20 Best Cat Litter For Not Sticking To Paws (2023 Updated)

I really wanted to like this product because it would help me keep tabs on my kitties’ health, but it was so dusty. That was my biggest issue with it. Every time I scooped it, it left a haze of dust in the air that lingered for way too long.

I tried using a misting bottle with water in it to maybe drop the dust out of the air with the water, no go. The fist time I scooped it I thought, “maybe it will only do this the first time. ” Nope, it was every time.

On top of the dust (which looked like fog that filled the small room I keep the litter box in, the whole way to the ceiling, the room is 10’8″x9′) the odor control was not as good as my previous litter.

I used a clumping wood litter, and will be switching back despite the fact that it tracks through my house like crazy. The price of the 16. 4lb box of my old brand is slightly cheaper than the 6lb bag of the Alpha Paw Genius Litter and lasts a little over a month with me fully dumping the litter box every 3 weeks or so and the box has enough litter to fill the box twice.

I have 2 cats, both indoors all the time. The Genius paws hit about 2 weeks and started to have an ammonia smell from the cat pee, and within days it was obnoxious, even after I had extra scooped it, scooping out most of the litter that was wet and not just the poop.

I dumped the whole box the same day and was glad I had enough of my old litter left from before switching to fill the box. After I dumped the Genius litter, the litter box reeked of cat pee so badly that I soaked it for 15 minutes then cleaned it, then put baking soda in the bottom because it still smelled horrid, before putting the other brand in.

Note: my sense of smell is poorer than most people, and this smell was overwhelming for me. I would have to buy 2 bags of the Alpha Paw per month to have adequate odor control for my two cats, and figure out how to deal with the dust.

There are only 2 things this litter has going for it: the color changes for cat health and that it doesn’t track very much. I have decided to keep a bag of it on hand, just to put maybe a one inch layer over my normal litter once a month for a small health-check, but it isn’t worth it for me to switch.

sadly since my pinky has developed kidney problems, i thought i should buy this litter to verify my initial concerns. the litter was normal at first, and the next use it was blue. after confirming with my vet – she has kidney troubles.

a few weeks into using the litter, i noticed that she had also developed pica – and was eating her litter! silica gel is horrible for cats to ingest! and im grateful that it confirmed my suspicions about her kidneys – but horrified that she was eating this.

so i immediately got rid of it and had to switch back to the paper litter – as its not as harmful if she eats it. otherwise, it was a good litter.

Great for our cats health and ours AND the environment! Works very well with order control. DOESN’T clump up in my cats paws that’s a big deal because not only is she not tracking it around my house but also she isnt having to ingest it from cleaning her paws.

I find with your average name brand litters cause alot of constipation for cats during to cleaning of their paws. I have been using Fresh Pine for many years now, I will never go back to normal litter again.

5 star product forsure and there not paying me to say this. I wish more stores carried this product so more people were aware of what a great product it is. My husband is NOT a cat person but inherited one when we got together, his biggest problem had always been that he doesn’t want the house to smell like a little box.

“well duh who does” I found Feline Fesh Pine Cat Litter and we haven’t fought about the smell of my cats litter box since. His problem was that if my cat hadn’t even used the box the house still had the smell of cat litter.

Seems to be a glitch with my app, but I’m trying to give this stuff give stars. This is all we use for our 13 year old cat. I’ve tried that other pine cat litter, but there’s something in it that irritates her.

just in case you’re lazy like me, I usually let it go a few days before cleaning it out and it’s not a problem. Couple of notes for you. They pellets dissolve as they get wet, but until they’re saturated, they keep their pine smell.

