The best bra for neck and back pain is one that fits snugly and supports the breasts without putting too much pressure on them. It should also have wide straps that distribute weight evenly and don’t dig into the skin.

As a Physical Therapist we’re often faced with the challenge of correcting posture to reduce pain. One such condition where this becomes crucial is Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). We’re often successful in reducing or eliminating radiating pain but unfortunately reoccurrence rates can be high, especially if the patient participates in more challenging or longer duration activities utilizing the shoulders.
The AlignMed sports bra has been a critical tool to address these patients symptoms. All four of my patients in the last 6 months with TOS whom have utilized the AlignMed sports bra rave that the product allows them to perform activities pain free that would otherwise cause them discomfort.
My patients believe the bra helps teach them how to properly retract and depress their scapulas outside of therapy. More amazingly, most have stated that even several hours after they remove the sports bra they’re able to reproduce or maintain that desired posture.
Another recent patient, whom is a primary care physician, finds relief from the sports bra so much she wears it daily as her primary undergarment and has found it to eliminate her upper thoracic spine pain completely.
As a Physical Therapist I will continue to recommend the AlignMed sports bra to patients with various upper body impairments as a tool to help them succeed in reducing and eliminating their pain.
I had a knee replacement 2 years ago with residual discomfort in my R knee and hip with walking more than 3 miles. A year later I had a bad fall that required 8 months of Physical Therapy for muscle injury to my hips, knees, upper back and both shoulders.
It was after completing Physical Therapy that I was introduced to Alignmed. Their Posture support Bra and Posture Shirt provided extreme relief. The Posture Support Bra offers more posture support, and the shirt offers milder support and is a compression garment.
In addition to a physical restriction, they both signal the brain to pull the shoulders back and maintain posture. This surprisingly occurs even on the few days one decides not to wear the garment. It helps me on the computer and while walking.
I have a neck injury that results in pain in my neck and shoulder. I’ve been seeing a physical therapist for years but the pain has never went away. My physical therapist recommended I try the Posture Sports Bra from Alignmed because her other clients have had success with the brand.
I have been focusing my efforts in the past 6 months on trying to help lessen my shoulder/neck pain so I’ve been doing several different approaches and I know for a fact that the Alignmed Posture Sports Bra has been one of the factors that has lessened my pain.
My shoulder pain used to be constant and now it is not. I noticed this difference within a few days of wearing the bra. I’ve also noticed that it has helped my posture, not only my pain which in turn also helps with my type of injury.
I only wear Alignmed Posture Sports Bras now. I have posture sports bras for working out and posture sports bras for everyday wear. I notice when I have to wear a different bra because of an outfit I’m wearing or my posture sports bras are all in the wash, my shoulder can’t take it for too long and I start noticing the pain coming back.
I also noticed my muscles are stronger and it takes longer to tire our my shoulder. When I work out, I feel this sports bra puts me in better posture when I’m executing my workouts which helps alleviate pain but building muscles the right way (no compensating or bad form).
The Nike Indy sports bra rethinks comfort by placing the closure on the front to make it easier to adjust the fit. The soft fabric (made from at least 50% recycled polyester) is designed to provide better breathability in areas of high heat, while the removable pads provide comfort and support.
The Swoosh mesh side panels offer an unparalleled level of breathability. The V-neck and mesh center also promote airflow. Soft stretch fabric with Dri-FIT technology wicks sweat for faster evaporation, keeping you dry and comfortable.
The Nike logo on the front of the straps allows you to quickly adjust the fit without having to lean back. Removable pads insert and remove from the top for a quick and easy fit. Pad pockets have mesh sides to keep pads in place.
Flat seams are taped to create a soft feel against the skin that allows the bra to be worn all day long.
Some of the activities I experienced in this bra included reformer pilates, yoga, weight training, plyometrics, running, cycling, and everyday wear. When I tried the bra on for the first time I wasn’t sure what to think because of the style, but I was surprised to see how well it fit and felt.
In the past when I’ve tried bras with an elastic banding I’ve had chaffing below my chest from the combination of the sweat and fabric rubbing. My experience with this choice was positive and with zero chaffing! The fabric was also breathable from the different fabrics around the bra.
