Upon first application it has a pleasant sweet vanilla smell with just a touch of light floral scent like honeysuckle or jasmine. Right after you spray it, it does smell a little trashy and boozy, in that the alcohol scent is still there.

I don’t really get any of the coffee or darker scents until a few hours later when it really starts mixing with the chemistry of my skin. The final scent is a sweet vanilla late with a hint of musk and spice.

This is definitely a perfume that needs to age on the skin a little bit, so don’t judge it until it’s had ample time to mingle with your oils. I will say, the coffee scent is way more subtle than I thought it was going to be and so is the more masculine musky smell that some people have been talking about.

Nevertheless, I think this is a safe buy for most people who like gourmands. I love it! My boyfriend loves it too 😉 Haven’t worn it out in public yet but I’m sure when I do I’ll probably get complimented on it like a lot of other people have been mentioning.

Also I think the longevity and potency is perfect for my purposes. I only do a tiny, tiny spritz on my wrists, a tiny spritz on my neck, and finally I spritz and walk through the mist. You don’t need much.

Theres nothing worse in my opinion than a perfume that smacks everybody in the face when they walk into a room. Don’t overdo it.

This is the first perfume that ever made me understand what “intoxicating” truly meant. I went into a Sephora back when this launched and spritzed my pulse points with this hot new fragrance. At the time, I didn’t think anything of it, the first impressions weren’t anything that blew me away.

It wasn’t until I went home and took a nap that it hit me. I don’t know how but I ended up with my wrists near my face while sleeping and I genuinely woke up from my sleep because there was something that smelled so deliciously alluring that I had to know what it was.

I was groggy from sleep, but as soon as my little brain worked out that the intoxicatingly sexy scent was the perfume I had spritzed on myself earlier at Sephora, I ran out the door and back to the mall in one of those dramatic as hell moments where I pretend my life is a movie.

I bought the hell out of Black Opium and have kept it in my fragrance rotation ever since. It is one of my most complimented fragrances. I have genuinely had two different men in two different STATES (one in WA one in TN) stop me in Whole Foods of all places lol and ask what I’m wearing.

I know by now the secret is out and it’s not a hidden gem like it use dry to be, but there’s no denying that it’s a gem nonetheless.

This is confidence in a bottle. There’s a reason it’s so popular. I feel like everyone either loves it or hates it but god, I am in love with this scent. It’s warm and spicy with notes of boozy vanilla, jasmine, and coffee.

This will make you feel confident, sexy, and like you can take on the whole world. This is the perfect scent to wear out at night and will make you feel so alluring and powerful. Yes, I know a lot of girls tend to use this scent to go out but I feel like that speaks for itself! I also just love wearing this out on fall/winter nights in general.

The packaging is stunning. This perfume lasts hours on me. Because there’s such a sharp divide in people who love this and hate this scent, I’d definitely recommend sampling it first, but if you’re considering buying it please please do it.

I was kindly sent this perfume for being part of the Lancôme community. Lancôme has launched a new version of the iconic La Vie Est Belle perfume in a refillable bottle, as well as 100ml refills. La Vie Est Belle is Lancôme’s best selling feminine perfume inspired by the French Philosophy of life and happiness or universal declaration to the beauty of life.

It is a floral fragrance comprised of the following notes: Transversal: Iris & Fine Delicacies Accord Top: Pear & Blackberry Heart: Pallida Iris Concrete, Orange Blossom & Jasmine Sambac Absolutes Base: Patchouli Essence The Transversal notes of First Tasty Iris have been exclusively created for Lancôme by three of France’s leading perfumers.

Upon first spritz the sweet Blackberry notes are the most noticeable to me. Just moments later it turns into a warmer floral, and finally settles on the skin as a slightly woody and powdery note. Sweet and floral scents are my favourite type of perfumes so I am enjoying La Vie Est Belle, especially the top and heart notes, and although powdery fragrances are not usually my first choice, the base note is quickly growing on me.

La Vie Est Belle is quite long lasting, with only a couple of sprays needed for the scent to be perceivable on the skin after several hours of wear. Initially I believed the fragrance to be for a more mature woman because of Julia Roberts being in the adverts, however because of the variety of notes I believe it will appeal to a wide age range of women as it is a sophisticated but playful scent.

This is an an eau du PARFUM with a blend of quality ingredients in just the right selection and measure. It does not have a strong throw, meaning, it isn’t going to announce you as you enter a room. Rather, the you carry it but with the added confidence and warmth it inspires.

It is long-wearing when worn on the right areas of the skin. Also, it has a graceful dry-down, that maintains its integrity but established itself as a gentle, complimentary extension of the wearer. If you want to feel feminine, calm, confident and alluring, and with a scent you can wear in any occasion, this is for you.

While the top note is iris, the bottom notes of spun sugar and (quality) warm vanilla help this to be complimentary in all seasons. The blend is perfect, along with patchouli, of which, I personally am not usually a fan, however, the blend makes this forever en trend.

Don’t worry about smelling like it’s other fans; since it has quality ingredients that last, on the skin, it bends a bit to the wearer, so it will be a little different on different wearer when applied directly to pulse points.

It is a good investment even to a collection of the best perfumes and will continue to hold its own, and remain a beautiful experience. It is a nice layering perfume, as well.

The Good: I’ve owned this perfume many times since its original release in 2007 but I mysteriously stopped repurchasing it. When I initially spray this on the skin I get notes of mixed floral, a stronger citrus and a touch of alcohol-which I genuinely enjoy.

