Carry on luggage is luggage that is small enough to be brought on board an airplane as opposed to being checked into the luggage compartment. This type of luggage is typically limited to one bag per passenger, and the bag must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of the passenger.

Enjoy packing convenience with two quick-access, exterior front pockets, full-length interior lid pocket, side accessory pocket and adjustable hold-down straps, while the high-tensile-strength expandable zipper gives you maximum packing flexibility.
I’m disappointed in this model. It rolls very smooth and is super lightweight, but when you pack the suitcase, the outer pockets become useless. Maybe it’s to ensure the size stays suitable for carry-on requirements, but you can’t fit anything that’s not flat in the outer pockets like for example a round brush or bottle of sunscreen.
I would be worried to put a laptop in the laptop compartment bc the space is so tight. The expandable zipper design doesn’t quite give it enough room/flexibility. I loved my old TravelPro that I’ve had for ten years, the expandable part looks to be a different design.
It fit all carryon requirements, but I was able to pack more with ease in that one. This one and a smaller model I bought (and can’t return bc only 30 day return policy?!) just aren’t as useful. I’m sure the quality will hold up, but it’s going to be a struggle to pack these.
The 30 day return policy is really tight considering most of us are in the travel industry and can’t get home in time to return something after that short amount of time. Or even test it out long enough to see if it works.
I purchased this luggage after doing lots of research and reading online and it came highly recommended in magazines and online travel expert articles. It is brand new and I have only used it one time on one one-way trip.
Today as I am getting ready to return to where I live and I’m taking it out of the closet at my brothers house to start packing I noticed that the back of my suitcase is ripped in two places. For luggage that is over $300 this is unbelievable! One time one use and it’s ripped in two places.
I have used L. L. Bean luggage for the past 10 years and never had any defect rip or tear in it until this year and that’s what drove me to buy some new luggage. I thought I would try this brand but I regret that I did.
Do not buy travel pro. It is cheap and to be punctured and ripped on one trip is unacceptable for this type of luggage. I fly first class and my luggage is last on and first off and tagged priority and usually treated very well.
The durability of this luggage is unbelievably cheap! I cannot believe how ripped off I feel.
Long time Sak Roots lover here. Every luggage, purse, and wallet I own is Saks. However I was very dissapointed that the new designs and materials seem much cheaper. The material is not slick and glossy and as easily cleanable as the old designs.
Also when setting this 21 inch spinner next to my old one, while the size of the bag (wheel to handle) is the same size, the actual luggage area is much smaller. This is a cute bag for a teenager, but not a long term use for a real adult traveler.
Even the Saks logo tag on the bags are much cheaper looking. I’m hoping for the old designs and materials and quality items to come back.
I’ve had my Sakrioots carry on for years. I use it often for both business and pleasure. It has flown thousands of miles over many many trips. It still looks brand new. No kidding, no rips tears, marks.
And I don’t have any problem identifying my bag on the belt at baggage claim. I wish you would PLEASE make a 25” and 27” as well.
Love the print, material and quality. So far so good. Bought the non canvas material (recycled bottle material) as it seems to hold up better than the coated canvas which seems to brown with time. I have this material in a purse as well and it’s held up great.
Not flown with it yet but I think it will do well.
The SwissGear 7272 Energie collections combines a rugged polycarbonate hard-shell and architectural design, while its eight multi-directional spinner wheels provide 360-degree maneuverability. Energie introduces USB capability so you can now rejuvenate your drained smartphone or tablet right from the convenience of your luggage.
An internal mesh pocket hides the USB cord that is connected to the back of its exterior so hook it to your power bank (not included) to charge a low battery. The split main compartment features a tie-down clothing compartment with zippered accessory pocket, and a large, zippered compartment with additional mesh and cinched pockets.
Also includes 2″ expandable packing space, and an integrated TSA-approved lock for extra security.
