Thanks to Bzzagent, I received World’s Best Cat Litter Low Tracking & Dust Control, complimentary, in exchange for my honest review. The following opinions are 100% authentic and my own. So, I have one male cat, who just turned 1.
He’s instinctual and seems like the alpha male type. He’s friendly but very expressive with his feelings, emotions, and aggressions so it was fairly simple to understand his opinions about his new litter, which I think we’re indifferent.
He seemed just okay with it. After this experience with our first unscented litter, I think we both agree that we prefer scented litter, and strongly scented at that! We both really like The World’s Best Cat Litter brand and the litter quality is exceptional.
It clumps really really well and very quickly. I noticed a firm hold just 1 to 2 minutes after urination. Oppositely, Even the smaller chunks that did manage to escape, which weren’t many, were not terribly small and tidious, and still large enough where scooping was possible.
Since the litter was unscented, I could smell some odor but very mildly and this was sort of shocking because I would have thought odor would be constant and strong with unscented litter, so WBCL has some insanely awesome odor blockers regardless if scented or not.
Lastly, dust clouds were completely non-existent and post use trackage was at an all time low, thankfully so because my kitty boy typically produces litter crazed surroundings!.
I started fostering cats this year and have 6 kitties in my home. They do what kitties do and it’s a lot to clean up daily, so I am always looking for products that will help keep things more tidy. My preferred litter is the GREEN unscented type of World’s Best and this new orange litter was offered as a gwp of Orijen 12-lb food.
(Thank you!) At first the most noticeable difference is that the orange litter grains are 2-3x as large. I suppose their logic is that larger grains are heavier and less likely to get stuck on paws, but as anyone who’s stepped on a Lego knows, that’s not true, it just hurts more.
The litter in my post-surgery kitty’s crate has spread both in the 1-inch space between boxes and surrounding 1-ft radius outside the crate. For an animal that does not leave the crate, who is remarkably slow and deliberate when moving/digging, this spread is disappointingly unexpected.
Litter scent has a citrusy tinge after cats have peed, seemingly exacerbating pee odor, however more successful at masking poo odor. I agree with others that the clumping should be better. There is also a lot of pee-odor dust left in the box after scooping, a common flaw I’ve encountered in large-grain litters.
Reliably zero dust in the air as I pour new litter from the bag into the box, the reason I love World’s Best. When I click to Add Photo, it doesn’t show that pics are posted, so maybe I’ll try again later.
Overall I will not buy this orange litter, but I’d still use this instead of clay-based litter.
I am *always* on the hunt for a better cat litter, I mean ALWAYS. In the 16 years I have had my wonderful feline companion, I have shuffled between a dozen different brands, and lines within these brands, and can say with full confidence that I have yet to find one that truly made both me and my cat happy.
Now that my cat has entered his elderly years, he’s more likely to use the litter box without covering his waste and so it’s really important to have a brand that he’s not holding a grudge against. This littler, despite making some promising appeals on the packaging, is not that brand.
As I mentioned before, my cat is on the older side and he does not like pushing around things unless they contain catnip. This litter comes in larger chunks and weights considerably more than the lightweight options we generally go with.
The ‘quick clumping’ claim doesn’t work so well when the waste just sits on top of it. It was also harder to clean out since the chunks of unused litter didn’t quite filter through my current litter box shovel, which isn’t a problem for smaller grained solutions.
With no scent, there also wasn’t much odor control so now that I’m back in the office, I come home to a less appealing apartment at the end of the day. The one thing this litter has going for it is that because it’s too heavy for my cat’s liking, it stays put in the little box and therefore produces very little dust.
Otherwise, I can’t say that I cared much for it (which is a shame since there was a $5 off coupon attached to the bag) and will be sticking with a more fragrant, lightweight option in the future.
Up to 25% lighter than other scoopable cat litters but just as effective. Easy for your customers to lift, carry and pour. Unique clay blend absorbs odor causing enzymes. Premium clumping for easy scooping/disposal.
1. Pour to a depth of 3-4 inches. 2. Remove solids daily and dispose in trash. Add more litter as needed to maintain a depth of 3-4 inches. 3. At least once a month. Clean the litter box with mild detergent and warm water between litter changes. This is not a flushable product. Dispose of feces in trash and not in toilets, gutters or drains.
Unscented Natural Clay with Odor-Controlling Properties.
Notes: Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. We want to remind pregnant women and those with suppressed immune systems that a parasite found in cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Reviews From Real Customers
I’ve been trying to find an unscented, low/no dust litter that does not stick to the sides of the 3 plastic litter boxes in my house. I have tried every well known brand and one lesser known, but highly rated brand.
In each case, I would get great results for only 2 of the 3 issues I wanted to address. I had been reading great reviews for this litter, but none mentioned anything about it not sticking to the litter box.
In the past few days I’ve been mixing my first bucket of this litter with my existing brand and the results have been amazing! No dust, no artificial scent and no sticking to the boxes! And this is only as a mix with my existing litter, not even using it completely on it’s own! I’m so glad I decided to try this litter.
Not only does it give me the results I had hoped for, it is also reasonably priced and always in stock at the grocery store where I do my regular shopping.
We started using this several months ago as Tidy Cat went up too far in price, and started getting dustier. Also, other brands that say they are nearly, or totally, dust free are definitely not. This Cat’s Pride Triple Odor Guard actually IS dust free, no clouds or dust-ups that we can see at all.
It lasts a good while, is a little lighter weight, and clumps very well. This is also a better price than many others, and simply works better. This has become our only cat litter we’ll use, so hopefully they won’t price themselves out of sight like others have.
Also, the most recent jugs we bought said reformulated. but same quality. I hesitate when I see that, because, well, marketing. But, actually, notably, they DID actually improve it. Also also note that this particular litter doesn’t make us, or our 4 cats, sneezy.
One of the best litters I have ever used. Great for enclosed litter boxes. Should be used with a tracking mat to catch the small litter particles upon exit and if your cat is aggressive you may want to have a high walled box.
Its so soft that they love making sure everything is covered. Almost No smell at all, even right after making a deposit. (Note – Don’t expect great results if your cat doesn’t know how to cover his stuff well or you don’t regularly clean the litter box) The flushable version is excellent also.
Very easy to use. 4 stars only because the small particles will track if you don’t have a good mat.
Treat your cat to an upgrade with this Boxiecat All-Natural Premium Clumping Clay Cat Litter! Veterinarian recommended and winner of the Cat Fancy Editors’ Choice Award, Boxiecat premium quality litter makes a noticeable difference.
Hard Flat Top clumps form instantly on top, making it easy to scoop and keep the litter box ultra-clean and dry throughout use. By using an advanced dust suppression process, this cat litter is 99. 9% dust free, making it ideal for allergy sufferers.
Boxiecat’s Extra Strength formula stops odors before they start using the power of probiotics. Its advanced technology offers 100% natural solution for extra odor control, immediately tackling odors anytime waste is present.
This scent-free formula is perfect for odor producing cats, small spaces and heavy litter use and is the first cat litter designed to tackle increased odors due to a high protein diet. Because the cat litter stays so clean and forms smaller, tighter clumps, it is also 2x longer lasting.
It’s like a new bag after every scoop! Enjoy The Cleanest Litter Box Experience and say goodbye to scrapping the box, stinky odors and pesky dust clouds.
This litter has been a total game changer. I’m not supposed to mention all the competitors by name, but I will say that I’ve been scooping litter for multiple cats for over 40 years and have tried pretty much everything, and this BLOWS EVERYTHING ELSE AWAY, including its sister clay product by the same maker.
Although the gray pro bags of Boxie clump really well, I used to dread scooping the boxes because of the strain on my elbow and hand from sifting through that heavy clay. (I’m a musician, so I’m super careful with my hands.
) This litter CLUMPS EVEN BETTER than the pro edition of Boxie, to my utter amazement, but it’s LIGHT and EASY TO SIFT through. I’m sure the glow will wear off at some point but, after two weeks of using this, I actually still kind of enjoy scooping my 6 (!!!) litter boxes.
