20 Best Choice Products Magnetic Tiles (2023 Updated)

The price is right, and the quality is equal to the more expensive brand, so you can afford many more pieces! I recently purchased a set from the “name” brand, and made a comparison before I give both to my grandson for Christmas.

(I will give him both, because some people are very “brand aware,” but he will be delighted to have 100 additional pieces he can build with, as opposed to the very expensive name brand, for which I was only willing to pay for the 30 piece set.

) This set also has a great “idea” booklet to get started. The name brand’s advertised “unique” feature is that they always connect, even when flipped. True. Also true for this set, except for the rectangles, which have only one magnet in the short end of the shape.

All other sides in both sets have two magnets, which seems to neutralize the polarity issue. So you may have to flip the rectangles. OK, no big deal. The rectangle shapes add versatility to the design possibilities.

The name brand set I have does not have rectangles. This being an educational toy, children are introduced to the concepts of magnetism AND polarity, which is not experienced in the name brand set. Piece for piece, I see no difference other than the brand stamp on each.

Color, design, piece sizes, magnetic pull strength, etc. , are all the same. The difference is the PRICE. From their website, “Best Choice Products ensures selling the best merchandise at the lowest prices by dealing directly with our manufacturers.

” This set duplicates the name brand at an affordable price. I cannot speak to the other knock-offs on the market, only this one. This one is good.

My son is 8 years old with Severe Autism and is non verbal. He and I absolutely love the Magnetic Tiles they are so much fun. The first day that we played with them we played for hours from the afternoon to night time, because of my son’s Autism there are not too many toys he enjoys but the 50 pcs Magnetic Tiles he gets so excited to play with.

We play with them at least two times per day now. We absolutely love the 50 pcs Magnetic Tiles so much that I have plans to purchase so much more of the magnetic tiles so I could build a small house out of them big enough for him to sit in.

We love them so much I give the magnetic tiles an A+++.

Can’t go wrong with Magna-Tiles. They are the dream gift for my favourite 4-year old, who couldn’t wait to add them to his set and get working on his next creation–excited for the new possibilities of the polygons.

I bought my 5 year old and 2 year old each a set and these were among their favorite Christmas gifts! They’re very light weight, perfect size for kid hands (even chubby little toddler fingers would fit perfectly) and the magnets are strong! Plus, the colors are gorgeous and bright! Definitely recommend trying these out.

I purchased 2 different sets of these for my granddaughter’s 2nd birthday. She and the rest of the older cousins, as well as the adults loved them! In fact, my 11 year old granddaughter said she wished she had some! My daughter-in-law who teaches 4 year olds uses them in her classroom and my daughter who teaches 5th grade says they are great for spacial recognition.

I will be adding sets on birthdays and holidays! A true win-win!.

We have bought several of these sets. Our greatgrandaughter plays with them all the time. When we have her and have doctor appointments she keeps everyone in the waiting room entertained. Much more interactive than electronic toys and let’s kids use their imagination.

By the way she is nearly 3.

Magnets From the Metropolis Magna Tiles Set Are Extremely Weak And We Were Not Able To Get A Structure To Hold With Out Collapsing. I Also Checked What My Children Saying And They Were Right, This Set Was Very Weak Compared To Previous Magna tile Sets.

We Own Other Sets And Have No Problem With Them But This Set In Particular Has Very Weak Magnets. I Contacted Magna Tile To Report This Because It’s A Very Expensive Set, All They Told Me Was That They Have Different Manufacturers And Thanked Me For Reporting.

I Offered To ship Them To Them And Asked For A Replacement But They Said I would Have To Return To Target. Very Frustrating Since We Received As A Gift And Had To Awkwardly Ask For A Gift Receipt. Very Disappointed With This Product And Magna Tiles Customer Service.

I have a Sunday school class from 2 to 5 year-olds and this is by far the favorite toy. I had to buy more so there are enough pieces for everyone. Boys and girls both like them. They allow for imaginative, creative play.

The colors are beautiful. They are sturdy enough that we have never broken a piece. Fun for me, too, when I get a chance to sit down! Well worth the money. The only negative is dragging them away for their lessons.

We love Magna-tiles! First and foremost the construction is iron clad. I am constantly worried about toys that have small pieces that my kids could swallow and end up with a trip to the ER and these are constructed so well that I am not worried about rough okay busting them open and exposing the little magnets.

(Though I do still inspect the pieces between play). These inspire so much creativity and self play. I’m so impressed with these toys and the way they cultivate creative play.

My Kindergarteners on the Autism Spectrum love love love these blocks from the first moment they were opened. I like the convenient storage box and I kept the plastic inner packing lid to help keep the case secure if the kids didn’t quite close the lid.

