20 Best Cheap Tablet For Gaming (2023 Updated)

I purchased the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8. 7″, as a replacement for my 2019 Galaxy 8. 0″ which had 32 GB internal memory and 2 GB RAM. I ran out of space on my 2019 tablet and it was slow. I wanted the 64 GB version of my 2019 tablet, but it’s only available on the Samsung website and the slow issue would still be a problem.

A nice salesman (sorry, forgot his name), steered me towards the Tab A7 Lite because it was on sale and in my price range. I also didn’t want a large tablet. He told me that the tablet and cover for it were returnable, even if I opened it.

I really like my Tab A7 Lite and overall, I’m glad I purchased it. There are pluses and minuses to my last tablet. The 2019 8. 0″ has a much better sound system (way better), an oleophobic coating on the screen, doesn’t have a camera bumped out and the battery life was amazing.

like two days. The only thing that really bothered me about my new A7 Lite tablet was the sound, even with headphones, it’s not great. I put on a sound/equalizer App and messed around with the App. I adjusted the bass up and the higher frequencies lower.

I upped the overall loudness of the sound, since it was too low. The sound is so much better. So, there is a fix for that. I recommend this tablet over my older one, as it has a tad more pixels per inch and a better aspect ratio, making reading on it much clearer if you are into downloading books.

Its screen is whiter and not an off white like my old tablet. With a sound app with equalizer capabilities (there are free apps) you’ll improve the sound a whole lot and the right App can up the overall volume coming out.

The colors are just as good as the 2019 tablets. It’s super-fast when downloading. I’m not happy with the battery life, but then again, 4 GB of RAM will get you speed, but lower the battery life. Instead of getting 12 to 13 hours, I now get 7 to 8.

It also charges a bit faster than my old tablet, making the battery life less of an issue, but a bit of one too. Overall, I’m happy with the tablet since the sound issue can be fixed with the right App.

and I’ll take speed and more memory over a slower tablet. Best of all, for the sales price of $149, it’s really worth it. Plus, like the 2019 Tab A, it looks to have a metal back, which helps cool the tablet.

It think it looks better in design than my old tablet and I like that is it USB-C.

For anyone who might be on the fence about buying this versus a more expensive device, I’m hoping my review can help, because I had this same dilemma. I wanted something that had little to no lag when opening apps, especially the simple ones like browsers and email.

I’m happy to report that this tablet has satisfied me in that regard. It’s not as fast on some of the more intensive apps, like opening the Ookla Speedtest app, which even has some delay/lag when opening on my Galaxy Note 9, but as expected it takes about a full second longer on this tablet.

Not a big deal though, because the browser is only very slightly slower than on my Note 9 (we’re talking milliseconds slower, that’s all). I’m guessing it’s the Octocore CPU that helps out in this regard, because i also own the previous Tab A 2019 model.

It only has a quad core CPU and there is a bit of delay even opening simple apps. Some might think it’s the extra RAM, but EXTRA RAM only helps with more apps being open at the same time. Now if the RAM is FASTER in this model, then yes, that would help with the apps opening faster, but I’m not sure if this RAM is any faster than the 2019 model.

I also snagged this tablet when it was on sale for $130. I feel that price is AMAZING for this tablet’s capabilities. The regular price is $200. Considering you can get the Galaxy Tab S6 on sale sometimes for $250, I’d say go with the S6 instead, if you don’t mind having a larger, 10 inch screen.

To me, I wanted something compact, so I simply waited for this one to go on sale. Now i will mention the only potential drawback of this device, and that is Android 12. If/when this device receives the update for Android 12, it will most likely make this device run a bit slower.

It’s happened to every single tablet I’ve ever owned. The new OS always demands more, slowing down these budget tablets to a noticeable degree. Happened to two of my Asus Zen tablets, happened to my 2017 Tab A, happened to my 2019 Tab A.

It will happen again with this one, but I’m crossing my fingers that maybe the step-up to 8 cores will maybe absorb some of the extra load the new OS will put on. But to be reasonable, even though it has 8 cores, it’s still a budget processor, not expecting miracles or anything.

I still think this is an amazing value.

Good tablet for every day use. I usually use it to watch Tik Tok, stream video, and play music. It’s pretty responsive and I can even have multiple apps open in the background. The screen is a perfect size in my opinion.

Big enough that I can see everything clearly when watching a video, not to mention a good increase from a phone screen. Also not too big like a 10′ tablet. Portable enough to take on the go without being bulky.

And since it’s smaller, it’s not a square like some of the larger tablets so video fills the entire screen when held sideways. A speaker on both the top and bottom provide good stereo sound when held sideways as well.

Also super happy that it charges over type C. I actually returned my Tab A 8. 0″ and bought this instead. The extra 1GB of RAM compared to that tablet makes a huge difference, much more responsive. The slightly larger screen is surprisingly noticeable.

A 0. 7″ difference isn’t huge but it goes from being just about usable to being a great size. The higher resolution of the display is great too. I don’t really think it’s worth $130 for the 32gb storage 3gb RAM model I got but mine was open box which made it below $100.

At that price it’s a great buy. The 64gb storage 4gb RAM model could be a better buy since it’s usually about $20 more. The storage isn’t a big deal unless you plan on downloading a lot of games but the more RAM the better since 3GB is usable but 4GB makes everything more comfortable to use.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A T580 (2016) and an iPad 9th gen (2016) the later of which is being used by my wife. Being 6 years old, my other tablets were becoming a bit slow although resetting the T580 to factory defaults and then reinstalling the apps significantly sped up this older tablet.

I primarily use the tablet to watch videos (Netflix, Pluto, etc. ) and do research via a browser. Although I didn’t really need a new tablet, special circumstances enabled me to get this tablet new for < $180 (sales tax holiday also) which was a deal that I couldn't pass up.

Keep in mind that whenever you switch to a new device there will be subtle differences that will take some time to get used to. The picture on this tablet is excellent with good color rendition. The color tone is a little less warm (less reddish) than the iPad or T580 but is excellent and now that I have gotten used to it, I prefer the color rendition on this tablet.

If after you load the tablet and don’t like the color or picture, I’d suggest going to settings/display and then; 1) Turn brightness up to just a little to the left of the red part of the line 2) Turn adaptive brightness off 3) Turn eye comfort shield off.

Note that if you tap the text “Eye Comfort Shield” you are taken to a 2nd screen where you can adjust the color temperature. Like the color temp in a light bulb it will change the color tone from more white to yellowish.

Unlike the iPad and T580, this tablet does not have a physical home button which took me a couple of hours to get used to. Although I would prefer a physical home button the soft button (swipe up a little and then select the rectangle) works fine.

I should note that I used the data transfer tool to copy all of my data, settings and apps from the T580 to the new tablet. There were a few minor issues but the transfer completed. However, the color on the Tab A was off – a bit to the yellow, white skin was gray, shadows had a green/yellow tint, no true white and I couldn’t find a setting to correct this.

At first I assumed there was a defect in the tablet. However, I reset to factory defaults and then manually reloaded and now everything is fine. I think that the wallpaper options on this tablet are terrible.

You can install an app that can be used to download other wallpapers but who wants another app. I just went outside and took a pic of the blue sky with clouds and use this as my wallpaper which I really like.