If I could include a shrug emoji here, I would. It’s just such a pleasure to have it be so freaking easy after years of struggle and to be able to leave my cats with fresh and clean smelling boxes. Some reviewers have commented on the smell.
I actually find THE MILD BARLEY SCENT MUCH MORE PLEASANT AND LESS PUNGENT than the clay pro edition. It also seems to me that my cats SPRAY against the litter box walls LESS FREQUENTLY with the barley than they did with the clay – it still happens occasionally but not nearly as often, and that also simplifies box cleaning dramatically.
Because the litter clumps so well, it does require a little more effort than the clay edition to detach the clumps from the sides or bottom of the box, but that’s a small price to pay for sifting through what really almost feels like air for the rest of the box.
You find those clumps super quickly and easily. Oh, and I forgot the whole reason I first bought it – it’s super light and easy to carry. Now that just feels like a bonus. After swapping out one box per day for the first three or four days, I swapped out the rest of my boxes, and that was the last time I’ll be carrying those heavy loads of clay around.
Hallelujah! Could not recommend this litter more highly unless it scooped itself. Have been blabbing to everyone I know about it and waiting all week to have the time to write a proper review at my computer rather than just 5-starring on my phone.
I was super excited about this litter (as excited as one gets at the prospect of minimizing the evidence of cat poo) when I ordered it and again when I poured it into the sparkling clean litter boxes.
The litter is fine, seems very soft for kitties’ feet, has very little fragrance, and is extremely low dust. I normally use Everclean Unscented, but I don’t care for the smell (it had a light fragrance to it) and I HATE how dusty it is.
Those are the two reasons I began my latest journey in search of a new litter. This Boxiecat litter is wonderfully easy to scoop. HOWEVER, it does not do well with odor control. Not as well as Everclean, at least.
I am very sad because I really love this litter in every other way. Please note that I live in an apartment, so it may have enough odor control if you don’t need to spend time in the same room as the litter boxes.
I clean their boxes about once a day. The odor is terrible for a while after and subsides to a low-key unpleasant after that.
i gotta admit, i laughed at this product when i first saw it on the shelf. i mean. probiotic CAT LITTER??? but then i googled it & the reviews seemed overall really good, so i thought I’d give it a shot.
i have two cats, one of whom is elderly and VERY particular about her litter, & I’ve been trying to find an unscented litter that a) actually clumped and 2) didn’t smell to high heaven. i put this litter in one litterbox & left the previous litter brand in the other litterbox.
(tidy cats 4 in 1, in case you’re curious. ) & then i let my cats choose! within 2 days they were both using the boxiecat litter exclusively. i liked how firmly it clumped & that it doesn’t smell at all even if i forget to scoop it for a few days.
YMMV depending on how. pungent. your cats are, but personally i have stopped laughing at the concept of probiotic cat litter. it also doesn’t seem to track any worse than tidy cats, so I’m content & have switched to this brand entirely! i go through it less quickly because it works to combat smells for so long, so even the comparatively higher price is not noticeable.
i would definitely recommend giving it a try! if you hate it, just return the remaining litter. it’s Target, they’ll take anything back. :p.

I recently adopted a very geriatric cat (19 y/o) and I had provided the lightweight clay litter that I have for all my cats. The transition was hard on her, and she got sick. That wasn’t unexpected, but then there was litter box avoidance, that didn’t happen before she got sick.
Since she might have associated the litter and the litter box with being sick, I decided to completely change both the boxes and the litter type. I tried this, and was skeptical of what the box said about long lasting and hard clumping.
I was wrong, and the box was right. She will sort of drill a hole in the litter when she urinates, and the wood clumps very hard around the area, but not to the litter box. So I scoop it up, and have to shake and bounce it around a bit to let the free flowing litter sift out and then remove the clump.
And the clump stays hard. And I don’t have to put in a 4″ layer of litter in the box either. So for two litter pans, I get several months out of a box. I decided to change another box to this litter, and one of my cats uses it to urinate in, and chooses the same spot each time.
So that box has a deeper layer, and each day I wind up removing about a baseball sized clump of litter, and it doesn’t break apart on shaking the scoop. And for her, I decided to see if she would accept the wood litter after discovering one of her back paws heavily encrusted with clay litter that she must have stepped on when it was wet.
If the cat should happen to urinate against the side, it will look gummy, but it scoops out cleanly. Yes, there is some tracking, but at least it is not crunchy if stepped upon, and there seems to be less adherence to my long haired cat that uses it to urinate in.
(I only have two cats who use that liter). The rest use the clay litter, although I intend to change several more to the Okocat litter. And it clearly is less dusty than the clay litter which is advertised as ‘dust free’.
So of the 7 litter boxes provided, three are with the Okocat litter. Since my geriatric cat had been declawed, I chose the soft litter variety. None of my other cats are declawed, nor would I ever do that.
But how many people seek to adopt a 19 y/o cat? So her stay at the shelter was short.
I have a real serious love/hate relationship with this litter. We have three cats and one of them has recently started having unacceptable bathroom habits for some reason. He has decided that he is going to pee and poop on the floor or on our hot tub cover.
Now this is outside of our home in our screen enclosure which is good but not something we want to put up with of course. We have two ridiculously expensive Litter Robots with clumping clay litter that he was using without problem until recently.
My wife found this litter on clearance at a local pet store and I decided to try to see if I could get our problem cat to use it. To my great pleasure and surprise, I found he liked it and started to regularly use a new litter box with this litter and not the hot tub or floor.
The other cats seem to like it too. So I have a new litter box outside in the screen enclosure but that will soon have to end as Florida’s rainy season and ultra humidity approaches. Now Litter Robot claims you can use this litter in their machine by limiting it to 7 1/2 cups and letting the waste sit for an hour and then manually cycling it.
Well it’s just not true and then why would I use a Litter Robot that way anyway? This litter will not easily go through the screen and you end up wasting half of it every time it cycles. Just not usable in the Litter Robot especially if you have more than one cat.
Also on the negative side, this stuff tracks everywhere. It makes a huge mess and you need to clean up constantly around the boxes. So we have a litter that my problem cat will use instead of urinating and defalcating in unacceptable places.
That’s a big big plus. The stuff makes a mess and can’t be used in the Litter Robot which are two big negatives. The premise is great and I appreciate the basic concept. It actually scoops pretty well keeping the urine intact and encasing the poop which is good.
It is also flushable and doesn’t smell bad which are both great assets. So what’s the final verdict? Well I’m not giving up I have been experimenting with different mixtures of 70% ococat and 30% regular clay litter to give him the attraction of the wood litter but adding just enough weight to pull the litter through the Litter Robot screen when it cycles.
So this could be the answer to all of my problems or this experiment may be a total bust. Hopefully this will help me come up with a solution. We will see.
I’m on my second 10lb box and I love this litter so much. I’ve tried Dr. Elsey’s, Arm&Hammer pine pellets (non-clumping), and some unscented non-clumping clay litter that the city shelter was using. Okocat is great in clumping, tracking is pretty much the same as other clumping clay litter (maybe travels a little further because it is lighter), odor control is on par with other wood litters, it’s lightweight, and above all, eco-friendly! Dr.
Elsey’s was great at clumping but each bag of litter seemed to weigh a ton and didn’t even last that long. Pine pellets are great in theory but when it comes to day-to-day operation, I hated the strong pine smell and I found out I actually preferred clumping litter.
Pine pellets tracked the least but they’re also the roughest on cat paws. My cat, Goose, had no objections to okocat when transitioning him from pine pellet and cleanup is straightforward. I sweep the tracked out litter 1-2x daily (because I like clean floors) and it’s just a 5 minute ordeal with a small dustpan.
Scooping 2x daily takes less than 2 min. I change the litter every 2-3 weeks, when I can see more sawdust in the litterbox than I like to see. A 10lb box will last me about 2-3 months (1 cat).

clean household Fresh News is 99% dust free and 100% non-allergenic. Less dust around the house leaves a cleaner litter box, a cleaner home, and a cleaner environment.
This is a great litter. I have a senior cat with 4 litter boxes. Her normal litter is being discontinued so I needed to find something else. She doesn’t like clay litters and her regular litter is also a recycled paper so I figured we’d try this.