Pros: – Aesthetically pleasing (I bought the gold version) – Wheels glide effortlessly across various pavements – Expandable + roomy, I’m still amazed that mine can hold 1. 5 week’s worth of clothes + couple pair of shoes (but note: I’m also a pretty smart packer bc I travel a lot for business) – Hardside luggage but still pretty light in weight when empty Cons: – Personally, I dislike that the zippers + lock is positioned on the side of the luggage, and not at the top of the bag.
I need to use both hands to lock the zippers in place. – Portable battery charger is NOT included. And the bag to hold the battery is pretty small inside so unless your battery is small/slim, there’s a chance it won’t fit = making it useless.
Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase so I have to give this product 5 stars.
I travel multiple times a year and was looking for a solid hard case suit case for a trip cross country. This one caught my eye in the store due to its sleek graphite design, but it’s more than that.
It rolls so smoothly that you can push it with like a couple fingers. It is a great size – you’d have to check it – but can fit so many items. I was able to fit a weeks worth of clothes for both me and my husband into this one suitcase! It has some great pockets on the inside for random items, while also having clips and a fill zip side panel to keep clothes in place.
I’m so happy I got this that when it’s time to replace my other suitcase I will be looking for another one like this!.
I purchased this for a weekend trip to Florida and was not disappointed! I boarded 4 planes over the course of the trip, 2 going, 2 flying home. All but one allowed me to use it as a carry on. I believe I would’ve been allowed on the 4th flight had I: 1.
Used the zipper to compact the case (it was fully expanded) and 2. Had not been the 4th to the last person on a very full plane. My flight was late, and I had to run to the next gate, I slid in just in time.
I was able to pack 2 pairs of sandals, 4 outfits, 2 sets of PJs, and the usual toiletries, full-sized makeup products, a flat-iron and a blow dryer. Pros: Super lightweight Very maneuverable Easy to lift into overhead bins (and I had it stuffed, and have a bad shoulder) Hard outter shell so nothing inside was crushed.
Easy to expand, providing a LOT of extra room Built in lock Cons: Easy to expand providing a lot of extra room MAY give the appearance that it will not fit on some planes. (The final leg of my trip had smaller overhead storage areas.
) I mistakenly thought a battery pack was included, it is not. There is a zippered pocket inside, to hold your own battery. Overall I would absolutely purchase again; no regrets!.
Fitted with premium 4-wheel multi-directional spinners that allow for smooth effortless 360°-degree free-weight maneuvering. Luggage is made of a durable, lightweight hard ABS exterior with reinforced protective molded corner guards that absorb shock for maximum impact resistance and durability.
Interior main compartment is fully lined with a tear-resistant lining and features double-sided packing, a zippered organization pocket, and garment restraint straps to hold your clothes in place. Exterior features a top and side grab handle for easy maneuvering and four molded side feet that allow luggage to stand upright on its side.
Equipped with a sturdy and user-friendly push-button retractable trolley handle that extends to be 41 inches. Features a lightweight construction that helps you adhere to airline weight restrictions to avoid unneeded airport fees.

My name is Indar Mohansingh and I am from Trinidad. I bought all my items just so that I can get this suitcase. It’s executive looking and quite to my taste and preference. Kenneth Cole is my brand. I would say we think similar in that our taste and fashion sense are the same.
I don’t wear any other clothing. It always get the perfect fit. I love as the design of all your products especially shoes. I have over 30 pairs of shoes from your company. It’s the best when compared to the fit you get in all other brands.
Everyone knows I only wear Kenneth Cole in my work environment as well in that my staff bought me a Kenneth Cole cake in the shape of a shirt for my birthday. I only wish that you all ship to Trinidad.
I was actually planning of going Miami tomorrow to shop for about three days. I see that you all has closed down your outlet in Sawgrass. What I do now is have my relatives from Boston and Miami purchase what I want and they in turn ship them to me.
Overall I think I am probably the only person who are soo dedicated and loyal to a brand. If I like something, I buy it. When compared to brands like Perry Ellis, International Concepts, Guess, Michael Kors etc, your clothing always seem to give the perfect fit.
I wear your slim fit shirts as I am small and neat so to say and your shirts just make me feel and look comfortable. Trust me, if I am saying this, it has to be true. I am not an easy person to please or satisfy.
