20 Best Cheap Stylus For Ipad (2023 Updated)

After 5 years of constant daily use i finally needed to replace the tips of the 2 Meko pens i bought. So i bought 2 new pens with 4 extra tips. | noticed Meko has improved the quality of the rubber sleeve on the new pens.

Kudos for that as it just bothered me a little that the old sleeves would move around while doing graphics. Thinking about buying a few more sets of pens as christmas gifts for my wife, brother, and a good friend.

This is excellent stylus. Has a good weight and feel in the hand. The finish of the metal is top notch. The mesh nub is smooth and silky on a screen. We have not used the fine line disk yet. The design is clever as both tips can be stored in covered position.

I am Very pleased with this and recommend it.

Amazing stylus. Solid and well-built, works great with my screen, pretty much everything I could have wanted in a capacitive style stylus. Obviously its not the Apple Pencil, but since I dont have $200 to shell out on something I might lose in five minutes, this is great.

Its also super ergonomic and very beautiful to look at.

I love this Stylus it is so versatile! I use the round mesh side for everyday use & the pin at work to edit & sign documents for work on my phone. I don’t have to lug my laptop with me or find a work station.

This stylus feels as natural as writing with a pen or pencil. I wish the grip were a lil further down but I can’t complain – my technic to writing might make me the odd woman out. I misplaced my original stylus I was gifted for my birthday a few days ago.

Pen makes it very easy to keep my tablet clean and take notes. Accuracy is decent for the price, but don’t expect to do any fine detail work with this pen.

The Targus stylus worked ok. I liked the sleek design, and I thought that it fit in my hand nicely. I did need to press pretty firmly to get my screen to register being touched. Generally, my tablet and phone register even super light touches, but that was not the case with this.

I’ve been writing this review with it. Unfortunately, I keep having to go back to fix errors, because taps on the keyboard aren’t registering. It does have a clip on it so I was able to attach it to the loop on my tablet case which was nice.

Adobe Ink and Slide is an exelent product to use for draw on Ipad. There is a pen with pressure sensor for true feel of draw like a real pencil, or brush, press harder, line wider. There is a digital Slide for easily draw not just lines, but circles, triangles, squares, men and woman shapes etc.

You can change between shapes by the button on top side of the Slide, very comfortable. The charger of the digital pen is indicate that the battery is charged fully with alternation in different colours.

The Adobe ink stylus needs charging before each use. To charge it is a hassle and temperamental, you have to place it inside the end cap but sometimes you have to rotate it within the case to encourage it to charge.

Once charged which takes about an hour, if then stored, within two days of it sitting around and not used the battery is flat. In actually using the stylus the battery lasts about two hours. That is if you can actually use it as it skips and stops mid drawing and the lag on some compatible apps means the tip and where you want the line for example isn’t where it ends up.

There is also an offset or parallax effect which leads to the line on the screen appearing a cm in front or above/below where the tip is on the screen. The stylus is well made but the battery life and unresponsiveness means I won’t be using it as much as I’d hoped.

As long as you have compatible apps or knows how to tweak brush/stylus settings (in Procreate for example), this is an awesome pressure sensitive stylus for sketching and painting. Maybe it’s not for ultra-precise and complex line work, but it’s good enough for regular use (like cartoon characters).

Plus the rainbow LCD is just beautiful. Very satisfied.

I brought 2 of them a black one and sliver one n the black one still works great n the sliver one just quit working after a while n it says its charged but will not work at all n I like how it works on both kinds of devices iOS n androids that’s so cool n I’m thinking about getting another bc the one I got for my iPad Pro it won’t work on my iPhone 8plus bc the otter box screen protector is too thick for it ugh but thanks I will recommend it to everyone get the protection plan it could come in handy.

I loved the pen it works very well with my iPhone SX Max I just wish it would come with something to hold and carry the little top with you during charging and on the go I’m always afraid to lose the little cap.

The pencil arrived great, the packaging was new and original as described. However, when I attempted to use it, the pencil would not connect to my ipad. I thought it was a problem with my ipad so I tried to connect the pencil to someone else’s and it still wouldn’t work so I knew it was a problem with the pencil itself.

I contacted Apple Tech support over the phone and although we troubleshooted we were not able to solve the issue. So, I scheduled an appointment to go to the Apple store and visit the Genius Bar. The technicians there told me that the battery was defective as the pencil would not hold battery, making it unable to connect to any ipad.

They said the parts were too small to fix, so Apple does not fix pencils. I had to pay an additional $30, almost double of what I originally thought I would spend on the pencil to receive a replacement pencil from Apple.

