About the Brand: Manic Panic are my favorite hair color brand. It’s super easy to use and is just so much fun! I don’t even think about getting products from other brand because this one is convenient and easy to find, the price and quality are just amazing, and the range of colors and the fact that they can be mixed/diluted to obtain different results is just great.
It’s important to keep in mind that manic panic colors are quickly gone which is what I like about it. It allows for change without damaging the hair follicle. The formula being vegan is also a massive game changer because it’s fully guilt free! About this color: Blue is my favorite color and ever since I was five I’ve wanted to dye my hair blue.
So it had to be good. And this was amazing. The bright blue was just perfect and although I had heard horror stories but blue hair dye fading into a swampy green, it was not the case with this product.
It slowly faded into a nice, even turquoise. Of course everyone’s hair is different and this effect might differ because of the base color you had in your hair. I recommend this if your hair is lifted to white because it will only make the color pop more.
I used to use Manic Panic in ultra violet as a toner when I had a blonde balayage. I went from really dark hair to such a light blonde that my hair started to get brassy quickly. I did tons of research online, and watched numerous videos that I decided to give this a try based on one of the videos I had watched on YouTube.
I didn’t use it purely on its own, because that would have dyed my blonde hair purple, but if you mix a couple of drops of this dye with some white conditioner (enough to cover your whole head) mix to a light almost lilac purple color, and then apply to your hair for around 5 minutes.
Once you rinse your hair out, your blonde hair will be instantly toned! The blue and purple tones in the dye help combat orange brassy tones. It was the best toner I tried, and with no damage like other toners can have on your hair from having to mix them with developer.
This method requires no developer, just some conditioner, which is good for your hair. If I ever go back blonde again. I will definitely go back to using this product to tone my hair. I used the Aussie three minute miracle conditioner to mix with the dye when I used it as a toner.
I don’t consider myself a professional or a know it all. I have no degree of education in hairstyle or cosmetics. But I have dyed my hair a ton over the past few years and experimented with formulas and shades and all that.
I read and watched amazing reviews on Manic Panic overall and was very excited to try it. So I saved some money (they’re not college student friendly, these are meant to be high quiality), and bough myself Ultra Violet.
I come home, prep everything, and read the directions. Applied it, left it on, watched tv, waited the recommended time and checked, took a strand out and it looked like it had not taken any color at all, it was still light blond.
So I left it for a couple of hours like some people on YouTube recommended and came back to wash it all out. It was a huge disappointment when the dye just came right off my hair. Now, everybody has different hair types, and different processes done to their hair.
I even contacted the company to ask if I did something wrong or if I was missing something. I never got a reply (no shamming here, just saying) so I tried again with what was ñeft over but this time following their YouTube tutorial instead of the packaging instructions.
Again, nothing. So that’s a no for me. But it looks amazing on other people!.

this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn’t get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn’t want to use chemicals.
this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look).
I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I’m 1 wash!! no more expensive purple shampoo for me baby! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! My go to and will always keep it stocked in my house!! totally recommend if having title getting brass out or arrived orange after bleaching and don’t want to bleach again!.
Perfect semi permanent hair dye. This is the 3rd colour I’ve used of this brand and put the dye over faded blue and purple split dye. The blue side went purple and over the purple it went the same colour as the bottle.
The best hair dye I’ve ever used. East to apply. I have a lot of hair. I went through a bottle and a bit just because I wanted to make sure I covered the blue. Love the smell. Love how easy it is to wash out and off skin.
It’s obviously gonna fade after a few washes. Normally lasts about 10 washes for me but I have rather damaged hair so that’s to be expected. Recommend this to everyone.
I absolutely love this! It’s the first time I’ve ever tried this brand. I’m actually pretty impressed. First of all the color is beautiful, bright red. It’s easy to use as you don’t need developer. I have damaged, over processed hair from bleaching and dying my hair purple constantly.
It covered my faded purple very nicely and is lasting a long time. Also it wasn’t strong chemically smelling like others and made my hair really soft. I’m definitely buying this again!.
Arctic Fox was formulated to create beautiful, vibrant hair colors while minimizing the potential negative effects of semi-permanent hair dyes. There are no harmful chemicals in Arctic Fox hair dye that damage the hair like chemical-based hair colors.
Made non-alkaline and peroxide-free, Arctic Fox hair dyes are gentle for frequent use and actually condition your hair as it restores vibrancy. Arctic Fox hair colors are 100% vegan, have no animal by-products, extra conditioning, no ammonia, no ethyl alcohol, no PPD, and do not contain heavy chemicals that damage hair.
I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color.
Arctic Fox doesn’t damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye.
I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I’m also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask.
Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it.
It’s a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. Plus the custom colors you can create by mixing different different Arctic Fox colors together are endless! I was amazed at the color i got by mixing Purple AF + a touch of Aquamarine! It sounds crazy to mix aquamarine and deep purple together, but the color came out a multidimensional dark blue/purple-ish color that changes color depending on how the light hits it.
It’s my new favorite color! It does come out very dark, so I apply it (no conditioner added) to the bottom 1/3 of my hair and lightly pull the color upwards into my red to get a perfect blended fade from bright red to deep blue/purple.
I get compliments on my hair every day and people always ask me how I keep my color looking so bright all the time. Arctic Fox, that’s how! =).
