Works well when connected to a laptop. It is possible to connect using Bluetooth or by using the cable provided. Phone connection also works well. Not so good when connecting to a tablet. The volume is a little low when placed outside the case, but if placed in the case, it is better.

I think the case is able to focus the sound and make it louder. Although it is indicated for use in noisy environments, do not expect it to do wonders as far as the output is concerned. If the surrounding noise is more than what this speakerphone can produce, obviously it is going to be difficult to hear.

Coming to the microphone part, it works very well as advertised and the gecko 360 mode works well and is able to pick up voices from people speaking from any part of the room(probably 10 ft away from the speakerphone).

Participants on the call in meetings are able to hear my voice clearly even if I speak softly. It works with all common meeting softwares like teams, webex and zoom. Overall a good addition for office calls especially during this time when working from home.

The speaker/mic quality is very good. people at the other end have said the voice is very clear and I have tried to record and listen, its very clear. But i see a challenge, where when I unmute there have been situations the person couldn’t hear.

I had to mute/unmute a few times. Also, when not in use, and when I mute, the device unmutes automatically after a few minutes. Unless I disconnect a device in bluetooth, I cant connect another one. I see some software/firmware improvements are definitely needed.

For the price we pay, I dont expect such issues.

Down-firing speaker quality is very good for the size and voice frequencies. Built-in microphones can be set to either omni, directional, or follow-voice. For the price, I don’t think I could have done better.

Note: We were provided a device from Anker (no strings attached) in exchange for our honest/unbiased review of the item. Three different people used this device with three different emphases. 1) As a standard ‘speaker phone’ connected to her computer, along with a mobile phone (both over bluetooth): As with many others, my daughter is attending on-line classes due to COVID.

She used the Anker in place of her tablet’s internal mic (which resulted in a dramatic improvement in quality for those listening to her) and also in place of her high-end logitech webcam’s microphone (which was a wash, as both devices provided excellent sound quality).

She also used the Anker to connect to her iphone 8 plus, which provided a slight improvement in mic quality. In all cases (computer, webcam, and iphone) the sound quality projected by the Anker on her end was excellent, and using bluetooth was easy and reliable.

2) As a portable battery (connected through an apple cable): My son’s iphone X’s battery doesn’t hold a charge very well anymore, so he decided to use the Anker as a portable battery in order to keep his phone alive during a phone call he made in the back seat of our car while his phone’s battery was at ~15% capacity.

The Anker had been used for about two hours before by my daughter two days before, and had not been charged again afterwards. Regardless, the Anker successfully powered his phone through the duration of his 30 minute call, and he was able to use his phone to surf the web for the duration of the car ride.

In the end, his phone ended up charged to over 30% while in use and plugged in to the Anker. 3) As a bluetooth speaker for listening to music and movie soundtracks (via bluetooth): We have a bare-bones 1080p projector that we set up in the backyard so we can watch movies outdoors while social distancing.

While the projector has a built-in 3watt speaker that is convenient and does work, it is barely adequate for inside use: it’s monophonic, the sound quality lacks detail, and it doesn’t get very loud.

These problems are magnified when we are using it outdoors. Since it has an 1/8″ ‘audio out’ jack, I decided to pick up a bluetooth transmitter to see how the PowerConference would work as a speaker for the projector (we picked up a Anker Soundsync A3345 (bluetooth RX/TX) device to perform projector sound transmission duties.

The two Anker devices communicated without any issues, and the sound that resulted from the PowerConference was far improved from the built-in projector speaker. While still monophonic, the PowerConference sound provided much deeper basses, clearer mid-tones, and less-shrill highs.

It was also much louder than the projector’s speaker. Being able to place it closer to the viewers was also a plus, as we could quickly adjust the volume (which didn’t need to be as high since the device was nearer the audience).

We used both devices for over 3 hours (watching Nick’s “Victorious” reruns), and had no problem with rechargeable battery life (both were still going strong when we shut them down). Final Comments: While the list on this device is a bit pricey, the device is quite handsome, and the build quality is very nice – the device feels very solid and very substantial.

