There are a few different types of bluetooth noise cancelling headphones under 100. The most popular type is the in-ear type, which sits inside your ear and blocks out noise. These are usually the most affordable type of bluetooth noise cancelling headphones.
Another popular type is the over-ear type, which goes over your ear and blocks out noise. These tend to be more expensive than the in-ear type, but they are also more effective at noise cancellation.

Calls sound crisp, clear, and free of unwanted noise. /.
Im usually a true wireless earbuds person, but after some research I decided to try a pair of over ear noise cancelling headphones for watching tv. Best decision I could have made! The sound quality is crisp, clear, and the ANC is so amazing I forget I live with other noisy people.
Theyre so lightweight and comfortable the only time I realize I have them on is if I start to lay down in bed. Theyve replaced my earbuds for music as well when Im at home. The app has a pretty good equalizer (Im definitely not an expert in that area, but its versatile enough for the average listener), which is a plus because my only complaint is that theyre too bass heavy on the factory setting.
I love a good deep bass, but this one tends to muddy the sound at its level, so I definitely tweaked mine. The ability to connect to both my phone and FireTV without having to disconnect is extremely handy.
I can still hear my notifications while watching tv. The battery life is as good as it says it is as well. I havent timed it exactly, but I spent an entire day (almost 13 hours) wearing them while working and the battery meter was only about halfway down.
The case that comes with it is hard shell and sturdy, Im glad it wasnt a pouch like a lot of other lower range options. The padding on the earsand top of the band is squishy and silky smooth, its not a harder padding that causes discomfort after hours of use.
Fair warning, the band adjustment doesnt go very small, so if you have a smaller head they might not stay in place. I have a decently big head and a lot of hair, so I dont have that problem. The ear cups are also very roomy for people with bigger ears.
I was glad to put them on and not feel like my ears were being squished. They dont seem to interfere with the fit of glasses either, I havent had any issues with mine. Theyre definitely not top of the line headphones, but they exponentially exceeded my expectations for the price.
I do want an expansion in the color choices, a darker red would be AMAZING.
The Monoprice BT-300ANC Over Ear Active Noise Cancelling Headphones are great everyday wireless headphones for use at home, at work, or while traveling. Featuring a foldable, extremely portable design, 40mm drivers, and active noise cancelling technology, the BT-300ANC utilizes Bluetooth wireless technology to connect with your mobile device at distances up to 32 feet away.
Experience exceptional sound quality, comfort, and design with the Monoprice BT-300 Over Ear Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. Now featuring the Qualcomm aptX audio codec, for superior audio quality when streaming from an aptX-enabled device.
The headphones came packaged well and with a carrying case. First impressions are that the are too tight against my ears and there is no adjustment for this. That is reason for 4 stars, not 5. After wearing them for about an hour, I have to take them off and or repostion them to eliminate the pain.
OK, my ears may be too big. They are more comfortable when I move them around and capture the entire ear inside the padding of the headphones. Sound quallity is good overall, highs are not as ‘brilliant’ as I expected but OK.
Pairing with Bluetooth is reliable and easy. I have not been in an environment where I can test the noise cancelling feature.
Consumer reports liked these so I gave them a try. I have limited experience with Bluetooth over the ear headphones – just some Sony 900 and 910s. These are 90-95% as good as those but 20% the cost. Comfort is pretty good for my big head but all 3 end up making my outer ear hurt.
Sound is a little boxier with the monoprice, highs rolled off a bit. Bass is good. Bluetooth signal doesn?t extend as far from the device and they have very infrequent static when working/moving that I never noticed with the Sonys.
Noise canceling seems about the same. I love that you don?t need to download an app to pair them with your phone. Good buy. I?d recommend them for sure.
First pair of headphones I ever bought from Monoprice was the Monoprice BT-500ANC. I liked them. After sometime and wearing them during exercising the ear pieces were wearing. So I thought I’d buy a new pair to have just form listening when not exercising.
So I bought these. The fit is OK. But the bluetooth does stretch very far. My kitchen is less than 50 feet from my computer and I almost lose signal. Even when I turn it on the voice sounds scratchy and in the middle of songs the bluetooth will skip out several times and I 5 feet away on my recliner.

Reviews From Real Customers
I have only had these for about a day as I write this, and I have never owned noise canceling headphones in my life. I have had quite a few Sony headphones and earbuds in the past, basically all cheaper ones.
These headphones are pretty darn comfortable, but every hour or so I do have to give my ears a quick rest as these headphones have enough tension to gently press my ears against my head which is fine but starts to hurt my ears after some time passes.
The sound quality is rather nice considering Ive been using these mainly over bluetooth, but I’ve also been using Dolby Access (which costs extra) for the spacial and overall better sound. The battery life is outstanding on these so far.
The headphones talk in a female voice when you change sound modes or power, but beep when changing volume. I am quite impressed with how well the noise canceling works, I came into these not really expecting too much but the way I can stand in front of my furnace when its running full blast and not hardly hear anything – I had to take it in for a minute to really appreciate that moment.
These are cool. Theres a sound pass through mode thats supposed to let more outside ambient sound in while you wear them, but that one doesn’t seem to work as well as the noise canceling feature does.
Knowing now what these can do I’m very glad I bought these, and I bet the more expensive ones are even better but Im ok with these for the time being. If theres one thing I could change about these, I would appreciate better overall frequency response options over bluetooth.
These have a very nice overall neutral sound that will make nearly everyone very happy, these have nice bass too, but the sound, well its mid tier for the lack of words coming to mind about it. You’re basically paying for $60 Sony headphones but adding wireless and noise canceling to it, if you can do that math you can guess about what these can sound like.
For the $100 I paid for these on sale, Im very happy with them and this is a good price I think for this set, $80 would have been even better. One thing I would mention is if you plan to game with these, there is a very minimal input lag that I noticed from the muzzle flash of the gun to when you hear the shot firing, this only happens over bluetooth connection, on wired its no lag.
For casual gaming like i do its not even a big deal and you’ll get used to it and adapt quickly. I like these and will treat them with care as I have seen some others with cracks because of assumed rough handling.