I would have to say my favorite part about this bra is the versatility, however, I will say when I engaged in activities that required constant movement from one position to another the pads on the bra would rise.
I wish the openings for the pads were built-in on the lower corners and not at the top of the bra because I would find myself adjusting the pads once I was finished with my workouts from time to time.
Aside from that, I found the bra very comfortable to wear!.
I am a full time student who loves to workout. Nike is my go to when it comes to athletic wear. I usually wear Nike if I’m working out or even just as a casual outfit for class. This sports bra is perfect because it has adjustable straps so whether you like your sports bra tight or loose, you can make it work.
Another feature is that it’s crossed in the back, so the straps aren’t going to slide off your shoulders. Lastly the light padding is perfect because it’s not too heavy to where it’s uncomfortable but it’s not too light to where you could see your nipples through the fabric.
The mesh on the inside is great for when you are sweating, so you won’t feel too hot but instead it’s breathable material. The silky and mesh outside just makes the product look good to where I would wear this alone without a shirt over it.
Overall, this product is a 10/10 and I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
The Elomi Kelsey bralette provides lingerie to be seen and innovative design. The outer bralette is cut from a powerful stretch lace featuring a tropical leaf design. Bottom edge has a soft foldover elastic for all day no-dig comfort and elasticated neck edge for ease of fit.
Flexible back sweep construction allows easier adjustment to racer back with moveable J-hook. Silver ring detail at the apexes. Back is lined with powernet for good anchorage and support. Foldover elastics and a chimney back for a smoothing effect.
The Inner plunge bra gives a forward shape, good uplift and separation. 61% Polyamide, 29% Elastane, 10% Polyester.
I like Elomi. This is evidently based on their ‘plunge’ shape (a fuller cup than most ‘plunges’) The J cup is very generous, as J’s seem to be nowadays (it’s bigger than the old Sachi style, which in 32J is a bit too small in the cup for me) Plenty of smooth lacy material over the beige inner cup too, in a modern design (it has a seam coming up from the bottom of each cup – you might want to size down to stretch the lace more if you’re not full-on-top to remove the resulting little ‘bump’) It works well under a too-low-cut top/dress.
It’s still slightly too big in the cup for me, but I imagine after lukewarm (hand) washing it might ‘tighten’ up a bit. It has a J hook which I like as it pulls my bottom-heavy boobs together more. I do find with Elomi that my boobs sit a bit too far apart (centre gore too wide?) and I don’t get very much lift/shape (I do miss Bravissimo’s Candy Bliss shape!), the wires are too wide and the apex’s a tad high – but I like the sexy designs, usually with full briefs to match! Yay! Plus I don’t fall out of the cups which will often happen with the new ‘full-on-top’ J+ cup shapes.
All in all, I like it, I’ve only dropped a star because of too-wide wires, and hope Bravissimo will stock it in the Petrol colourway!.
First ever elomi bra, won’t be the last. Went to Birmingham shop, staff were brilliant, my daughter chose this for my Xmas present and I looked at it and thought no way! How wrong was I, it’s brilliant, comfy, supportive and so good to look at.
I’ve been washing it to put it back on it’s so comfortable. It’s not really a bralette it’s a proper bra. I’ve worn it racer back as well. The lace is so unusual I wore it with a denim shirt dress and I had the buttons undone quite low down to show it off! Don’t think I would have gone for it without my daughter as it’s very expensive but it’s worth every penny.
I got the matching briefs and they are very good too but the back leg elastic is quite bulky and gives a panty line under jeans, with a dress they are fine. Would love it in red. Best Xmas pressie, give it a go girls, it’s well worth it!.
Bras are tricky and complicated to fit if you are very large up top, and older (I am a British 36G and 64 years old). A British friend told me about the Elomi bras and I was delighted to find this style at Nordstrom.
Two months later I ordered another Kelsey in the second color. I just wish it were in beige/neutral also! The back is substantial, the side substantial, and the interior sling fits me perfectly! Love the style, and use it for everything, as it fits and performs better than any sports bra I had before.

