Best Call Of Duty Cold War Settings Xbox (2024 Updated)

I was very upset to learn there are many features not available in this game for the WII edition. One of the main reasons was to play zombies, although you can there is no split screen so it’s only single player.

(Don’t forget the vending machine behind the bar for a revive) the only perk to one player zombies. It’s only one zombie map too. Online modes work but no 2 player for missions or training. Cheat codes don’t seem to work either, in the main screen you can escape from the chair and access a computer to enter them but they don’t work.

I got classic controllers for the game and in zombies they only let you pick from several pre set controls you can’t customize so they are kind of awkward. Game play is ok but I always preferred MW cod.

The turning side to side is slow aiming and you can’t cycle through killstreak rewards which is annoying. I’d like to be able to use a uav before an airstrike to increase it’s effectivness. If these are things you’re looking for get a different cod or buy it on a different platform that supports it.

I should of checked myself but didn’t think at all split screen wouldn’t be supported so kind of shocked.

I’ve always wanted a copy of this game when I was young. Now I finally got it. I bought it brand new and the case was good. Once I open the case the clips of the case broke at the bottom now I need to re glue the small pieces.

Also game disc had a few scratches on it. I’m not sure maybe the cased might scratched it? However the scratches doesn’t affect the gameplay. Overall highly recommend this to your call of duty collection.

I really like the collection of Black Ops. Black Ops 1 has a good storyline. The multiplayer is very challenging. Online multiplayer with players and offline multiplayer with the bots, but it’s fun. The Zombies mode is super hard, but I keep practicing.

Black Ops 2 has the best storyline. The online multiplayer is cool. Private lobby with my friends is super fun. The public lobby is alright, it would be better without Modders. Quick scope is pretty easy.

The offline multiplayer with the boys is pretty fun. The Zombie mode is pretty fun. It’s not as hard like Black Ops 1. Black Ops 3 doesn’t have Story Mode on it, so that was a bummer. The online multiplayer is good.

The offline multiplayer with the bots is good. Quick scopes is just the same as Black Ops 2. I didn’t like the Zombie mode. The storyline sucked. The multiplayer is better than Zombies on Black Ops 3.

Black Ops 1, 2 and 3 are awesome. Highly recommended.

THIS GAME REALLY BROUGHT BACK A LOT WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THOSE GAMES IN CAMPAGIN AND MUTIPLAYER. THE CAMPAIGN BROUGHT OLD CHARACTERS LIKE CAPTIAIN PRICE BACK AND BROUGHT A DARKER AND GRIDY STORY THAT FELT MORE REALISTIC EVEN COMPARED TO THE ORIGINAL.

THE MULTIPLAYER BROUGHT A LOT OF INNOVATION TO COD NEEDED FOR A LONG TIME BUT ALSO BROUGHT SOME QUESTIONABLE CHANGES LIKE IN THE MINI MAPS AND THE MAP LAYOUT THEMSELVES. BUT OVERALL, I STILL ENJOYED EVEN WITH FLAW IN BOTH THE CAMPAIGN AND MUTIPLAYER IT MADE ME WANT TO BE COD FAN AGAIN.

SO, FOR ANY COD FAN LIKE MYSELF THAT LEFT THE FRANCHICE I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A GREAT START POINT TO JUMP BACK IN.

Note: I’m writing this review from the perspective of someone with passing familiarity with COD’s single-player campaigns, but who has never logged into a multiplayer map until this edition. I’ve been playing the core Online Multiplayer modes since April 2020, and probably play about 4-5 nights a week.

LOVE: * Leveling is varied and compelling, if a little daunting. Ever-changing daily Missions keep things fresh, weapons upgrade with use— independent of your player level— and weapons have so many unlockables you can evolve most guns to suit multiple play styles.

*The game designers strike me as very committed to keeping things fresh. We’re currently on Season 5: every season has brought a couple new maps, a few new weapons, and several character skins. LIKE: *Game play and engine physics are as tight as you’d expect for a long-lived series.

I’ve rarely lost an encounter where I’ve felt I was the victim of shoddy mechanics— rarely, but it does happen. *Game modes are so varied that there’s bound to be something for any gamers who’ve ever found joy from shooting things with virtual bullets.

I personally have no interest in the Warzone portion of the game, but love the deathmatch and “Domination” modes— especially when playing with friends. MEH: *I rarely run into blatant online jerkery, but when you see/hear it, people can ruin a whole evening and it’s something I think Activision can only do so much to combat.

Racism, misogyny, and garden-variety griefers are just present enough to remind you that we live in a world with some unquestionably awful people. *Maps are varied in design and diverse in size, but about 50% of the standard multiplayer maps I look upon with a scale ranging from “mildly annoying” to “100% avoidable”.

* For as many weapons as there are in the game, several of the classes have a a few redundant-feeling entries (ex: M13 and M4 rifles are separated mostly by a few exclusive attachments. Half the SMG’s are just variations on a theme).