The bluetooth was very reliable with Windows 10, IOS, and the bluetooth 5 transmitter. Having the ability to charge the phone off of the PowerConference is a neat feature (though the speaker is pretty big to carry around as a spare battery, it’s nice to have the option to use it that way).

The conference microphones worked much better than built-in internal mics, and at least as well as high-end webcam mics (for single users). The sound put out by the speakers – though not in stereo – was excellent, and made listening to music and movie soundtracks a pleasure.

If you are in need of a conference call device, and appreciate practical versatility, it’s easy to recommend the Anker PowerConference speaker.

I love this thing. Seriously – there’s no other way to put it. The Anker PowerConference brings the same quality sound that you have come to enjoy in the office conference room to your home office or even on the go.

The device is about 4 inches square, with rounded corners and a large, intuitive control panel and rounded square status light surrounding the control panel. Two buttons on the front control power and pairing, and three ports on the back include USB-C, USB-A, and an Aux-Out.

I have used this device with my iPhone, MacBook Pro, and iMac to communicate via numerous Zoom calls. The device can be connected to your computer either via Bluetooth or via USB-C. When connected via USB-C, the call quality is impeccable.

Also, when connected via USB-C the volume controls on the device change the volume controls on my Mac devices. When connected via Bluetooth, the call quality is excellent, but not quite as good as when connected via USB-C.

With that being said – both connections provide excellent call quality. I started to compare call quality, and I could tell a difference between the connections, but once I started to focus on the content of the call itself instead of listening for “digitization” or artifacts in the call quality – I really didn’t notice anything wrong at all with the Bluetooth call quality.

For the most part, I’d probably stick with Bluetooth – unless I happened to have a USB-C cord already out and the device was low on charge. Some cool features of this device are that it can perform double duty in your backpack – it can serve as a power source to charge your cell phone or other USB accessories.

Another great feature is that when on a call the status LED lights up indicating the direction from which it detects sound. This is great if there’s some kind of background noise being picked up, you can easily identify the direction of the source of that noise.

Also included is a very nice travel case for the device. To be real, most of us road warriors are stuck at home – but I selected this device to enhance my Zoom call experience at home. However, some day we’ll be back on the road and this device will be the star of the show when it comes to taking calls in hotel rooms, small conference centers, etc.

The Anker PowerConference is another home-run from Anker. Anker makes quality devices for a mobile lifestyle and this conference speaker phone is no exception.

The Anker PowerConference Bluetooth Speakerphone is, overall, a great pro-sumer-grade conferencing device, a device I would consider as more than sufficient for any sort of work-from-home (or otherwise remote) system when a speakerphone is needed.

Although, with today’s mobile devices more than capable of hands-free capabilities, it really does beg the question as to the true practicality of one of these devices. Overall, when paired with a device such as an iPhone, the device works well.

You’ll have to use the phone to actually make the voice call, but you can use the mute and volume controls on the speakerphone to control those aspects. Also, when connected to an approximately 5-year-old MacBook Pro using the included USB cable, while macOS does recognize the device, the only functionality I noticed was operable was whether or not you could pause any current audio/video source on the Mac; it could not directly mute the machine.

Further, if the USB cable is directly attached to the speakerphone, you cannot have calls used on the device. While iOS (for example) will recognize the Bluetooth connection, as soon as the call is connected, the device will revert back to iOS to control the call.

If I could have made a call unhindered with the device while still plugged in, I would have given this review five stars instead of four. Regarding USB, it does appear that this device doesn’t automatically synchronize with iOS’ Bluetooth function.

I found that I had to explicitly go under Settings and Bluetooth to make the connection. Of course, as mentioned, once the connection was made, there were no issues. If you do find the need for a separate speakerphone device, I’d highly recommend this device in spite of some of the minor limitations that it presents.

I bought this speaker at the recommendation of the store employee. Upon initial set up, it was quite intuitive to use. In other words, it was a “plug-and-play” device. Battery can last for about 15 hours, which is heaps.