I have been using arctic fox for almost a year now. I have used to it maintain my hair in various shades of blue, purple, pink, and turquoise. I switched over from overtone because it was staining my hair, esp the dark blue.
Arctic fox does not do this, but it also needs to be refreshed a bit more often. If you have bleached hair and want to switch colors somewhat frequently, this is the best I’ve found. My hair stylist can get my base back to blonde for when I want a change, while this was not achievable with other brands.
Blue in particular tends to be really stubborn to get out, but so far my hair stylist has no complaints about Poseidon or Blue Jean Baby. The color holds on WAY better to the bleached part of my hair (I have my stylist fade the bleach out so I don’t get abrupt looking roots, but I still get good longevity on all my hair by using this process: -Wash my hair with clarifying shampoo (do this a couple of days in a row leading up if you use dry shampoo a lot like I do) and DON’T condition -let it dry completely, the dryer the better.
-apply arctic fox color to dry hair -leave it on for 2 HOURS (the bottle will say 30 min – this is not enough time) -rinse the color out with the coldest temp you can tolerate (I have nerve damage so I use lukewarm water) – you should be good for 3-4 weeks as long as you do use your normal shampoo in your hair, especially not with a non-color safe shampoo.
Dry shampoo is your new best friend (I love Batiste’s products for this). Shower with a shower cap on if you take daily showers, and when you don’t, rinse your hair out and just use conditioner. I only use actual shampoo in the shower once a week or so.
This is what causes the most fading. If the idea of not shampooing/washing your hair in the shower frequently appauls you, maintainable fashion shades are not for you.
Wow. Just blown away!! I’ve been coloring my hair for well over 30 yrs, but have been different shades of Purples/Pinks for about 3 yrs now; The only 3 brands I ever use/trust are Arctic Fox, IroIro & Punky.
For those saying it dyes everything but their hair, I doubt that seriously, unless you do it wrong: If going LIGHTER, you MUST bleach it first, or yes, it won’t do much of anything. If you already have a naturally lighter color, it will show up, but if you want the EXACT color on the box/label, you’ve got to start w/basically ABSENCE of color, which is basically bleach blonde, & I always use Manic Panic’s AMPLIFIED Flash Lightening (Different than just Flash Lightening, it pulls a bit more color off, especially good for medium/darker browns, etc).
Kind of a no-brainer, actually. As far as ppl saying it gets everywhere: Use your head & PREPARE properly first, & that won’t happen. Use Vaseline around your face, & have PLENTY of old rags/towels laid out (in case of cast-off).
Remove all carpets from bathroom, etc. DON’T rush, & once it’s in your hair, cover it w/a shower cap or even a grocery bag; It helps it work better & also provides protection for anything you may rub against.
And always keep handy some rubbing alcohol (or ashes work, too) for quick clean up of hands, forehead, etc. Invest in some GOOD color refreshing shampoo in your desired color to keep it vibrant!! Really hope this helps.
All I know is that for a LONG time, I’ve somehow been able to do intricate things w/this brand among others, & in VERY bright, vibrant colors, such as ombre going purple, magenta to dark pink. I just don’t understand all the ppl having such issues.
All Lunar Tides hair colours are vegan 118 ml. For best results, these hair dyes will need light blonde or platinum hair before use. Lunar Tides. Dark and opulent, the deep colours have velvety tones that contain plenty of pigment to last and create richer tones.
Blue Velvet is a unique highly pigmented deep blue colour. The hair colour is vegan and is not tested on animals. For best results, you should light hair or platinum before use. The colours look different in the glass than on the hair.
Do a test with a tuft before painting your entire hair.
I have never been so impressed with a dark hair dye in my life. I bought the juniper green and used it to dye a chunk of my hair. The texture of the dye itself is very thick, and therefore less likely to drip and splatter.
It smells fantastic, almost like something you would find in an apothecary. I had previously made the mistake of using splat and completely ruining the bathtub, but this dye took maybe a minute before the water ran clear, and what few stains were left behind came out effortlessly with a magic eraser.
Despite the lack of sticking or transferring of dye to skin, this looks FANTASTIC. The color is vibrant and absolutely gorgeous (photos of the dye itself on the website are very accurate), and while I’ve only just done it I’m eager to see how long this lasts.
Not only that, but I used this on freshly-bleached hair and the dye itself made it feel softer and look less damaged. Stunning, impressive, I can’t even begin to dream of going back. Absolutely stellar product.
This is probably one of the worst hair dyes I’ve ever used. I mixed it with the Blue Velvet because I wanted a slightly more blue shade. It came out a little dark and more purple, but that would have been fine if it didn’t get absolutely everywhere.
I dyed my hair back in August and the dye still stains everything. If anything touches my hair, it will stain. And whenever I wash my hair, which is only every couple of weeks because I have naturally coily and damaged hair, more dye comes out.
I rinse until the water becomes clear and it will still stain something later. Up until like a week ago, my fingers still turned blue when I scratched my head. And the worst part is that when I straighted the front of my hair, some of the dye must have come off because some strands turned blonde again.
I still have a full container left because I did a 1:1 ratio with the blue velvet, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with it. The only reason I gave two stars was because the color was pretty.
