I played chess back in junior high and my husband never had so we bought this after watching The Queen’s Gambit. Using this game, it all came flooding back to me and my husband has learned incredibly quickly.

Using the cards initially teaches you less about strategy and more about what each piece can do, until you go up to 5 cards and then you start to strategize. Once you feel comfortable with that, you graduate to no cards on the other side of the board and you get to use strategy.

It sound confusing, the talk of cards, but it really isn’t once you get going. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn to play chess or to refresh from years of not playing. 5 stars and have recommended to numerous friends already!.

Yes, the cards turn chess into a game of luck rather than a game of strategy. It becomes a lot like Candyland actually, which is great for younger players learning the game since it makes it more likely they can win.

What few other reviews seem to be mentioning, though, and what I want to focus on, is the handicap effect this has on more advanced players. One thing that frustrates me about playing with my 5-year-old is that I feel like I need to make deliberate blunders to let him win or he won’t enjoy the game.

With these cards though, I can play to the best of my ability and still lose because of the effective handicap they provide. The game instructions explain three learning phases. Phase 1 is to draw one card each turn and move (if you can) the piece you see on the card.

Phase 2 is to hold a hand of three cards and draw a new card each turn. This starts to introduce more choice into the game and open up possibilities for strategizing. Phase 3 is to hold a hand of five cards, opening up the possibilities even more.

Eventually the learner graduates from using the cards at all to just playing regular chess. Many other reviews of this product (especially the critical ones) are saying its taking a very short time for their kids to learn how the pieces move and then they just end up throwing out the cards and wishing they had bought a regular chess set instead.

But when my kid graduates from the cards I fully plan to continue using the cards myself as a handicap. Let my kid apply whatever strategy he can come up with, but force myself down to his skill level by shoehorning myself into making the moves the cards tell me to make.

As he gets more advanced and I need less handicapping, I’ll graduate myself to the higher phases and start keeping a hand of 3 or 5 cards so I have more choices and can start applying more strategy. I think it’s brilliant how these phases help inexperienced users, but also effectively handicap more advanced players so less advanced players can actually hold their own in a game.

I’ve owned this set all of two hours and played one game against a less experienced player who roundly annihilated me. I’m excited to use this set to teach my son one of my favorite games.

I was looking for a unique chess set for my teenage sons’ b-day. After looking at numerous sets (including the Harry Potter set, which is pretty awesome), I came across the Umbra Buddy Chess Set. I loved the modern look of the pieces and game board, but hoped it was as nice as it appeared in the pics.

I was not disappointed. The pieces have a beautiful finish and they have a nice weight to them, with felt bottoms that allow them to glide across the board. The wood box also has a nice weight and finish, and when you remove the playing board, the interior has a dense foam with laser cutouts for each piece.

The pieces fit snuggly in the box for storage, but look super cool sitting out on the board for display. Finally, the board itself is also solid and heavy, with a mirrored playing surface and a velvet-like fabric on the back side.

My son was thrilled when he opened it, and has loved playing with it since. This is a pricer set, but something he’ll have for a lifetime. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something with a more contemporary flair, as well as being a great piece of art for a room.

Well packaged for delivery. Excellent quality pieces, nice and heavy. Beautiful finish. The board is tricky to nest back into wooden frame though. If you have difficulty with fine motor issues, it may be a challenge.

Wow! This chess set is amazing quality. Love that the game board fits on the box for storage and that there are individual areas for each piece. The game pieces are heavy and have such a unique look.

The sleek look of this set also makes a great decor piece! Very impressed!!.

You get lots of bang for the buck with this Pressman chess set. For under $10 you will be hard-pressed to find a better quality beginner chess set. The board is 16 inches, so the squares are just under 2 inches each – plenty of room to maneuver the pieces.

The board in the picture is a bit different from the actual board I received which does not have the Pressman logo on a square. Also, the actual light squares look more like light wood grain than the white squares in the photo.

The board is better looking than the photo shows. It is coated and heavy duty board-game material so that it will remain durable. The king is just over 2 1/2 inches tall, and I was pleasantly surprised by the solid plastic pieces.

The knight has pretty nice detail for an inexpensive set. Although the bottoms of the pieces are not felted, they are very smooth. I liked this set so much that I purchased two for a school chess club.

