Overall I am satisfied with this tuner. I like the fact that is does have a screen to see real time info and changing the tune is relatively easy. Installation was a little cumbersome but it was easy.

For performance gains it’s not mind blowing but it is fun. You can tell a difference when changing the tunes. The only issue I have is that not all the options it says it can do work on all vehicles.

They say that is the case on their website but you do not know until you have it installed.

It’s a hassle to get setup, when parts used are cheap, you need to pretty much use your own stuff to hook up. USB to SD mini don’t work, need to have one or get one. The fuse clip will not fit in fuse panel.

New vehicles don’t like it when you tap into it either. If your on rough road or offloading, don’t expect it to stay connected to the holder provided. Should come with a way to install it in the piller.

Cost extra.

Vehicle: 2015 Ford F250 6. 7 Diesel I came to this programmer a little skeptical. I had a different device installed on my truck before this and it’s failure caused some real headaches resulting in the truck shutting down while towing a heavy trailer on the interstate.

I was lucky that no one ran into me. After a few more rounds of “reduced power”, check engine lights and some diagnostic costs we traced it back to the other programmer, which was wired into the truck under the hood.

I took it out and immediately noticed the decrease in fuel economy and power, but also immediately realized the increase in reliability. That said, I wanted my fuel economy back. Enter the Banks Power Automind Programmer.

Honestly I was NOT going to purchase any new device for my vehicle. I was discouraged by my previous purchase and thought I’d simply live with the truck in stock form, but the Banks name, and a recommendation from my trusted service center encouraged me to give this a try.

The device comes with some advantages, one of which is that it is not a piece of hardware that’s constantly connected to the truck. I can run the program I want into the computer, unplug this thing and drive away.

That’s really appealing, and it appears to work. With the economy tune in place I pick up about 3 MPG over stock, and with the work / tow tune in place throttle response while towing is greatly improved.

The truck, in stock form, does not lack for power, but how the power is delivered leaves something to be desired. The programming in this device seems to solve most of that and I notice both better response from the engine and better fuel economy.

The advantage of having everything remain stock in appearance and connection is the reason for the one disadvantage that I can note about the device, and it’s something that I knew about it when I purchased it.

I can’t change these tunes on the fly. To change the tune in the truck I have to stop, shut the engine off, and run the correct program in. This only takes a few minutes, but it’s inconvenient compared to just having a switch on the dash.

I’ve now used it for about 5000 miles of driving, both loaded and unloaded and the performance has been perfect. All-in-all this has been a good purchase and I recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, inexpensive, unobtrusive device to make their truck perform a bit better.

Read the complete owners/installation book that was provided with the Auto Mind. Went to install it, a code came up. I thought it was a previously installed program and called my local Ford dealer to find out much it cost to have my PCM “flashed” to stock.

$300. 00. They couldn’t do it for a week. So I called Banks Tech Line. I talked to Ben, told him my story. After some discussion, he asked me if I would wait for an hour while he downloaded a file for me on the Banks Update website.

I missed his call, but it was uploaded, so I loaded it on my Auto Mind. Ben left a voice mail with very exact instructions on how to do it and his # in case I had problems. It worked perfectly, went right into my PCM just like the instructions said to do it.

I installed the “sport” program and drove it. Unbelievable power increase! I am “piloting” a new truck now! Ben saved me $300 bucks that I can now put towards a Banks Power Elbow! Thanks to Gail, Ben and all of the crew that make Banks the outstanding company that it is.

I’ve driven LLY and LBZ Duramaxes for years and living in Michigan they all rot out, I bought a low mileage clean 7. 3 diesel out of Texas, While I knew the technology was different between the old 7.

3 and the duramaxes I’ve owed I was really disapointed with how slow the throttle response was and lack of power in general from thr 7. 3. I did the 6637 filter mod and muffler delete and installed the Banks Automind tuner, installing the tunes are easy and it totlayy changed my outlook on the truck, it shift points are better, makes plently of power / torque and can get to cruising speed with ease now.

The real test will be hooking it to my enclosed car hauler whicj I’ll be doing in the coming days. Thank you Gale Banks for the work your company does, it took a truck I was going to sell due to lack of power and transformed it.