Dude this is the best and most coverage hair dye I’ve ever used! Even for its size, when I had shoulder length hair hardly even used a full container, now I use 1/3 for my short hair. I tried Arctic Fox before I learned about this and the color would wash out first wash! I have used Lunar Tides over a year now and I’m AMAZED at how long the color holds.
I have naturally thick dark brown hair so to use a product I can put right over without bleaching first is a key thing. Plus it softens my hair and smells good. I’ve used black, blue, green, pink, orange from them so far and I love the way my hair looks and feels and the fading of colors doesn’t look ew either.
Discover bold, creative colour with the Shrine Drop It Hair Colourant. The semi-permanent hair dye drops are powered by high-voltage pigment, allowing you to live out your boundary-breaking fantasy. The hair dye delivers a shock of temporary colour, with just one bottle lending itself to up to 30 full-head applications.
Quick and easy to apply, simply add the desired amount into any conditioner to instantly transform your look.
I bought this having recently had my roots re-done and after having purple faded out quite liked a pearly light look. This was really easy to prepare and apply, although you should make moderations for hair length and thickness but this is clearly explained in the instruction booklet.
I left mine on a bit longer than the recommended ten minutes but actually, fitting in a ten minute tone after shampooing your hair is really convenient and such little effort for the benefits!! Also, putting a ton of conditioner on your hair does make it feel lovely afterwards.
The coverage is also very good, but I would definately recommend using it with a tint brush to make it more even. I have now washed my hair a few times and the silver is still there. Also, it doesn’t even really stain clothing/skin! I wouldn’t even have remembered I did it bare-handed.
Also got some on my white top and it came right out in the washing, first time and no extra stain removal needed! I will definately use this again, and seems like a good hair friendly-way to experiment a bit with being creative and colourful!! Only negative I had was that you have to experiment a bit with how many drops you use as it may not be quite accurate to the colour instructions on the box.
I’ve tried a few blue hair dyes and found this one the best in terms of colour & amount of time it stayed in. I had natural dark blonde/dirty blonde hair and wanted to dye the bottom half (about 30cm).
I got great long lasting results by first going 1 week using clarifying shampoo and silicone-free deep conditioners. After 1 week I used bleach London total bleach kit, followed instructions to bleach it to platinum blonde but left out the conditioner.
Immediately after bleaching I washed the bleach out with a clarifying shampoo, and used the shrine drop it in blue 30 drops mixed with hask keratin protein conditioner. Left on for 40mins, rinsed out in cold water, and treated my hair with inkey pca bond repair spray to try and fix the bleach damage.
Since then I kept washing in cool/cold water, using colour safe products and silicone based “repairing” products. It’s been 2 weeks now and the bottom half of my hair is still blue and quite vibrant, albeit not as dark as when I started.
It looks good combined with the aqua and purple dyes. An earlier attempt I made without bleaching first faded to a not-so-nice teal/greenish colour so would definitely recommend bleaching first if you’ve a darker shade of blonde or brown.
This came recommended by my hair dresser. Got the purple one. First application of 20 drops turned my dark bleach blond hair a rosey pink sort of, and the ends a more vibrant purple. Was pretty patchy.
Tried again with 30 drops, result was more vibrant but still very patchy, only the ends were actual purple. I tried all the stuff with not using silicone shampoo and cleansing your hair etc before the second application it made no difference whatsoever.
Am letting it wash out now, it’s been 6 washes, the ends are now a horrible green/blue/grey colour, some of the hair is still pinkish it looks pretty nasty. Certainly didn’t get the lovely even purple results on the box, even though apparently this works on hair darker than mine.
I followed all the instructions to the letter so I don’t think I missed the product but maybe it’s not suitable for everyone.

I received a sample of Splat natural semi-permanent hair due in teal through the viewpoints sampling program. I have tried other Splat products before and liked them but have never tried their natural hair dye.
My hair is already blonde highlighted from a previous hair adventure so I did not need to bleach my hair prior to using this product. If you have dark hair I would recommend bleaching first because this will not work on dark hair.
I applied this to my hair a couple days after my last shampoo so the color would stick better then it does on clean hair. I applied it all over my hair except the roots using a hair coloring brush I already owned.
The major cons of this product are it does not come with gloves or a way to apply the product so you will need to have these items on hand! I let it sit for one hour per the directions. It’s a pretty long sit time so be prepared! But I did not mind the wait because this product did not have that chemical smell or burn which I assume is because it is natural which I absolutely love! It rinses out easily and does not stain everything in sight.
I followed up with a color care conditioner and did not shampoo it (and will not shampoo it for a couple more days) so the color can absorb into the hair and last longer. I loved how this product attached to the highlighted part of my hair and gave me a nice ombré effect! It did not dry out my hair and it looks fabulous! I would like to note that I did previously have my hair professionally highlighted and the highlights have grown out leaving me about an inch to two of root so that’s how my hair achieved a more ombré look from this product.
Compared to other products and even other splat products I love this one! It makes me feel safer using a natural hair dye and it gave me a really awesome teal color that I hope will be semi-permanent! I would highly recommend this product and will be purchasing it again.
Punky Semi-Permanent Conditioning Hair Colour Creme comes with colour-enhancing Vegan Keratin complex for brighter, better colour that lasts longer! No peroxide required. A single application can last over 35 washes.