In one of her boxes I mixed this with her regular litter and in one box I used only this litter to see if she would notice a difference, and her other 2 boxes were just the old litter incase she rejected this one.
She seems to prefer the box that is only the Fresh News litter! It contains odors as well, if not better than the old litter, and tracks less as well. The one difference is it’s a light color and it’s harder to tell the soiled litter from the non soiled litter.
My cat always does her business in the corner or edges of her box so the center is usually clean. That makes it easier to see where she went potty. The litter does puff up when it gets wet just not as much as her old one did.
Still, that’s a minor issue and over all, I would recommend this litter. The 25lb bag is about the same volume as the 30lb bag of her old litter and it’s a bit cheaper which is also a plus since she insists on having 4 boxes! The pellets seem to be a little softer even though they are a little bit bigger.
I got a free sample of Fresh News Non-Clumping Scented Paper Cat Litter. I couldn’t wait to try it out. I loved that the bag was resealable, not allowing the litter to spill out. At first I was worried our cats wouldn’t like it and anticipated an adjustment period.
It is very different from what we used before. However, they jumped right in! The litter pellets are soft and I believe that is why the cats took to it without issue. It definitely masked the ammonia scent of litter box cat urine after use.
However, it took a bit for our cats to learn to cover their “solids”. I did find the litter box needed cleaning and refilling more frequently, after each solid deposit. The urine smell did sneak up after a couple days so we needed to dispose of and refill the litter more frequently than with our other litter brand.
Overall I like the natural eco friendly nature of the product and would recommend it.
Why don’t you shred those humongous pellets? So that they in fact absorb stuff. This is by far the worst litter I’ve tried. But the 2nd star is for the concept. I support the idea of an environmentally friendly product.
But it doesn’t serve it’s purpose well. It should be a finer texture because it’s a challenge to sift through and having the cat poop sit on top of it is just unpleasant. It also doesn’t help with the urine smell around the litter box.
I’m actually quite confused what the company was trying to achieve. Are you supposed to wait until all the pellets are completely soaked in cats urine and then toss the whole thing out? I will wait until you shred the thing and then give it another try.
Maybe. I have 5 cats, only one used it, because he doesn’t really care what to use.

Firstly. WHY so much plastic? It takes up not even half the jug it comes in. And yes it is lighter litter? But TOO light. But has it’s good, AND bad I’m afraid. I have a love hate relationship going on with this (new to me) litter I’ve tried.
First off, the clean up/scooping is flawless. I save half the time scooping. And is great for hiding smells. That is the good stuff. The bad? It is TOO light. My cat is getting it EVERYWHERE around the apartment.
In her(Lily 3yo) fur, nails, paw beds. She even has it on mmy bed, it’s always on my feet. It really isn’t with the hassle. Maybe it’s just MY cat? I have never had a cat litter that she did this with.
But this is also my first time using a “lighter ” litter. So who knows?. And she is quite the clean cat. I so wanted to keep using this. But after a week. I can’t. I have no vacuum! ☺️.
Needed to buy cat litter just prior to camping. The store had only one jug of my favorite Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light Fragrance Free, and one of this clearly-labeled “New and Improved” Hypoallergenic Fresh and Light.
It was a dollar more, which I questioned, but I needed two jugs (one for home, one for camper). When we arrived at the campground, I opened this new and improved jug and began to pour. I immediately thought something was wrong.
This was like fine beach sand and the DUST was out of control. My first scoop with this new and improved litter was just horrifying. There were no clumps, only urine strips and it filtered all the way down to the bottom of the litter pan and left a huge amount of unscoopable crumbs.
NOT good! It also tracks horribly. There was over 25 feet between the box and our sleeping bags and by the second day there was a fair amount of litter on top of our sleeping bags. I love the Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light Fragrance Free and will continue to purchase and use that particular type of litter, as well as recommend it.
Huge thumbs down to this particular version of the Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light litter, however.
Great litter and would love to continue to purchase it, however it has doubled in price!! I cannot afford to spend 17 on 1 container of cat litter. Most other litters have only went up a dollar so I am having to purchase them.
Great litter just not a great price. I will give this litter a 5 star rating because it is very good litter but the price is outrageous.

While I really like this litter, I have grown to really hate the overly nauseating perfumed scent of it. I am frustrated beyond belief that they can’t come up with a litter like this that’s not scented so strongly.
Some of us have to have these in areas where we frequent often. It’s just too much! However, I can’t seem to find a litter that is truly is dust free like this and has the least amount of tracking like this litter.
]The Platinum Slide litter is the first litter I’ve found that has made scooping so much easier! I have two cats and one pees like she’s two cats, so all other clump litters, would just adhere to the bottom of the litter boxes.
It was a grueling back-hurting task to scoop two litter boxes because I had to basically jackhammer the clumps with the scooper and the clumps were ridiculously heavy. Some litters, the clumps would fall apart making scooping much harder.
The clumps with this litter are nowhere nearly as heavy and does not break apart. I also see very little tracking of this litter in the house which is an even bigger bonus! I was getting so sick and tired, not to mentioned grossed out, at having to remove cat litter from my bed and furniture constantly.
I was having to sweep every single day as well. I still sweep, but I don’t have to do so nearly as often and I rarely see a grain of cat litter in my bed. The litter is sand-like so I’m guessing it doesn’t get trapped in their little toe beans.
That same cat that pees like two cats, also has the most gawd-awful poops I’ve ever had the displeasure of smelling, and despite all the other cat litters saying it had odor control, this one comes the closest.
Now, I really dislike the perfumed scent of this litter, and normally tried to stay away from litter that had that gross perfumed scent, but I swear it is a trade off I am now able to overlook because it actually does the job.
I’m thinking the cats also like the feel of this litter because they cover their turds completely (which helps to eliminate the stench). Lastly, this is the only litter that has been true about not creating a dust cloud when you pour it or scoop.
So, besides the perfumed smell, this litter is one of the best I’ve ever tried. I’ve tried many different litters, from crystals to pellets, to wheat, this one is so far the best one.
So I was having issues with my cats’ litter cementing to the bottom of their litter box, I had tried so many brands. They both like to dig deep to the bottom so it was such a pain to scoop and I could never truly keep the box clean.
I switched to the Arm and Hammer Slide Multi-cat litter. It’s designed to ‘slide’ right out of the box. It’s the most amazing litter I’ve ever used. Their litter box has never stayed cleaner. It’s more like the texture of sand, I think it’s more pleasant on their paws, and I think the sand consistency makes it harder for them to dig deep as long as I keep it deep enough.
It clumps so good. Occasionally they will pee right on the side of the box so the clump will stick to the side of the box, but just a gentle nudge with the scoop and it pops right off. I’ve also noticed they don’t track this litter as much although sometimes they go crazy digging and fling a bunch out of the box.
The directions say for best results start with a new litter box, which I did and it’s been really great. This litter has the least dust I have ever seen. I also like that it doesn’t have a super strong perfume scent like some litters, it’s just a light scent, but it’s really good at eliminating odors, I rarely notice any unpleasant odors.
To start off, I HATE clay litters, and was super reluctant to give any of them another chance. My ultra sensitive-paws senior male has been using strictly the A&H Naturals litter (I think it’s pine? Or corn?) for at least 6 years now, has refused all others and I don’t mind at all because it controls his odors very well.
But I’ve had a revolving door of litters in my house this year. out of desperation to get my newly adopted female to use her own box & stop pooping IN FRONT OF HIS (eye roll). LOW AND BEHOLD WE HAVE A WINNER.
It’s a finer grain, like the Naturals (but clay obviously), so it does track but honestly show me a litter that truly “doesn’t track” and I’ll show you a liar. Anyway, now my male even likes it enough to occasionally visit my female’s box.
I choose this one over Tidy Cats & Fresh Step because wet or cemented clay stuck to the box is something I cannot live with, and this actually lives up to the “slide” hype as long as you’re cleaning at least every few days or weekly.