I am giving this a five star rating because, for the low price, it is an excellent starter chess board. I compared many others, before making this purchase and I’m very satisfied with my choice. The board is a good size 16″x 16″ square, which is much larger than some other more expensive boards.

The chess pieces are a very good size and weight, considering they are plastic. It comes with a sheet of easy to read, simple instructions, to play. I purchased this board to replace one I lost and to relearn the game.

Pieces are solid but a tad rough around the edges. Board is cardboard but decent. Good enough for a casual game every now and then. If you are a serious player, probably invest in a better set. But this does the trick for the beginner or very casual player.

Our family loves Storytime Chess. We originally purchased the set so our 9 year old daughter could learn chess in a way that matches her love for stories and imagination. I have always wanted to be better at chess, but given that my brain is better at language arts than math and strategy I could never remember the way each piece moved! Well that’s why Storytime chess is the perfect way to teach the game.

Each character has a personalized story which directly corresponds to HOW they move across the board. My daughter and I went through all the different learning activities together. The lessons provide an excellent way to learn the skills in stages, instead of jumping into the full game at once.

There are a lot of moves to remember in chess so this program is a wonderful way to learn in increments and each lesson builds on the previous one. Our daughter immediately caught on and is actually really enjoying the game! All the fun we were having caught the attention of her 5 year old brother so we took him through the activities and now he has learned and remembered all the moves too! I’m amazed.

Our 3 year old is playing the pawn game and is eager to keep building on his skills. I used to be a teacher and remember reading somehwere how good chess is for brain developement so it was important to me get my children playing this game confidently.

As a person who loves games that not just engage children in meaningful play and foster family connection but ALSO have an educational component, I can’t recommend this game enough. I never learned how to play chess as a kid because I thought it was hard and confusing.

Learning what all the pieces could do was challenging because I didn’t have a way to remember them. This game is genius! First you read the story (which gives you little stories and then “mini games” which help you to remember each character’s abilities).

Each chess piece has a character associated with it, so as you play you can easily call back the story and why each character (piece) moves that particular way! Can I just tell you the joy of hearing my 5 year old say (on day ONE of playing this, mind you), “No no Owen King Chomper can only move 1 space at a time because of his big belly!” My 9 and 5 year old sons have played over and over and over again.

And at 36 years old I finally know how to play chess and am ENJOYING the game and the connection time with my kids it is providing. Connection. but also sleep. Story Time Chess has become not only our 4yo’s favorite game to play but also her favorite book to read! The creative stories explain how each piece moves and is written clearly and interestingly enough that she picked up the complex game of chess immediately! We have read the stories over (and over!) again, just for fun, and have played chess (properly!) non-stop since we got it.

I always wanted to play chess. so to learn and progress with my child is so fun and fulfilling! Learning with Story Time chess has made my daughter feel confident in explaining chess rules to her peers, has helped with her patience and turn taking, has made her thoughtful and strategic in her actions, and has overall been an interest and hobby that we can do together as a family! First of all THIS BOOK IS NOT WRITTEN BY BOBBY FISCHER!. If you want a book he actually wrote get “MY 60 Memorable Games” If your looking to improve at chess, and are looking into buying books and all that here is a good road map.

1. First before any books, try to do 50 tactics (puzzles) a day, get yourself a chess. com premium sub, just do it. Or use chesstempo. com 2. Get the book “Keep It Simple – 1. e4” by. Christof Sielecki.

Or get 1. d4 don’t get both. This is a great opening repertoire for white. 3. Get the book “Chess Openings for Black, Explained: A Complete Repertoire” by. Lev Albert. Really good background and general information for a chess novice, and solid repertoire for black.

4. People might be mad. But get “Dvoretsky’s Endgame Manual” by. Mark Dvoretsky. This is a very complicated book meant for players 2000+ rating. BUT if you can understand the first chapter “Pawn Endgames” it will change the way you play chess, and improve you so much, the rest of the content you can learn as you grow.

But yeah. Avoid this trash, any free online content is better imo, its just a hype book.

I’ve been playing online matches against other players, and against the computer for a few weeks now. I often found that I wasn’t doing a good job of seeing the “big picture,” if you will. As a beginner, I believe this is to be somewhat expected.

This book, however, has started helping me expand my view of the board. It does an excellent job of making you look at all of the pieces before you make your decision. I also really like the way the book is laid out.