Im aware of this somewhat fragile nature as I went to buy these and will give them a benefit of a doubt and we will see as time goes on if the materials stand up to time. So far, I have only had a positive experience and I look forward to enjoying these hopefully for a few good years.
Im very glad I went for these over earbuds because of the 30mm drivers in these, they do handle bass rather nicely.
I need to wear noise cancelling headphones nearly 100 percent of the time when I am at home. As I am currently located right in front of an agri business with flexible work hours the sound of bulldozers pushing dirt around may begin as early as 5 am.
While I had been a heavy user of headphones before here there is no good time to be without so versus gaming or working remotely ( as an early adapter so 13 years later I was able to help those not used to it on work- life balance ) the headphones in use stand a good chance of my falling asleep with them.
As it is a need ( I have synesthesia so unexpected sound is a bit like taking a blender to my brain ) I try to have no fewer than two working good quality and a back up whatever is on sale not to expensive so I am never without.
It took over 18 months for these to develop an unsolvable issue with the headband. The audio is still good but as a tight fit is vital to my needs this was a problem. In that time it outlasted a total of 3 ( 1 and 2 replacements ) of a brand primarily aimed at gamers which has a lot to say about durability and now my extended warranty with another retailer is not being honoured despite those ones having a 2 year manufacturer and add standard extended I am not there yet.
I am probably a bit on the cranky side given the combination of both synesthesia and autism can make headphones invested in very life or death weight that may be fairly unique given auditory to visual field synesthesia is low incidence and the type I experience low incidence within it – I could be a set of one in how serious this is as a need ) With it difficult to afford the kind some friends easily get funded I had modest expectations for these when they were on sale in the first Black Thursday of pandemic mode but they stood up exceptionally well.
Their battery life may actually be underestimated which I have not seen in other electronics. Sound is good and while i used it mostly with computers that have additional audio programs when using it with my back up , is barely a computer device , the sound did not take that big a hit other than in nice to have personal streaming tuning but overall still great.
To start this, I am a bit of a Sony fanboy. (core series speakers, amps, alpha cameras, head units, you name it. ) I got these on sale, and i’m glad I did. Full price for these are too much. I expected “ok” to “good” noise cancelling, but instead got subpar.
I didn’t buy these for cutting edge NC, so that was not a big deal. The big drawback was these are NOT supported by the Sony Headphones app. At very least, i wanted this app to allow for the EQ to be set.
These, at default, are too low end mushy. It sounds like you are listening to things with a large bucket over your head. There is no reason not to have app support for headphones near the 200 dollar mark when lesser models have that.
The positives- –USB-C charging. I can toss them in on a roadtrip and not have to bring a micro-usb cord with. –Not bad head feel. Cushions wear in over time and dont pinch even my large head. –3. 5mm audio in.
Great option to use with a computer or device with a standard EQ. The negatives- –NC is weak, ambient sound is weaker. –Price point that puts you near premium models (if they sold these for 69. 99 to 79.
99, it would be a great option) –No app support from Sony’s own app Honestly, these will be my rough and tumble headphones. Doing yard work, mowing grass, etc. I own the wh-1000xm2’s and xm4’s, and they are far better.
Those headphones may be twice the price of these, but they have 4 times the features and at least 4 times the performance. Spend the money on the xm4’s and you wont be disappointed. You get a semi-hard case, airplane dual adapter, same usb-c support for charging, same 3.
5mm in, softer feel on everything, side touch panel to change volume and track, amazing NC, outstanding ambient sound, dual bluetooth connection ability, Sony’s lossless upscaling option, full app support, and other benefits.
Tune out distractions with true noise cancellation and get superior all-day comfort with no interruptions. The soft, cushioned ear pads and adjustable headband keep you comfortable for long wearing periods, whether you keep the active noise cancellation on or off.
With Bluetooth (up to 33ft. wireless range) and aux in you can chose how you listen, while the on-ear controls (volume, play/pause, answer phone, power, ANC, pairing) keep you in command with just one touch.
And when you’re ready to travel, simply fold the headphones up and store them in the premium carrying case (included. ) With a battery life of up to 8 hours at 100% volume, you’ll never have to be without them.
Includes 3. 5mm audio cable, 3. 5mm female to 2 x 3. 5mm male audio adapter, and Micro-USB to USB cable.
I am so happy with this pair of wireless headphones. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable they are. They are not too tight, but also I am not worried about them falling off of my head. The material of the ear pads feel amazing.
They are easy to charge, pair to your device, and store away when not being used. The sound quality is amazing as well. The active noise cancellation feature is amazing in loud, busy areas with a lot of background noise.
I did not expect them to be able to block out so much noise. This is definitely the pair of headphones I will be buying for years to come!.
I just bought these a few days ago and I am anxious to use them on my trip next week! They are very sleek (I have the rose gold) and love the fact they fold and have a great carrying case, quite sturdy and compact as much as possible.
They are a bit heavy (something I am not used to yet) although they fit very snug on/over the ears, which is a good thing, might need to remove the earrings when listening but they feel great. Pairing via Bluetooth was easy for all devices.
This is my first over the ear headphones, I usually wear the earbuds but those are starting to be bothersome & I have a tough time finding the right fit for my little ears. Thanks.
I purchased these headphones to use while washing dishes, doing computer work, etc. They arrived with some charge to them. They sounded fabulous and the noise cancelling was great. What is disappointing is that I have only gotten them to charge once since purchase.
The light comes on as though it’s charging but nothing! I have tried different cords, plugs, etc. When they worked, they really worked!.

Never lose your headphones again If you struggle to leave home without headphones the Skullcandy Venue Headphones are your new best friend. Built-in Tile technology lets you track your headphones whereabouts from your phone using Bluetooth so you wont resort to turning the house upside-down to find them.
They charge up impressively fast. The Monitor Setting is goofy. If I turn it on, I have to turn up the volume from a tiny, low whisper, then turn the volume back down when I turn off the Monitor setting.