It is vegan and cruelty free. How To Use: Simply apply directly to clean hair using gloves or tinting brush and leave on for 15 to 30 mins. Rinse hair and dispose of remaining mixture.
Ive been using Punky Colour Purple for years, and it was my absolutely favorite color. I’ve never felt more like myself than when I have freshly dyed hair in this shade. I’ve read a lot of reviews of this dye that complain it doesn’t quite turn out a true purple, which isn’t wrong, but it was my go-to product to get the particular intense vibrant pinkish-purple I was looking for.
I’ve tried a lot of other purple and pink dyes (and combos thereof), but Punky Colour Purple was the only one that delivered the sort of electric fuchsia shade I loved so much. I took a break from this product recently to use up some odds and ends of old dye, and when I finally reordered my beloved Purple, I was excited to get back to my perfect shade.
I noticed that the packaging was different, and the dye looked a little darker than I was used to, but I trusted that the product I’d relied on for so long wouldn’t let me down. I applied this dye over somewhat faded pink hair, as I usually do, and left it on for several hours, as I usually do.
But when I rinsed it out, instead of my favorite shade of bright purple-pink, what I have now is a gross burgundy color that’s so dark it’s almost black at the ends. It’s staining purple on my hands, so I know there’s some purple in there somewhere, but what I’ve got on my head is not at all what I’m used to from this product.
Maybe it’s a reaction with the other dye that I used previously, but I’ve applied Punky Colour on top of a lot of other products and it’s never looked like this. My best guess is that this dye was reformulated, but if so, the new product is much worse than the old one.
Not only am I deeply disappointed with how my hair turned out, I’m really heartbroken that I’ve apparently lost my favorite dye. I don’t like the results I got this time around, but they’ll fade soon enough.
Unfortunately, now I have to go on the hunt for another dye that will look half as nice as Punky Color Purple used.
this review is based on my experience with Cherry on Top. I have put every single dye brand available in every beauty supply and grocery store on my head. I chose to try this one recently because I want a dye with a similar longevity and toughness as Splat, as well as the container being re-sealable.
I was specifically looking for a dye that would last a month-two months and not fade because of heat styling. I have also settled on a hair colour and realized that red-pink is my jam, so I’m no longer blowing through colours and don’t NEED it to come out every month.
this dye has been perfect for my needs, but for others I can see this giving y’all trouble which is probably why this dye has a lower rating. first of all, to my seasoned dye veterans and anyone who is going to buy this dye DILUTE.
IT. I understand diluting usually leads to a lesser colour pay off or the colour being too light. I understand the instructions say “Do Not Dilute!” but TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS DYE IS WAY OVERLY CRAZY PIGMENTED UNLIKE ANY OTHER!!!! I used a Cake Beauty mask and a spoonful of it in an ion bowl and it was still a little bit too much! CUT THE FORMULA WITH SOMETHING I am begging you! or it will stain your skin and tub and bleed more than it has to, which is all totally fixable but a pain in the behind to do so.
trust me the colour payoff will be the same as just slathering it on your head raw! second of all if you want a low commitment dye that will fade out in the shower quickly because you have to be attending your uncle’s niece’s dog’s baby shower in three weeks and you want to not be blue-purple-green-red-whatever-headed THIS IS NOT IT! It is in my experience colour oopsable and bleachable to get it out but it will not just calmly go into the night with no effort (AKA the shower drain), this dye will probably barely even fade the first four weeks of washes.
Use something more forgiving on your kids or yourself like Arctic Fox!! it doesn’t need diluted unless you want pastels, it won’t hardly bleed or stain. no it won’t last as long but it is easier to deal with and if you don’t want it to last then perfect! third of all do not EVER put any kind of dye on your head UNLESS you are ready for your hair to be permanently changed!!! once dye is on your head irregardless of the brand irregardless of it being “semi” it is no longer virgin! semi permanent is still partially permanent and on top of that you never know how much your hair will like and cling to a formula so even Arctic Fox known for being forgiving can still hug your hair for dear life! TDLR; I would highly recommend this dye to anyone who wants a good long lasting fashion colour and knows what they’re doing from self dyeing experience.
I would not recommend this dye to a beginner, to someone who changes colours like a girl changes clothes (thank you Katy Perry) or to any parent who isn’t ready for their kid to, surprise, not be a professional hair stylist and get it everywhere! I hope this review was helpful, and possibly funny! good luck dyeing!.
Volume: 118ml Ingredients: Vegan Friendly, PPD Free! Duration: 4 – 6 weeks Additional Features: Benefits of Conditioning Hair, Resealable Tub, Comes With Instructions Please Note: Hair Dye Results May Vary Depending On Your Hair Type, Base Colour And Hair Porosity.
I absolutely loved this product and color when I had my hair dyed blue. It kept my color so vibrant. It does stain your hands, skin and tub so be careful when using it. If it does stain your tub it should fade over time.
You can put it straight on your hair or mix it with your conditioner to just touch up the color. The picture was taken right after coloring with the rockabilly blue. I would definitely buy this again.
Fantastic product! No animal cruelty in the production of this company’s creative colour. In fact. I have a great relationship with my hairdresser and he told me to get manic panic instead of the product they carry in house as he believes it to be a better product.
Hair felt vibrant and healthy and, despite not bleaching the hair first, the colour lasted quite awhile. Fantastic product and company.
