just to see if it was a good choice of gifts. After reading a number of the devotions, I decided to keep one copy and use it for a personal devotion.

Looks like I will have to buy an additional copy for the child it was intended for. Not only a great children’s book but also a great adult book. P. S. I am 81 years old so it is a good devotional for the elderly.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS DEVOTIONAL We here the phrase How Great Is Our God all of the time, we sing the song, we talk about it, and now we have a devotional that kids can read about the greatness of our God.

This Devotional has 200 indescribable devotions that go through the Bible with amazing stories of God. The devotions are on a child’s level, they are short, there are pictures on the pages that go with what the kids are reading.

Another thing with each devotion is a section that says HOW GREAT. I think this section is great for the kids because it is a scientific fact about something that goes along with the devotions. Like one of the devotions talk about Butterflies and the scientific facts are about Butterflies.

Which I found amazing because it’s something I’d never heard! So you can see adults can benefit from this great book as well. This is a really great book of devotions. The book itself is beautiful with its blue cover and the globe with all of the kids at different places in the world.

And as you can see in the pictures that the inside is just as attractive, with pictures of kids and they are pictures that will capture any kids attention. If you are looking for a new devotions for the kids in your life, this would make an amazing Christmas gift or stocking stuffer! Though it says it’s for ages 6-10, I know younger kids that would love these devotions read to them.

my husband reads this book to our son and foster son every morning before school. They all (including my husband!) enjoy it thoroughly, as it has so much interesting stuff in it! It is well made, and could probably be read more than once just because there is so much information to absorb.

I would definitely recommend to any family. Our ten year old loved it, but all ages find it interesting!.

Very intriguing science devotionals! For instance, who knew that there were cenotes in Mexico– underground caves filled with water, that can be used for swimming and diving. When archaeologists dive in, they find fossil treasures.

And when we dive into God’s word, we can find treasure–discoveries about God, answers to tough problems, or promises of God’s love. All the science details are intriguing even to me, and I am looking forward to seeing how my science-loving grandson will enjoy the book.

The Wonder of Creation: 100 More Devotions About God and Science is a great devotional for elementary school aged children. Each devotion includes: Bible verse, interesting facts about the animals and earth and how they relate to God, a short prayer and a Explore Section.

They are only two pages, making it easier for the younger ones to through. I thought it was great. The Wonder of Creation: 100 More Devotions About God and Science is illustrated by the talented Nicola Anderson.

I loved how each colorful and vibrant picture follows the book perfectly. I thought they were a great addition to help make the it flow even better. I am giving The Wonder of Creation: 100 More Devotions About God and Science a very well deserved five plus stars.

I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of six and ten years of age. I think this would make a beautiful gift for the younger readers. The titled chapters begin with a Bible quotation from Old or New Testament from the International Children’s Bible or the Easy to Read Version followed by the short article, illustrated examples of, then a brief prayer and another illustration of Explore The Wonder.