Instead, I use the volume or pause and slide the headphones off one ear to half listen. Eh. Ironically, the cushy ear covers don’t keep this pair from becoming uncomfortable on the curved bone behind the ear on my SKULL.
I am being honest in my review as a long time Skullcandy fan—so keep an open mind to my close mindedness: Why does the digital voice have a tony British accent from the west end of London? It would be cool if we had a choice for the software we get.
Maybe I want someone who sounds like Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, or America Ferrera. Basically, it grates on me that I have to hear the ultimate Colonial accent when I am enjoying music or podcasts.
who picked that out at Colorado company headquarters? Never mind, don’t answer that.
First off, they are very comfortable and lightweight. The build quality however, could be better. They are very creaky and made almost entirely out of plastic. The plastic is solid and durable though.
The sound quality is pretty good. The earcups are made out of leather, but they don’t make you sweat like some others. Now the real downside of these headphones, which is the microphone. It has worked fine for calls, but if you try and use it on your computer, for me at least, it cuts out all audio output coming through the headphones and only allows me to hear myself, so I would not recommend these for gaming or anything like that.
Overall pretty good, but I think you can find better for the price.
Block out all the distractions and listen to your favorite music or podcasts via Bluetooth with superior sound and maximum comfort. Enjoy moments of relaxation, quiet the background noise and drift away into musical bliss.
When you want to be connected to the ones around you, turn off the active noise cancellation and stay engaged. Includes 3. 5mm audio cable and Micro-USB to USB cable.
I bought 2 of these IAHN40 Bluetooth headphones over a month ago. I love them!! Love the sound and quality. They allow me to choose if I want to completely zone everyone out with the noise canceling setting.
Love love that!! Regardless if I’m at work or home I have my headphones. Definitely plan to buy more in the near future. There is one thing I would recommend though. The only thing I could possibly say negative about them is I wish the range was a little further for the Bluetooth.
If I walk to far away from my phone they drop it. I’m talking like 25 ft. I think they should be able to at least pick up throughout someone’s home. But even with that being said I still love them!! Clean, pure, smooth sound quality!!.
Ive only had these for about 4 days. Biggest disappointment and a total waste of money. No matter what i tried they would connect and then disconnect about 4 seconds later. Not my phone because everything else works on it.
My soundbar does wonderful as well as my car stereo so its definitely the headphones i bought. And of course with it being an electronic item they will not exchange or refund me for the purchase. Very disappointed.
$30 is usually a bit too much for me when talking head phones. I decided to try these because every other set I get breaks within days and are never comfy. These head phones are like clouds hugging my head & ears.
I live that you can use bluetooth or cable to listen. Not a fan of the noise Cancellation, only because I get this awful squall coming from them every now and again. So far these are the Best headphones I’ve had.
Drown out the Noise ANC blocks traffic and other noise, so you are free to fully dive into your favorite tunes. What’s in the Box: 1 x TaoTronics Bluetooth Headphones (Model: TT-BH060) 1 x Carrying Case 1 x User Guide 1 x 3.
I love these headphones!! I mainly bought them to have a comfortable Bluetooth option for long phone conversations, because I cannot stand in-ear buds, and speaker isn’t always appropriate. These have been WONDERFUL.
The sound quality is way better than expected, I love the option to use the headphone jack, and they are very comfortable – even if they aren’t the lightest you’ll wear. I expected as much being over the ear, so it’s fine.
It was great, they fit comfortably and look very nice. they are made out of high quality materials though they are plastic, they feel amazing. the sound was great but with anc on it boosts the bass a lot.
If you like bass these are excellent but if you are an audiophile they aren’t going to blow your socks off but if you’re just a casual listener they are absolutely fantastic for the price. Would recommend.
This is my first set of noise canceling headphones and for the price they are very awesome! The over the ear cups are buttery soft with lots of cushion for extended comfort for hours of wear. They are well made and feel expensive.
The sound quality let me hear every detail of each song, hearing things I haven’t heard before. They are very easy to pair, making calls crystal clear. I would definitely buy them again! They come with a compact zippered carrying case and soft cloth.
Extended hours of battery life, standby and usage are reasons I recommend them. The noise canceling feature begins quickly, reducing noise to a faint murmur.
Active Noise Cancelling-Hi-Fi Stereo Wireless Headphones adopt dual-Mic noise cancelling technology highly improve the noise reduction effect and remove surrounding noise, great for reducing plane cabin or busy office noise.

APTX Low Latency-NB10S with advanced V4. 2 & CSR 64215 chip and support aPTX -LL technology can control sound delay within 30ms to bring you without delay sound experience when you watching movies.
I purchased these wireless headphones about a month ago. My focus was on getting headphones to use at the gym while doing my workout. The great majority of the time Im listening to a podcast on my iPhone, so I cant really comment on sound quality as it relates to music.
In terms of listening to a podcast, I find the sound quality to be excellent. I had considered purchasing some in-ear earphones AirPods but was concerned about stability during vigorous exercise. I have no such worries with these over-the-ear headphones.
They are very comfortable. As might be expected, the foam ear covers do accumulate lots of moisture during a workout, so I usually wipe them clean after each use. Occasionally, I use a cloth with a bit of soap for cleanup.
Prior to purchasing these headphones, I had spent many hours online evaluating different models, doing price comparisons, and reading comments. My conclusion was that this model would best fit my needs.
Ive yet to use the noise cancellation feature, nor have I answered an incoming call while using the headphones. Overall, Im very pleased after a month of frequent use.
I bought these two years ago when I was flying about every two weeks for work. I was envious of my colleagues with their Bose headphones with noise cancellation and high quality sound, but just couldnt justify spending over 200 on headphones.
I settled for these and its been the BEST headphone purchase going on 2 years now! Benefits – – wireless and battery lasts SO long – on an airplane, you can use the headphone jack to watch movies – I link them to take conference calls on my laptop, the microphone works great! Cons – just because Im spoiled, I wish this headset had a mute button so that I can walk around my apartment on a work call and not be tethered to my laptop in case I need to unmute myself to speaker during a conference call.