Odor control is about the same as any other big brand (not quite as effective as A&H Naturals), and I still find myself dumping the whole box before the week is over. That said, would love to see a price drop on this one since I’m now buying so often.
The world’s first rapidly renewable cat litter. Original formula sWheat Scoop is a true original – the world’s first plant-based cat litter. It’s formulated from a proprietary blend of raw grains containing naturally occurring starches and enzymes that provide superior clumping power and odor control.
Because wheat is virtually dust free, ingestion and tracking are minimal, and clean-up is a breeze! Best of all, sWheat Scoop has a clean, natural wheat scent – no perfumes or chemical smells – making it a healthier choice for you and your cat.
Directions: (1) Fill a clean litter box with 3 inches of litter. (2) Scoop twice daily. (3) Refill to maintain a 3-inch level of litter goodness. (4) For optimal product performance, keep unused litter in sealed bag or container and store in a cool, dry place. Switching Your Cat sWheat Scoop in 2 Easy Steps: (1) Fill your empty litter box with 3 inches of sWheat Scoop, and pour 1 inch of your current brand on top (It’s okay if your cat mixes the litter. sWheat Scoop plays nice with others). (2) Repeat this process when you change the litter, but only add a half-inch of the other brand. How simple is that? As with any litter, veterinarians recommend changing the litter box completely at least once a month. Entire contents should be dispose of in the trash, not the toilet. sWheat Scoop does not recommend flushing the litter into a sump pump hole that has to pump the litter uphill.
Wheat and Other Grains.
Toxoplasmosis Information: As you would with any litter, always wash hands thoroughly after scooping or litter box cleaning. Because cat feces can transmit parasites that cause toxoplasmosis, pregnant women and people with suppressed immune systems should avoid any litter box maintenance. California Residents: According to CA Law AB 2485, encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box, or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces, is beneficial to overall water quality. Please do not flush cat litter down toilets or dispose of it outdoors in gutters or storm drains.

This is amazing! If you don’t like the “chalk scent” of clay cat litter/clumping litter, or the way the smell of cat litter is present despite your best cleaning efforts, try this product. It started when my lil man (cat) developed allergies.
I thought the dust was bothering him. So I tried alternative litter. I had no idea how much the wheat alternative (versus corn) completely changed our whole environment. The ammonia smell of the urine alone takes on a less ‘nose hair curling’ odor.
In fact, there is no intrusive odor at all, given the fact that no one even knows we have cats until they are seen. Nor is there the barnyard smell of corn. Sorry, I was a farm girl, so I know what I’m talking about, and maybe there are some that like that smell, that’s awesome! (I actually have my business in my home so it’s important to me that my clients not be subjected to anything offensive.
)The cleaning of the box is actually pleasant due to the elimination, or fair to say, softened impact of ammonia on the senses. I have allergies myself and the scooping of litter no longer offends the nose and lungs.
And let’s not forget to mention the reduction of dust in the house! Love this product, never going back to traditional litter! Side note: though my lil man other issues, I am convinced this has lessened his symptoms regardless.
This is absolutely the worst cat litter I have ever used. I had been using pretty litter for years and loved it however their shipping options became too complicated. I figured I’d try a new litter I could purchase locally as needed.
This litter came suggested as one of the better natural ones so I grabbed a bag to try. I used it for 3 months and during that time, I had noticed the smell of cat urine in my home had gotten quite awful.
I had just added a new kitty to our home and had thought maybe it was the new kitty or my older cat rebelling. Eventually after assuming one or both of my kitties had to be peeing somewhere around the house, as the smell was soo strong.
I purchased a black light and found no pee anywhere. I was stumped, as again the smell was soo very strong around the whole house. It finally dawned on me the only thing I changed in thr past 3 months was the litter.
I quickly purchased a different litter from the store and tossed all of this wheat litter out. Within hours of it being out of their litter boxes and my home, the smell quickly begun to go away. Now 2 days later, my home no longer smells of cat urine.
In summary. While the litter was ok for clumping, the odor control was almost odor creating and amplifying. How anyone uses this litter in their home is beyond me.
I’d been using grass seed litter and decided to try this similar product, so this is a comparison between the two. This litter’s particle size is slightly bigger, and seems a bit less dusty/ tracking prone than when I was using the grass seed only.
Everything was going just fine when transitioning to this one, but since emptying the litter box that was a mix of both litters and using just this, the issue of clumping became apparent. Grass seed litter clumps way better than this stuff.
This wheat based litter’s pee clumps break up practically as soon as you touch them with the scoop. This means it takes way longer to scoop because you end up having to use the corner of the scoop to fish out tiny bits that would otherwise remain mixed in and no doubt stink up the box.
I’ll be getting some grass seed litter again and mixing them until the bag I have is done. If you’re set on trying sWheat scoop, I suggest getting the multicat version that claims to clump twice as strong.

I tried this litter after a friend recommended it; I had been using Precious Cat litter for ten years and was getting very frustrated at how dusty and inefficient at odor control it had become. I have an asthmatic cat, and the little clouds of dust I would get while dumping litter in the box or scooping were bad news for him! I have to say I was really surprised that Free and Clean worked so well, because in my mind grocery store litter is associated with that awful ammonia smell, the old lady with too many cats smell.
It was actually quite the opposite: It is extremely low dust, nothing while pouring it in, nothing while scooping. The only time I start seeing dust is several weeks in, when it’s time to empty the box completely and wash it.
I have two large litter boxes and several cats in a two bedroom apartment and there is now ZERO smell from the boxes, even right after the cats go number 2. You would never guess cats lived here. Until you see the litter all over the floor, that is.
Yes, that’s the trade-off: the litter is super low dust, scoops very easily (no more chiseling off concrete blocks of pee stuck to the box, yay), has superb odor control BUT it tracks EVERYWHERE. And when I say everywhere, I mean all over every piece of furniture, all over the floor two rooms over, all over your bed, etc.
It also sticks very easily to fluffy longhaired cat butts. For me, the lack of smell and the absence of dust more than compensate for the constant sweeping I have to do, but if that drives you nuts that may not be the right product for you.
It’s also pretty pricey, and the packaging is so much plastic, I am not fond of it. But in the end until I find better, I am sold on this one!.
I tried this litter before I had covered litter boxes and didn’t love it because of its light weight it tracked all over the floor, however since I have switched to covered boxes it doesn’t seem to be an issue.
I will say that the clumping with this litter is much better and does not fall apart when trying to scoop it like the heavy litter. The light weight makes all of the scooping seem easier because there is less resistance and the “crumbs” that fall back in from the clumps that you seem to keep re-scooping with traditional litter are non existent with light weight, making it an overall quicker, more pleasant experience that has led to less procrastination and dread.
I’ve actually been more consistent with keeping up with scooping which is definitely a win. It does cost more but in my opinion worth it and it does lower the price if you buy the large container, something I never did before because the weight made it unmanageable, but not an issue with the light weight.
I definitely recommend that you use it with a covered litter box to reduce the spread from kicking and scratching. It does fling further than regular litter. I have found that covered litter boxes are not as aggravating if you remove the whole top and scoop.
I also think this brand/type has less dust than all the litters I’ve tried and I’ve tried a lot.
I gave this 2 stars because it is probably as good as most lightweight litters. I have 6 cats and transitioned to this from pine pellet litter, due to arthritis, the light weight and no need to sift pellets.
I thought this would be easier, but it was not at all! The first thing noticed was the PROFOUND scent for this type. I thought I had bought before and that it was lightly scented or no scent, but I was mistaken.
I had to buy the unscented kind and mix with it. The second thing I hated about this product was that within a couple of hours the entire room was coated as if someone threw sand everywhere from the tracking.
There was also a terrible coat of dust on everything. I clean and sweep this room daily, as well as scooping usually twice a day. I am used to clean floors and furniture in the room the cats use for the litter boxes, but this was impossible with this litter.
I just had to wait until this was all gone and do a thorough cleaning. Lastly, once used, this litter is no longer light weight at all. I am back to the pine pellets, but replacing every couple of days rather than sifting the pellets.