But this perfume really shines after it dries and mixes with my chemistry I get a wonderful, luxurious, full-bodied violet scent. It transports me to drinking wine by the countryside in a wonderfully kept garden filled with luscious violet field.

Truly and classically, a sexy floral scent. I went on a perfume challenge recently and re-discovered why I liked this perfume so much back in the day, which is always a nice stroll down memory lane. The bottle is also quite gorgeous and eye-catching on a vanity, so if you’re a sucker for beautiful bottles with gorgeous scents this is a classic.

The Bad: As much as I love the scent I’m incredibly disappointed by it’s lasting power. As most perfumes almost “fade out” from the skin into a fainter version of themselves, this mysteriously disappears.

Every time I use this I had to re-apply within a couple of hours and then re-apply again. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a eau de toilette opposed to a eau de parfum or if it’s something with my skin chemistry but this literally disappears without a trace.

it’s the strangest thing. I like a perfume that lasts at least 6 hours so I really feel like the lack of lasting power takes away from how awesome this scent is. The Ugly/Honest: As stated, the staying power needs massive work.

For a brand like Marc Jacobs, I really expect more intensity in their fragrances. I owned some of the other fragrances and don’t recall any of them disappearing off my skin like this one does. Since this is the OG, I think that’s a bit backwards and disappointing.

The scent overall gets 4 stars but I had to knock off a star for the poor lasting power.

When Marc Jacobs Daisy came out in 2007 it was MY fragrance obsession to end all fragrance obsessions. I (over)showered myself in the stuff daily. Went through multiple bottles a year…. for years. till, as happens with too much of anything sometimes, I hit a wall with it and our love affair ended.

Apart from a few sniffs at Sephora here and there, our flame has not truly been rekindled since. I have been going through somewhat of fragrance memory journey and picked this up (rollerball) on a whim with a Christmas giftcard.

As soon as I sprayed it…. I was immediately transported back to over a decade ago. I was in my early 20s then and I really do find this to be a very youthful, bright, sunny, bubbly, happy, borderline-fresh floral fragrance.

It is sweet but not in a gourmand way at all, in an…. almost honey-like way if that makes sense. I love violet and while I do smell it in MC Daisy, I wish the violet note was a bit more pronounced; that being said, I still really appreciate its presence all the same.

I do get a lot of other white floral notes though they are not super defined. I definitely pick up on the juicy strawberry note, and come to think of it, I think “juicy” is another perfect descriptive word for this perfume as well.

I personally have a harder time picking up on any of the base notes (musk, woods, vanilla) and find this one to keep pretty consistent and therefore rather linear throughout its wear and it just never really gains much depth.

Longevity is average and silage is as well. I think a large part of why I love this is, yes, for the nostalgia and memories it evokes, but it is also just a really nice, inoffensive, “safe” fragrance.

The title says it all! This scent is so different, I can barely believe it is now available as part of the signature line as opposed to the more pricey private blend collection. If I had to put imagery to it, it makes me feel like I’m tanning while sitting on a tiny little desert-like moon in outer space with my feet dangling into infinity with a spicy, fruity, tart, at the same time sweet cocktail in hand; bright green shooting stars wizzing past me.

🌘 It has an abundance of notes, with the top notes including: Truffle, Gardenia, Black Currant, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Amalfi Lemon The middle notes including: Orchid, Spices, Gardenia, Fruity Notes, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Lotus And the base notes including: Mexican Chocolate, Patchouli, Vanille, Incense, Amber, Sandalwood, Vetiver, White Musk It is expertly blended and incredible to me, that the abundance of different notes does not make it “too busy” at all! It makes the scent interesting, intriguing, multifaceted and incomparable to my nose.

It opens up quite spicy, incensy, a bit peppery with the black currant, spices and truffle apparent. Once it settles, the floral notes start dancing, such as the Orchid, Gardenia and Ylang Ylang. After a few hours, I find it becomes a bit warmer and softer, maybe rounder.

The spiciness dissipates and the Chocolate, Vanilla and Amber linger. I detect a very soft, barely there musk; not your regular “stinging” musk. I find projection/sillage and longevity to be outstanding! It lasts easily 8 to 9 hours on me and even then, I can still detect it as a skin scent.

I’d say due to its polarizing effect and uniqueness, this is rather an evening and fall scent, but… I enjoy the opening, the midway through and how it settles so much that I wear it all year around. I simply use it more sparingly during the daytime and in summer.

First off, this is not a conventional, your usually floral female scent, it is complex, mature, and I would not recommend anyone under 25 to try pull this off, and I say this with experience, because when I was 22, i smelled all the TF perfumes and I HATED those smells, I gagged at the smells and didn’t understand why ppl would want to smell like that; but now I’m 29, and I revisited TF and found myself love almost every scent from TF; So with that in mind, if u r used to the classic floral, and you are young, u will probably find this offensive.

But if you have aged into a mature stage of your life, and want to find a strong, impressive, unique signature, then this is for you. I would say almost all of TF parfum products are heavy and bold, meant for uniqueness and when you want to standout and smell different from the usual feminine floral scent.

I smelled all the popular perfumes out there, and I find myself not satisfied with anything the current female parfum market has to offer, literally every female perfume smells the same to me, until I stumbled upon TF farfum.

The dry down reminds me of my childhood Chinese snack, a type of dried sweet salty plum (话梅), and also has a layer of fruity almost citrus scent as well, and still has the feminine floral scent but not boring, they mingle so well that I kept on smelling it throughout the day it’s almost addictive.