Summary Buy these headphones, I swear you wont regret it. Worth the 50. If these ever die on me, Im just going to buy another pair. For 50 its a no brainer. I even use these in airports over my air-pods because the noise cancellation is just so much better.
May 8, 2018 – My requirements in a headphone were great audio quality, bluetooth, in-built mic, comfortably circumaural, aptx low latency, removable 3. 5mm Jack Cable, long play time, good build-quality, around 100.
Ive had this headphone for almost a week now, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. This pair of headphones adds two prominent bonus features among others – ANC, and wireless charging. I can charge my phone and the headphone at the same time! Here are a couple of things I would like to have seen different 50 to 70 ohms impedance, mic working when using with the 3.
5 mm Jack Cable, removable/replaceable battery. I plan to use this headphone on a regular basis, perhaps Ill come back in sixmonths to update my review. Well done, New Bee!UPDATE: May 15, 2018 – I noticed a high pitch sound up to 4-5 ft coming from the headphones while it is charging wirelessly on the provided stand.
Its a little annoying in an office environment where the ambient sound is low. Otherwise everything else I mentioned before still stands true.

After shopping around for noise canceling Bluetooth headphones, checked the Sharper Image website at a decent price. Bought this for online meetings, listening to music, meditate with binaural beats, and to help with debilitating migraines.
One of the migraine symptoms is a sensitivity to noise. The “noise canceling technology” is helpful for buffering the noises so as that I can function. The headphones arrived with micro USB charging cable, but it did not include the USB charger that plugs into the outlet.
I did not have a problem with that, because I have extra USB chargers. Also includes a 3. 5mm cable for when the charge is low. The protective zipper travel case is a practical and elegant bonus. All the cables and headphones fit perfectly.
Recently, I tried to have a conversation with the Bluetooth setting on my Android. That did not go well because they could not hear me. It may be that I need to get used to using it. Overall, it is worth the price and exceeded my expectations.
The noise canceling feature always works. However, pairing is always glitchy – has always taken several attempts to pair. Then finally it has stopped pairing altogether. I have had in for less than a year and treat all of my fragile items with the best of care.
We’ve tried everything. Yes, of course its always fully charged. Not happy with return policy for a company that seems to do so well. :(.
I listen to music from my computer via Bluetooth. When the battery is low I can use the cord. I also watch videos on my computer and DVD player using the headphones. I use the headphones when reading to keep noise out.

I just purchased these Taotronics headphones and I used them on a trip today. Great sound, awesome comfort and sound quality. Exceptional price / value ratio. It blocks most ambient sound on the airline trip and the sound quality is comparable to $150 Sony headphones.
If you need a pair of high quality but low budget headphones you will not be disappointed. You will feel like you got a steal on these.
I like TaoTronics. This is my third set and they don’t disappoint. It’s not a big deal that it still uses micro USB. They are comfortable to wear and the sound is quite good. The sound is more balanced and not too bass heavy.
The ANC blocks low droning noises like my air conditioner and it doesn’t make my ears too pressurized. I can wear them for hours with the ANC on and not get a headache. They are not for tiny-headed people like me as the head band is too large.
But I have a band cushion that takes up space to make them fit right.
Very comfortable. High quality to price ratio. This is my third pair of TaoTronix headphones, the first of this model number. These tend to be a bit more bass heavy and less neutral than my older models.
For those who love bass, these are great. For those who demand perfect accuracy, they may fall a bit short but are still quite good.
COWIN is known for designing and engineering the world best ANC & high quality bluetooth headphones. The COWIN E7 Noise Cancelling Headphones have satisfied hundreds of thousands of consumers with the competitive price, great sound quality, deep powerful bass, comfortable protein ear pads, long playtime, and advanced active noise cancelling technology.
Now, we are proud to bring you the updated version of the E7— Cowin E8. Touch it, Feel it, and Love it. Put COWIN E8 on, and suddenly everything changes. Your music is deep, powerful and balanced, and so quiet that every note sounds clearer.
Even air travel becomes enjoyable, as engine roar gently fades away. No matter how noisy the world is, it’s just you and your music—or simply peace and quiet. Color: Black.
I previously had the Cowin E7 headset and loved it so I had very high hopes to get these. I’ve only used these for a little bit of time yet but they are delivering on my expectations. They come with a carrying case as well as some micro chargers just like the E7s.
The noise canceling is pretty good but it doesn’t seem optional like on the E7s. As far as the button controls, they have volume keys that also work as previous and next track buttons and a power button that also works as a play/pause button.
These even have a switch to toggle how loud the bass is. Thiese features are just as good as, if not better than the button controls on the E7s. If I remember correctly, the E7s had a way to control volume but it was very hard to figure out how.
On the E8s, it’s very obvious how to control the volume. The buttons have the + and – symbols right on them. The. E7s don’t have a toggle switch for the bass either. Physically, the fit is amazing. You can boy your head and your won’t have to worry about these falling off your head unlike other headphones.
One thing I didn’t like about the E7s were the fact that the ear cups would get really sweaty over time. These don’t get so sweaty unless you’re doing a lot of physical activities with these on. As far as the battery life, I remember the E7s being amazing.
You could use those for a month and you wouldn’t have to worry about the battery getting low. I’ve been using my E8s for a good few hours altogether and they’re still supposedly on 80% so I think it’s the same way around with these.
As far as the speakers, I would say they’re better than the E7S. While listening to videos, I can hear the dialogue more clearly than on the speakers on my devices. Overall, I’d say if you already own the E7s and don’t really care about bass, you’re good.
But if you can’t use them anymore like me, definitely pick up a pair of these. They are headphones you will take pride in owning.
Noise cancellation–very good, ,yeah Sony and Bose beat these Cowins but money considered,,by — Very Little , I can buy anything, i need , but Yachts. etc. these Cowins are a solid value for the moneyand quality.
Solid!! However , as in anything else,, problems come with the package. Noise cancellation in a Gym was good but not terrific. Got a phone call ,,then –had to go outside of gym!!. Talked. Back in gym, put noise cancellation back on -fantastic!! Well.