I launder as well as iron my own clothing. I don’t send it to the laundry or have it steamed by others. I do it myself. I always feel as if no one can do justice in ironing for me, they just can’t get it right.
Overall I am happy in that you asked me for feedback as it shows and adds to the positive image of your company. I am actually very happy in that you asked me for my opinion in this manner. Your products always seem to meet my expectations.
I actually feel that someone in your company actually knows the true me. You all have my taste down to the very button so to speak. I am and and shal.
If I were to recommend a suitcase to a friend, I would recommend this one. It’s small enough to carry-on. But, it’s easy to spot if you do end up checking it. It’s durable, but lightweight. The wheels glide really smoothly in all directions, and having the second handle on the long side of the suitcase makes it easier to carry.
The only negative that I can see from this bag is that it does not have any room to expand, like some other suitcases, so if you’re someone who wants to buy a lot of things when you travel or cannot pack light, this might not be the bag for you.
Great, sturdy, little suitcase to have on European Tour. Packed for 2 weeks (mostly summer wear) soft plastic sides expand. Totally light and easy to maneuver in hotel and airport, in and out of elevators, up train stairs, in and out of buses and trains.
Could have used as carry-on, but checked it. Good size to live out of in small European rooms. (Perfectly suited for woman in her 70’s. ).
Navigate the airport like a pro with this overhead-compatible roller bag. The Dakine Carry On 42L is sized for weekend travel and meets the legal carry-on specs for most airlines. Its split-level layout keeps you organized while traveling, and internal compression straps help you fit that extra jacket.
A dedicated laptop pocket keeps your mobile office within easy reach.
Love this bag – it’s well made, and lots of good compartments. The front pocket is spacious and lets you carry a lot. Not sure a laptop sleeve is necessary, but it’s a nice-to-have. Biggest thing to know about this bag is that it opens like a clamshell – the bottom half is the same size as the top half.
It’s not your standard carryon where the front panel opens to reveal a deep bag. Not a problem – the top has a mesh netting to keep things in place – but something you want to know before spending $200 on.
I have bought many carry ons during my travels. This is the one I wish that I had always had. It is a standard size that is accepted by almost every airline. Spinner wheels are a necessity when entering and exiting planes via the very narrow aisles and are a convenience when waiting in lines, freeing hands.
Interior mesh pockets and compression straps enable organization. Exterior pockets for papers and for a laptop with a removable laptop support make airport waits easier. A cup holder is a convenience, making beverages easily accessible within easy reach.
No more coffee cups on the floor. But the main feature of this carry on is the Dakine quality. It simply stands out from most other carry ons.
I really like the spinner feature of this bag. It’s easy to wheel around and the handles on two sides make it easy to carry. I like the different compartments and the color (salmon) is super cute. However, the laptop sleeve it comes with isn’t big enough to fit my 13in macbook.
If you don’t want to check your luggage, then the Protege pilot case is exactly what you’ve been looking for. With a telescopic handle, exterior pockets, roomy interior and in-line wheels, it travels with ease anywhere you need to be.
The travel luggage case, 18 inch, has zippers with metal pulls that make it simple to open each compartment as needed. It has a vibrant black color that makes it easy to find on the carousel and is made of durable polyester.
The carry on luggage case, black, features in-line skate wheels that will ensure maneuvering between obstacles is possible. It also has a reinforced handle so that you can carry it instead of rolling it and the corners are reinforced for durability.
Paid $99 fee at Frontier yesterday, as this one didn’t fit to their bin for personal items. Used to fly few times before with no issues until was asked to really check. Wheels and stands are NOT included into measurements.
Be careful, think twice and better find something more reliable. It does cost $99 if the boarding is in progress. The suitcase itself is great with no issues. But it’s is not of personal item size for Spirit and Frontier.
This suitcase is definitely smaller than it appears in photos and would be for a child. I thought that the one I received had been a return (the bottom end of the box was opened). Also it looked cheap.
I did order the next size up and picked up from the store (returns are easy) The quality, size and features more upgraded but it’s the same brand. Go figure.

