I bought this product at my local health store. Came here looking for a better price. I actually eat these as is and working on a flavored chip recipe. I made the miso soup recipe as well as made sushi rolls.
Highly recommend this product. I am ordering from here as they are about 40% cheaper here.
Never used this for making sushi, but this is a favourite snack for my 1 and 3 year old! We just rip the sheets into smaller pieces and the kids love it. Great for snacks on the go as it’s not too messy.
I am sensitive to gluten so I use these sheets for my bread substitute sometimes. I know sea vegetables are good for your health so this is a good way to get them in my diet. I also tear them in pieces and eat them like chips to try and stop eating high calorie chips.
Don’t be fooled, this beautiful tray of sushi is all sweet and gummified! This delicious box of classic sushi in candy form is a wonderful reward for good grades, a great snack to share with friends, perfect party favors, or even just practicing using chop sticks.

The set is soo cute, it is very realistic looking and the attention to detail was impressive. The different textured candy mixed together was unique as well and the flavours were delicious. My daughter really enjoyed this.
I purchased this thinking that there were going to be 9 packs of this sushi candy (listing says 9 count) but they really meant this one little pack has 9 pieces of candy in it. $14. 99 for one small pack of candy.

Brand is “Best Of Thailand”. Neither the item’s description nor pictures on the website indicate Country of Origin. After ordering I found it is NOT Thailand as indicated. Instead, the label states “PRC” (People’s Republic of China).
China may now be using PRC to fool people like us that do not eat anything from China. ALSO, although bottles are plastic and are both shrink-wrapped, one of them is leaking. I put these bottles in the trash.
I purchased this twin-pack after reading all the great reviews; but I was disappointed. The taste of this ginger is too sharp and spicy. Not smooth like the kind you get in restaurants. I’m probably going to toss the rest and would not buy again.
Organic California Sushi Rice 2 lbs (907 grams) Bag(s) – If you make your own sushi, Organic California Sushi Rice by Lundberg Family Farms should be a staple in your pantry. California Sushi Rice is a classical Japanese rice grown to be used in sushi dishes, but it can also be used in salads and other Asian dishes.
Super delicious. It’s not easy to find organic sushi rice. This one is amazing quality for the price. I use to make Korean dishes as well as sushi. Also, after lots of research I found this to be the only brand that’s arsenic free.
There is a lot of information posted on their website. I love the transparency and wealth of data that they provide.
excellent sticky quality and cooks well. I followed the directions on the package instead of my old directions for cooking sushi rice. Will try my old directions later. I LOVE that this great product is grown in the USA! Thank you Lundberg Family Farms for a great product which is also ORGANIC.
This product is not screened to be whole, intact rice grains. Broken rice are the pieces that are cracked and broken during processing or storage. I’m more familiar with this grade being sold and labeled separately – and less expensively.
Yes, it’s still rice, but it cooks more quickly, gets mushy, and leaks starch out, changing the texture of the entire dish. Usually this is cooked using much less water (1-1/4c water per cup of rice).
We are already willing to pay a premium price for the organic label, and it’s irritating that inclusion of these pieces is not identified as such. Also, my kids noticed a small white pebble in the rice, which can happen in rice, so be careful when eating it.
Sushi Chef sesame seeds are the kind used in the finest Japanese restaurants. They have a delicate flavor and make an attractive and delicious addition to a number of Japanese dishes. They can be sprinkled on vegetables or salads, ground and added to dipping sauces, or mixed into rice dishes.
Sesame seeds are best if dry roasted just before their use. Put the seeds in a heavy ungreased pan and place over medium heat. Shake the pan occasionally until the seeds turn golden brown (about one minute).
Remove from heat immediately and serve. Nutritional Information: This product has no significant nutritional value per 1/4 tsp. serving.
I use this sesame seeds as decoration for the sushi rolls I prepare or as a topping for the wakame salad, they taste very good and this ones are better than others I’ve used before. I really liked them and recommend this product.

