20 Best Chocolate For Chocolate Fountain (2023 Updated)

This chocolate fountain worked great. We used it for a wedding and everyone absolutely loved it. Setup was very simple and cleanup was a breeze. Despite what other reviews recommend, I let the chocolate harden before cleaning, because who really wants to stop the fun to clean right away? I just turned the water on as hot as it would go and the chocolate melted right off all the pieces within a few seconds.

The base can’t be submerged but you can fill the bowl with water and let it soak with hot water and a little dish soap. I wouldn’t hesitate to clean it this way again. My advice for getting a perfect flow would be to get a cheap level (you can buy one from Walmart!) and use the level adjusters on the bottom to get it perfectly level.

It makes a huge difference. Quality-wise, this fountain is built well and I expect to get much use out of it. Do note that it DOES NOT come with any chocolate – you have to buy that separately so make sure to factor the cost into your decision.

Overall, I highly recommend this fountain and would definitely buy it again should the need arise.

I purchased this chocolate fountain after borrowing a friend’s smaller one. I found it was very difficult to clean the base part because of the attached cord. The one thing I knew I wanted was to be able to separate the base from the machine for cleaning purposes.

This particular one has a detachable base & was much easier to clean. The other parts can easily be thrown in the dishwasher. My family has used it several times already & is always a huge hit. I would recommend spending the extra money for the Sephra Belgian chocolate (2 ~ 1 minute intervals to melt in microwave).

It is so delicious & really can’t compare to the other chocolates. The 6 included skewers are very convenient as well. Truly did not disappoint.

We just purchased this Chocolate fountain for an outdoor event, not sure it would be the right size for the 100 guests we were expecting. I was surprised to see that the fountain worked for 7 straight hours without any problems.

When we were low on chocolate, we just added more (melted in the microwave)and kept going. It was a great success and when it came time to clean it, we just poured the left over chocolate on a glass container and removed and disassembled the tower to hand wash everything.

It worked so well and the kids had a blast dipping strawberries, pineapple, raspberries, bananas and marshmallows. The chocolate-oil combo flowed smoothly and tasted great. Cleanup isn’t too difficult; just wash the plastic parts and wipe the machine down with paper towels.

The motor is a little noisy but was drowned out by the girls’ giggles and “now I’m going to try 5 marshmallows at a time” kind of comments. Total blast. Highly recommend!.

For only $22 I was very impressed how well this works. It was very easy to clean and worked well. You do have to use a special chocolate or add oil to the chocolate to get it to work but I just googled a recipe online with ghiradelli chocolate, milk, and condensed milk and it worked out perfect, not expensive and way yummier than all that oil.

My daughter loved this bday gift. Much cheaper than other fountains I considered. Kept chocolate flowing nicely for hours. Surprisingly easy (though still time consuming like all fountains) cleaning.

If chocolate dries, turn on heat-only until it melts enough to remove from pan. Lots of wasted chocolate at the end that was not salvageable given that fruit had been dipped in – but all fountains have that issue.

Used for High School graduation. Chose Milk Chocolate for teenagers-more to their taste. Did not follow directions for microwave, but put directly into fountain and it melted it and worked great: saved time!! Had fresh pineapple, strawberries, one-bite brownies, marshmallows for graduates to dip.

It melts like a dream, flows beautifully (when I use two bags in my chocolate fountain), tastes great and works perfectly the entire night. which is usually about 7 hours). People pay for convenience in America. Bottled water is successful for a reason, and this chocolate satisfies that quality. The taste is middle of the road for chocolate, and the price is very high for what you are getting, but the convenience of being able to simply microwave the chocolate and pour it into the fountain validates the cost in situations where you are time pressured (which often describes the times you will be using a chocolate fountain).

With all the different brands of chocolate on the market, it can be a difficult choice. I bought four 2 pound bags for our chocolate fountain that we had at my daughter’s graduation reception. This chocolate was delicious!! I lined my Crock-Pot with a bad and melted the chocolate that way before transferring it to the machine.

We got so many compliments on how tasty it was. Everyone went back for seconds and thirds. We did run out of chocolate. The nice milk chocolate taste is perfect. I will definitely buy this brand again.

This is chocolate is great for hot cocoa bombs! Tried these for the first time and this chocolate was easy to work with and tastes great! No tempering required and you end up with a smooth, shiny chocolate just from melting in the microwave! I also used this chocolate for the coating on some peanut butter candy, and it was super simple.

I have been purchasing from Party City and noticed that the consistency of the melts were constantly changing. One bag would melt smoothly and another bag would not because they were whole melts instead of halves.

I decided to try purchasing from Bake Deco and my first order was perfect melts, just they way they should always be. The box arrived pretty beat up but the packages inside were fine.