Personally, I have no product with the rounded shape that some people complain about. The charging CAN be clunky if you charge it off the iPad itself, but I have always used the lightning female-to-female adapter as it’s faster and it means I can still use the iPad itself.

It’s light, comfortable to hold (to me), easy to use and, in my estimation, has no competition aside from the Surface Pen. This is just not any old iPad stylus – this is the first stylus I’ve ever been able to naturally write and draw with on a tablet.

The are only two drawbacks I’ve found. I received my apple pencil in just a couple of days, which was a pleasant surprise. I used it most of last evening. I had been using a cheap knockoff pencil, but I decided to get a real Apple pencil due to the fact that the other pencil had no pressure sensitivity.

Some reviewers said it was all the same. The differences may seem subtle but if you use the pencil for drawing, it is like night and day. Like all Apple products this pencil screams quality!!! This pencil was an open box product and looks and feels brand new.

I bought these months ago and really like the way they work so well with my phone and tablet. Also write nice too. It’s really hard to find stylus pens where I live. Cant even get in Walmart b4 they are out of stock! These are also great stocking suffers or in a gift bag w-goodies.

I bought these thinking they are different color, corresponding to the color of each pen. They’re not colored, just plain ink. They write ok.

Cant find these ready available locally. Took a chance ordered online and they arrived very fast.. They are very comfortable to hold-works perfect for my new handheld computer at work…

I couldn’t find a purple stylus so I ordered this one online. I have had it for about 3 years now and it is still just like new even though I use it every day. The paint has not worn off and the black tip is like new.

Using a stylus keeps my tablet smudge-free and I think it works better than a finger. I didn’t expect I would even use the little cord but it is indispensable — it’s a great way to keep the stylus with my tablet by just plugging it into the headset jack.

Lost the Insten Stylus pen I had been using for several years and needed a replacement. Prior pen held up to use very well so I wanted a replacement the same as the old lost pen. It has been working perfectly for me.

This worked just how I thought it would. I didn’t want to spend too much for my preschooler to have a pen for the pad and then to possibly lose it.

These stylus pens are holding up better than expected. Been using the same one for several weeks and it’s still getting the job done. It will be a lifetime before I spend $5-10 on a simple capacitor pen.

They arrived via the Post Office within the promised time frame and the free shipping was a nice touch. These pens are a bit shorter (1/4″) than the costly ones but fit the hand just fine. Be aware that the rubber tip is smaller also and you must be careful not to let the metal collar hit the screen.

After some use you quickly adapt and it becomes a non issue. I’m typing with one now and I’m very happy I made this purchase.

I only use them when playing games but they are perfect for that use, lightweight. I wish perhaps they didn’t have the clip on them as it rubs when using; perhaps a rubber grip near the stylus end would be better.

For the price, they are great. Love the colors.

They do the job sufficiently. I don’t want to use my fingers anymore. Only thing I might have liked is if some of the sticks had different sized tips, for close work, for instance..

These are the best I have had for I Phone. The ballpoint is very good, and the stylus cap is great. Works well with my phone. The slender size fits my shirt pocket pen slot beside a small penlight I carry.

Quality product for a cheap price.

If you’re looking for a finer tipped stylus, this is not it. These are just fragile pens with the crappy rubber tip on the back. Also, about half aren’t even pens, there is no ink tip in most of them, not sure if they accidentally left them in, or accidentally forgot to put them in, either way, some of them write and some do not, and that end is not the stylus.

I loved the array of colors; they make me feel happy. I also like the fact that these styluses are slender and easy to pack and take with, not to mention easy to use. And they are also ball point pens, so I never have to have something to write with.

I was looking for a lightweight stylus pen with a soft, yet firm, tip. My past pens have very soft tips that leave typing difficult. This is that stylus pen! The touch point anti scratch tip allows me to type with accuracy.

There are no fingerprints anymore on screen I thoroughly recommend this set of stylus pens.

The size is nice, slim like I expected. The stylus part is great! The pen part doesn’t work the greatest. On one pen the pen part already is unusable due to it won’t twist out.

All black ink which was what I wanted. My only complaint is that the ink runs out fast if you use it everyday (about 2 weeks each) and if you press too hard on the paper the pen will go backwards and get stuck.

Work GREAT! Old Galaxy Note 3 died, decided to try $160 A03s. With A03s, this stylus is much nicer than drawing with your finger. Best part was trying googles GBoard, which does handwriting recognition for multiple languages (I just use English).

It was actually *way* better than using S-Pen. Will be trying some fine point styluses later, but will always keep a few of these around for everyday use.