Newer trucks have a built in tow mode setting, but if you own an older truck that is in good condition this is an excellent upgrade. I own a 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the 5. 4 triton 2 valve/ cylinder and the 4R100 automatic transmission.

I’ve owned it since December of 2003. The previous owner had a Superchips added for towing in June of 1999, the type that plug into the back of the computer. It had fifteen sets of jaws that clip onto fifteen inlaided circuit lines in the circuit board.

After 22 years those clips wore into the circuit lines destroying them. So I purchased and installed a remanufactured computer programmed off my trucks vin. I noticed a significant lose in towing ability, but also noticed that it shifted smoother when not towing.

Technically has changed and now you can have both. So I purchased the Flashpaq. I first tried the Performance mode, but didn’t like it , it is to strong and shifts to hard for my liking. So I used the Mileage XS setting.

It performs well and shifts smoothly. I set my truck for Heavy Tow mode when towing my R. V. It is even better than the old Superchip. Truck seems stronger, shifts smoothly and holds longer on an up hill grade before the need for the transmission to down shift.

When I’m done towing I reset to Mileage XS. I’m not interested in mileage so much as I am in how it runs and shifts Couldn’t be more satisfied.

I added this when I installed the RC Cat-back. I immediately noticed improvements on all fronts. MPG went up. Throttle response improved. Power and torque both definitely improved. Last night while driving on the freeway, while making a lane change, I put my foot into it a bit and the truck downshifted as it accelerated.

It was a bit of a surprise to me how the truck responded because I’m used to the ride without the chip. Really felt the power come through. I can’t be sure of this but it felt like the back end broke loose a bit.

I was using the 87 octane map. The truck tows my boat just fine on stock but the experience and power delivery is so much better on the superchip. Shift points are spot on and all the power seems to be just sitting there in the immediate background waiting to be used.

San Vicente Reservoir in San Diego has a really steep hill at the entry. Again, my stock truck handles it fine, but it feels effortless on the superchip. Not paid to write the review. I just really like the product.

After putting 295/70r17s on my truck, it took a freakin nose dive regarding its power and highway speeds. It was a turd and made me second guess going with bigger tires. I still plan on regearing it but for now this programmer has 100% satisfied the issues.

I can tell you this thing works. I have only used 87 setting and set my tire size and stock gear ratio 3. 55. Well worth it. The truck feels way better with this childish tires lol. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s not going to fix it 100%.

It definitely isn’t stock at 60+ with accelerating. But there are certain hills in my area that really pushed the truck with the bigger tires and the before and after with the programmer was certainly noticeable.

Again, don’t expect to do burnouts if you can’t already do them, but if you just put some bigger tires on your truck and don’t wanna tell your wife you kinda don’t like the way the truck feels now after dropping $1600 on some new shoes for it, get this.

IšverstiShow in original languageThe reason for me ordering the DiabloSport Predator 2 tuner was to hopefully adjust some of the shift points and make for a smoother ride in my 2016 Chevy Colorado. Visited the DiabloSport website after reading a lot of good things about the Predator 2 and verified that it would work with my vehicle.

Also went on the Summit Racing website and it listed this tuner as well as being compatible with my truck. Shipped the following day and received it without any problems. Unfortunately when I went to start the tune (after already going through the update as specified in the manual), it comes up with an error saying it is missing the tuning file for my model and make of truck.

Went through the update process again just to make sure everything was current and got a message from DiabloSport that the file for tuning my truck is not available at the time and that I would be notified via email when it was available.

After some time researching this problem on Google and various forums, it is apparent this is a common problem with DiabloSport. There are people that have been waiting over a YEAR to receive the files for their vehicle and have yet to receive them.

Needless to say, if you are looking to purchase this tuner, don’t believe either the DiabloSport website or the Summit Racing website because they are not accurate. Returns process has taken a little over a week to receive the credit to me credit card.

While I place most of the blame on DiabloSport, I feel as those Summit Racing should make sure that the products they say will for certain vehicles, actually work for those vehicles.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought mine hoping to tune my 01 C-5. It never would do right. I called holley ( holley ownes the preditor) They said call back in three days which I did. They said they had put a new program in the unit and when I installed it that it would work fine.