Overall, if you are into traditional feminine scents then TF is not for you; if you are trying out new things and on the hunt for uniqueness, explore new scents, then TF is for you.

Tom Ford, you brilliant beast!!! Black Orchid has been a favorite of mine for years now. It is very much a sophisticated, tangled, mysterious web of fragrances that mesh in the most cohesive manner possible.

Tom Ford’s Black Orchid is also a STELLAR example of a truly unisex fragrance. Which, to my advantage, has proven to be rather unfavorable among the “Basic Beckys” “Boring Bobbys,” who opt to douse their bodies in Axe body spray or faux-fruit scented body mist, either as result of a stringently cookie-cutter upbringing or due to the unfortunate, albeit quite common, condition of having no actual sense of self/individuality to speak of.

In my opinion, the most important (and quite rare) trait of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid fragrance is that it has afforded me the ability to distinguish between “Boring Bobbys” “Basic Betty’s” without losing precious moments of my existence, which I would otherwise never be able to recover, via the obligatory (and often PAINFULLY awkward), inaugural chit-chat/small-talk convo w/a potential love/lust interest in the interest of ascertaining the aforementioned “Basic Becky”/”Boring Bobby” personality status vs.

a truly unique, interesting human being who I may actually want to pursue. Black Orchid has, thus far, come through for me with a flawless track record of making that separation crystal clear without a word being spoken.

I’ve been trying to find a new signature scent for a while now, and have had several fails and false starts. I’m approaching 32 and my past favorites were feeling a bit too young and sweet for my taste now.

In the past I’ve loved YSL Mon Paris, Versace Bright Crystal, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, Burberry Brit, Nest Indigo, Replica Jazz Club, JM Sea Salt & Sage, etc. I always lean towards the fresher & spicier side of things and can’t do things that are too floral or sweet.

One struggle I have with certain scents I love otherwise (JM Sea Salt & Sage, Nest Indigo, Replica (any of their fragrances)) is that they don’t have enough staying power. As someone else mentioned in the reviews I just can’t justify spending $100+ for something that I can’t even smell after 2-3 hours, and that’s definitely not something you want with a signature scent.

Luckily for me I finally caved and bought this on a somewhat blind buy whim. I tried it in the store several years ago when it came out, and remember not being totally taken with it, but figured I would give it another shot.

I’m SO glad I did. It’s the perfect mix of sweetness, spice & a hint of floral. It evokes BBE and gives you the sense of feeling put together, even if you’re just wearing sweats, but isn’t too overwhelming.

Warm enough to be appropriate for night and fall/winter, but with enough cologne type freshness for spring/summer and daytime wear this is exactly what I was looking for in terms of flexibility with a new signature scent.

I was worried that with this being such a popular scent I would blend in with the crowd of people wearing it, but it truly works with your unique body chemistry in such a way that the dry down smells different on each person who wears it.

Recommend for 25+ as it is a bit more mature. The one note I would make is be cautious of over-spraying at first if you’re used to working with lighter scents (totally my mistake upon breaking it out).

If you’re on the fence take the plunge!.

YSL knew what they were doing when they created this line. I already own and love the original Libre, I also have Libre Intense which smells amazing in its own right, and recently added Libre EDT which was a blind buy.

It smells just as amazing, if not better. It’s definitely recognizable as Libre but is much softer and has a definite powdery note to it which I actually really like. Powdery fragrances can often read “old lady” but this doesn’t at all.

It still has the bright floral and sparkling citrus and that earthy lavender grounding it but this is much softer than the original EDP or the Intense. If I had to liken it to anything I would say Valentino Voce Viva could be a distant cousin or former roommate of this scent.

It’s clean, great for daytime, inoffensive, but also unique enough to not just fade into the background. The staying power isn’t quite as stellar as the EDP but does give decent mileage in that I can still smell traces of it at the end of the day.

Where the Intense has the warmer and slightly more masculine vibe to it, this is on the opposite end being so feminine and pretty without being super young or too sweet. The whole line is so well blended and definitely is an instant classic.

This was one of the first bottles I bought when I first got into the world of mens fragrances almost 4 years ago, and I still really enjoy wearing it. To me it opens light, fresh, and semisweet with prominent florals, a bit of spice, and though its not listed as a note, apple.

It keeps that same general vibe throughout, but as a few hours go by the freshness fades away and this kind of creamy vanillalike sweetness from the tonka bean comes up along with some smooth woods. This stuff is great, and probably one of my better compliment getters.

I also believe this is one of the most versatile fragrances on the market. I see no age that couldnt pull this off, and it works equally well for casual settings as it does for formal or professional settings.

I think this would be an excellent choice for a signature scent. Ive heard several people complain about somewhat poor longevity on this one, but on me it lasts a good 810 hours so I cant complain at all.

It seems to project enough to get you noticed without being obnoxious for maybe the first half of its life, then it sits closer to the skin but I still regularly catch whiffs of it after 8 hours. All in all, its not one of my top favorites anymore, but its still amazing stuff and for what it does, I cant say anything bad about it.

A lady sprayed this on my hand as I was walking casually in a store’s aisle. I didn’t pay much attention as this always happens when I go to malls. Later on I was on the bus and I noticed a nice smell and thought “um, who smells so good in here?”.

The day went on, went to different places, and I could still perceive that beautiful smell, so I thought “what the heck am I smelling?” Then I realized it was probably me! lol but why? It wasn’t the smell of my perfumes.

Night came, I came home and could still feel that persistent nice smell of which I couldn’t figure out its origin, until I smelled my hand and everything clicked: “Ah! The perfume the lady sprayed on my hand!!!” I was shocked.