,, in retrospect ,,head set got shut off,. Head set was just set up with cell phone ,, once turned back on everything went according to plan,,blue toothwas married ,,working,,,,good!! Noise cancellation was turned on after starting up.
ah ha! More on this later -performance was great inside gym. Got a phone call while inside gym. at first we talked well, ,then problems– –phone is off, on. off, on ,they can’t hear me. then they can hear me ,i can’t hear them.
Headset is garbage ,,,return ? Ok,, lets retry ,, went out side of gym ,,,shut BOTH devices OFF. Start cell first ,call home get itworking as usual ,,,next ,, start headset up ,,,in normal mode with out NC.
Walked inside gym, now all is ok,,, after 5 minutes. There is a learning curve with the headset ,, I will work on this ,,for the next several days teaching this Cowin e-8. Monday will report back,, ordered a cable with a mic just in case.
Addendum:5 days now have gone by. The cable or cord ordered arrived with 3. 5 mm on both ends. Cowin e-8 phone cure. needs a 2. 5mm end. Sent this info to customer service,,got advised a 2. 5 cable with a mic for Skype calls.
3. 5 end for cell phone very good. Got that answer from C. S several times. So i asked CS to send vendor ,, stock number , etc for the cable/cord needed so I can order such. Since then –CS has given me Don Rickles, one liners,, not one answer,,, not one !!Replies indicate the staff is flat out over worked, does not have time for detailed answers.
Tried to phone CS ,,was repeatedly. stopped by BOT BS every time. Amazon– when bad problems do occur,,Amazon does make it impossible to contact a live rep. for talk , or consultation. So–I can live without A HIGHER END HEADSET.
VERY WELL. SENT THE E-8 BACK!!!ADDENDUM: OCTOBER 26 2020. AMAZON CS AFTER READING THE ABOVE CONTACTED ME. SENT THE SE8 WHICH IS THE NEWER VERSION OF THE E-8. THE SE8 IS SUMMED UP IN ONE WORD–WOW!! BASS IS INCREDIBLE !! NOW, FULLY RICH ,DELIVERS AS PROMISED.
!!! PHONE CONNECTIONS -WORK , LOCAL CALLS ARE EXCELLENT AND JOINT CALLS ,,EASILY DONE!SKYPE AT FIRST WAS NOT GOOD,, DISCONNECTS,, DROPPED CALLS. HARD TO RECOVER SKYPE CALLS. SOLUTION: SKYPE CALL PROBLEMS ARE A PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE CELL PHONE AND BLUETOOTH 5.
ON YOUR CELL PHONE ERASE -ALL– DEVICES!!! (HEAD SETS,,TV ,COMPUTER, -EVERYTHING!! -USE FORGET ON THE CELL PHONE. INSTALL THE SE8 ONLY. USE THE SE8 FOR 2-3 DAYS BY ITS SELF DO LOCAL CALLS FIRST ,,DO JOINT PHONE CALLS ALSO.
TURN CELL PHONE OFF DO THIS TWICE – RESTART. THEN DO A LOCAL PHONE CALL >>THEN—SKYPE<<< THE RESULTS WILL BE VERY GOOD. RESTART CELL PHONE. THEN MUSIC ,, AND PHONE CALLS CAN NOW BE DONE EASILY. IF YOU EXPERIENCE SKYPE PHONE CALL PROBLEMS ANY MORE -USE THE PHONE CORD,THAT WILL STOP SKYPE PHONE PROBLEMS TOTALLY , RESTART AFTER USING THE CORD FOR CALLS.
ON MY CELL PHONE I CAN PLAY AROUND WITH TREBLE OR BASS. HAD TO BRING TREBLE UP MORE THEN ONCEBUT OVERALL MUSIC QUALITY IS EXCELLENT -BEST TO PLAY WOMEN SINGERS WHEN SE8 IS FIRST USEDTO GET HEAD SET USED TO YOUR PREFERENCES,,,, IF YOU LOVE BASS LIKE I DO– THIS IS OUR HEADSET !!NOW ,, THE WAITED EVENT >>>>NOISE CANCELLING <<<<.
Overall, I’ve been happy with these headphones and think they’re good value for the money. As someone who upgraded from the E7 however, there are a few strange decisions made with the design that I can’t wrap my head around.
First and foremost, why is the audio jack on the headphone smaller than the standard 3. 5mm? This means that you can only use the included audio cable and any other aux cable you’re likely to own probably won’t fit.
Secondly, I think the vocal “power on” and “power off” announcements when turning the headphones on and off is a little bit jarring, I liked the ascending and descending crescendo tones on the E7’s better.
Finally, I think the buttons on the right earcup are too small, it’s pretty easy to hit a button you weren’t trying to hit when your trying to pause, play, or skip between songs using this interface.
Moving on to positives, the headphones are very stylish, and build quality is much higher than on the E7’s. The passive noise canceling (even before turning on the active electronic noise canceling) is nothing short of amazing.
I was on a flight and frankly didn’t even really need to turn on the active noise canceling. It’s also great that they include a solid carrying case as well as a 6. 55mm adapter (for musical amplifiers) and a 2-prong adapter for use on airplanes.

They makes quiet sound quieter and music sound better. Experience world-class performance and superior comfort wit.
This was my 3rd pair of these. They sound amazing and the noise cancelling is exceptional. The first pair lasted over 5 years but the last 8 months was 5 days a week while at work and the left ear piece broke off at the swizzle but I had dropped them a few times over the years.
Part of it is they don’t stay on my head if I look directly up or down/lean over. The second pair I got the right ear piece was a tad loose but I exchanged them for this pair and everything is great with them just like the original pair I bought.
The battery is great and lasts easily over 8 hours. Probably longer but I always charge them when I get home. I highly recommend these for the sound, Bluetooth, and noise cancelling features. I don’t recommend them for excercising/strenuous activities.
the sound is good. noise cancelling is pretty much non existent. I’m sitting in the living room, can still hear the fan running, someone mowing the lawn, people talking almost as if I had nothing on.