LOATH: *Legacy gameplay quirks! Quick-scoping. Why is this still a thing? Changing directions while sliding. Jumping while shooting?!? (Experience the recoil of a 12 gauge shotgun— or dare say— a. 50 caliber rifle in real life with both feet on the ground and then tell me what you think the likelihood of hitting anything whilst leaping would be.

) I’m not looking for 100% realism from a Call of Duty game, but there are too many players hopping about the map for my practical sensibilities. *Cheaters! Third-party programs/accessories that help you do everything from auto-aim to highlighting enemies are readily available online, and it’s not just a “PC” problem; PS4 hacks are common.

Lately, I feel like every 3rd match I’m reporting someone for blatant cheating. To make matters more frustrating, I’m told in past COD games, Activision was able to identify cheaters and relegate them to “Cheater only servers”.

To my knowledge, they’ve been unable to do that in this version. FINAL THOUGHTS: The good definitely outweighs the bad and I wish I’d given this online experience a chance sooner. Honestly, if Activision could find a way to curtail the rampant cheating, this would be a definite 5-Star review.

Ordered this for my son’s birthday and and while it came cracked in the center they were quick to send out a new one to replace it Even told me to just keep the old one! Game works perfectly and as it should! I found DK.

Oldies two years ago and have been using them for all my gaming needs since. Everything is cheap and comes in near perfect condition every single time. If you ever have any problems they are quick to help you and find a solution to solving the problem! You even earn points towards free stuff as you shop which i think is pretty cool! I definitely recommend them for all your gaming needs.

Amazing game. Although the multiplayer is pretty difficult for me, (I’m a noob) I enjoyed it very much. Spec Ops is a great co-operative mode to play with friends and can get intensely joyful. The campaign is the best part about this work of art.

It offers relatable characters, a surprising plot, fun and unrepetitive missions and an addictive bonus level. The only parts I disliked about this game was the Rio missions and some of the crappy maps.

Other than that, this is a 95% masterpiece.

Nostalgia alert! I spent many, many, MANY hours playing this game online. It was the first game I truly got into. I got very competitive and used to love going on the headset and meeting new people which was way easier than it is these days.

I made many friends on there, in random lobbies, some of which are still my friends in real life many years later. This game provided me with an escape from my life when I needed it and became way more than that.

Also had some of the best maps for multiplayer ever, I miss climbing ledges, quick scoping and generally being able to run around having fun. Peace MW2.

I purchased this game for my son. He loves it. He said that this particular game has 3 version of Call of duty Modern Warfare on it. He loves playing on line with other players. The graphics are amazing.

And the price was very affordable, a great buy. I do reccomend purchasing this video game. You will not be disappointed.

I got this trilogy game set with a system bundle for Xbox. I ordered the bundle set for my husband. He is a call of duty gamer fan lol the bundle set I ordered was a heck of a deal and my husband is very happy with the games.

I was happy with the purchase my self as I got a great deal on it so that helped me save some money.

Despite not often enjoying FPS games set during WW2, I kept an open mind going in to CoD Vanguard. I wasn’t expecting a great game considering Sledgehammer’s uninspired first attempt at WW2, unimaginatively titled “CoD WW2”, but I wasn’t going in to this game expecting to dislike it based off SHG’s (Sledgehammer Games) first attempt at making a game set in the 40’s era.

I won’t give a long analysis or give away any spoilers regarding the campaign, but it isn’t as if you’ll desire playing past the 45 minute mark. To say the least; Vanguards story & dialogue is tragic at best.

No memorable characters despite playing as multiple soldiers across the world during the most prolific & horrific conflict in history. They’re bland & uninteresting, no character in the story contains any amount of charisma, funny or interesting moments, or any amount of intelligent thinking.

I wouldn’t consider any characters, playable or NPC to be close to serviceable for a “story driven experience”. Speaking of story, it does have one thing going for it- While playing as multiple characters through out the game, meeting many officers, civilians & other generic filler AI, the “story” remains consistent in being pathetic, unappealing, unimpressive & dull through out.

If you’re at the point with the series where you only purchase a game due to it’s campaign, you’re better of purchasing Half-Life 1 & 2 for an immaculate first person story experience. This pathetic attempt to create an appealing & emotional story is as unsuccessful as Blockbuster is in 2021.

Multiplayer is similar to the campaign as it’s uninspired, lazy & as forgettable as it gets. Maps are convoluted, with seemingly 10 ways to get shot from in every room & corridor. The time to kill near is instant, giving you virtually no way to react if you get shot in the back.

(As mentioned, with the complex maze like maps you’ll be getting shot from the back or side constantly. ) That’s not mentioning the horrific gun “balance”, or lack there of more appropriately said. Only a few weapons are favourable, the remainder will not be touched by the majority of players as they’ll receive a major disadvantage at all ranges.