i got this sushi rice like a long time ago and i forgot to write a review but i have to admit it’s rlly good!! i cooked it in a pot and then incorporated rice vinegar (be warned the smell is rlly strong) and the rice was so good chile i could eat that alone and it would taste good LMFAO.
Do you love rolling your own sushi? I do! It makes a great lunch choice– portable and customized (I personally love making mine with veggies and shrimp). This sushi rice is great because it comes in its own resealable container, and– when make according to the directions– is perfectly sticky for sushi (an important factor!).
Nutritious, organic, and delicious. Great sushi requires fluffy, sticky rice, and for that it is hard to beat Clearspring’s organic brown sushi rice. Grown organically in the Piemonte region of northwest Italy (well-known for its cultivation of risotto rice), the bran layer on this selenio rice has been kept on for extra nutritional benefits and a delightful hint of nutty flavour.
As well as being perfect for making sushi, this rice can also be served alongside other homecooked Japanese meals.
I was able to make wonderful vegan sushi with this rice. I found it very easy to cook to perfection (I have a lot of experience cooking brown rice generally but this was my first try at cooking sushi rice) while I was preparing various fillings and sauces and my maki rolls came out looking professional on the first go.
I did not follow the best practice advice of washing and soaking the rice either, so it could have been even better in theory. Superb product that I will definitely buy again for making sushi.
I always wash my rice and use a rice cooker. Using precisely the same method with any rice means the taste, texture and consistency of the quality really show up. Clearspring sushi is always moist, with a good firm core and a good clear taste.
I like diversity in my rice, but clearspring sushi is one I come back to over and over again.
Organic Pickled Sushi Ginger This is it! Pure pickled ginger for the most discerning sushi chefs. Left in its natural, ivory-colored state the way Mother Nature intended. As a garnish, use it along with a dab of wasabi on grilled ahi tuna. Ingredients organic ginger, organic cane sugar, rice vinegar, citric acid. One ounce contains 20 calories, 0g fat, 5g carbs. Gluten Free.
I love this ginger!! It has helped immensely with my digestion issues at night. I used to buy it locally but haven’t been able to find it. In an online search, I was surprised to find Swanson’s not only had the ginger in a jar, but also many of the other ginger chews and products by The Ginger People.
I will definitely be using Swanson’s for my ginger needs. Note: I gave this 4 stars because my order of 4 jars came with two of them leaking very badly. Fortunately, they were eacj in their own ziploc bag, so the liquid was pretty much contained, though some leaked out into the shipping box.
Swanson’s not only replaced my defective jars but replaced my original order in its entirety. Unfortunately, there were small leaks of two of the replacement jars. Rather than repeat this process, I just ignored the issue, and kept the 6 good jars.
I have explained to Swanson’s that there should be another way to pack these jars to prevent leakage. I hope they figure this out. I don’t want to lose another source for this product!.
I was stoked to find this online at Vitacost. I make rolls and sahimi at home, but finding good ginger that isn’t full of preservatives has been a chore. Fresh grated is best, but this is a close second.
Good flavor, inexpensive, and it even works well with cooked fish.
Clearspring Organic Sushi Rice is ideal for creating delicious, perfectly cooked rice that can be used in Japan’s most celebrated dish, sushi. The short grain Selenio rice variety has characteristics very similar to the Japonica rice that is used to make sushi in Japan.
It is organically grown in the Piemonte region of northwest Italy, an area also renowned for the cultivation of risotto rice. Once ripened, the rice is then polished to perfection by a rice miller located in the nearby town of Trino.
When only the outer most layer of a grain of rice is removed and brown rice is produced. To produce white rice, the next layers underneath the husk are removed leaving mostly the starchy endosperm.
Clearspring’s rice is unfortunately too dry. It may be too high temperature during to dry it. White rice is easy to crumble during washing it. Brown rice is never sprout during soaking in the water. It is pity.

2 Add the washed rice to 330ml fresh cold water and bring to the boil. Then simmer on a low heat for 10 minutes with the lid on. 3 Turn off the heat and leave to stand for 10 minutes with the lid on before serving.