There are two options for ordering of this product – 4lbs and 20lbs. I ordered the 20 lbs box of Sephra chocolate. The box arrived within the shipping time frame, but it was the wrong quantity (4lbs instead of the 20).

Nothing on my order receipt displayed the quantity ordered, and I had to get WalMart help to confirm that I had correctly ordered the right quantity. Why WalMart. com and AMI Ventures can’t communicate properly I don’t know.

Unfortunately the third party seller did not see this and initially refused to admit an error had occurred. They want a 25% restocking fee and me to pay for return shipping, calling it ‘buyers remorse.

Bought dark before and again, tried the Belgian, it’s wonderful, immediately reordered. First order came faster than I expected, but second order is taking longer! Used to buy the dark from a local restaurant supply, that went out of business, after decades, just before covid.

The product performed as advertised. It melted and worked fine in my Wilton chocolate fountain. However, the product was melted together in a large clump and had bloom on the chocolate. I’m not sure where the improper storage happened, but it was disappointing.

Given the price I expected better.

Chocolate pro melting wafers are a delicious milk chocolate. I used these wafers to make turtles this Christmas. The easiest I’ve ever used. The turtles were a hit !!! I’m looking forward to trying the other flavors also.

The Wilton’s Chocolate worked well when dipping the pretzels. Easy for even kids. Was a family activity and everyone had fun. Kids dipped and decorated pretzels. It heated easily and was smoothe in texture.

This product was very easy to use! It melts quickly and tasted great!! I did not use it in a chocolate fountain, I used it to decorate baked goods. I will definitely be using this product in the future.

This was the best melting and best tasting melts. Used a Wilton’s dipping pot and they were the best to work with. Wish they had other colors or offered a coloring that paired well.

Came well packaged and in good time. Easy set up and break down which allows for convenient cleaning. I was worried about the fact that it’s plastic and not metal but the fountain works great. Definitely follow instructions for adding vegetable oil to help consistency of chocolate and allow for easier flow through machine.

Very happy we bought this chocolate fountain! Easy setup, works perfectly, we simply followed the directions! Takes a little time to clean, no biggie though. Used it today for our daughters bday party, will use it at all events going forward! It was running a little slow at first, we just turned it back to warm, then turned the pump back on a few seconds later, and it was flowing perfectly!.

Best $500 I spent on my daughter’s 16th birthday. Worked flawlessly for the five hours we used it everyone loved it. Honestly we should have bought two so we could do cheese in one and chocolate in the other.

I was in the market for a fondue fountain to use for a dessert party at my house. I wanted something that wasn’t too big and didn’ t require using a 5 pound bag of chocolate chips. The looks of this fountain appealed to me, and the fact that it could melt both white and chocolate was a plus.

I ordered this through Walmart. com and received it in record time. I did a trial run on it the night before I planned to use it. Thank goodness I did so! First of all, the fountain looks much better in photos.

The actual quality is poor: the fountain felt too lightweight, the “metal” chocolate pan is actually a coated plastic that looked as if it could snap easily. Melting the chocolate wasn’t too difficult.

HOWEVER, the motor on this fountain is incredibly LOUD! I tested it in my kitchen and I had to raise my voice to be heard over the very annoying and extremely noisy motor drone. Melting the chocolate required using vegetable oil which, in my opinion, is an abomination.

I do not like tainting a good chocolate. The worst part was cleaning the machine which took me 45 minutes!! Getting all the melted chocolate out from the tube and crevasses was an immense hassle. From now on, I’m sticking to the old fashioned fondue pot with a votive candle underneath.

The one positive thing that came out of this was the prompt service from Walmart. com and the ability to return the item to my local Walmart store which has a great customer service department and a great return policy.

Being able to use two distinct chocolates at the same time makes this fountain AWESOME for being able to do themes. Sure you can do milk (or dark) and white like the picture, which is nice (I did that the first time I used it), but it’s SO fun to use white chocolate and colorings.

For Christmas I did half red and half green. It was such a hit that I’ve been looking for another excuse to use my fountain with two colors. I’ve got one this weekend with the Super Bowl. I’m going to do red & blue.

The first time I used the fountain I used store bought chocolate and added several cups of oil to make it run. It was okay but kinda nasty. When I thought of the coloring idea for Christmas I did research and found a company called Chocoley that has chocolate that works perfectly in a fountain without oil (tastes amazing, looks beautiful), and they’ve got all of the special colorings that work with it too.

Tried and tested, I’m sticking with them forever for my fountain chocolate.

Since the cost of pure Madagascar vanilla extract has increased, I switched to this product only for cakes and pastries that use vanilla to enhance other flavors. This has worked well for me and it’s much more economical.