Bugs are literally unmissable, if I do reluctantly play a game I’ll encounter at least one immersion breaking bug per game. I only wishing I were exaggerating, unfortunately not. If I do decide to destroy my mental stability & play more than one game, I’ll consistently encounter game breaking bugs through out.

Regardless of your ping or opposing players connection quality, you’ll consistently be encountering intrusive bugs. Skill Based Match Making (SBMM) is as evident as ever, you’ll only be playing against people of your skill level.

Which never allows you to sit back, relax & enjoying playing a game. That’s perhaps the worst part of this game, you either commit to trying your best every game, or you don’t play it at all. Regardless of your decision, you will not be having any fun.

Zombies is not even worth mentioning, the maps are as offencively uninspired & convoluted as the various ones in multiplayer, hostiles are pathetically programmed & forgettable to say the least. Nothing about this game has any redeeming qualities, it is another disgusting attempt by Activision to milk this once beloved series that somehow manages to continue to decline 10 years past its peak.

Please do not purchase this game as you’ll be thoroughly disappointed as I am. Thank you.

Having played COD games since PS2 days all the way to PS5 you can really appreciate how far these games have come and the work put into it. I’m really enjoying the campaign as it really feels like a great WWII add on to the over populated High Tech Modern style games we have had.

I love my MW and MW2 and Black ops 1 and Black Ops 2 game but its nice to get another decent WWII shooter. It may not be the best COD but still great fun in Single Player and Multiplayer online. As far as maps go they are just that another COD style maps.

They might not be as colorful as other COD games but my TV gave me great visuals and colors where they needed to be. They wanted to make the game feel like it use to be during those times. Yes the game can be dull with bland colors and grey atmosphere but WWII never was Rainbow colors and Unicorns it was damp, dreary and bold.

I did enjoy this game and I do hope they keep making WWII style games as there are so many stories that can be told from that war. I do get that its just another wash, rinse and repeat but now days most of these shooters are.

Yeah you have your War Zones and Battlefield 2042 coming soon that are massive maps but its still the same formula since the day you could get into vehicles in Multiplayer games just larger scale and pretty looking.

I myself play War Zone and will play Battlefield 2042 when it arrives but its nice to jump back in and play something that feels and looks older once in a while. The guns feel just like your other COD WWII games and sound the same.

I do like the fact you can sort of give orders and make your team members ( in campaign ) supress fire and move here and things like that but its nothing to write home about. Acting is good and visuals look great on a decent TV with nice frame rate.

If anything if you don’t want to pick this up now I would say grab it when on sale or something as like I said its still great fun for a COD game. I would recommend this game if you want another WWII game to add to your collection or want boots on the ground.

I held off on getting this one because I’m tired of the rinse and repeat format; ESPECIALLY for WWII themed installments. However, I was actually pretty pleased with the return of reboot MW’s mechanics/engine! My only complaint is the large selection of sights for guns.

There are so many that are just clones offering the same stats with only them having cosmetic differences. The Zombies modes are okay at best. The devs were really trying to reinvent the wheel by introducing a new mode that has a semi-open world concept, but is objective-based at heart.

I’m not a huge fan of the modes only bc the completion of various objectives rely on players voting to do them. Every once in a while you will come across either a lobby that’s moving way too quick or (even worse) players that cannot compromise on which objectives to complete first.

So you end up sitting around. Overall, I like it! I haven’t played campaign, but heard it’s anthological. There is a set of mini campaigns kind of like how Battlefield 1 and V were.

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing CoD: Ghosts. The graphics are up to par for its time. It has an interesting storyline, and the gameplay is fun, comparable to the other Call of Duty titles. One of my favorite aspects of the game is how it makes you feel like you are the character, based on the perspective, the way that other characters communicate with you, well-timed controller vibration, involving cutscenes, and compelling story.

If you enjoy collecting trophies or achievements, on their respective consoles, I found this to be a consistently rewarding game, and the trophies “stack” for PS3 and PS4 (and, I’m assuming, 360 and Xbox One), so two platinums are obtainable from the title.

CoD: Ghosts has become one of my favorite games. In regards to the Hardened Edition, I personally found it to be worth the extra money. The Season Pass DLC was awarded for both PS3 and PS4 from one download code, and includes worthwhile additions to the game.

Also, the included bracelet was of good quality and cool-looking. The packaging was delightfully elaborate. Overall, it was an enjoyable, worthwhile set, and I am glad to have purchased it.

Modern Warfare 1, 2 and 3 are the biggest-selling and best-reviewed FPS titles in the history of gaming for a good goddamn reason you xbox and battlefield trollalicious wastes of space and time. And they are made by Infinity ward.

They have superb feel, perfect design for actual killing and action (not hiding in the corner and killing one person while feeling all that ‘suspense’ like in Battlefield snooze-fests, and yes, I own BF3 and it is craptastic), careful map design and great match-making, full lobbies et cetera.