Older Android versions had some options that are missing from this tablet that I miss such as the ability to make the app icons larger and ‘icons with frames’. When doing a fresh install versus transferring data from an old device it gives you the option to not install some apps which saves time from having to find & delete later.

Note that this tablet uses a USB-C connector on the tablet side which is the newest standard but uses the standard USB A rectangular connector on the charger side. Like me, your home charging station is probably becoming more crowded with a Micro USB, USB-C, Fitbit and lightning cables.

You can buy adapters on eBay for a buck or 2 if you want to reduce the number of cables. I am not an anti-Apple person. I use an iPhone 13 but find the iPads to be too expensive and the user interface to be clunky and difficult to use compared to the Android tablet options.

Already with Samsung tablet experience, as I’ve had a Samsung SMT-320 8 for several years, and recently gave a Samsung A7 10. 4 as a gift. My expectation was that a 10. 5 tablet would be noticeably larger than a 10.

4, but the difference in screens is trivial (silly me). However, viewing a 10. 5 display is a lot more like viewing a laptop screen than a smart phone, and the larger tablet virtual keyboard is much easier to navigate for those of us who are thumb challenged.

The display is bright and crisp with well-saturated colors. This A8 10. 5 has a few features that I really like, such as the 128GB storage and the aluminum backed case. The finish on the back is matte, so finger prints are minimized.

The case is surprisingly thin but rigid. I ran the A8 for 3 hours straight viewing a streaming audio web page, and the battery fell to about 75%. This is better than the old 8 and about the same as the A7.

The A8 is speedy enough for my needs — chiefly web surfing and email. There is nothing that detracts, but I haven’t found anything to knock my socks off, at least yet. One item to be aware of is the microSD slot has a cover with small home that requires a little pin tool (included) to pop out of the case.

The tool is captured between a couple of tabs in the box’s cardboard insert and is easily missed. This arrangement seems overly complex compared to any other tablet I’ve worked with. My main criticism of the 8 Samsung is the Android updates stopped with Android V 4.

I’m hoping the A8 can accommodate a few new Android versions before the hardware can no longer take OS updates. Time will tell.

I originally bought the Tab A8 as an open box in excellent condition and while it was physically excellent, using it for test runs in the first few hours the screen malfunctioned and there were what looked like digitized discolored thick lines throughout the screen.

I went in store to buy a new one since the sale was priced closely to the open box price. Upon the first few hours of use, I noticed the screen registering ghost taps and there was one instance where it was difficult for me to restart the device since the screen registered many different touches.

I restarted and updated it and haven’t ran into that problem ever since, but it is something significant to note. The build quality is not what I’d expect from a big brand like Samsung and at this price range.

The right edge of screen where the glass meets the back is not smooth on my particular tablet, and you can see rough edges of the plastic. My criticism stops around there because the system itself is what I expected and needed for just casual use and streaming.

The resolution on video streams are at least HD for most of the time and refresh rates are fine. I opted for Samsung’s Tab A8 since I’ve had good experiences with their products in the past and the A8 is supposed to have future updates for a few years, but this is the worst Samsung product I’ve used in while.

For the price I paid, it’s okay but there a lot of lower tier tablets I’d try first before buying another Samsung Tab.

Had the 8 inch Tab A7 lite for a month before upgrading to this. Big difference, this one wasn’t laggy/freezing and apps randomly force closing like their cheaper/smaller a7 lite version. I have all newer apple products as a big techie but can’t resist the freedoms you get with Android w/o the crazy price-tags.

Picks up wifi strong in my garage. whereas a7 had weak signal constantly & randomly buffered any youtube video despite factory reset, strong signal and software update. Ive added a 256gb sd card and have tons of space.

Now I can honestly use without noticing any issues in performance. Responsiveness to touch is really important to me and this tablet seems to keep up with touch. Swift when swiping up down and opening apps.

i dont use the camera but quality is decent and clear. Its a bigger tablet at 10. 5 but not wide enough where it would feel awkward for reading or using two thumbs to type a message. Battery life is really good considering I mostly use this for streaming YouTube.

Speakers are more crisp and clear and do not sound like they’re in a tin can like the a7 lite. Feels light weight yet a solid premium metal feeling. but not plasticky hollow light weight like other branded tablets.

this is a great choice to simply get decent quality for the price paid. I actually could see this being a $350-400 tablet by the way it preforms…this is not part of a promotion. I paid full price (unfortunately ha!) and am giving my honest review.

Fabulous tablet. Fast and efficient. Only drawback is the it uses gmail for your email and I’m not a fan even though my mail (not gmail) comes through seamlessly. Delighted with my purchase even though I’m still getting to use it to it’s full capacity.

I am satisfied with the product as it resembles the look of an iPad. There were some things that bothered me about some of the products, but the seller was very sincere in dealing with them.

When having a tablet we want big memory! at least android 6 and upper so that we can manage our internal storage to sd card or vice versa in order to gain more memory! Face it, 8gb is not enough as a stock storage without more option given! This Tab A6 7″inch comes with as i said stock 8gb memory which some portion of it is occupied by the system memory that left u with only around 4gb left! This is where the problem sparks!! you can’t change the memory location to Sd Card tht has huge Gigabytes as compared to 8gb onboard minus 3.

8gb for internal system storage which technically the system comes with 4. 5 GB ONLY! No you literally cant change! u will only able to download Apps from google store that dont go beyond ur available 4.

5gb storage left! so having an Sd Card in the tablet is *PLAIN USELESS* as u only allowed to store images, music’s and videos! This have totally HINDERED ALL TAB A6 OWNER PRODUCTIVITY to the point that investing to this tab IS A WASTE OF MONEY!! Not to offence but Why Samsung would make a tablet that only left us with around 4.

5gb of storage? remind all of u SDcard is Useless and most big apps is not allowed to be move to sdcard. Upon purchasing this you will be often stumble upon the system that says “MEMORY FULL DELETE UNUSED APPS”.

Please release an update for this GREAT TABLET! The only Main Huge Big barrier we Tab A6 7″ SM-T285 owners have is THE STORAGE ISSUE! we know that at least android 6 marshmallow or above will allow us to change the storage location! Do something with this problem Samsung as i dont want to feel regret with your product? RM600+ for a tablet like this that runs Very Old Android is a total waste of Money.

This can get me Xiaomi tablet with android 8 and above already!! Hope to see an update for Tab A6 7″inch SM-T285 so that i can say Its the best tablet! I got this tablet a couple of weeks ago, (in white) and I am very pleased! 🙂 I was worried about getting the 7″, because I didn’t want it to be too small and I wanted something great, for my first tablet ever.

Because of this, and before I ordered, I tried to find size comparisons online, to see how big it was. I also watched YouTube videos, so I could see people handling it and the size of it in their hands.

I started thinking, also, that my new Galaxy S10 phone has like 6. 1″ screen and I didn’t want a tablet that was probably only slightly bigger – because I might as well just use my phone for watching stuff, then.

(In my defense, never had one, like I said. Lol) I eventually took the dive anyway, because of an e-certificate I received. I figured: Worse case, it was free anyway. I got the tablet very soon after, and it’s definitely bigger than I anticipated.

I didn’t expect that! Maybe because I didn’t factor in the width of the screen and all that other stuff, but they are no where near the same size. This made me extremely happy! I am so glad I bought it, it’s got a very beautiful screen and graphics, also.