I stick to the pure extract when vanilla is the main flavor. My only suggestion is the label on the bottle should fit the label on the website: “Madagascar Bourbon Natural Vanilla Flavor, 2 Fold” – but the label says “Extract” – which can be confusing.

However, it helped that I was able to look back on previous purchases.

This is the best flavoring I have ever had. I am addicted! I particularly am in love with cinnamon tea. I brew my tea, add a bit of half-n-half and a teaspoon of this flavoring per tea glass along with my stevia sweetener.

It is delicious! It’s good in my coffee too, but I mostly drink tea. I often had put the cinnamon powder in my beverages, but it mostly sank to the bottom. It’s so nice to have a liquid I can fully taste!.

Heads up: I never leave reviews but I had to leave one now because this flavor is/was awful. BEWARE. I ordered it on Sept 30th, 2020 and after opening it, it turned me off. And believe me, I have a collection of Olivenations extracts and love them all.

I never used it until today. It still had a very strong alcohol smell and another odor that doesn’t even remind me of pecans and I’m from the south. I went ahead and used 1/4 teaspoon today in the cookie part of the recipe only because I came back and read a few positive reviews.

It ruined it. Never again, it went straight to the trash and so did my Chocolate Chip, Pecan, Coconut, Cookie Cheese Cake Bars. Very disappointed in this flavor. I hope this helps someone.

This chocolate fondue fountain is awesome! It looks so neat, it simple to use and keeps the chocolate warm and flowing. It is perfect for our large gathering!

Material are fragil, east to break,cleaning is not so easy, we cant remove the steel base,chocolate must be melted before pouring in the fountain, this is a doble work melting chocolate. It is better to pour the chocolate and the machine should be melt the chocolate.

Zunächst mal zum Hauptvorteil des Geräts: Die separate Schaltung von Heizung und Förderschnecke ist absolut genial – so kann man die Schokolade warmhalten und die Förderung pausieren, sodass eventuelle Luftblasenbildung in der Förderschnecke verhindert wird, ohne dass die Schokolade erkaltet.

Meine Erfahrung mit dem Schokobrunnen war eher durchwachsen. Die Schokolade lief definitiv nicht so schön flüssig runter wir auf dem Bild, und das obwohl wir sie im Backofen vorgeschmolzen und eine stattliche Menge Öl hinzugefügt haben.

Es hat sehr lang gedauert, bis die Schokolade endlich oben aus der Förderschnecke kam, der Fluss war auch nicht sonderlich gleichmäßig. Was ebenfalls ein wenig unschön war, war auch die Lautstärke der Förderschnecke.

Fast so laut wie ein kleiner Stabmixer. Einen größeren Aufwand gab es bei der Reinigung: Der “Turm” und die Förderschnecke ließen sich problemlos in der Spülmaschine reinigen, auch wenn ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob das zu empfehlen ist – soll man laut Anleitung glaube ich nicht.

Das Becken am eigentlichen Gerät lässt sich aber nicht abnehmen und muss vorsichtig von Hand gereinigt werden. Natürlich darf man es dabei nicht komplett ins Wasser tauchen und muss aufpassen dass kein Wasser an die Unterseite, die Schalter etc hinkommt.

Die Ränder des Beckens sind etwas grob verarbeitet, sodass sich die Schokolade an den Kanten und Fugen festsetzt und teils mühevoll mit einem Zahnstocher entfernt werden muss. Insgesamt habe ich bestimmt zwei Stunden für die Reinigung gebraucht.

Hier sollte man sich echt etwas einfallen lassen.

TranslateShow in original languageWir haben den Schokobrunnen fr einen Kindergeburtstag gekauft. Er besitzt zwei Schalter um Heizung und Motor getrennt von einander zu betreiben. Die Heizung des Schokobrunnen ist etwas unterdimensioniert.

Wir haben ca 800 Gramm Kuvertre vorher im Topf erhitzt da die Schokolade sonst im Schokobrunnen vermutlich Tage gebraucht htte um zu schmelzen. Wir haben den Brunnen unter einem Pavillion drauen genutzt.

Wenn es dort nicht warm genug ist, schafft es die Heizung des Brunnen nicht, die gesamte Kuvertre flssig zu halten und am Rand der unteren Schale wird die Schokolade schnell hart wenn man sie nicht mit einem Spatel stndig in die beheizte Mitte schiebt.

Kleinste Windstsse lassen die Schokolade aus dem Brunnen direkt auf den Tisch nebeln. Dennoch hat es Spass gemacht und die Kinder fanden das Teil gut. Das Reinigen ist allerdings umstndlich, da man nur den Aufsatz abnehmen kann.

Die untere Schale ist mit dem Elektronikunterteil fest verbunden und erschwert so mit das reinigen enorm.