I LOVE MANIC PANIC ❤️ This is my go to hair dye. It never disappoints! It’s vegan and cruelty free. Not harmful for your hair. It goes on your hair just as it comes. Open it, crack the seal and apply straight from the jar/bottle.
This is my new color as of tonight and it is amazing. The amplified is supposed to last longer and be a more vibrant, stronger color. The scent is rather nice with any of them you get. This one reminds me of the smell of grape tylenol.
Amazing Splat Hair Colour Dye Kit! Long-lasting permanent colour in 9 intense colours with vibrant results, formulated to nourish and condition. Our salon level hair colour dye formulations are only made from vegan ingredients with no animal by-products.

Aloe Vera helps moisturises, soothe, and condition hair helping to protect the scalp from irritation. Micro-colour molecules penetrate deeper into the hair shaft, depositing a higher amount of colour pigment into the hair.
The color on the box is super bright and beautiful. I was honestly nervous at first, because I didn’t know how my hair would do with Splat branded products. The instructions were simple enough, but I decided to go with a dip dye look.
The top of my hair stayed blonde, the bottoms tips are the bright blue, and the middle is a nice light blue. The smell was strong, but I feel like all hair dyes have a strong scent. I would use this again and possibly do an all over color.
I highly recommend! Also, I feel like it doesn’t fade as quickly as Manic Panic, so there’s something to consider, as well.
The Manic Panic Amplified semi-permanent hair color has 30% more pigment than High Voltage Classic hair color from the same brand. This formula is not meant for those with commitment issues, as it will last through a few washes.
This stronger and longer-lasting formula is available in many of the brand’s best-selling shades. The name and color are the same, but with intensity added, the Amplified version of this vegan hair color will stay brighter longer.
Long-lasting does not mean added chemicals, and you can rest assured that the Amplified formula is PPD and ammonia-free. As with all of Manic Panic’s hair coloring products, Amplified is tested on celebrities, not animals, and is always vegan and cruelty-free.
Features: Semi-permanent hair dye that lasts through a few washes Contains 30% more pigment for more vibrant colour Colour stays brighter and lasts longer May last up to 6-8 weeks with proper hair care PPD and ammonia-free formula Vegan and cruelty-free Works best on pre-lightened hairAbout the Brand: Vegan and cruelty free since 1977, Manic Panic is the trailblazing beauty brand that started the vivid hair color revolution in the USA over 4 decades ago.
Their mission has been to share their rainbow vision of Peace, Love and Glamour throughout the universe while staying true to our core beliefs. You can always expect the highest quality and integrity from anything that bears the Manic Panic name.
For 43 years, Manic Panic has been fiercely and independently women owned and operated by founders/sisters/singers/philanthropists Tish and Snooky Bellomo. From its glam, punk, and rock roots to its iconic position today in pop culture and fashion, the original Badass Beauty Brand invites everyone to unleash your inner rainbow.
I would consider this product to be more like a pink version of virgin snow. I understand tints and light hair dyes work best on platinum hair, BUT, I felt it was advertised more as a fully saturated dye.
It’s my fault that I didn’t look into it more, I assumed it would be thicker and more pigmented. I love manic panic and figured I’d give it a try after 10 years and I gave my hair some time to heal. However, even the fully platinum parts of my hair were just slightly tinted after using two bottles.
From my experience the dye hardly absorbed into my hair I even left it on a bit longer than instructed. I wish it had been advertised more as a pastel toner gel, I’m sad to be writing this review. It’s not a bad product, it just wasn’t as advertised.
Like I said it’s more like virgin snow than a full color, I suggest that they make some adjustments on the sample pictures and description. If you’re looking to SLIGHTLY tint platinum blonde hair to a pastel light neon pink color, then this is for you.
If you’re looking for full saturation, I’d go with one of their darker colors. It really was like a thin gel and hardly stuck to my hair, I understand the less blonde parts not being fully colored, but it was disappointing to have such an underwhelming effect on my super blonde sections.
My hair was left feeling soft, looking healthy and shiny so no complaints there, awesome formula, disappointing color. hopefully I have better luck with a deeper pink.
I am a natural brunette, growing out bleach since the pandemic. I like the ‘ashy brown with highlights’ look. I was a big Wella T18 (grey toner) fan. but the 20 volume developer required to make it stick, was turning my roots & ends ORANGE! Ugggh.
So, I tried Alien Grey semi at first, but it was subtle & only affected my lighter ends. this Amplified Dark Star worked much better to tone down the brassy warmth. My natural greys were not affected much, but they and the last of my light bits were a nice lavender grey.
And they blend in with the brown hair which is much cooler in tone now. The roots look much better and orange has been tamed! I will add some more later next week and see if I can’t get my brown back to its original neutral tone in a maintenance routine.
But this really helps, if you have ‘orange problems’ or your goal is ashy-purple-brown. Some things, you should leave to a pro, but it was a great quick fix. If I had really saturated it more, it would probably be more dark and cool toned.
If you have light hair it will def show as a lovely silvery lavender grey. I left one bottle on for maybe an hour with plastic cap, no heat, and rinsed with tepid water, no shampoo. Air dry, and give yourself a little conditioning on the ends, not too oily.