This is so much better for us. Poo does stink, but I scoop that and wa-la, I sweep up a few pellets and clean and happy! This was a large chore and extra expense that we did not need right now – lesson learned.
This quality product combines functionality and outstanding odor control to provide you with a powerful and effective formula. Ideal for a home with two or more cats, this 15 lbs of clumping cat litter is an excellent price for quality cat litter on a budget.
It uses a special formula that makes cleanup quick and easy, saving you valuable time and effort. Safe for pets, people and the planet, this dust-free cat litter is lightweight and easy to dispose of.
Why settle? Switching is easy! 1: Transition Slowly: Start with only a third of World’s Best Cat Litter added to a clean box of your current litter. Then, once your cat is more familiar with it, change to two-thirds. After that, use only World’s Best Cat Litter. 2: Pick a Good Location: Provide at least one litter box per cat. Place the box in a quiet place that can be easily accessed and is away from the cat’s food and water dishes. 3: Keep It Clean: For best results, scoop clumps daily and maintain a depth of 2-3 inches of World’s Best Cat Litter.
Caution: Pregnant, nursing or immune-suppressed persons should use good cleanliness and safety practices when handling solid litter or pet waste. Cat feces can transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Consult your physician for more information. If your cat refuses to use the litter box, consult your veterinarian. World’s Best Cat Litter should be stored in a sealed bag or bin in an area that is cool, clean and dry. World’s Best Cat Litter should not be used as a traction aid on ice or snow. As with any litter product, if your cat shows an adverse reaction or begins to eat the litter repeatedly, please discontinue use immeidately.

First of all this litter does the main thing I want it to do, which is to not track. The only time there is substantial litter off the mat or out of the box is if my cat gets scared/excited and runs out.
Also the option to flush this litter is awesome, I haven’t had any issues for the 3 weeks I’ve been using it other then needing to flush twice a couple times. However there are some major drawbacks to this litter, first of all it has a particular odor, I wouldn’t say it’s a bad smell, but it isn’t a good one.
Which leads me to it’s ability to cover up smells, or lack of in this case. If my cat poops depending on the size of the movement, I have to empty the litter box to not get overwhelmed (the litterbox is in the bathroom attached to my room) as the two smells fight each other.
This is also a very dusty litter, my solid black cat comes out with tan paws every time he uses the litter box. The last thing I would like to mention is my cat seems to like to occasionally take a couple nibbles of this litter, as it’s made of corn and breaks a part if ample water is applied to it (the flushable feature) I haven’t really tried that hard to stop him and it hasn’t seemed to bug him, but it is worth mentioning.
The last negative I will say is it’s price and claim that it lasts twice as long as other litters, I got an 8 pound bag and have just dumped the last of it in the litter box right around the 3 week mark which I expect to last a little over a week as it was a small amount mixed with the old litter.
To summarize it does do what I want it to do but it has far too many draw backs for me to justify spending double of what regular litter cost to purchase this specific brand.
I purchased the RED bag of unsented litter for multiple cats during a half off promotion because I’m always willing to try new and safer stuff. It is amazing! Now I’m stuck paying more for litter because I’m never going back to the other cheaper litter (that I used to think I liked.
) I switched to the corn based litter (Litter Maid corn cob then Nature’s Miracle) a couple years ago because it is healthier than the Scoop Away clay litter I used previously. The other corn litters had less dust then clay and was “healthier” dust.
It didn’t clump as tightly as the clay litter so I had to chase little stragglers but it was healthier and affordable so I kept using it. Then came World’s Best Multiple Cat Unscented. There is no dust and clumps super tight.
There are no stragglers to chase. The previously used corn litters would turn a darker color after a few weeks and it would smell from urine that was escaping the clump, thus needing to be dumped and completely refilled.
I just saw this as “normal. ” Now with the World’s Best scooping is a dream. I find myself scooping every time I walk by/see a clump because it is so easy. My girls like to pee in the corners and this litter slides out of the corner nicely and whole.
I have had the same litter in the boxes for almost a month and there is absolutely no smell, no darkening of the litter. I don’t like that this litter is double what I use to pay for the others but in the long run it may even out because there is absolutely no waste.
I honestly don’t think I will ever have to dump litter, just scoop and refill as it gets low. I rescued a litter of four in August and got attached so they are still with me. So I now have 6 cats. I am a super clean, odor sensitive person so having a great litter matters.
This truely is the world’s best litter that cuts my scooping time in half!.
Pros and cons of this litter PROS: – flushable, very convienient – does seem to be lasting longer than other litters – tracks significantly less, seeing a lot less litter throughout my place. It seems like tidy cats would get stuck to the bottom of their paws and would fall off as they walked and track throughout my apartment.
This barely tracks outside of the bathroom where their litter box is which is a huge plus. Honestly it seems like the “tracking” is just when they accidentally kicked some out or get the zoomies and sprint out of the litter box.
CONS – i dont know who’s saying it doesn’t have a scent. it absolutely does as it comes out of the bag and it smells weird, can’t put my finger on what but I don’t like it. Tidy cats unscented had 0 scent and was so neutral.
– It does not completely mask the urine smell. I clean my litter between every day and every other day. If i wait a day in between a bad smell fuses between the cat pee + weird smell of the litter. never had this kind of issue with tidy cats.
– absolutely not “dust free” If you have black cats you’ll see this on their paws. I stuck my hand in this when i first got it and a film of sawdust like material covered my hand. i know this is natural and made from corn, but i don’t know how they chemically processed this and makes me uncomfortable that my cats are licking the dust off their paws when they clean.
Super-Absorbent Formula. Faster clumping means easier scooping. Made from 100% natural walnut shell Naturally Fresh Quick-Clumping Cat Litter produces tight clumps in as little as 15 minutes – and doesn’t stick to the litter box.
This super-absorbent formula works best for pet parents of one or two cats and provides superior odor control absorbs three times better than clay litter and is virtually dust-free. Plus Naturally Fresh is toxin-free and 100% biodegradable which means it’s safe for you your cat kid and the environment.
I love the Breeze system. After years of misery and somuchmoneyspent with all other gross litter systems that I tried, it’s the best. And now I think I may have found the best possible litter for the Breeze in my 3-cat household.
Pros: The walnut pellets are perfectly sized to use for the Breeze scoop. The odor control is a bit better for these than the Breeze pellets. My 3 kitties (ages 1. 5-ish, 7 months-ish, and baby-ish) all adjusted smoothly without complaint and they actually seem to enjoy this litter.
They don’t get stuck in the Breeze grates like the Breeze pellets can sometimes do if they break. The pellets allow the urine to go through the grates effectively to the Breeze pads below and don’t seem to hold urine odors.
They don’t really break down like pine pellets– there’s just a fine sheen of dust on the pee pads when I change those, which is no biggie. There is no dust near my boxes, so the litter seems quite good for respiratory systems– mine and the cats.
The walnut pellets don’t track– just toss the occasional stray pellet back into the box and you’re good to go. And they’re wayyyy cheaper than the Breeze pellets, so it’s nice to be able to fill the box up more, which is nice for the cats for digging purposes as well as odor control for feces.
I also found this litter to be friendlier for diarrhea than the Breeze pellets, which would kind of get ruined by diarrhea. Because I have to tell you, my cats do love to get diarrhea and ruin a nice freshly changed box.
Don’t worry, the vet and I are working on it. Cons: No serious gripes at all. I guess the dark color does make the feces a little harder to locate, but come on. If you have an extra 5 seconds to sift through the litter and look for lumps a few times per day that’s more than enough.
I bought the SoPhresh XL sifting litter box to use this litter because it is best used as a sifting litter. I’ve watched lots of YouTube reviews on this particular litter and that is the consensus. It does clump but takes a little longer to firm up.
It does sometimes get stuck in the slots of the sifting ban but it’s an easy fix if you use a litter spade and not a square litter scoop. A litter spade is just a scoop shaped like a gardening spade – it pokes the litter right thru.
Also you’ll want to make sure you pour more into the litterbox to avoid litter clumping beneath the sifting pan. I can say though when that happens i just pat the bottom of the pan and it pops right off – it’s extremely non-stick which is nice.