It makes it so that you can’t peak at the answer without physically turning the page, which I believe helps me even more. Overall, I’m really satisfied with this book. It’s a very useful learning tool.

Simple, effective introduction to Chess for beginners. You don’t need to understand chess notation like many other chess books, this page is all about diagrams. It positively encourages you to draw your own arrows to help.

Very simple challenge/answer system with each answer hidden behind a page turn.

Just getting back into chess after many years and was intrigued by this board. Really pleased with it thus far. Very easy and intuitive to setup and play. No real learning curve here. Charged it up. Setup the board.

Turned it on and started with P-K4. Was as natural and easy as playing a person. The swirling lights showing the board’s move is a fantastic design element. Been giving me enjoyable games from that first move and starting to scrape the rust off my game.

I’ve been a novice player for years, but never took chess seriously until now. With the pandemic, I thought it would be fun to get a good chess computer to play and learn against to strengthen my game, and this doesn’t disappoint.

Playing on a real chessboard is so much different than playing on a computer, and so I felt it was essential for me to practice with physical pieces. There isn’t much info on this computer online from an absolute beginner perspective, so I thought it could be helpful to have one here.

Hardware: high-quality construction. Despite being such a thin (and large) board, there is no flex. Not that I transport it around much, it just sits on my desk most of the time. Pieces are of good weight, although not of very high quality.

Lots of plastic molding lines and spurs – plus the pieces slid too easily on the board. Not a big deal until the table gets bumped and they slide. The eInk display is excellent, and all chess computers should have this! The light grey and dark grey squares are pleasant and easy to distinguish for me without issue.

The round LED move indicator lights are perfect, which makes playing the computer that much more entertaining – even in full sunlight. Battery life is decent; It will probably last 6 or so hours of constant use, but I leave it plugged in most of the time.

Software: Despite what the product description says, the computer doesn’t let me win approximately 50% of the time 🙁 I’ve only beat it once in 20 games on the friendly level. Haven’t even tested the other levels yet.

Taking back moves is super easy, which is a great way to learn from your mistakes when playing against a computer. Analyses mode is pretty fun; the computer scores each move as you and another human play.

The game analyses helps with checking moves that score the best, but it’s up to the human to figure out why. No in-game line analysis. But, that’s why I use chess analysis software. Lastly, I never thought I would care about exporting the game moves to a computer for analysis, but it would be *really* nice to do so.

Since I’m on my own to learn, I’ve relied on books and computers for strategy development and find where I made mistakes. For such a high priced computer, a simple export game feature would great because typing in moves by hand is slow.

I get around this by having the free Stockfish app open and mirror the moves in that program from the physical game I’m playing, but that can be annoying and distracts me from the game. The centaur is a solid chess computer, easy to play and use – even for my kids.

Of course, there could be things that would make it even better, but the pros out-weight the cons.

Overall, I love the game. I just retired and decide that I needed do something to keep my mind sharp. The game came ahead of schedule which was nice. The only issue I had was a couple of pawns wouldn’t register on the board.

After looking at the bottom of the pieces I realized that the tape wasn’t pressed down evenly. After I smoothed the tape down everything worked. I still have to press the tape down on those 2 pawns ever now and then, but they work afterwards.

Love the fart that you don’t have to press down on the squares like a board I had years ago.

This book focusses on the explanation of chess theory, with well described examples. It is not a play-by-play account of games. Highly recommend for the beginner who’s comfortable with the mechanics of chess and now wants to explore strategic ideas in their games.

This will sound unbelievable until you have played several games; but, this is a thrillingly exciting game to play, as incredibly complex scenarios, flavored of a long meticulously planned out tactical assault, emerge in the blink of an eye.

As the game is paced so quickly (usually only lasting 2-7 minutes), you repeatedly enjoy the amped-up feeling of satisfaction similar to the end of a closely-matched sports competition, or tactical game that only a lasting struggle or the end of a match/battle/struggle can provide.

How to play is simple: The Object of the game is to capture 5 pairs, or get 5 stones in a row (played on a grid). When 3 stones in a row go unblocked, it is an automatic win, as once we have 4 stones in a row, a block to either side cannot prevent the 5 stones in a row victory (Hence why it is customary to say open 3 when this happens to prevent a hollow victory that wastes the setup time and prevents the aforementioned end game of thrones [pun-intended, but in thinking on it, it is very similar to the excitement of a GOT episode but in two minutes not 60]).