The microphone was great to around 3-4m range, and the speaker was good for a similar or greater range. This really helped with the Zoom attendees for our meeting. We’ve used it twice now, in around 1 month.

It might feel a little pricey to buy a speakerphone like this, but it’s guaranteed for 10 years. The plug and play aspect means it’s minimal hassle, and the benefits of being heard without having to shout at the speaker quickly become evident 🙂 The only downside is that the audio source can be a little weird to set up, after disconnecting the charging cable to switch to Bluetooth.

Excellent little conference speaker. I work from home and have a lot of meetings on Skype formally Lync and I got fed up with having to put on a headset. The sound quality is excellent, it is clear and loud, I have asked how I sound on the other end and people didnt know I was using a speaker, the sound was very clear.

You can connect your laptoppc via USB and also simultaneously connect your mobile with Bluetooth. As an audio speaker I tested it out with Spotify, there isnt a lot of bass with it being so small, but the sound isnt tinny, however its a conference speaker, if you wanted an audio listening speaker you probably would have bought something else thats cheaper and sounds better for music.

The speaker is plug and play as far as the laptoppc goes, mine just worked, I doubled checked the settings in Skype and it automatically picked up the speaker, for Bluetooth like any other device it has to be paired, I have paired and used it with a Samsung Note 5, S5, OnePlus2 without issues.

On the top of the speaker there are touch controls for volume, mute, startend call, LEDS on the top indicate the volume level, a white LED comes on when its switched on, when paired with Bluetooth and additional blue light comes on.

The speaker has spoken instructions and tells you when it turns it has connected to something. It is has rechargeable battery and is very portable and is supplied with a neoprene type zip case, the USB cable wraps around the speaker and latches so there arnt any annoying trailing cables.

Absolutely love this Bluetooth micspeaker. Wed been having Skype and MeetMe calls with clients for a while, but there were regular issues with them hearing us or us hearing them. We were just using the speakers on our mobile phones.

So I bought this hoping it would improve the call. It is dramatically better. Ive been told on a number of occasions that it sounds like Im using a headset or that Im not on a loudspeaker. The range is good too.

I can leave my mobile on my desk and have the speaker on the other side of the office which is about 20 metres. I can also plug it into my PC and use Skype on there with the Jabra. Its easy to turn the volume up and down, the Bluetooth on and off, and there is also a battery level indicator so you know how much power is left.

Another thing I found is that I can charge the Jabra from my portable battery so I can take this anywhere. This is definitely a purchase that I have no regrets on.

Context: I use this to improve voice quality for video conferencing, by plugging in using USB. First the bad – the microphone is only “OK”. Jabra has a demonstration of the richness you might expect from the mic, especially bringing out the bass.

BUT the mic ends up sounding tinnier than the one built-in to my laptop. NOT COOL, JABRA. The speaker is another case. It makes voices sound like they are in the same room. It is pretty heavily EQ’d, like Bose gear.

So the presence is off the chart. This does mean listening to music is quite fatiguing. But this is the single best speaker I’ve encountered for video conferencing.

The best in the market for remote meeting audio. Crystal clear and high noise reduction. Easy turn on and off Bluetooth so it does not accidentally picks up phone calls. Cable winds up neatly at the base of the speaker so no need to look for cable.

I purchased this for our boardroom zoom calls as the microphone we were using just didn’t cut it. What a neat little package. Comes with its own carry case. rechargeable. multiple ways to connect. it even has the ability to pair with second unit so we could put one at each end of the boardroom table.

But what impressed me the most was the sound quality from it speaker. I even used it as a speaker phone for my iphone and the quality is superb. Highly recommend.

The Jabra SPEAK 710 is an amazing product. Linking two units together has completely transformed the way we present to hybrid (simultaneous live and virtual) audiences. The clarity of sound is excellent and the range of the speakers far exceeds what is described in the promotional literature.

This speaker is probably the only one commercially available including the predecessors in the Jabra range that can actually consistently pick up my voice, as a woman I have a quiet voice but not particularly high pitched but using other devices even when speaking louder than my male colleagues I had to get one of them to repeat what I was saying for people on the other end to hear it.