It’s perfect for watching my shows on, and I love to watch it in bed. That’s my favorite use for it. I have always wanted a mini TV to mount on the wall by my bed, where I lay on my side, in my bedroom.

That way, my hubby can watch whatever he wants on our actual TV and I have my own thing – without having to have two TVs in one bedroom. And no fighting over the TV! Now, I might just mount this on the wall! 🙂 I always wanted it to be a mini cute one anyway and I have always been intrigued by mini TVs.

It is not only perfect in every way I need it to be, it really is a great tablet and I am confident (as long as you haven’t had many other huge sized tablets before this, like me) this one will be perfect for you, as well! As I already mentioned, I have not had any others, but even with no other previous tablets to compare it to: No complaints from me, about anything! It was already fast, but I put a 4GB SD card in it (it’s all I had) and it’s even faster now, it seems.

I can only imagine if you put a bigger one in it! They always say, “things seem so much better when they are free,” and as much as I 100% agree with that, I know now that I would have liked it either way.

It’s such a nice tablet, for such a cheap price, that now that I saw it and got to experience it, I would have definitely bought it either way. You can’t go wrong with this one. It would be great for you, and more than any kid would ever need.

For how cheap it is, I would probably just get this one for a child, instead of a child’s tablet, just because of all of the capabilities and the fact that: as long as they took care of it, they could still continue to use it when they were older, instead of having to upgrade from a child’s tablet to a regular tablet.

(Do as I did and buy a really cheap shockproof case w/ a built-in screen protector, like I did, and you won’t have to worry!! it will be protected) I love the thing! Best recent purchase I have made.

I have other products for ereading purposes but wanted one for when I would like to view color ebooks. I loaded MoonReader, Nook, and Kindle. I uninstalled updates to other pre-installed apps I will not be using which even though it does not completely remove the app, it reduced the size of the app.

I only use in Airplane mode when I am reading, and the battery life is great. Only Kindle and MoonReader appear to allow you to store books on SD card. You can read online how to sideload books for Moonreader and Kindle.

Due to the older Android OS you cannot move applications to the card. Samsung should really release a newer OS for this model. A later version OS would permit you to run applications from the SD card.

So be prepared for little to no space for applications, but if your using in similar fashion to me, you have plenty of space for ebooks dependent on SD card you use. Have to admit I am using this with my black and white ebooks now as well.

There is a display setting in the Samsung for book reading, but even Moonreader has a blue light filter in their settings. For the price, I think it is a great value. I do have a S10 and S2 as well from Samsung.

So, I REALLY wanted to like this device. I bought the ROG Flow Z13 from Best Buy, and bought the XG MOBILE dock from B&H (as Best Buy DOES NOT presently sell them). As a tablet on its own? You’re not going to get much battery life, even if you try to underwatt it via it’s on-board software settings, and the MUX switch doesn’t really work too effectively.

The XG MOBILE Dock is finicky — The XG mode does turn on SOMETIMES, even when you’ve confirmed that it’s locked in place, and works nicely when it wants to. BUT the XG MOBILE, even in brand new state, is inconsistent.

Part of the problem is the design — I presume that if ASUS ROG had designed BOTH CORDS TO BE DETACHABLE, that it would solve any intermittent issues. The XG MOBILE that I bought from B&H was brand new, BTW.

back to the ROG Flow Z13. You’re faced with a cool looking tablet that has an identity crisis — It WANTS to be a “gaming tablet”, with it’s i9 processor and (rather paltry) RTX 3050Ti discrete graphics, but offers nothing past 16GB of RAM, and has a VERY MEAGER 1TB SSD Slot to max out.

The fact that there are portable computer companies that are designing DUAL SLOT NVmE slots for even smaller designs (like the upcoming GPD Win Max 2), embarrasses the Flow Z13, who only thought to put the M.

2 2230 size slot, whereas there was MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM TO ALLOW A 2284 SLOT. As for the build quality? I returned on Z13, because the touchscreen stopped working. I returned a second one because the MUX Switch didn’t not properly work, and had issues working with an XG MOBILE dock that it’s designed to work with.

Being as this is a first design? Some might like it, if they don’t find defects with their device. In my case, however, the $2,052. 99 (with tax) cost was too high to justify with the number of plagued problems that I ended up encountering.

There are better devices for that kind of money. A shame. I really wanted a powerful tablet that was capable and reliable. I got neither with the ASUS ROG Flow Z13. What I wouldn’t give to have a word with their design and engineering team.

I applaud ASUS for attempting the first ever compact gaming tablet. This is a really great design and concept! I wish I could give it more than three stars but I have encountered enough intermittent issues that I am unable to give it beyond three stars.

This tablet is fast, with XG Mobile the full potential of the processor is brought it to the maximum. I use this tablet/XG Mobile with an external monitor for home use for schooling (doing math and science homework is amazing!) and almost always plugged in.

That being said, there are many quirks when connected to the XG Mobile. The first quirk is when properly disconnecting via the tray icon, after stopping all programs and successfully removing the XG mobile connector, the tablet will decide (intermittently) not to shut down or restart).

The second issue when connected to XG Mobile relates to the connected external monitor via HDMI. I typically set the monitors to extend however, on cold start or awakening from sleep/hibernate, the screen would automatically be set to the external monitor, all squished about 50% of the time.

The third issue, when and after connected to the XG Mobile, the tray icon box after hitting the up arrow would just flash quickly and randomly (extends to the 2021 ASUS ROG Flow X13 I own as well). Not sure what this is but it is super weird.

The next couple of issues relates to the tablet itself. The Micro SD card would intermittently not register (from sleep, cold start, or from hibernate). The corners of the screen are squishy (can feel and hear the plastic clicking).

When on the RTX 3050 Ti, I feel gaming is a bit worse than compared to the 2021 ASUS ROG Flow X13 as well as the CPU feels a bit slower than it was connected to the XG Mobile. In addition, the tablet and keyboard are a lot heavier than the ASUS ROG Flow X13 and holding the tablet like a clipboard to take notes feels a bit uncomfortable due to the weight.

The battery life is also shorter, making the 2021 X13 much better at school and on the road. I really think this device has potential, but the cost alone is way too much. at $1900+tax, it is not a feasible machine with all these hiccups.

I hope the next refresh or generation improves on many things and perhaps add a mini HDMI or full HMDI port on the tablet itself (like the ASUS ROG Flow X13). I would currently recommend the 2021/2022 ASUS ROG Flow X13 until some issues are sorted with the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 tablet.

The form factor, price, and power of this tablet were 100% perfect for my needs and use-case. Ran pretty much every game I threw at it with decent quality, rendered in Blender amazingly, and the pen support is exactly as advertised.

The problem is, this thing just isn’t ready for production. The Asus drivers and Windows update are constantly fighting (and anyone with a recent Windows version knows that you can’t just tell it you don’t want to update).

The touch screen stopped working on intermittent boots, and they type cover stopped working entirely. I couldn’t even update the keyboard’s firmware because it wouldn’t stay powered on for longer than a few seconds after attaching it.

I was incredibly disappointed in this lemon of a computer. Other issues worth noting; – Doesn’t work in Ubuntu, Fedora, or Arch because of dozens of driver issues. The hardware may be new, but it’s not from Mars, I should have been able to at least get one of them to reliably boot to a GUI at low resolution, but this machine couldn’t do it (and I’m a Linux Systems Engineer by trade, so it certainly wasn’t for lack of knowledge or tenacity) – The box has a very obvious place for an included pen, but Asus cheaped out at the last second and didn’t include it in this SKU.

