Best Cell Phone Carrier For International Travel (2024 Updated)

I’m a sucker for travel gear and accessories, so the XP-3 pouch was enticing to look at. The design is simple, with clean aesthetics. It provides ample padded protection against luggage jostling and everyday-type drop risks.

Took it on a 6-hour boat excursion in 100-degree heat and had zero issue with phone temp at the end of the day. Also went well on a 2-hour kayak run at 85 degrees, same result. Biggest wish for this product would be waterproofing.

As currently designed and disclosed by Phoozy, once dropped in water, fluid will get inside because of the hook & loop (i. e. Velcro) closure. With heavy use, that hook & loop will eventually loosen a bit and the water resistance will be further diminished.

As it was, brand new out of the box, I wasn’t willing to toss the pouch, with my current phone inside, into the lake as a test. A pouch like this that offers flexible, padded protection, temperature resistance, and floatability is a fine idea, but until it’s 100% waterproof, not sure it’s worth the money to do what can already be done by keeping your phone out of the sun, in a protected pocket or padded compartment of some other gear piece you already own.

The PHOOZY insulated pouch seems well-suited for skiing, winter hiking, and outdoor activities in the colder months. It is very light-weight & feels like the insulation would keep the cold from draining your battery.

You do have to be careful with it in the warmer months as they advise not leaving your phone in the pouch while in the sun or in a vehicle for too long due to the risk of overheating. I put my phone in the pouch which I placed in my backpack, and my phone did fine.

The pouch did a good job of protecting against any scratches. It is a cushion & not a hard case, so I think it would protect from a low-level fall, but obviously not completely crash-proof. They say that it floats if you drop it in the water, but I did not test it.

Although, it seems like it would. Size-wise, my Galaxy S9 with a thin case on it fit snugly in the pouch without issue. The velcro seal stayed has stayed closed without worry, and there are 3 loops of webbing on the outside if you want to thread a belt or clip it.

Overall, it’s a little extra protection for a phone which can cost upwards of $1,000 these days so, not a bad investment especially for snow/winter excursions.

The Good: This pouch is attractive; it’s big enough for my phone, some cash, and a couple cards. It’s got three big loops on the back, giving lots of options to attach to clothing or my backpack when hiking.

And the black tabs on the top are very sturdy and make it easy to access the inside. The claims: I believe it when it says it’s drop proof. This thing is quite sturdy, but listen — I’m not going to test it with my phone, okay? I’m comfortable taking their word on this one.

For “Float Protection,” I’m going to give it a “Very Good, but not perfect. ” The hook & loop closures at the top of the pouch are not WATERPROOF, but I put (not my phone) in it and dropped it into a tall bucket of water.

It didn’t make it all the way underwater before it bounced to the surface. I imagined dropping it off my boat, so I left it in the bucket for a couple minutes. Some small amount of droplets got inside the pouch.

I believe that, with the water resistance of my phone, we would have been safe. That said, it is DEFINITELY not waterproof. I left the experiment in longer, and I’m sorry to tell you, my phone would have had to sit in a bag of rice if it had been in there.

“Waterproof” is not one of their claims, so this would definitely be a caveat emptor situation. As for “Cold Proof,” “Heat Proof,” I’ll give it a “MEH. ” I live in the desert, and I foresee using this while on my boat in the middle of the summer when it’s a hundred and a thousand degrees outside.

That said, I will NOT be leaving this on the seat of my car, or on the boat in the sun. I heated my oven to 115 (I have a digital thermometer), turned it off, then put the pouch inside, WITH my phone in it.

The oven cooled off quickly, but the interior of the phone pouch (and my phone!) got quickly up to about 106, and stayed there. However, I believe that the pouch will reflect the sun (I have the silver one) enough that, if I happen to forget it for a bit, it’s not going to kill it.

“Cold Proof” is also a big question mark. I threw it in the freezer for a dozen minutes or so. Not only did it NOT preserve my battery life (my battery DRAINED), it didn’t insulate my phone at ALL. It was as cold as the outside! “Preserves Battery Life” — in the cold, DEFINITELY not.