I would warn that generally MP colors do rough hair up a little bit – it may be ‘vegan’ product but it is not necessarily a conditioning product. I used a Hask purple conditioner & will use their purple shampoo later.
I purchased silver stiletto. I already have blonde hair but bleached it awhile back. Grew my roots out and recently rebleached those and then cleansed my hair with shampoo and no conditioner. After fully drying I used the whole bottle on my hair and it was thoroughly saturated, even rubbed it in to make sure.
Covered it as instructed for thirty minutes and NOTHING! Two big light blue blotches near the ends of my hair and nothing else. Vast Majority of my hair didn’t take the color. At minimum usually my hair will pick up color and keep it going for a few washes.
This product is Not even worth a dollar. Don’t buy this.

The package contains 1 ammonia free colorant, 1 cream color developer, 1 after-color conditioner and 1 application instructions. Personally, I followed the instructions on the manual step-by-step. I wanted to do it correctly because I haven’t dyed my hair in a few months.
I received the color “soft black”, and to my surprise, I loved it as a final result. I made sure to test this product 48 hours before dying my hair to see if I was allergic to it. All in all, I enjoyed dying my hair at home, and I would highly recommend this product, Revlon ColorSilk Permanent Hair Dye, to my family and friends that are interested in dying their hair at home.
I would just make sure inform them to follow the manual instructions for a salon-quality look.
Shopping for an at-home dye kit can be a daunting experience. When every box on the shelf over-promises luxe, salon-worthy locks that will sparkle like diamonds, it’s easy to overlook Revlon’s no-frills packaging.
Don’t be fooled by the simple packaging or too-good-to-be-true pricepoint: this is hands down the best product on the shelf. I’ve used various shades from the black / brown end of the spectrum and am amazed every time at the coverage, ease of use, and (most importantly) the results.
The results truly match the sample swatches on the box. If you’ve dyed your hair black before, you know box dyes sometimes have a tendency to lean blue / purple. I assure you, Colorsilk Black 10 is a TRUE black.
No undertones whatsoever. Other things I love about this product: there is ZERO harsh or unpleasant chemical smell (the only at-home dye I’ve ever been able to use in the bathroom with the door closed and no fan on).
The inevitable skin staining came out right away with just a bit of soap and water. Oh, and the conditioner packet they give you is liquid gold. I would seriously consider buying a box just for the conditioner if my hair ever needs a “pick me up.
” Bottom line: this stuff is great! If you’re on the fence, give it a chance. You will be very pleasantly surprised!.
During covid lockdown I didn’t know what to do with our growing hair as my husband and myself was unable to go to a hairdresser. I had just purchased a new good hair shaver to keep my husbands hair and beard looking good but what could I do? One evening I had the idea to actually shave my hair off with number 2 attachment.
I had previously bought and loved this product so I then sprayed my hair all over with this steel blue spray. I had a doctors appointment the next morning so I boldly walked in with my super short steel blue hairdo.
Both my doctor and the nurses raved about how good I look. I have even got stopped several times and asked what colour was I using. At 73yrs old I feel really funky this is an amazing product which not only colours my hair but also colours my scalp which makes for even coverage.
The great thing too is my hair is so easy to maintain and I don’t have to use creamy messy colours.
I was depressed some Months ago due to how frustrating it is dealing with bad credits, but reaching out to HACK VANISH via Phone: +1 (747) 293-8514 and Email: HACK VANISH (@) GMAIL. COM gave my life a new meaning, after I found him credible through positive reviews I read on a credit blog, in a twinkle of an eye, this great hacker got my credit score restored from 509 to 784 across the 3 major credit bureaus, all evictions and repossession has been wiped off, my LexisNexis and Chex system fixed respectively, to my greatest surprise, some days later, I received an E-mail confirming the approval of my pending loan application.
I can confidently say 2021 was an exceptional year for my husband and I as we are proud owners of a new home and a brand-new SUV courtesy HACK VANISH, I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a genuine Hacker.
I’ve used this brand a few times. I happy with the results. My hair always looks shiny after. The colour lasts 4-7 weeks depending how many times you wash it. Its easy to get out with colour remover too.
I’ve only used the red colours. The price is reasonable compared to other brands. I would certainly say its one of my go to brands.
For more of a vibrant colouring in your hair, Stargazer semi-permanent dye is the best choice for you. The colours are ammonia and peroxide free and are available in a variety of bright and dark colours.

Great colour BUT it ends up everywhere! Pillows, towels, clothing round the neck. I sleep with either hand under my head, when I get up my hands are stained, my neck & ears also stained. Not easy to wash off (including my bath).
Easy to apply used it for several years. I am 72 with spikey Stargazer Plume. Compliments from all ages. Often saying I love your hair colour but I would not dare to do mine. I thank them for the compliment and under my breath think GET A LIFE.
This product is easy to use, reasonably priced and results in beautiful, bright, vibrant coloured hair. Unfortunately, as is the case with most brightly coloured dyes, it needs to be used regularly to maintain richness of colour.
I have had several compliments from strangers since using this particular shade, tropical green! I LOVE this colour!.

My daughter has blonde hair that is not bleached. Every summer I dye her hair, generally, I use colorista, but I thought we would try punky color. We bought the twisted teal and the lavender cloud. We processed it according to directions and let it sit for 30mins.
