This book is incredible! So many times I have been eating take away Chinese food and trying to work out how it was made. The really amazing thing is that when try the recipes, they are surprisingly simple for saying how amazing the results are.

Even with limited skill (amateur cooking enthusiast here), you can make really good restaurant quality food quickly, easily and with little clutter. I highly recommend this book to those who love to cook and love Chinese food.

Very happy with the recipes and photos in this book. Not overwhelming and every ingredient explained. A good text on Chinese cooking.

It’s a hobby, it’s a way to make it better. All of the hints and secrets or outline and easy to do, Vivid detail. Buy this book!

I’m actually writing this review for my husband. He, like every other vet, has used Texas Pete forever! He loves it. This review is not really about the quality or flavor though- it’s about the new lid.

We both hate it! No matter how careful we are, it breaks off. Why did the company have to change the lid??? The old one used less plastic as well.

This has been my favorite hot sauce for years and years. With the shortage on things lately – this (in my area) has been one of the things to just disappear. I used to be able to find bottles of it at Dollar Tree even and now I can’t.

So, I had to order in bulk. It’s not make your nose run, gag hot. It’s just perfect hot. A good taste of vinegar kicks in. If you want a good hot sauce but don’t want to suffer with belly aches after – – try this!.

With a great sale Keurig Supreme, I was hoping to consume more liquids, especially something warm in the cooler months. But not being a coffee drinker, would teas, cider or hot coco get old? Only, I so remembered a tea latte a friend had treated me with once… Not to disappoint! The box of 24 will hardly last, and I came back online, today, to find 96 and only @ $.

50 ea. THIS will be a staple. Yumm! A tad sweet, but oh so flavorful and wonderful. Be sure to sample this Chai tea if you haven’t already. It’s deliciousness has even removed the earlier desire to sample others brands.

BUT Beware!!! My 1st cup with my new Kuerig was awful — SO watered down and thin! NOT a keeper. Thank goodness I decided to open, rinse, stack and store the empties (to help remember when to change the water filter), as the K-cup was still full!!! Even with the new 5-prongs, all the water had just rolled right off the top.

It had to have settled in storage? Or…? The freshness date was good. But the hot liquid had just rolled off, just like rain on hardpan. SHAKING WELL before the next use eliminated the problem….

I really don’t like the taste of coffee, but I like the caffeine. Cafe Express is the only K-cup brand I buy because their coffee doesn’t have that bitter coffee taste, even without me adding anything to it.

I’ve tried other brands, and no matter what the flavor, the distinct coffee taste always overpowers the flavoring. Their caramel flavor is also good, though I like French Vanilla better. My wife (who likes coffee more than me) gets their Mocha flavor.

If not for Cafe Express, I would probably not drink coffee at all. For those of you who, like me, don’t care for the taste of coffee but need a shot of caffeine in the morning, Cafe Express K-cups are the solution.

I have been faithful to Cafe ESCAPE Cafe Caramel ever since I tried it! It has a very distinct taste that is somewhat different from others I tried first! It has a medium Caramel flavor without being too sweet and every cup tastes exactly like the first so no surprises! I do use a creamer with it which is sometimes difficult to find.

I am very finicky about my tastes! I do buy my orders on a recurring basis but this one time I found a 30% discount so I delayed my recurring order and bought the extra sales price item! Keurig makes ordering and still have the ability to change your recurring order anyhow you may need it to be without a penalty! This fits my needs perfectly & this is why I shop via their store ONLY!!.

If you love Chinese food, you have to buy this book. Not only does it demystify a cuisine that defied the home cook, the recipe count is beyond generous. Ingredient and technique info are provided as well.

Excellent cookbook! The layout is simple and inviting. The writing is warm and uncomplicated. It has beautiful pictures. The range of recipes are comprehensive (has all my favorites). This book makes me want to cook!.

It’s beautiful. It’s practical. It’s a window on a fascinating, ancient and healthy cuisine. The recipes are clear and easy to follow. I particularly like Fuschias guidance on less familiar Chinese ingredients.

She’s very frank and honest about how she’s adapted Chinese cooking, too — for example, why she doesn’t use msg.