Having bought this suitcase strictly for carry on, I feel that it is an ok purchase. It works well for those who travel 10% of the time or less and will not be checking it in. It came missing a zipper pull, which I will look into getting a new one via the warranty.
The telescoping handle is very flimsy and external material will allow dirt to get ground in easily. The wheels seemed to work ok. Not great, but ok. Still, if you don’t travel much and take care of it, it will be worth the price.
I travel less than 25% of the time, but take good care of my luggage, so it should be ok for me. Just wish I had the money for a better one.
I’ve had this luggage for years, and I don’t know how it’s lasted this long. It’s so durable. The pockets do the job well. And the price! Ridiculous value. I’ve used it as a carryon on pretty much every domestic airline with no issues.
Unfortunately, after countless flights, the handle is starting to stick. I will 100% be purchasing a new one!.
This suitcase moves nicely and the telescoping handle is sturdy. However, the front of the suitcase was heavily scuffed and a little torn after just one trip. I understand that luggage is at the mercy of the level of care given, but I have never had a suitcase so heavily scuffed after a few years of use, let alone one trip.
Oh well, at least it did not cost an arm and a leg.
Travel conveniently on your vacation trips with the Chicago Hardside Expandable Spinner Carry-On. Constructed using ABS, this carry-on bag is durable and will last you for a long time. The zip and strap closure keeps your gear in place at all times.
A telescopic handle provides convenience in carrying. An integrated handle on the top allows for easy portability. The 360 degree spinner wheel offers excellent maneuvering option. Featuring expandable and multiple storage space, this bag can accommodate all your belongings efficiently.
I really wanted this bag to work. I bought it a month ago for our summer vacation. It was easy to roll, even when filled to capacity, the price was right, and it was a great size for both me and my kids (I bought 3 of these).
The handles seemed a little loose on all of them, but the bags turned on a dime and were lightweight. I had planned to use them just for carry-on bags, but our flights were overbooked and the airline made us check them because the overhead bins were already full by the time we were able to board the plane.
2 of the 3 bags were ruined beyond repair on the first trip. One of them cracked so badly, I had to take all my stuff out and use a garbage bag provided by the airline just to leave the airport! The other had a wheel snapped off almost completely, so we had to just carry it by the side handle, as it fell over with just the remaining 3 wheels and wouldn’t roll any more.
If I had been able to use them just as carry-on bags, I think they would have held up fine. So, if you are looking for something for car trips, I heartily recommend these; if for the plane, avoid them!.
It is a really nice suitcase for the price. The shell could be a bit stronger, but if you use it as a carry on there should be no problems. It has nice roomy compartments on the inside and even came with a very nice luggage tag.
Pack more and travel light! The lightweight, super durable Maxlite Air Carry-on, Medium and Large Check-in Expandable Hardside Spinner set gives you all the benefits of hard sided luggage in a resilient, well-equipped suitcase set, perfectly sized for longer trips.
The 100% polycarbonate exterior is engineered to flex on impact to prevent splitting, cracking or punctures, while a stylish exterior finish reduces visible scratches or scuffs. A built-in lock allows TSA authorities to safely unlock and relock the bag for inspection when needed, and a zippered expansion option maximizes packing capacity when needed.
The interior lining of both of these bags are made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles to help reduce environmental waste and treated with H2O guard for moisture resistance. Two zippered interior divider panels with multiple accessory pockets keep packed contents organized, separated, and secure.
Mobility is effortless on eight smooth-gliding spinner wheels that rotate 360° led by a PowerScope Lite handle that locks in two positions (38” and 42. 5”) to ensure a comfortable roll for users of different heights.
A patented Contour Grip with rubberized touch points makes maneuvering easy and comfortable.
I love the size of this suitcase and the inside, with the two zipper-covered sides was exactly what I wanted but the handles are simply terrible. The two handles on the case are so tight that they are almost completely useless (I tried putting a book under the handles for a few days to stretch them, it didn’t work).