The Raw lavender cloud & cotton candy didn’t even show in her hair, however, the twisted teal looked great.
I’ve been using punky raw for a year or so and really like it, so I was surprised this particular color was so bad. On my freshly bleached hair it only half-worked – lots of blond hair left – and then completely faded within a week.
I even used some of the teal at the same time and that is going strong, so it’s just the lavender that’s bad. Try a different color!.
This is by far my favorite shade of green hair dye I have ever used. I’ve tried other brands but found this one one a whim and ended up loving it. The color is even more vibrant than I anticipated. I would absolutely use this product again.
For intense results the dye should be applied to bleached hair. When applied to virgin (unprocessed) hair results will vary according to hair texture and color. Size: 88 ml tub La Riche Directions application instructions: 1.
Shampoo your hair with a PH acid balanced shampoo. This will give the hair the correct acid balance, allowing directions hair colour to achieve the best results. 2. Towel dry the hair, apply directions with a tint brush evenly through the hair.
3. Comb directions into the hair until it emulsifies, i. e. becomes frothy, the pigments will have penetrated into the hair, lighter shades may require a little more combing. 4. Processing time is between 15-30 minutes, a plastic cap will contain the heat on the hair, helping to achieve a better result.
5. Rinse the hair thoroughly away from the face with warm water until all the residue dye has been removed.
Ive always used LaRiche ever since I discovered them over 10 years ago so I can wholeheartedly recommend the brand. But each colour has its own pigment problems. Unfortunately yellow dyes dont stick well and Sunflower is no exception.
Luckily I have very short hair so the tub lasts me for months (you dont have to use it all in one go you can save it for up to 3 months after you open it). But I will have to keep topping up the colour every week or so.
But the colour is glorious! And the quality is the usual LaRiche standard so buy with confidence.
I bought the colour Ebony and never has any other hair dye, black or another colour. stainer so much as this did. The floor of my shower is completely blue, and so is my back. So be aware of that. My hair is black, so it did work.
The undertone is not the best and some spots look a bit greenish. I had light pink hair before applying Ebony. However, I have used pinks and oranges from Directions before, and those were good for the price and fade nicely.
I tried a lot of La Riche shades while I was bleaching. They are well pigmented, cheap, have a great selection and would be a good choice if you want more than one colour in your hair. White toner: I didn’t think this really did anything unfortunately and I would have always gone for silver toner Silver toner: was amazinb to lighten to white or beyond to silver etc.
Even though it always looked a bit scary as a bog tub of navy blue. Daffodil: a great bright yellow shade that lasted about 2 weeks before it just looked like brassy blond. This was the colour I always found washed out quickest.
Flamimgo: a lovely pink colour that I usually watered down with conditioner to get a pastel shade which would usually last a month before needing topping up. Carnation pink: this one was a good shade too, though I found it lasted longer than flamingo.
Neon Blue: this was a very dark blue, I didn’t like this as it gave my hair a shiny/cheap wig look unfortunately. It took about 3 months to fade into a nice pastel that i did like- and that was without using any colour protection.
It also wouldn’t fade completely as a semi permanent so I ended up having to grow and cut it out.

This is a safety summary. Read all labeling and instructions completely.
A great hair color at a great price. I am not African American but this product does very well for my Middle Eastern hair. It is watery enough to spread well and it colors within 30 minutes the most stubborn grays.
No hair fall like other products either. I use the jet black shade and no harsh odor either. The cream conditioner that comes with the product needs to be used very little at a time unless it would make the hair too greasy.
I absolutely love this Auburn color. Naturally, my hair is a dark, dirty brown. When I add this color, usually every 3 months or so (now more grey), I absolutely love my hair again. It looks alive and I wear it out.
I was so excited when I first got this to dye my hair. I was really bored with my look. so I went to try something new. I went to the store or my local Walgreens and bought this particular product. The price point was very reasonable as well so I will say that.
I took the product home and start applying it to my hair it did look like it was taking. However when it was time to rinse out the product I noticed that my hair looked pretty much the same. With a small tint I could only see if it was sunny outside.
Needless to say I am not thrilled with this product.
Kiss Express Color Semi Permanent Hair Color K69 Midnight Blue 3. 5 oz Excellent color enhancement to your natural hair color that’s gentle enough to use after relaxer. With 24 vivid, inter-mixable colors to choose from, you’ll get superior gray coverage that lasts.
Ideal for use after bleaching to enhance the tone of natural hair color or to help blend grays.
I purchased this product as a cost effective alternative to a product that was good but too expensive for the minimum quantity they offered. This hair dye product is more concentrated and therefore easily stretched to the consistency of my previous product with the same results.
In other words, I can make this product last longer for much less – Cha-Ching$$. As a mid-40’s guy, I use it to “fill in” a slightly receding hairline and my goatee (beard) for a natural look once visiting the barber (who is me).
I went to the gym this morning for my AM workout, 10 minute sauna and then showered and was careful not to aggressively rub the ‘colored’ area and lightly pat dry to preserve the coloring. The color appear to be holding up fairly well just be careful with handling it because they recommend using plastic gloves when handling and I know why – it stains easily.
I recommend placing an old towel over your application area to assure your countertops or sink basin does not get stained. This will be my “go-to” hair product secret weapon replacement and I will definitely purchase again.