Mostly salty bean sprouts with chopped up veggies like water chestnuts, celery, carrots, peppers, onions but go really well in hot dishes. as we call them here in Minnesota. Others call them casseroles.

My grandma used this to make her pressure cooker Minnesota chow mein and passed down the recipe to my mom and she uses them as well. I tried them right from the can and they are quite salty which is why I have it as 4 stars but the familiar taste of home brings back so many memories and I can’t wait until I visit mom so she can make it again.

This is a key ingredient to chow mein casseroles or Asian based chicken and rice casseroles.

are a great way to make a nice Asian inspired stir fry. Add a little meat of your choice ( we like beef or pork), some soy sauce and Szchezwaun spice and serve over rice. This met my expectations and beyond.

I’m personally not a fan of vegetables due to allergies but I can actually eat this and not have any problems. It’s affordable, easy to use and is a healthy food choice.

La Choy Asian Style Crunchy Wheat Rice Noodles are so delicious. Difficult to find in grocery stores and if you do, they hardly keep enough on the shelf. This time, I bought two cases. We love them on grilled chicken Asian style salads.

It’s difficult to not eat them right out of the can they are so good. These noodles are really thin. They’re not the thick noodle that mostly sells for chicken choy meing. La Choy is the only company that makes this style of noodle.

I’m obsessed with this soup mix. I couldn’t believe it tastes exactly like restaurant soup. I basically chug the whole thing every time I make it. I do remove the dried green onion with a mesh strainer and add fresh chopped green onion instead.

I’m planning to dress this up with tofu and fresh woodear mushrooms one of these days. Also great poured over bean thread cellophane noodles!!.

I would have stocked up, as it was on clearance, but the sodium is too high, well over the official 20% guideline. Much of the Asian (Chinese, Oriental, etc. ) foods are high in sodium. It is a shame, as the common ingredients (noodles, vegetables, some meats) are mostly healthful.

It would be nice, if these food manufacturers would see the light and start offering more nutritious options. It makes no sense to consume foods that are basically hurting and killing a body.

It has a good flavor but it is not hot nor sour and what is up with the price gouge? Sometimes it costs like $1 a packet then sometimes it’s almost $6. ???? it’s just a small little packet that makes about 2 to 3 bowls of soup.

why the almost $6 price tag?!.

Years ago we loved this product when family camping. Recently thought to try it again. Boy was that a mistake. The is nothing to like about this product. Greasy brown colored weird sweetish flavor few vegetables and beef that looks like dog food.

Complained to the manufacturer and they sent me coupons for more of this stuff. Hard to believe the La Choy folks could transform a pleasant dish into a disgusting mess.

I didn’t have time to stop at my local Chinese restaurant so I picked up these La Choy crunchy noodles at Walmart. The noodles are very thin and super crunchy. I used them as a topper for my Korean spicy pork with vegetables.

I would also use these noodles as a salad topper. I recommend theses tasty to anyone that is craving a crunchy topper.

I love these crunchy noodleswe use them in salads and soups and anything else we can think of. They are nice and thin, not heavy like the other kind. Try them. Dont think you will be disappointed.

I bought this a few weeks ago to make orange chicken. My husband and I love orange chicken, but I can’t eat what he gets from the local Chinese restaurant as I am gluten intolerant. This had an odd bitter taste, and I could not detect an orange flavor at all.

San-J Asian sauces are the ONLY brand I buy for a few reasons: They taste fantastic, they are not loaded garlic (yuck), they are not super high in sodium, they are at a good price point. This orange sauce is not too sweet either.

It is a slightly thick sauce that covers stir fry ingredients just right and does not pool in the bottom of the bowl. Highly recommended!.

This sauce/glaze is GOOD. I salt & pepper some boneless skinless chicken breasts and sautee in some oil until browned on both sides, then transfer to a baking dish, brush on this glaze and finish cooking in the oven till chicken is no longer pink and the glaze is nice and sticky.

Served with rice and broccoli—this makes GREAT chicken.

I received a jar of this in a kit for a cooking class. The very same week I saw Katie Lee use chili crisp in an egg recipe on Food Network which got the ball rolling because I’d never heard of this ingredient before and wasn’t sure how to use it.