I love the T back underwire bra. I have been buying them from you for years. My question and comment is this. Why are we not able to buy white bras now. I don’t have any at the moment and it has been many many months since being able to.
Not every outfit I wear can handle a colored bra. And the comment I have is, even though I love this bra, the underwire stabs you under your armpit. I have mentioned it several times over the years and have seen other comments relating to the same problem.
So why don’t you fix it? Using, folded over the wire, tissues, doesn’t cut it. You know I would buy more of these bra from you if you gave us a solution. Thank you again for reading this. Suzie Snow.
Love this bra! This is my second in this style. next will be the black one! This style is so perfect for me – I seem to have weird shoulders and my bra straps would always slide. It’s hard to be discreet constantly pulling them up.
With this style, no worries. And the ‘padded’ underwire area is wonderful. Fornt closure is just the icing on the cake!!This is, by far, the best fitting, most comfortable bra I have ever had. Much better, for me, than ones i have tried at literally twice the price.
Been searching for this bra for years!!🙃 Thank you Glamorise. ❤.

Well, it was (thus far). This bra is surprisingly comfortable, but I can feel it putting enough pressure on specific areas around my shoulders to pull them back slightly instead of slouching forward.
And it’s a miracle for me to say this because I’m a whip the bra off as soon as I’m in the door kind of woman. Hopefully it will hold up to it’s first day test, washing, etc. ! —- After a few months , these bras are still great.
Have held up well under washings, sweaty workouts, and daily wear. And I’d like to think they’ve played a small part in my neck and shoulders having less pain! Bumped to five ?!.
I haven’t had a normal bra in a long time. I wore different types, but they didn’t fit me. They made my clothes and breasts look awkward. This one fit exactly the right size. This is the first proper bra I have ordered, and it fits great!.
I bought this bra after heart surgery. Although this product didn’t fit me or come in my cup size. I loved everything about this bra. I wish this manufacturer would make this bra to fit all breast sizes.
Not just those having breast surgery. This will be perfect for those who have other medical needs yoo.
Cotton-lined cups with two adjustable rows of front closures. Crisscross power mesh back design gives extra support. Soft shoulder cushioning provides relief from strap dig-in. Polyesternylonspandexcotton knit.
First thing I do when returning home is remove my bra. Ahhhhhh. Not so this bra. It is oh so comfortable I almost forget I’m wearing it. The front closure is a gift from heaven because of my arthritis.
It is so wonderful to be able to do something as simple as putting on a bra without pain. If it’s possible to be in love with in inanimate article then I have to admit being in love with this bra.
This would’ve been the bra for me! I don’t understand why manufactures are putting the adjustable straps so far in back and only allowing a short adjustment. There was not enough to get a good lift. Another body type may have better luck.
Looking for a posture support bra that actually works? Look no further than the Everie Posture Support Bra. This ultra-comfortable bra features criss-cross PowerSlim bands to help improve your posture, while the wide elastic underbust band provides the support you need for any activity.
I just had rotator cup surgery along with some other bone surgery. It’s going to be a long time before I can hook a back hook bra. I ordered a front hook bra from the manufacturer of the current bras that I have, and the fit is tight and horrible.
I realized that my bust is entirely too big to go without a bra. I decided to try a back support bra. I decided to give Exquisite Form a try. I normally wear a 42i. I also design and sew clothing. I advise all those who wear BACK hook bras, to disregard maufacturers instructions and to get the correct bra size by doing the following: Band size is determined by measuring under the bust.
If you’re under 36″ and you’re measurement lands on an odd number, round up 1. If your 36″ or above, and you land on an odd number, round DOWN. Take the measurement across the fullest part of your chest, subtract your measurement from above to find your cup size.
75% of women will find that they need a smaller band and larger cup. Measuring like this ensures that the weight and support of your bust is carried by the frame, not your shoulders. However, after the problem with the other brand of front hook bra, and reading comments about this bra, I decided to take measurements like Exquisite instructed.
I took my upper chest measurement. It landed on an odd number, so I rounded UP. Then I took my fullest bust measurement, subtracting the upper chest measurement to get the difference. This put me at 46DD and not 42i.
