20 Best Bolts To Use With Rune Crossbow Osrs (2023 Updated)

According to the specs of this arrow, supposedly 325 grs. from all the different sellers. I just received 2 six packs of these arrows, 20 inch Bloodsport Hunters, and the first box of six weighed. 300 grs.

+-1, and the second box of six weighed. 302 grs. +-1. They are not even close to being 325 grs. as advertised. So now to get to the 425 gr. weight I want to shoot out of my crossbow, I need to buy 125 grain broadheads instead of the original 100 grain that I thought I would need.

no big deal, but nice to know true weight of shaft before buying your broadheads. I have not shot them yet to really rate them, but going by other reviews of them with my bow. everyone is saying they fly true.

I’ve had this for a couple months, and I love it. I see the Ravins at the store all the time, maybe they appear nicer, but my Center Point which is owned by Ravin, and literally seems to have the exact parts on it, is awesome.

The only complaint is maybe the trigger pull, but honestly it isn’t that bad. I still sling bullseyes like its going out of style. Basically, I love this crossbow I don’t even want a Ravin, I want the next CP?? That hasn’t come out yet.

These are manufactured by BLACK EAGLE and not EASTON as the Firebolts were. They have smaller Blazer fletching which in my opinion for fast bows provide less stabilization. The use of rear illumination nocks is a positive as the plastic is much less abrasive against the string serving.

Front inserts will be loose and once tuned to your broadhead need to be glued. You want more detail, seach BLACK EAGLE arrows on the net.

I bought these as extra arrows for my Excalibur Micro 360 TD. They seem to shoot very well and I was putting three arrows into the bullseye at 50 yds after sighting in. I’m looking forward to hunting with them next season.

Very quality, would highly recommend for Excalibur Matrix (18) or Micro (16) Crossbow Bolts.

I was hoping this would be easy to work, durable, accurate, and help me not lose bolts. I found them to be difficult to work- very hard to turn the light off. One of them- the nock assembly came out of the bolt and still didn’t turn off.

I found them to be less accurate than the bolts that came with my Barnett crossbow. Frustration in having the light come on by just putting the bolt into the holder part of the bolt rail. I expect that driving to my hunting spot the lights will come on in all of the bolts.

Recommend it? Yes and no.

I killed a buck with one of these bolts on the first morning of our early deer season. Both the broadhead and the Lumanock performed perfectly. The entrance wound was surprisingly large and provided a good blood trail.

These bolts also grouped good on the target range. The price is reasonable and they are made in the USA. All good.

When I purchased my first crossbow I purchased 6 22 inch bolts with 4 inch vanes. As a new crossbow owner I found them to be very accurate. I have been trying to find more and was excited when I thought they were available.

When I ordered a dozen the picture showed 4 inch vanes and the specs said 4 inch vanes. The ones I received have 2 inch vanes. I was very disappointed to find these. They are all going back!! The listing as of 8-31 states that they have 2 inch vanes but if you look at both pictures they show 2 different vanes.

First shot hit dead center of a two inch bullseye. Second shot Robinhood it! Couldn’t be a more perfect shot! Very accurate bolts. Love the glossy slick finish. A little light. Wish they were about 15 grains heavier.

Over the years using crossbows in Oklahoma wind and weather conditions. I’ve used a variety of bolts by different brands. I may try other models or brands when the opportunity arises in the future, but for now i have no complaints I plan to stick with headhunters.

I’m not replacing them as often as some other bolts I’ve used. I’m not saying they don’t need replaced at some point, they all do. Good enough grouping results in splintering or breakage in the field.

As it stands I’ve only had one of these snap off in a deer and four or five get split grouping in targets. But that’s ok, it happens. These bolts are excellent and at a good price and I would recommend them the anyone of any skill level.

The pictures added were the last day of the season just filling a tag and added meat to the freezer. The shot was about 45 yards in front of my tree stand, head on, he had his head down eating some clover.

always been an active archer, but age and elbow problems pushed me to crossbow. Bought a Gamecrusher and these bolts for deer hunting and target with these for past three years. still had my original dozen despite the amount of usage.

accuracy is always there. My wife (not a sports enthusiast) can drill bullseyes easily. Its now time to buy another dozen! a lot more affordable than some other expensive brands. only complaint is it is hard to find them in local stores or major retailer.