– Removing boot options from the BIOS didn’t work. Would allow removal, but when saved, they’d still be there. – The only access to the second USB-C port is on the XG Mobile port, which is covered by a rubber cover that isn’t tethered to the body of the laptop, and sits super loose in the port.

I am certain that after a few days, this would have fallen off on it’s own in my bag and gotten lost forever. – Every other type cover I’ve ever used was able to be flipped around (attached backward) so that you could leave it attached but not have the keys exposed.

The way the magnets are arranged on this machine make that impossible. – The Asus color changing software for the silly RGB lighting didn’t respect user settings, so the little window in the back would either cycle colors annoyingly, or be the color I set my keyboard to (dim white), but stay on (despite my having set it as permanently off, because I didn’t want a BRO GAMER MACHINE LOL, I wanted a discrete workstation) – The power button has a fairly responsive fingerprint reader.

ANYTHING would have worked). Of course, I could only type a password WHEN THE KEYBOARD WORKED. I’m sure I could go on and on, but I think it’s sufficient to say that I had a terrible experience, (just like I had with their UX582 that came with horrible screen burn right out of the box), so it is unlikely that I’ll be purchasing another Asus product.

The hardware is amazing, but the driver support, user experience, and complete lack of response from their support staff, force me to leave 1 star.

I bought this tablet about a year in a half ago and besides my daughter cracking the screen, it has held up great. Plenty of room for all of her needs and hasn’t lagged at all. We did have one issue where it locked us out and we had to reset it but that happened month ago and hasn’t happened again so I’m guessing it just glitched.

This was our first bigger tablet. The graphics are clear and the sound quality is awesome. I’d definitely recommend this if you were looking for a tablet that wasn’t extremely pricey. Before this we only bought fire tablets and they don’t stand a chance next to this one.

It charges in a decent amount of time and holds a charge for a while. Since this isn’t our main tablet anymore, I let my daughter take it with her to school. She uses it on the bus and I only have to charge it every three days.

This tablet takes a C charger like most galaxy phones.

We now have two of these in our household. Battery life has been spectacular on ours. One was barely used before we bought it, and battery lasts for weeks at a time (use it for around 1 hour per day).

The other we don’t know how it was used before we bought, and battery still lasts for around a week or so with light use. The pen works great and is very handy to have. The kids love using it to color pictures on the PenUp app that comes with the tablet.

The Samsung Notes app has superior handwriting quality and makes it fun to take notes because the drawing looks so good. It’s not the most powerful tablet in the world, but works wonderfully for normal, day-to-day tasks and notetaking.

The only slight gripe is that it is super easy to accidentally tap the buttons at the bottom of the tablet. I’m constantly switching apps or hitting the back button without wanting to because it senses presses all the way to the bottom of the tablet.

But I can live with it for all the rest I get.

I bought this when it first came out. I’ve been a big fan of the note line of phone for the spen, so I was excited when they finally released a budget version. I’ll run through the cons real fast: 16 GB onboard storage (us version), so you have to manage the last couple of apps i put on it.

LCD screen is a bit of a compromise for price, but it’s a decent screen, with an alright viewing angle, that’s never felt limited. Any issues I’ve had was the result of my damage to the tablet. The good: budget tablet with high precision stylus input far cheaper than other marketplace competition at the time of release (2016/11) and even to this day (2018/12), particularly for Android.

For the equivalent today, if this wasn’t still around I would point people to an iPad and buy the Apple pencil, but the combined price would still be twice as much. I cant stomach the purchase of $500+ for tablet or android in general since I know an i5 laptop should start to be reasonably on sale, and will have greater computing power, but for the $250 spent in 2016 there was and is no greater bug on the market at the price.

The most amazing thing to me is almost nobody has heard about this tablet. This came out the year or exploding Note7’s but still almost no review sites have ever touched it. I purchased this primarily to take notes in class on pdfs issued by the professor’s.

While I ultimately decided a 3rd party app provided more tools and convenience over Samsung apps, I still think there plenty of useful features for the money spent. The spen is a pretty great stylus line with an active stylus layer built into as a layer of the screen so it can’t be added post purchase.

I will warn some screen protectors may interfere with the stylus, so my screen now goes without protections, but it’s been fine. As an active stylus, it’s a very accurate pen, and while I’m not an artist, I let an artist friend use it and she drew some awesome things with it.

It was kind of hard to get the tablet back from her as she got lost in the feature and apps. I put a 128 GB SD card in it for personal media, and since most music and video services allow for SD card downloads, I don’t run out of space.

For documents and productivity you can leverage cloud storage for improved storage flexibility and redundancy, so for normal document usage to you should experience issue with storage. Screen is fine for streaming video or internet browsing, although Chrome sometimes renders font poorly.

1080P is fine at this size for rending text without a notable screen door effect, and reduced power drain against a larger resolution. Battery life is pretty fantastic. I usually charge it once every other day or so.

I’ve been able to stream Netflix all day from a full charge, and while it’s lowbat the end of the day, if I needed more life the super power save mode can stretch the battery life several days, albeit at a very reduced workload.

Cameras are not super high resolution like a flagship smartphone, but they’re decent for the price. I don’t really use them except maybe to scan documents. I’ve never had a tablet with a sim card, so that’s not a feature I’d miss.

I just use my phone as a hotspot when I need it on the go, otherwise I spend 90% of my time at home or work, so the WiFi is just fine. So for my use case, if I had the money I would have preferred something like a Surface product, there are features in One note on surface that are just fantastic, but for the price of a surface I could buy a higher spec’d laptop and this table for casual note taking.

If I could just find a reasonable method to use this tablet as an external pc input/ display I’d be in mobile productivity heaven, but as it is, it’s still fantastic to pull out a tablet for meetings/class notes and stay engaged in the conversation in a way that a laptop can’t.

I purchased the Tab S6 as a replacement to an aging iPad. I chose it because I could install LineageOS on it, which I did to great success. It is unexpectedly thin, lightweight and attractive. That said, opting out of Apple’s ecosystem is not without some caveats, if you have used both, you know that apps on iOS are generally more stable and better supported, and Apple does support their hardware much longer than Android Mfgs support their devices.

But running this tablet has some nice perks to consider: A physical headphone jack Expandable storage via a microSD slot Included pressure sensitive, battery-less pen functionality (with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity).

This is similar to the Wacom Intuos tablets. The pen doesn’t need charging and is also magnetic and attaches to the tablet with a gentle snap to. (Apple doesn’t share how sensitive its Pencil is, but I imagine they are at least as good as this one.

But they do need to be charged and will set you back another 100-120 bucks. ) I installed the free and open source Krita and have been having a great time with it. The biggest perk for me is that I could install an alternative firmware app.

In my case, it is LineageOS, which I an running completely google free. I am finding it liberating not having to fight with my device to keep it from reporting on me. This has been so good, I might buy a second but am waiting to see if Lineage releases a package for newer hardware as this S6 is already 2 years old.

Just to let you know, I got this for Christmas in 2020 from the Samsung Store online. First things first, the Tab was big, but the size fits well to watch full episodes on streaming services and make some cool art.