A back hook bra in 46DD would ride up, because the frame would be way too big. Well, I got the bra today and I’m very surprised to find that it fits well. So far, it’s not riding up. It’s supporting my bust without putting undue stress on my shoulders.
My bust is lifted and separated. The hook closure lays on my chest when I’m standing up, as it should. If you get a trampoline between the girls, your brain is too small. I’ve only ordered one bra, but I’m about to order another.
The bra has firm, non-stretch support, which is why measuring is so important. Since the back and sides are wide, they control skin roll; there’s no excess back or underarm bulge. Everything lays flat, which is much more slimming.
I had no real difficulties putting the bra on. I can see where this is an issue if the bra isn’t properly fitted. The bra is well made and comfortable, as long as it’s measured right.
The quality of this bra is excellent. The back support is the best. I do not feel anything, which is such an improvement. Before bras with this back support, the backs of my bras cut in me as well as moved up.
I was constantly having to pull down the back of my bras. When I put this on, I forget about it. The straps are comfortable and stable. They contribute to the overall support. Love the front opening.
I only wear real t-shirts as home. I do, however, mainly wear knit tops that are a thin, slinky texture. The silhouette is smooth and do not see the seaming along the cup. It is also smooth in the back since it is staying put! That alone is a reason to buy this bra.
The straps are not adjustable. I do not consider that a minus with a support bra like this. It is difficult to make the wider and thicker straps adjustable. They are too long for me. When wearing a bra with adjustable straps, I always have to pull them up to about their shortest position.
I think it ludicrous to complain about a bra without adjustable straps when they don’t fit. The possible sizes between people is endless. Therefore, I shortened the straps. It does not take long to do, but now they fit perfectly.
I would rather have these straps than thinner adjustable ones. As long as they are too long, it is easy to shorten. If they were too short, I would lengthen them b/c I sew, but I imagine most would just return.
There is one sizing aspect of this bra that I almost took away one star. I read the reviews and saw the suggestion to size up. There were enough that I did just that. I was a 40D at the time and ordered 42D.
The fit around was fine and when I shortened the straps everything was fine. After I wore it a while I began to realize that the cup size really was a little too roomy. It was not terrible, but it really looked like the 40D would be better, however I figured it would not fit around since there was no wiggle room on this one.
I have been losing weight slowly and got this in July. Instead of ordering a 40D in anticipation of losing weight I went ahead and ordered a 38D. I am writing this in Sept. Even though my measurements were 38, the bra did not close.
I did shorten the straps as before. Everything was fine except for the fit around my chest. I went to the fabric store and got a bra extender. The longest one had 4 eyes to the bra’s 6. I got another one with 3 eyes – cut off one row of eyes, stitched them together and worked fine.
Now the 38D does fit my 38D measurements. This bra has only one row of eyes. It is such a good support bra otherwise, I would encourage the company who makes it to add at least one row of eyes — two would be better.
No a lot of customers would add the rows, instead would send it back. I like a variety of bras, so when my weight has stabilized, I will buy another. It is hard to find this quality in a support bra.
Knowing this, you need to either go up one size or buy your size and figure on getting a bra extender.
I really like this bra. It has a LOT of support without needing underwire or minimizing the breast. The straps are nice and broad, and the back is very wide so there are no unsightly back bumps. This bra supports through its firm fabric, so there is not a lot a stretch as you might find in the typical bra these days, so be sure to order your actual size (most bras these days you can fudge on, because they are so stretchy).
Ordering your actual size is even more important becuase it clasps in front, you can’t make the band bigger or smaller like you can with the traditional back strap, and because the shoulder straps are not adjustable.
That said, I do find it runs true to size, but I would size up in the band if you aren’t sure. I usually wear a 38 D or a 40 C, and the 40 C fit me perfectly in this bra. A 38 band size would have been too small.
The top decrative part makes this bra very attractive.
When fans requested a super supportive bra they could rely on, they heard them loud and clear, and created their Everyday Support Bra. Incredibly strong and durable, this style is part of their Chakara collection, which has been outfitting fans for 20+ years.