The blocks are colorful, geometric, and strong. The magnetic edges stick in a variety of ways. My kids clamor to use these blocks. I already got another teacher to order it for her special education class as well.

My kids age 3-6 love magnetic tiles. They’re great for motor skills and creativity. Also great for independent play and cooperative play. I like this particular one because of the bin included. I just don’t know how long it will hold up since tiles are heavy.

When this is on sale, it’s a great deal because I think they sell the bin by itself for $24? we have used a regular foldable storage bin that’s also from target that can hold the tiles. It was a no brainer to also send this as a gift to our friend’s kids who are of the same age.

Love this bundle! My 2. 5 year old daughter carries this bin into the family room daily and adds in her farm animals. It’s such an easy design for her to unzip on her own – seriously the best! She insists on unzipping the bin herself saying, “no mommy, I do it myself!” Her favorite shape is the small rectangle (which I don’t believe are included in other Magnatiles sets) – she is constantly building me a “house” with those small rectangles.

This would make a perfect gift for any little one who enjoys building since a storage bin is included.

This is our 2nd purchase we have made from this company because my daughter loves them! Her smaller set works right in with these so nicely. Now she can learn more of how keep her play area picked up with the storage bin which is a great idea to have included.

Will be great for many hours of building during the upcoming winter.

My grandson and I absolutely love these magnetic building tiles! We had the best time playing together after his 5th birthday! The magnets are strong, sturdy, and easy to construct. Very creative and versatile toy.

Cleanup was easy too! Tiles stack and fit back into the box nicely. The price is a little high, but well worth it! I plan to purchase more for my classroom of 3rd graders.

My 3 year old loves building stuff. Her daycare suggested getting her magnatiles coz she loves playing them for hours at her daycare. I am so glad I stumbled across these. She loves playing with these.

I feel that the magnets are strong, and the pieces are durable. They have been dropped from her highchair. I wish they had more of the long triangle ones so I could make a ferris wheel. We enjoy building houses for her toys and garages for her car.

She rarely shares any squares with me and I have to make do with the triangles, I think I will have to buy another set lol.

I thought these were OK (yes, just OK) until I used the Picasso brand. The magnets in these ones often fight each other and require careful building with a lot of support to build anything higher than a single level.

They’re very difficult for young children to build with. Buy the Picasso brand, they are far superior!.

I bought this for our 5 year old because we didn’t want a flimsy marble run, and wanted something that he could incorporate his other magnet pieces to. It is super fun! The kit comes with enough pieces to make a few different shapes of marble run but really the play for him comes from adding in his other pieces and designing new runs.

I bought this for my 6 year old grandson for Christmas but it was too difficult for him to assemble so we assembled it for him but it always fell apart anytime he tried to play with it no matter how careful he was with it.

We finally just put all the tunnel pieces away and he only plays with the magnet tiles. This product would be more suitable for an older child that can assemble it.

This set is such a great addition to the many Picasso tiles my grandsons already have. Provide hours of entertainment and are of a very high quality. Would definitely recommend this product.

I care almost daily for my grandchildren ages 4, 8, and almost 2. They love magnetic tiles! Just two weeks and their creations are amazingly beautiful, from rocket ships to rows of townhouses, castles and trees.

This is hands down the most favorite toy of my granddaughter and she’s got tons of toys!!! Wanted to buy my son magnatiles but didnt want to spend too much in case he wasnt into them. This was a great alternative! Ive seen some people said the magnets are not great. Weve not had that experience.

There was one tile that was like a little misshapen but out of 265 thats not bad. My son loves these! They came with ABC stickers and his letters are his favorite part right. Theyve been living on my fridge since we got them and he drags me over to play with them daily.

We love our set of magnetic tiles. We purchased a smaller set from BCP for Christmas, I believe it was 75 pieces, but we quickly realized that it wasn’t enough. My son and all of the adults in our home love to play with these tiles.

We no longer put the set away after playing, I made a spot for them in our living room because it always gives us something to do. These are a lot more fun than Legos or building blocks. My 4 year old makes really fantastic houses, castles, cars, trains, mosaics, etc.

This is helping a lot with fine motor skills and helping him with his future STEM career. If you’re looking to buy these, go for it. They are great, but I suggest going for a larger set like this 250 pc set.

I absolutely cannot stand these things. They don’t stack, the magnets aren’t strong enough. They rarely stick to the “train cars”. My 3 year old gets very frustrated, and if I thought i could return them without him crying his eyes out about not having his Christmas present, I would and I’d use that chunk of change I had to pay for these things to buy him something that doesn’t make him angry.