I installed it and it was just as bad if not worse than before. You would be better off to open the window of your car and throw the money out at least you would know what happened to it. I paid taxes and all over 350.

00 for the one I have and then I had to pay a man 250. 00 to tune my car. I would be very happy to sell mine foe 100. 00. Any takers??? J U N K ! ! ! ! ! I am sure there are those that say it is a great piece at a great price and that it works perfect.

I am surely not one of those. Buy at your on risk and hope for the best.

IšverstiShow in original languageOur fuel mileage on our 2016 Sierra was 15. 9 under the best conditions and highway driving. After tuning we are getting 21. 9 steadily and that’s one of our reasons for getting a tuner.

This tuner isn’t going to make your truck a hot rod but it will eliminate the AFM that bounces from V4 to V8 all the time. It tows our 6000lb trailer so much better now since we changed shift points and transmission pressure no more hesitant shifts it’s exactly what we needed for our uses.

2018 F150 ecoboost with 2019 Raptor 35″ (34. 5″ actual diameter) tires and wheels. Like some others I had to set the tire diameter to 33. 5″ to get speedometer to match GPS speed on my phone. The good – – I liked that I could lower the TPSM on the rear only to accommodate the lower air pressure I run, I don’t carry many loads and lower the pressure in the rear tires to get even tread wear and better ride.

The bad – – I didn’t like that after putting in the correct 34. 5″ tire diameter the speedometer was now off showing 5 mph fast at 65 mph. – After changing the TPSM to 33 psi my warning light came on the next morning (after letting the tires cool over night).

I went back in to lower it to 32 but it showed the stock value at 35psi when it was already changed it to 33psi. It does the same for the tire diameter. So you need to write down the values after changing them so if you need to go back in you know where your at.

So Superchips if you can have the Flashcal show your new inputted value when going into that field it would be nice.

I installed the Superchips Flashcal in my 2017 F350 with a power stroke diesel. What an amazing upgrade. The speedometer is calibrated perfectly and TPMS is no longer an annoyance. I do have to be aware of the throttle response when leaving a stop light as the rubber on my rear 35” tires barks if I am bit easy on it.

Not a real problem that I don’t like just a lot of horsepower with when using the programmer.

Just went up 2 inches on tire size for F150. Knowing that my speedometer and shift points will be off, I researched calibration tools and the Flashcal came out on top. Instructions were easy to understand and making the needed adjustments on the device was a breeze.

Got truck dialed in within 15 minutes. Best feature is that I can update device to a tuner at a later date.

I got this for my 04 Ram 5. 7. Seat of Pants: Out of the box, there’s a noticeable seat of the pants difference; especially if I floor it. Performance: This tune is moderately stronger at part throttle as well.

No noticeable improvement in shift quality, and at higher RPMs the shift quality is actually worse, ostensibly because of the added power. After about 5 tanks of gas since install I can say I’ve gained about 1.

0-1. 2 MPG around town, and 2. 2-2. 5 MPG highway. The MPG increase I consider a small offset for having to run 91 to achieve those results. Bang for Buck: I consider this a good product for someone who doesn’t know how to, or invest the time into tuning the vehicle yourself, so that being said I feel like the price point is significantly higher than I would feel is warranted by the customizability of the tune.

I’m sure a lot of the cost has to do with the interface, which admittedly I don’t have much use for, so the value could be there for someone else, but not me. For the price point to be warranted for me, I would expect a self learning mode to self optimize the tune.

Overall: 4 stars; noticeable positive results, but not to warrant the cost IMO, and lack of customization, particularly for shift parameters (*Note this is an 04 NGC3 PCM truck, an 07+ w/NGC4 PCM should have more customizable options, so your results may be different).

Installed on 2001 K1500. All complete stock except for lift and tires. Tired of always doing the math that 60 meant 67mph 35 meant 40 and 30 meant 35. Solo wanted something that would display information from engine and transmission.