And why isn’t there a handle on the bottom of the case to make lifting the whole case easier? (Of course that one would also be too tight to use so I guess it doesn’t matter. ). I know that baggage handlers and others are going to use the wheel handle to lift the case since the other handles are useless which will inevitably mean that the wheel handle will break.
One corner of the case was dented in the first time I used the case! I might been able to pound it out and therefore might have kept it if not for the handles. I will be returning it. Very disappointed because the inside of the case is great! I have had other Travelpro soft-sided cases that I really like but wanted a hard shell case this time.
The Tarmac XE 2-Wheel International Carry-On was built incredibly durable to tackle the abuses of international travel and unplanned wet weather. All terrain wheels, puncture-resistant zippers, and an internal laptop sleeve make this eco-conscious bag a no-brainer when picking a travel bag for your next adventure.
It’s the ultimate in protective organization no matter what your mode of travel.
I have been an Eagle Creek luggage owner for 10 year. I was a huge fan of the Tarmac (before the flawed redesign). The bag’s zipper broke after 2 light uses. The bag is only 6 months old. The new flap top design limits how you can pack the bag.
And the bars for the extendable handle create internal voids on the bottom of the bag that are not usable unless you want to rolls soft items and press them into the channels. This reduces the bag’s capacity and makes it hard to pack items like shoes on the bottom.
When I reached out to Eagle Creek for info about a replacement they informed me that even though the bag was very new the only option was to spend my own dollars to ship to a repair center and wait 6-8 weeks.
It will cost me upwards of $50 to ship (15% of the purchase price) and leaves me without a bag for 2 months, which means I will have to go buy a new bag somewhere else. I asked if they would just take the bag back and send me a replacement.
I even offered to pay for the replacement until they confirmed the damage. Customer Service was unmovable and was unable/unwilling to offer to other options. In summary, the new Tarmac design is hard to pack and has a lot of unusable voids.
The construction is subpar with zipper failure after 2 uses. They do not offer replacement for new bags and leave the cost of repair shipping and long wait times on the customer.
So far, so good. It survived the first trip! That’s more than I can say for my last 2 new luggage bags which were broken by airlines on separate trips. (I have the worst luck) I bought this bag for the warranty because I was going to go crazy if I had to throw away another brand new bag because of a broken wheel or handle.
The material of this bag is great quality and looks sleek. It’s very functional; I was traveling with a couple other people and my bag was by far the easiest to roll. The only downside is that the bag doesn’t open “”fully.
“” Most luggage bags open from one side but this one opens at the top and so there’s a little section at the bottom that’s hard to see and hard to reach when packing. (But this is a very small, insignificant downside) I’ll update this comment if anything ever breaks, but I’m feeling optimistic for once.
I would recommend this luggage bag to anyone who travels! #sweepstakes.
Eagle Creek’s no matter what warranty is a big plus. Needed a larger bag with 2 wheels (4 wheel bags don’t travel rough surfaces well and wheels are weak) and this fit the bill. The bag opens like a flap, unzipping on both sides which is a little unusual.
Only issue is it doesn’t unzip all the way making the last few inches a bit difficult to pack but we use packing cubes so no problem. Also, the bag does not have a piggyback strap. This is a negative.
I can piggyback in on my smaller bag but it would be a little more convenient if this bag had a piggyback strap. Otherwise, a top notch bag from Eagle Creek.

I bought this bag in May before taking a trip to Europe in June. At first I was happy with it: the bag is light, very roomy, well designed interior. Unfortunately, just after one trip the bag looks awful.
All 4 upper corners suffered severe abrasion, tear in one spot, one of the zippers lost a part. It looks much worse than my 20+ year old bag from SkyWay. I was under the impression that Ricardo and SkyWay are the same company.
Unfortunately, they took over and replaced a beautiful product, made from NASA fabric, into something cheap, made out from polyester. No wonder the bag looks so bad just after one trip. I have tried to claim a warranty but was informed that the bag has been abused by airlines and I should contact them! It is such a shame because the bag is truly well designed… So do not buy unless you do not mind traveling with a bag a homeless person might have!.