I’ve had other noise cancelling and it pretty much muted my surroundings. this just turns it down one notch. the controls for volume up/down are stupid. you have to hold them, can’t just click the button up/down.
if you click the button up/down it goes to next/previous track, ugh. one button that does everything, and I’m here counting “one one thousand, two one thousand” to make sure I get the proper function I needed.
stupid. for cell phone calls while I’m in my room with ceiling fan, it sounds like I’m in my car driving and the phone is laying on the other seat.
I bought these to use for work for Zoom calls, etc, so I needed a decent mic. The very first time trying to use them in a call, no one could hear me unless I literally yelled. I tried adjusting the mic settings in Windows, but the mic never registered more than 10% on the mic input.
I reached out to their customer support and never received any response. I ended up just giving them to my daughter to use to listen to music. The sound quality of the headphones was actually quite good, and my daughter has been using them for well over 2 weeks now and has yet to have to charge them.
They paired very easily, and fit comfortably – it’s just a shame that the mic is so crappy. I would recommend these as long as you don’t need to use the mic for anything.

I have a unique hearing problem in which I have an acceptable level of hearing in my left ear and very little in my right, which is a challenge for even professional audiologists to cope with when fitting hearing aids for me, so when I saw the Aria Me could provide me with a personal hearing profile, I decided to go ahead an purchase the product.
I am a Mac user, so I also faced the additional known difficulty of making the headset microphone work properly on my MacPro Desktop. For comparative purposes, I decided to initially use the headset on the default settings and without the microphone attachment, so I could better assess the performance once configures to my liking.
Needless to say, the audio reception was very disappointing, which due to my hearing problems, was expected, but I persevered with it this way for a couple of days before tackling the set up of a personal hearing profile.
Would the product deliver the performance I needed and expected? Time to find out… and it didn’t take long! I just followed the instructions and within about 10 minutes, I had my answer. The difference was staggering and far exceeded what I expected.
I had full stereo complete with all of the high range ****** of background bells and cymbals etc from the orchestral piece I was playing. The bass range was also solid, if not quite as spectacular as the high range performance, something which once again I fully expected given the very reasonable price I paid for the product.
Now for the microphone. I plugged it in then connected the headset again to test it out, but nothing was there. I checked all of the settings and found they were all OK, so I started over again. This time, I connected the headset without the microphone connected, just to be sure it was working OK, then I plugged in the microphone and bingo.
Input and output settings all automatically reset and I had fully functioning headset. I went straight into Final Cut Pro to attempt a voiceover and it was a breeze. Just what I wanted, so thanks Avantree.

I first tried Anker headphones about a year and half ago when their Lifetune XR model was released. I was very impressed with it and quickly grew to love it… and so did my teenage son who pretty much commandeered them at every opportunity.
I’ve been waffling between getting another XR for myself and holding out for something new. It took a little longer than I expected but the Anker Space Q45 came on the scene and I quickly snatched one up.
I’ve not been disappointed. The Q45 form factor is very similar to the XR save that the logos are black instead of silver. The cups look and feel like the same material which is very comfortable if ever so slightly warm at times.
Fortunately they’d warm up to a certain degree and would stabilize there, it was never uncomfortable unless maybe the environment itself was warm. I personally wouldn’t use or recommend these for “active” wear but they are great for home, school, travel, and office.
Like its predecessor, the Q45’s sound balanced, with impressive but not overbearing bass presence. One of the things that most impresses me about the Q45’s is the consistency of the sound across all modes – normal, transparency, and noise canceling.
On other headphones with similar modes I always clearly notice the audio quality itself changing from mode to mode, but the Q45’s pleasantly sound indistinguishably the same in all modes, it’s just a matter of how much ambient noise gets in, which to me is exactly the only difference there should be.
In Normal mode you still get fairly decent passive noise reduction just from the isolation that the cups provide. In Transparency mode the sound quality continues to be excellent yet I can hear and talk to those around me normally which is great for when I’m working in the living room – much of which entails watching geeky tech videos – but don’t want to feel completely isolated from my family around me.
And when it’s time to buckle down for isolation and focused study, the Noise Canceling mode does a great job cutting outside sounds to a minimum – I can only ever so slightly hear my family talking around me.
I haven’t had the opportunity to use these on a plane yet but my experience with the earlier XR model says the Q45’s will perform similarly. Battery life is similarly excellent, I had no problem using it for work / Teams calls, and the week I got the Q45’s happened to be a week that included several back-to-back days of all-day telecons.
It was grueling but the Q45’s powered through each day with no problem, I never had a low battery warning and still had power left for streaming TV and movies before the day was done and I plugged them in to charge.
Another pleasant feature that carried over from the XR is that even when you’re plugged into an aux cord the ANC and Transparency modes are still available. In every other combination headphone I’ve used, plugging in an aux cable kills any of the powered features like this so I’m glad this feature remains because it’s great for when I need to plug the Q45’s into a physical device that either doesn’t have Bluetooth, or for which I just don’t want to pair.
The one thing that you DO lose when you plug in an aux cable is the microphone. The microphone is a Bluetooth-only feature, so if you want to go wired and have a mic you’ll need to get a different aux cable that includes its own in-line mic.
I don’t need this often but sometimes having the ability go all-wired in a pinch is a nice option. These are a worthy successor to the XR.
Overall these headphones are a good choice for every day use such as commuting or using around the house or office. The ANC is functional, the sound quality is good when tuned using the app and the fit is reasonably comfortable.
I like these headphones because they provide a respectable performance at a reasonable price. Features: The headphones do a good job with noise cancellation however you definitely pick up a white noise like hiss when the ANC is on.
When I am working I like to have music playing at a low volume and that background hiss can be noticeable depending on the music. This also seemed to be more noticeable when listening to podcast or audio books as well.
I found this to be fairly common with headphones in the mid-tier ANC range. At higher volume levels the background hiss fades into the music and isn’t as noticeable. The controls on the headphones are easy and fairly intuitive because they are actual switches vs touch sensors.