And the trinity was able to do what I needed it to. My tire size has been recalibrated and it reads perfect just measure tire instead of believing the 35 on the sidewall and all this good information that usually requires a scan tool that has live data to read is in your hands and you can customize the information to read In gauges.

It can also connect to wifi which made install and updates easy. This is a decent product for someone that just want to know information and change some settings to someone with a nice sports car that wants to modify the ecms map to get a little more horsepower.

Great tuner, had issues with it at first draining my battery/batteries. Worked with Diablo on the phone and figured it out. Ended up being a bad cell in my main battery. They sent a replacement that ended up showing it wasn’t the tuners fault.

Only thing I do not like is it doesn’t show the screen without touching it when I get in. Turns off and doesn’t draw power when key is off.

Check your battery voltage before programming and I highly recommend the use of a constant voltage power supply while programming. I used a standard battery charger to maintain battery voltage when I tried to tune my truck because I know programming is not quick process and that’s what I have at the house.

The first part of the process seemed to work, extracting the stock tune but when it tried to upload the aftermarket tune to my PCM it failed and had an error code 110DB. This left my truck immobile. Turn the key and nothing happens.

Assuming this was a problem with the tuner, I spent half the day on the phone with tech support while they remotely inspected and updated the BDX firmware using TeamViewer. Tech support was very helpful but in the end they could not see any reason on their side that would cause it to error and fail to program.

They said to try it a few more times to see if it would work. I did with no luck. They told me the last thing I could do is to send them the tuner and my PCM via overnight shipping at no cost to me so they would program it there.

I did not want to do that and since I have access to Ford IDS and have plenty of experience reflashing modules, I figured I’d just reflash my PCM with as built data from Ford. So I bring the IDS and a constant voltage power supply from work.

I hook up the power supply and decide to try the tuner one more time to see if voltage was the issue. and It worked flawlessly. My battery was the original battery and although I had no performance problems from it it was at the end of its life.

This paired with my charger that fluctuates voltage caused the program to fail. Note: the BDX showed a voltage of 13. 2v. Which is the first thing tech support asked. Unfortunately the voltmeter is only going to read the average voltage of the fluctuating output of the standard battery charger.

I will say that in the past I have used a standard battery charger while programming modules and it has worked fine and I suspect that if I had a good battery in my truck to start with it would have worked as well.

Adequate voltage is very important for any module reprogramming. As for the tuner it’s self, I like it. The throttle response is great. Right now I’m running the 87 performance tune. When I fill up next I’ll be trying the 93 tune.

5star’s tune does everything that’s advertised. However, I’ve had several key issues as noted in this review. Drivability: The first thing I noticed after installing the tune was a strong exhaust smell in my garage when parking my truck.

I assume this is due to running rich. I also noticed any time I decelerate, I feel my truck shudder hard as it downshifts. It’s noticeable enough that my passengers have mentioned it to me. After several attempts to contact 5star, someone answered and I was told they would send me an updated tune and that I should try a different tune in the meantime (I had the adaptive tune at the time).

So, I switched to the daily tune. The same drivetrain shudder existed here too. On this tune, on the hwy I did a WOT pull while passing a car. While WOT, suddenly I felt a large drop in power and my gauge cluster flashed a message saying “pre collision assistance not available” and my check engine light came on.

At this point the truck seemed to be in limp mode. The rest of the trip back home, the vehicle was in a low power mode and would not shift gears correctly. The previous mentioned shudder happened every single time I let off the gas pedal.

I hooked up my SCT tuner to check the codes and they were P0068(MAF Throttle Position) & P0471(Exhaust Pressure Sensor). I set the vehicle back to stock and the truck ran fine at that point. Days later I applied the prev mentioned updated tune to address the shuddering drivetrain.

I can’t say I really noticed any change here and at this point I had been trying to call 5star tuning for several days to talk through my issues. As of now, I’ve called them a dozen times, left a voicemail and sent an email all with no human response.

Fuel economy: I recently drove out west from the east coast and tested my fuel economy with the updated adaptive tune applied. I used mid-grade fuel (89-east, 87-west). The weather was great and the drive had little traffic.