If you’re looking for great bold colors than KISS semi permanent is for you. Their IG page have great color ideas. I have been using semi permanents since I was sixteen and I’m still a customer til this day.
I recommend this product to any parent who child wants to experience with colors in their had. My go to favorite is always reds and oranges. You can find this product at your local hair stores and probably some big retailers like Walmart and Target.
Works great. When putting it on it will look really dark like your beard is unreal. I learned to let it set for 15-30 minutes then rinse my beard with cold or warm water or even take a shower. After that everything looks normal black.
I use raw coconut oil on my face and beard and bam Im good to go out.
I recently began dying my hair naturally brown hair with henna. I used the henna guys previously and would have to do the two step process (4 hrs of henna followed by 4hrs of indigo) in order to achieve dark results.
It was so time consuming! I began looking for other products and came across this one and I am so glad I did!! I was pleasantly surprised on how fast this henna worked and how dark it got my hair in 60 minutes! My hair never turned this shade with the other henna.
It doesn’t turn it jet black like chemical hair dyes, but rather a beautiful soft black that looks so natural. I’m in love and so happy that it’s 100% all natural. You don’t have to worry about putting harmful chemicals on your scalp/hair.
The only thing is a few of my grays were not covered completely. Maybe I have to leave it on longer next time. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for an all natural dark hair dye!.
I have tried many henna combinations, that usually don’t work. I’m 53 and my hair became very grey from lack of coloring. I was born with jet black hair and decided to try this product and I’m so glad I did.
It covered most of my greys in 120 minutes. I think with one more touch up process soon, it will be just where I want it. The smell is not over powering like most henna products are. I have sensitivities to just about everything, but this did not cause any itching or discomfort.
It rinsed out nicely without the henna crumbs still stuck in my hair. I’m very happy with my results and will definitely purchase again!! Thank you!.
I have been using chemical hair colors for over 10 years now and was always thinking to discontinue when I get a great organiz product. I have tired henna and indigo powder previously but never got a great coverage like this product.
Henna and indigo powder leaves a heaviness in the hair after wash due to no shampoo and I was aware of it. but this product was better than all other organic natural products I have tried before. Great great coverage and doesn’t fade away after couple of washes.
Awesome demi-permanent color that’s easy to apply, mess-free and gentle on hair. Washes out in 4-6 weeks. Select from 7 shades! All Color Cloud Kits include: – Foaming Developer – Latex-Free Gloves – Hair Dye Color – Undereye Gels – 2 Hair Clips – De-stress Putty.
Hally had really great packaging and provided the following: foam, hair dye, stress puddy, eye strips. I appreciate the step by steps on how to combine the dye and the foam. I used the product immediately and sectioned my hair into three sections.
I lathered. The product does smell good by the way. I let it sit and then after 10-15 mins I added whatever was left int he bottle. My hair is dark brown but I have caramel to blonde balayage. All parts of my hair turned purple.
The darker brown was more noticeable in the sun. The parts that were blonde and dyed purple came out very maroon. I did not wash my hair for about a week after applying (I do not wash my hair often as it will dry the **** out of my scalp – and yes I do use shampoos and conditioners that are sulfate and other things free).
After washing my hair for the first time since applying I could tell that more dye washed away and the look was a little faded. I do not think this look will last the four weeks for someone who washes their hair frequently.
I may get by because of how long I go without washing my hair. Overall, it is a good product.
I really loved using Hally! I used atomic blonde on my dark blonde/ brown hair. I was a golden blonde when I was younger and still would be if I went out in the sun lol. But now Im indoors all the time and my hair was very brunnette with blonde undertones/highlights.
Ive used hydrogen peroxide and lemon juice to lighten in the sun before but this worked so much better! Not quite as light as I was hoping for in my daydreams but definately lighter that I thought I could go in an hour without bleach! I have thick hair down to almost the bottom of my ribcage and one bottle was enough that I had so much foam I didnt know what to do with it.
I left the foam on for an hour and love the results! oh also I did try 48 hours before to mix some of the developer and color (like a teaspoon) and did one small section of my hair but it didnt do anything, when I used the whole bottle though and shook it up it worked great.
****** Asian hair, got Cola Coaster to cover a few gray strands and tone my dark, almost-black brown hair. Was hoping to get a softer, milkier brown than my natural color. I wanted to try Hally because I wanted to keep my hair healthy and not have to spend hundreds at the salon for another shade of dark brown.
The box suggests leaving it on longer for more color and I did that because I was worried that my hair was too dark and coarse to absorb color. After dying the tone is a more soft, milky dark brown than my natural color, which is what I wanted! It’s a deep chestnut but there is a soft, milky tint to it.
Came out soft and feels healthy still. My gray strands are still there but they are much less visible than before. It’s only been one day so I hope it lasts longer than a handful of washes. If it does I’ll buy it again.
If you are looking to dye your dark hair blue without bleaching it first, you will unfortunately be disappointed. This is because blue hair dye requires a very light base to adhere to, and dark hair simply does not provide that.
You would need to strip all the color from your hair first using a powerful bleaching agent, and then hope that your hair could withstand the intense bleaching process required to get it light enough for the blue dye to take.
In short, bleaching your dark hair to blue is simply not possible without causing serious damage to your hair.