The headphones lack Auto Pause which pauses the play when they are removed from the ears. The audio quality is good and definitely is enhanced with the use of Soundcore’s mobile app. In the app you can only reconfigure the ANC button sequence, you cannot customize the other buttons.
I was able to get Siri to respond using the button for digital assistant but the results were hit or miss when I had music playing. Some times I would get a typed response on my phone without getting an audio response through the headphones.
When using the headphones for phone calls the microphone pick up was good and with the wind noise reduction in the app turned on it seemed to help when using them outdoors. The battery life is projected at 50 hours which is plenty long enough for commuting and long flights.
Fit: These headphones overall are comfortable with large ear openings. The ear cups are soft and thick enough to seal out transient room noise without pinching your head. Because of this the headphones are bulkier and slightly heavier than other headphones I own.
The odd thing is that these headphones have minimal foam cushioning on the upper head piece so I am more aware of the support arm on top than I like. The overall build quality of the headphones feel and look solid.
The ear cups rotate so they can easy be stored in the convenient carrying case that comes with the headphones. App: I have used Soundcore’s app for several years on several products and have always found it to be a major enhancement.
In the app you can customize the noise cancellation, choose from 12 preconfigured equalizers or configure a custom equalizer to meet your listening needs.

Let`s make things clear: I just purchased my third set of headphones Cowin E7. The very first (purchased in May 2018) had a structural problem a little in June or July 2019, after a year of fairly constant use (one earphone became dislodged and I couldn’t fix it).
I contacted Cowin and got a spare within 10 days. and I wear them very often. Suffice it to say that their sound quality is better than the Beats I received with a computer purchase. My second headphones are still going strong in 2021, and I just purchased a third for my son, to wear them with his iPod Touch.
The quality is superb, and the design makes it easy to wear them for relatively long periods of time (like two Netflix movies). Since I know about their customer service, I can trust this company and their products, and recommend them without reservation.
The sound performance in these headphones is what I like: they have a nice, rich bass, with moderately high treble. They are at their best with streaming platforms. I have also paired them with a Bluetooth-enabled portable CD player, my iPhone and an iPod, and the sound quality never disappoints me.
In short, I’m one very happy customer, and if my current headphones failed again. I will return to buy more from Cowin.

I seen a review of COWIN SE7 headphones on YouTube and I must say the review was spot on. These headphones are great!!! A Point of reference, I do own a set of Bose top end headphones (my so called Sunday go to meeting headphones, an old school expression for only use on special occasions.
For me that would be long distant traveling). I also have a 17 year old pair of Sony headphones that I still use regularly. I’m 75+ years old and over the years have always had a good set of headphones.
I must say the SE7 when way beyond my expectations for the price. – Sound quality. The SE7 are very comfortable and the sound is unbelievably good to me. I have never liked loud music and have always look for clarity of sound and a clear deep bass sound at mid level volume.
The SE7 checked that box for me. While the Bose are a very good, to me they are little bass heavy for my taste which make the bass sound unclear, just a heavy thump. I prefer the bass quality of the SE7.
Also with the SE7 there is a difference in sound between the Bluetooth connection and the in-line connection, I think the Bluetooth connection has a richer sounds. (In-line or Aux connection is connecting the headphones directly to your device.
In my case that would be a iPhone, iPad, and Onkyo home theater system)- Noise canceling function, there is a slight difference in sound between the on/off but for me it’s nothing to write home about.
The ear cushions fit so nicely that for me it just naturally blocks out the surrounding sound at mid level volume without the cancellation on (hope this is not due to my age and earring). Another checked box for me.
– Volume control. There is a difference with the volume controls between the in-line and Bluetooth. In the Bluetooth mode the headphones volume control controls the device volume. In the in-line mode the volume controls on the headphones are separate from the device volume controls and you may have to adjust both to achieve the desired volume.
When I plug in the headphones in on my iPhone or iPad the volume is automatically reduced on the device (must be a safety feature). The headphones volume controls will not change the volume on the device.
Didn’t like. – This may be just my thing but I like that all of the controls on the headphones are all on one side (the right side) another checked box for me. – Pairing. The SE7 pairing function is easy to use with no problems.
Once the SE7 Bluetooth ID is set up on your device, when you turn on the headphones it will automatically reconnect to your device. What I found so far is that it will only pair with one device at a time.
I bounce between my iPhone and iPad and have set up the SE7 Bluetooth ID connection on both. It seems that when I tune on the headphones the Bluetooth It will only automatically pair with the last device l use.
I have gotten used to concurrent device pairing. So this a bummer for me. – Battery life. The headphones battery life for the Bluetooth function isn’t a concern for me because I can use the in-line connection and keep going.
The battery percentage on the phone is more my concern. I think the COWIN SE7 are a great set of headphones and now I’m wondering what to do with the BOSE!.
I needed headphones for my now-remote work and school household, and for listening to audio books, and drowning out construction noises around me, so I started doing research and I agonized over all options! There are so many choices and price points.
You can easily spend anywhere from $20-500, and with a little research I could find equally good and bad reviews for any of them. I finally made the decision to buy these based on good reviews about the microphone, and a good sale price that brought these higher-priced set of headphones down to an affordable level for my budget.
AND I’M SO GLAD I DID! We had 2 wireless headphones at our house already: a cheap in-ear style that frankly is just garbage, and a high-end Sony over-the-ear noise cancelling type like these (but much more expensive).
So that’s what I’m comparing these to. And this pair is SO GOOD! Here’s what you should know:PROS:- Sound quality is great! Note: I’m not an audiophile, but I do care about quality sound in general, and these are clear, crisp, & lovely for anything from audio-books to music.
Just great. – Bluetooth range is so much better than our Sony headphones. My phone’s battery was low, so had to plug it in and with an audio book that always worries me because it generally means I’ll get spotty connection as I wonder around the house doing chores – but not with these! We have a large house, and I walked all over all 3 floors while my phone stayed on the 2nd floor plugged in.