I avg’d 17. 3 MPG over 1500+ miles of interstate driving. Upon arriving, I decided to remove the tune hoping my fuel eco would go up. On the return leg the vehicle was set to stock and you can see I avg’d 19.

1 MPG. Note, the return trip started with an hour of stop/go traffic. Then, through the entire great plains, there was very heavy wind that negatively affected my fuel eco significantly. Also, I used regular gas (85-west, 87-east).

I used cruise control on both legs of the trip and had it set btwn 78-83 depending on speed limit.

Tuner was an easy install. Within 50 miles noticed several improvements. Power was definitely improved and fuel mileage appears to be much better. Of course more miles is needed to establish a good review for mileage.

I will update this post. Again power gain is there noticed a high difference going up hill.

IšverstiShow in original languageI was looking for something to reprogram my speedometer for bigger larger tires on my truck. This programmer does that! You just have to know what the tire height is (exactly) and it does the rest.

As a side benefit (for me) it also has preprogrammed tunes for your truck, ranging from economy (which I used), to power, towing, and performance. The only drawback is that is only works with 1 vehicle at a time and you would have to reset your truck back to factory settings, in order to program something else (it is VIN Locked).

The price is reasonable for the preset tunes and tires, you can also program shift points for your auto trans, if you wish. Myself, I used the Economy tune and it has changed the shift points for me.

I can still use “Tow/Haul” mode on my shift selector, without effecting anything. Overall, my fuel economy is slightly better, on my 2500HD Silverado, driveability seems better and the speedometer is correct again!.

IšverstiShow in original languageSo got this tuner in 2 days in the mail took it out of the box it came with good instructions, liked that it explained what all the tuning does. I hooked it up and it was pretty easy to understand.

I let my car run at idle for 10 mins noticed right away the idle was much more constant no drop off when the engine warmed up and smooth. My exhaust for sure sounded louder and more rumble to it ! So went to drive it on the road and wow the throttle response, was there and the power on a performance tune no lag got up to speed much faster and shifted quicker.

Pros: Good price for it Noticed the increased power/torque Lightweight Cons : You can only use this on one car or you will need to go back to your stock tune or to use the scan feature on a other car/truck.

Weird it says just performance tune not one for 91 or 93 but it does say just use both gas grades.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ve had the tuner for a couple days now and it definitely woke my 02 gt up. Just got the car and it was bone stock auto convertible just for driving back and forth to work every day.

Don’t really ever plan on trying to make big hp with this car since I’ve already got other cars for that. I have the sctx4 in my 08 3v and I’d say it’s definitely better especially having the capabilities of having custom tunes sent to it.

But if you don’t plan on ever getting a custom tune or just want an extra little bump in power this thing will do it and it’s over $100 cheaper than the sct. It’s very easy to use and id say the claims of 30hp and 40ft lbs of tq are pretty close with this thing.

I’m using the 91 performance tune and also adjusted my shift points up and the shift pressure up. The car went from running a 15. 2 @ 90mph to a 14. 6 @ 97mph. I did add a cheap eBay cold air intake along with the handheld but that was it.

Trying to get the car down in the 13’s that should be plenty for an every day work car. Plan on doing a j-mod and 4. 10’s next. Also have a 75mm tb, sve intake plenum, tb spacer, and intake plenum spacer doubt those mods help with much but they were cheap which is the whole concept of this little project.

But back to the handheld it’s definitely worth the money if your car is basically stock and you just want an extra little boost in power and never plan on going with a custom tune.

Surprisingly the best thing I have done for my Mustang this far. I bought it so I could change my rear gear ratio, but before I got to that I added the 93 octane tune, disabled traction control, bumped up the rev limiter and adjusted the fan controls to a lower temperature because I was seeing the needle move a little hotter on WOT pulls.

Couldn’t believe how much this woke up my car and how much smoother everything seemed to run. Once I add in the 3. 73s this will be a totally different car. Was not expecting this from a box tune but with the bolt ons I have it worked wonders and the adjustment to my fans kept the temp needle from moving.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the instructions don’t match the computer software to update the device and the computer software looks like it’s from 1997. In 2022 they should be able to vastly improve this interface and have the instructions match the buttons available on the screen.