I am now completely addicted. It’s like nothing else I’ve ever tasted. I fry breakfast eggs in it and it gives them the most amazing results. The other reviewers are right – you have to thoroughly stir the jar before you use it to get the bits from the bottom mixed in.

It is full of deep umami and packs a punch of flavor and despite being szechuan it is not too hot or spicy. Love it and so glad I can now get it at Target!.

Let me just say that my family and I love the chili crisp. It’s flavorful, and we can’t get enough of it. We like making the vinaigrette from it as well. We’ll likely order it again. The reason I dropped a star is because of the shipping.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend, eager for her to try it out, and the product arrived completely shattered. Hot sauce and chili oil everywhere. This can happen, right? So we tried again. Same thing again.

The shipper does not take care to package this item for shipping appropriately. Just put it in a plastic mailer and send it off with no extra padding, no bubble wrap, nothing. While I credit Fly By Jing for replacing my initial order and then refunding me after the second fail, I really think work needs to be done to ensure quality control on the shipping end.

When you order a product that costs close to $40, you’d think that care would be taken that it arrives intact. Unfortunately this has left a rather sour taste in my friend’s mouth as well, and you’ve lost a potential customer.

This has always been a favorite, and it make it perfect it is important to cook it properly which is not 100% according to the package. My tip: don’t fill up to the recommended water line but do a little less, cook for the 5 minutes, take off lid completely and stir to see if there is water on the bottom, if water is on the bottom then throw back in microwave without cover and do 1 minute intervals until you stir and the water is gone.

The sauce packet is what has changed. For some reason it is not as strong. It is as if when they recently changed the inside package (we noticed the tear off lid, visible only once the outside wrapped was taken off, was the cue to know if you got the new version) they changed the sauce as well as it is just not the same.

To make it taste close to the original version, I recommend buying 2 packages and cook only 1 of them and use both sauce packets in it (and yes throw away the uncooked other noodles). It makes it taste close, but it is still different.

If you happen to get an original recipe, I would rate it 5 stars so it’s a gamble which one you will get when you purchase, but when you do buy get 2 just in case if you get the new version.

Dear Ramen noodles, I love you on my bad days when cooking food for one seems like a stupid and futile exercise. I love you on my great days when I see friends/family and have lots of energy but just want something quick and tasty.

I loved you when you were in a cup on the canteen menu and I had very few choices about ANYTHING in my life. You were one of the few choices that I got to make and I never felt regret about making it.

You are the bomb and I just want you to know! Keep making tastebuds happy and souls who need comforting feel comforted. You rock all day, every day.

This is a pretty tasty alternative to getting actual takeout. It does not taste like high end Asian cuisine, but surprisingly pretty close for being a dried instant Chow Mein. Quick and easy, just add water, microwave for five minutes and add in the teriyaki sauce packet.

The teriyaki is sweet but taste more of the soy sauce. The carrot bits are pleasantly crunchy and sweet. I am looking forward to trying other flavors from this brand.

Whenever I need an extra spicy kick that reminds me of home, I pick this up. It’s got a little taste of garlic as well which I think makes it extra tasty. A whole jar lasts me ages (months, still haven’t finished the jar I bought) since I can’t handle too much spice – I drizzle this over radish cake, rice, stir-fries, and noodles.

I wouldn’t use more than 1-2 teaspoons to drizzle over your food if you can’t handle spice, and suggest you try it before pouring it straight into your food.

I love this oil as a marinade, and often use it in sautee’. For the last couple of years, the price has doubled and has been a bit scarce, so when I found Bokksu I grabbed up a bunch of them. Great service and nothing arrived broken.

I have two cats and my room mate has two and I care for all of them. I read a lot about cat food because although my family got or first couple of days when my sister and I were teens, this is my first cat as an adult.

She is an Arabian Mau and looks like a mini Leopard or Tiger. I also have another female I took in, but don’t know her age. I read ingredients on the food I buy and was happy to see chicken as the first ingredient, plus they all LOVE it.

I just bought 3 bags of it because it vanished from the shelves in every store around me. I recently went into the city (I’m from NY) and checked 7 different stores. All were out of stock so I’ve been forced to order.

In my opinion it is one of, if not the best dry cat food on the market and I have 4 cats that second that.