Stable, well-balanced, highly durable, and easy to maneuver, this 4-wheel carry-on spinner is the way to go when traveling light. The polycarbonate body is reinforced with aluminum for all the strength needed to withstand years of harsh treatment, while still being light enough to be easily lifted into an airlines’ overhead bin.
Nearly perfect. Used for a week long trip (along w a backpack). Packed 3 pair of pants, 2 shorts, 4 tees, 3 button up shirts, 5 socks and undies, 2 sweaters and a pair of shoes (along with some chargers for electronics).
Worked well while wheeling thru the airport, even w backpack attached via trolley on handle. Only concern for longevity will be the handle and wheels. There was some movement and flexing on the the handle while pushing/pulling.
Pack your belongings in an organized manner with the 20 in. It has a fully-lined interior with a zip-around garment divider and crisscrossing tie-down straps to hold your clothes securely in place. This lightweight luggage is made with a durable hardside material and features four 360掳 spinner wheels for smooth upright mobility.
It is also equipped with a telescoping push-button handle and a top carrying handle for comfort and convenience.
OK for the price. You’d be hard pressed to find a 4 wheel spinner carry-on for $30 anywhere else. It just doesn’t roll as nicely as other spinners I’ve had in the past. It reminds me of a grocery cart with one weird wheel.
It still gets around, but you can feel the drag and resistance in its movements. I found myself tugging at it and giving it sharp, reprimanding looks when it refused to follow my movements in the airport.
The royal blue color is very nice though. If I had the chance for a do-over, I would save my money and buy a better one.
I decided to go with my wife to see her sister in Spokane, WA. I didn’t want to go as I have trouble walking. My legs lock up after walking a short distance. Then I was told I could get a wheel chair at the air port.
I ordered this carry on which I received in 2 days. When we arrived at the air port and I pulled out the handle on the suit case with the 4 wheels, it worked like a walker. I was able to walk with having to get a wheel chair.
It worked great at the Portland Air Port which I had to walk a long ways to board the flight.
Improve your travel experience with the Trulite luggage collection from Protege. With lightweight material and a 2-inch expansion, you will not have to worry about over packing on your next trip. Keep your wet garments separate from your dry garments with the built-in wet pocket.
Be the talk of your travel group with the eye-catching telescopic handle, front pocket zipper, and 360-degree spinner wheels. Easily access items quickly with the dual front pockets.
Pro: light, well made and seemed to be comfortable Cons: size is too be. It actually even more then 23 inches, that is too big for the most of carriers. I have returned it. Walmart returning process was easy and fast.
Our Carry-On Plus with the addition of a built-in zippered compartment for easy access to your transit essentials. Fits up to a 15″ laptop and keeps it well-protected, as our pocket is made with the same durable polycarbonate material as the rest of the suitcase.
Designed to fit in the luggage sizers and overhead bins of major US airlines (but may need to be checked on smaller planes). Outfitted with an unbreakable polycarbonate shell, an ultra-sturdy telescopic handle, whisper-quiet wheels, vegan leather details, and all-premium materials.
I waited a bit before posting a review because I wanted to give our new carry-on a good work through so I could identify the positives and negatives. We’ve now used our Mono Carry-On Pro Plus for 4 trips on United, American and Southwest Airlines with absolutely zero problems getting it onboard as well as getting it to fit easily in the overhead compartments.
My husband used it for a 4 day trip, and I’ve used it for a 4 day, a 5 day and a 6 day trip with no troubles packing everything we needed. I bought this with the packing cube set which I highly recommend to maximize your options.
Note: Both of us have lived overseas and are experienced travelers (40+ countries). I’ve been extremely happy with my previous carry-on, a Zuca Pro-travel, but there are times when I wanted something just a bit bigger and more protective of electronics.
After a great deal of research, I chose the Monos Pro-Plus because I wanted something with great reviews, as large as I could legally get on a plane; something that rolled well and packed well; and something that could handle a laptop safely.
Additionally, it needed to be comfortable pulling/walking for my nearly 6 foot frame as well as my husband’s 6’4″ height. This suitcase does all of those jobs very well. Packing is easy and intuitive, especially with the use of the optional packing cubes.