I always get sprayed on perfumes but none of them stays with me throughout the day, their smell fades super quickly. That’s why I couldn’t relate this smell at first. But when I realized this one lasted super strong and beautiful on me all day (even tho it was only one little spray to test it out), I decided to buy it right away.

For some odd reason sometimes I layer my other perfumes on it, and it helps their smell last longer lol. Ok, I highly recommend, even though it’s Versace I don’t think it’s hella expensive, the bottle is beaaaauuuutifuuulll and it smells so feminine and fresh.

First, this smells amazing. I was surprised to see it was a spray and not a rollerball. I was slightly disappointed because I preferred the rollerball so it would last me longer. Unfortunately I have a heavy hand when it comes to my fragrances.

The rollerball kinda makes it impossible to “overdo it” Anyway, I’ll admit it, I’ve had this tiny bottle for a little over a week and well. (its going in the trash) because its officially empty already! Anyways, the website might wanna correct this little mistake.

Its clearly a spray top not & not a rollerball. But other than that this fragrance is simply divine. One of my top 10 favs! My husband loves it plus I get compliments everywhere I go. Its has such a clean & fresh smell.

Next time I will sacrifice & just buy a big bottle. I only made this purchase because at the time shipping was free on orders $50 & up. What was I thinking or was I even thinking? My order wasn’t $50 until they included taxes (so no free shipping for me) BUT the kicker.

I ended up spending almost $70 for this drip of perfume once they included S&H. Oh well. That was entirely my fault. I still absolutely LOVE LOVE this fragrance! I will be buying it again. just a bigger bottle!.

So I’m at this phase where I’m ready to build a new perfume collection kind of out with the old in with the new and maybe some nostalgic fragrances from the past. So after some research I went to Ulta to try out the fragrances I was interested in trying and I was speaking to the clerk who has worked a lot in fragrances.

After spending some time with me she said how disappointing she was that she didn’t have a tester for the Versace Eros put femme – Because after testing various other one she was convinced I would love it she told me to try to find a tester at a different Ulta location.

Since I really didn’t have time to try to hunt down a tester I ended up blind purchasing the 100 ML. I have never blind bought a fragrance ever in my life as I am really way too selective when it comes to fragrances, but this was a lovely surprise she was right! I do enjoy this although I think this is more of a spring / summer scent it’s definitely a very wearable feminine sweet floral balanced well with citrus wood and musk.

She comes in strong at first but settles down well with soft feminine clean aroma, that is appropriate for every day and work. Did I mention the bottle ? Love.

I received a sample of this in the mail a few months back and it sat on my dresser for a few weeks. I finally tried it and I couldn’t stop wearing it and purchased a full 3. 4 ounce bottle before the sample had run out.

I’ll start by saying that I love all Narciso scents. I’m a huge fan of the musk that is present throughout the line. This one has that same musk base but includes a dark sexy vibe to it. The opening is my favorite.

I wish it lasted longer. It’s an absolutely intoxicating plum with pepper and bergamot that grabs your attention. After it dries down it maintain a sweet vanilla musk scent. It’s not the strongest fragrance, but I can still smell the musk on my clothes the next day.

I spray a lot of it and it doesn’t overwhelm me. I’m usually a 2-3 sprays girl, but I do 7-8 of this so I will run though the bottle fast. But it’s perfect! Great for any occasion! I think it’s good for all seasons.

It might be my new signature. Just beautiful if you like musks.

I tried this perfume and ABSOLUTLY fell in love! It’s sexy, deep, slightly sweet but NOT sweet like cheap candy. I also have a small bottle of the parfum. I spray it on my clothes and its lasts until I wash them.

I lent a sweater from my office to a girlfriend because she was cold and she was dancing around about wearing my sweater because it smelled so good! “simply addictive!” The bottle is sleek, heavy in hand and beautiful, very classy- although I have to admit I am not one to buy a perfume based on the pretty bottle.

It certainly helps if it’s pretty! Wink, wink! I feel a lot of the high price points in this industry are because of the unique packaging. The only thing I could possibly improve would be price! It’s not for everyone, which I suppose is a bit of its appeal- however knowing that I will be a purchaser for life, I would love to save.

I received a free sample of this gorgeous perfume and it’s intense powdery fragrance oozes luxury. One spray lasts absolutely ages. I actually preferred it after it had settled about an hour or so after spraying it as I found it a bit heady initially.

That’s why I have it 4 rather than 5 stars. It’s a very ‘grown up’, elegant and enveloping scent. There’s something very familiar about it too and I can’t put my finger on what it is. It’s one I’d be tempted to spray on my favourite blanket so I can enjoy it all snuggled up watching a film, drink in hand, chocolate at the ready and in my pjs.

It’s got something cozy and comforting about it for me. Obviously I would wear on a night out too!.

Bought the sample size to try first before I commit to a full size bottle. When my order came it looks like a mini envelope with a pull up top to spray. There’s an instruction on the back on how to spray it.

First try nothing came out. Tried several times but there’s really nothing. Not even a single drop. With that it’s not even worth a penny. So yeah no idea if it smells good or bad. I waste very disappointed.

Good girl is a sensual and mysterious perfume, perhaps too complex to understand but not trivial: it is a fragrance that has many faces, given the many facets, a perfume for those who do not want to reveal everything at first sight but let themselves be discovered in its various character sides.

The bottle, much discussed as tacky and cafona, is instead, for me, one of the most beautiful. Remember that kind of woman who always wants to make a good impression and show confidence towards the viewer, whether in an interview, formal occasion or emblematic moment of her life, or for a dinner with partners and friends; a carnal and bewitching fragrance.