It’s also well-protected too. Second, the features. The Tab does have a lot of cool things, like doing PENUP, the art app for Samsung Tab users. It can also play games that are too powerful for my phone to handle, like for example, the long-lost game that’s my favorite, Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle.

and another that’s my favorite co-op MMO, Mitrasphere. I was also able to do my art because of this using my own app! Oh, and it includes an S-Pen, which is a huge + for mangakas, artists, writers, etc.

Third and last, the specs. Mine can connect to WiFi and Bluetooth, which could need my Hotspot or fast internet connection if I want best of both worlds, but mine also has 128 GB of Storage, with a microSD card slot, and 4GB of RAM, which is very powerful to handle pretty much everything! Also, because of THAT many gigabytes for storage, it can even handle HD videos too and everything as well! That’s half the amount of what the computer has in terms of storage, but that’s okay.

It can even upgrade to another Android version, which is a nice charm to handle. With all these things that I said, it’s perfect for artists, gamers, viewers, everything! It’s $350 with tax and shipping if you buy it at the Samsung store, like what I did, and I highly recommend this cool piece of tech!Score: 10/10.

I ordered two of these tablets. Nice display and docking station and solid, well-constructed tablet. I’ve had continuing and frustrating problems with WiFi on both tablets that I continue to troubleshoot by easter-egging.

One worked fine on my 5GHz WiFI (but dropped intermittently), but wouldn’t connect to my 2. 4GHz WiFi. Second one wouldn’t stay connected to either WiFi network. Returned the second one for a replacement.

Replacement would drop 5GHz and connect to 2. 4GHz, but would lock up and not function until I disconnected and reconnected. Finally, after reading Lenovo forums, I turned off Bluetooth on both tablets since it appears to interfere with 2.

4GHz WiFi. Both tablets worked intermittently on both WiFi freqs. Finally, disconnected first tablet from 2. 4GHz and used only 5GHz and disconnected second tablet from 5Ghz and used only 2. 4GHz, with Bluetooth off on both tablets, and they seem to be working OK for now.

No issues with my router, and all other WiFi devices work perfectly on both WiFi freqs. Still considering returning both.

Tablet is great. Battery life very acceptable and unit is thin and comfortable. It’s not an exceptionally fast Android device, but has reasonable responsiveness and adequately handles standard video/audio along with split screen multitasking.

Screen clarity is excellent and the internal storage is great. The Alexa dock function is nice – although imperfect. Commands are understood and speaker quality is fine (albeit not in a forward firing stereo speakers – as one speaker appears to fire to the rear) It is frustrating that there seems to be no way to command the screen “off” or have it time out completely – no relevant settings exist under the Show app or Alexa app.

(Asking Alexa to turn of the display has proven to turn into a pointless argument). Even after a power key press, the Show app continuously employs a “presence” detection through both the ambient light sensor and front camera – that wakes the display when you walk by.

(while on the dock, I found that blocking both sensors is the only way to keep the screen off until a wake word is issued). This continual “screen on” state may be great for a device that is running solely from A/C power, however this device is continuously running from battery – and thus constantly pushing it through charge/discharge cycles.

It does have a battery protection mode that will supposedly limit battery fatigue (assuming you are OK pulling it from the dock and having a remaining charge somewhere between only 40% and 60%). This should have been engineered differently to pull power from the dock while halting the battery charge – avoiding continual battery drain/charge cycles and the need for a “battery protection mode” at all.

At an absolute minimum it should allow the screen to completely time-out and reduce the discharge rate – but this is impossible as the Alexa Show App forces a clock display for its screensaver. Of course, if you only use the dock infrequently or as a bluetooth speaker – it still makes for a nice add-on.

One more very confusing aspect is the implementation of the Alexa Show app which seeming leverages the Alexa App underneath. However when the Alexa app is in the foreground, you effectively have 2 Alexas available within the same device.

It’s very strange – and I was actually able to drop-in from the Alexa app to my Alexa Show app (bothe within the tablet) – which as one might expect created an audio feedback loop. It’s more of a laughable quirk than anything.

Overall, I have had a pleasant experience with this tablet so far. The combination of price, display, storage and performance was the best I could find around the price point I purchased it at. I find the audio quality of the dock to be good as well when considering its size.

Some observations: Lenovo’s ROM is pretty close to stock Android without too much bloat. The tablet performed well as a MIDI controller over USB with the DAW Studio One. No complaints about WLAN performance when connecting over 5GHz or 2.

4GHz. YouTube videos seem to play fine at up to 1440p/30. The FHD display helps see small text/icons when using the tablet as a remote desktop client. The webcam is good enough for meetings/video calls.

The bootloader can be unlocked via the developer options. I have not had a chance to test the USB OTG capabilities yet. The two things I would like to see improved are: It seems that more manufacturers are now promising longer software support for their Android devices.

It would be great to see Lenovo do the same with devices such as this one: Maybe reconsider releasing an update to Android 11 at some point? It seems that the dock only works as a speaker with the M10 tablet.

Other devices can pair with it but do not seem to be able to use it as an output. I would have liked the dock to work as a Bluetooth speaker without being tied to a particular device.

This is a great tablet that I purchased for my 85 year old dad. He’s thrilled. Charges quickly and easy to use. Fast and really good value. Thanks again.

I thought I had balanced my expectations of this device, but was left seriously disappointed. OK so this is a budget device and I got it significantly below the standard list price due to my student discount and even at that price I was disappointed.

If I’d paid full price for this tablet without a doubt it would have been sent back. I needed a basic tablet to do emails, a bit of web browsing and some reading. For those functions provided you are willing to put up with the sluggish performance it’s just about OK.

If you buy this tablet expect to wait a few seconds for apps to load, expect to wait several seconds when you click into a text field for the keyboard to jerk slowly into view, don’t expect to multi-task or run anything but basic applications.

I didn’t expect a premium or fast device here, but equally I didn’t expect that the tablet would struggle to do simple things like bring up a keyboard on screen. I certainly didn’t expect that it would not even be capable of implementing basic expectations of the operating system.

On a number of occassions I’ve tried using the search feature within settings, on every occassion I’ve been left with a spinning circle for several minutes whilst the tablet attempts futilely to perform a simple search.

Every time I’ve had to give up and use Google to find out where the setting I need is instead. I’ll put up with this tablet for now until budget allows for an upgrade, but unless you are on a limited budget I would stronly recommend spending a little bit more for a more capable device.

I actually quite like this tablet. Samsung has done a pretty good job making the OS feel good on a larger screen. There are problems though, mainly hardware, that drag this tablet down and therefore make it a purchase I cannot recommend.

– The tablet is surprisingly heavy. If you hold up your tablet while lying in bed, this tablet isn’t for you. – The bezels are actually too thin meaning trying to use the tablet is difficult because accidental presses are frequent and incredibly annoying.

– The placement of the on/off button is difficult to get used to and when trying to adjust the volume, you’ll often accidentally turn the screen off (or on). – The screen is too bright on its lowest setting (even with the night filter switched on).

Of course this isn’t an issue during the day but as I have alluded to, many people will likely use this tablet in bed, probably before going to sleep and a highly bright screen is not a welcome feature.

– There’s way too much bloatware with double apps for almost everything. There’s also apps you probably don’t want like Facebook or Outlook and of course you can’t uninstall a lot if these (though you can hide them — this doesn’t free up system space or resources though).