Never lost connection – it’s so seamless. – Controls on the headset work great. Super easy to use, easy to feel for the right buttons while wearing and adjust to your needs. Pause the book, turn up or down the volume, turn on or off noise cancelling.
Easy. – And the noise cancelling is awesome! Like I said, we are under construction, while I try to work from home, and my kid is doing school from home. It’s a nightmare trying to hold a conversation, let alone have any focus, with multiple zoom calls, and a nail gun going off in the background.
I’d been using the Sonys for this purpose, but I have to say that the Cowin wins here too! Today was a much easier workday thanks to these!- Color! Beautiful. As mentioned we have a Sony set (they’re my husband’s) and I wanted to be able to quickly and easily be able to tell which are his and which are mine.
So his are black, and mine are teal. Check!CONS:- Another reviewer mentioned a sharp pinch point, and sure enough, as soon as I took them out of the box I pinched my finger in the joint. But really, now I’m more careful and it’s a non-issue.
(& that is the only criticism I can give so far – really!)UNKNOWN:- I haven’t had a chance to test the microphone on a call yet, but multiple people have given the mic good reviews here, so I’m not worried.
If there’s a problem, I’ll update this review. SUMMARY: Save yourself the agony I went through and get these. You can thank me later.
I’m on my now 4th pair of these and though I’ve tried other brands, I just can’t seem to find any to meet or exceed the quality of these. The sound is unbeatable and I’ve never seen a headphone that kept a charge like these! I wear them literally every day and usually only have to charge them once a week.
My first pair were awesome until the feel off of my roof while I was doing some repairs. I ordered another pair and wore the padding off of the ear covers so I ordered a pair for when I was just watching a show or listening to music so the other could get gross and it didn’t matter.
The first pair have made it through 2 Texas summers of wood working, tree removal, a dig out for a driveway, and a yard leveling for a half above/half below ground pool. The third pair were awesome until I went to slide them off of my head one morning and the left ear piece fell apart in my hand.
I contacted Cowin about their 18-24 month warranty and how you claim against it. This was at 7pm on a Sunday night mind you. They responded within 10 minutes and had a code for me to order a brand new pair within the hour.
I have NEVER been so pleased with a company before in my life. The woman was so very nice and even apologized for me having to be inconvenienced. I told her that things happen and I was not upset, but thanked her for her concern.
These things are pretty much my life line so I told her she was my super hero of the day and she was very gracious about it. I also own a pair of the wireless earbuds as well. I will always own Cowin products from the time of my first purchase until one of us (me or the company) gives up.

I bought these my first year of medical school and absolutely loved them. I would use them in any public place, even if I wasn’t listening to anything, just for the noise canceling capability. It works very well to trick you into to thinking you are in your own private space because it drowns out many back ground noises.
The only noises it is not good for is shows that my cousin watched on Bravo where there are women talking in high pitched voices and screaming about every little thing that happens on the show. So basically it is great for background and low pitched sounds but not the best for fluctuating high pitched, screaming women.
The only issue I have had is that after 3 years of constant use, the right speaker has died so I had to buy a new pair. For the price though, it still seems worth it. They are comparable to the BOSS noise canceling headphones which sell for over $300 so unless those last over 10 years, the monoprice headphones are a better deal even if you need to replace it after excessive usage.
PROS: Noise canceling feature Affordable Multiple cables supplied in case One with volume adjustment button and one without as 2 items that I don’t know what they are but haven’t needed in my med school career Comes with a AAA battery for noise-canceling feature Long battery life: I change mine maybe once a week when I was using them 10 hours a day, everyday Durable case to protect it when I through it in my backpack and stack books on it.
CONS: Like all technology, sometimes it stops working. I got over 3 good years of daily use before my speaker broke. Otherwise, I have no real complaints as I everything about them.
I purchased these for the great price and positive reviews as I have a long overseas flight coming in March (and more to come over the next 2 years). I will write a more detailed review after that trip.
I’m testing them on a short domestic flight in a week and a half. So far however, the noise canceling and audio quality are very good in my opinion. I haven’t owned NC headphones before so I don’t have real hands-on experience but I tried Bose, Beats and Sony in the stores and these Monoprice headphones seem to at least match my limited experience there.
I have a fairly big head ( and these have been comfortable with 2+ hours of wear. That was a biggie for me. I’ll truly see how they do on my 14 hour flight in March, but my experience so far makes me very hopeful.
The carrying case is top notch with multiple cables and tips (including 1/4″ and Delta’s “two-prong”) that should accommodate nearly every situation, all neatly stored in the carrying case. My one small beef is with the detachable cable that includes a built-in mic and volume control (a la iPhone).
I’ve never had headphones with a detachable cable and both ends are identical and plug in to either the headphones or my iPhone 6 either way you do it, and the sound comes through as you would expect.
However, the volume control only works if the end closest to the volume control is plugged in to the headphones and not the phone. Perhaps this seems obvious to some as this would clearly put the mic closer to your mouth for phone use, but when I was sitting at my desk I didn’t think much of it.
Later, I plugged the cable in the correct way (unknowingly) and was using the headphones with my MacBook Air and the volume control was working fine. My first thought was there is an issue with the cable and the iPhone 6, since it’s a newer phone.
I contacted MP’s chat tech support and while waiting for them to come on the line the solution occurred to me and I swapped the ends of the cable (mic/volume control side plugged into the headphones) and everything worked perfectly.
Long explanation for an easy fix: make sure the mic/volume control side of the cable is plugged into the headphones and not your phone or computer for the controls to work properly. I would have preferred that be more clearly explained to a simpleton like myself.
Some reviewers have noted the “Monoprice” logo is very “evident” on the side of the headphones. IMO it’s not that bad, and I actually saw someone wearing these headphones on a flight a few months ago which is how I even discovered they exist! So good job Monoprice advertising your products! PROS: Price for what you get Audio quality is pretty good, not fantastic, but I’m very happy with it Noise-cancelling is effective in home and office CONS: So far, not too many, see review for cable tip.