The highly flattering and supportive compression fabric hugs just right, so you can move with confidence. Whether you need some extra support because of a larger bust size or to take on high-impact activities, they think you’ll appreciate the modifiable cups—letting you select the amount of cushioning you need.
Pros: Good quality bra. Love this brand because they use recycled materials but the fabrics are still soft and comfy. Cons: sizing is weird. I wear a M in Nike sports bras but a XS in this brand. I already owned this bra in 2 colors: black and light lavender color.
Both in XS. Now I ordered in XS again, but now ordering the orange and the green, the green fits wayyy tighter than the other 3 colors. So that sizing inconsistency is frustrating.
Wacoal 810322 Instant Icon Bralette Cafe Au Lait 2X An instant favorite – a light and soft no-wire bra with spectacular two-tone lace. Made of nylon, polyester, Lycra spandex, and spandex. Wireless, multipart cup has extra soft stretch knit microfiber lining with angled seam on the lace overlay.
Angled dart in stretch knit lining ensures a gorgeous fit. Plunge, V-shaped neck has a scalloped edge with narrow sewn-on elastic inside to maintain fit. Wide covered elastic underband provides stable support.
Cottony stretch microfiber panels at sides have elastic binding at top and underband at bottom. Straps are stretch lace with elastic binding along the outer edge and sewn-on along the underside of inner edge.
Straps are non-adjustable and become wide panels at back for sheer coverage. Tags with fabric/care info are attached to inner back. Hook-and-eye back closure has coated metal hardware. See Fitter’s Comments below for hook count.
Regardless of the brand name “Wacoal” and positive reviews, this is by far the most uncomfortable bra I have ever worn. The underwire digs into my body so horribly all the way around that it is just torturous to wear.
In fact, I don’t know what happened to this brand, most of their bras are extremely uncomfortable unlike years ago. I don’t know what happened, very disappointing. I do not recommend this bra at least not for me.
It’s itchy in the back and actually feels like it’s stabbing me. I’ve tried everything to figure out what it is and it’s just the bra itself. It actually seems to add to your back bulge area or make it more enhanced.
Just waaaaay off from what this bra was “intended” to do. Not happy. I did tons of research and looking at details prior to purchasing and now left with this weird uncomfortable thing.
I have a small band size and large cup size (32H) and have purchased no other bra for everyday wear for years now. I truly could not rave about this bra more. It’s beautiful and holds up so well. When I go to replace it yearly I always try on others, but I’ve yet to find anything that works quite like this one.
It’s my go-to recommendation for people with hard-to-find measurements.
Enjoy Full Support with Maximum Coverage Our wireless posture bra features wide adjustable straps to help eliminate shoulder strain. It provides superior back support with crisscross bands that may help improve your posture.
You may even find you’re standing taller. Other features include easy front closure and beautifully embroidered details. Nylon/spandex/cotton. Hand wash. Imported. 34 B C; 36 B C D; 38-44 B C D DD; 46-48 D DD.
Exceptionally pleased with this most comfortable bra. Love the hook & eye adjustable shoulder straps, as I have one heavy breast and one light one due to reconstruction. with the adjustable straps I can “aline” my breasts so they look even.
I’m using this as a sleep bra. My breasts are 2 very different cup sizes, because of cancer surgery. This bra works fine, but is really sized for my smaller breast. Therefore my larger breast is muffin topping all over the place.
This is more of a me problem, than a bra problem. I’m still using this at night. I so appreciate something pretty that has a front closure.
I have chronic costochondritis, which is a rib inflammation and wearing a bra is very uncomfortable. I thought I would try this. It feels good on my back. There is a lot of padding and too much I think that cause the fit and sizing to be odd, but it’s pretty.
Leonisa has the perfect bra for every womans need. This bra is ideal to control your posture, keeping you straight and glamorous. This wireless, high control bra has an X shaped reinforcement on the back to keep you in the correct posture through out your day.
The Powernet fabric and wide and ergonomic straps give the perfect fit and support. This bra is ideal to use after surgery. Fabric Content: 89% Polyamide, 11% Elastane.
The Vanity Fair Beauty Back full figure underwire bra has a unique 4-way stretch fabric that smooths the back for a sleek look with no bumps or lines. Seamless sides and an invisible neckline offer a smooth look under your favorite T-shirts and silky blouses.