I can only give this an average review and perhaps it may be because I am new to using a stylus. My intention was to make texting and using my iPad mini easier – especially texting on my iPhone 5C which has a very small keypad.

I found that it is awkward to me, so I don’t really want to use the stylus as it makes texting or emailing not easier, but more difficult and slower, especially establishing the correct pressure with the stylus.

I’m sure there is a learning curve to using a stylus, so perhaps I’m not giving it a fair chance. Also, I somewhat like the idea of a cord to attach to your phone or iPad keeping it handy, though I would like a longer cord to keep it attached while using as well.

The cost for the “bundle” was great – I just doubt if I’m a stylus-user fan after this purchase.

I recently purchased my first smart phone, an iPhone se; and found that using the keyboard without making mistakes was next to impossible. I couldn’t find a stylus in the stores locally that suited me.

These styluses work fine, they attach to the phone via the earbud port, are metal with rubber tips, and should last a long time. The price is hard to beat, too. However, I assumed the lanyards that attach them to the phone would be elastic or stretchy.

They are not. They have to be removed from the phone before they can be used. Still searching for the perfect mini stylus.

Have these for Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, they are amazing, no other stylus comes close. The Wacom Bamboo Solo Stylus is in a class of its own, worth every penny and better still, replacement nibs are readily available on ebay.

Why buy an inferior product when you can buy a Wacom stylus.

This was a very good buy! Not just because they are Wacom Bamboo, but because the cost of each pen was cheaper than the cost of a 5mm replacement stylus for the C140/150. I spoke directly with Wacom who wanted 50 to ship an order for 18 stylus replacements.

Anyone who can produce 5mm tips could make a fortune – just check the prices on Amazon. The other good thing is that the C100 uses a 6mm stylus which are available without massive cost!.

My fingers are naturally oily which interfered with read the screen after intense use. Using the stylis is a real game changer resulting in my experience using the iPad to become a 10 as opposed to a -1 before.

When I say “good quality” that is a difficult thing. They work very well but do not feel like a quality tool in the way they are built. The materials are thin. I consider them an expendable item though as they do work for using my iPad and tablet and cheap enough I can lose several and just replace them.

They fit in my IPad pencil slot very well. To say they are lightweight would be an understatement.

Great value for the money. Sturdy & well made. The bonus is the small hole on the top of the stylus, so you can attach a lanyard. No more misplaced stylus.

The package came quickly in the mail but one set of 10 came as expected in a resealable plastic container. The other did not. The diameter of the second set seemed slightly less than the first set. I have been purchasing this set of 10 for a while so I was expecting a certain width in the stylus.

I also realize they do wear out so I go back to what I like. I would purchase the set in the resealing plastic container. I hesitate to say the same about the second set.

I saw this product advertised online several times before I decided to try them. I had another set of styluses but not colors. I found the thicker pens much more comfortable in my hand. The hole in the end help keep it attached to me.

An excellent deal! Product is nice and heavy and comes in a box set complete with replacement disks and a microfiber cleaning cloth. The disk glides across the screen and works well on my Surface. The eraser on the end is soft and precise.

Not as slim or compact as an Apple Pencil or Surface Pen, but still worth your money. Had this for a few months and have not encountered any problems. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to save money.

Not at all what I was expecting, well design wise anyway. It’s a small disc at the tip of the pen that glides across the screen. It is very fine and works great! I have been drawing with it for quite some time and am blown away.

It takes a bit of getting used to because the disc is a bit odd. Only gets picked up in the center of the disc and great for a phone or touchscreen device. I use my for drawing and texting because it glides across the screen with ease.

Construction is good, it has some weight to it for a stylus (even more that most pens) and is very comfortable. I forgot I was using a stylus not a pen. It is a large click and I wish the tips where easier to find to replace.

Plan on getting a spare soon!.

The design is definitely not what I was expecting. The disk can be misleading. It is actually an impeccably precise stylus. I needed these to capture signatures on the ipad for business purposes and they work magnificently, and you definitely cant beat the price! I also contacted their customer service for an issue with one of the items and they responded promptly and took care of everything.

This is an awesome pen. Very responsive in fact I was very surprised when I first used it. I have used other pens but this one is the best of all of them the only issue is theres some parallax to it ( the distance where the pen tip is from the actual brush on the screen) however all of these pens have it and some have more than others.

This pen is very accurate though and I do recommend buying it.

Just what I’ve been looking for! I really like the protective cap. I’ve ruined several other styluses carrying them in my pocket with other things. I like the short length to, fit in my pocket better.