The Yutaka range of Japanese food products was introduced to the UK market in 1995. The growing range now includes ingredients for sushi, sauces, soups, rice, noodles and “easy to use” meal kits. Having been the first in the market, the brand continues to be the leading Japanese ingredient brand in 16 countries across Europe and the Middle East.
It is these many years of experience in dealing with the finest quality Japanese food ingredients that goes into the development of every Yutaka product – demonstrating the Japanese meaning of Yutaka being “Good Harvest”.
The Yutaka sushi rice is an amazing (sugoi). Along with Nippon Inn’s rice it is the best rice I have ever tasted. Yutaka rice is oishii desu (delicious). I don’t eat raw fish but like the sushi rice.
Sushi is vinegared rice. Interested in Japan and they do the best rice. I have the Yutaka rice with noodles, orieintal vegetables and put miso in it. Miso is another Yutaka product and is also oishii desu.
Easily the best sushi rice I have tried. You can get cheaper but they are usually inferior. If you are going to go the bother of making sushi you want the rice to be perfect. Just follow the instructions on the pack and yours will be.
Nishiki rice is a staple in in my kitchen. I think it is the best middle-of-the-road Japanese-American style white rice, slightly sticky, will work for sushi rolls in a pinch. Cooks fast, and does nicely stove-top or rice-maker.
My husband figured out a way to cook it stove-top which makes it come out deliciously crispy along the edges. I’ve ordered it from Walmart several times, and it always arrives in perfect condition. Note that the bag is not waterproof, to allow the rice to breathe, so don’t make the same mistake I did and try to “wash down” the packaging! Now I just pour it into large jars for storage (the 5 pound bag takes slightly less than two half-gallon mason jars).
I totally love sushi but hate the price and going to get it. So I bought a really cool kit from Amazon and this rice from the Saigon Market. This rice rocks. It perfect for the sushi rolls and quite sticky.
If you are into sushi making at home, this is the best rice to use.
I like this type of medium grain Japonica rice, it has a place in many types of culinary styles. This particular brand isn’t the absolute ideal for making sushi, it’s sticky but not quite as glutinous as legit Japanese sushi rice, I made some tuna onigiri and they barely held together.
It works well for rice pudding and risotto, but I would really consider this my B-team of rice. Much prefer Thai jasmine, but it’s not always suitable for all purposes. Not much flavor in this Nishiki rice, I guess it’s better than American long grain if I had a choice but it’s good to have a bag in a cupboard somewhere.
This cool, sharp condiment is made from tender young ginger roots. Freshly picked ginger is marinated in seasoned vinegar to give it a delightfully pungent taste. Serve the crisp slivers of ginger chilled.
Place a small mound on a plate of sushi or sashimi. Eat a little at a time between different varieties of sushi and at the end of the meal to cleanse the palate.
I love Gari and this fills the spot. Not being a native of Japan, I cannot compare it to the real thing, but based on my US sushi restaurant experiences, this is as good as I have had. It does have a slight bite which lingers and I just love that.
This is quality. This is absolutely delicious. I use it with pork chops, beef tips, and with hummus on cracker, among other things. I have never found a better brand, and I cannot be satisfied with less, now.
Please don’t stop carrying this, since it is so very expensive elsewhere. Thanks. Walmart, for getting the best product available.
This is the BEST pickled ginger on the market. I have tried many others. and my opinion of THEM is “Yuck”. It is not easy to find Sushi Chef on the shelves, since it gets snapped up, so finding it at a very reasonable price at Jet was a wonderful surprise.
Thank you guys. (don’t even BOTHER offering the other less tasty, over-salted, more-bitter brands!!).
DIY set for making Sushi candy, with candy rice, egg, tuna, salmon roe and seaweed, flavour: grape & soda. Popin’ cookin’ is a series of edible DIY candy in funny shapes, that you can easily make yourself by adding water to the ingredients of the package.