The sawdust does get a bit heavy for our old lady, so she stops burying after the first couple of days, but that’s ok, that just makes it easier to clean. Speaking off cleaning, if you have one of those slotted things, the pellets are a bit too large to go through.

just FYI. I usually clean it out twice a week and change it completely every other week. That’s for one cat – if you have more, clean more often or you’ll notice it. Maybe there best thing, it’s just sawdust when you’re done.

i’ve been on a quest for a low-dust, low-track litter for years and years. i recall swheat scoop turning into cement. can’t remember why corn was a bust. pine pellets came close, but sifting is such a pain, and reviews for clumping pine/wood litters are so poor i hesitate to bother trying them.

different combos of clay litters mixed together made them semi-tolerable, but i still wanted something non-clay. i had irrationally high hopes for this grass litter, and initially it seemed pretty good — lightweight, mild natural scent, virtually no dust, and upon use seemed to clump quite well.

HOWEVER. this litter is so light and airy that it flies/floats/sticks/tracks EVERYWHERE (including up onto the cats’ backs and heads). i mean, i have four types (no joke) of xl tracking mats in front of and leading away from two litter boxes — a wide runway that’s over 10′ long — and yet this litter was still promptly tracked beyond the runway to the far corners of the house, trails of light-colored bits leading from the litter room through the kitchen and living room and down the hall and right up to my bed.

it’s absolutely bonkers. i clean the boxes daily and am used to sweeping near them a couple of times a day, but to keep up with these grass bits i’d have to sweep a dozen times a day or more, literally after every single trip by either cat.

i’ve already devoted a good amount of my living space to the litter boxes, but trying to keep this litter off floors that are nowhere near the boxes seems like it would be a full-time job. very disappointing, as i think otherwise this litter could have been the answer, i just can’t deal with seeing these little bits everywhere triggering my ocd.

i wish i could make it work.

Switched from “Pretty Litter” to this two months ago. Thought it was going to work out great and loved the biodegradable quality. I scoop all 4 boxes at least once a day (sometimes twice) which is not a problem, but the tracking and now the dust is especially since I think it is related to bladder issues caused by grooming all the dust off their legs & paws.

The dust might be controlled IF I replace all the litter in each pan once a week, but that becomes extremely costly with four pans to maintain (household of 3 cats). Not sure this will resolve the tracking issue though.

As far as odor, I have none but that’s not the litter’s responsibility, that’s the human’s. I flush the toilet every time I use it and clean the bowls once a week, the same should be afforded my cats’ toilets.

That’s the way to control odors. Would LOVE a recommendation for a NON-silica containing, truly minimal/no dust producing litter. Horse bedding pellets worked fine until we brought in a new cat who refused to use them and once the other two had a different (softer, sandy option) they wouldn’t either.

HELP?!.

My cat has asthma and I was looking for a dust-free alternative to our usual clumping, scented, clay litter. I opted for this because it’s biodegradable + natural, unscented, and reportedly low-dust, so it seems about as asthma-friendly as you can get — and it is! I didn’t find it tracks much more than my last litter (clay).

Nonetheless, I mixed it with walnut-shell litter based off a YouTuber’s tip, since walnut is less tracking (but more dusty), and now I have a litter that combines the best of both worlds. It doesn’t cover up the smell, of course, but for that I use a natural deodorizer, and I recommend that, especially as an alternative to harsh chemical-scented litter.

It clumps well — better than I was expecting, actually, though of course not as much as clay, but that’s alright. Walnut-shell clumps very effectively, so mixing the two has created a perfect litter for me.

I would say the only con is the price, but hey, you get what you pay for.

I bought this litter based on other reviews and I definitely have not been disappointed! (So thank you all!!) As background – Our household was using another name brand litter for our 2 cats. One of the litter boxes in our home is in a small bathroom where the ammonia odor quickly built up and was potent enough to linger even once scooped and topped off with fresh litter – not to mention it tracking everywhere! But not this litter! It really does what it says it will.

The smells from the box are absolutely contained for wellllllllll over a week and while not eliminated entirely (can any traditional style litter really do that though) the tracking of the litter has improved biggggg time! Now, full disclosure, I haven’t truly counted the number of days it stays “fresh” for, but I still can say for certain that in my experience, the scent is controlled for at least a full 7 days (and likely longer if I had actually counted!).

It sounds dramatic but seriously, what used to be a smell that felt like it overpowered a whole part of the house now is gone to the point where I’ve forgotten about it for longer than was “usual” and slacked on my litter scooping duties a little bit.

