We love tea in this house so we’re always trying out new flavors and brands when we come across them. Since I was a child Ive struggled with insomnia; have tried various remedies and solutions and pretty much the only thing that helped was medication, but I’m not a fan of taking meds unless absolutely necessary so I try not to take sleep aides unless it’s a last resort.
Well! I conducted a semi-scientific experiment at home when I saw your survey request in my email. I had saved one Rooibos teabag from another brand and today brewed Equal Exchange and the other brand in matching cups for over 7 minutes.
Transferred the tea into glasses to see the color better. The other brand, a good brand, mind you, is a little more orange and lighter in tone. EE is darker, more reddish tone. I did not plan to sit at my kitchen table and take a serious and lengthy taste test, but that’s what happened.
Rooibos has very subtle flavors. I detected a tiny salty taste in each. A slight and almost fishy taste in the other brand. Surprising! In the EE tea, a lighter, plant taste and definitely not fishy.
Both teas leave a dryness on my tongue after a moment. Rooibos is my main drink all day, besides water. I often add cream to it. It is a versatile tea that can be mixed with other tea, and juice. I choose it because it is so healthy, and because I enjoy it.
The packaging is as important as anything to me. EE packing is 100% recyclable. The other brand has a wrapping with some foil type of material on paper. Supposed to be recyclable. But not in a recycle bin.
And of course, as important as ANYTHING is that your tea is grown by small farmers who benefit through your cooperative. I like buying directly through EE online. It is reasonably priced too. I have also joined your network online, to support farming efforts so seriously challenged in our world.
My thanks to Equal Exchange for your dedication to the caring about the entire process of producing a high-quality product.

While traveling a few summers ago, we stopped at a service station. I spotted the beverage area and decided I would purchase tea (my favorite beverage). The Honeybush and Lavender teas appealed to me; the best tea ever! I have placed orders several times since and have introduced my family and friends to it.
We first had a cup of Golden Chamomile herbal tea while waiting for my sister to come out of surgery. It was a perfect activity to keep mom and I distracted during a long wait. Very soothing & a warm tasty surprise.
It wasn’t until the ride home, we discussed wanting to locate your brand of tea, because we both enjoyed it so much. Thank you for such a wonderful blend.
It’s really lovely and simple and sweet- kind of reminds me of honeysuckle. I didn’t know what to expect with caramel but it’s not my five star level tea. Definitely four star though! The tea bags are great quality- just wish they were packaged differently so that I could hide them with my other teas without my mom noticing my growing tea stash!.

Treat yourself to this golden-in-the-cup tea and simply enjoy. The Stash Tea Company is a privately-held company headquartered in Tigard, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. Founded in 1972, Stash Tea originally operated out of an old Portland Victorian style house, supplying loose herbal teas and bulk herbs to natural food stores.
Starting in 1975, the company broadened its focus to include bagged teas and then began to sell a full line of traditional, specialty blend and herbal teas directly to fine restaurants and through a mail order catalog to consumers.
Today, Stash Tea is one of the largest specialty tea companies in the United States. The company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally.
I have insomnia and I have a two pronged problem of not feeling sleepy enough to sleep and waking up in the middle of the night and being unable to fall back asleep. This tea relaxes me so well that I feel sleepy and my sleep is more restful.
Just like another reviewer said, I can feel myself getting drowsy even while brushing my teeth, if I brush after drinking this tea that evening. I happen to love chamomile tea, but the additional flavors in this tea are pleasantly surprising and a welcome change.
If your stomach is upset, chamomile does wonders, so if you don’t like it plain, try this. I also recommend Mellow Moments.

I am a huge lover of peppermint teas. When I saw this a few months ago on Thrive I knew I had to try it. The tea is wonderful. It has a nice minty flavor and the tea is really nice and not bitter at all.
I drink peppermint tea every day and I add Great Lakes Collagen to it and I love that this tea can hide the collagen really well. I love that it is organic. Another bonus is the biodegradable cellophane, no plastic waste for the land fill.
The tea bags themselves are also unbleached, that is important to me and for my family. I really love this tea and I an anxious to try more of Thrives teas. I will be buying this again.
So I’ve hesitantly ordered Thrive Market’s Lemon Ginger tea for the first time in July 2018. So (1) I’m a HUGE fan of teas from the Traditional Medicinals brand because the tea does not taste “fake” or have a “chemical taste” like other brands do.
(2) I’m really big on chopping up ginger and squeezing some lemon or lime in as a part of my breakfast every morning. After tasting Thrive Market’s Lemon Ginger tea, it’s really good! I will be ordering some more from this line and saving up more $$ on batches of tea that I usually order!.

Chamomile tea has a luscious golden tone and delicate flavor that makes it a traditional favorite. It is not technically a tea, but rather a cascade of tiny yellow flowers prized for their aroma. You will love the beauty of these little flowers in your infuser! Chamomile has long been known as a bedtime tea, as it contains natural properties which promote restfulness and drowsiness.
Chamomile is best served hot and is delicious with a bit of honey or some fresh mint leaves.
It’s the fluffiest chamomile I’ve ever brewed and it is good. I was not sure about the amount needed, or time required to brew, so my 1st cup was strong and bitter. I adjusted the amount and time and it was as good a cup of camomile as I’ve had.
We love Two Leaves and a Bud teas, but this was our first attempt purchasing them via Walmart’s website. Not worth it. These are more than double the cost of one box at our local whole foods store and they only gave us one box, not 6 like the picture indicates.
I bought another type of the same brand and the same is the case. Same cost and same quantity, however, the description of the other states it is supposed to contain 6. Very deceptive marketing.
At over $0. 55 per tea bag, this product is not worth the price. I have bought many other name brand Darjeeling please that are just as good or better and they are much less expensive. I suppose I didn’t look got the quantity, and instead looked at the photo.
The photo shows six boxes. If I had realized it was only 15 tea bags I wouldn’t have bought it. I’ve purchased Keurig teas in the past that were much less than these 2 leaves and they are a much better quality.
I’m thinking I may be the first one to review them because the price is so exorbitant. PLEASE, at least change the photo to show the quantity that is actually being sold!.
Perfect for after a long day. Gentle flavor. Wonderful aroma. Flavor could be stronger. That’s the only complaint I have. But it stands up to being brewed strong very well though. Worth every dime. I would recommend it to others.
