Funny story about using your brush. I’m sure there’s not a lot of people who can say they cried, when brushing their hair the first time, with this brush…. Growing up, my father always had this special brush it was a porcelain brush with whale bristle in it.

Needless to say I absolutely loved it, every morning I would steal his brush before school, he would always be so mad at me because he could never find HIS brush! Over the years he made it known I would never get his brush because it was one of a kind.

He even joked about taking it with him when he goes. haha not funny dad! Over the course of my life I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find a brush similar to my father’s brush I’ve never been able to find something that is even remotely close to it.

Well Fast forward to 2012 January 10 both of my parents tragically pass away… No way was that brush leaving my side ever!! I have loved his Brush more than I can express as it had been a constant reminder of my daddy.

I used it every day until I stupidly took it across country on a trip and lost it about three years ago. I have cried more times than I care to admit over a stupid Brush. My amazing husband has spent hundreds if not thousands trying to find a replica Brush even going back to antique brushes.

I haven’t been able to find anything similar…until I found your Brush!! And well…. I cried like a baby the first time i brushed my hair. An honest review i definitely want to buy 10 more so I will never have to loose one again.

I have been searching for years (literally) for a replacement to my beloved but old and falling apart favorite hairbrush to no avail. I have a somewhat tender head and HATE the average paddle brush bc it doesn’t help with my tangles and basically just hurts.

On the other hand, brushes made only out of boar bristle (no pins) tend to be too soft to deal with my hair. After countless hours of searching, I finally settled on this brush based on what it offered and the good reviews.

I have had a very good experience buying products at walmart. com The products are of very good quality, the shipping time is less than expected. The Black Egg brush helps to easily detangle my hair.

The extra comb helps to easily clean the brush and at the same time, I use it to give my scalp an extra massage. I loved the plastic donuts that are included, since I use them to make ponytails and they don’t show or hurt my hair.

I bought this boar bristle brush on the advice of my hairdresser for my hair loss issues. I was frustrated at the amount of hair I was losing and having to pick it out of the vacuum brush and out of my food.

since I started using this brush, I find very few stray hairs compared to before. I brush until I don’t see any hair in the bristles and my hair is smoother, less frizzy and my scalp is so much less itchy.

I still use a wet brush when I shampoo, but that is it. I highly recommend.

Boar bristle is a lot softer then I expected but is nice and gentle on hair. The comb that is included is great, perfect size. I also appreciate the hair ties included, they hold hair without being too tight (and then giving me a headache).

LOVE these leggings! I got them in black and they work for any scenario; running, tennis (love the pockets on both sides), work, and lounging at home. They have a nice “hug” feel of support and shaping.

Based on the other pictures I have seen of this brush, I can only assume that they have made upgrades for the version I have. Common complaints I have seen are that the letter are sharp or come off or that the brush falls apart easily.

The brush I have has a recessed Dry Bar logo and it does not bother me at all. My hair loves this brush. It feels wonderful on my scalp. I find myself making excuses to brush my hair and have gotten into the routine of always brushing before bed.

I am incredibly happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend the Dry Bar Flat Mate to anyone looking for a boar bristle brush.

Great brush, worth the splurge. I have long, uncolored, wavy thin hair. I also have a scalp condition, and thought that a boar bristle hair brush would help distribute oils better. I will say you can definitely tell the difference in oil distribution.

It is also so gentle on my hair and scalp. Yes the lettering came off the handle, but I don’t see how that’s an important feature. If you don’t want to buy a $250 brush, definitely buy this one.

Highly recommend this brush, I had heard that boar bristles are amazing for the hair shaft and the scalp due to the natural oils in them, so I finally splurged and grabbed one. I love it. The bristles feel so good on my scalp and they grab the hair and really detangle and brush through without using much force at all, literally none.

My hair has been shinier and healthier after, so whatever this magic brush is doing, I’m happy with my splurge and now I see what others have been talking about with boar bristles.

This is a very nice brush. I was raised on natural boar bristle brushes and that’s all I’ve used all my life. For the price, this is a good one. I have waist long hair that never really gets tangled but none-the-less, this brush goes right through and give my hair lift and volume.

I purchased this brush to use on my Yorkies, one of which HATES to be brushed. Even he doesn’t mind this brush. The brush is well made, and is not excessively scratchy. It feels good on my skin, so I assume it feels good on thiers as well.

I can see no reason why this would not be an excellent brush to use either for pet or human grooming.

Sure I would recommend it, and it is definitely of good value and quality. I bought the product to slick the my sides more skin tight. I rock a pompadour, and the tighter the sides are, the neater the look is.

I often heard people use an Annie brush to really keep the sides skin-tight. Annie works better than any other brush or comb I have, but it’s not amazing either. Maybe I should get a different hair product for the sides of my hair, I hear good things about Tiger Cru Butch or whatever it’s called, that’s what Elvis Presley used for his sides, and other people swear by it.