It starts in a cheeky way with a splash of lemon and bergamot surrounded by an almond as beautiful and creamy as it is pungent but clear of coffee. After about half an hour it moves violently on a heart that, on me, already blends well with the base notes: I feel the sambac jasmine, the orange blossom, the tuberose, a very sweet milky hint and already from here I feel very well cinnamon, the cocoa dissolved by the sweetness of the praline that merges with the sweetness of the amber, the rest is an evolution so fast that it cannot keep up with it, in fact all these single notes will then be tangled and joined together in a harmonious way.

The scent will positively stun whoever your “prey” is and will capture their attention. I like it, I like it so much that I feel myself its prey because it knows what it wants and captures it without buts and without ifs; makes me feel unique and unrepeatable of the series: “here I am”.

For me the best gourmand you can find around. I do not feel chemical like the flanker suprême and I am amazed that it was Turner herself who created it because this progenitor is a masterpiece for me.

The duration is pezzesca: it can even exceed 10 hours on clothes, the Projection is intense for about 5 hours then lowers to medium. A perfume that is able to give you the right boost for everything that represents that opportunity granted by life to demonstrate who we are and I dare to say, why not? Good girl is that perfume that also challenges the fate of destiny.

It’s skin-to-skin magic… you can fall in love as much as you can be perplexed, but never indifferent in my opinion. Madly in love, I will buy it back indefinitely, until death do us part.

I’ve had the largest size in this perfume for quite a few years now lol. A large size of perfume is really economical for me, because it lasts me forever. And it smelled all right enough in the store.

Employee said it was their best seller. Bottle was super odd and neat and cute. But I can’t really describe the smell. It’s not fruity or floral at all. There’s some kind of almost sensual deep musky smell with it, and be careful with the sprays, cause she lasts and lasts and lasts… especially on clothes.

My kid loves perfume. She wanted one spray of it last night while playing pretend. I barely even gave her not even half a spritz, and sprayed it to the side of her neck with her shirt collar pulled down, so that what I sprayed, all of the half a spritz wouldn’t even hit her neck, and most of it would go just into the air kinda near her (cause I worry about spraying perfume really on any of the kids and usually try to use all natural products with them, with the least amount of chemicals possible).

She already had her pajamas on before bed, and today is just a couple days before Xmas, so she’s kinda prowled around the house in her PJs today, since we weren’t going anywhere today. Sthought she was sooo big when she got that barely even a half a spritz put on, lol.

Well, her shirt collar somehow rubbing against that area at some point in the night has made her shirt smell like it from a mile away, and I can still smell it all over her. I smells I mean, pretty good to be.

But it’s like a strong sense of this sexy, deep, dark, sensual smelling stuff. Not sweet or fruity or floral AT ALL. Not even a little. Til I can find a new signature scent (mine WAS formerly YSL Black Opium Floral Shock.

Hate the regular Black Opium, but Floral Shock was sooo so so good for the type of scent profile I like. Except it was stolen from me a few months back). So thank God I had this bottle as a backup, while I’ve been on the prowl for something else, or I’d have had no perfume.

Power and sillage: Lasting power is at least 8hrs. Sillage is quite strong for the first 3-4 hours you’ve sprayed it, and moderately projects for the rest of its lasting power. Lingers on skin in the last 2 hours of wear.

9/10 Scent: A beautiful, clean, feminine musky tonka bean, almond creme, soft floral and slightly linen fragrance. Perfect for fall and winter, and for evening/night events. 10/10 Packaging: I grabbed the 1oz bottle, and it is small and portable enough for most spaces, including travel.

Would definitely recommend keeping the box on you for travel though, as the shape of the bottle may make it awkward to adequately protect in a suitcase. Other than that, I find the spritzer and cap quite sturdy, zero issues, and the bottle is perfectly leveled and balanced, so I have not had any issues storing it or displaying it in my vanity.

9/10 Recommendations: fall/winter, evening/night, feminine fragrance, ages 21+, softly classical and dreamy. It projects a decadence and pillowy tenderness, while still painting an image of power that is sultry, almost dark.

The color palette that comes to mind? Dark emeralds, silver, burgundy, and broodier but comfortable purples. A safe blind buy for lovers of enchanting scents and gourmands.

The Bloom Eau de Toilette from Gucci is a complex and beautiful floral fragrance. This fragrance has notes of Jasmine, Tuberose, Rangoon Creeper, and Neroli Accord. For me, the most prominent notes are the Jasmine and the Neroli Accord.

The musky side of the Jasmine is particularly prominent, but the piney brightness of the Neroli Accord is not far behind it. While I love floral fragrances, this perfume is a bit too musky for my tastes.

However, it is a very intriguing fragrance that I, admittedly, kept returning to throughout the day to try to figure out exactly what notes I was smelling. This is a very potent fragrance and it only takes one spray per application to achieve lasting effects.

It is also a long-lasting fragrance and lasted the entire day without needing to be reapplied. I cannot comment on the packaging or size of the product as I only received a sample, but the presentation of the sample was very nice.

Overall, while this is not a perfume I would purchase for myself, I would definitely recommend it if you like muskier floral fragrances. I can appreciate that it is a good fragrance, however, it is just not for me.

Beautiful, Floral, and Boring. This is one of the only blind buys I regret as Gucci perfumes are extremely expensive and I bought a full bottle. I love the color of the bottle, but given the price tag, the fact that the name of the perfume is a sticker on the bottle is a bit upsetting to me.