I have female colleagues with the same problem and they have now all transferred to the 710. The quality of voice is exception and the control of the specific UC units designed to provide it for Teams and Skype is 2nd to none.

The stand and daisy chaining facility are also really good when you have more than 5 or 6 people in the room. Like all similar devices there is some fall out of voice quality using it exclusively on wifi (not physically connected) but if you daisy chain devices to a physically connected one this is minimised too.

I would not be without this speaker for conf calls and the handy device cover is superb too making it quick and easy to use or put away in a hurry.

Speaker is great, would recommend. Wifi microphone NOT great, cuts out even at 4m distance. Was uses in an open field with zero interference on the 2. 4 band and still failed. I do not recommend this microphone for high profile events.

After comparing several brands, the Behringer product excelled with features and value for our application. Additionally, we’d had the opportunity to borrow the same model several times so were confident in our selection.

I work from home and have been using a USB headset for quite some time however this leaves me tied to my desk during long calls. I wanted a hands free solution and had previously tried Bluetooth headsets however they were really unreliable.

My colleague, also a homeworker, had recommended this product so I thought I would give it a try. You have the option of pairing with your PC or phone via Bluetooth, leaving the device entirely wireless, or you can plug directly into the PC via the attached USB cable which winds neatly round the base when not in use.

Whilst I really like the idea of the Bluetooth option, I have been told by callers that my voice is much clearer when the device is plugged in. I have used the conference speaker many times now when using my VOIP phone and it has been a godsend.

I usually don’t write reviews but for this speaker I will. I bought this speaker having never heard of it before. I was looking for a speaker for outdoor get togethers and had been shopping several higher priced speakers.

I’ve only had it a couple of months but it is a good loud outdoor speaker – easy to transport and easy to use. I’ve only used it plugged in and haven’t tried battery usage – it also came with a microphone that people can use for karaoke.

For the price this speaker is good, seems well made and its easy to use and very easy to move around now the sound quality isn’t bad but I felt when at high volume the bass didnt hit hard and sounded at times scratchy.

This bluetooth speaker lives up to its rating. Very clear and loud. The microphone is an option to play DJ at the party. This speaker will fill a small hall with sound. 150-200 people were entertained.

My girl are super excited of this mini speaker, I got one for my teenager girl and this little one for my 10 years old. She bring it everywhere with her, compared with the EWA mini speaker, this one is slightly bigger but it comes with volume, phone function, and song selection.

The sound quality is a lot more crisp but bass is not as strong. Pairing was easy and was with reasonable price. Very portable and easy to bring. My daughter is very happy with her Xmas gift this year especially with a nice pink color, which is hard to find.

I bought this speaker about 3 months ago, and I have to say that it certainly exceeds the expectations that I had for it. I should also mention that I consider myself an audiophile and I have also a high end stereo system that cost around 15 000 dollars back in the day.

Let me review the Partybox 1000 it in terms of importance of its features. First is sound quality, and this is where the speaker really impresses. It is crystal clear sounding from the lowest lows (down to 30 hertz) to crisp mids and to crystal clear highs.

The sound spectrum is across the audible frequencies of human hearing going from 30 Hz to 20 000. I would say that this speaker sounds crystal clear, dynamic and open. So sound wise it is simply the best blue tooth speaker that I have ever heard.

I was at first a bit skeptical when I found out that it has only 1 horn tweeter, but rest assured that this 1 tweeter is more than capable of producing excellent high frequencies. Also the mids, due to its two 7 inch woofers make voices sound incredibly clear, while the lower end (a 12 inch woofer) produces massive amounts of bass, whenever needed.

[The bass can be regulated to 3 different levels: regular bass, bass boost 1 & bass boost 2] Also this speaker gets really loud, a Youtuber did a test and claimed that with bass boost 2 on it reaches 122 decibels and without any bass boost it goes up to 120 decibels per meter.

If that doesn’t tell you anything than imaging being at a Heavy Metal concert in the front row; that is how loud this thing gets. The next important feature for me was the light show which is really extraordinary! The lights on this speaker are truly amazing.

