Tight patterns out to 50 yards with a variety of loads in my 870 super mag. Excellent patterns with longbeard xr. Also, gives excellent patterns with copper plated heavishot. Only downside is the price.
Honestly, you can save a few bucks and go with a Carlson longbeard choke paired with longbeard xr loads and get compatible performance at long range. Nevertheless, this Is one of my favorite turkey chokes due to a mix of aesthetics and performance.
I was on a late season Kansas hunt with my brother. Both of us just got the pattern master and sighted them the weekend before. The practice gave us the confidence to take three call shy birds at over sixty yards.

I’ve been using H. S Strut’s “Raspy Old Hen” mouth call for about the last ten years. I tried several different company’s calls when I was first learning to use a mouth call; and as anyone who has tried a mouth call knows, they can definitely be hard to learn how to use and make them sound right! After a good bit of trial and error, and a lot of practice with various ones, I found that the “Raspy Old Hen” works the best for me! It’s one of the easiest to use, it holds up well to the abuse my mouth puts it through while I’m leaning against oak trees for hours during season, and it’s reeds keep their tension better than most as it gets worn from the season’s use (which would probably be the best selling point if the sound quality wasn’t so great).
I am a fan of H. S. Strut’s mouth calls in general, but I absolutely recommend this mouth call to fellow turkey hunters out there!!! And that’s to Novice & Experienced Hunters alike.

when i first got this call i thought it was great. sounded good and had a nice rasp to it but it didnt even make it to turkey season. the plastic broke when i tried bending it a little to fit my mouth.
have never had a problem with a mouth call breaking before! wont be buying more. i found one better and cheaper than this one and i got a nice turkey with it too. spend your money on a call thats not gonna break.

I ordered a vest prior to the start of the season and when I got it, it was not the camo I ordered. I called in let them know and the gentleman said yes they knew and there was a mix up. Odd why no one called me to explain.
I asked about getting the right one sent to me and I was told to mail back the other one and once they got it they would send me the right one, or I could just buy another one and to make sure I had it in time for the season.
That left a bad taste and I do not believe I will ever purchase anything else from rogers.

I saw this in sportsman guide weekly catelog an had to have it, ordered it an got it in about 3 days, quick shipping just in time for turkey season. Mojo makes good decoys imo. Put it together and took it the first day of turkey season here in NC.
You can get down on the ground an hide behind it or in the edge of the woods with it out front in a good hide position. Unfortunately I couldn’t call one up the day I went, if you have problems putting it together, go to the mojo site, the directions that come with it aren’t to swift.
Also watch the video on this decoy, I watched it about 20 times an showed it to all my hunting buddy’s. Anyway going to try it again this week.
Seems to look like it’ll work. Will test it out this spring. Assembles and disassembles easy. Only issue Ive seen is on the stake. The stake is in 2 parts. One part with just the handle, then the second is to attach to the handle if you wish to stick it in the ground.
Where these two pieces meet there is a hole for a pin to be inserted to lock them together. The hole in mine is too small for the provided pin to fit. Its not really as issue tho as the two stakes fit tightly together, so they aren’t going where.

I have had the Kick’s gobbling Thunder ever since it came out. I paired it with my Mossburg Ultimag that I have had since 1994. Last spring I used the combo on a nice Oscela Tom in south-west Florida.
The Tom came in real close, I was using Winchester XR’s, and at 20 yard, I missed the bird. He started to run and I dropped him at 77 yards, I couldn’t believe that I killed him at that distance. This choke has never let me down.
If your a close in hunter, go with a different load (like Win double X magnums, for distance and hung up birds, go with the Win Longbeard XR’s). Just bought a Tristar Rapor 12 gage and am going to Basspro tomorrow to purchase a Kick’s Gobbling Thunder for it.

Had just got a Mossberg Maverick 88 I was wanting a turkey tube so this is what I ended up buying. Hands down a great buy! I’m not normally one to write reviews but it was worth one. Smoked a turkey at 50 yards this morning! 10/10 would buy again.
Ordered the Kicks Gobblin Thunder. 670 constriction. Put it on a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag turkey shotgun. Found out item was on backorder after I purchased it. However, came back in stock after a week or so and shipped quick.
Shoots great patterns all the way out to 40 yards (I hopefully don’t plan on having to shoot further than that). Would probably feel comfortable shooting up to 50 yards with this choke.

I know results vary by load and gun but this combo didnt work for me. I upgraded from the factory remington to a primos tight wad with great results. I had a trip planned to go to texas and bought this because I like their duck tubes.
Good thing i patterned my 3. 5″ #4 longbeard xr 1050fps load. It shot 2 feet low no matter what I did. I’ve never had a choke do this, I stuck with my Tight Wad and got my bird.
I bought this for my Winchester SXP hybrid hunter. I shot a couple different rounds out of it until I found the perfect load. I am extremely happy with it and would absolutely buy it again. Winchester double X 6 shot 3″ is what I found to be my best load.