Also, while not Samsung’s fault, most apps aren’t designed for larger screens on Android. These may seem like small problems but you try using this tablet as a daily companion like my much-loved iPad and these things will quickly grate.

Samsung needs to spend more time and care developing its products.

I have mixed feelings about this product as it is nothing but a glorified Samsung phone that is just bigger. Unlike my older Samsung tablet, this product is meant to incorporate all of the successful items found on Samsung Galaxy phones.

However, what I wanted was a tablet and not a super-sized phone, which is what this is. It’s even shaped like a phone. The side controls that designers have included make it very difficult to hold vertically as you’re always hitting one of the side buttons.

And when you grab it by the edge, it inadvertently activates some other function or app that you don’t want right in the middle of something else that you’re doing. I’m just glad it doesn’t have Bixby which I loathe on my Galaxy phone and why I won’t be getting another Galaxy phone when I can afford a new one, as phones now average close to $1000.

00. So everything on this tablet must either be viewed as a vertical object (as it is a sharp rectangle) or in widescreen (again, because it is a sharp rectangle). My other tablet had a squarer screen which made it possible to use for drawing or making a printed page.

With this tablet being so sharp a rectangle, that isn’t possible as it won’t fit any paper. So you either have to cut the sides or the top and bottom. It’s very thin and needs a stand orelse its just unwieldy.

While I got a good price ($199 for having 128 GB of memory) I wouldn’t buy one like it again. Imagine if they took your laptop screen and lopped off the top and bottom. That’s the screen. Too much of a rectangle.

OK, this is the 4th tablet I’ve had, all of them have been Samsung. The last one was the Tab A 2016, so i will be comparing it to that one here. I bought this because of more space originally, the old Tab A only had 16 GB of storage, and 2 GB of ram, and the biggest Micro SD card that would work on that one was a 128 GB SD Card.

I don’t use that tablet of gaming or for school. I usually store a lot of games on it, and read books on it, maybe play a game of chess, and watch my streaming services. Compared to the old Tab A, this one is a little bit thinner, and the speakers are better, the screen is about the same.

It is a little quicker, the battery is where I thought there would be a big difference. But there isn’t? The old Tab A actually has a bigger battery about 1000 mAh, and I put a new one in last April.

So watching movies, or YouTube or Netflix, the battery was about the same? The weight, which surprised me is about the same. I don’t know about the camera’s, I don’t use the tablet to shoot pictures.

Having enough space, 128 GB on the tablet, and I added a 256 GB micro SD card for even more room was great. Having the upgraded operating system was really nice too. But the tablet NOT shutting off when you close the tablet cover, that was a downer.

But even though there’s plenty of space, the picture is good, and the speakers are OK, I’m returning the tablet to get the Galaxy Tab A7. It’s bigger, has 4 speakers which are louder instead of 2 for surround sound.

The processors are pretty much the same, 1000 more pixels, and 1000 more mAh on the battery, and it’s just a little bit thinner. So that will be my tablet for the next few years. If you want to get this tablet, there’s nothing wrong with picking it up.

It should work good for you and do what you want it to do. It’s a great tablet for the price!.

I know when I was first looking out at buying a new tablet and constantly searching for the right one to fit my budget. I kept looking at reviews of this tablet all over social media and genuinely I dont think they give it enough positivity.

This tablet is absolutely amazing whilst many of you may feel its not good enough for fast pace shooters etc it still handles everything else like its porridge. I have no issues whatsover with this product.

The best thing about it is how well it streams and for entertainment purposes. Big thumbs up to samsung on this one! Feels premium Looks premium Responds fast/ handles daily tasks with ease Only thing that I would say is it would be nicer to have abit longer battery life.

If anyone was thinking about this tablet I would say go for it, its an amazing tablet at a great price and whilst it’ll be 2years old at the end of this year its still up to date and handles most task u throw at its way.

The only thing u might have an issue with is fast pace shooters like I said before.

I purchased Thanksgiving Week 2021 and first problem happened March 2022, the charging port pins broke and wouldn’t charge correctly. Luckily I purchased the ALL STATE protection plan and had it sent to get fixed.

Month later the battery wouldn’t charge at all and I had it sent again to fix it. The day I received it back it looked fine but then the touchscreen was no responding. The power button and volume buttons were working but not the touchscreen at all.

I sent it a 4th time to get fixed and returned, the tablet wouldn’t even turn on. There was a sudden white flash on the tablet with black ink cracks in the corner then would stay off. It looked internally damaged but the touch screen had no scratches or cracks.

I purchased an amazing rubber/impact casing for this tablet since Day 1. This is my 1st terrible experience with SAMSUNG and I am very disappointed in the the repair center as well. They send this summary of checklist when they return the product back but it doesn’t look like they actually confirm anything off their list.

I sent my tablet once to SAMSUNG to get it repaired since it’s been less than 1 yr manufacturing but they gave me a bogus excuse that it has water damage inside. Only reason I say bogus is bc they sent me a detail summary stating they are returning back broken only with no reason at all.

I had to call SAMSUNG to figure out why they could not fix it, they placed me on hold for almost 30 minutes to see why nothing was done and claimed it was water damaged. Like I said my table was covered in rubber shock proof casing where only openings is the camera lens and port charger.

Terrible service on their part and if they found water damage, they would have written it on the statement in the summary but it seems SAMSUNG knows and may be hiding the fact there a lot of defects for this tablet model and should just own up to it.

As I said since I purchased the ALL STATE coverage and after several attempts for them to fix it. They are just refunding me the price I purchased the tablet only. I don’t mean to bash Sams Club or Samsung but this has been a bad experience for me.

I purchased a few TVs and soundbards from Sams Club, it still works great for years with no coverage. I see that this may be just a bad manufacturing problem for this tablet model type. Definitely purchase warranty coverage for your devices though.

I bought this tablet specifically because it was advertised as being able to increase internal storage via SD Card. We just reached our 32gb limit of internal space and purchased an SD Card. Turns out you can only store photos etc on the SD Card.

I already pay for cloud storage for those things so the SD card was a waste of money. Our 32gb internal storage was used up really quickly with apps/games for both my son and I. None of which can be stored on the SD Card so now we have a tablet that wont hold all the apps/software we need and I’m not sure what to do.

I’m constantly having to delete apps so that I can download the one I need, then deleting that app after using it so I can download the app I deleted in order to use that. I looked over the advertising again and it’s very misleading, the wording implies that the SD Card works as an extension of the internal storage, I couldn’t see it mentioned anywhere that it only applied to certain types of files and not software.

The tablet even has the option to move apps to the SD Card, but when I do that it doesn’t change the storage totals and never actually appears on the storage list for the SD Card, it is still listed under internal storage but with a note that its on the SD Card.

I’m furious that I spent hundreds of dollars on a device that doesn’t do what I need it to. So if you are considering this product because of the additional storage capability, make sure you take stock of exactly what type of storage you need and whether it can be stored on the SD Card.

If not you will need to purchase one with larger internal storage.

Thin, crisp lines and clear graphics. A responsive tablet with a screen that’s large enough for most all uses yet small enough to carry in most inside coat pockets. Charging time is reasonable and battery life is good enough for a long day, about 10-12 hours.