Next I want to mention build quality: this speaker is built in a fairly robust way and feels and looks like it will be quite durable. However, JBL is known for using a lot of plastic on their speakers so don’t expect it to have any wood.

Overall, I would say that the build quality is good enough for such a speaker. This thing also has many connection ports, for example you can hook up a guitar or a mic for doing Karaoke with this speaker.

Also you can connect CD players, a TV or a tablet to it. While the speaker is heavy (34. 7 Kgs) it can be moved around easily due to the wheels on it. Playing this speaker has been a lot of fun and the light show enhances the listening experience.

However, you need to be aware that this is a loud speaker with (if required) a lot of bass performance. I should also mention that the blue tooth connection of this speaker is great; I’ve never had any breaks in connectivity and some have mentioned that the blue tooth connection works up to 50 feet of distance, which is amazing.

Overall, this speaker is definitely worth its price. It is actually amazing just how much sound comes out of just one of these speakers alone. I can only imagine how 2 of these wirelessly connected to each other would sound.

But for me, living in an apartment complex, 2 would probably be overkill, and I believe that for most people having 1 of these is more than enough in terms of performance at home. So are there any shortcomings to this speaker? Well, for one thing it is not battery powered so it needs to be plugged in to an electric outlet to work.

Also it does not have tone controls, however; this is not a problem because all players that can be downloaded on to your smartphone (for free) have in built equalizers on them. So for who is this speaker? I would say that music lovers that want to have great sounding blue tooth speakers should definitely check this speaker out.

This is the biggest JBL blue tooth speaker, so if you think that this one is too big or loud for you JBL also has at least 3 smaller blue tooth Partybox type of speakers that you might find more suitable.

Too make a long story short: if you want great sound, plenty of bass, a fabulous light show and a loud speaker then go for this one, you won’t regret it.

I am a “portable DJ” I like the ease of movement and having a 3 way speaker integrated in one is really helpful. Looks are amazing and pairing two speakers TWS works great (except they have a lot of delay).

DJ pads are more of a gimmick but I sure can take them. Power is good. two speakers can handle my crowd of 100-150 people (maybe 200) persons depending on location. I would not recommend this speaker for personal indoor use, it is too powerful even at low volumes and bass can get tiering.

I got this speaker about 7 months ago, and ever since I love listening to it. In terms of sound quality it is excellent; I never thought that a blue tooth speaker could sound this stellar. The sound is crystal clear across the board, regardless whether its the lowest lows (going all the way down to 30 herz), great mid range levels, or stellar highs; it always sound crystal clear, open and dynamic.

The build quality seem to be good as well, my only gripe would be that its over 90% made of plastic, W. H. D. wood would have been better but also more expensive. This speaker also has a fabulous light show; the RGB lights will mesmerize you as they are a treat.

I bought this speaker for listening to music; the other extras that it has don’t really interest me, like the DJ pad on it, although if you are throwing a party that can come in handy with all the special sounds, esp.

the air horn sound. Also I don’t plan to ever hook up an electric guitar or do Karaoke with it. The wristband is a nice addition; you can change the color and pattern of the light show with it. Several people have complained about the wheels on this speaker being to small, but I never had a problem with them; I know that this is due to the fact that I don’t move it over any rugs or the sort; thus, moving it is super easy for me.

It is also super easy to connect via blue tooth. Another thing is that this speaker is crazy loud if you want it to be. 122 decibels on bass boost 2, and 120 on bass boost neutral. That’s like being in the front row of a heavy metal concert.

The one thing that almost made me not buy it was the lack of tone controls or an equalizer on it. But I found out that you don’t really need one, and anyways the app that I use for music playing (Musicolet) has a 5 or 6 band equalizer on it, so it sounds even better than with it.

Overall, you can’t possibly go wrong with this excellent sounding blue tooth speaker. If you have been sitting on the fence about this product, then hop right off it, and go buy it. You will love its sound and light show, and you will definitely be the king of any party with this monster.