It also clumps way better than the other brand name we were using and the cats took to this no problem which is good considering I was concerned about them being sensitive to the grain and scent of this new litter.

Personally, I don’t mind the fabreze scent either! We were previously using unscented with our other brand (which really didn’t seem unscented at all) and with this one, despite it supposed to have a fabreze scent, I don’t feel like the fabreze lingers beyond those first few moments after you pour the litter into the box.

It pretty much works the same as if I spray regular fabreze for other scents in the house – it hangs around for a few minutes and then that there’s no air-freshener or litter box smell. All of these things have 100% converted me to this litter, and I’m so thankful I got it!.

I love the product but watch how it’s delivered. so I ordered three packs of 38 lb fresh step kitty litter I end up falling asleep last night woke up at 7:49 p. m. and my Christmas tree was on my porch that I ordered from Walmart and I happen to look out my storm door and I seen some outside my gate on the sidewalk outside of my yard so I wasn’t even on my property so I opened the door to see if I see what I really think I’m seeing yes they left all three packages right outside my gate on the public sidewalk.

I’m blown away that it wasn’t stolen. my Christmas tree was ordered from Walmart that delivery person put it on the porch. the delivery for the cat litter was supposed to be the exact same thing but they were different deliveries they weren’t brought together.

this is totally unacceptable so if you order this kitty litter don’t be surprised if they don’t bring it to your door because that’s heavy but I guess it was too heavy they wouldn’t sell it and have it up for delivery.

so that’s why delivery trucks have dollies anyway just be careful because I know I’m not the only one they’ve done this to. I order this off the internet because I’m disabled luckily my friend pulled up and he carried them up into my house.

cuz there’s no way I could have got them into my house myself no way. delivery instructions were to leave them inside the storm door on the porch. the Christmas tree delivery guy had no problem following them instructions.

I’ve had deliveries where they just put them right inside my over the side of the fence into the grass part of my yard there’s no beware of dog signs there’s no dogs even around my yard I have cats there’s no reason for them not to be able to bring it up to the parts cuz this is just totally unacceptable so just beware that if you order this kitty litter and it says it’s been delivered but it ain’t out there somebody probably took it cuz it’s probably been out on the sidewalk.

From the human that has to clean the litter box: 1 star – this litter does not clump well. Poops are very crumbly and if the scoop hits a poop head-on, it smears. Perhaps a trade-off to being dust free is looser clumping.

Though it is marketed as unscented, be aware that it does have a very noticeable scent– not overpowering like scented litters, but if you are expecting truly unscented, this is not it. From the six-month old kittens that use the litter: 5 stars.

I have to report fairly– even though I do not like this litter, my kittens love it. We have been using Sustainably Yours, but I was hoping to find something that tracks less. I gave Fresh Step a try in one litter box (out of three) and the kittens have been using it almost exclusively.

Another way I know they prefer this litter is that they actually come back inside to use it. I feed them at 7 AM and let them outside around 8 AM. In the past, they tended to wait to go outside for their morning toiletries.

However, since trying Fresh Step, they will use their litter box in the morning and will even come back inside to use it during the day (previously I did not see head nor tail until they come home for dinner).

It is very clear that they love Fresh Step. I’ll keep a litter box of Fresh Step while I continue to try other litters. I hope to find one they love, that clumps as well as Sustainably Yours but tracks less, and is also dust free-ish.

I’m discovering it is likely impossible to get everything on my wish list.

I have 13 cats, don’t judge, lol. I have rescued many strays over the years and recently a pregnant mama who gifted me 3 kittens. So it’s fair to say I go through enormous amounts of litter! I have tried every brand under the sun.

I also have two cats with serious respiratory issues so low dust is very important. When I was selected to receive this sample I was intrigued, but very skeptical. Having only ever been devoted to traditional non-clumping clay litter, I didn’t know what to make of this brand.

I decided to use it for the litter box that my respiratory compromised kitties use. I notice right away that there was little to no dust at all. The litter clumped quickly and solidified the urine really well.