Especially because of how beautiful the newest Alchemist Line Gucci perfume bottles are with the same price tag. Now on to the actual smell of the perfume! Although there is Rangoon Creeper in it, I smell just overwhelmingly linear tuberose.

I think perhaps that Rangoon Creeper has a very similar smell to me personally (or on my skin) to tuberose and none of these notes are show stoppers. I think this perfume would be good for a day out with friends, a safe wedding perfume, a generous gift for a conservative female relative, or a safe choice at the office.

On me this perfume does not last long but it could be entirely possible that I become anosmic to it as it really does not have many layers or nuances to it. Also a disclaimer- I swear to god I’m not just being bitter at the fact I blind bought this.

There are a lot of super expensive blind buys of mine that I’ve hated but grown to love and appreciate over time (Like Thierry Mugler’s Alien). Gucci Bloom isn’t this. She’s just a pretty girl with no personality.

I came here to write a review on this fragrance because I did a blind buy based on my experience with Flower Bomb and the reviews that were already written and I felt like I had been lead astray a bit so I wanted to write the review that I wish I had read.

A lot of people say that this is a sweet perfume, and if you’re somebody who doesn’t love sweet perfumes I can see how one might perceive that (and we all know perfumes can smell different on different people) but if you do like sweet perfumes like Pink Sugar or even the original Flower Bomb then you should be warned that this one isn’t like those.

This is a darker floriental sort of perfume. It reminds me of a more floral Black Opium or a more sophisticated version of Katy Perry’s Killer Queen. The peach is not a juicy body spray peach, it’s a deep and subtle vine note with the barest sparkle of something fruity.

The vanilla, like the perfume description, is a complex bourbon vanilla like something you would smell in an alcohol bottle more than a baked good. There is a definite floral note in the middle that nods to flower bomb while being distinctly something new.

Like most good perfumes, this one combines into something unique and reading the notes/accords in the description won’t give the actual scent any justice. The perfume has burlesque vibes to it, imagine something heady and sexy like sweeping back a velvet curtain as you slink onto the stage of a smokey cabaret.

It has an average lasting power and sillage. I got it for a specific event where I was cosplaying as a conflicted character and I think this helped me get into the headspace for that. I enjoy the scent and will use this bottle, but wouldn’t buy it again.

Flowerbomb is a beautiful eau de parfum by ViktorRolf. At first I was a bit unimpressed by the name and packaging – yet another floral perfume? I was wondering if this would be memorable, or smell like something generic wafting out of the off-brand fragrance aisle at the drug store.

Boy was I wrong! First and foremost, I really appreciate that this comes in a “splash” bottle, which really allows you to appreciate the product in the way in which it was supposed to be presented – in a gorgeous bottle! The bottle is designed to look like a “diamond grenade.

” It is a very geometrical and powerful shape that packs a punch when you open the cap. Some perfumes take a while to register with your chemistry before you can fully appreciate the smell. Not this perfume.

This smelled great on my skin immediately after applying a small dab to the inside of my wrist. The floral notes are lovely of course, but there is also this underlying softness that is so alluring and breathtaking to smell – most likely from the patchouli and vanilla notes.

It almost smells like a rosy, fresh, powdery envelopment of feminine love that is both calmly familiar and vividly effervescent. This is definitely an addictive fragrance. The best part is that the smell dissipates into the softest essence.

I would feel comfortable wearing this in close quarters, as the scent is soft enough not to agitate other people in the vicinity. Some people dock points for this, but I love wearing a scent that comes off more as a soft trail, instead of occupying the entire room.

They use the olfactory notes of Centifolia rose, jasmine, orchid, and osmanthus. There is nothing obnoxious or intrusive about the way this smells, and though titled “Flowerbomb,” this is not an overpowering or explosively strong fragrance.

It is, however, filled with the intense aroma of a freshly cut and misted floral rose bouquet that is sensually addictive at the very least. A must-have!.

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau de Toilette from Dior is a delicately blooming floral fragrance with a lightly musky base. It has top notes of Sicilian Mandarin; middle notes of Pink Peony, Damask Rose, Peach, and Apricot; and base notes of White Musk.

Upon the initial application, I am hit with the powdery floral scent of the Damask Rose and the freshly floral scent of the Pink Peony. Once that begins to fade a bit, I smell more of the White Musk; but it is not so heavy as to completely overpower the other notes.

To me, this is a very soft, feminine fragrance. This perfume is never overly strong – not even when it is first sprayed. Once it dries down, it becomes a very light scent that, rather than being thick and cloying, is more like a hint of fragrance in the air.

While it is nice to know that a perfume will not be too strong, this one is a bit too faint. This fragrance does not have great lasting power and, in my experience, has to be reapplied if you would like it to last all day.

I received a sample-size of this perfume rather than an actual bottle, so I cannot comment on the packaging of the product. However, the presentation of the sample is very nice. Overall, I do like this fragrance.

I just wish it had more lasting power to it. I probably would not purchase a full-size of this product just because I feel like I would have to waste product reapplying it throughout the day. It would probably make a good fragrance for the workplace though since it’s not overly strong and probably would not irritate those more sensitive to fragrances.

When I sprayed Sì Intense on my wrists at Sephora, I swooned with pleasure and momentarily considered purchasing a bottle then and there. (I didn’t; common sense compelled me to request a sample vial instead.