I am definitely planning to get a 2nd one so that I can enjoy the ever famous stereo triangle set up and get true stereo separation from these great speakers.

This was my fourth Bose purchase, with two of those being gifts for others. The sound quality is AMAZING in this tiny speaker. I loved cruising along on my bike listening to music, taking it to the beach, etc.

However the strap on this speaker needs to be redesigned. The first two days I used it, it detached several times — from my backpack strap, my purse strap, and my bike basket handle. I reasoned that it needed to be fastened around something thicker to put more tension on the quick-release strap.

So after putting it onto a part of my bike with approx. 1/2” diameter and going over a minor bump on the paved path, it popped off and I ran over it with my bike tire. That pulled the skin away from the back on one corner, breaking the waterproof and dust-proof seal.

It also scraped through the skin on the front. While the accident didn’t affect the sound, it would affect the water- and sand/dust-proof capability. Since I live at the beach, I returned it for a refund.

My advice to Bose is to redesign the strap closure so it will stay closed through bounces that are normal during the types of activities shown on their website. It’s too “quick release”. I’ll purchase it again if the strap closure were redesigned, or if a grommet or hook were added so it could be attached to things with a carabiner.

I discovered this beauty from a friend’s friend at an out-of-town gathering. We kept music going, for a long time, in a large room at medium-high volume and it had no problem. I was so impressed that I had to get one myself.

It under-promises and over-delivers. Do not expect crazy quality but definitely punches above its weight class. Perhaps the nicest attribute is that when you turn it on, it connects to my iPhone flawlessly 100% of the time.

That dependability made me buy one for my octogenarian mother, which she uses it to listen to talk radio daily, giving her high-fidelity internet streaming vs low-fidelity AM radio. She has been using it for 2 years with zero issues.

Price is excellent. Quality of voice is good although it appears that the speaker muffles the higher frequencies a little. Quality of the builtin FM tuner, USB flash playback as well as the bluetooth receiver are good too.

I have not tried SD card playback or recording. Quality of USB recording is poor, very poor. While trying to learn playing keyboard, I need a powered speaker of an acceptable quality capable of recording on a USB flash drive so I can listen to myself playing and see where I make mistakes, or record when my buddies and I are jamming.

This speaker was among the very few that I could find having recording capability. And it was the cheapest. But it turned out that the recording volume is disappointingly low so much so that one must increase the playback volume rather loud to hear what the speaker recorded.

But even then, the quality is very low, as if the voice is coming from a long distance. There is a control panel which selects between bluetooth receiver, FM tuner and USB or SD card record or playback.

Using it is rather complicated and even counter intuitive, so much so that I accidentally found out that if one keeps the PLAY button pressed, it deletes a file! The owner’s manual doesn’t explain much.

I am left to figure it out by experimenting with it. Although it’s heavy, it’s very easy to move because it has two wheels underneath. It has handles on 3 sides which make it very easy to pick up, move and lay on the ground at an angle and use it as a monitor speaker.

For a beginner like me the sound quality is pretty good but since recording capability was very important for me, I am considering returning it unless I can figure out how to increase the recording volume, if possible at all.

Shipping Con:PYLE Does not pack the box very well, first pair I ordered one came completely cracked open side because there is only foam on top and bottom of speaker. Watch for damage. B&H customer service was responsive to the matter.

Sound has always been a passion of mine and now I am channeling it through making money DJing versus watching HD movies on my high end projected theater. These fit the bill, as I didn’t want to vest too much more so the price point is untouchable for the quality and features of these speakers.

I placed one in a 20,000 SqFt factory and across the building I could barely hear myself talk, they are LOUD and VERY bass responsive. The bass is low and hard and can go a long way before clipping. Obviously you’re going to want additional bass for a good setup but these can hit pretty hard.

For $ shipped I wasn’t expecting a lot, but I got a lot instead. Can’t go wrong here, they’re a great start up speaker. We’ll see how long I can push them for. My first gig is in Feb.

This is a small, lightweight, LOUD, and decent sounding little PA in a box. The built-in MP3/MP4 player works well, and the mic preamps sounded really good. Quite often I need just basic stuff for a speaking event, so I don’t have to haul a mixer, power amp, and a cabinet or two, so I got this.