Black Ops 1 and 2 are TREYARCH games – only PUBLISHED by Activision. A game’s feel and quality is dependent on its MAKERS and DEVELOPERS – NOT THE PUBLISHERS. Okay- Black Ops’ titles are vastly inferior to Modern Warfare iterations and only sell at 90% of MWs because 90% of the people playing are underage kids who have no taste (no offence, you are just minus your frontal lobes) and plenty of growing up to do in the discerning department.

Regardless, this will be a superb game as MW 1, 2 and 3 all were. Black Ops 2, like 1, was really a bit of a fail in comparison. Because minus Activision and copying killstreaks and what not, the games are unrelated in terms of feel and made by different people.

Feel is what dictates how good a game an FPS is online. But people who ‘like’ Battlefield and Black Ops always pretend this is the same as it is and was in Modern Warfares. This is categorically untrue.

And so it is cool to see that this is essentially MW4 and so bring it on. What cannot be debated however is that all of these games suffer from racist elite times and systems, endless trolling by players, rage fests from losers, plenty of nazi and drug flags and pictures over the profiles of all the morons you encounter online.

That you yourself will rage if hate losing, that noobs will hide instead of dying and expect to be good straight away and rage quit, that if hackers cannot ruin the game like they did with MW2 that they will be angrily wishing they could and hating on the game something merciless.

And it will, like all FPS games, leave you with that grumpy, washed out feel all these games give you after you have played online. Personally I loved these games, but I recently sold a couple. Got rid of the poohnacious Black Ops 2 finally (sold).

And I am not sure I can do it anymore. But don’t let these trollalicious morons put you off the superior fps game if you after an online fps and you like class games and can controll yourself / have fun, cos this is it.

Not Battlefield, not Far Cry 3 (even though that is better than BF). It is this. Like MW2 and 3 before it. They just play too well. End of story. Anything contrary is trolling BS.

Ever since I was a kid I grew up playing video games and call of duty has always been one of my favorite games to play. If you’ve ever wanted to join the army, fight terrorism, and go on secret missions in other countries,Black Ops 3 might be the game for you.

Black Ops 3 takes place in the year 2065 a time where soldiers are given cybernetic enhancements to battle against robotic super soldiers. Because of this there are more controls for you to learn how to use, so if you are still not comfortable with the basics, this game might be a challenge.

While on duty you will be shooting, jumping, and sliding all across the battlefield. Black Ops 3 has 3 main game modes: campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. The campaign tells the story of you and your partner traveling across the world to carry out missions for the CIA.

multiplayer is a competitive online game mode where you fight people in different game modes including: team deathmatch, capture the flag, and domination. Multiplayer is best played when you have an online connection otherwise you are just fight bots.

Zombies is a gamemode where you fight off a zombie horde with the guns you find on the wall and mystery box. With every bullet that hits a zombie the more points you get to use to buy better guns, perks, and weapon upgrades.

The DLC in Black Ops 3 makes the players experience more enjoyable, but is not required to play. If you buy any DLC pack it will come with 5 maps: 4 for multiplayer and 1 for the zombies gamemode. Most of the multiplayer maps are nothing special, but if you are a big fan of zombies then DLC is a must.

This game is best played on PS4, Xbox one, and PC, but are available on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. If you are playing on the PS4, Xbox one or PC the graphics for this game are, in my opinion, top-notch.

Everything from the building’s to the player models are very realistic and stunning. I would not recommend getting this game for anything that isn’t part of the new generation of consoles because the graphics on older consoles are much worse than on the newer ones.

Some features are also taken away on older consoles. Black Ops 3 is being sold new at gamestop for $60 which is standard for new games usually. If you think you can handle the control updates, and you have $60 dollars to spend I would highly recommend getting this game.

This game has given me a lot of joy from the time I have played it.

I bought these for my sons 11th birthday, having seen him enjoy watching gameplay on YouTube (I highly recommend Blitzwinger, hes got clean language and my son loves him). Both games involve some puzzle solving, not just a point and shoot platform game.

You need to investigate everywhere in order to find all the missing components. The cut scenes are well crafted in Knack I, but Knack II takes the graphics to a whole new level. They are so detailed and pull you into the story.

I was quite happy for my son to play Knack I, despite the 12 cert and dont understand quite why it was issued such a high rating. There is very little difference between I & II to explain why the first is higher.

I have a very strict ruling when it comes to certification, and if I had not seen the gameplay on YouTube, would not have bought Knack I. However, there is no bad language and the violence is no different to the sequel.

I would recommend both games for 7+ players. The main difference between the two games, other than quality of graphics, is that in Knack II you dont lose your relics when you shrink down. They follow you through the space and then rebuild you to your former height.

It cuts down on frustration levels greatly. My son is loving his games, and I am now the most popular member of the family!.

Disc looked good except one spot that was damaged and I could not finish install with it. I had to start install with that disc and finish install using disc that was also damaged from games top. Was disappointing that the disc looked so good but the one spot with a little dent in it.

Still like the store and have already purchased other items that came in great condition.