The only thing that he likes playing with is the magnetic people and the abc tiles he likes to stick up on the freezer. 🙄 If your kid gets frustrated easily, I do not suggest these. They just don’t hold together well at all.

It would have been a great puzzle if the magnets were stronger. My son loves to build houses with these but always ends up getting so frustrated because he can’t build anything over 1 story high. They always end up collapsing.

My husband and I have to play with him and put it together carefully so that it won’t topple over. And when it does, my son gets so mad and we have to start all over again. It’s frustrating for us as adults as well, never mind for our 3-year-old.

Not to mention this puzzle would entertain my son for hours of self-play if the magnet connection was stronger. Us having to help him kind of beats the purpose – and he can definitely play with other toys alone for hours.

My husband knew it was too good of a deal for $20. We threw away the packaging and receipt right away so we couldn’t return it.

These are the absolute best for my kids! They play with them in so many different ways, building and using their imaginations. They are also just as fun for my 3 year old as they are for my 10 year old.

These Toy Magnetic Tiles from Discovery is my son’s current obsession. All he did at first was stack them, similar shapes together and that already got him entertained. Imagine his surprise when I showed him a simple house I made from these shapes! The tiles came in two shapes— square and triangle but the things you can build with these two shapes are endless! I love that they are so brightly colored and it’s made of good quality material.

As a beginner learner, I have used these same tiles to teach my son about the different colors and shapes. The magnets are secured inside the tiles and are not visible at all which is both safe and adds to the aesthetic of whatever your little builder is making.

The best part is that is comes with its own bag so packing away is eezy breezy. If Discovery comes out with other sets that come in other shapes and colors, I would not hesitate to purchase and add to this collection.

The Discover #Mindblown Remote Control Magnetic tiles are fun for the kids and are of nice quality. There are many different things they can make out these and the kids can really use their imagination while doing so.

The instructions show you three different things they can make, There were a couple of steps that you really had to look close to figure out but it didn’t take my 8 year old long to do so. My 4 year old could do simple building but it really should be for 6 and above like it is suggested.

They were really excited that they could actually build a remote control vehicle all by themselves. You do need to make sure that you are really close to the object when using the remote control for it to move.

Also the battery packs/motors are a little to heavy for the magnet tile to hold up but it still can be done. Still a great and fun set.

The two non-motorized things you can build are kind of pointless because they don’t stay together if played with and no kid is putting this on display. As for the motorized vehicle: It’s cheap, does not stay together (tire treads pull the wheels off), and barely drives on a hard surface let alone any carpet! Good idea, but poor execution.

But to be expected at $30 price point.

This toy really inspires you to be creative. It is so unique! I feel like the quality is really durable and my son will get alot of use out of it. My 7 year old son likes to build and rebuild with this set.

I’ve purchased magnetic tiles before and they worked ok but the magnets weren’t that strong. These, however, are fantastic. The grip on them are really strong, so whatever you put together won’t be flimsy or fall apart easily.

There’s a nice variety of pieces and shapes to work with. My kids have so much fun playing with them and creating little sculptures and buildings. The colors on them are pastel and soft. I’m glad it came with a pouch to store the pieces in so you have a place to put them away.

I love how my daughter thinks outside the box and her imagination grows as she comes up with different things to build. The tiles sometimes shift from what she wants because of the magnets pull to another tile but it is not something that causes her frustration.

I like the color choices and the window features that pop into the shapes are nice decorative touch. This set includes 40 pieces so you can build smaller objects. Buying 2 sets will definitely expand the possibilities.

My son loves building things so I bought the FAO Schwarz – Toy Magnetic Tile Set 40pcs for my son. It’s something completely new and it’s different. The box is nice and colorful and detailed so you absolutely know it’s for children,the items are nicely boxed and packages and just very very easy to take out and play with.

I love the magnetic sides because the are so so easy to snap together, easy to stack high, very easy to take apart and you can build so many different ways. Easy to store away. I would recommend this toy for children that loves building different things.

these are amazing. i love these so much. they are so much fun to build something. keep in mind that you have to use one side of these and stick to another side. meaning some sides dont magnet together.

im not sure what the science word is for it. maybe plus wont stick to plus. something like that. they all work you just have to flip over if they dont magnet toghether. these are enough peices i thought they wouldnt be enough but they are.

Bought this for my toddler and he is in love with it. Nothing can keep him occupied for more than 5 minutes but he plays with this toy for hours. Good quality and the picture guide is helpful too. I am getting another set with more pieces.

Got this for my 2 year old’s birthday. He and his sister (6), it’s of the first times I’ve seen her interested in building, they play well together with it and it’s the first toy out in the morning. They’ve asked for more for Xmas! We also took it to the grandparents and now it’s on the birthday and Xmas lists for the other grandkids.
