20 Best Cheap Vinyl For Cricut (2023 Updated)

Took some time in finding the vinyl sheets in store but found them. Problem I first had was the product doesn’t state it is adhesive but assumed it was. When I got it home and checked it is thankfully.

The second problem I had was due to it having in store the corners are folding so when printing in it caught a couple of the corners. Then the problem I faced was when using it in the brother scan and cut the corners kept catching in the machine so I kept having to stick the edges down rehab I shouldn’t have needed to.

The sheets aren’t a4 in size so be warned if you’re wanting to use a whole sheet for something. The adhesive back is sticky but could be more sticky as the vinyl is being stuck on plastic products. I’m hoping it will stay stick long enough for what it’s intended to be used for.

This is a great set to get started with learning the vinyl sticker making process. Good adhesive, but not dishwasher safe unless you put a protective laminate over the design. A tip would be to turn on system dialogue when you “print then cut”.

This will bring up the printer settings and I choose photo paper (not glossy) to get the best print quality out of my inkjet printer.

Great quality sticker vinyl. I make lots of stickers and I’ve tried a lot of different makes but this is by far the best. Ok so Cricut is well known for being a bit pricey but if you want quality then buy these.

The sticking power alone is worth the price. Remember if you want to use these outside you need to cold laminate after they have been printed to make them waterproof.

I’ve started a business with my cricut and I must say their vinyl is the best matte I’ve purchased especially the black. I buy it in bulk on their site because I get more bang for my buck. The only other brand that can compare os siser.

The matte is so nice like I absolutely love it. And when I say it’s easy to weed I mean easy!!! Cricut is the only brand that has the MATTE BLACK.

So a lot of people bash the Cricut Iron-On, which is a shame. I’ve had some problems with it, but usually because “I” didn’t follow the directions. The shirts HAVE to be washed prior to using the iron on.

They HAVE to be warmed up & then the iron-on can be applied. And you need to check if Cricut recommends a hot peel or a cool peel. Also, I will say the Cricut Easy Press has been a life saver. My old iron took forever to heat up the iron-on enough for it to transfer correctly.

Had a lot of boo-boos with my iron. Oo.

Picked up a few of these last week and has been a dream to work with. Easy to weed & no issues when applying heat. Transfers look fabulous & professional. Highly recommend this HTV & the range of colours available are gorgeous! Can’t wait to try more.

from a beginner experience I am new to Cricut and Cricut products but using this premium vinyl turn out great , I wanted to help my mom make a wood sign and put lettering using transfer tape and vinyl.

from cutting it my Cricut Maker machine did great, such smooth easy cuts I was a little worried due to my aching have some cutting problems in the past, but this came out perfect. The wedding was easy, I did have to go to a brighter room with extra bright lights and use my weeder tool but it came off good when when weeding the access away.

then came transferring it to the wood board it worked perfectly. then came the transfer tape now this was tricky I won’t go over all that but I had help since it was such a big piece of vinyl and transfer tape going on a big sign.

finally applying the vinyl to sign was easy it turned out at end to be wonderful.

I had other vinyl that was a brand from a craft store and it was not working at all for a project I had that was small, fine letters. I tried completing it three times with the other vinyl until I finally said I needed to try a different vinyl.

I was able to complete the project the first time I tried it with this vinyl. Saving a couple dollars on off brand vinyl is not worth the time and frustration. I will be purchasing this again. Much better quality and results than what you get with other vinyl out there!.

I was impatient to start a project so I stopped in and picked up a roll of this “premium” vinyl. I have worked with a lot of vinyl over the years and this is absolutely the WORST product I have ever dealt with.

It is very thin and cannot handle weeding fine lines without tearing. It also slid all over the backing creating bubbles in the project I was working on. I am trashing the whole thing. Thank goodness I have a roll of better quality vinyl on the way for a different project and should have enough to complete today’s project as well.

Don’t waste your money, this product is utter garbage.

I am new to this so it was perfect for a mini project I had to complete. The individual sheets allowed me to experiment with colours and not spend a fortune on kits of rolls of vinyl. I think it would have been a nice touch to have had a sheet of transfer tape included too.

This Is The Worst Vinyl Cricut Sells In Opinion. I Do Shirts As Well As Personalized Items And I Threw So Many Of These Vinyls Away Both Iron On And Regular Vinyl. I High Reccomend You Buy The Mat For The Joy And Use Regular Vinyl.