In the heat, I think yes. At least, it didn’t drain it when I did the oven experiment. The bottom line: I will DEFINITELY be bringing this along on the outside of my pack whenever I hike. Normally, I stow my phone in my cargo pocket, which can be tiresome if I have anything else in there (and we know how women’s pockets are.

). This will be a handy addition, and I’m excited about it in any weather. However, when I’m skiing or camping in super cold weather, I think the phone may do better against my skin, like I normally keep it.

Again, I’m a girl, so it’s WAY too bulky for everyday carrying in my pockets.

I’m a tradesman and metal fabricator for over forty years. Anything I wear on my belt winds up looking like a disaster after even a week of use. But this case has held up incredibly. A shop filled with metal dust,sparks and everyday grime.

Never a problem. Bang into my welding table fifty times a day. No issues so far. And my iPhone 13 max with a large protective case fits like a glove. Easy to remove with one hand and to slip back in.

Fits my samsung 9+ phone with the otter box outer rubber phone cover very well. A little larger in height and width the my previous cammo nite ize case. But all and all works well. Couldn’t locate my camo nite ize so I settled on this one.

Would have given 5 star rating however this belt clip doesn’t rotate 360 degrees as my old case.

This holster makes it easy to carry my Pixel XL 3 phone around. The first few times using it, I wasn’t sure the holster was big enough, as it was extra tight. The elastic on the sides expand enough to keep the phone very snug and now it fits just fine.

In winter it’s easy to find a coat pocket to stick a large phone in, but what about the rest of the year? With a clip, a ring, and a belt loop, this holster provides plenty of options for attachment.

The one feature that needs improvement is the velcro – there’s too much of it. When you lift off the cover, it’s a bit loud.

the best thing about this, Is the 2 way belt loop. you can put the holder on up and down, OR the same way the belt go’s,. and, It well stay there until you take the belt off. the closer Is Velcro, and a lot of It too.

After seeing this product on Shark Tank, I ordered one to test out while skiing. It didn’t disappoint! I was able to continue to listen to my music while skiing and my battery didn’t die all day. I also took it on vacation to protect my phone while at the beach.

Again, the product didn’t disappoint! Typically my phone overheats while at the beach, but I kept it in the Phoozy most of the day and it never died. I’ve since bought one for my mom, sister, and aunts.

Saw this company on Shark Tank and was happy to see them on here! I have had my phone go dead on me during my walks in the colder months and now I don’t have to worry about it. I bought the gold and black bundle and they are excellent, surpassed my expectations.

Fit my iphone well and I love the way the gold one looks. My son loves to skiboard so I’m giving him the black one for Christmas. Also, I ordered a few more for gifts – this is my go-to gift for everyone on my list this year!.

I love my PHOOZY! I use to protect my phone from the cold when skiing on the mountain and also day to day drop protection at the grocery store 🙂 Added benefit that the inside is antimicrobial so I don’t have to worry about disinfecting my phone all the time.

I purchased a vertical Nite Ize fits all case for my new Apple SE Phone. I found it difficult to carry the new larger cell phone in my pants pockets. I’m sure glad I purchased the Nite Ize case. In my hast to get to an appointment, I accidentally left my cased phone on the roof of my car.

At 35 m. p. h. it went flying off my car roof and rolled down the road. When I retrieved my phone, it was in perfect working order. The belt clip broke off in the fall but the rest of my case is in good working order.

I now use a Nite Ize # 3 S-Biner to carry the case on me. Thanks Nite Lze for quality products!.

I have tried other cases but this heavy duty nylon/velcro item is the best. It really takes rough handling and still stays secure on my belt. I don’t worry about loosing my phone; I know it’s safely secure in the case.

I use smaller cases for Medtronic and Tandem insulin pumps, also Dexcom CGM. Never falls off belt or out of case.

I had to carefully measure my flip phone to determine if it would fit. It fits so snugly that sometimes the side switches are inadvertently pressed. The Velcro strap has more than enough overlap to accommodate the length.

The metal clip is a bit on the low side which makes the top wobble a bit but is very secure on a waist belt.

