20 Best Chorus Pedal For Guitar (2023 Updated)

I absolutely love this chorus. Fantastic attention to detail and a wide array of excellent chorus sounds. When I bought this, I was looking for a chorus that could nail a few different tones, including Prince’s chorus sound from Purple Rain.

Happy to say this pedal can nail that sound exactly along with a whole host of other chorus sounds. Works great clean but also plays well with lots of fuzz and distortion. Possibly relevant: aside from my Eventide Eclipse and a host of rack fx, I have two big pedalboards with a variety of phasers, flangers, delays, etc – I am most definitely an effects junky.

This chorus has had a permanent place on one of those pedalboards for a year now and I don’t see it going anywhere!.

Great sounding chorus, enormously versatile. The criticisms of it sounding too flanger-like are misplaced. Its stock settings DO have a flanger-like swirl to them, which I dislike, but it is easily eliminated by increasing the delay time a little in the Neuro app.

This pedal has all sorts of properly great and authentic chorus tones including a decent JC120 approximation (albeit that the Roland works by having a dry signal in one side of the stereo field). The app is dodgy on an android phone but works fine on an ipad and has a large number of adjustable parameters.

Great value for money too. For reference I have a TC SCF, a Dr Scientist Cosmichorus v3 and a couple of others and it holds its own in that company.

I really wanted to love this pedal, but couldn’t. The lay out (nice & easy to set-up) and having a tone control was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the actual “sound” of the chorus.

To me, it seemed to have a “flanger / phaser” type artifact to it which I really didn’t care for. To me, it isn’t a natural sounding chorus.

This pedal is cool but kind of strange. The overall effect is very mild through clean instruments but is very noticable with distortion. It boosts your signal a bit which will cut your volume if you switch it off in the middle of a song.

The white knob does reshape your mid range tone which can either add an extra layer to shape your eq or diminish your eq altogether. This knob always reshapes your tone in this manner regardless of what the other knobs are at.

One major benefit to this is that it seems to polish your tone a bit. The difference was extremely obvious when I tested this through my full bore pedal. This is worth having but it’s more of a secondary effect pedal.

If you need something to go with your distortion/reverb pedal combo and don’t want something generic, this is a good choice.

First impression is that this pedal is pretty damn adorable; seriously, it’s the smallest pedal I own (being a bass player, I don’t use too many) and seems to be built well. When I first started playing with it, I was worried because the pedal seemed to pretty heavily muffle my bass, and I wasn’t hearing much in the “wah” department.

Had to fiddle with the dials a bit, but once you get the hang of them, this thing gets a pretty wicked little sound out. While I can’t exactly say it’s the best auto-wah you can find out there, for the money, it’s solid and gives your bass a good, punchy wah effect when properly adjusted.

Overall, at worst, it’s not the best wah sound you can find on the market (you’re gonna have to shell out more cash for that), but at best, it’s still a fun pedal if you’re looking to incorporate a little light funk bass into your set.

And for the price, I can’t not recommend it. This bass player approves!.

I suppose for a specific type of sound for someone this could suffice. I have other options and have used other inexpensive distortion units for decades. Just lacks Sonic character, dynamics and didn’t add anything positive to my sound.

I DO really like their volume/wah mini pedal. they are all well-made and terrific. I wanted to support this product but it was a disappointment. Do your reviews carefully before deciding.

Okay fuzz pedals are NOT all the same by far! They may as well be different pedals. (The term Fuzz is not generic. ) I bought this one due to a YouTube review. Does it sound like it did in a video? No of course not.

That all depends on how they record etc. Even an acoustic sound has to come through a mic, which you probably EQ, because you want your playing to sound good. Plus no one is likely to have the same rig as you.

After a while you get to hear the pedal’s basic effect and can imagine how it will sound with your rig, not that you always get it right. I honed in on the more subtle settings of this pedal, they sounded sweet and controllable in the vid, I wanted to get a sixties feel but not so in your face.

This panned out, the pedal on subtle settings moves all your sweet spots around, where it makes some progressions sound great, when dry they are just so, so. Indeed, via the new sweet spots, it takes you in new directions, but yes subtle.

This on both my clean and driven channels, placed in front of the amp not in the effects loop, it’s great on both channels, but obviously a different result. Turn it up and you get big Fuzz, I don’t have a use for that personally and or the octave? I’d rather use my amp’s drive which I love, and colour it subtly.

It’s VERY well made; the tone is indeed tone not just more of the same. Input, output and power on the top, as it should be!!!! This so you can put the pedals closer. Easy to match the volume to the dry signal.

And it’s cheap! I’m very happy it did what I wanted. The other fuzz that caught my attention was in the new Gibson affordable range. The modern feel setting is pretty cool! For context, the other fuzzes I tried were Boss via the ME 80 pedal board, which I couldn’t find a use for, and a cheap one, can’t remember the name but it was rubbish.

As ever it’s a journey! No quick fix.