As per other descriptions, it truly is as easy to learn as tic tac toe, but can get as complex as mid/endgame chess instantaneously. ***I previously didn’t buy this particular version as I thought it was a board game version and not the flexible original soft mat.

This is a beautiful version. For those who have played on an original board, I have two minor complaints: the board is slightly smaller than the original game, and the grid lines are tan instead of black.

If you played this game as a kid and loved it, please dont ruin your childhood memories by purchasing this version. The grid pattern on the mat is so small that its basically impossible to tell which pieces are lined up and which are not.

The poor design makes even attempting to play frustrating at best. My kids are logic-game enthusiasts and will not play Pente. Its sad; I think they would really like this game if the grid spacing was wide enough to see what youre doing.

The version we had 30+yrs ago used the same glass stones but had a traditional boardgame-style board (not the roll up mat) and the grid spacing was definitely larger.

I like the idea of the mat, but it doesnt lie flat. Some of the stones are a little big and blue and green are harder to distinguish in low light. Havent played with the clear stones yet, but that also seems like it would be hard to see in low light.

I do think that these little stones will be easy to replace in the future if I choose, but they work well enough for my purposes. The game itself is easy teach/learn and a good strategy game to keep the mind busy.

Most chess sets fall into a spectrum from the boring to the baroque. I have been searching for a long time for a high quality wooden set that matches the aesthetic of my eclectic modern home. The Umbra wobble was a great find for me.

The board is well finished with no mismatched edges or rough seams. The pieces are well-weighted, simple without being austere, and easy to distinguish (some modern sets fail on this, with pieces that are too similar making them pretty to look at but a pain to play).

It is a great addition to my game room and I can picture it ageing gracefully over the next decades. I’m veyr happy with this purchase.

I bought the chess set almost a month ago. The quality of the items is excellent. Not only it is quite fun to play with it, but also its elegant features match the modern atmosphere of our living room.

The only negative part is that the box of the product was ripped when we received it. We thought it was not quite important at that point, but I think they should be more careful about its box and the shipping company, too.

I bought this wobble set last month and I have to say its an amazing work of art !! It’s one of a kind and crafted beautifully, and I have to say everyone who sees it absolutely loves it !! And it’s a pleasure to play chess wiv this set.

IšverstiShow in original languageI think it’s over priced for what it is. There are so many educational apps out there that don’t cost this much. This one has interactive playing pieces but they’re some plastic or wooden pieces.

A plastic base to hold your iPad. And a plastic piece with a mirror that sits on your camera to reflect down. This cost nothing to make. Not worth the cost it’s charging you. So there are 5 games I think.

My 5 yr old kid does like them. So that’s good. But if you wanna buy any more games you’ll spend a whole lot more again. Personally we get a lot more out of abc mouse and homer app. We pay a much smaller monthly or annual fee for those.

We can take them on the go without any pieces. And those allow al my kids of different ages to play their own level for the same price on one account. So I would suggest those over Osmo. You get much more bang for your buck and it can be used for all ages anywhere you are.

My daughter was very disappointed Christmas morning when we realized the system was “out of date”, and I needed to purchase a different reflector for the thing to even work.

Not only that, anytime in the future she’d have to take the otter box case off EVERYTIME so it would fit in the base. Still not sure if I want to return it all.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is my first experience with Osmo brand products and I can say that I am happy with the product if not super impressed. Here is my review of the product: 1. The thing which works well is that it has lot of activities which can keep kids interested for hours.

My daughter liked it very much and she devoted few hours on day 1. I think this will keep her engaged for days to come. 2. I especially liked the Tangram as well as Creative engineering activity. These are very different than what other products offer and kinda differentiator for me.

3. The integration with tablet is seamless and I faced no issues. 4. The mathematics module is OK and is on expected lines. I didn’t find that very different than others. 5. There are couple of other things also like words and masterpiece which we are yet to explore but they seems to be interesting.

6. Only thing which kind of dis-appointed me is that this product is sort of less stimulating or for sake of better word, challenging to older kids who are around 9-10 years old. Now a days, kids are so much exposed to new things in classrooms that they always ask for more challenges to keep them engaged.

But having said that it’s good product for anyone 8 years old and less. I can recommend it for sure.