Otherwise incredibly happy with this product. Mods for Reference: Accurate 70mm TB/Plenum, JLT fenderwell CAI & Oil Separator, Flowmaster Catback. 93 Octane tune that was preloaded on the device worked great with these basic bolts ons.

I wish someone would have told me to go buy the Bama X4 tuner instead (which is the same price) and you get free tunes for life. SCT customer support won’t help with anything, they just tell you that you’ll have to get a custom tune from somewhere (it’s $500 per tune here locally).

I have a 100% stock ’03 GT, automatic. The SCT x4 description says that you can modify shift points, but they don’t tell you it’s only WOT shift points that are able to be edited. So if you’re going through town where it’s only 35mph speed limit but you had to goose it to get out into the traffic from a stop sign, it won’t shift out of 1st gear until 30MPH because you started off fast to get into traffic and it sees that as Wide Open Throttle for some reason.

(Go drive your car in 1st gear at 30mph and see how annoying that is). The Tuner is good if you’re going to be wide-open all the time, that’s for sure. But if you only do the track 2 days a month and drive everyday in a small town with no big speed limits, it’s not great.

Maybe it’s better if you have a 5spd, but for a 4. 6L/Auto, you’re going to need more tunes.

Sct x4 is great, does everything I’ve wanted it to and gives me a live readout of my gauges. I’ve got a 2006 6. 0 dually with 4:30 gears The blessed tunes on the truck did not work for me. All 3 of the tunes made my truck shift extremely hard, all the time with erratic jump of gears.

I asked for the to adjust the tune and they just told me to relearn the transmission. I tried multiple times, no change. Truck also blows black smoke under any load, in all of the tunes and averages 9-10mpg When I return to stock, no more hard shift, smoke or bad fuel mileage.

Fuel mileage goes back to about 13-14. Since switching tuners, I average about 16-17mpg, no smoking or hard shifts.

Overall the installation was easy to do. Couple of minor issues. The instructions are a bit outdated. In section 9 they state to refer to the Banks iQ software and installed kit, owners manual for software installation and operation instruction before beginning section 9 / Automatic Transmission Learning.

No such instructions came with the unit. Called tech support and they said the truck just needs to be driven in each power level before putting a heavy load on it so the transmission will learn when to shift.

No software installation is necessary. Seems the instructions are outdated and need to be revised. Next issue was feeding the cable through the existing harness grommet as per the instructions. The existing harness is very tight going through the feed through.

I was worried that I would rip the Banks cable connectors off the wires while trying to pull the through. Also it’s very hard to get to from the inside of the cab. I opted to drill a hole in the firewall in a more convenient location and add my own grommet.

This worked very well and was much easier. Last issue is the mounting velcro for the tuner. The glue on the back of the pads would not stay secure and just kept peeling off. I put additional glue on the pads.

So far so good. The superguage is great, easy to set up and install. Overall I’m very satisfied. Gave it 4 stars since Banks needs to update their instructions and provide better mounting for the tuner.

After install into 2019 Ford F-250 6. 7 did see some big improvement but it started throwing a regen code immediately. Several calls to support and eventually they “submitted a ticket” because nothing worked to stop the code.

When in stock mode, the code doesn’t come back. Followed up several times to no avail. Can’t get money back even though the unit seems to be faulty. Very expensive paper weight and the company obviously doesn’t stand by their product.

Make sure you read the disclaimer at the bottom of the site before buying. Bought this product with the unlock cable. After installing on my truck it seemed as though I had less power. Tried to down load the unlock program and it locked my pick up and would not start.

Had to contact the support group only to find out that this tuner will not work on my truck because it is deleted. Now I can’t return it and I’m stuck with a $500 piece of plastic.

THIS DEVICE IS NOT A DELETE DEVICE LIKE IT SAYS. THIS DEVICE ONLY TUNES YOUR ENGINE. HAD I KNOWN THAT. I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. I HAD TO GO GET MY TRUCK DELETED AND TUNED SOMEWHERE ELSE. SO I ENDED UP PAYING SOMEONE TO DELETE AND TUNE MY TRUCK BECAUSE BULLY DOG HAD FALSE ADVERTISING.