I’ve been buying this food for my cats for several years now. One time when I was running low and didn’t think I could order from chewy and get it in time, I bought a different food to get them by for a day or two until this food came from chewy.

They wouldn’t touch it! I couldn’t believe it! They waited for their favorite food thankfully, which came really quickly. Chewy has the BEST people without a doubt! I have 1 young cat who eats well and isn’t picky at all. I started him on a non grain kitten food which he loved. When he turned 1, a few months ago, I called my Vet to see if I should switch to the same brand in the adult version.

They said that they aren’t recommending non grain food and agreed that this food would be good. My daughter has been using the Purina Naturals original for a few years. When she has visited with her cat and we had a 3rd cat visiting too all three of them wanted the Purina Naturals Original.

We would put down all three foods and they all went to the Purina Naturals Original. So I’ve stuck with that because I know that he likes it and will eat well.

I have had cats all my life and I find that Purina Cat Chow Indoor is one of the best cat foods for helping to eliminate those awful hairballs. One of our cats has very long hair and gets it the worst during the spring and summer.

My husband brushes her everyday to get rid of the loose fur, however, a cats natural need to clean themselves still causes her to loosen up more fur. Purina Cat Chow Indoor is the best cat food to help her from getting hairballs.

The price of Purina Cat Chow Indoor is in the upper midrange. I wait for sales and try to use coupons if available to get this product. The price is what gives it the 4*’s. The product itself is an excellent product.

we recently picked this up in desperation resulting in a shortage of kitten kaboodle indoor. it turned out to be a very happy accident for us and our large turkish van. shes getting to be 9 now and has gotten a bit more picky about the size of her cat food, as well as the shape of the bites.

after our disaster with whiskas meaty selections Chicken Turkey making our poor cat gain weight in record time, we had to switch foods immediately and since had been feeding her kitten kaboodle with no issues.

one thing about my cat that ive realized for a while now, anything chicken flavored she adores and so i picked up this bag. i had thought that the indoor formula of kaboodle i was getting was fairly small, certainly small enough that she wouldnt have any issues eating.

until she just didnt seem to really run for the bowl anymore. she was eating, but i could tell she wasnt happy with her food like in the past, and had this blah attitude anytime i filled her bowl. “thanks mom, ill eat, but im not excited about it.

” when i put the cat chow bag down she immediately ran over to me and was already trying to help me open it, sniffing the bag with delight. something shes never done with us in the 9 years we’ve had her, unless it where temptations chicken treats.

she proceeded to eat this Purina cat chow indoor chicken flavor with a lot more enthused gusto than with her previous food. she was taking bigger bites, she was more affectionate, and she made sure to say thank you to us after she was done eating multiple times by many leg rubs, head buts, and kisses.

im very happy that shes finally comfortable with a cat food, they are a small flat disk shapes, about the size of a small pea but bc they are uniform and circular, and not complicated and painful odd jacks shapes!(whoever came up with that is just rude at this point), she doesnt have any issues eating her food! this is our new staple and i plan on buying the bigger bag.

I’ve been on the search for decent chow mein noodles without any starchy off-flavor. This brand fits the bill. It has a clean taste and the same (or similar) texture as the restaurant fare. (I like to crisp up the noodles after preparing it as instructed on the package by tossing the noodles in vegetable oil and baking the noodles spread out on a large flat baking pan.

The package serving size isn’t enough for my family, so I have to cook at least 2 (and 3 ideally) to serve. Be sure to buy more than one if you plan of serving more than one person. (Besides, it’s that good such that you want to eat more!).

Love! These noodles have the best taste, the best texture and they cook in 3 mins! Run e under cool water and add to stir fry’s, cold noodle dishes and more! Target, if you can please bring back this wonderful item.

We love these noodles. One of my family’s Favorite Things is stir fry. We have a big family so it works out well to be able to buy them in bulk so they’ll last a while. They are yummy and cook quickly.

Be careful not to overcook them so they don’t get mushy. They are the yummiest when they are a bit firm still. You pre-cook them then add it to your stir-fry. So they continue to be cooked more in the stir fry.

So you do not want to overcook them when you pre cook them according to the package directions.

I just got done eating one of these. I am incredibly picky about my breakfast food, especially sausage and eggs, so I was very sceptical about trying one of these meals. After eating the whole pouch I was so impressed with it I had to write a review about it! Overall it was an excellent meal.