I bought two Trixie puzzles for our new puppy. The other one we love! This one? Not so much. It just seems really pointless. There are two basic activities: one activity the dog simply knocks the post out of place and slides the little thing over and there’s a treat.

Then there is another activity where the dog has to slide these thin drawers out to get the treats and it’s just such a different level of difficulty that it doesn’t really make sense. On the one hand, the one activity is way too easy and on the other hand, the other activity is too hard! The plastic seems good, however, and even though my pup chews on the posts, it doesn’t seem to damage them too badly.

I wish I had passed on this puzzle and gone with a different one.

Really disappointed in this toy. I was looking for more level 3 toys to challenge my two dogs, but this is not a level 3 despite being labeled one. Its way too easy. There are lots of compartments to hide food or treats but only two of the cone things.

So you end up with a lot of open compartments and the food/treats aren’t even hidden. Maybe if you have extra cones from another Trixie toy you can make this harder. Otherwise, its somewhere between a level 1 and 2 toy.

Also, this toy is really small. It’s fine for my little guy, but difficult for my Dobie to retrieve food/treats from the compartments.

I wanted to try a more advanced toy for my labrador since he’s mastered the Nina Ottoson brick puzzle. I decided on this one after seeing the great reviews and that the difficulty level *should* be higher than the one we already have.

The description states “Due to the unique design, the cones cannot be knocked over and must be lifted straight up to be removed for an added challenge. ” This statement should be removed from the description entirely; our dog disproved this in a matter of seconds.

He found the treats in all the compartments in about 30 seconds, knocking over every single cone piece with his nose while finding them. Not once did he need to lift these for the “added challenge” referenced.

He had fun, however I don’t feel this product delivered on the difficultly level as advertised and the description is incredibly misleading. I would love to think my dog is a genius, but really the poor design made it super easy for him to figure out.

If you are looking for a puzzle that really requires your dog to think/problem solve, this isn’t it.

Great chess set. The set came in two large boxes. One box contained most of the bases and the other box contained all the heads or the chess pieces and a couple of bases. The plastic seems very durable.

The finish of the sets is excellent. The heads of the pieces screw into the bases very securely. There is a hole in the bottom of the base. I guess it is so you can add weight to the base. The system is very cleverly designed – when you screw the head into the base it looks like it will create a very nice seal for the material used to add weight to the chess pieces.

Very high quality. Excellent purchase.

What a wonderful chess set, chessboard and carrying bags. I teach chess to children and young adults. We love to go outside and play in the local parks. This set fits beautifully in three high quality bags.

The chessboard is a plastic chessboard that snaps together. It works perfectly on grass and concrete. it has been a little heavy to move around all the time, but it works very well. We love to play with the larger chess pieces.

I highly recommend getting this 37″ set if you can. You will love it just as I do.

Just to let you know, these sets are very popular with our Scouts at camp. I seldom pass the area without seeing a group of kids playing a game of chess. Thanks for a great product and great customer service.

Charterstone is a wonderfully charming legacy game. Players will work to build a village up, but this is not a cooperative game! The goal is to be the player who contributes most to the villages growth.

Each round adds new rules and core mechanics to slowly build the complexity of the game, which is exciting to me. Like most Stonemaier games, the production valley is top notch. The game can be played solo or with up to 5 players.

If a player at any point decides to drop out of the campaign, they can easily be replaced by an automa/AI player. Unlike other Legacy games, however, Charterstone still has decent replayability after the campaign has been completed.

Through the campaign, you will essentially create fairly unique worker placement game of your own. You can also purchase a recharge pack, which allows you play through the campaign a separate time, as the game board is double sided.

Highly recommend giving this game a try!.

Charterstone is a cute, fun legacy game that is a very good introduction to legacy games if you are interested in those. For me it was the perfect introduction to this style of game as I had been reading all kinds of great things about other legacy games such as Pandemic Legacy and Gloomhaven.

The initial thought was, good lord play a game once and be done with it?! Thats crazy talk. or so I thought. Got Charterstone and played through it with my wife and we both were instantly drawn in. The legacy aspect is sooooooo much fun.

The game plays like a basic worker placement game where you place down a little guy on a particular spot on the game board to collect resources with which to pay for other things in the game. I love worker placement games as well so that was a nice base for the game.

Well as the game progresses you will draw cards that have stickers on them of new places to visit on the game board. Pay the required amount of resources and you can stick the sticker on the game board that really opens up the area of play of new ways to place your character.