I was a little skeptical of these cheaper Fender pedals, since I own alot of high end boutique pedals. But I was looking for something simple to use and at a great price. Fender knocked it out of the park with the Hammerone line.

Don’t let the price fool you they are a high quality good sounding addition to your board. And they actually look pretty cool. For the price and quality you will not be disappointed, I highly recommend them as a matter of fact I got 3 of them.

I’ve been playing electric guitar for a year and have a Marshall amp with an overdive button but I wanted a pedal so I can switch on the overdrive mid way through a song. This pedal is an affordable price for someone like me that has a fairly inexpensive guitar.

I did not want to pay more for a pedal than I did the guitar. The overdrive sound that it creates is much fuller and richer than the one that my amp generates with it. Very pleased all round.

I was recently using one pedal board for all my guitars, and the chorus I had was mainly designed for use with acoustic guitar. Now I’m rearranging things to have one board just for my electric guitars and all I needed was a basic chorus pedal of quality build and tone.

I knew from reviews the JHS 3 series was perfect for me. I’ve been playing for 57 years and have owned pedals in the $100 to $500 range to provide my chorus effects. No matter if I had mulitple options in some stomp boxes I usually settled on a good subtle setting, so I knew there was no need for me to get anything fancier than the JHS.

It sounds are good as the little blue Boss Chorus I bought way back in 1980.

I was looking for a cheaper reverb pedal to add to my new mini pedalboard, and these JHS 3 Series pedals came up in my search. I watched a ton of videos, and they sounded amazing, so I figured that I’d give the reverb a try.

Plugging it in, I was blown away!! It’s such a sweet sounding digital reverb, with a toggle switch for pre-delay, which was an added bonus. I compared it next to my Catalinbread Talisman, which I love, and it kept right up no problem.

I also tried it next to a TC Electronic Hall Of Fame 2, and that pedal sounded like garbage next to the JHS 3 Series. This whole experience has made me super curious about their other 3 Series selections, after hearing how great they sound.

I am a huge jhs fan, and I’ve owned 4 of their pedals now. First issue I’ve ever had. When I pulled the pedal out of the box it felt cheap. A lot cheaper than the “cheap” price it cost. But since I love jhs so much I gave the benefit of the doubt.

All that came out was a sputtering sound as the volume dropped in and out. The same problem no matter where the knobs and switch were set. But there’s a reason AMS is my go to seller. They immediately started a return for me.

I had high hopes for the 3 series and was let down. But still love jhs and still love AMS!.

I saw the Behringer UC200 chorus pedal reviewed on YouTube, along with several other makes of chorus pedal, at a wide range of prices. It compared favourably with many of the expensive models. It has a classic chorus effect, with level, tone, rate (speed) and depth controls, and is very easy to use.

It is widely available at a price between 20 and 30, which is really cheap! I bought it for my nephew, and was so impressed I bought one for myself. I own other Behringer products and find them totally reliable.

Lol wow, i had wanted to try these super cheap Behringer pedals for awhile but after seeing the JHS pedals video on YouTube about them i thought id give one a go. In the video i thought they sounded ok.

I should mention i have a good amount of high end as well as more budget pedals. Anyways the pedal itself is heavier than i thought it would be cause it has a block of pot metal on the bottom to weigh it down with as well as to give the pedal something to ground too.

As far as the tone goes though its just absolutely awful. It barley effects the signal and is really quiet. The only way to get a stronger signal is to turn it all the way up but then you cant dial in the right setting.

Btw i was testing this in the effect loop on a Marshall DSL100HR (100w all tube Marshall amp) with 2 orange 1×12 cabinets. Its a great amp that takes all my other pedals very well. This is the only time in my life ive bought a pedal that as absolutely no redeeming quality.

Every other budget pedal i own as well as the higher end ones ( up to $300 in some cases) i can get good sounds out of. Some pedals have a steeper learning curve than others but if i dont like a pedal at first i will always work with it until i find out how to get it to sound good in my set up and i have always succeeded.

But this Behringer Chorus pedal is just 100% junk. I am beyond certain i will never coax a decent tone out of it. Ive been playing almost 20 years and am a good player. I can make pretty much anything sound good, some things have more tonal options than others.

But again, this pedal is 100% useless. Im not upset though, i bought it not expecting much but hoping to be pleasantly surprised. lol. i wasn’t. Now if your reading this and you need a quality chorus pedal at a budget price I can confidentially recommend the NUX CH3 Chorus.

Its a little more than this pedal but comes in a metal housing and sounds LIGHT-YEARS better and is surprisingly versatile for the price point. And if you have more to spend in the future my favorite chorus pedal that ive owned is the MXR M234 analog chorus.

Its highly versatile and i was always able to dial in the exact tones i wanted with it. I sold it a couple years ago cause i want to upgrade the pickups in my 7 string LTD. Anyways, Behringer pedals= Terrible.