But with my regular Murrays and Nu Nile Pomade, the hair is kept slicked for at least longer than with other brushes and combs, and the Annie brush produces a nice texture to the hair, which also contrasts nicely with the top part of the hair which is done with a comb, so all in all the Annie brush is a nice thing to have.

Great Woden handled brush! Bought it to replace a worn out one, but for some reason doesn’t seem as effective as the previous one I had, Seems too many crowded bristles, and not firm enough. Otherwise, best that I could find!.

I have shoulder length wavy/curly, frizzy and thin hair. In the past I could not find a round brush that would allow me to get a good grip on my hair so that I can firmly pull on it while drying ; my hair would always slip through the brush.

Finally I have found a brush that will allow me to style my hair the way I like it. I also bought the 45mm brush for when my hair was longer. I bought the 35mm brush after I cut my hair. I am happy to have both brushes because I fluctuate between long and shoulder length hair.

Great brush. The right size for drying fringes. The vent allow for quicker drying. However I’ve found the brush does cause some static in my hair. Otherwise, great.

I give this a good because it is just what I was looking for. However, when I use this brush, the bristels fall out on the counter and in the sink. I suppose they are left in my hair/scalp also. I can’t use it for these reasons.

Was going to return brush because another one was purchased however when it was delivered it was so good decided to keep it.

Good if you don’t have too much hair. Mine is very thick and long and this isn’t the best type of brush for me. However, it is a beautiful, quality hairbrush.

I love this brush; it’s like a massage on my head. I have long, curly hair and I’ve been using this brush about 2-3 times a week since I got it. I’ve always been told not to brush curly hair, but I’m really amazed at how my hair looks after using this brush.

The only thing I wish is that the bristles were longer. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it. So I find that even with the nylon bristles the brush sometimes just glides over the top of my hair and I have to use pressure to get through all of my hair.

Otherwise, I love how this brush makes my hair look and feel.

This is a completely useless object. It will not go through your hair but rather sits on top. I also bought a small brush with the mixed nylon bristles and that is far more effective. I had ordered this brush from someone at MM so was extremely disappointed to find how poorly it works.

When I called to ask about an exchange, I was told “it isn’t supposed to touch your scalp, it is supposed to distribute the oils from your scalp” and told they would offer no exchange or discount or replacement.

I asked how it was supposed to distribute oils if it never touched the scalp to no avail. Very frustrated. I have fine thin hair and this does absolutely nothing.

I’m not entirely sure that the bristles are real on this brush, however; the bristles are super soft and should not irritate even the most sensitive scalp. The handle on this brush is very short, but you can hold the brush part and use it like a dusting brush on your hair to remove dandruff.

This brush is great for removing tangles in fine and medium hair, I have tried the brush on thick hair and it isn’t as efficient as a brush with firm bristles. If you have sensitive skin, or you do not wash your hair with shampoo, this brush would be great for you too.

Im about to order more. I love this brush. I initially bought 4 – for me, husband, and 2 daughters. But I need more in stock in case friends borrow and suddenly develop amnesia about returning it. The brush is very sturdy and the bristles are neither too soft or too hard.

I lost a previous boar bristle brush and that was lucky for me, this new one is even better than the old brush that it replaces. It feels good on my shortish hair and leaves it looking fine. I like the soft feeling on my scalp.

I will buy more to have on hand and also they make a great gift.

The soft side feels great to run through my beard and distributes the beard oil I put on. The hard side is quite hard/stiff, not sure exactly what people would use that side for, seems like it would be too harsh on anyone’s skin or scalp.

But the price is super low, so even if just using the soft side, it’s more than worth it. I was looking at other brands of boar bristle brushes and a lot of them had bristles easily falling out, this brush (Annie’s) seems to keep their bristles in places really well, haven’t noticed one bristle fall out.

The soft side feels more like the 100% boar brush I already have but with some plastic bristles. Not too bad but not soft enough. The firm side is almost all plastic bristles and is very firm to the point I wouldn’t use it on my dog.

The key word is reinforced, of which it is heavily. The handle is also very small and could have been a tad longer to make it more useful, otherwise they could have done without it. This will be returned.

I bought this little brush for grooming my cat since the boars head bristles are good for distributing natural oils and naturally conditioning the fur and skin. The soft bristle side is nice for light grooming and sensitive spots like her head and tummy.

The hard bristle side is nice for getting through the fur layers and deeply massaging. I know this brush isn’t meant for cats but it does a good job nonetheless.

I purchased this brush because it was recommended for fine hair. This doesn’t seem to be the case IMO. The plastic bristles are so long that the boars brush section barely even touches my hair. I have to hold my hair out from my head so the long plastic brush pieces don’t jam into my head in order for the boar bristles to go through my hair.

It seems designed specially for not fine hair. Also, several of the boars brush peices were randomly 1-3 inches too long and bent down into the base of the brush. Really disappointing.