Setup is straight forward except when it comes to transferring data from an older computer, tablet or iPh9ne. There are built-in steps and instructions to help you transfer data external data. Unfortunately it assumes you understand USB cabling jargon.

The instructions only say to you need to “connect” the two devices. Actually, you’ll need to a USB-A Male to USB-C Female cable which is not included. Fortunately, they can be purchased inexpensively: $2-5.

I’d recommend a slim protector case. The heavy-duty protection is only necessary for rough use. I recommend this because the 10. 4 and larger tablets are narrow, thin and can feel slippery so it CAN slip right out of your hands.

The good ones can be purchased on-line, since manufacturers typically sent the good ones to brick and mortar companies. Over all, from my experience, I’d say the device is most satisfactory for my use.

I thought I had done something wrong with this tablet to make it this slow, but no. It’s such a common problem with this tablet, I can’t believe Samsung had the audacity to release this. In all honesty, this tablet is awful.

It’s so, so slow. I can barely load anything with this thing, it’s a miracle it’s still usable. It worked okay for the first couple of months, but immediately went downhill from there. Even though I barely used it and have plenty of storage space left, it’s performance is absolute garbage.

Not to mention, it’s not even compatible with a number of popular apps. I can’t even update Chrome anymore. Save your money, this thing is most certainly NOT worth your money. Take it from me, I wish I had just bought a better tablet.

With black friday approaching I wanted to review this tablet for those that are probably considering this deal. I’ve purchased two of these for my kids during black Friday deals week myself. First one I bought in 2016, 2nd one 2017.

$69 is a decent deal when they’re usually around $90 the rest of the year. The first one worked for less than a year before it started “boot looping”. It shut down one day and would not boot past the Samsung logo.

It would shut down, get stuck on the logo, restart continuously. Luckily I had paid for the Walmart protection plan (highly recommend purchasing that). They refunded me the full price I paid so I decided to purchase the Samsung Tab A, a similar upgraded model.

It’s approximately $20ish dollars more but worth it. Better battery, no lag and more responsive. Now my kids fight over using that one because the Tab E lite is so very slow, video is choppy, etc. It’s an outdated tablet right out of the box.

In the 2 years we’ve owned this model the android operating system has never been updated. Apps are becoming incompatible, especially YouTube and other video apps. I’ve tried restoring it and downloading nothing but YouTube kids on it to see if it would help but nope.

If you’re considering this tablet for yourself or your kids and you plan on watching Netflix or YouTube, pay the extra $20 for the Samsung Tab A.

Horrible screen. Gives headache after 10 minutes. Hard to view, constantly adjusting to get a crisp angle but there is none. Bright. Yes its bright. Blinding in the dark even after turning brightness down until unviewable.

Please note that as in description it is Android 4. 4. But also note that it is cannot be upgraded to newer versions of Android. The software is past its prime and no longer supported. Several apps i commonly use on other android devices are not compatible with this old version of Android 4.

4. My niece bought it for me for Christmas so I have been forcing my self to use it the last month but i find myself using my mobile phone browser while i wait for web pages to load on the tablet or not load at all.

All my other devices work seamlessly and blazingly fast on my home network but i struggle with this tablet to get and keep a WiFi connection. It cannot multitask with data. It updates the apps every time i turn it on and while this happens nothing else can access wifi for the duration which may be 1 minute or 20.

I have a 5 year old blackberry play book tablet which has a far superior display and faster internet connections and browsing. Please don’t gift this item, that is just cruel. Spend a little more a give something useful.

The device may be a cheap solution for dedicated apps such as using it to stream music to the bathroom Bluetooth speakers. I use mine to start my car and works well to display home control apps turning lights on and off.

However I don’t recommend this tablet for reading or web browsing.

This either was or was my second of the same kind of tablet and I was so happy because I needed one for so long since my MacBook went out on me. Definitely wasn’t disappointed! It took less that half a day to figure out the difference between the iOS system and Android but it’s all pretty self explanatory.

I’d definitely say it went really well and I prefer watching things on my (Now upgraded but still Samsung Android) tablet). Highly recommend, even for the apple freaks out there lol. Biggest bonus: If you have a Costco membership that slashes the prices down even more! ☺ï¸.

This has been hands down one of my favorite tablets to use daily. The 9. 7 in screen is just the right size for me from streaming Netflix and Hulu , to browsing on Pinterest , playing my mobile games , surfing the web , and social media.

It handles day to day tasks with a breeze. The tablet is a bit heavier than other tablets I have used in the past. The battery life is phenomenal. I get about almost two days with heavy use. and it would stay on for almost a week with light use.

The volume is decent for a tablet , I can play Spotify and easily listen to it with no problems or complaints. This tablet has a handy meme pet card slot to expand the storage space which I absolutely love , and think all devices should have this option.

The tablet runs smooth and is fairly quick with loading apps, I haven’t had many crashes of applications either. The tablet seems incredibly well built , it is Samsung though and the products I have owned of this brand are great and is what keeps me coming back and trusting the brand.

The screen is vibrant and it is just a beautiful powerhouse tablet that doesn’t break the bank!.

I’ve owned this tablet since 2015, and it’s still going strong! The screen has held up a hell of a lot better then I was expecting, with only a few shallow scuff marks that are barely visible, I use this tablet mainly for Spotify, Pinterest, Reddit and Crochet projects.

The camera has sadly been rendered useless due to multiple little scratches to the camera lense and the battery life is actually rather impressive and charges faster then my Samsung Tab 2 9. 7.

I was happy with this phone so far. It’s a bit of a downgrade from my aging Galaxy s model but to be honest I didn’t see much of a difference between this one and the flagships. The phone quality is as good as the S models.

It does have a plastic back but if you are going to use a case it’s no big deal. The processor speed fits my needs. If you are a big gamer or social media user you may need to charge your phone more often.

But for me even on my heavy Social media usage days I still have enough battery life to get me through the day. Overall the phone fit my needs. The cameras work well and take clear photos. The call quality is clear and I haven’t had any dropped calls.

I liked the option for the expandable storage as well. I will not that the phone does not include a SIM card or a charging block. Set up on my current cell provider was a breeze so I haven’t had any real issues as of yet.

I’ve owned my SM-350 Tab A for about five years now, and it keeps going. It’s not much more than a backup device I’ll occasionally use for playing Spotify or YouTubing, but if you don’t mind the laggy performance it suffers with modern apps, it can serve a purpose.

Serious Con: There are no Samsung/Android OS updates for it for quite a while now. I’m running Android 9. This can be a security risk, so be mindful of how and where you still use it in 2023 and beyond.

Pro: In Airplane Mode with Wi-Fi on, battery life is still quite good after all this time. Streaming Netflix etc. is perfectly acceptable if you aren’t multi-tasking.

love this tablet so much that i bought one for each of my family members. along with the otterbox for protection. the only con is after a couple of years of having the tablet, samsung discontinued the tablet and any new updates that would accomodate the apps.

there is no point of using the tablet because now it runs slow, and most apps are not comparable. wish they would allow us to trade more than two tablets. the second ine is less than the forst trade at the same timez they basically give you $25 to trade the tablet for a new $250 tablet.

Had a nook HD+ and downsized the screen just slightly, but the screen and display are totally out of the park with this tablet. It has just as much onboard memory, as my previous had, however has the new extra additional choice of where to store your items either onboard or off on a micro sd card.