I have heard this Stereo Chorus in action. I wanted one for my own! Back-ordered. ?. ?. ? Wait 3 months?. ?. ?. ok. I’ll wait. It just came in and I have spent 2 glorious weeks finding out what it can do.

With one amp (a Peavey Backstage Plus, 10″, 35 watts) it sounds pretty good. Not quite as good as my Fender Princeton, 2X10″ stereo chorus (I put in a baffle plate to help sonically isolate the 2 speakers.

) Played stereo into 2 amps, Crate 35 watts, about 15 feet apart, feeding each one from the stereo outputs, it sounds lush, dreamy, swirly, and full of character. I mostly play ballads and love songs, nylon fingerstyle (think: Love Me Tender, In My life, Morning has Broken.

Side by Side, etc) This stereo chorus, on slow/moderate settings, is perfect to enhance a romantic feeling, without getting syrupy or seasick. It was definitely worth the wait!!.

Was wanting a chorus for my bass. The filter knobs work great for that. If you set the rate low and depth high. You get iconic flanging drone sounds. It’s a boss pedal so has all of the great features all boss pedals have.

I expect it to be around longer than I will. 10/10.

I first bought the Zakk Wylde chorus which was good, but this Boss pedal kills it! My favorite part of this pedal is that there is so many options in finding your exact sound. It has a nice bright sound while maintaining a well-rounded low and mid.

It does not at all take away from your sound, even when your sound is heavily distorted. I am playing through a Epiphone Custom Signature Bjorn Gelotte Les Paul with active 81/85 EMG’s > Zakk Wylde Crybaby Wah > Boss Metal Core ML-2 > Boss Distortion DS-1 > Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5 > MXR Phase 90 > MXR Carbon Copy Delay > TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb > MXR EVH Flanger > MXR Dyna Comp > TC Electronic Ditto Looper > TC Electronic polytune 2 > Marshall DSL40CR.

This pedal fits my gear perfectly, no criticisms. *The picture is without a few of the pedals currently in my chain, but the chorus is there.

I’ve found this box very useful for organising my sounds and volume settings easily. I have a list of songs with the settings that need to be changed before each one, then the foot pedals are used to switch instantly while playing.

I made a dual footswitch for the Compressor and EQ (you can also buy one), and this adds enormously to the convenience. I use the compressor to give a louder and more sustained clean sound for soloes, and the EQ for an acoustic strum sound, and general brightness and lift.

The distortion section has a lot of options – I have only used it so far for thick rhythm sounds, but there are heaps of interesting ones you could try (whether they sound good in a band can only be found it by experience, but they sound great at home).

There is so much on this device that I’m nowhere near trying it all seriously – the point is I’m having a lot of fun with it, and finding useful stuff every time I look for it. I haven’t tried using the memory banks, because I haven’t finished tweaking my song settings, but if you were at that stage they would be great, especially for recalling precise delay settings (these are not easy to reproduce manually, as there are no numeric parameter readouts).

Gotta Put My 2 Cents Worth Out There About The M148, Most Reviews Here Are Right On The Money! For Starters, Do Not Be Put Off Because Of The Single Control, That Is Not An Issue With This Pedal! That One Knob Will Take You To Chorus Heaven.

Like Others Have Stated Here, I Too Have Used Many Chorus EFX, Both Pedal And Rack, Rarely Impressed, Just Could Not Dial In That Elusive Tone, After While You Give Up And Sell Off About Every One, Then There Comes A Sort Of Avoidance Of That Effect All Together, Just Never Got That Full And Round Sound That Comes From Analog Design! Not Saying That One Size Fits All With The M148, But Dang, It IS Good And Soooo Simple To Dial In Those Vintage Tones! Gotta Give It Up For The Design Team At MXR, The Parameters And Sweep Of the Micro Chorus Preset Control Are Very Useable Indeed; No Fiddle and Faddle, Sweet Chorusing It Is Just There at The Turn Of One Dial.

Of Course There Are Many Kinds and Types of Chorus, And Numbers Of Modern Players Have Good Luck With Digital Modualation Designs, Then There Are The Hard Core “Old School” Guys Who Build Their Sound Around The Fatter And Warmer Analog Classic Circuits, I Am Of The Latter Persuasion And Oh So Fussy About The High End In My Chorusing, If It Is Thin And Edgey, Than That Is Not Gonna Work For Me; This IS Where The Micro Excells With A Smooth And Full Chorus That Is Not Overly Bright Or Processed Sounding; Even A Telecaster Can Sound Rich On This Pedal, Neck Pickup Of Course!–Some Of The Best Rhythm We Have Heard! My Biggest Complaint Is That All The MXR Stuff Is Getting Pretty Pricey, BUT For The Money, You Will Be Hard Pressed To Find A Better Sounding Chorus Pedal, And As For Ease Of Use, We Know Of No Other Make Or Model That Compares-A Clear Winner All Around!.

Purchased this after returning an EH Nano Small Clone, which was very noisy with a hiss that could not be tamed. This was needed to build out a small three-pedal board for acoustic-electric guitar, going through the front end jack of a Fender Acoustasonic 40W, with no effects loop.