This game is decent to say it best. I was not all that jazzed about the campaign. I don’t really play zombies that much. So really for me it is multiplayer. I liked somethings about it and like always there are things I hate.

The perk system is ok, especially if you like to upgrade your weapons and have several attachments, but this just overpowers certain guns to a ridiculous point. The weapon choices are ok, like always there is a variety to choose from to suit your play style.

I don’t like the fact that finishing moves are locked behind battle pass. You should be able to earn these in gameplay, and not having to complete every stage in the battle pass season. Some of us can’t grind like that all day.

But making these things achievable like finishing moves, character unlocks, skins, through challenges and gameplay would make it better. There should be a happy medium between players who just want to spend the $ for the game and enjoy it and those who want to spend an infinite amount of money to unlock everything there is that the game has to offer.

I think they should put some stuff in there that we can earn or trade in prestige tokens for. Still sell your battle pass for those with the deep pockets and give your other players a chance to unlock some of this stuff without having to shell out.

Give us something. The free bundles they give are usually nothing to get excited for. I know that this is the way it is, but it would make your audience appreciate you more if you gave them that happy medium.

Black Ops Cold War is a really good game, when it works. The game has been rushed and is in beta stage, at best, for the Series X. I’ve lost all audio from the game regularly, requiring a reboot. I’ve lost all game audio but kept the chat audio multiple times, requiring reboot.

One level of the campaign crashes at least once every time I play it, and this last time I played it, it crashed 4 times in about 12 minutes. Another mission gives you a sniper rifle on the side of a mountain, and if you dare to look through the scope at surrounding mountains, it produces graphics glitches that sometimes crash the game.

Trying to get a second player registered with Activision for split screen will lock the player into an infinite loop of error messages and registration pages, requiring a reboot to exit. If you do get a second player in split screen (they’ll need to be registered with Activision first), they will likely be locked out of their class creation.

Trying to load certain maps with a guest account for the second player can crash the game. The custom game creation is a dumpster fire, and they clearly never bothered to test it because the menus for setting up custom game rules are completely broken, listing weapons in the perks and equipment slots and preventing most of the restrictions from being used.

Setting up games with bots requires a lot of trial and error as there are two different menus where this can be done (usually. sometimes one disappears), but the options aren’t at all the same. In one menu, I was able to set bot difficulty unless I had already put in the maximum number of bots, and then I had to reboot to set the difficulty, while the other menu didn’t allow for setting the bot difficulty at all.

Some of the maps available will remove all bots from the game and prevent them from being added back when you change to another map, requiring another reboot. And as of today, they added a massive patch that has now locked me out of the game and tells me to purchase the full game.

I expect some hiccups with updates, but I get the impression that the developer really only ever fully tested the standard multiplayer modes where they knew the vast majority of the players would spend their time.

The rest of the game hasn’t had adequate Quality Control. Like I said, it’s a good game when it works. I like it better than any other COD since Modern Warfare 3, though I haven’t yet played the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot.

I have been a COD player for many years. I usually play through the campaign as well as play multiplayer. This year’s game has many pluses that I wasn’t expecting Note – I am playing on a Series X Campaign – Short, OK story, graphics look great and it runs butter smooth.

Multiplayer – is great as always. While it is typical COD multiplayer this years version is great to me. There is a lot of small additions that I like and while I play COD every year I sometimes got frustrated with the quick twitch shooter that it is.

I am not sure why but I average more kills than I do in most versions and I am not sure why. Maybe it is the number of frames it is running at on my Series X that is making the difference. I usually only play Team Deathmatch but here is what I like: – points continually build to get your kill steaks.

– equipment stays until it is destroyed or used – weapon customization – weapon feel great as always – runs at least 60 fps Things I don’t like: – Quick scope kills for snipers. That has been a problem for years and it continues -couple bugs in the equipment screen that shows there is something new available but there isn’t -It can be a little slow to get into a match -There a no big team deathmatch like last year.

Limited to 6 per team So overall I was pleasantly surprised with this years version of COD. I will continue to enjoy it until some more new games get released.

I was hoping to relive those great Modern Warfare memories, but they should remain memories. There is nothing wrong with the game itself, it is the greed surrounding it that has completely tainted my experience.

The game is the same old thing just touched up, which is good but underwhelming. The first major problem is for a remaster, and I assume definitive version of the game, you only get the core of the original for multiplayer.

None of the additional maps are included. BUT WAIT, you can still buy them for full price like a decade ago. The second biggest aggravation, and the one that pushed me over the edge is, IT STILL REQUIRES A 70 GB MANDATORY DOWNLOAD in addition to installing the game!!!! Why do you ask? So they can add a MULTIPLAYER CASH GRAB hub where you can spend more of your money on crates.

It is literally just as if they peeled the xbox360/PS3 stickers off of the discs, resold them to you, and you digitally download the new version of the game! This game takes more space on your hard drive than any AAA game released to date.