I also notice that a lot less of the litter ended up outside the box as well. I had 4 cats using this box and I had to only change it once during the week. Which is awesome, as I usually change it every other day with the traditional clay litter.

I also was able to use a lot less, compared to the non-clumping traditional litter. It did well with odor control but make sure you scoop all of the clumps completely to avoid any residual urine smell, as this litter is not scented.

I am going to try to keep using this brand for my respiratory compromised cats because it’s truly dust free, but for the other boxes which have up to 9 users a day, I will most likely stay with clay for cost effectiveness.

I love this litter. It’s the only litter besides unscented, cheaper litter that I’ve used. It has a very faint scent, but is considered unscented. I just have a sensitive nose. We switched off this because we were concerned about a cat with allergies, but we identified the allergen (not the litter) and we switched back.

We’ve had multiple cats on this litter, and never had a problem with the cats using it. Pro tip- Scoop your litter daily, empty and clean the box monthly, or with multiple cats every few weeks. Have Minimum one box per cat, you may need +1 extra.

Be consistent with your litter or change over gradually. Cats hate change. If your box is clean and you haven’t made changes, and your cat doesn’t want to use the box, consider whether your cat is stressed or just a jerk.

Either way, confining the cat to a room with the box and food and water can help re-train the cat. If you’re still having problems, consider consulting with a vet or rescue for tips. Litter box problems can be medical but the vast majority are behavioral.

Again, clean the box, you don’t want to use a dirty toilet and neither does your cat. I wear a mask when I scoop, it makes it much more tolerable and safe. I wear rubber gloves when I empty it and clean it.

My only complaint about this litter is that the urine cakes with it and if you aren’t careful scooping it cakes on the scoop. That is the clumping action, not the fault of the litter. But if it bothers you try the non clumping.

It also is a little dusty considering it is clay, go figure. Take some of these reviews (which I have not read but am well seasoned on internet reviews) with a grain of salt. Common sense goes a long way.

Also, I don’t like Purina in general because they’re owned by Nestle, which is the worst, but I’m willing to trade my principles for quality cat litter.

I have used this litter since I adopted my cat three years ago. I tried a few others in between but always came back to it. The quality use to be great but now it’s gone. There’s so much dust in my house it seems I no matter how much I clean there’s no difference.

This litter tracks like crazy. Somehow even over a higher divided that I have to separate the bathroom tile from the carpet. The clumping is absolutely embarrassing and the odor control is absolutely none.

At this point I’m scooping out pebbles because it does not clump together. It disintegrates and into powder and I can’t clump it. The box is dirty even after cleaning. Even if I wait the litter barely covers the solids and the balls of urine fall apart.

My house smells like literal poop because it can’t even control urine in an enclosed box. I am so upset at the decline in quality but the increase in price in 2020-2021. In short, house smells like pee and poop, can’t clean away said smell because clumps fall apart or only form small pebbles, and this tracks all over the place.

The vacuum can barely pick it up since it’s so small and fine. After giving it another chance, I will definitely be switching litters.

I really don’t understand why so many users slam this product because it supposedly doesn’t clump. My wife and I have been using this brand for years, and it clumps just fine. Sure there will be small chunks and pieces leftover, but I think that also happens with the other premium (expensive) brands.

It just takes a little bit longer to get those tiny pieces. The key is to clean the litter box multiple times daily. I do it before leaving for work, and after I return home. Sometimes I may even have to clean later in the evening, but it’s not a hassle at all.

My kitties are not picky, but it’s nice for them to have a clean litter box as often as possible. And by doing multiple daily cleanings, odor is more easily controlled, since you’re removing the bacteria and ammonia that causes the odors in the first place.

I give this litter a 5-Star Rating, and would recommend to any cat owner who wants value and performance.

Personally I have never found the magical litter that keeps my house smelling like a house, doesn’t create dust storms each time a box is used or sifted, and doesn’t leave sharp gravel throughout my house.