Not sure why the person said they don’t work with the Ghost 360!!! I have a Ghost 375 which shoots 385 fps and I have killed 2 – 8 pointers with them last year and 2 – 9 pointers with them this year all very big deer.

They are great bolts that group consistent everytime. I shoot them out to 70 yards. I could actually use them a 2nd time as long as the pass through doesn’t hit a rock or tree. Would recommend this to everybody.

Well i goi g to be honest. These are not what they claim. I you don’t believe me weight them or even better get Cabela’s to weight some right out of the box. The advertised 442 gr with 100 gr feild points.

I have bought 6 boxes in the last 3 years and none of them weight 344 gr. Had Cabela’s in Dartmouth weight some new ones and they still weighted the same as mine. Ranging from 453 to 489 with 99. 2 to 101.

3 gr field points. I number them all and grouped the same weighted ones and then shot them all. They went all over the place. Took the 3 that grouped good and set my scope to zer them in every time i bust one i have to go get the next group an re sight in.

I have tried onther types and so far these are the worst I’ve tested.

I’ve shot these arrows and for the most part find them to be better in toughness than the 2219 aluminum arrows 400gr. In that the aluminum seem to bend very easy and these don’t bend. Usually can use the same arrow to hunt again but have not found that to be true with aluminum.

They do weigh a little more 442 gr, so you should adjust your site accordingly. They also came with the moon, more aggressive C and universal version nocks. Weights given include 100 gr field point (not included).

As others have stated, these bolts are well made. I have see consistent flight with them over and over. Pleased with performance. The improvement is the color choice (none) or not being able to get lighted nocks.

These are what people are requesting the most. If Bear doesn’t want to put lighted nocks on, at least have an option for orange nocks or fins. Something that will make it easier to spot if that one shot goes astray.

I own a consteictor cdx for a year now. Bought it in april 2021. By august 21, the limbs started delaminating, splinters of fibreglass coming out of th limbs. Bear changed my limbs, no problems. This april 2022, rhe new limbs are starting to do the same thing again.

I shoot a lot, like at least 50 shots a week. I trully believe those bolts are way too light for the limbs of the those narrow super fast crossbows. 440-500 grains would be better.

These bolys fly straight and hit hard, the flights might, and that’s a huge MIGHT rub the runner (the white flight facing down) because of the turbulence created by the speed of the bow it’s designed for but lubing the inside of the rail walls limits damage which is basically just a rub mark, possibly a string like scrape easily pulled off without damaging the flight path.

I’d rate them higher but since SG refuses to use a real carrier and FedEx never delivers on time, im taking one star off because 10 days late is unacceptable and hopfully if the productive suffers in ratings due to their lack of using more reliable drivers methods maybe somone at SG will start to pay attention.

This has been a problem with FedEx since way before Covid. Also, 10 point bolts with Alpha knocks work in place of these since they also use the deep capture knock and Truex are always out of stock, just an FYI so your not wasting weeks of not hunting if you need bolts.

I’ve always used carbon bolts in my crossbow but I heard some old timers talking about these magnum aluminum bolts were better. Took me years but I finally got some and wow is all I can say. I shot these from the same 30 yards I do carbon bolts and these magnums punched straight through my bag, plus 2 bales of hay and into the woods.

My carbon bolts definitely don’t do that. I thought it was just a soft spot so I aimed at a different spot and same thing, smooth through it. No damage to the bolts whatsoever either. I hunt in the thick woods and I can’t believe I didn’t try these sooner.

I think it’ll be hard to ever shoot anything but aluminum bolts from now. I usually use carbon express pile drivers. These got me wondering about compound aluminum arrows now. The price is also pretty awesome for those of us hunting on a budget too.

Started shooting crossbows in 97,and these were the standard then. Along came carbon arrows,and while good,lack the kinetic energy the 2219 supplies. Yes,they are slower than carbon,but still zip super fast and the trade off is more punch hitting your game.