This brush is life changing. I used to resent my hair so much. I wear a lob. My hair is straight and light brown. It used to either be flat and oily or blow dried and staticky. Now I can even go out of the house in between washes.

I really wish I’d thought to splurge on a hairbrush before this — and this wasn’t even a serious splurge! I now like my hair. I am obsessed with brushing it. I won’t go anywhere without this brush. It fixes the little flyaways and tangles throughout the day so nicely.

So I have been looking for a new brush since wearing hair extensions, and noticed some breakage and matting at the root during hair growth. I read up that hair extensions are best looked after/brushed with a brush with no bobbles hence I found this god send!! I am so pleased that I went for this! It is sooo much gentler than a tangle teaser and my wet brush.

I can actually go over the bonds and brush the growth from root to bond, to stop the matting! I am so happy, I will be buying the same in the large brush! Exactly what I was looking for, for a fantastic price!.

I’ve been using this brush in various sizes for years and years. I like the way it grips the hair without feeling harsh on my scalp. The smaller sizes are good for bangs, thin hair, and short cuts. The larger sizes are good for volumizing all types of hair and cuts, and straightening long hair.

Highly recommend.

This brush actually does make my hair shinier (didn’t think a brush could do that). It’s comfortable to hold, and it’s soft on my fragile hair but stiff enough to great a style. Since Sleekhair doesn’t provide the sizes, and even those reviewers who complained about that didn’t then give their sizes, here are my two: Large = 3″ diameter, Medium = 2″ diameter.

Sorry, those are the only two I know. The large is too big for my fine long hair, but the medium is perfect. I think that’s going to be the most versatile size.

I use these for my client’s and i asked them how they like them? Because there a little older with sensitive scalps they said the Brissles are too sharp on there heads. They are great for a hairdryer brush tho:) gives lots of volume.

My ultimate dupe for the expensive Mason Pearson boar brush! This brush has helped my hair by so much and avoided the excessive split ends I was getting! The ends of my hair have always had trouble retaining moisture, but ever since I started using this brush, the oils in my head are evenly getting distributed throughout the rest of my hair and actually stopped my ends from being so dry.

The bristles are thick enough but not aggressive on your scalp, and the handle is very easy to hold. My hair troubles have changed!.

This was my first ever purchase from denman. I bought this brush for my extremely frizzy, fine 4a curly hair to help in the styling process. I only use boar bristle brushes in my hair since they are gentler than nylon.

With all that being said this brush did more harm than good. I style my hair on damp close to dry hair. It made my hair a big frizzy mess and distributed no oils. After using it I dont believe this brush is good for curly hair.

It did the exact opposite of what i bought it for. My 2. 99 evolve brush from walmart was 1000 times better than this but i wanted to upgrade and get a better more durable brush. This was extremely disappointing and a waste of money.

I’ve always used Mason Pearson pure bristle brushes (which last forever – my latest one is still alive after 3 decades of grooming Old English Sheepdogs but beginning to perish now), so it was time for a new brush.

As the Denman was 1/4 the price I thought I’d give it a go. You get what you pay for. Nice brush for my hair – but I wanted it for our Border Collie Dog as it’s advertised as a grooming brush. Our dog does not have a thick coat but it is long-ish, but this brush does not penetrate near as well as the Mason Pearson, the handle is certainly not as thick & sturdy either.

But on the flip side, like the Mason Pearson it does give the top coat a nice sheen. It’d be great for shorter coated dogs but I wouldn’t recommend it for Maltese, Old English or Border Collies simply because it doesn’t penetrate to massage (the bristles are softer than the Mason Pearson, even though they are both pure boar bristle).

I wanted things that either weren’t listed or I didn’t pay attention: This brush is much bigger than I thought it would be. Easy enough to check listing or ask seller, but I didn’t. Also: small detail: I don’t think it’s made of wood, and I liked the feel of that in my hand better.

The bristles, while soft, not quite as soft as a brush I bought once before. I am only using this for my cat, who has since decided that long fingernails are best (mine). If I still had the small brush, it might have worked out.

I may look for another. So, again, depends on what you want this for. It is a great quality, 5-Star brush!.

Annie does it again. I love this brush . It it very soft but has just enough pull to smooth the strands together. A perfect brush for non abrasive use.

Boar hairs started coming out from the first use. Warning, if the brush is wet, don’t put it on the counter with the wood side down. Red dye dripped onto the counter, it was difficult to clean.

Well made, feels amazing in my hair! Husband loves his beard brush too! Would buy again, but may never need to 🙂 Great price when buying the set. Love Fuller brushes!

My grandpa who passed this June at 89 years old always carried a FULLER Hair n Beard brush, may he RIP. I want to be like him. D’Amato Tyson

My granddaughter tried my very old Fuller brush that was my mom’s and loved it. I bought this for her and she was thrilled. She says it does a really nice job on her long thick hair, making it shiny.