I’ve had this same model many years and was pleased to know it was still being made. It is a very well made product and am glad to know my flip phone is again safely secured.

These cases are perfect for people that use insulin pumps. in fact there should be a listing for this use under ebay. Best case for this application and is well made.

My wife couldnt make the transition from an old flip phone to a smart phone when we switched carriers. They never had flip phones in stock. The guy at the phone store suggested going to eBay to find on that was compatible with the new carrier.

We found this Alcatel phone to be perfect. No more arguments about the smartphone.

Alcatel needs to get out of the cell phone business! This is the poorest flip cell phone I have ever owned! I use a flip phone as my fall-back cell in case I break or loose my smartphone. Older LG or Motorola flip phones run circles around this POS! I used nothing but simpler cell phones prior to 2019; they were all used and were either one of the previous brands mentioned.

The features on this cell were mostly non-existent, I would classify it as a bottom-of-the-barrel 2018 cell that had some of the features of a year 2000 cell. Buy a higher-rated used cell.

Works well with T Mobile. (Also the only flip they offer but price was lower here). For me the down side is it has too many functions being 4G. I wanted something less “smart” My old 2G phone was easier to navigate when just calling and texting.

With the additional functions, I need to complete additional steps to get what I want. The biggest down side is you cannot read the text outdoors. Even shading the screen helps very little. Had to go 4G because T Mobile does not support 2G any more and old phone did mot work well after they upgraded towers.

Can’t beat the price, in the stores they sell for twenty bucks, has two belt loops or if you prefer to just clip it on you can do that too. Well made and looks good only problem I notice is the magnet is not too strong, the lid covers well as long as you secure the phone into the pocket.

Need to make a correction: Magnet seems to work Much better. Am very happy with the purchase, love the Heavy Duty Thread and stitching work.

I am really liking this cell phone case. It is just the right size for my small cell phone. The magnetic closure is a nice feature as well as the clip and the belt loops on the back of the case. I also like the fact that the case is leather.

I’ve had a few of these holsters and love them. But, like everyone else i wish it had a different retention system. The Velcro lasts for quite a while, but I think a snap option would be nice. I will admit that I am not the most gentle person with the holster.

I am in building maintenance, so often I am rolling on the ground fixing things. I usually get about 12-18 months use out of a holster so it is still a good value. I also like that I can keep business cards and a small notepad in the holster to jot down notes.

Do I recommend this product? Heck Yeah!.

I had been buying “leather” type holster cases for my phones for the longest time and none would last longer than 6 months. Then 3 years ago, bought a nylon case from Nite’Ize and it has held up all this time, though the velcro wasn’t as sticky anymore but still held my phone safely and securely.

When I upgraded to a bigger phone, it was only smart to replace it with another Nite’Ize case. Though this new case is a little bigger than my last, only because the phone is bigger, I am confident that I won’t be needed to buy another case until I upgrade my phone again.

I am disappointed with this purchase. I already own one Nite-ize cell phone pouch” which has an expired hook-and-loop velcro closure and desired to replace it with an identical unit. Unfortunately, the one sent to me is not as deep as my original pouch and therefore should be returned for credit.

My cell phone is a Samsung Galaxy S9+, with an Otter Defender” protective case and it fits very well into my original pouch. This new Nite-ize case that was sent is not as deep as the original and therefore the closure does not fully engage (the cover flap only extends about halfway with the velcro not fully engaging).

I asked my companion about just re-sewing the velcro part with new velcro, but she told me that velcro is nearly impossible to sew on a home-style sewing machine, and that trying to replace it would ruin the old Nite-ize case.

I purchased the new one based on the advertised size, but it does not fit the phone. My Galaxy S9+ phones dimensions in the Otter defender case is: 3-1/2 wide, 6-3/4 tall, and 1/2 thick. The new Nite-ize pouch you sent me will not accommodate the phone in its Defender case as the depth is insufficient for the phone in it protective case.