I do sift twice when I clean the litter boxes and I love how easy it is to just wipe it clean. I started using this litter with two other litter boxes that were smelly and needed to be washed and once I set the Naturally Fresh litter out with the other boxes it eliminated ALL the odors from the the old clay litter without me even scooping or cleaning those boxes first!!! I have since bought another new sifting box and bag of this litter.
I do still give my cats the option to use the clay litter just to give them transition time. There is minimal dust when sifting. They do kick it out of the litter box but I just bought a giant $12 indoor/outdoor rug that brown so you can see it and then just vacuum whenever I sift.
I think I have very flexible kittens, given some of the comments and posts I read on the internet. I did a lot of research before adopting about litter, and this one kept coming up. We had to transition them from the World’s Best clumping litter (which I found literally everywhere, all the time) to this walnut, pellet litter.
It only took one mix use box for about 2 weeks to transition, and they don’t seem to care at all. They use it, they don’t have accidents, they don’t avoid using the box. We use it in combination with the Iris top entry litter box.
Between the pellets, the top entry, and the mat (the microfiber mouse print one on Chewy), I do not find litter anywhere, ever. The smell containment is great. I know they recommend multiple boxes for multiple cats, but we have a v small apartment and we only have space for one.
It does sit next to a window exhaust fan, but I can only ever smell it when I am scooping out their solids, which I do every day/every two days. The reason I know this works so well is because when I went to empty it after 3 weeks (I didn’t read the instructions, which state a month lol) I was almost bowled over by the scent as it poured out of the box into my trashcan.
The fact that THAT was contained and I had no idea? Wow, wow, wow. Also: we used it post spay and neuter (since it’s dust free and pellets, like the Yesterday’s News) and had no issues.
This was easily one of our favorite litters. Low, low dust, litter is confined to a limited area outside the litter box and mat and little to no scent. We changed to two other litters this year when it seemed like the texture of the litter changed.
We noticed the different color of the litter from the past litter boxes and it “seemed” to clump. A month or so later, we determined it was one of our cats that was tracking it all over because he was losing his vision and not the litter.
We will be going back to the Platinum Cloud Control. It works and is relatively clean. Negatives, the box is heavy and needs to ship separately from other items because it crushes whatever its shipped with.
Also, you need a chain saw to cut the box down for trash days.
I’ve been using another brand of litter (Tidycats) for ages but their current product is very dusty. I hate cleaning and decided that I needed something better. I did some on-line research and found the 100% dust free A&H Cloud Control claim and decided to give it a try.
It’s a huge improvement! I see no dust at all when I’m cleaning the litter boxes or when the cats are using them. In addition, there’s only a tiny amount of litter tracked out of the boxes, which is also a major improvement (and I have to clean even less now).
Finally, the “litter box smell” is much, much less. The only negative is the scent – I don’t care for it. But this gripe is very minor because the scent is very subtle. As long as the product performs, I can live with it.
Bottom line – I love this stuff and highly recommend it.
I really loved this cat litter at first because of no dust and the fact that it seemed to clump well! However, after using it for awhile, I find that it does not clump as well as I thought, but the outer layers fall off the clumps when removing it from the litter box.
Also, it is extremely heavy to both carry into the house and to remove when it’s time to change the box. It’s also recommend to change the litter completely every week, that’s every seven days! It’s difficult to change the box every week, not to mention expensive! So for me, the heavy weight, clumps that don’t stay together, and the frequency with which one is supposed to change the litter is becoming too exhaustive and expensive to want to use this litter.
There are other litters that do not have dust that must be easier than Cloud Control. It’s a brilliant concept, but certainly not perfect.
Keep your home smelling fresh and clean with this Premium Choice Scoopable Litter. It’s made of a natural, highly absorbent clay with extra odor control added. The 50-lb bag of scoopable cat litter bonds together to feces and urine.
This lets you remove the entire clump of waste so that only the unaffected litter stays behind, helping to eliminate odors and the need for frequent changes. The Premium Choice Scoopable Litter is also 99 percent dust free.
I’m new to kitty care so I’ve been trying various litter brands. All of the 3 clay ones I’ve tried have been extremely dusty, and this one is no different. Maybe it’s slightly less dusty than others.
Besides that, I find no issues with odor and scoop-ability. You see how well the odor is kept at bay when scooping and uncovering the stinky treasures (poop still stinks when scooping, but when it’s hidden, you wouldn’t even be able to tell it’s there).
Pee may still seep down to the bottom of the litter box, but the litter does a good job at clumping it so there’s no soggy mess. The dust is my biggest complaint, and I hate having to wash my face and smell poopy-dust on my face.
If the litter box is in a large room, the dust will eventually stick everywhere lol I definitely recommend wearing a face mask and eye shield as this dust is definitely not healthy to breathe in. If you don’t mind these, this litter seems to work great.
I personally will be switching to an alternative litter that does not use clay.
Multi-cat household here, and we generally use a budget-friendly litter for all the babies since we use so much. Our normal litter that we purchased offline and in store just was not doing the trick anymore, so we gave this a try.
Yes, there is some dust to it – but that is to be expected from a more affordable clay litter. I will say that my main concern was clumping, so we could keep a fresh box, and for a cost-effective litter this has done really great especially with the urine clumps.
Our other brand was often getting stuck and crumbling and we would have to change it so much due to that. I think this Premium Choice litter, used in combination with a litter box deodorizer, does the trick to help your pockets.
I especially think, with past career in animal sheltering, that for a place desperately in need of litter this would be a great donation because you could afford to give 2 bags for the price of 1 box with more volume.
I used to use the clumping litter from Aldi. But, it is VERY dusty so I decided to see what was available on Chewy. I ordered 4 different brands of clumping litter–Tidy Cat, Scoop Away, Arm & Hammer, and this one.
I did not detect much difference between them. The Tidy Cat seemed to stick more to the bottom of the litter box making it more difficult to scoop which is the same problem I had with the Aldi littler.
Since this Premium Choice brand is the cheapest, it is the winner. Some reveiewers say it’s dusty, but I have not found it to be dusty at all. Certainly not like the Aldi litter. The bags are heavy, though which is the only downside.
I have to drag them down the steps to the basement, but hey, it’s exercise, right? For price and quality, I highly recommend this brand.
Ultra Scented contains a moisture release fresh scent. There is no scent until after the litter is used. Key Benefits All-natural litter Moisture release fresh scent 99. 9% dust free Hard Clumping Multi-cat formula Superior odor control Ideal for sifting/mechanical litter boxes Please note: some products are changing from bags to boxes.
You may receive either packaging until the transition is complete, but rest assured that you are receiving the same great litter!.
I recently bought this after looking at many reviews in search of a more inexpensive litter that offers larger sizes after I recently adopted another cat – making that two cats total in my small apartment.
My favorite thing is the low tracking – I mean it’s incredible how low it tracks after my cats get off the mat outside their litter box. It’s clumps pretty well – there is always one or two clumps that slightly stick but they come off incredibly easy with barely any effort at all, so another great perk.
The biggest issues I have is the odor control. When one of my cats use their litter box – the scent of their scat is intense and rife through the apartment. They both bury their feces as deep as they can right away so it’s not like it’s just sitting there.
But after burying – it reeks so bad it’s like the litter intensified the smell and it LASTS – the litter almost acts as one of those wall plugs – making sure the scent lasts longer and really gives a large scent throw like an incredibly good quality candle but a candle that smells somehow worse than usual cat fecal matter.
It’s horrible. After an hour or two the scent finally stops and for the first three days when the scent is no longer intensified it’s pretty decent. But by the fourth day, after freshly scooping the litter – there is a certain scent to it that lingers.
The litter box smells awful constantly and the scent sneaks it’s way into corners of my apartment, leading me to change the entire litter box more often than I’ve ever had to with any other brand. Scooping simply does not suffice for long at all, leaving me to ordering more litter more often.
I don’t know how to describe this odor. It’s just awful. And is everywhere, even after changing the litter it lingers for a day. It’s horrific. So now I’m in search of a new unscented litter for my two cats.