I read other reviews where people had mentioned they had hard pieces of eggs and whatnot, and I don’t know if they didn’t follow the directions right or what but I had no such problems. Everything in the meal had the same texture, consistency, and taste and was so tasty I was incredibly impressed!! No one flavor stood out as I was eating it since every ingredient was in nice small pieces, except for the large chunks of egg, so everything blended well together.

The peppers and onions were not overpowering, the sausage had a great flavor and even the shredded potatoes still had some body to them and were not soggy or mucky as I had expected them to be. I would highly recommend this product and will be buying many more in the future, and since I ate this at home to test it out I can only imagine how much better it will taste when I’m out camping in the middle of nowhere lol.

Besides for camping, these meals have come in very handy at home when the power is out, and have no other means of cooking a full meal, since I can easily boil water over a fire and pour it directly in the pouch!! I’m a back country backpacker so besides the high quality the best part of these meals is the light weight, easy packability, and long shelf life so I can buy them whenever I have some extra cash, throw ’em in the drawer and forget about ’em until I’m ready to head out on an excursion!!.

I was really curious how this would turn out – and it was amazingly good. People need to stop comparing it to grandma’s version — for crying out loud! This is a freeze dried meal, ok??! When I have it, it’s bone-sticking hearty and good.

I think it’s all about water amount control. I’ve had the MH beef stew more than any other of their meals — and most of the times it turns out perfect, but on occasion it turns out soupy and terrible because of it.

My guess is that some packs just don’t get filled enough and then when you add the instructed amount of water, it’s just too much in those instances. So having learned this lesson, I’ve resorted to putting in about 3/4 of the instructed amount of boiling hot water, and stirring it up well.

From there I just eyeball it and add water a little by little to get it to the right looking texture. The seal it and wait. Have some more hot water boiling in case when you open the package to stir a second time and it looks too dry.

Add more boiling water but by bit as needed. This is how I do it now, with better results. Less common I think is where there’s just too much filling — the very first MG meal I had was this way — I used the right amount of water, but it waa a super dry lump of unappetizing dough-lime mass.

Threw it away. But I had bought two of the same pack (Southwestern Skillet), and later I tried it again, but this time added a LOT more water than the instructions and — it turned out really good.

The flavor of this dish is pretty good. The potatoes taste like they were browned before the freeze drying process. The sausage is slightly above average as far as breakfast sausage goes. We always add black pepper.

Sometimes we add a little salt. A packet or two of Tapatio, Tabasco or Cholua always contributes to the dish. Preparation considerations: We add the salt and pepper before we add water. We cut the biggest chunks of egg, sausage and potato in half or thirds so they have more surface area exposed to water to facilitate re-hydrating.

After we add hot water and seal the bag, we fold over the top and wrap insulation around it to keep it hot longer. We stir it half way through soaking. We also let it sit 5-10 minutes longer than the instructions say.

Everything is re-hydrated thoroughly with this method.

Omgosh , I am usually not a cookie creams fan. But I was out shopping and picked these up , the regular chocolate ones, and the strawberry ones. Of course I like the strawberry ones because I love everything strawberry.

I have absolutely nothing to show for them to do a review because I gobble them down. Now back to the cookies and cream, When I tell you they were incredible I am not overdoing it. I buy these for my niece every Christmas and on her birthday and never thought to even try to myself.

They taste just like an ice cream sandwich, which is one of my favorite ice creams , just sayin ‘ These were crunchy and so tasty. I will definitely be grabbing a bunch for me when I shop for my niece I will be grabbing some for this girl too.

I’m not one who enjoys artificial strawberry flavored items but I saw these and had to test them. I am happy I did. These are a new favorite treat. Once I took my first bite I knew I was hooked. The biscuit sticks have just the right amount of crunch and the cream provides a delicious yogurt like flavor.

The cream also complements the artificial strawberry, making it taste even better than your average strawberry. They were so good I couldn’t help but eat them all in one night. At just over a dollar at my local Walmart I say they are worth it.

It averages out to under. 05 cents a stick. Not to mention each stick is under 10 calories which is nice. I know Ill be buying more real soon.