I kept reading AMAZING things about this bra, I desperately needed a couple new sports bras (I only wear sports bras) so I thought I had to check out Handful. I wanted so badly for this bra to be 100% for me the holy grail etc and the first day or so I thought it was.
But after a few days and more wear, I felt I didn’t looovvveeee everything about it. Features I love- fabric, moisture wicking, different strap options, fun colors, works great for walking around, lounging, relaxing.
Features I’m neutral about- I don’t really care for bras or swim suites that offer removable pads, so I mostly never use them. I have really large breasts and I find them unnecessary. However, they come in handy while wearing a shear fabric shirt while walking down the freezer aisle 🙂 Lastly, the seam in the middle that supposedly stops the “uniboob” doesn’t really work.
But I find that to be true with all sports bras and probably because I like I mentioned, bigger boobs. It’s unavoidable, so I wasn’t holding my breath about this feature. Features I didn’t love- (keep in mind, if my breasts were smaller I’d probably have a different opinion) I find the straps a bit too small.
They don’t dig in, but I think I would feel more supported if the straps were just a touch wider. I ordered a Large, it fits great, however, I wish there was more fabric on the front of the bra. I feel like I have so much clevage and am not a huge fan.
My boobs feel like they’re falling out, I frequently have to readjust my boobs and pull the bra/fabric up. I think an XL would have been too big for my rib cage and cup size. Also the side boob part by the armpit could use a bit more fabric.
I feel like it cuts in where if more fabric was there I would feel more supported. Definitely no activities in this bra besides walking and mostly sitting. If I was doing downward dog my boobs would fall out of this bra.
Overall, good bra, good price, shipped quickly. Would try a different style next time.
Thank you for creating and selling such an awesome bra! As an avid runner, I’ve tried almost every brand and style of sports bra, and I was thrilled when I discovered Handful several years ago. I love the adjustable Handful bra, and have always loved the extra little padding it gave me 😉 My best running friend and I both wear these bras, and between us we have almost every color! Gotta love a bra that does it’s job and is also really CUTE!!! At the time I bought my first Handful bra, I was told that it was created, in part, to help breast cancer survivors hold their prostheses.
Although that wasn’t my reason for me purchasing the bra, I was intrigued and inspired by the mission of this company and bought the bra in several more colors (as well as a tank). Little did I know that several years later, I would be diagnosed with breast cancer.
This summer I had a bilateral mastectomy, and my Handful bras have really helped me feel more comfortable during breast reconstruction. Initially, I would insert several pads from my various Handfuls into one bra, and then, as my tissue expanders were filled and my breasts became closer to my previous size, I was able to remove some pads, and now I use one pad per cup to smooth out the wrinkles and bumps of expanders.
My Handful bras are the only bras I am comfortable wearing now, so I need to stock up!!.
I’ve been searching for a comfortable bra for a year since I had double mastectomy and reconstruction. I don’t need a bra for the “lift” but more for the “hold” from the sides to keep a cleavage. I want a bra that I can wear all day and also during strenuous activity like Pilates, hiking, gardening.
I used to wear Bali 36C underwire. I definitely don’t need the underwire and also find it presses to hard into my ribs Over the past year I’ve tried several other brands and styles of bras without underwire and find they are all too tight around the ribs even though I was getting the size large.
I’ve heard reports that Handful bras were comfortable so I decided to give it a try. I first ordered a size medium as it was recommended to get my T-shirt size. It is comfortable especially the band around the ribs and it feels good all day.
It felt a little tight across the chest and I had a little fleshy overhang on the sides so I decided to order the large size to give it a try. I just received it and tried it on but haven’t worn it all day.
I definitely can tell the difference in the cup size with more coverage on the top and sides and the rib band feels a little less tight. All in all the bra is the most comfortable of all the ones I’ve tried over the past year.
I would like to suggest that you could make the pads optional as women who have had reconstruction don’t need the pads.
I was looking for a posture brace, and this helps a lot with that. After a little over a week, I’ve noticed my posture is better even when I’m not wearing it. By the end of the day it does get uncomfortable.