Space is well utilized, although the compartment behind the shirt board is tiny, so keep that in mind. I have used that oddly sized space to hold dirty laundry, my toiletry bag, a pair of sneakers and my pillow (on different trips).
As with any good packing job, choose mix and match clothing in neutrals, bring things that can be hand washed and drip dried to extend your travel time window, use a few good accessories to change out your look and roll your clothing items.
I try to bring only the shoes that I wear on the plane. I have packed a second pair for hiking or dressier occasions, but purposely chose those that pack small. The laptop compartment is a game changer.
It holds my 13″ MacBook Air plus my iPad Pro, Apple pencil, itineraries, charging cables and small charging blocks. Best yet, it takes seconds to unload your electronics for getting through TSA or providing quick access in an airport or on the plane.
As noted by others, my suitcase picked up a bit of markings in transit, but they easily buffed out with the use of the magic eraser included with purchase.
I ordered this one for my son for the sole purpose to the opening in the front, he carries his iPad and I thought this would be much easier when we travel to just slide it in there and have easy access.
Upon reading all the other reviews regarding if it was really worth it, some say it wasn’t while others say it was, I decided to go ahead and order it. When I received it, I. must say it looked sharp but did notice it was slightly smaller than my Carry-On Plus.
I put his iPad in to see how it fit and it was great, for him I think the Carry-On Plus will be fine as a carry on but I would have preferred a little more room. If I would have ordered it again, I would have stuck with the Carry-On Plus and just have him put his iPad in a Backpack.
As far as color, I choose the Black. One thing I noticed about Monos, the colors are really off then what is pictured. I have the Terracotta which is really nice , (I cancelled a previous order of the Storm Grey when I saw reviews of the actual color) On my previous travels, I checked my terracotta Carry On Plus since the airline offerered and my bag was pretty heavy so I said why not but I regretted it for 2 reasons.
1. I had to carry my Metro Duffel without the Carry On Plus in Atlanta Airport which was a pain, I loved how it glided sitting on top of my luggage before I checked it in, without the luggage I struggled switching arms to get comfortable, not fun especially in ATL.
2. I got so many black marks all over it due to baggage handling which made me sad, my pretty suitcase looked like it went through the ringer. I don’t blame Monos for this, this is what happens with checked luggage thankfully, after 45 minutes of scrubbing off with the eraser Monos provided it all came off which made me happy but I vow never to check it in again, its too pretty to get so messed up, that is why for my son I choose classic black, you won’t see the marks when you check in.
When I purchase the larger Mono suitcases in the future, I will get black just so it won’t see the markings so bad. All and all Monos is wonderful! The customer service is fantastic, they answer your questions promptly and always have a good vibe attitude and the luggage is top notch! As far as the Carry-On Pro Plus, you can’t go wrong with it, the front feature is a plus but if you would like a little more room in the carry on go for the Carry-On Plus.

It has been 10 months since my bag brand new large Samsonite Novaire broke on the 1st trip. I contacted Samsonite immediately, sent video, took suitcase to 1 of the approved vendors to fix, etc. No help at all from Samsonite.
I have tried for a year to have them replace my expensive largest Noviare that was brand new, zero help. I had purchased 3 bags and now still do not have a complete set for travel. Save your money, Samsonite does not stand behind its products.

I loved this carry-on luggage, The quality, the material is durable, it has enough space to accommodate all my clothes for a short travel. I feel the comfort to be in the airplane with my carry-on because the light weight, easy way to slide the wheels.
I love it, Love it. The color is very pretty. I am so happy with my purchase.
I love my new carry on luggage. It fits right into the overhead bin. It’s very light and roomy. It comes with a 20 year warranty. It does look a little like cheap plastic so I’m avoiding checking it in because I’m not sure if it would survive being thrown around.
It works great for me and I enjoy traveling with it.
I will be using it on a near future trip. Then I will know more. As far as I can tell the rollers are very smooth. I love the locking mechanism. No more busted locks. I look forward to using them. Will there be a mid size piece in the future?.