I was also very concerned about pedal choices from the standpoint of affecting or coloring the tone of my Yamaha A3M when not in use. had to be completely true bypass and transparent. While the single control of this MXR pedal may cause the knob friendly crowd to shudder, I like the idea of having a single control that is quick, but the pedal must produce the tone desired.

Very few MXR pedals I have ever owned or auditioned have missed the mark of what they are supposed to do. I like this so much on my acoustic board, I will likely add one to my main studio/stage rig. This is a great pedal, period!.

The shining color of the stars was the first thing that dazzled my eyes and my pleasureful interest. Like most things in my life, having a single knob is the best thing this pedal has going for it, despite it’s sound.

I’ll never forget the first time I plugged this little devil in and plugged in my amp and turned on my guitar. A burst of wonder rammed my ears. My head was bent over and rammed with a thick pleasuring sound of micro chorus.

I immediately fell to the ground and let out a roar of amusement. I thought to myself “Its been years since I’ve pleasured so intensely”. I find I can’t handle this little mine of destruction every night.

I have to use it in small doses otherwise I tend to suffer from tremendously bad trips. It was so bad that I came back to school after using it in a men’s stall and everybody had turned to dinosaurs and I had to leave and find my one turkish black sword that I could have sworn I had left at the White House.

On a concluding note, this pedal basically handed me a bucket of dynamite and told me to run into an apartment complex on fire to save a kitten on the sixth floor.

Good quality reasonably subtle chorus effect. You get what you imagine you will.

The Ensemble King is my 3rd Mooer pedal to date. Others I own are the Sky Verb and the Trelicopter. They are all very to the point in terms of usability. They each add warmth and color to my tone. Very happy with this chorus sound! There will be more Mooer for me in the near future.

This is exactly the sound I was going for. My tc electronic Corona chorus was not doing it for me and I wanted something more lush and rich but in the same small format. This is exactly the sound I had imagined.

It is analog, rich and lush and has a gorgeous tone. It is not as versatile as the corona but has such a better tone. The rate does not go ultra fast at its highest setting but for me that is fine because that is not the sound I was going for.

I LOVE THIS PEDAL!.

This Ibanez Mini Chorus pedal truly surprised me with just how good it is. Its sound, tone and clarity are reminiscent of its 1980s older cousin. It generates no extra noise, the controls are intuitive & easy to use and its built like a little tank.

Its quickly become one of my favorite pedals!.

This is a great general purpose chorus pedal. I’m a rhythm player and have used Boss/Ibanez/Maxon/TC Electronic chorus pedals and this one sounds great. It compares favorably with the old Ibanez and Boss (CE2) pedals from the 80s.

It also has a great “Leslie” sound – better than my old CE2. An added bonus is not taking up a lot of real estate on the pedal board.

This was my first UniVibe style pedal. I found the my guitar tone became noticeably brighter (more treble) when the the pedal was engaged. I reached out on some guitar chat rooms and other have noticed this as well.

Some say they adjust the tone knobs on their guitar to compensate. I tried that but was never able to quite dial in my unaffected guitar tone while the pedal was engaged. I found another UniVibe pedal that did not have this issue.

This pedal actually does have a great effect. And some guitarists seem to prefer this brighter sound as it can cut through a live mix better than a guitar tone with more low end. However, it just wasnt for me.

Ive have a few tremolos and none come close to the sound and features of this gem! All 4 trem types rock! The tap in is feature that takes this trem over the top. You can even set the divisions up 4 ways.

Ive had the zvex sonar and even though the artwork was way cooler and it sounded amazing it was nothing compared to this jhs trem! This pedal makes great tones easy and on the fly other trems ive had you really gotta fiddle with the knobs to get a good tone.

The square wave makes distorted sounds super choppy in a good way and the ramp sounds weird in a good way. JHS hits it outta the park again all their tap tempo in pedals are wonderful! Especially this one!.

This thing is fun. Tonal quality is great, and it is built really well. Whenever I am lacking in inspiration, I flip this thing on and off we go! Price point is a bit heavy, BUT, coming from JHS you know it is a quality pedal, so I think it is worth it.

My only complaint is that the tap switch is not the one that is shown in the photo, it is the same style as effect on off switch. Not really a huge complaint, though i don’t really understand why, if there has been a design change, AMS can’t update its item photo.

I’ve been looking for a phaser that has more controls than a simple speed/rate knob that I liked and could afford. I had a Mutron way back in the 70s that I sold in the 80s. I have never been able to find another I could afford so I settled for a 1 knob wonder because everyone thinks they are great.

Unfortunately I didn’t. The phase from the 1 knob wonder was way too drastic and created chaos in my tone. I got a gift card for GC recently and took a gamble on this phaser, but I’m glad I did. This pedal is fantastic.