If you are looking for something to just lift the chest, it does that too, but depending what bra I’m wearing it can squish the sides of my chest giving weird indents where the brace ends.
Deff would recommend purchasing a size a bit bigger. It works well, you just have to really feel it and remind yourself to push your shoulders back but it does really help. If you don’t want to spend 15 on it, than I wouldn’t but I really needed something t consistently remind me to put my shoulders back and this helped a lot.

I’ve purchased 2 of these, using my normal size. The first had a huge cup size, so I went down from a C to a B cup. This time the cup seemed more like a D cup to me. The bra itself looks like its a good product, but I’m not trying again because I am unable to actually go into a store to do a fitting.
That would be my suggestion for anyone interested in this product.
Love this bra. As one review says, shoulder pads would be a welcomed addition, BUT everything else is exactly as promised – and the shoulder straps are wide enough to help spread the weight out. This absolutely makes my clothes fit better, it lifts and holds without an underwire, so it is comfortable enough to wear all day.
It also lifts nicely so your under-carriage doesn’t get sweaty. Even with that, it really does minimize your look to a lovely silhouette.
Runner’s World says the Handful Y-Back Bra is “the right bra for C to D cups who need a little extra support. ” It offers secure support for running and other high-impact activities. If you are in the market for a high-impact racerback sports bra you should give the Y-Back Bra a shot.
I got the xs size bra since my Victoria Secret bra size is 32A and I usually look for xs t-shirt sizes. I actually feel I have a bigger rib cage, and my VS 32 is a bit tight on the furthest clasp. My first try of my new Handfull seemed like the elastic around my ribs was too tight but the cups a little too big.
Since I hate bra shopping and was feeling frustrated I put it aside until I ran the next morning. I tried it on again before running adjusting the straps to fit straight rather than crossed and it felt more comfortable.
Although the included padding was thicker than I like/d I used it for extra support since the cups were a little baggy for my A size. I expect it will fit better in a few days once my hormones change.
The bra worked well for my run, weights, and mild yoga. The tightness around my ribs was gone. Could have been the time of day I tried it (late afternoon -water weight). I have a peculiar size and body so this likely will not pertain to anyone else.
The fabric was great though. Allowed my skin to breathe on my run and didn’t rub or chafe. I will have to try a few more times to see how well I like it. I am not sure I like or dislike the shape considering my lack of fill for the front, but I wear a shirt over when I work out so I don’t really care.
I am only looking for comfort and practicality. If you are not nearly completely flat with a moderate bone structure rib cage, this bra will probably fit you great! With a thinner lining pad I would likely give it better credit as well.
I don’t like the extra insulation when I run and I don’t like padding in general. But the gathering in the center fits me awkward without.
Guys. This bra. I was gifted my first Handful bra 8 or 9 years ago when I was still in high school. I loved it. I’ve always had small boobs, and when I wore a typical sports bra I felt like I had negative boobs.
I struggled to find normal bras that fit well and didn’t gap or give me an unnatural shape. When I wore my Handful bra I felt covered up (no nippin here thankyouverymuch) and feminine. I felt that it was reflective of my natural size and shape as well as being supportive rather than restrictive.
Fast forward 9 years and I’ve gone through dozens of bras and grown up a bit. I still own my original two trusty Handful bras and they have served me so faithfully! For the day to day I typically wear a Body by Victoria’s Secret bra in 32C, but I always pull on one of my handful bras whenever I work out or feel like lounging around.
Eventually the straps on my OG Handfuls got stretched out and the fabric started sagging (nine years worth of 4x weekly wear – they had a good run). I finally broke down and ordered a new one (size small and it fits perfectly) and I am so in love.
Obviously some innovation happened over the years because the straps are adjustable now (!) and the liner is now a soft fabric that is somehow kind of grippy and keeps everything in place. It’s everything I loved about my original bras plus more.
It’s wonderful. And I love it. Life is too short for uncomfortable sports bras!.

I’ve thrown out all other sports bras and replaced with these!!!. I love the cross straps and hook clasp. After a sweaty working I’m no longer wanting to wrangle taking off a wet bra over my shoulders and head.