Crazy thing is. the price is only $6 more a dozen than back in 97. Super stuff arrow,and provides amazing accuracy while being extremely durable.

I had been shooting carbon when I had purchased my CB. Couldn’t figure out why one would shoot spot on then the next was all over. 2 out of 6 shot great, the rest didn’t. Switched to the aluminum and BANG.

all shots in same point of impact. Perfect. Carbon is just too inconsistent in arrows. Found the same with my recurve hand held bow. Switched from carbon to aluminum 2117s for the recurve, and ALL arrows work perfect.

I guess, unless you’re buying 150 $ per 6 carbons, you don’t get good quality. I like aluminum, I recommend aluminum, I will ALWAYS shoot aluminum for as long as they make them.

Followed the manufacturer’s directions for unloading the crossbow by pulling the arrow off the string while in the deer blind. The nock stayed behind in the trigger system, this happened on 2 consecutive hunting trips.

Decided to test my other arrows after getting home, another came out as well. 50% failure rate when 3 of 6 fail. Hope the bow and other Ravin products hold up better. Crossbow shoots great, but proprietary arrow failure is concerning and disappointing.

Ive got the bow. Every forum I’ve been on states that even the best alternative may do more harm then good. All non ravin bolts will void the warranty. These are spot on at 80 yards. The risk of using another brand is negated right there.

100 yard shots are cool but also risks an injury. I like these bolts. Con is price.

Good bolts. I have not had as single issue with the 12 bolts I have bought, except not being able to find them after a passthrough shot on an elk and a mule deer and a shot out target. I hope someone comes up with a less expensive lighted nock that fits the Ravin products.

I have lost 4 bolts that I could have possibly found if I had lighted nocks. I can’t see paying over twice the cost of bolt for a nock with such low reviews. Come on Ravin you can produce a better quality product in the USA for a cheaper price than this Chi— junk.

First thing I noticed is the length was about 1 inch short? I ordered 22 bolts. I didn’t weigh them to see if the 1 inch was factored into weight of overall bolt. I tried them at 15 yds they hit target low left but not all that bad.

I moved a little further out and couldn’t get it close. I immediately went back to my original bolts and I was spot on. I since ordered different bolts and and they were spot on as well. I have used this crossbow for years and have used different bolts and never had a issue until these? I wasn’t willing to change my sites to these bolts because they weren’t even grouping so I opted to get different bolts and I’m glad I did because they shoot perfect like every other brand I’ve used so far.

My issue with these bolts are not with the bolts themselves, but Killer Instinct as a company. I have ordered a dozen of these bolts for my Ripper 425. I have lost a few inserts and field point and would like to keep apples with apples.

Killer Instinct offers no replacements for the inserts or field points. Without pulling apart a good bolt, I have no idea what they use. Also, it seems that the inserts are not glued in very well. Other then that, they seem to be good bolts.

I bought these a couple of days ago, shot the first arrow two times and a fletching came off, shot the second arrow two times and a fletching came off. Switched to a Barnett that my father was using and never lost a fletching after 10 shots!.

the killer Instinct arrows are NOT worth the investment, I tried taking the lighted knock out and putting it on one of the Barnett arrows I am using now and it’s such a poor design that it came apart in 3 separate pieces.

Awesome bolts, fly true and fast, 3 shots – 3bullseye at 25 yrds. Shot them for about 45 minutes and then put them on the meter and all were still within. 003, straight and true as advertised. (beware deer).

You cannot go wrong with these bolts.

I bought these this month and have taken a doe and a buck with them. They fly true and pack a punch!! As impressed as I am with the product…I am even more impressed with the customer service. The inserts flew out of 3 of my bolts, I didn’t check to make sure they were glued in.

After a quick call with customer support at Gold Tip I had 3 new inserts on the way. The lady was super nice and said “hey, make sure these are glued in” GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! 10 stars if possible!.

Bought these last season but held off on a review because I wanted to put them through the tough stuff first. After two seasons I can say that these are probably the best bolts you can buy for the money, they are worth far more than $44 per half dozen, and they perform flawlessly on Whitetails.