I Bought this chip for my 96 F-350 4dr 5spd dually primarily for towing my 5th wheel camper that when loaded weighs 13000+ lbs. This chip has given me a totally different truck. It Really wakes up a powerstroke, providing other upgrades are done also.

I had already done away with the factory airbox and installed a high flow intake filter conversion and aftermarket down pipe with a 4″ straight exaust system. I installed a pyrometer, and boost gauge along with the chip so I can monitor the boost and exaust gas temperature.

I installed the chip in about an hour with no trouble at all. If I had one bad thing to say about the chip it would be that there is no faceplate for the switch to let you know what position it is in at a glance.

Chip makes good power on my stock 97, only intake and exhaust mods. 50 HP tune is great for driving and plowing snow, shifts are great. 75 HP and up make good power but shifts aren’t the greatest. High idle is a nice feature too.

Can’t go wrong on these ts chips. Make sure computer board is totally clean or truck won’t start. Ts tech support says terminals need to be to copper, instructions don’t say this.

I installed this chip in my 95′ powerstroke with auto transmission. This chip does give the truck more power but the power is useless because it weakens and changes the shift points. Slips between every gear and hesitates between shifts, my transmission has a shift kit and as soon as I remove the chip it shifts crisp like it should.

TS performance has poor customer service and won’t do anything to help fix this issue. Overall really disappointed with this chip, dont buy this if you have an automatic unless you want your transmission destroyed from sloppy weak shifts.

IšverstiShow in original languageFord didn’t include regen info data on 2016 Lariat and higher models. I purchased derringer/data monster and now look around regen status, soot percent, and have ability for stationary regen but have not tried yet.

Ability to read and clear codes is huge to me. Derringer is set at level 3 with 30hp/120lb ft added. Turbo lag gone. Mileage same to slightly better. Truck is very smooth. Data guage has too many functions to list.

Tire size/speedo correction helpful. Gale Banks videos on various topics, particularly air density help show the value of the guage. Banks products work as promised and are safe. I will never trust my expensive engine to anyone but Banks.

IšverstiShow in original languageLove it! I even switched out my throttle controller for a pedal monster when I learned it’s controlled with the data gauge. I put on the Banks Derringer and tuner/gauge/pedal monster, cold air intake and rear differential cover and I am so impressed with this company.

I did it all in stages and so I was able to feel the difference that the tuner and pedal monster made, then the CAI. Let me tell you, I’ve put on numerous CAI’s before (first Banks one though) and it is the first time I could actually feel a marked difference in performance.

All the others were like “maybe I feel something. ” Plus I love that it doesn’t increase noise at all in the cab. Great job Banks! I’m sold 100%!.

IšverstiShow in original languageBest truck performance part i have purchased for my truck. Firstly the Derringer Tuner itself. There’s a big difference when you run stock vs. any level on the Derringer.

Their seemed to be a bit of a lag stock. Not anymore. If I press the gas pedal she’ll scoot pretty good for an otherwise stock truck. Now the DataMonster. I already cheated because I have had purchased a SuperGauge prior to this.

So I already had a good idea on how to use it. At first silt can be a bit much with all that you can monitor. But because I was able to Monitor so many parameters at the same time. I was able to catch my alternator going out in my pick up before it even became an issue.

It’s great pulling up so much info on my truck. This gives me a better idea on where my truck is getting robbed of power. Great product over all.

Installed in 15 months day it arived downloaded stage 2 noticible power difference better mileage two days later downloaded stage 3 more power picked up a mile or two more. This truck is running the way it should.

The second download took about 5 min. Less things to enter after the first download. If your looking for more power and much better mileage, this is fire you.

I like this product but it cost more than I wish I did for something thats just a plug-in tuner. It doesnt have any kind of cages or anything and as good as it is I think the SCT tuner which is of comparable price, can be used after initially plugging it in which is more enjoyable in the long run.

Also I wish that the head protector wasnt made it to my truck so that I could buy it and use it and then sell it if I want to do so.