Also this is cute and so comfortable, like a cloud kiss for your girls and no uniboob. I’m small chested so need all the help I can get, this doesn’t smash you down either and just a touch of lining so no nips and a nice silhouette.
For reference I’m a 34B, post explant (aka a lot of side boob and a bit of sag), and the medium fits like perfection. If I could give this bra 100 stars I would. Run, don’t walk to grab!.
I bought this because I had shoulder surgery and needed sport bras that did not have to go over my head for on/off. I have avoided this type because I am small (34C) and did not need the bulk of a large fastener in the back.
I thought this would be uncomfortable but it is the opposite. I did not think this style through because I need help to fasten due to the multiple straps and my current inability to use both arms but I am glad I purchased and will wear to the gym even after I am recovered.
This bra is super cute and actually has a decent lift/shape effect for a sports bra. Unfortunately it is NOT comfortable for more than a couple hours. The straps aren’t adjustable, and they dig painfully into my shoulders after wearing the bra for a couple hours.
To be fair, I’m a 40G. I ordered the suggested size (XXL) from the size chart, and it fits great other than the strap issue. As I mentioned, it keeps the girls looking perky and round. I just can’t handle the straps digging into my shoulders and constantly having to try to tug at the top and back to get it less uncomfortable.
I guess I’ll just keep it for short low-intensity workouts, since I can’t return it.
Don’t hold back. This high-neck bra with mesh panelling gives you coverage and ventilation so you’re ready for whatever your workout’s got in store. Designed for Training. Intended for medium-impact activities:High neck for added coverage.
Pockets for optional, removable cups. Bra: 75% Nylon, 25% Xtra life lycra elastane. Middle layer: 89% Nylon, 11% Elastane. Bra lining: 75% Nylon, 25% Xtra life lycra elastane. Mesh: 79% Nylon, 21% Xtra life lycra elastane.
Very supported in this for run, gym, skateboard, long walks, long cycling etc! Initially thought i got the size too small when received the size 10 from online, so i went into the physical store and tried size 12 and size 10 again, to realize that the problem is with the VERSION of Bra Padding.
It is true to size and is the same size as my Energy Long Line Bras. Since it was on marked down, might be item from earlier season with the older version of paddings. The thin flimsy paddings that came with it was no good at all, but once i swop to the newer firmer paddings from my newer Lululemon bras, its smooth, flushed with no visible ugly bra lines.
Gorgeousness! Got it in Dark Red and White, love love love them. If i’m running at night, can go without padding too cos it is very supportive, without feeling like it squeezed the breath outta me :).
I am a 34C and was weary to purchase this as it is an A/B cup. I got my regular size 8, and it fit absolutely perfect. It is SO soft, cute, and comfy. The cups may be ever so slightly too short but it isn’t too bad – my chest is not falling out.
The length underneath the cups is perfect as I can wear it as a shirt at the gym. I have a hard time with sports bras as I find the cross back/halter strap styles hurt my neck, however this style is perfect.
This is my favourite sports bra purchase from lululemon, I also purchased the “like a cloud” along with the align bra, and the align is superior! I have previously purchased the flow y long-line and the energy bra, both of which were way too hard of fabric with very little give and too much compression for my liking.
Love Color, Fit, science behind the quality! Amazing cloud-9 support for high intensity uphill trail running! Downhills are not a thought! Extremely covered but gives the perception it’s not! Love the modesty in the high neck & long line! I was a little hesitant but paired w/ my high waisted Wunder indeed, trains, swift Speed! True to size and color still intact after many washes & at least 2-3 wears.
as a fist Responder-Front line essential worker I don’t have the luxury to wash as I would like! Holds up great w/ Air dry after a 45 easy invigorating 45 HITT workout! Re-Engaged! Re-Energized Re-Focused! Blessed! Well worth the investment! Thank u LULU!.
I bought this bra in black and one or two of the straps was really loose (the outer most strap at the shoulder, especially the right shoulder). I figured it was a fluke but when I bought this one in a different color, it had the same exact issue.
Not a fluke, a design flaw. Everything else was great but not worth tailoring to get the strap fixed.