So this is the first litter I have used as I have just recently adopted a cat. I purchased this brand after reading several reviews and suggestions, the general consensus seemed to be that clay litter was the best overall so I decided to give that a try seeing as it’s the “standard” for cat litter.
Dr. Elsey’s seemed to be a highly recommended brand and based on the “99. 9% dust free claim” I purchased without much hesitation. Overall this is a good litter as far as clumping/tracking is concerned.
I wanted a litter that was unscented and I understand that animal waste is not going to smell like roses, generally there is no lingering smell unless the litter box has been used within the last 10-15 minutes and I have mine in the mud room so I am not in range of the smell anyway.
If you want something that is going to trap the smell immediately I don’t think this will work well for you. However, I am disappointed in the amount of dust this litter creates. It kicks up quite a bit when I clean it and I imagine it does when my cat uses it as well.
My cat’s foster was using corn litter and since we adopted him (and he started using the clay litter) he seems to be sneezing a lot. His health is very important to me so I am obviously concerned. I’m not sure if there is a direct correlation but I think I will be switching to a different type of litter and seeing if the situation improves.

Have previously reviewed the Tidy Cat system (with 5 stars!) and wanted to update with these newer multi-cat pads. Firstly, i along with everyone else, was frustrated with the mysterious shortage (from the entire planet, it seemed!) of pads earlier this year.
I wanted to try these for my one once feral kitty and they do absorb more, in my opinion! Just want to add, the first time I used it, I was shocked to see a tray full o pee. While I smelled nothing, I realized I hadn’t made sure the pad was in smoothly–I believe it bunched up when the drawer/tray was closed.
They are perhaps a bit thicker than the regular pads and I just put it in as I always had the others. Have not had an issue since. I also turn the tray halfway thru the week since my kitty also goes in the same area of the box each time.
This pad has actually lasted over a week–found out accidentally one time. Anyway, they are a bit spendy, but the cheaper pads don’t work nearly as well for me or as long. Would be great and helpful if they weren’t so expensive; however, this Breeze system is sooo great, I don’t want to change.
Have been using for several years–no litter track on the floor, stuck to my feets or the cats! No litter track in the bed (barf!!!!) no smell when you walk in the house, no pee clumps. Ok this was going to be a short review for the new pads & I’ve veered off-topic.
While expensive, they do perform higher than the regular pad, so if you have more than one kitty using the box, a kitty that pees a lot or you want a bit more time on each pad with one regular kitty, it is worth trying out the 8 pad pack.
I’ve used these multi-cat strength pads for a couple years; however, it seems a “scent” has been added to these multi-cat pads that wasn’t previously present in the older version of these pads. These new multi-cat strength pads seem to give off a nauseating odor that unpleasantly attempts to mask the odor of cat urine.
Thinking that I may have mistakenly ordered a “scented” variety of the Breeze Multi-Cat strength pad, I reviewed my last order carefully and made note of the fact that I hadn’t ordered a “scented” version.
Then, I carefully read the online Chewy description for these multi-cat strength pads and it does say these pads are “lightly scented”. Ugh! While the pads are absorbent, due to the stench of the new scent that’s been added to the pads, I’ll never order these again.
Guess it’s back to using regular strength or finding an alternative “unscented” brand.
This is the best litter system I’ve ever used. Another mom recommended it to me many years ago and I haven’t looked back. There was a big delay with production recently where I had to use generic brands and it was really disappointing.
It’s so easy to clean up, the pellets last a long time and several months for one cat (for me) and these pads last several weeks for me as well. Once I start smelling cat urine I know it’s time to change.
I’ve tried other pads where you can smell you’re in the exact same day you put it in it seems or they don’t even fit the system. These are very absorbent. I would double bag your garbage when you put it in, though, because it can drip through and be really icky.
Even though these are quite spendy and it feels like a luxury it’s worth it to me as long as they don’t raise the prices too much since they are kind of high already.

Tidy Cats brand litter has always been my ‘go to’ litter. Sadly, my confidence in the brand has been greatly compromised by the last box of Tidy Cats Instant Action I purchased. I am now in search of a brand that delivers what is stated on the packaging and in the marketing.
My first complaint is that clearly, the formulation for this product changed and consumers were not notified. I’ve been using this formulation and others without significant issues for many, many years.
This latest box, however, stunned me. My second complaint is that this litter literally tracked EVERYWHERE in my house – three floors – and everything in my house has a layer of litter dust and kitty paw prints on it.
I keep litter boxes in the basement, as far away from the living spaces as possible and always have. I was absolutely astounded at how far the litter and dust traveled. Of greatest concern was the dust.
I was cleaning the litter box one day and noticed that my chest began to burn. Only after I finished cleaning the litter box and moved onto other things around the house did I realized that the burning had subsided.
I attributed the burning to the dust and have worn a mask since then when cleaning or filling the boxes I have no idea how this product / change in formulation made it to market. I will be cleaning up dust and litter for weeks to come, even though I’ve replaced the litter with another product.
It is no longer a good product. It used to be a great product, clumping very quickly and forming a very tight clump (regarding urine). Starting several months ago (June 2022 or earlier), something changed – it no longer clumps as tightly nor as quickly.
When you try to scoop up the urine, the clump breaks apart leaving small pieces – including pieces that pass through the scooper. Also, because it doesn’t clump as quickly, the urine can make its way to the bottom of the litter pan where it forms a sticky clump that is cumbersome to scrape out and remove.
Reviews of this product on the websites of the major “big box stores” are full of these same comments. While many people rate the product highly – many people are also complaining that the litter doesn’t clump as well or as quickly – exactly what we’ve experienced.
We placed a call to Purina’s customer service department and provided all the information they requested. The response was that “there has been no change to the product or its ingredients”. That being said, we stand by our statement and observations – “something” changed – and not for the better.
Considering the high price of this product, it is a big disappointment – and has forced us to try and find a better product. Too bad – this was a “10”, now it’s a “2”.
All of the bad reviews on this litter are people complaining that this NON CLUMPING litter. doesn’t clump. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO CLUMP THE PEE, THATS THE WHOLE POINT! it even says that on the product description! It absorbs it but doesn’t clump it.
Clumping litters have been known to cause intestinal blockages in cats because anything wet makes it clump, so when they clean the litter from their paws, it can get into their little digestive tracts and really mess them up and potentially kill them.
Seriously, look it up. Anyway, just came here to say that literally every single person on here who complained that this litter doesn’t clump clearly doesn’t understand what *non clumping* means. Seems pretty cut and dry to me, but I guess a lot of people don’t understand the meaning.
As for my actual review of the litter, it’s great, it does make a bit of a mess around the box, but that’s a small price to pay to sleep easy knowing that my cats litter isn’t going to potentially kill them.
Also, there are some great mats that you can put under or next to your litter box that act like litter magnets and fix that mess around the box problem all together. I hope all of you consider switching to non clumping litter, even if it’s not specifically this one.

I got this litter because my friend uses it, and thought it would be good to try. I just got the litter and the pads so I didn’t have to commit to the whole system. I like that it’s easier to clean up, and because I’m taking my kittens on adventures, we need a litter box in the car.
It’s easy to just clean the poop out as it happens, then just change the pad and the litter when it gets gross (about a week with the pad, 1-2 weeks for the litter, when two kitties are using part time for travel).
Pros are the reduced/little smell, not having to change the litter as often, and not having to deal with big messes (less likely to track out of the box, and easy enough to just throw it back in)—immensely helpful as it relates to a travel litter box.
The biggest con is that I really don’t want to have to buy an entirely new litter box just to use this litter—I already have enough boxes. It works okay with one of my sifting litter boxes, but it still falls through and gets stuck in the gaps—more so with the other sifting box.
I wish that they would sell a mat option that could be inserted into existing sifting litterboxes. I will probably eventually invest in the litterboxes, but they are super pricey, so that would have to be worked into the budget down the road.
I have 3 cats, 3 cats equals a minimum of 4 litter boxes. I have struggled with traditional, clumping litters for years. The smell was always awful and it made a huge mess. Even using a litter mat under the box I still had to sweep daily because my cats were tracking it everywhere! A friend recommended the Tidy Cat Breeze system to me about a year ago.