I love this product. Not too sweet. Tastes like a small biscuit dipped in strawberry yogurt (the white chocolate dip). I have to space out the time in which I snack on the Pocky sticks because I can easily eat a package (more, let’s be real) a day.

They’re available on Amazon but I find it cheaper to just purchase from a local grocery store. I want to try their other varieties soon. My kiddo loves them, but I buy this snack just for me.

I tried out this Big Bang Medium Roast Coffee earlier today, the box was super easy to open and the pods went into my Keurig Machine with absolute ease! Upon tasting the brewed coffee I was impresded at the rich and robust flavor, and even though it was black coffee I didn’t taste strong bitterness, it was like a nice freeshly brewed black tea with a classic coffee flavor.

The coffee tasted even better mixed with whole milk and a spearmint tea bag, the combination made for a perfect Mint Cappuccino. Now, I brewed 6 Onces of Big Bang Coffee, I don’t think I’ve really had this much pure brewed coffee in a while and I think I got a bit too much of a caffeine buzz upon near completion of the beverage, so I drank plenty of water to dilute the effects.

I guess I wasn’t hydrated enough before drinking the coffee, also I had a lot of cocoa caffeine the day prior. So, it is a good idea to stay hydrated before and after consumption of coffee and other caffeinated beverages.

The energy factor of the coffee is incredible, I was quite tired before the coffee, however I now feel near wide awake and energized. Overall, the flavor factor of the coffee has a nostalgic rich coffee taste without a strong bitter tone, it is what you would expect premium coffee to taste like.

But, literally, the coffee gave me a somewhat nostalgic feeling, I’ve drank coffee machine brewed coffee back at a hotel some years ago and this coffee tasted just like it. Thank you so much for everything!.

For those of you who will only read a few sentences of this review, let me start by saying that I have no idea what these negative people are talking about…the coffee is plenty dark and coffee-ish and nothing exploded in my machine.

If you’re still reading, here’s the rest of it:I like dark coffee because I add gross chemical French vanilla creamer to it, so if it’s not dark enough it tastes like gross chemical French vanilla creamer.

I call those coffees blank. This coffee is not blank. I also drink way too much coffee so I force myself to buy what I can find on sale. I found this coffee on sale at Christmas time. If I absolutely hate a sale coffee, it becomes my husband’s who is not offended by blank coffee.

This coffee did not become my husbands. In fact, after this coffee returned to regular price, I hid it from my husband so that there was no way he could accidentally drink any. I’m only a little bit mean…he has tons of coffee that I rejected, he did not need this coffee that I would never reject.

I also hate flavored coffee I prefer adding gross chemical French vanilla flavored creamers to coffee, this coffee is not flavored. It doesn’t taste like hot chocolate or whatever these people are complaining about…if it did, I wouldn’t be hiding it from my husband.

In fact, this coffee doesn’t have any extra flavors that random dark coffees can have…no bitterness, no weird metallic undertones, no strange maple syrup aftertaste and no creepy sour top notes bottom notes? Middle notes? Whatever.

That’s quite a feat for a coffee that I purposely add gross fake creamer, to!Try it. It doesn’t suck.

I received this item from @Influenster free of charge for my honest opinion. This was a difficult review for me. I made the @PeetsCoffeeKCupPods in a reputable KCup coffee maker so it was made correctly but I found this coffee to be very bitter.

I tried several of the Peets K-Cups but had to manipulate it to be drinkable and the review not a complete bust. I tried a secret I used for many years and added a sprinkle of salt to cut bitterness but that did nothing.

I had to add more water which helped and also added my milk and sugar before flavors were where I could enjoy. Each time I made the coffee this was the issue. I decided to give my mother one of @PeetsCoffeeKCupPods to try since she drinks multiple cups of coffee a day I wanted her opinion.

She called me a couple of days after and told me she could not finish the cup because it was so bitter. My mom drinks Dark Roast coffee every day so I thought she would enjoy @Peets coffee but not the case.

One more factor I think important. While I enjoy coffee it does not always enjoy me so if I drink several cups the acidity makes my stomach hurt but @Peets coffee did not upset my stomach. I am unsure if it’s because I added water but I want people to judge with all the facts.