I work in a plant and my phone fell off my belt. The belt clip on the old holster just slid over the belt and unfortunately would slide right off. When working on equipment it’s easy for me to rub up against something and unclip the holster from my belt.

I purchased one of these because of the hook shape at the bottom of the belt clip. It just doesn’t come off and I have used them for years. I ride a motorcycle too and have never had this Holster come off my belt.

It’s the only one I buy. Try it and you won’t regret it. I promise.

Upgraded my phone so needed to upgrade the carrying case as well. I’ve been using Nite Ize for years for my iPhones with excellent results. For my 13 pro max I wasn’t sure if it would fit with an Otterbox case on it so I chose the largest size, and it’s a great fit.

Secures well to my belts and the Velcro clasp works as I expect. It does have the ability to pivot to horizontal, but it’s a bit awkward for a case this large so I keep it vertical. Good value too.

Great quality. Holds large and medium phones. Stays on your belt. Feels like it protects well.

All I can say is that all the toughbuilt belt and accessories are made to last forever and the best thing in my opinion is that these are about in between and big named brands and good quality products but they are far the best out if all.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these or give my opinion to someone about these.

If like my self your a tradesman this product is a must. Its very well made and is designed with every day use in mind.It tough and yet its very practical but most of all it protects your phone.

It feels very strong and sturdy and makes for a great accessory for the lume cube or panels. Phone cameras are getting good but they really benefit from extra light so adding light like this really makes for better pictures from your phone.

The only issue I have is that it seems like this is made for standard sized phones and while it fits my iPhone XS Max, it is a little bit of a struggle to get it on and off which is the only reason for my one star reduction.

If you’re using a non “plus” or “max” sized phone and want to add some light to your cell phone pictures, this will be a 5/5 for you.

It’s no different than any other cheaper alternatives, but it has a huge flaw. The hole is too deep for some of the tripods and it’s loose when I attach it to quick release mount. I needed a washer to make sure it didn’t move.

That’s a nuisance. If I lose the washer on the go I’m stuck with the loose clip. I’ll be buying another brand.

Works as advertised. I recently purchased this to have decent lighting on business video calls and it was easy to use, charges quickly, mount works exactly as advertised on laptop, iPad and phone. Kit includes charging cord and two soft rubber filters, which are more practical than the fragile filters that come with most other lights.

Would buy again.

i have had this on my s10e for the entire contract life(minus 3 months left as of writing this) and honestly. its survived ALOT. i am a tradesman and a forgetful one. this case has protected my phone from drops.

flight tests(accidentally left my phone on the roof or hood of my truck and drove down the highway) and the only thing i have wrong with it(i am in active RMA for the case) is after the years of abuse the rubber shell is wearing around the dust covers and the outer textured layer is delamintaing from the main body of the rubber.

keep in mind it spent its entire life in the sun, dust, dirt, impacts etc) so its to be expected. it even took the ENTIRE 5 tons of force of my truck(fell out of my pocket and behind the tires when climbing into the truck) and my device is in perfect condition.

i HIGHLY reccomend this case. i mean veen after the YEARS of abuse its only gonna cost me 10 bucks to have them ship me a new one to replace and ensure my device lasts another several years. im 100% gonna keep surrounding my devices in DEFENDER line products.

I have been an OtterBox customer since the Samsung S3. I HAVE TO HAVE AN OTTERBOX! (I have had the S3, S5, S8 and now S10. And I have gotten my mom Otterboxes on the phones she has, currently a Defender Series for an LG 7 Thin Q).

Loved each Otterbox. They do exactly what they are made to do, protect your phone! I have to have the Defender Series because my phone will hit the floor at unexpected times and I have always broken regular phone cases, so investing in an Otterbox the Defender Series was my go-to because I was tired of wasting money replacing cases (I have only ever used the Defender Series of Otterbox so I can’t compare the other ones but I know this is made to be the toughest).

My phones have never been broken while in one of these cases, and when falling this thing has bounced before and is just fine. I have the “BIG SUR BLUE” and it is prettier than I imagined in person! It is a teal blue rubber and white plastic combo.