So Aweseome for this ability! Going from the Nook HD + I was also able to keep all of my apps from barnes and noble, and still use them. However, I hadn’t purchased anything for some time and didn’t know that they had also stopped selling them back in 2016.

As what I had, already had been sufficient. The response time, and the reading experience is so much more enhanced! Now the total best part is although I downsized slightly, I reduced the amount of weight overall by quite a lot, Ease of transportation, is just wonderful.

My other nook was a Nook Tablet, and we had a Nook Color as well. This has topped all of what we were looking for, and has been one of the best purchases of an update I could have done for my older models.

Downside- I had made one of the diagram pass codes, and it refused to acknowledge it. Making me reset the item by searching google for instructions. This seems to be across the board of the item not being able to remember passwords, pins, or diagrams.

Best option is back your stuff up if you have made a recent purchase, or just flow with the few errors it has. Now, I am an iPhone user, however for the cost, and the BN Branding is why I bought it for the nook functions, it works beautiful, and didn’t cost of as much as one of the ipads.

I’d buy another one if necessary, just for the added need in our home. Great little item, and from what others have told me that have android smilar tablets, sync perfect to them as well.

For the price this was a good deal, although the battery leaves a lot to be desired. It only lasts a few hours before it reaches critical status and goes belly up. But this was a rehab so you get what you pay for.

I bought it for my wife. a senior, who’s computer learning curve is rather steep. So it being the kids version was ideal. The software is user friendly and seems to do the basics that she needs to do on a tablet while traveling and in a medical office.

It does the basics that a tablet should do for the price I paid. I would not pay the price for a new one though due to its limitations and low battery life. But for occasional use I would recommend this tablet if you can get it for a decent price.

My only complaint is the batter and it is not user friendly to replace. You can buy a kit on like that gives you the tools and the battery to do it yourself. But you have to be very careful servicing this yourself since once slip of the hand and you will crack the screen.

So beware of the battery life if you buy used or a refurb.

Though I have extensive experience on four OSes (Windows, Apple, Unix, Linux) used by PCs, this is my first tablet. I am pleased with my purchase. I chose the 9. 7 in tablet over the 8 in tablet since I have large hands and since I am used to large screens.

That was an excellent decision! The smaller tablet likely would have frustrated me. I use my tablet mostly for reading (Kindle, doc and pdf files, etc. ) and watching videos (downloaded Silent Service shows and Netflix movies).

Even with the larger format, the virtual keyboard is not large enough nor does it perform in a manner that lets me do touch typing. So I leave productive work (this review, for example) to my PCs. Others may be more facile than am I with tablets and can do productive work on them more easily.

That is not a hit on Samsung, just the nature of tablets I greatly appreciate the Samsung personalizations of the android OS. They have increased the usability of this platform for me and have provided a source of applications that I feel I can trust more than those otherwise found only on Google Play.

The battery’s stamina is nice! I can spend a large part of my day watching videos or reading books before they need recharging. I have not even bothered doing some things that would make the battery last longer, such as turning off WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use.

I installed a 128 GiB extension card and I’m glad that I did. I have plenty of real estate remaining, despite my extensive downloads of videos and documents. It took me quite some time to figure out how to create and use folders on that card, though.

The voice command bit is cute but I confess not to using it, just out of habit. The handwriting to text bit is cute also, but the passive stylus needed for this type of tablet makes me feel like I’m picking my teeth with a garden spade.

So I personally do not benefit much from those gimmicks. However, they might be useful adaptive features for some, especially the voice commands. The device is sturdily built, though I did add a Sparin tempered glass screen protector to the screen.

And I have put the tablet in a nice case made by Tech Vendor. Both were obtained via Amazon. I created fingerprint images for unlocking and authorizations but the tablet still insists on using the PIN that I created as a back-up.

I could have just stuck with PIN security. The largest lacking in my view is that there is not enough easily found documentation on how to do things on the tablet. A lot of what is out there tells you what you can do without saying enough about how to do it.

Experienced tablet users, especially of android tablets, probably don’t want as much hand-holding as I was looking for. In all, a good buy and a great product!.

I bought my ipad 7th generation in January 2020. It was a pretty good tablet. I used it mainly to play games, and it ran smoothly. There wasn’t any problem till now. Today I checked there was a new update available so I installed it.

It was going fine till it restarted (all updates requires restart) It turned off and never turned on again. There was sufficient battery before the update so low battery was not a reason for it to shut off.

Connected with multiple working chargers, PC, did hard resets and even took it to the apple customer service center and was informed it wasnt a software issue but a hardware problem and the ipad couldnt be repaired.

The only solution they offered was a replacement but it will cost 36k INR as it was out of warranty. I googled why my ipad became dead after the update: Apparently, this issue was a common issue among this model, a2197 and cannot be fixed.

I am pretty upset that it cannot be resurrected cause apple choose to replace its products not repair. The idea behind this is to increase profits by selling new models not repairing old ones. Apple wanted to make the planet a better place by using recycled objects.

But how does it plan to handle unrepairable devices ??? Or does it sell those irrepairable devices as new ones just to make customers pay for old things ??.

I purchased an iPad (7th Generation) July of 2020. Nearly exactly two years after purchasing it, immediately after doing an update, I can no longer use it. Battery was fully charged before installing update but suddenly the iPad no longer had battery.

Nor would it accept charge when I plugged it in to recharge what I thought was a full battery. I’ve gone back and forth with Apple’s Tech Support, in-store so called “genius” reps, and even with a particular 3rd party vendor and their “geek squad”.

All have confirmed it’s an internal issue but since the iPad is conveniently past the manufactures warranty, Apple’s only solution is to replace it at my expense. Doesn’t seem fair, especially when a quick search on google of my specific issue reveals it is a known issue with Apple devices.

Yet Apple doesn’t care or even bother to offer a small voucher or credit to help replace the unit. Don’t bother going to the Arrowhead Town Center location either. All they do is smile, nod in agreement and say that they’re sorry and they understand but unfortunately it’s past the warranty.

How convenient and how pathetic. their employees have no discretion to make things right. They are definitely the worst company to do business with. Horrible service and business practices.

It finally came exactly 3 weeks after ordering. And I am happy with my iPad. The color is just what I wanted. As this is my first Apple product it took a little getting used to but no major problems.

The reason my rating is not full 5 stars are the additional things that comes with this deal. The case and Bluetooth keyboard work great with my new iPad, and I have no problems using them with the tablet.

However the other package with the carry pouch, headphones, stand, and stylus are a waste of time. It would have been better if they dropped the deal price and just sold the case with keyboard. The carry pouch is too small to accommodate the 10.

2″ tablet, unless you stretch it, let alone if you want to add the tablet in the case, with a charger as you normally would. It will not fit. The stand is quite flimsy, and although it does allow you to have the tablet standing, it’s not very sturdy for this size tablet.

The headphones simply won’t work. They are a standard connection, and as I now know Apple uses different ports so they will not work, unless you buy an adapter or get a Bluetooth headset. And the stylus, is just a pen with a rubber nob, not an Apple pen or similar which I was expecting to be in the package.

I’m sure I could find a better deal, but I love the idea of not paying all at once, which gives me a chance to try the product. I would recommend this product but just be aware that the carry case and headphones are not compatible with this table or it’s size.