) Sì Intense’s initial cassis note reminded me of Calvin Klein Euphoria (which I still love) and the successive notes of plush rose and creamy vanilla brought to mind Bond no. West Side 9 (ditto). Is it a “modern chypre,” as its promotional copy tells us? No, it really isn’t; I’d describe it as more of a “fleurmand,” with its floral and sweet notes.

It’s sweeter than you might expect for the Armani brand or for Cate Blanchett (the “face” of Sì). It’s also fairly linear, getting slightly woodier after an hour but never changing too much. My main complaint is Sì Intense’s claim to being “richer than the original,” with a 20% concentration of fragrance oil (versus the typical 8 – 15% for Eau de Parfum).

Well, it’s certainly different from the original Sì, which smelled to me like a pretty but bland mix of freesia, orange blossom and sheer musk. However, I found its longevity very disappointing for any Eau de Parfum, let alone one that claims to be, well, intense.

Basically, I’m glad that I didn’t give in to my initial impulse to buy Sì Intense on the spot; it’s briefly very enjoyable, but I’m at a point in my perfume life where I demand more from my fragrances.

If it lasted a long time on my skin, or if it were half the price, I’d say “yes. ” I look forward to trying out the other Si’s soon, as well as Armani’s citrus range and telling you how exciting or disappointed it might be.

It’s funny how you can dismiss something the first time around and then end up falling in love with it! I was at Sephora last year and was browsing fragrances when I came across ‘Si’ and thought I’d give it a try as it’s been around for almost 7 years, always popular and often heavily advertised.

Smelling it from the bottle I didn’t like it much if at all, yet later that week I caught the most gorgeous scent from a lady who was walking past me in the store aisle and I just had to ask her what it was.

Well imagine my surprise when she told me it was G. A’s Si! Went back to Sephora and this time made sure to spritz some on my wrist, rather than dismiss it downright from the tester bottle. And what a difference that made.

a yummy, almost gourmand fragrance that reminds me very much of YSL’s Black Opium, yet somehow ‘greener’ and sweeter. The opening note is a combination of Cassis, Patchouli, Vanilla and Rose, and I get a strong wine note which reminds me of a freshly opened bottle of Rioja.

Very shortly after that I get some wood, spice and berries. The patchouli in particular is a very dominant note throughout so you’d probably have to be a fan of it to like this. The dry down is a powdery, woody/earthy scent which is sweet but not overly so.

A perfect fall or winter fragrance as it’s very comforting. Wearing this always gets me compliments. Just keep in mind that it’s best to go easy with this as the sillage is powerful and the longevity is very good too – I get around 6 hours or more.

Items were received on Sat 15th Jan so quite a while after you asked for this review. I prefer Armani to Si. Why? Si has a heightened deeper fragrance and would suit a woman for an evening scent. It’s much too heavily perfumed for daytime wear.

The musky ness was something I was totally aware of all day and evening Si from the prospect of value for money it’s good as you don’t feel you have to ‘too up’ every hour! It’s definitely an acquired perfume, perhaps in time you can get used to but sadly it’s not for me.

If it was broken down in its level of very saturated oils then it could be one to consider. Armani however is suitable for everyone. It has an even subtle scent that lingers and gets better as time goes on.

It’s not one to need constant resprays as the scent changes and hits the senses time and time again with another level of forests filled with different smelling plants. Love it!!.

I first smelled this fragrance straight from the bottle at a Nordstrom and thought, “Ew…I wouldn’t touch this fragrance with a ten foot pole. ” Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! I received a sample from Chanel and just out of curiosity, sprayed some on my wrist.

This goes so well with my body chemistry. Once settled into my skin, I get this amazing cloud of warm vanilla, bourbon, and delicate florals with a hint of sweetness. I feel like a 1950s Super Starlet when wearing this perfume.

It is now my weekend perfume because of how comforting it is. I can easily wear this every day. It has a matronly air too it. It does remind me of my Grandma, but let me stress that my Grandma always smelled amazing! It’s like taking a luxurious bubble bath with the finest French soap and lightly powdering yourself afterwards.

One of my Grandma’s favorite rituals. I feel like one of the special, select, few that No. 5 just blends so well and shines so beautifully with my body chemistry. I have heard others complain about how unpleasant it smells on them.

Some what sharp and artificial, but not so with me. I never thought in a million years that I would like this fragrance, but now I utterly enjoy it! p. s. one spray is all you need EDP.

Chanel No. 5 L’eau EDT, released in 2016, is classified as a floral aldehyde fragrance, with notes of aldehydes, lemon, neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and white musk. I will start off by saying that the look of the flacon is still absolutely gorgeous and simple and the atomizer is something I think most perfumes should really adopt: the continuous spray is what helps get the scent on nicely.

Now, this was a creation meant to accompany the modern woman without the heaviness of the powders, musks, and vintage atmosphere the original EDP evokes. I do say that they have done their job well. The signature aldehyde opening is extremely fresh and soapy, and the opening citruses further carry out that zesty freshness.

The florals are quite understated, with exception to the ylang-ylang which has been reformulated to be a bit sweeter and more citrusy than its counterpart. At certain times, though, it feels like I’ve opened a can of Sprite and let it sit out for a while.

At other times, it feels lightly powdery and clean. I think it depends on what you smell when it dries down, and where you apply it on the skin/clothes. It feels like the original, but much lighter and more airy.

Because of that airiness, though, it feels like it’s fleeting quickly. Performance is to be expected for this EDT, but slightly lacking in projection: longevity is around 3 hours on the skin, and sillage is moderate for the first hour, then starts to become a skin scent after that.