I purchased the Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for my 2003 Ford F-250 Powerstroke. My main interest was to improve my fuel milage, however, I also wanted to improve my towing performance with my 11,000 lb 5th wheel camper.

I decided to install power level 3 first and give it a try. It took about 30 minutes to load and then I took it for a test drive. WOW! It certainly impressed me with the new found power it gave me on the off ramp.

I have run two tanks of fuel through it and it has averaged about 18 mpg which was about the what I was getting before. I haven’t had a chance to pull the camper yet, but I look forward to it. I have since loaded power level 1 just to see what the milage will average with that setting.

I am on my first tank and my trip computer is setting on 21 mpg. I know this will be lower actually, but so far it seems it will help out with my 60 mile roundtrip every day to work. So far call me. Hyper-satisfied! Great product and easy to install.

I have a 2019 F150 with the 3. 5 twin turbo, rated at 375HP. I modified the intake with an open filter, which added a bit of power. My wife’s car uses Premium, as do our motorcycles, so I put Premium in my truck also.

Even without a tune, it does help. Then, I bought this. Using the 93 Performance tune, it really adds a lot of zip! It took about 5 minutes to install the tune (and about 5 minutes to revert back when I take it into the dealer for service, don’t forget to do that).

I notice a huge difference in overall kick and definitely smoother shifting. I seems like a whole new truck. I should also note that my gas mileage, with the tune, seems to be a bit better than stock.

SO, this gives me better performance and better mileage. This tool is really worth the price.

GMC 2500HD 6. 6L Diesel Denali: This easy to install device definitely delivers the goods. CON: Routing the wire to the cockpit was the most difficult part but I opted to rout via the door jam vice firewall.

PRO: I haven’t noticed a decline in MPGs but finally being able to get up and go when necessary would even be worth the lost of some efficiency. Merging onto a busy highway with the boat or camper has gotten much easier and safer.

Gladly, I didn’t have to give anything up. Just to bypass the warranty headache I unplugged and hid a few wires and survived my first service appointment with the Banks Tuner. AND don’t overlook the critical role of Pedal Monster.

It breathes life into the first 50% of the gas pedal. Summary: Banks releases the power you know exists but cannot achieve in the OEM setup. Looking back, I should have bought this product sooner.

I can feel it on settings 4, 5, and 6 at full throttle. The only time I have ever really used full throttle is to test this device. I pull a 46ft fifth wheel toy hauler loaded to 18k lbs and there is no noticeable difference on setting #3 when pulling it.

The truck pulled the camper fine stock, and only had 25k miles on it. I don’t get in a hurry when pulling that much weight. One problem though. About every 10th time or so I start the truck the derringer fails to power on.

I have found that I have to shut down the truck, open the door, unplug the derringer from the obd plug, plug it back in, and then restart before it will function. An expensive piece of tech to have such a glitch.

Installed the Ram Air 1st, in stick configuration, all OK! Friday installed the peddle monster, i-dash and the derringer. I pulled the MAP sensor – it was cooked up 76k miles. I powered up and instantly got limp home message and MAF sensor P0102.

Looked at MAF, looked OK, but cleaned with sensor cleaner, dried it and reinstalled. I cleared the code by the Idaho. Powered up and still had code + service engine light, set up an appointment with dealer 4 Monday.

Left the peddle monster and idash, removed the ram air and derringer Saturday. Late Sat evening, the MAF code and idiot light were gone (stock configuration). Ran PU 70+ miles today, no codes, ran great, canceled dealer appointment.

I will install the derringer 1st and see if there is any code repeate, then install the ram air and check again. I did some resurch, Saturday evening on the forums, there were guys that had warranty problems at local dealers, running the same setup.

Also, speculation that the freer flowing ram air could confuse the ECU and throw a MAF code. Funny, no code on the plugged MAP sensor. Anyway, that is the plan for Monday, hope all works as planned, want to see how the PU likes the derringer and ram air.

I installed this chip on my early 95 powerstroke. Starts easier with no chugging at start-up. Trk has 268k with no mods other than exhaust. On the lowest setting im averaging 20-23 mpg. Before the chip it was 17-20 mpg.