The first time I used it was outside at a festival event, and it covered a HUGE area, throwing prerecorded music cleanly about 350 feet. The mic input sounds really good, nice and warm, and there is NO clipping(surprise).

It’s not suitable for a full-scale band PA, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use this for a solo or duo gig, and leave the mixer, etc. at home. Great buy. It paid for itself the first time I used it.

I purchased this to use with a laptop due to messed up sound circuits. Because the headphone jack was also messed up, I needed a speaker that connects via USB. This turned out to be a good all around solution that serves as a speaker/microphone for my laptop as well as playing music from my phone via Bluetooth.

There is a standard AUX port included also. I’m happy with the sound quality across everything I use it for including the usual computer sound effects, music, and video calls. I’m sure it’s not the best out there, but I’ve heard much worse.

This ION is substantially better than a different USB speaker I tried that had noticeable distortion for many regular computer sounds. The physical buttons included are mute, EQ (only two settings bar changing the Bass/Mid/High Balance via the phone app), Bluetooth pairing, power, play/pause, and volume +/-.

All the necessary functions. I can’t yet speak for the battery life. The thin light bar on the back is a nice touch, but it’s underwhelming during the day so I never turn the light on. There is an app available to control the volume, EQ settings, change the LED lighting colors/pattern.

It worked when I tried it, but I doubt I’ll use it much.

For $70, Ion provides a lot of product, and is easily capable of handling voice calls and music, as well as being loud enough to carry those calls throughout a 400 sq ft room. The mic is where things break bad.

Your voice will sound significantly worse than any built in mic you have available, and any setup that involves a standalone mic is unlikely to have a place for this device in it. Even recording voice memos in a quiet room, my voice sounded choppy and distant, and hard to hear.

Expecting an <$100 device to have audio processing capable of making your voice sound better than a walk-in talkie while on a phone call (this device was used for a phone call and a discord voip call) is simply not something it is capable of, and I am unsure whether my expectations or the marketing is to blame.

If your goal is an “improved speakerphone” look elsewhere: as a stand-alone Bluetooth speaker, other products are available at the same price with “hands free mics” tacked on as a bonus feature and those cannot be worse.

The micro-USB chord that came with the unit was faulty and generated a “Power Surge” usb port warning. A new chord fixed that, however. While the sound quality was nice, the mic was not useable for recording webcam videos nor for phone calls using RingCentral application from my laptop.

I’d hoped to improve the recording quality vs the logitech 922hd webcam I’d been using as the mic, but it was worse–the voice recording wasn’t as clear and played back at a much lower audio level for the listener than the webcam mike.

Since mic recording is equally important for me as the audio quality, and because of the micro USB issue, I give it 1 star. Ease of use suffered because of all the time spent troubleshooting the chord issue, and value suffered because I’d expected both mic and speaker functionality to be better.

(However, customer service was fairly responsive via chat then phone in trying to help me remedy the power surge issue. ).

Working from home more than ever, I decided to opt in on an updated conference call speaker/mic (my other was a different brand – Sennheiser – but more than a few years old) for my wife as she spends ~10 hours a day on the phone and virtual meetings.

Phone and laptop speakers being what they are (ie terrible), these conference speaker/mic setups are essential. To get it out of the way, the negatives. Volume control isn’t precise at the lower side of the spectrum.

It feels like it jumps from 0 to 15, then to 30, then finally falls into a nice 35, 40, 45, 50, etc etc pattern. I’ve noticed this on quite a few devices recently (other speakers, headphones, Bose Sunglasses) so while I’m not surprised, it is annoying nonetheless.

It has a nice weight to it, solid construction, but the Sennheiser from a few years ago simply feels like a more quality unit. Lots of plastic and the buttons are just sort of there, not a lot of feel/feedback to anything.

The older competitor has a lot of metal pieces, the buttons all have a quality feel to their action and nothing feels like it was short-changed quality-wise. Having said that, the Anker is no slouch, if I didn’t have the Sennheiser I might never really notice it, but side-to-side it *is* something you notice.