I received three pens for a good price. I’ve been using one consistently for about 1 month, and I can tell that it is starting to lose its thread when pressed against the ipad screen–fortunately, I have two more to use; unfortunately, it looks like I’m going at a rate of one per month which isn’t that great.

I guess I’ll have a better feel for how long these stylus last after about three months of use; therefore, I’ll leave my review at three stars until I’ve been using them longer.

The bamboo stylus is the fifth stylus I have tried and I wish it had been the first. Best stylus I have found. It glides aver the screen with ease? I use it for my iPhone and iPad. It works great with the drawing and game apps.

I paid more for a stylus at a speciality store and it was the worst. I will stick with the bamboo. The only reason i didn’t give it a five star is I would like a smaller tip.

Summary: For what it is, it works great. I have been using the stylus for a couple weeks with an iPad Pro. Now to be fair, it is NOT a bluetooth Pencil–it does not have any of the additional functionality that is specific to a bluetooth Pencil.

So expecting the iPad Pro to behave as if it was would be unfair. That said, for what it does it fits in well. It has a nice solid feel in your hand. The iPad Pro’s magnets it has on the side to hold (if not secure) the stylus.

The iPad Pro case I use has a slot against the magnets to hold the bluetooth Pencil and it fits perfectly in that slot. That’s really handy. In your hand, it feels like a drafting instrument and I really like that feel.

It does not have a clip at the top to be secured in a pocket, but I think that would just get in the way of it being held against the iPad. So that’s a positive for me. It does have a hole drilled at the end without the style so you could put a lanyard on it if you wanted to.

The stylus tip itself is soft, compresses when pressed down and I have no problems using it. However I have seen it happen where those kinds of tips, when used constantly under heavy pressure can start to crack.

Though to be fair I haven’t used it for long enough to get a sense of if that would happen here. Additionally, on the iPad, there’s no need to press that hard anyway. Overall I have been very happy with the stylus and find it works great with the iPad Pro as a substitute for your finger.

For example, I had a situation where my right index finger was bandaged for a week, and the stylus worked fantastic.

My daughter loves to draw on her iPad so im trying to find a good stylus for her to have with her thst wont break the bank. This type of stylus works for most devices now. We like the size and it fits good for drawing or writing for her hand.

It is magnetic both all her devices have plastic or leather cases so we can’t use the magnetic part without a different case, you can just add a strap to the end though. The only thing we really don’t like about this is the soft tip.

She’s afraid if she keeps it in her bag or drops it the tip will come off. Other then that it has worked so far and glids smoothly for her drawing apps. Will see if this lasts longer then pervious similar type stylus.

I got this stylus to work on some coloring and designs apps. It’s the perfect size and glides across my screen fantastic with no issues. It works smoothly with no “bumps” like I’ve had issues with in the past with other brands.

I like that it’s larger height than many so it’s easier to hold. The only thing I wish was different is the magnetic hold. I keep a case on my tablet and phone and with the cases on it doesn’t hold, but taking the cases off it stays perfectly.

But I won’t keep them off just to hold the stylus. If it would stick through the case I would give this 5 stars. Being it doesn’t i only give it 4.

Great, for a basic, universal, cheap & easy-to-use stylus. Not for art. Worked instantly w/ phone (Galaxy Note20 Ultra) & laptop (HP Spectre). No pairing neccisary. The shape took me by surprise – I thought it would look like a pen, but there’s no pointed tip, so it’s flat on both ends.

This design turns out to be great tho, especially for my style phone/laptop, b/c of the squishy, soft nib (end you write with looks/feels like a plastic eraser). It seems to prevent sticky fingerprints and scratches, & feels safer overall on surfaces than a pen-shaped “nib” would.

This slim stylus is so great and let me tell you why! I have so many of them at home in every room, my purse, my vehicle and in every tote bag. First, the Pandemic is a great reason to pick these up.

Second, Your cell phone is one of the most germ infected items you use, so even if you have a Phone Soap device or other ways to keep your phone screen clean, it’s not good enough. Just look at your screen throughout your day and you will see what I mean.

Even without the Pandemic – cell phones are “germ gatherers” so change a habit and use a slim stylus like this one. And by the way, for older relatives with dexterity issues, they are great! Buy them for yourself or buy them for gifts.

A really good, but somewhat lacking for a perfect score stylus. It is useful for what it does well (swipe a tablet or phablet when not wanting to use your hand). It does not have the precise control of many other more narrow ended available stylus (and this is my biggest gripe with most of them — they could just include both types of ends).

For the price though — it does the job well.