This is as close as it gets to perfection. I was like many here a true and loyal fan of Fresh Step Ultra. T’was the best at clumping, containing odors, and truly scent free. But boy was it a dust tsunami and tracked a virtual gravel driveway.

Still loved it. Simply unscented has some organic odor which I guess is how they can say no perfumes or what have you. I think it’s the charcoal. It all makes me queasy and smells like dryer softener sheets.

This smells only when I pour it from the box. Dissipates and not a problem when scooping. Simply gets a bit more saturated, not wet, just heavier as it absorbs, sooner than Ultra but is top notch at absorbing any and all odors.

We are extremely conscientious of odor always asking people if they can smell anything. We have four boxes for two territorial critters in a large two level home. The dust situation is certainly better than Ultra but dust free? How can clay be dust free to begin with? Tracking is better than Ultra my cats aren’t normally big high intensity box scratchers so there aren’t a lot of flying pebbles – transparency – We do mix this with about a third of another brand that is finer in texture ( did this also with Ultra where it was really needed more) , creating the best mix for all, my cement floors, bare feet, and paws.

Not really sure what the differences are in the Fresh Step rebranded lineup. They really made it confusing now with paws, outstretched, simply advanced, and plain simply. I just want this stuff to not occupy so much of my brain power and be available when i need it, for as long as I need it.

Fresh Step Simply Unscented Advanced is the one. Don’t mess with it.

So from the get go I loved the idea of this product! Sustainable, recycled—all the green things. But once I opened the bag and spotted the pellets I thought for sure my cats would snub this litter. One cat being 19 years and 7 months and the other being 8.

My puffs have been known to opt for outside (we’re on a farm in a rural area) rather than deal with a litter they dislike. They proved me wrong! Since the pellets were so different and for the purpose of testing for a review, I put a heavy layer of these pellets over top of their current litter in one half of their over sized Kitty Go Here litter box and kept another box with just their old litter.

This allowed them to get accustomed to the litter and for me to see which litter they chose. The first few days, nothing happened, but within 2 weeks (thank goodness the Purina trial gave us a few weeks) they were choosing the pellets almost every time—all but once or twice.

I was glad to have a thin layer of the classic litter under the pellets since the pellets didn’t absorb all urine. Plus, the old litter clumped and helped me know where the cats used the bathroom—otherwise I would have had zero idea where the cats urinated.

At no point did either of my cats have a bowel movement on this litter, so they apparently didn’t feel comfortable with the litter for that. But they did start urinating in their litter box more often.

Lastly, I had been on the search for super soft litter for my 19 year old cat when she began using the bathroom right outside of her litter box. Researched the reasoning for this behavior and a vet’s blog stated it could be due to the cat’s skin on her paws thinning and litter causing irritation or due to the litter box opening being too high for her to enter.

We tried the super fine wood chips and some clay options, but I feel like the mix of the clay and the pellets will be our new go to. Once I changed the litter and to a larger litter box with a lower opening—zero accidents.

I like that this litter provides another soft litter option and that my cat is comfortable with these pellets. Plus, there is very little mess and no dust! Update: I knocked one star off my review. A bit more time with the pellets proved to be a mess.

My cats decided they didn’t like them and a few burst into a soggy mess. It must have been a learning curve for me with the product, but either way I fell out of love with them and so did my cats. We are back to their old litter and the pellets are gone.

It’s not perfect. I tried different pine clumping litters. The smell of pine was nice because I like that smell. It seemed hard for little paws to walk on. I’m getting a kitten soon and I wanted something that would have a softer feel on their little paws.

I’m also trying for natural alternatives rather than clay litters. The pine was larger pieces that don’t really fall through the scoop well. So I scoop more than necessary but I’m finding I also do that with this paper litter.

It seems to me as though the paper is softer than pine and also will be more cost effective than pine. So I’m choosing paper. I haven’t found a “perfect” natural litter option but this paper works good enough for what I want.

Well since i couldn’t find no pellets from any brands last time i needed to get litter, I tried their new version and it’s HORRIBLE! It makes such a mess, worse than with clay! After 2 days my floor is already full of litter pieces! It was such a stupid idead to cancel the pellet one for this new type when it’s not even the same thing.