The best re-imagining of any old school title ever made. Period. Everything is how you remember it, graphics are pumped up beyond my expectations and the new animations are smooth and feel original. The new weapons are a bit much in my opinion but its largely unchanged.

New game modes are a welcome surprise but equally fun to play as the old stuff. See you in Ground War.

This remaster is great. This game comes from a time when the direction was realism and the warfare was realistic. No bright fortnite colors, no video game wall jumping or sliding, no super futuristic gadgets.

The action is fast. Weapons and kill streaks are things that exist for the most part. The original was a breakthrough for its time and the remaster looks great in 4K. Oh yeah, this COD has a story that doesn’t suck.

Play it.

The game is fun and all but honestly if this is your first fps this game maybe a little hard. In my opinion this is a frustrating game at times. The campaign in my opinion was boring and made no sense so I suggest to skip it.

Multiplayer is pretty fun with friends but also fun alone. Zombies is best part about the game in my opinion. The shipping and all took the estimated amount of time but on tracking my order it was sent to the wrong post office.

A very good game, it was delivered to me in perfect condition and exactly when Target said it would. I would recommend this game to any person that likes first person shooters. Affinity contender for best Xbox game this year, plus its co-op is much better than Halo 5.

Didn’t disappoint. Only got four stars cause I feel they could have made it more compatible with people who have bad eye-sight like myself. It seems like all the maps/levels are a bit dark and won’t adjust properly for people such as myself.

My husband kept seeing the commercial on tv for this game and kept hinting he wanted it. Sure enough he got it, but after Christmas since the price went down tremendously. Worth the wait for him. Awesome story line and graphics.

The whole COD series is great as you will see by my other reviews. Unfortunately it is hard for me to give COD Black Ops 4 a fantastic review as I played the newer games in the series first. Although saying that, I can definitely see how great this game would have been at the time of release and how todays games have been developed from this.

Recommended if you want to start you COD journey from the early days.

I bought this game when it first came out it for my husband on his xbox and i have been watching him play and i was so jealous that i didnt have it for myself. I wanted all the perks but didnt want to spend the extra cash.

well this was a STEAL! Season pass, cd points, all the bells and whistles, including custom made patches, pop socket and art work! This edition is better than the one i bought him, guess because i bought his as a downloadable version on his xbox so he only got the points, season pass and character content.

I am so over the moon about the amazing deal I scored! MUST BUY! But be warned that you will need to have a UK Playstation account to download the dlc content. I live in the states and I was unsure how to get my perks but it was super simple to set up another ps account with an email i already have and sign it in as another user on my playstation.

Since i have my ps4 set to primary all “users” can enjoy any content and games download to the ps4. It took a lil extra work but for the price its definitely worth it!! Thank you!!.

I’ve purchased all of the Call Of Duty games and this one is they only one I’ve enjoyed since Black Ops 3! You can customize your player in zombie mode. FINALLY!! Customizing characters and weapons will take a bit of getting used to but it’s not overly complicated.

I kinda wish they had more of the old weapons from Black Ops 3 but it’s not a big deal. One other complaint is if u play split screen the screens are so squished and u can’t stretch them out all the way to the edge of the screen, that’s makes it pretty difficult to read stuff and see things clearly.

I saw a lot of complaints about internet connection but it works great online for us so I really don’t know what ppl are talking about. Another complaint I saw was about small maps. really!? The ones I played (mainly zombies) so far are huge! So basically, don’t judge this game because of a few negative reviews, I almost passed it up because of that but I’m so glad I didn’t! Smooth game play and controls, tons of customization, bots available in zombie mode for local play, and of course great graphics.

One of the best selling games ever with a massive online gaming culture its the best call of duty on par with maybe black ops 2 a close second. Beautifully made with controls often mimicked today as so good Graphics and sound design still outstanding.

A real gem. As I said. Still cuts the mustard. They say imatation is the highest form of flattery. If so Activision nailed this back in 2009.

No campaign. That really spoils it for me. I knew that before I bought it but still wanted it. The multiplayer, in only my opinion, gets boring quick. I’ve wanted a decent COD for years and I’m still waiting.

They were the game to look forward to and always blew me away with graphics and scenes, loved them. Now they are cashing in doing hardly any work. Better games out there. Still looking for a decent FPS with story, campaign and multiplayer.

A game needs a good story I think. Never got tired of modern warfare 1 or 2. 3, meh. Shame. Hopefully they do something decent this year and not ww2 or ww1 or rediculous futuristic setting. Modern warfare, stick to that but call it something else.

I expected more, was let down. Maps are too big too believe it or not! You can be walking around for minutes without seeing any action. Assassin’s creed odyssey, now that’s a good game. Not FPS though.

Overall it gets boring quick and feels like no effort was made. I expect more from cod. Very disappointed.

The case and disc came in incredible condition that basically looked brand new. This game got a lot of backlash for being boots off ground, but the story was one of the best stories in a Call Of Duty game.

Being able to customize your loadout before any campaign mission and also to customize your ship is pretty awesome. Being able to do mini side missions as well in the campaign makes it even more better.