Very versatile, lots of adjustability, goes from subtle to over the top and everywhere in between, 2 different speeds can be set and switched between the two. I would highly recommend this phaser to anyone looking for more out of a phaser than just a rate or speed control.

I never tried a Fender pedal before. I like the idea this was a combo “Bubbler (vibrato?)” Chorus pedal. The Chorus is great. The Bubble side is slightly touchy on dialing in the right sound you want.

Balancing the 2 effects is also slightly touchy. Once you find the sweet spot, its great. There is nothing wrong with this except kind of hard to find the Bubbler side sweet spot.

It’s a very gentle, wide open, Leslie-like phaser. 4-stage It has a filter at 1k and 8k, 8-stage has filters at 500Hz and 15k with less intense filters at 2k-ish and 5k-ish. And the ramping between speeds adds to the Leslie vibe, the sensing gives it some fun envelope filter possibilities.

I’m really happy with it.

I play acoustic guitar. I have had this pedal for a couple decades I think. It is a must for ballads, Margaritaville songs, solos, Little Wing and everything in between. Usually the settings are all 12:00 It is subtle but still there.

Hard to explain but if you play acoustic guitar and only have ONE pedal this is it. You can just leave it on with the effect at about 11:00 it thickens your sound nice (Second to add to acoustic guitar is the Boss CP-1x compressor.

But that’s for another review).

Boss makes excellent pedals at fair prices. They have very clean effects in their chorus, delay, and reverb pedals, and moderate “dirt” in the overdrive pedals. I use to have an assortment of brands on my pedalboard, but currently all 7 pedals I am using are made by Boss.

I even have two Boss Katana amps that I run in the stereo expanse mode and they sound excellent.

Unfortunately, the seller canceled the sale, perhaps he wanted more, however, there are many many guitar effects out there. I chose the chorus, as the first pedal in my rebuild, which later would include a wah-wah [phase shifter], tube distortion and such.

Since the chorus was canceled, I moved on to a guitar effect’s rig, which included 6 effects, and about 9 total. A lot of people, don’t like plastic bodies on effects, though most of the Behringer line sounds great, and for home use vs.

road use, it’s fine. Save a few dollars in Behringer effects, and get more. New costs on effects, especially the metal pedals, is often more than the guitar or keyboard. You may use them for guitars, ukele’s, banjo’s, synth’s and piano’s, and even acoustic’s with a magnetic pickup, and for classical with a piezo-electric pickup.

If you are recording, effects are almost essential, such as reverb, chorus, distortion etc. The more tone controls on the effect, the better, unless it is an undesirable brand, where you just “twist knobs”, with no output change.

To save money, Behringer, German made, are among the best.

The chorus effect has been my choice modulation since my first: 87 DOD stereo chorus. The Seafoam was the only chorus pedal I wanted which was purchased from M. F. It arrived on 9/8/17 and a day later I felt obligated to share my personal review.

Firstly the Seaform offers a wide range of tones which starts with the ADT setting. ADT offers a clean, expansive reverb that is amazing that surprised me. The other two are equally great. Never mind the flange tone it offers by changing the flip switch inside the pedal.

I was able to purchase it while on sale and it’s the best chorus on the market for its price range and other competitors.

I absolutely love this chorus pedal. Hands down the best I have used. The versatility in and of itself is awesome, but man the tone is amazing. There is a Abby Hall reverb capability that sounds better than other reverbs I have and have used in and of itself.

Keeley makes some amazing products- I’m new to their line of pedals but recently have obtained this and a Keeley Bassist comp pedal. Great stuff!.

Bob Keeley has really out-done himself on this outing of “new and improved”. WOW! I have tried many chorus pedals over the years on my bass and THIS pedal is a cherished keeper. Easy to dial in many useful effects blends out to a nice, quiet flange-like effect that really kills.

Love at first riff. MANY useful tones in this one rock solid package. The autograph on the back is the icing on this tone-cake. If you’re on the fence, just get one. In this arena we have to “buy ’em to try ’em”.

Excellent product that is worth FAR more than the street price. I have found zero shortcomings with this pedal. I put this against my MXR Bass chorus deluxe and it wins outright on versatility alone (though I like the MXR, too).

Bootsy? If you’re reading this, I recommend you audition this pedal on your board. It brings the FUNK.

This is hands-down my favorite chorus. I was trying to figure out if I should get this or a June 60 V2 And this managed to pop up. The main attraction was the bass and treble cut that is Pre-effect. And this is capable of getting you a solid Juno emulation with some extra clarity and punch that I’ve only heard on the dimension C.

I would AB this with the dimension C before buying it because some people have told me that they don’t like the swirly tone. Because of how power-hungry this pedal is I wouldn’t consider it for travel or for a micro set up.

Overall: I have the MXR Black Label Chorus (the same pedal as the M234 ‘Analog Chorus’, only with different graphics) but decided it just wasn’t as impressive as all the reviews made it out to be so I opted for MXR’s deluxe model stereo chorus.