I replaced one of my litter boxes with it to give it a try. Holy cow! What a game changer! My cats love it and they don’t track these pellets around my house at all. Occasionally a couple of pellets will get knocked out of the box but they are easy to see and pick up.
I have replaced all of my litter boxes with these. It even replaced my Litter Robot 3 because this system works so much better and is easier to clean. I’m not sure how they would work in a traditional litter box because the pellets aren’t as absorbent as clumping litter but with the Breeze system there is an absorbent pad in a tray below so that’s not an issue.
These litter pellets also have almost no dust, they don’t bother my asthmatic son at all so now I have help cleaning the litter boxes. YAY, Breeze Litter Pellets!.
Please note that these pellets work as part of the Breeze litter system. The box has a slotted tray that gets filled with these pellets. Beneath the slotted tray is a solid tray with a pee pee pad. The urine passes right through these pellets onto the pad below.
The feces stay on the upper level. This system is so much cleaner than clay based systems. There are several pellets that escape the box daily. Easy to grab with a tissue and throw out. The old clay system left debris everywhere.
I will say that if you’re calculating a strict budget, calculate more than the description given. I find I have to change the pad twice weekly, not once and I have to use the 7lb bag of pellets, not the 3.
5lb, but then it lasts a week and a half. The other consideration is that this system is flawed if your cat develops diarrhea. In that event, the feces flows through the pellets and is very difficult to remove from the slots.
Overall, I still give the whole system/brand five stars. It’s a huge improvement over the old way.
An odor free home starts with ARM & HAMMER Super Scoop Clumping Litter with Ammonia Odor Block formula. It combines powerful baking soda crystals with ammonia odor neutralizers to eliminate the toughest odors on contact.
Great for fragrance sensitive cats and their owners. Provides rock-solid clumping for easy removal; 99% dust free and low- tracking.
Some people do not realize that the brand of litter is important but a good-quality, high-performance litter really does make a difference. I have used many different brands and types of litter so I was very, very happy to find the Arm and Hammer Multicat.
The hint of negative about this product is the heavy weight of it but I suppose it needs to be substantial to work so well. This product will cause debris to clump firmly, allowing me to easily scoop up and toss without residue.
The remainder of the litter stays so astoundingly clean and fresh that I can continue to use it for a very long time without changing out the whole pan. Yes, this is a big deal because my cats just give up on covering up if the litter will not stay fresh.
Some other litters maintain strong odors and leave stinky particles behind so my cats will just leave the box immediately and shake their paws as if they are saying ‘there’s no way I’m touch that dirty stuff.
‘ The rooms where we keep litter boxes stay fresh-smellin. We don’t need to sift and shake like Atlas if we use a good quality scoop of substantial weight. Those thin dollar-store scoops will just wear out my wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
So anyone who has trouble cleaning out a litter pan with this litter may want to upgrade the scoop. I confidently recommend this litter to both single and multicat households. I will not use any other type or brand as I could not be happier with the value and performance.
I bought six forty-pound boxes of Arm and Hammer Super Scoop, which proved to be a huge and expensive mistake. I feel horrible for forcing my kitties to put even a single paw into this smelly, dusty litter.
Each time I change the litter, I thoroughly wash the boxes with a mild dish soap and super hot water (you probably already know that this disinfects, without harmful chemicals and odors that irritate a cats sensitive nose).
So, I was unpleasantly surprised when I awoke to a litter-room that wreaked–and their litter room never smells. This litter had a strange pungent odor that permeated the large room. I immediately went back to the litter I’ve used for the last fifteen years–even though its become, like everything else in this pathetic economic climate, ridiculously expensive.
There is a lot to said for staying with what you know and trust. Arm and Hammer litter cannot be healthy for feline or human respiratory systems. For the love of your feline friends, I recommend avoiding this litter.
I actually bought this by mistake the first time I got it. But I was so impressed by it I’ve repurchased several times. I’m a big fan of Cat Whisperer Jackson Galaxy’s advice, so I’ve historically avoided heavily scented litter.
This litter is scented, but its performance is excellent. It clumps marvelously and is very low dust. The scent isn’t overpowering at all to my human nose, but just to be kind to my kitties, I usually mix 3 parts cheap fragrance free cheap litter to 1 part arm & hammer.
It’s enough to keep the benefits of clumping low dust. And it does smell nice! But mixing it like that lessens the fragrance for my cats’ sake. (Cat noses are more sensitive to smells than people noses.
) They have never had any issues with using their litter boxes, so they must be okay with it at least. I can’t quite speak to how it tracks, but this litter seems to track less than tidy cats. But then again, we have one of those fancy litter catching mats… Either way, great litter.
Excellent value. 40 lbs for less than $16? Most generics are $6-8 for 20 lbs so it’s a very good deal!.

Reviews From Real Customers
This little is great for odor control. My two kittens litter box is in a small guest bathroom and it actually smells good when you walk in. It does scatter a bit when they get out of the box and there is some tracking but only in the immediate area.
My huge complaint is with the dust this litter creates and the very heavy scented perfume of the deodorizer. I have a sensitive nose with a strong sense of smell and am very sensitive to perfume and can not stand the scent this litter gives off.
And the dust that is created when the litter is stirred up makes it so that the cats smell like the litter when they use it and I do as well when cleaning it. I have found that there is always some dust to be expected with clay litter but this litter seems to put out more than others I have tried.
Which is unfortunate because it really does well in all other areas. BUT if you do not mind the heavy scent then I would recommend it. Just not for me. On another note I would caution anyone reading this review on the validity of other reviews on Chewy.
I have done a lot of research since getting cats on various products and it seems as though Chewy has a big problem with bot reviewers – aka fake reviews that companies put out to make their product get a higher rating and therefore get more sales.
Chewy should really look into this and find a resolution because it is a very shady way to do business and I could never trust a company who generates their own fake reviews.
There really isn’t anything to complain about regarding this litter. It clumps quickly, and the clumps don’t fall apart when scooping, unless they’re super fresh. (The longer the clump has had to dry the better.
) I do not smell any cat urine or feces at ALL. There is very little dust to complain about. there is some, but not like I’ve experienced with other unacceptable litters. The tracking is tolerable with a top-entry box combined with a honeycomb mat.
The 4 resealable packs are super convenient. The fragrance is “Fresh”, similar to a dryer sheet. The kitties smell like the fragranced litter sometimes. I’ve been using this litter for 2 cats for about 2 weeks and I recommend it.
However, I haven’t tried a great many other brands of clumping litter; I’ve mostly used crystal-type litter. I prefer this, for 2 cats. The only think I miss regarding crystal litter is the dehydrated poo was easier to scoop; I have to be careful when scooping so I don’t get the scoop grossly dirty.
I plan to try other brands just to see what else is out there, but this will be one I’ll keep in mind to return to if the others fail.
I have been using this cat litter for well over a decade. This brand is all our family has ever used and weve never had an issue with it and it worked great up until recently. I think when they changed the packaging from one big bag to 4 smaller ones, they must have changed the formula too because now this is the worst litter i can even imagine.
My cat has been having horrible allergies, sneezing, wheezing, and a whistling nose, and she struggles to breathe after using her box from the dust and maybe the fragrance too? And it does not clump AT ALL anymore!! Whats the point of having a clumping litter that does not even clump? Along with that, i feel like the purpose of all of this fragrance is lost because it isnt clumping and catching the pee smell, so her litter box REEKS now! Allllll of this started when the packaging of this brand changed.
Whatever they did to it, ruined the litter and now i have to shop around for litter for the first time in like 12 years and dont even know where to begin because i have been so faithful to this brand! Im so sad but i have to so what is best for my cat.
There are many types of cat litters on the market that claim to offer odor control and dust free properties. However, not all of these products live up to their claims. Some cat litters can actually make odors worse and create a dusty environment.
The best way to find a cat litter that will control odors and be dust free is to read reviews from other pet owners. You can also talk to your veterinarian for recommendations. Once you find a few litters that have good reviews, you can then compare prices and choose the one that fits your budget.