It’s also sad because I prefered this brand to other pellets one since they are smaller and therefore a bit more comfortable for cat paws. And it smells! It’s ridiculous! We need pellets when our cats have injuries! I can’t believe the company thought that it was a good idea of discontinuing it to replace with something else instead of have the 2 products.

If it goes on sale or I find a promo code I would repurchase it. If you can afford it, I say purchase it. OH I forgot to mention that its flushable. I carefully tested this and it really is safely flushable.

Well where do I start. I’ve been on the hunt for an eco friendly litter that doesn’t track for well over a year. I have 2 very long haired cats, all over eco friendly litters get all over the house but this stuff.

not an ounce anywhere!!! The only place it drops is outside the litter box on the matt! Good points: Smells lovely, clumps pretty well, literally no tracking, comes in an easy to store box, box lasts me about 1 month or more, have to change it less often Bad points: Was disappointed to find the litter then packaged in plastic inside the box If urine is left too long (overnight) then sometimes the clumps stick to the bottom.

Still very easy to get up, just gets stuck to the scoop. Overall I’m super happy to have found this! Highly recommend it for long haired cats!.

Lovely litter! My almost 16-year-old cat took to it straight away. She has long fur and this litter doesn’t get stuck in it. Minimal tracking. I have a litter mat and it catches it all. Easy to clean and clumps well.

I recommend using a sturdy scoop with medium-sized holes. Clumps are compact and my cat litter waste bag only needs emptying once a week with this. Lovely scent, nice and fresh. I also love the vanilla one, and prefer the lavender one for summer.

It’s not overpowering, very light. The litter is virtually dust free. I have asthma and often had problems with dust from cat litter. Not with this one. Highly recommend.

I bought this (and the vanilla one) previously to try and be a little more eco-conscious, however it worked out great as this litter does what it says. It clumps really well, creating minimal mess, it seems to last a long while and it really does cover up odours.

Our little boy Maine Coon has a few health issues and his wee smell was awful, and this is the only litter i’ve found that completely covers it up! My two cats took to it straight away as well after having a clay type littler.

If you have a “scoopfree” automatic litter box, USE THIS PRODUCT. I had been using the Scoopfree brand crystals in my reusable tray and was going through them way to quick. It was getting too expensive.

With these crystals, I’m not even half-way through the bag after almost a month. We have 5 cats and 4 litter boxes, the scoopfree being in my bedroom. 33 “scoops” after about 3 weeks and only pee. Literally does not even smell yet and the crystals still have probably a week left of life in them.

So, if the other half of the bag lasts 4 weeks too, you’re looking at 8 weeks per bag in my situation. Based on my totally correct math skills I would say one bag of these crystals will last 80 “pees” in an auto litterbox.

I gave 4 stars because when I used the crystals in a regular litterbox, they didn’t last as long as I would have hoped and got stuck to the bottom and were hard to clean off. It was hard to tell when the box needed to be dumped, and by the time I could tell, it was a horrible mess with the entire bottom still liquid pee and smelling so strong I cried.

Having 5 cats is a lot of work, so having at least one auto litterbox in a popular cat spot if they need is a lifesaver. We also have 2 “pellet” boxes with pee pads, and a clay box (which is their favorite).

I prefer to limit to 1 clay box because they are so demanding to maintain.

I am not new to this product. I’ve used it years ago and it worked. I recently noticed its ineffectiveness with one cat use. Please keep in mind that I clean and stir constantly each time my cat uses the litter box.

To no avail, it no longer has the potency it once had years ago, even months ago. I noticed a problem, but didn’t pinpoint it until recently and careful monitoring. I changed the litter on June 3, 2022, and by June 13, 2022, it was already no good and ready to be discarded (with one cat’s use).

That is a total of 10 days, what happened to the other 20 days in which it is guaranteed? My cat urinated outside of the litter box on the floor 2x because I had not figured out what was going on. I smelled inside of the box and it smelled like ammonia.