Peets K-Cups range from $20 – $45 depending on the number of pods you choose. I would advise individuals of my findings on @PeetsCoffeeKCupPods and allow them to choose based on their individual preferences.

Innovasian’s General Tso’s Chicken was tasty and fairly easy to prepare. Microwave instructions were included, but I wanted to ensure the chicken maintained some of its crunchy exterior. I heated for a little less than 20 minutes in the toaster oven, which gave me the perfect, slightly crunchy exterior.

Adding the warmed sauce tempered the crunch a little, but the exterior of the chicken did not get soggy. The frozen dish only includes chicken and sauce; so I supplemented with fresh brown rice, which cooked in about the same time as the chicken took to bake.

I also added some fresh broccoli and red bell peppers, which i stir-fried with ginger and garlic, and then tossed together with the chicken, in the Tso’s tangy sauce, for an authentic complement to the chicken.

The 1-cup serving size, for three people is a bit skimpy, but the broccoli helped bulk up the serving satisfaction. This is a flavorful addition to or dinner rotation. It did require some effort on my part, making rice and vegetables,to round out the meal; so I rate it 4 stars, since the product is more of a meal starter, since it doesn’t quite stand on its own.

But the flavor and texture were good; so I would definitely purchase again.

I’ve noticed many comments from the past few months about how the current version of the product on the shelf has way less chicken than it normally had in the past. Not only has there been less chicken but the price has increased at my local grocery store.

I LOVED this product and was so excited to have it because I hadn’t had it for awhile. I bought 3 General Tso’s Chicken and have eaten 2 so far and both had pitiful amounts of chicken in them. I haven’t weighed my product but I will be weighing the 3rd one and taking pictures to verify how little chicken is in my package.

I have always recommended this product to people everywhere. Friends and family, the check out person at the grocery store! I always had positive things to say about it. PLEASE fix the amount of chicken in your product.

It is an amazing product for its price as long as you get the normal amount of ingredients.

I am so confused by these positive reviews. I am not a picky eater, and I love cheap Chinese food, but this was just bad. No one in my family of 5 would even eat it. We bought and prepared 3 kinds of frozen asian chicken tonight – Innovasian orange chicken, Innovasian General Tso chicken, and a P.

F. Chang’s spicy chicken. The orange chicken was not good, but the general tso (usually my favorite) was disgusting. No amount of Sriracha could cover it up. I literally washed off the sauce with a sink Sprayer and a strainer and then air fried the de-sauced chicken so it wasn’t soggy, and mixed it into the P.

F. chang’s chicken which was the only one that had a decent flavor. I don’t know if I should be upset or grateful there was such a tiny amount of chicken in each box.

they just did not have that as an option. I love the idea of being able to make a quick meal at home, and Chinese food? I’m game all day. When I went to prepare the fried rice, I read the box and to my surprise there were ONLY microwave instructions.

I am not one to use the microwave often as I would rather cook/reheat foods on the stove or in a toaster oven, but I wanted to prepare it in the manner they recommended. So into the microwave it went.

After a few minutes and letting it cool off, I began to try it. The base product seems pretty good, but there was not enough seasoning in my opinion and the rice texture was off (likely due to the microwave cook), but I really like where they are going with the product.

They definitely need to do a better job with bringing out the flavors more, and include a stove top instruction option as well. but it’s not half bad 💜.

To be honest, I was a little hesitant on whether I would like it at first. But, I was pleasantly surprised. First off, I love that there are few ingredients. So many frozen meals have tons of added preservatives and ingredients I can’t even pronounce.

Being able to microwave a quick meal is a huge plus for me. I have a super busy life and this is perfect on nights when I don’t have much time. 5 minutes in the microwave and its ready to go. I threw mine in a pan and fried it for a couple minutes after microwaving it just to get the rice a little more crispy.

Overall I was really surprised with how good it was and do recommend it.

The chicken fried rice was my favorite go to meal. I would 3 or more boxes a week and loved the convenience of the microwave cooking option. Upon my most recent shooting trip a grab a box and discovered the recipe has changed.

There is no longer edamame and the carrots are thicker chunks. In place of the edamame are dehydrated wrinkles peas. After purchasing and trying the wrinkled pea fried rice I have decided not to purchase again unless the edamame is replaced.