And that’s about it, everything else is great. The sound quality is awesome for it’s intended use. Music is not what this is meant for, you will not have full bass or good mids, so don’t expect to use it for that.

It could do it, and maybe for most it would be fine, but I find it a little limited in this regard, your mileage may very, though. But it’s perfect for speaking voices and not sounding tinny or pingy, something that can get old really fast on a 2+ hour meeting.

There are 6 speakers surrounding the perimeter and the lightring that runs around the center will illuminate to inform you which speaker is picking up sound, nice when you have multiple people in the area speaking on the same call, let’s you know when multiple people speak who is cutting through the mix so others will give the floor to that individual.

You’ll get a solid days use out of it if you use it around the clock, and it also can charge your phone with it’s onboard battery pack. Not something I’d rely on for non-stop power, but good when you’re in a pinch.

Improvement for next time around; better materials on some of the odds/ends (less plastic) but I’m splitting hairs and nit-picking there. At this price point it really isn’t bad, but I would change it if I were able to.

Even if it were just to had the top gated panel over the speakers be metal of some sort. The device itself is great, my only real gripes are aesthetic. Easy recommendation, especially if you can find it on sale.

The Poly Sync 60 is a fantastic Bluetooth speaker masquerading as a simple conference call speaker phone. If you are like me and have gotten very tired of your ears being covered with headphones over the last two years of remote work you will love the sound quality of the Poly Sync 60.

While it can’t quite replicate the voice quality of a headset with a boom mic along with ambient noise cancellation it will absolutely allow you to be heard clearly and provide stellar call quality and music reproduction when hooked up via Bluetooth to your phone.

If you want to bounce back and forth between phone calls and listening to music while you work then this is an excellent solution for you. Music sounds amazing, it looks like it has a built in subwoofer on the bottom.

I have surprised myself by using it more consistently for listening to music throughout the day than I have for phone calls. I have a relatively small office with hardwood flooring so the 6 microphones are a bit of overkill for my setup however with the excellent music reproduction quality in my opinion it is worth spending the extra on the Poly 60 over the smaller options.

On a side note it was very nice to see the absence of plastic foam during the unboxing. Poly has made good strides in reducing plastic usage. Still room for improvement here but absolutely headed in the right direction.

I think the inclusion of every possible electrical connection in the entire world was a bit of overkill as well however I am not sure there is a better option to provide the correct set up for worldwide Poly product customers.

We bought two of these speakers to use at our parties. We tried them out and they were amazing. Love all the features the sound and reception is great! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for party speakers!.

I couldn’t believe the sound from this speaker. For the sale price that i got it for of $39.99 this is a steal. Very loud, clear, decent bass. All around just an excellent speaker for the price.

Sound is horrible , no bass at all , remote is very cheap , feels cheaply made , control’s are in a very inconvenient place (the back) not loud at all . My phone’s speaker is as loud !

Easy to use, works well. Use in a room where different people go in regularly. Once explained that this is not like a regular old-fashioned fixed-line conference phone but should be thought of as just like phone headphones/mic – but one that speaks to a big group – all falls into place.

Great sound! Works with Skype perfectly! No complaints from the other end of not being able to hear anyone. Works well with other remote conference call/video presentation web applications.

All pros no cons.

I am extremely impressed with this. I first tested it with a family phone call, didn’t want any issues (if there would be any) during a working call. And it’s incredible. The speaker is very clear and can get very loud and very low if you need to it be.

I was actually really impressed with how high it was! Tested from all angles and I was a good 8 ft away and was still heard clearly on the other end. Background noise definitely was drowned out but only smaller noises.

Which is good. It was simple to set up, took less than a minute. I liked that there wasn’t a lot of button either, only volume, Bluetooth, power, and mute. Simplistic design and sensitive enough to pick light touch.

Not one ounce of echo either which made understanding each other easier.

This speaker is amazing as far as sound quality it really like it for the noise cancellation feature it makes remote working for me so much easier!