These diy candy makers from japan are so adorable and delicious!! They are very fun to make and easy to make. They are also not messy! So its fun and easy and basically mess free! What i love about this one is that you basically make tiny boba to go on your candy sushi and its very delicious!.
This was my first time making a candy kit! I used instructions that I found online but the whole process was really fun and easy! Definitely worth the purchase even if you aren’t big on the flavor of the candy.
Make sure you don’t rip the package so you can use the measurements!.
If you’ve always wanted to have a go at making your own sushi rolls, an essential ingredient is the seaweed wrap that encloses the rice and fillings. Crisp, savoury and rich with umami flavour, the Sushi Nori Roasted Seaweed sheets in this pack are pre-cut and ready to use.
Roll with it So easy to use, just a place sheet of nori onto a bamboo rolling mat, then spread your cooked rice in a thin layer over the nori, leaving a space at the top and bottom for sealing. Add your fillings along the middle of the rice and begin rolling the nori carefully around the rice and filling, using the mat to help keep the shape.
Once rolled, cut evenly and serve – traditionally with soy sauce, wasabi paste and pickled ginger. Not just for sushi rolls, nori also makes a great topping for salads or can be used in noodle soup to add extra flavour and texture.
What’s so good about seaweed? Although it’s recently become trendy and gained superfood status, seaweed has been used in cuisine all over the world for thousands of years, especially in Asian diets. Packed with nutrients, this natural flavour enhancer can also be dried and crushed then sprinkled over salads, into soups and added to stir-fries.
About Yutaka Yutaka, which means ‘good harvest’, is a branch of Tazaki Foods Ltd, which has been supplying Japanese restaurants in the UK with authentic oriental ingredients for over 30 years. The growing range now includes ingredients for sushi, sauces, soups, rice, noodles and “easy-to-use” meal kits.
It was easy to roll , but very hard and tough to cut through when it is first rolled. I would advise leaving to stand before attempting to cut and eat or it is very chewy and leaves a strange texture in your mouth.

This sushi is very tasty. My daughter and I can’t keep it in stock. She loves splitting the pack up and taking it to school for lunch. Comes with 2 soy sauce packets and 1 wasabi packet. I was hesitant at first to buy the frozen instead of fresh, but after a quick thaw, it tastes just like the fresh sushi.
Can’t even tell it was frozen. Definitely keeping a couple in the freezer as much as possible.
I absolutely LOVE this brand’s sushi, specifically the Philadelphia roll. I eat it every day for lunch! I’ve read that some people find the rice to be dry, but I’ve never encountered this issue and I’ve been eating it for months.
In fact, the texture is a major plus on this brand for me. The flavor is some of the best I’ve found from packaged sushi. Plus, at the price it’s offered, you just can’t beat the value. It comes frozen, so it’s going to last you, too.
All you have to do is defrost the number of pieces you want and bam, instant yum. I usually put mine into a plastic bag and submerse it in warm water; it takes maybe 20 minutes to defrost that way, so I can defrost my lunch for tomorrow while I’m doing the dishes tonight.
You just can’t beat this stuff. My only complaint is that my freezer can’t hold enough of it! I’ve recently found out that Walmart might cease carrying this sushi, and I’m quite upset. If anyone knows where else to buy it, PLEASE leave a review and let us know! I need my Banzai Phily!.

The sushi rolls at my local Sam’s club are made by someone who has not yet fully mastered the technique. The fillings are not even from roll to roll, and the pieces are very obviously cut to different sizes.
The rice texture is not consistent, and frequently falls away when the piece of sushi is disturbed. The larger platters should receive more soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. It is totaling baffling that the largest tray configuration has the very same amount of these as a single roll.
It was surprising to me that Sam’s Club sold sushi as I am not generally a fan of premade sushi. However, I needed some sushi quickly to take to a picnic and picked up this combo party platter. Was I ever surprised! The flavor was wonderful and it was very fresh.
It’s made throughout the day in the club. I will definitely order this for curbside pick up again and again.