The difference between the two is beyond noteworthy. The BLC added a nice wobble with adjustable thickness but the crystal clear shimmer I had grown accustomed to with my slowly dying vintage Danelectro Cool Cat (the big surf green metal one from the mid 1990’s) was noticeably ABSENT.

I hooked up “big yellow” and was knocked out by the sound. I practice using a stereo rig with a Vox Pathfinder 10 and a Fender Rumble 25 bass amp. The Stereo Chorus made it sound like a much more expensive pair of amps.

Randy Rhoads used the “original MXR” version of this pedal and when I arppegiated the ‘barred B & A chords with the open E & B strings’ pattern, it sounded exactly like the opening of ‘You Can’t Kill Rock and Roll’.

Any pedal good enough for Randy is good enough for me (and you). (For a guitar I was playing a white Epiphone Les Paul Custom with Seymour Duncan “hot rods”. Yeah, I’m a Randy fan!) The individual controls allow for a great many varied settings but once I dialed in the sound I got from my old Danelectro, I stopped right there.

I have to say the bass filter switch is a real asset since I have a bass amp in my rig. I should take a photo in case the knobs get moved when putting the pedal away. I have to conclude my review with a shout-out to zZounds.

I bought this pedal as a “blemished” model and it was shipped without the power supply. (All 18v MXR pedals include the power supply. ) I sent an email to zZounds and received a reply 24 minutes later saying the power supply would be shipped posthaste.

24 MINUTES?! That is outstanding customer service and with service like this, zZounds will continue to be my #1 choice when buying gear.

New musical band – new sound. From garage grunge to old classic russian rock, so, I need universal chorus for most situations. And, I DONT like chorus sounding ) Our first guitarist using chorus almost all time when playing, with or without distortion.

I need second chorus only if it will be with wide range of settings. After few days of watching video reviews, reading opinions. ok, this model not overpricing, not have strange additional functions like unwanted for me flanger or delay.

Just chorus – stereo, cool bass cutting function, wide range of settings. As usualy, I selected in eBay filter – low price (including shipping), and bought it! So, one show with my new M134 was in Moscow, last friday.

Awesome sounding. Adding a little amount of wet sound give me just sweet acoustic sounding with my Fender’s strat on neck pickup. In my pedalboard this unit connected to both stereo inputs in Digital Delay DD-7, so, on main output I have stereo sounding, even without strong chorusing!.

Dislike: strange, but with stereo output port sounding a little much basses and mids than mono output. In bypass both outputs working identically. And I can power up unit from my favourite pedalboard power unit from Voodoo lab! Just two 9v outputs solving problem of 18V DC 🙂 About finish of M134.

Not yust yellow, but yellow metallic. Cool! So, my pedalboard now looks awesome, and I have almost all modulation effects needs for me and my sound. If you searching chorus, M134 really good choice. Excellent sounding, without dirt “chorusing” effect, but it is possible to turn right to hell all knobs ) Good control of effect’s EQ and wet/dry level.

And no overpricing! Remember – it is only one good advicer and teacher for you – your ears. If M134 cool for me, it is can be not for you. But here is my strong advice – try M134 in your effects chain.

Overall: Being not at all familiar with the original and having only used one other chorus, this ‘boutique’ Boss CE-2W was purchased with the hope that I’d find new inspiration from a sound I’ve generally avoided over the years.

Flangers and uni-vibe clones have always meshed better with my style of playing, and the chorus effect isn’t used by any of my guitar heroes so it’s stayed mostly off my radar. But this chorus is truly magnificent, and it’s got a couple of secrets.

It has 3 settings, all of which are not only sonically unique, but great, useful warm sounding chorus tones. It’s thick without being dark and not too shimmery. The effect is not subtle, but it doesn’t totally envelop the sound.

It works with your tone instead of conquering it. The real surprise is the vibrato setting. Holy moly is it sweet! Crank up the rate and you’ve got instant ‘Black Hole Sun’ sound. And the nice thing about it having the 3 modes is that you essentially get 3 high quality analog effects in one box, hence the high price tag.

It’s stereo out, so that might be fun to mess around with in the studio. The pedal’s finish is like looking at a lightly cloudy but mostly sunny sky. If you’re a chorus aficionado, this one is a no brainer.

If you’re not and you want something different but don’t want to stray too far away from the swirly goodness of a vibe or flanger, this one is a no brainer.

This pedal is THE one to buy if you’re looking for those hard to get Rush/Police tones from the 70s and 80s. It has other sounds in it as well but I was looking for those particular tones and found those in spades with the pedal.

There are maybe one or two other pedals out there that can reproduce the same tones but I think this one provides those exactly. Works perfectly with both clean and overdriven tones. I’ve had it a few months now and it’s extremely easy to use (just two knobs and a switch).

It’s a Boss so it’s rather indestructible. Pricey? Maybe, but that all depends on what you’re looking for. To me it was well worth the money!.