If you like playing single player first person shooters then you should definitely give this a shot.

My boyfriend got this game when it first came out. I believe this game causes unhealthy competition and conflict towards others. My boyfriend neglects responsibilities because he’s addicted to playing.

Our landlord is probably going to evict us over him screaming at the game every night at one in the morning and he’s so loud I have to sleep on the couch and the neighbors hate us because they can hear him.

I’ve decided to start breaking a game disk for every night I don’t get to sleep in the bed I’m still paying for. This game is annoying repetitive and just like every other shooter game I’ve seen PlayStation needs to go back to creating more creative video games something everyone can enjoy.

Not everyone wants to play video games that involve blowing things up. I miss the old days like spyro kingdom hearts now all you see is shooter games everywhere. It’s boring create something everyone can enjoy that’s not going to drive wives insane or promote violence and an unhealthy mindset.

I’d rather him play nothing but minecraft than touching this game. Just my opinion who know I’m not a guy I don’t know why a guy finds these games interesting.

Many reviews complained about how standard the multiplayer mode is while praised the single player campaign. I happily bought this game because I was only interested in the single player campaign but even that is not very good (at least not for me).

This installment seems to expect that you already an expert at playing call of duty (or other first person shooters) and didn’t provide much hand holding. It just throw you in the middle of the action and yelled out or put up some onscreen instructions for you to do something but most of the time, I had no idea what to do.

I couldn’t differentiate enemies from friends as they looked too similar in the heat of action. but the biggest problem for me with this game was the high level of difficulty – I played on the easiest (recruit) difficulty and ammo was very limited while enemies can absorb bullets like sponges.

I just die a lot while reloading or looking for ammo. Getting shot at and killed by some unseen enemies or blown up by grenades is also a norm. My original plan was to play this game for about 30 to 45 minutes each day while I exercise on my stationary bike but I often gave up 15 or 20 minutes in because it was so frustrating.

May be I will revisit this game when I’m better at the genre or have watched all the play through videos.

Having been fortunate enough to own a PS5 on launch day and now an Xbox Series X for about a week or so I can confidently say that I do not regret my purchase. Admittedly at first I was cautious, however considering Microsoft’s recent acquisition of multiple award winning game studios I decided to future-proof my gaming.

At first I was a little underwhelmed by the lack of Xbox exclusive titles, after all I’d come from the likes of Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift apart. However, I can say those worries have quickly been put to rest by the extensive catalogue of games available on Game Pass, the native upscaling of older games has also been a treat and seeing some of my favorite old games come to life in the way that Banjo Kazooie or Fable have is both nostalgic and refreshing.

If that wasn’t enough the guarantee of games from studios like XGS and now Bethesda studio on release day makes Game Pass a no-brainer in my opinion. All this and we haven’t even discussed quick resume yet, I cannot stress enough just how unbelievably convenient this little feature is and I’ve come from being blown away by its sheer speed to almost expecting it- sure the PS5 has incredible loading speeds but the ability to completely bypass all loading screens and instantly pick up from where you left off is something that cannot be beaten.

This becomes especially apparent when switching from a single player game to multiplayer games with friends and doing it on the fly feels so, so good. I’ve come from being on the fence about Microsoft’s latest and greatest to finding myself just naturally turning towards it whenever I’m gaming, the sheer variety of games available on Game Pass coupled with the practicality of quick resume has meant that I find less and less reason to pick up my dual sense controller.

Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to first party exclusives I still believe PlayStation truly have something magical and I’m super excited for the release of games like God Of War: Ragnarok, SpiderMan 2 and Forspoken however that’s just it I find that other than first party exclusives I have no real compelling reason to play the Ps5, after all why purchase a triple AAA third party title for £50 when I can potentially experience it for free on release day for £10 a month on Game Pass? I’m not here to convince you that one is better than the other after all they both satisfy different needs for me, I love them both and look forward to seeing what the future holds for the next gen of consoles.

I’ve had enough of waiting on Sony to release the PS5. I’ve heard from a number of people including someone who works for Sony in the PS distribution teams, that Sony is hoarding PS5s in it’s warehouses to drive up scarcity & in doing so, causing people to panic buy their console like it will never come.

From the mid 1990s I’ve got the original Play-station, PS2 (both versions) PS3 (Both versions) & a PS4 (standard late 1TB edition) & all are in full working order so you might be thinking why have I switched.

I’m a long time PS gamer & never had time for Xbox as it seemed too much like a PC which I already had. I talked with some people who already have a PS5 & an Xbox series X or S console. All of them(including two who own 2 tech stores)had more favourable reviews of the Xbox over the PS5 from the Xbox easy ability to switch through games & apps & quick resume to it’s hardware which is superior to the PS5 plus a lot of titles on PS are on Xbox.