Bought a box of these. They did great. Very flat shooting. Bought a box of VAP VooDoo bolts for comparison. While the VooDoo’s were ok, the Laser III were grouped MUCH tighter. I have shot numerous patterns that had shots touching each other.

Great Bolt!!!.

I started by chronographing the bolts that came with my crossbow that is supposed to be shooting at 430 FPS. The numbers came in at close to 400FPS. This is very fast but I want my crossbow to shoot at the advertised speed.

The Hypr Lite bolts are clocking 425 FPS and shooting accurately. Next Im going to change the nocks out to see if I can get 5 more FPS. Im not worried about the lighter weight for kinetic energy because at 425 FPS I have more than twice the recommended kinetic energy for bear at 70 yards so it is a non issue.

From different sources I have bought a total of 4 boxes of these and I will buy more.

These are the exact same arrows that came stock with my Killer Instinct 405 bought at Dick’s Sporting Goods. They were shipped fast and the quantity of three I ordered came fine! Fly just like the originals, perfectly straight right on target.

I bought these so I had spare arrows because I split one of the original arrows. Shot a buck yesterday clean through double lung. Retrieved the arrow and the knock fell out and the broadhead and female threads were 5ft away from the arrow.

Maybe it was a bad arrow or hit something afterwards but hoping the other arrows don’t do the same. Never had an arrow come apart like that before. The others seemed decent on target.

Bought these and started shooting them. They shot terribly and couldn’t hold a group at all. I compared them to my gold tips and the gold tips grouped flawlessly. Then after shooting the carbon expresses for a little more, the groups started getting better.

Then I thought they were good, but then I would shoot 3 shot groups and 2 would be right where I want them, then the last one would be 8 inches right. I compared them to my gold tips once again, and still the gold tips hit the same spot every time.

I’m disappointed in these bolts because of the poor consistency.

So far I am happy with this purchase. This is the first time I have used this particular bolt for my Barnett. So far they are accurate. The only reason 4 stars is personal really I like my bolts clean and these have a lot of glue around the fletchings.

I just think that the company could have done better but it does not seem to affect the accuracy.

These bolts are tough and durable but I think there is a problem with their manufacturing tolerances. About half of the bolts I can hit a fly with. The rest are suspect. One for instance flies about five inches to the left and two inches low, the other about three inches low.

So, I’m finding that only half the bolts are usable.

These bolts do a great job shot off my Barnett crossbow. Shot wayyyy different than the stock Head Hunters, so just be sure you resight it in, don’t assume it’ll hit the same spot (can happen with all brands of arrows/bolts).

These are the short Blazer vanes, 2 orange, 1 zebra. NOT what is pictured, but I’m not picky and they shot good. As others have stated, you need a pair of pliers with you if you want to pull the nock back out to deactivate.

That or have the grip strength of a grizzly bear. Would’ve been 5 stars if not for this, but if you design your own arrow and nock combination and make it that ridiculous to turn the nock off, then you don’t deserve 5 stars lol.

Being sure to have pliers with you is inconvenient. Other brands of lighted nocks work just as well and are way easier to turn off. This is a great package deal though for someone who needs lighted nocks and bolts all in one.

I purchased the bolts in September 2017 and am currently using them for turkey. I’ve had two issues with them. One is if you miss your game, which I did, the nock didn’t remain illuminated for very long at all.

They slowly fade out over a matter of 10 minutes or so. Not very helpful for locating a bolt if you miss your objective. Shoot them into a discharge bag and they stay nice and bright as they should. It’s as if the bolts need to hit game or a target to fully illuminate them.

And yes I tested all 3 and they all had the same issue. The second problem I had, on another shot I took, one of the veins fell off. I could see my bolt through my scope wobbling as it traveled towards the target.

Needless to say I missed another turkey. And of course it didn’t stay illuminated. Things happen but these are brand new. The only reason I tried these is Mission Lumenok bolts are not longer available or are extremely difficult to find.

No problems at all with the Missions. The Burt bolts have great reviews but based on my experience I wouldn’t buy them again nor would I recommend them. I gave two stars because they are quite bright when fully illuminated.

There is a way around the illumination problem, don’t miss. I hope this helps.