I really wanted this for nostalgia’s sake and a particular sound I associate with 80s songs, but that categorizes this pedal in an unfair way. This pedal does so much more than an “80s sound. ” It is a beautiful lush chorus.

With depth and rate low, it provides a great thick sound for the vintage single coils in my strat. The CE-1 setting may be my favorite. This pedal is dead silent on my board. If you are a bit intimidated by “all the controls” or confused about which chorus pedal to buy, buy this one! There is not a bad setting on it and it sounds amazing.

The concept is brilliant. The beat sense tech is also brilliant. The remote mic is necessary. The remote mic is cheap flimsy junk that will fail. No oem replacement. No specs on mic. Warranty support is not available.

Music Tribe? A poor excuse for manufacturing support. It’s a bizzare setup. Brilliant innovation coupled with cheap manufacturing and online member forum as support. Never, ever, will I purchase any product under the Behringer umbrella.

Uli Behringer evidently doesnt mind dragging his name through the mud, and taking previously reputable companies with him.

I purchased this pedal because of its gifted potential for subtlety. I usually play my single-coil Stratocasters straight into an amp without any effects. And when using an effect (usually only one at a time), it is my preference for my guitar to only get slightly under its influence.

I want my listeners to think my playing sounds expressive, and think it might be because of me. However, if the Level and Depth controls are turned way up it does make the expected dramatic chorus pedal sounds.

It is completely silent when switched off, and adds no unpleasant noise when on (of course this is easily achieved in the absence of a large chain of pedals). Your tone will shine straight through even when the pedal is engaged.

The Corona’s Tone control adjusts the tone of the effect only, so if the Level is adjusted low, the guitarist might get the impression the Tone control does nothing; I saw that sentiment in a few reviews when researching this pedal.

I haven’t download any new TonePrint, as the preset TonePrint is my favorite chorus type setting: I think it has the sweetest afterglow. The standard Chorus setting has a thinner sounding atmosphere, and the Tri-Cho setting has a punchier attack.

The Corona Chorus is designed in Denmark, but is made more affordable by being assembled in Thailand. Use DC power. Battery power is virtually unusable, as it will kill a high quality 9V battery in about an hour.

I almost gave it 4 stars because of that, but then realized that probably nobody else uses batteries with their pedals anyway.

In the past I had had a SCF+ Chorus, and that pedal is perfect. I sold it to a friend before I moved to the US and, because I was missing a chorus in my pedalboard (and I also liked the Flashback Delay), I decided to give Corona a try.

I bought this pedal with a discount coupon plus some Backstage Points. Well, unfortunatelly, the Corona disappointed me. Ok, it’s well built, it has a good cost-benefit ratio, the option for dual or tri-chorus makes a difference on the “detune” effect, and there are some Toneprint adjusts that can help you to shape your tone.

but I think I set the bar too high, thinking that I would get different chorus/flanger/vibrato sounds on it. I wouldn’t. I spent some time with the Toneprint Editor, trying to tweak Corona in order to discover new sounds.

All the modulations have a similar sound, and the vibrato and flanger doesn’t remember the SCF at all. I understand if Corona had offering all modulations in full mode, there would be no reason for other models (Shaker and Vortex), but even the chorus sounds aren’t so diverse.

You can use speed and depth, and there is a nice hi-pass filter, but if you think Toneprint has many different chorus sounds, maybe you should test that pedal before buying. Also, Corona delivers a specific medium-high frequency (not noticeable on the original SCF+) that shaped the tone a little bit, taking out some of the transparency I expected.

TC could fix that EQ issue inserting a multi-band EQ inside the editor. Finishing, don’t take me wrong: Corona is a nice pedal, maybe the best option among other chorus pedals with the same price. The technology within allows TC to improve user experience.

But don’t expect too much.

The Small Clone gives an awesome chorus effect to your sound! I always wanted that full warm grunge sound and so I figured why not put that icing on that cake and get the gear the legend himself used.

The quality build is crisp, the sound I’m getting is satisfying and the price is pocket/wallet friendly!! I must say that I’m far from disappointment! So, sit down or stand up which ever you prefer and know this is your chance of being that one step closer of making that 90’s defining sound!!! A little something extra.

There’s definitely a reason why this pedal is so popular. It’s a straightforward, uncomplicated yet versatile sounds chorus which has a wide variety of warm, watery sounds that’s given a bit of spice to my playing and compositions.

PMT had it at one of the most competitive prices on the internet and also had all the other gear I was looking for whilst others did not. Would definitely purchase again!.

Having gone back and forth between digital / emulated effects and analog / practical effects, I decided to add a Small Clone to my pedalboard. If I had one complaint about the unit, it would be that it has a switch for two different depth settings instead of an adjustment pot.

That said, when I plugged in I found that of the two settings available for depth there is one that suits me just fine. The pedal is very quiet, and does not color my tone in any way. True bypass is always an added benefit.