I Highly Reccomend Agsinst Using The Ones Made For The Joy. You Will Lose More Much More Money. The Tranfer Paper Is Horrible Is Well And The Smart Vinyl Iron On Also Does Not Stick. Terrible Experience And Disappointment, Much Money Wated.

So I did a review prior about how this product did not meet my needs due to supply shortage of the product I needed bud Michaels denied it. Hoping this can be posted so the company can properly stock their materials.

I needed the regular vinyl but it was not available so I purchased the Joy size and the material itself seemed poorer than the regular CRICUT vinyl. it also is more expensive when you compare roll sizes.

I make tumblers with this vinyl and it always holds on fantastic, seals nicely under the resin, and cuts easily in my explore air 2. Good thickness and easy weeding this product. Lights years better than Siser.

One recommendation is before attempting to remove it from the tube, put fingers in the middle of the tube and give it a good clockwise twist to loosen the vinyl from the inside of the tube. I’ve run into, and have spoken with others with this same issue, where the vinyl must be on a conveyer line and dispensed into the tube via a machine because it will be sealed into the bottom plug.

A quick twist before removing ensures yours was loaded correctly. If not, carefully cut the bottom plug off the tube.

I have a joy and trying to cut on this is absolutely impossible to cut through with the Android version of the cricut app. I even tried diffrent material settings after using the correct setting didn’t work, I tried setting the cutting pressure higher, I tried cutting multiple times over the design and I cleaned the blade.

I’ve only used the blade once before, there’s no way it’s dull. I can’t find any other people having this issue, but this glossy garbage rips before it gives, I painstakingly trace over the cuts and I can work it free bit by bit bit it isn’t worth it, this is garbage, I’ll just buy another material.

Good price for multiple small sheets although they were on sale. Cut beautifully, easy to weed, used on a pump bottle for the bathroom which was why it needed to be waterproof,so far no issues with peeling or anything looks as good as when I first out them on.

I bought this on a whim as I was collecting an online order; Love the colours in this multipack. the sizing is just right for my mat and with the multiple colours inside make it an ideal tester pack if you’re unsure what colours will work together or if you’re just starting out using vinyl.

Bought this to see all the basic colors and I love it! The product is wonderful and I loved being able to have 1 sheet of a few colors instead of just 1 color. Will keep buying!

I made an outdoor sign for our neighborhood “Story Time in the Park” which runs from June through August. I needed a product that would stand up to the elements (especially rain) yet be removable. The colors are just as vibrant today as the day I put it together.

The Cricut removable vinyl has worked perfectly. I highly recommend this product.

Really nice quality vinyl. I have used it on wood which it has attached to well. Easy to weed. Knocked off a star for the price which is quite high compared to other makes of just as good quality. Smaller packs and a wider range of colours would be good.

Or the ability to pick and choose single sheets so you don’t have to buy colours you won’t use.

I didn’t buy this for the same reason as anyone would vinyl sheets. I got it to use as a stencil for a spray paint job on a glass panel. As a stencil? It worked well, 5 stars. Edges stayed down and didn’t bleed or come up when spraying.

And the finished lines are clear and not fuzzy. As a vinyl? Or removable? 1 star. I tested my stencil on scrap glass and plexiglass. It sticks really really well. Yes it came off, but at what cost. I had to fight it and pull as hard as I possibly could all along the way.

It left behind tons of sticky residue. On glass or plexiglass I can remove it sure, but on another surface that is slightly more delicate. don’t hold your breath. It definitely won’t come off paper without tearing it.

I honestly thought I had bought a permanent roll until I checked the label again. It came off in pieces and kept tearing. Luckily I won’t use the pieces after spraying over the stencil. Again 5 stars for the potential for stenciling.

But 0-1 stars for it being removable.

I was hesitant to order due to other reviews. I had no problem working with this vinylat all. Only problem I had was my own error, I did not choose the right setting for cutting the vinyl the first time, and the 2nd time.

2nd time I was still able to **** out with quit simple easy. I used the out door vinyl setting, and I should have selected max cut. I used the blue mat. Can’t wait to create more items with this pack.

Pack was a really nice assortment and great quality.

I got this to make some decals with and am pleased with the quality. As some noted, these are not 12†x12†and are slightly smaller. It doesn’t bother me in terms of cutting decals, but have to put 4 stars vs 5 due to the description at the time stating they were 12†x12†but see that the company has since updated that.

I guess it’s kind of made up by the inclusion of a partial bonus sheet at the time I received the product. The bonus sheet was a nice camo print and I used it already for a decal my husband requested.

I’ve already made some personalized gifts for family members as well and they came out great. I think the recipients will love their presents, and am glad I could find this vinyl.