I love it. No complaints. This is the SCREEN-LESS version because of the curved edges of the phone screen. (I liked older versions with the built in screen protectors, but if you are careful and don’t take the factory screen protector off, you can actually put it in the Otterbox with that still on and not see it! BOOM! I just ordered a second Otterbox for my S10 after 12 months of use, because I pull mine in and out the clip so much I chipped the little plastic piece where the clip on the holster pops over (this has never happened before, but I am rough on my stuff and constantly taking it in and out the holster and probably not pulling on the tab as much as I should and so that probably wouldn’t have happened.

it was still holding my phone just fine, but I didn’t want to take any chances since I still have 12 months to pay on this phone and LOVE my S10, so just wanted to protect it!) The screen protector on my phone for the 1st 12 months was still completely intact.

So don’t need to waste money on buying one if you can TRY what I suggested! It was difficult for me to take the case apart to even get my phone inside, ha, that is how strong those tabs are, they were going to take off my fingernail before I could harm the Otterbox.

I got my phone in and it is beautiful. If you need the best protection, I suggest the Defender Series 100%. Rather a protected phone than a broken anything on my phone.

After 5 years, I had to purchase a new phone. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S10E. Having a great history using OtterBoxes on past phones, I went to their website to order an OtterBox and holster to protect my new phone.

The order process was easy and the items arrived within a week. However, that is where the problem started. Although the website shows the holster (#78-52191) to be for the Samsung Galaxy S10E, it does not fit the phone.

Not even close. I contacted customer service when they failed to listen to my description of the issue. Their answer was to send another #78-521-91 holster. Again, the item arrived very quickly, but the holster does not fit the phone.

I contacted customer service for the third time. Their answer, you guessed it, send me another holster that will not fit my phone. After trying to offer suggestions and numerous minutes on hold, I finally asked the rep to refund my money for the holster.

I agreed to return both holster if they took care of the postage. The FedEx postage label link I received was blank. So much for customer service. I guess I will buy some Chinese knock off product at a local phone store while OtterBox continues to advertise and sell an item that is mismatched with the phone.

Nice enough belt pouch; just don’t expect it to be crush-proof or bend-proof if you sit on it. The belt hook seems to be secure, and it also works on the waistband of some pants if there is a “fold-over” in the right place.

I like the horizontal case better than the vertical one because I can wear it in front and sit down comfortably without moving it around. I have a Google Pixel 3a with the stoutest protective case that Otter makes, which is 6.

5″x3. 2″x0. 6″ or 165mmx80mmx16mm. The size XXL case fits it with about 10mm to spare on length.

I have three SP connect phone cases: one for an Samsung S10E, one for Apple iPhone 8, and one for my brand new Samsung S22 Ultra. With a stem mount on my bicycle I was riding with my new Samsung phone connected and had a fall in which my phone was ejected from the holder and hit the concrete.

It hit a corner of the SP connect case and a large gouge went through the case and left the phone corner damaged quite a bit. I will never put a phone on a mount like this again when phones cost over $1k.

My phone will go in a sealed cargo pack with padding. I invested a lot in SP Connect and without a small accident I would have assumed I made the right decision. My “insurance policy” failed. At least my phone still works.

I’ve had an SP Connect case for about 6 different phones now, mostly all iPhones. Every case I’ve had has been exceptionally great until now. I just received the iPhone 12 Pro Max case. First off, the case was by itself, unwrapped, thrown into a padded envelope, with the kickstand in a small bag inside the envelope as well.

If i do recall correctly, all my other cases arrived in it’s own box that was inside the package. The case itself is extremely flimsy compared to all the previous models. The sides of the case where you would usually grab your phone actually bow out.

It’s not touching or grabbing the phone. When I grab my phone, I’m literally squeezing the case and “closing” it. The phone does not feel safe or secure in the case. I can pop the phone out of the case with so much ease I find it had to believe it would stay within it’s case when attached to my bike or car.

I’m very disappointed in the quality of the new cases. Maybe mine is a fluke? A bad batch? I usually love all the SP Connect products, but this one has me questioning how they would even release a product like this.