Remember, I constantly stir so, that isn’t the problem. I even purchased the new product of the Litter Box Deodorizing Crystals which didn’t help. Please keep in mind before this was made the litter worked just fine for 30 days months and years ago.

I guess they aren’t making it like it used to anymore, then they should stop advertising 30 Day guarantee. They had to be aware because why are they making the Litter Box Deodorizing Crystals now, which also does not help.

I would like a refund. I purchased 3 bags and have at least 1 1/2 left.

I am absolutely shocked to learn that there are a group of cat owners who had no idea how to use these crystals properly. Read the directions, people! They are meant to be sprinkled in the litter box with regular cat litter.

These crystals are not meant to be used as the actual cat litter. I used them with a friend asked me to care for her cat in my home for a period of one month. She brought some of these crystals with her.

I absolutely loved them. I was very disappointed when I could not find them in the brick and mortar stores, but now I know where to get them. These crystals are incredible, and they do work if you use them correctly.

I have lived with cats for 58 of my almost 70 years of life, and I have cleaned many litter boxes. My feeling is that I hate the clumping litter. I like the cheap, generic litter. I scoop the boxes of feces and remove the wet, urine-soaked litter on a daily basis.

This way, I keep the smell under control very nicely. The crystals were so nice to use to add an infusion of light floral scent to my home. I will definitely be buying some very soon. This stuff works and works wonderfully.

I have multiple cats, and I ALSO have severe allergies and have a really heightened sense of smell. I have tried every litter out there, and found one I really liked, but it was discontinued, so the search was on for an affordable litter that was low dust and one that didn’t have a strong perfume smell.

I have always used the clumping litter, thinking it wouldn’t smell as bad, PLUS, it says on the bag that it’s “low dust”, but the smell was AWFUL, and dust would fill the air each time it was used, and made it hard for me to breathe, even when I was in another room.

And, it’s AFFORDABLE, which REALLY helps an old lady who lives on a budget, and having it shipped straight to me home keeps me from having to struggle with dragging those heavy bags home from the store.

After searching and paying through the nose for litter, who knew this would end up being the best my cats have ever used. We have had cats for over 25 years so this is a plus for us. One of our boys decided he wasn’t going to use what I was buying and went outside the box every day unless I had just emptied the crystal litter.

Ever since I started using this, he has used it instead of my floor. All I do is remove the poo and some urine. Add some more, and it does a great job of stopping bad smells. I do not like clumping litter.

It sticks to the paws of my hairy guy, Max. And I also don’t believe it is healthy for cats. Something else I’ve discovered is, it does not stick to the disposable pan or the regular one. It also keeps urine from soaking through.

This really is the world’s Best cat litter! I’ve tried so many different types to replace the dirty, dusty, tacking clay litter I started with when I got my first cat. I’ve tried various paper pellets, wood pellets, silica beads and others including this one.

There are pros and cons to them all but I really liked the crystal beads but I developed asthma from the silica dust. So next best type for me was this World’s Best crushed corn husk litter. It clumps so it’s easy to clean.

There is one for multi-cats which I’m assuming clumps even better. It’s natural and theres even a lavender scented one but I discovered my cat hates anything lavender so it’s the plain one for us lol.

The clumps are flushable, provided you make sure to let the granules soak a few minutes and expand fully before flushing away. It’s not dusty and doesn’t track like the clay or sand litters. It doesn’t absorb odors like some of the pellet products.

You only need a few inches in your litter box so even though it costs a bit more, it last a lot longer. provided you scoop your litter regularly to keep the litter as clean as possible. And since it doesn’t stick to my cat’s paws, she doesn’t lick and ingest it like the clay litters.

And if she does ingest a little, it’s ok since it’s corn, not clay or silica. This was originally recommended to me by someone at a rescue organization and now I recommend this brand to everyone I know.

I tried this, in very beginning thought might have stumbled on something great. Little did I know the storm was brewing and about to cause horrible damage. Because this was so bad at controlling odor, my cat (who never did anything like this before at all) started brazenly peeing on our clothes, pee on the bed right in front of us.