They worked okay with my cricut. Had a hard time weeding but with a bit of extra effort, it worked out just fine. More effort than any other vinyl I’ve worked with

Seems like a premium product, but when compared to the cheap stuff you can buy on Amazon, this product is very hard to work with. Specifically when it comes to using transfer tape to remove from the backing and apply.

Does not want to come off the backing at all, and with the backing being that super stiff plastic, it’s almost impossible to peel. I ended up tearing a few letters and this stuff aint that cheap.

I bought several rolls of the Cricut Removable Matte Premium Vinyl last week to use for decals for a friends’ nursery. It cuts decently well for larger shapes and (as long as you don’t use Cricut brand Transfer Tape) it applies very easily to walls.

However after applying several different decals to my friends’ nursery walls, pressing them down, removing air bubbles, and leaving the room for several hours my friend noticed that the vinyl was beginning to droop off the walls.

By the morning (this was less than 12 hours later) all the Cricut brand vinyl had fallen off the walls completely. The only vinyl that remained was a decal I had cut with a different brand of removable matte vinyl.

Guess I know what I have to rebuy and which one is a waste of money. P. S. – Don’t know if this was the fault of the vinyl or the transfer tape, or both but this DOES NOT work with Cricut brand Transfer tape.

You cannot remove the vinyl from the tape when trying to apply it.

To begin with – generally I’m not a big fan of Cricut vinyl. Although this vinyl worked for my project, it seems not to be an opaque yellow. It looks a bit transparent and washed out on a couple of projects I used it on.

I have a bee themed vignette and it works okay. Next time I’ll shop around a little more and try to find something a bit brighter and more opaque.

It’s beautiful right, but it will NOT stick to transfer paper! No matter how hard I tried. I was making 16 signs for our cheerleaders, yes 16. So one everything gets cut and I’m trying to place letters it was extraordinarily frustrating! I am no novice when it comes to these projects.

I have both an explore air, and a maker. Tools upon tools, and lots of tricks up my sleeve. I had to HAND place my letters and designs! It took tons of extra time. Some of the designs were a bear to come off the paper backing! I guess to end on a positive, it sticks well once placed and the shimmer looks pretty.

I LOVE using Cricut Smart materials! They make it so easy to turn out a project quickly. No more positioning and repositioning on your mat. You don’t have a mat to clean up afterwards, either. It’s a thicker vinyl.

Some people don’t like it due to it’s thickness, but I prefer it to the thinner vinyls that sometimes tend to tear. Once applied, anything it is laid over is not visible, either. The color was perfect ( pink is my favorite).

I do wish the Smart Vinyls came in a bigger variety of colors and that some patterns were available.

I really enjoy the shimmer vinyl. I have used this as a second layer design and it turned out nice. What I will say is be careful because it comes with a strong transfer paper, so if you are using this in layers be careful how you peel it off because everything will come with it.

That was the only issue I ran into and that’s more in my part vice the product. It’s a great product and looks so good when it’s applied.

I made stickers for the first time using this and they turned out amazing! I got a great deal on it during a weekend sale at Joann’s! Love that!

This is the best printable vinyl out there on the market for creating your own stickers. It is water-resistant and lasts a very long time.

This holographic vinyl looks great, especially in direct light. Buying the multi pack is great value compared to buying separately as you get 3 sheets of 24in compared with one sheet of 48in for just £1 more, so 50% extra for just one pound!.

It’s gorgeous! You get three coloured sheets in the pack: Opal, blue and pink. They’re all gorgeous! Opal is my favourite one. Cuts really well and weeds well too

This vinyl has a lovely colour. It cuts well in the Cricut and shows a brilliant shine when applied to products! I will definitely be purchasing this vinyl again!

This writable permanent vinyl is an awesome idea! Tried to use it with my maker. It has a top and bottom border. It didn’t write correctly on it. Even when I tried to adjust for the border it didn’t work right.

Was a waste of money this time.

You can’t use this material with the Joy unless you pay for their monthly membership. Buy the normal vinyl instead – Cricut doesn’t make you have a membership to use that material

Been looking for this for a while and finally found it. Was a bit nervous using my Cricut pen on vinyl labels but must say they came out beautifully. No smugges or ink splats, just what I wanted and needed.

It’s a good balance between removable and staying where you want it to without coming loose or rolling up at the edges. It’s worked exactly like I hoped it would.

First time user, and I really like the removable vinyl. It attaches to the transfer tape without any issues.

This product is very easy to use. User friendly, adheres great, and looks high quality.