Electro Harmonix builds these pedals to last, and I can’t see myself ever moving to another chorus pedal from this one. I’m in love. Rig – Fender USA strat with EMGs into a Peavey 6505 head / cabinet.

The pedal adds great modulation to both clean tones and leads. BUY THIS.

I love the sound of this pedal- but it has a bad foot switch or something. Every time I turn it on or off it makes a huge popping noise that could literally damage your speakers- I have to put my amp in standby before I turn it on or off.

So, it’s sort of useless- if the song has this effect all the way through it and I can get a chance to flip my amp into standby, turn it on, flip my amp back on- then I can use it. I use it in studio pretty often- but not live.

I expected better form EHX- they’re a huge, well-established company- but they use cheap, crappy foot switches. Even the EHX pedals I have that don’t make this noise- the footswitch is really clanky and awkward- you have to make sure you push it down hard and feel that “click” under your foot.

The rest of my pedals have a very smooth switches on them, much better. BOO EHX, BOO!.

bought this after watching hundreds of video’s. generally i’m not really a chorus fan. However was interested in the toggle switch option on this unit which seemed to be really useful in ambient soundscapes.

Having played it now for a few weeks, i really like it, toggle switch is the main point for buying this, takes a standard chorus sound and adds a depth to it which is beautiful. easy to use and really adds something to ambient playing especially when paired with the holy grail reverb i bought.

overall really glad i bought it.

After reading reviews, I was slightly worried about the loud “pop” everyone was talking about. After using the pedal though, it only pops when first activated. You can turn it on and off 300+ times after that and never hear the pop again.

So do not be worried about that aspect of the pedal. Second, the pedal only has two depth settings. Don’t be worried about this either, it can cover a wide variety of chorus sounds. You can get a more expensive pedal with more knobs and more ways to edit the sounds but let’s be honest, once you find the sound you’re looking for, you won’t change the settings much.

It can sound so sweet and it can sound wacky. Whatever you need it to do, it will most likely do it.

I have just started getting into using flanger on my board recently and this is my favorite of all that I have bought, traded, or tried out. Flanger has definitely been my most used modulation lately and this box delivers.

I am not a huge fan of using the Filter Matrix Mode taken from the classic Deluxe Electric Mistress but some of you will love the option. In Filter Matrix Mode the harmonic makeup of the flange stays put and no frequency modulation is applied.

I love how you can set the chorus and flange at different rates at the same time. Oh yeah, did I mention this has a killer chorus as well? I mean it’s no Roland 120, but still great. Having stereo outputs is definitely a plus and is something I really feel should be available on every pedal regardless of type.

My only issue I have is the little bit of volume spike when you crank up the flange, but a lot of modulation pedals do the same.

This is my favorite Electric Mistress flanger pedal. This pedal sounds electrically delicious. With only three control knobs, this pedal is very simple, and easy to operate; which is what I like. I like the fact that I can use just the chorus knob to sweeten up my rhythmns, or, just the flanger knob to get a little more extreme.

Now; With the chorus and flanger control knobs, you can cascade or blend the two together, and, this pedal can give you some very sweet and extremely delicious musical modulations; especially in stereo.

I love this pedal. This is what a good Mistress is all about. The Electro Harmonix Stereo Electric Mistress pedal is bringing me a lot of musical joy.

While the stereo Electric Mistress was always my first choice when I decided to get a flanger pedal it was still hard to decide between this and the Ibanez AF2 “airplane” flanger. (based on video demos the Ibanez could get virtually the same sounds but the maiin attraction to that pedal was the “Take-off” mode) A late comer to my line-up of choices was the Hartman flanger.

But, I learned that was based on the original analog (and mono) Electric Mistress. So it was easier to drop that one as a choice (though I liked that it had internal trem controls to further contour the sound).

However, no matter how many reviews and video demos I looked at for the others I kept coming back to the stereo Mistress. Largely because I am familiar with the quality of EHX pedals and also I knew it would get the particular sound I was after.

Also it was less expensive than the others (especially after I had it price matched to another site). First the good: This will get those nice “jet plane” swooshing sounds and has minimal countrols making it easier to dear with when trying to get your specific sound.

The bad: I wish it could be used with an expression pedal when using the :filter matrix” as you get the best effects from the filter matrix when scolling the knob through the full range of the effact.

(this is also a complaint I have with the Ibanez flanger as the “Take-Off” mode would be more useful if you could sweep through the range of that pedal’s speed control with an expression pedal). In the end it was three things that helped me make my final decision; 1- I am familiar with the quality of Electro-Harmonix pedal and it’s cool that they are made right here in the United States.

2-I like the idea that it is stereo which could be cool for recording 3- It was the least expensive of the pedals I was considering which went a long way in forming my decision since all of my choices could achieve the same basic sounds (with slight variations of course).

The bottom line is that this is a quality pedal that has good sounds. The only reason I gave this 4 rather than 5 stars is that it would be nice to have the ability to sweep through the range of the Filter Matrix with an expression pedal.

Otherwise this pedal is a 5.