I have sent them an email regarding the issue, but as of right now, I cannot give the iPhone 12 Pro Max case 5 stars like I wanted to.

The thickness of the SP case prevents it from being able to charge an iPhone 13 mini on the SP chargers. I have 2 SP-connect chargers on 2 separate bikes. iPhone 8 Plus charges fine on both. iPhone 13 mini with case will not charge.

Removing the case and placing the bare iPhone 13 mini on the pad and it will charge. Your design was not tested? Now I have the choice of replacing your expensive but daft hardware or changing my phone.

Removed the padding from inside the cover to reduce separation distance. Did not work.

Generally, cases which clip onto a belt are problematic when heavy folks (like me) sit down. The clips either fail, don’t grip well enough or shift. NiteIze makes the only universal cases which don’t do so.

I have had over half a dozen for phones in the recent past and the clip always works, the phone stays undamaged, and the case does not dig into my side. They are not as pretty as some cases, but I will trade saving a smartphone for fashion statements, since smartphones are not cheap! My only two complaints are sizing can be difficult and the flap is Velcro (or something like it), I prefer magnetic catches.

Since my phones get “hybrid protectors”, normal cases don’t fit, these do.

Good protection, but, very difficult to get phone out of holster and incredibly difficult to remove holster from belt. It absolutely won’t fall off your belt like the Otter Box holsters do. You may have to get help to get it off without removing your belt.

This is a little heavier than my Bodyglove belt clip, but I don’t really notice it. I got tired of breaking the clip off of the Bodyglove. This will last a lot longer I’m sure. I like this better than the ballistic one.

It looks much nicer.

I love how this bag adds some extra glitz to an outfit. The top does not close as others have said but I plan on adding some velcro to see how it works (I am great at losing things). It’s only large enough for phone and a few cards, maybe a lipstick.

It’s very minimal and somewhat see-through so the less the better for clean lines. It is very attractive though, as the rhinestones are white sparkly over the black mesh (the photos don’t quite capture it).

This is a beautiful cross body small and dressy purse. It is light weight, easy to wear and has a lot of sparkly. It fit my large phone, ID and some money perfectly. Also, it can fold up into my larger purse if I need to take both to an event.

I can switch purses in my car or at the table if I go on the dance floor.

Alles noch ein wenig stramm aber das wird sich geben. Ganz schöner Klotz am Gürtel, hoffe das die Schlaufen das mitmachen. Die Scheintasche sollte man wirklich nur mit Scheinen oder Karten bestücken da der Reisverschluss und ais Fach wirklich sehr eng ist.

Das wird bestimmt nicht die letzte Tasche von Matador sein.

I love the fact that it comes with two interchangeable straps. One black with stars the other with black chains and a black strap. I would have liked the white neoprene bag to have a bit more black trim, perhaps on the sides to carry thru the black and white theme.

The one real complaint I have is how there is a linear, yellow stain that will not come off with soap and water just above the outside pocket. The stain runs the whole length of the pocket. It appears to be some kind of stain from adhesive or another chemical used in manufacturing that stained the neoprene.

Kind of disappointing. Makes me feel a bit embarrassed to have others see it and think I have a dirty bag.

This is the second bag I purchased from Pink Dot. The first one I purchased from a retailer and even bought one for my daughter. They are lightweight and can hold a lot. The strap is perfect to wear as a cross-body.

These bags are even washable which comes in very handy. Even though my first one got an ink stain that I couldn’t remove (and in a very visible spot) I ordered my own second one from Pink Dot directly.

Love the olive color with the partial red strap. Will look fantastic with my coat. I am a young senior citizen and I know I will look very in style with this bag.

This bag was hard to find: lightweight, white, roomy enough for basics, easy to clean and stylish. The exterior is a glossy finish which was a surprise to me, but the style and function of the bag took precedence.

I do wish it came with a pure white strap rather than silver/gray, but again, to find a bag of this size and easy to carry weight/finish is difficult. It’s well constructed. I wish they had this in a less glossy finish and other colors as well.

The price is right too. They mailed this immediately–literally next day for domestic shipping.