There are 12 games that can be played until the game ends completely and each game takes progressively longer as you are adding more and more to the board. For a 2 player game it took about an hour for the first game and each game after that took a little over an hour but never longer than 2 hours.

At the onset of each individual game there is a card that details a certain objective, the person that achieves said objective gets the honor of scratching off the card to reveal what reward is underneath (like a lottery scratchers ticket).

This will then lead into the next game and how the overall story progresses. As far as the story goes its not bad, not the best story in the world but interesting and kid friendly. Not going to spoil anything though.

So you are thinking, well what do I do with this after we finish the 12 games? One really cool thing about this particular legacy game is that once you complete the legacy portion of the game there are rules to where you can keep playing the game without the legacy aspect! No 2 peoples games will be the same as the end product once you are done will be shaped by your choices throughout the game.

If you really want to play through the legacy portion of the game again, they sell a recharge pack that has all the stickers and components to do just that. Also the reverse side of the board is the exact same so you can just flip the board and do it all over which is cool.

Heres the thing, I think the game would play WAYYYY better with more than 2 people playing. With only 2 people there is so much board to play on and we never did fill it up which lead to missed chances as far as story sequences and things go.

At the end of our 2 player campaign there were a TON of cards left in the box that we never touched. You can get up to 6 players around the board and personally I think that would make a more fulfilling game.

In any case if you are wanting a nice light legacy game to see if you would like that style, this is it. Since playing this game I have went on and bought Gloomhaven which I love even more. Charterstone is a very simple to learn, kid friendly, legacy style board game.

If you like worker-placement games, then this is a good one. It’s fun and the look is fun. There are better worker-placement games out there, but this one has the unique quality of changing as you go and I am a fan of developing abilities in a game.

I don’t know why, but it seems like I have experienced and heard of multiple people that just don’t get around to completing the campaign. I wouldn’t let that stop you if you like worker-placements.

Great water carrier. Enough water for the day, whether you are hiking or playing sport. And fits in a bag quite comfortably. I recommend this jug to anyone. The jug is expensive but you pay for what you get.

Love this big bottle. More than enough water for the whole family. Heavy duty handle makes carrying easy as well. A+ !!

This is a really nice chess set. There is a small design flaw with the canister that holds the pieces, which is a cardboard tube lined with leather on the outside. The leather folds over at the top of the tube, creating a small lip that the pieces get caught on.

This makes them difficult to remove. The other small annoyance is the Umbra logo on the board (see photo). If I orient the board so the logo is readable, the board is not oriented correctly for chess, the bottom right square (H1) should be a white square.

So when you orient the board correctly for play, the logo isn’t oriented towards either player. Not a big deal at all, but a minor oversight perhaps.

First of all, this is just the neatest checkerboard/chess board you will ever see! I have one son who loves to play checkers and one who prefers chess. I love that this gives you the the ability to play either one.

One side is plain for checkers and the other has images of the chess pawns. It’s compact, portable and all the pieces get tucked away tightly when you’re finished playing. It’s a perfect design! I love products that are functional, but also pretty enough to leave out as part of your decor.

This little set covers all the bases. You nailed it with this one, umbra!.

This Rolz checker/chess set has been the best addition to our game room at home. I love the design and leather board. It looks great sitting out but packs up easily to take with us for road trips. It’s great to play in a hotel too.

As always with Umbra they have combined functionality with a great design. Not only is the roll up feature great but having the cylinder for the pieces that fits in the middle of the rolled up board is genius.

Such a great item to have and would make a nice gift too!.

The concept is nice, but the craftsmanship is poor. Both drawers stick. One drawer only comes halfway out. Im probably going to have to take it apart, sand some things down, and glue it back together.

Maybe that will fix it, but Im not hopeful. This should be 1/3 the price for the quality you receive.

I bought this for my fiancé and he absolutely loved it! The board is really well made and the pieces have a small price of felt to aid with sliding on the board! There is chess and checker pieces, and I would definitely recommend! The game instructions were slightly different than the original rules but that can easily be over looked.

Was not packaged well. Box looked like it was bounced around. Chess set looked used and cheap. Broken draw looked like it wasn’t even glued. Wood was chipped. Giving 1 star is generous should be a negative.

Will be taking it back. Buyer beware.