Modern, effervescent, clean – it’s the perfume you wear for fresh out of the shower, or anytime during the day – maybe even a bridal scent. Since it’s so light, it wouldn’t make much of an impact during the evenings, unless you wore it bed.

It is important to understand, however, that since this is a “l’eau” composition, it’s not meant to be heavy or long-lasting, so do keep that in mind when sampling. However, it does still retain some of that EDP DNA, so you won’t be missing out on too much if you were to get this over the original.

If you are a fan of the EDP and want something lighter, or you really enjoy citrus aldehydes, I recommend it.

This is a really unique, lovely scent. The aldehydes are prominent, but as the name suggests, in a lighter way than the original no. 5. It’s light, effervescent, almost like a fizzy lemon soda. It’s bright, sophisticated, airy, and very beautiful.

The lasting power is about what you’d expect from an eau de toilette — a few hours or so I’d say. I love a beautiful bottle and this one doesn’t disappoint. It feels luxurious. From the gorgeous, iconic design to the incredibly luxe feeling atomizer, it is such a joy to reach for.

All in all, this is a beautiful, modern interpretation of a classic. It loses a star for me really just because of the performance at this price point and because it is a bit of a challenging scent with the aldehydes but I still think it’s at the very least worth a try and for me, something I really enjoy.

It may not be my favorite scent, but it’s one I very much enjoy wearing and appreciate.

What I love about “Coco Mademoiselle” is that it will never smell dated. It doesn’t smell trendy, either. It simply smells classic French. The secret? When Jacques Polge (the perfumer) created “Coco Mademoiselle” in the early-2000s, he did not follow any fragrance trends of that time, which is the reason why the perfume is timeless: it can’t be “trapped” in an era.

If smelled amazing in 2001, still smells amazing in 2023, and will smell amazing by the end of this century. Since its inception, “Coco Mademoiselle” never once fell off the international bestsellers list.

On to the scent! “Coco Mademoiselle” opens with a spicy-citrus (think pomander balls), but the Grasse jasmine, Turkish rose, and velvety orange blossom quickly enter, adding elegance to the bright opening.

The scent is then rounded out on a base vanilla and precious woods. The result? An intoxicating and elegant perfume that some may find intimidating. Like I said, the perfume is timeless because no trendy or “hyped up” fragrance notes were used.

While the other brands were chasing perfume trends, the Chanel house was more interested in creating something that would fit in with the brand image. Traditional perfume notes were used, blended with expertise using classic French perfumery techniques.

Lasting power (for the Eau De Parfum) is about six hours for me, when it’s a new bottle. After a year or two, the perfume grows richer, bolder, and lasts days. Yes, days. “Coco Mademoiselle” is confident, luxurious, and beautiful.

Something about it is just a cut above it. Love it or hate it, it is the scent of this century, the zeitgeist, if you will. The 20th had “No. 5,” the 21st has “Coco Mademoiselle. “.

I didn’t know they debuted a travel set in a mini version with refills; gosh, I wish every perfume would offer an easy “on the go” set like this! But back to this divinely feminine fragrance…. I remember the exact day I first smelled this and it was when I received a full bottle as a gift from my mom ❤️ It was the first Christmas after I graduated college earned my Bachelor’s Degree, 12/25/2003.

She told me that she knew buying perfume for someone other than yourself isn’t always recommended, but that she “knew me better than anyone” (which is true) and she said when she smelled it, I was the first person she thought of.

She and I both agree that Coco Mademoiselle smells like a confident, feminine, and ambitious woman. But still, I know that’s vague lol, so I included the photo that spells out every scent/note in this mesmerizing perfume.

And hey, #INFLUENSTER if you’re listening, I would LOVE to sample this out because while it was my signature fragrance for nearly 10 years, I haven’t owned any in just as long 💔 it’s a total classic, hands down.

I received a sample of GABRIELLE CHANEL ESSENCE Eau de Parfum from Macy’s. This fragrance is beautiful and I fell in love with the scent instantly. It is in the floral family and the key notes are Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Orange Blossom and Gasse Tuberose.

Once this scent is one the skin and settles down, it becomes a mysterious, sexy floral fragrance that is addictive. GABRIELLE CHANEL ESSENCE Eau de Parfum is beautiful and feminine. It is not too strong or too light.

This gorgeous scent is appropriate for Spring and Summer as well as for day and evening. I applied a few spritzes to my pulse points and my clothing. At the end of a 8 hour day I could still smell this fragrance lightly on my skin and it lingered on my clothing.

I also wore this scent out on a date night with my significant other. He was full of compliments. He kept asking me what perfume I was wearing. He said I smelled beautiful and divine. He even offered to purchase me a full size bottle of GABRIELLE CHANEL ESSENCE Eau de Parfum because he couldn’t get enough of how sexy I smelled.

This fragrance is definitely pricey running $90. 00 for the smallest bottle which is 35ml. However, it is definitely worth every dollar. I can’t wait to receive my full size bottle it is going to be a great addition to my vanity.

Chanel perfumes have always been a staple and people know what you are wearing without asking. If someone walked by me with Chanel I would know and you would probably know as well. Before I even used perfume I knew what Chanel was because of this distinct Chanel Signature they have.

As an adult, I found the Chanel scents to be a bit more mature too bold, and not something I was interested in. This Chanel Gabrielle perfume has the perfect balance of youth, maturity, sophistication, and is different than its other older original scents we all know of.

I have been buying this perfume repeatedly every time I run out since it is a scent that you really do fall in love with. I highly recommend this perfume to anyone who likes Chanel but wants a toned-down scent in a way.