I decided rather than wait for Sony to make more consoles available, to buy the Xbox series x with the game pass. I’ve not been disappointed. It’s quicker than the PS5 I tested, it works with my TV by providing Dolby ATMOS & Vision(Dolby app on Xbox store + a compatible TV are required)for games & movies from the apps so these look and sound amazing.

I found the PS4 & 5 worked against me a bit with HDMI settings. The Xbox is quiet (remember the jet taking off inside your PS4) with only one light on the front of the console & on the controller. It can be place upright or on it’s side and while it is a bit heavy & larger than the Xbox one, it trumps the PS5 for ease of handling & size.

The controller is easy to use and with games I was already familiar with, it was easy to pick up & I’m playing games I never would have bothered with on PS5. The build quality of the console and controllers has a premium feel plus there is no bulky transformer for the power supply (standard 2 PIN connecter to 3 pin plug) with this console which I know from friends with previous Xbox consoles that this was an annoyance.

You also get a HDMI cable that is around 2 metres long included in the box so long enough to reach from the console to the TV. The PS3 nor 4 had a HDMI cable that long. Check the full specs on the Xbox website for more info on the console.

The all access package gives 24 months access to the Xbox/Microsoft store with 100 free game titles each month plus discounts on others. Sure Sony only charges £50 per year but only offers between 1 – 3 free games per month with discounts on others.

The Xbox series x is not perfect however. Several issues that frustrate my with Xbox console are that it’s controllers don’t come with a rechargeable battery out of the box. Fair that these are sold at reasonable prices separately so when battery degradation kicks in, these are easily replaced unlike PS wireless controllers which need to be replaced completely unless you have the knowhow to change the battery but it would be nice to have a rechargeable battery pack included with the Xbox initial setup or a discount voucher for a battery pack.

In some games, the A button takes a second or two to respond which can be critically fatal in some game situations. The console can’t be shut down completely unless you go into the settings and select the option.

Otherwise it’s in a shutdown but standby mode drinking expensive electricity like it’s going out of fashion! The Xbox has been a real eyeopener for me as a gamer and while I didn’t like the previous generations, I do like this one.

I’ll miss some titles like the Uncharted series but aside from this, it’s still a worthwhile change for me. Sony are going to lose users & customers to Xbox but then they always seem to have issues with the odd numbered consoles.

Who remembers all the issues with their launch of the PS3 (Seeing one smashed to bits with a sledge hammer was surreal) or the burned out consoles from playing L. A. Noire which neither Sony or Rockstar would take responsibility for.

My brother who currently has our PS & PS2 console is going over to Xbox now. He’s tired of waiting for Sony and after testing a PS5 of a friend(who’s reaction to the PS5 was meh) plus reading several reviews, is not that impressed with the PS5 either.

To keep it brief, this console is amazing. The last Xbox I had was the 360. I’ve always been a Playstation consumer, but the Xbox Series X has me really excited for Microsoft’s future. I currently own the PS5 and it’s a great console no doubt, but I feel as if the Xbox console itself is more premium in quality.

The PS5 has a more premium controller while the Series X has a more premium console. I’m not really into the whole “Playstation is better” or “Xbox is better” debate. They are both awesome consoles but since getting the Series X, I have been enjoying it more than my PS5.

Game Pass was a new concept for me. I know people who currently have Xbox One’s have had Game Pass for a while, but it was amazing for me given I haven’t had an Xbox since the 360. I can confidently say that Xbox is doing an amazing job with Game Pass.

It is far better than Playstation Plus and the Playstation Plus premium package deals. Makes the Xbox actually feel like a gaming console rather than a pay a lot to play. One dollar for the first month of Game Pass, and then it’s $15 a month to continue the subscription.

I just canceled my Netflix and can say I’ve used Game Pass more than Netflix and I actually don’t have all the time in the world to play games either. The insides of this console are incredible. I watched a teardown of both the Series X and the PS5.

The Series X is much more impressive with the parts and pieces that are actually pretty pricey parts and it amazes me that they managed to keep the price at $500 still. If you’re asking yourself, do I get a PS5 or a Series X.

I would of course say get both, but given that Sony has been increasing the price of the PS5 and it is not as easy to come by, I would say get the Series X and don’t stress about the PS5 right now. The Series X is much easier to get, the design of it in my opinion despite it being very minimalist, is actually nicer than the PS5 and it’s a little smaller than it too, and you can finally enjoy next gen gaming without having scavenge for a PS5.

Game Pass is great to have as well and with it you can play basically every new game, and has titles that start from the original Xbox all the way to Xbox One/Series XS. Also if you’re like me and have a few Original Xbox games and Xbox 360 games, you can actually play them on your Series X because Microsoft actually made their console backwards compatible.

If you’ve been more of a Playstation person I feel your hesitation, but this console is actually worth it. Not hating on Sony but I wish they had made their consoles backwards compatible like the Series X.

But yeah if you’re wanting to play next gen games, get the Series X and get the PS5 later when they come out with a Slim or Pro model. Overall I didn’t expect to like it this much.
