20 Best Blow Dry Brush For Short Hair
1. Drybar The Single Shot Round Blow-Dryer Brush
Product Type:Luxury Beauty
Item Package Dimension:35.56 cm L X35.56 cm W X43.18 cm H
This dryer brush combines the hot air of a blow dryer with the structure of a round brush to create waves, curls, and a smooth, shiny blowout in one quick, simple step. The ionic technology reduces frizz and adds tons of shine while styling, while the strategically placed vents provide maximum airflow for a faster blowout.
A combination of nylon and tufted bristles allows for exceptional tension and control. Its round shape is perfect for shorter hair styles and creating loose waves and curls. How do I use it: After shampooing, thoroughly towel dry hair to remove excess water (for extra-thick or long hair, it may be necessary to rough dry hair with a regular blow-dryer before using The Single Shot).
Brush out hair using a detangling brush or comb, and separate into large sections. Place The Single Shot underneath each section and work it gradually from roots to ends, until the section is dry and smooth.
The Single Shot can also be used on dry hair to create a smooth, finished look. For loose curls and waves, use vertically throughout the hair. For volume at the roots, use horizontally at the crown. From Drybar.
This is life changing for disabled people or those with arthritis in the upper limbs or carpal tunnel and for people post surgery. I purchased for my just above my shoulder length hair based on other users experiences and they are all spot on! I have fine wavy hair but a lot of it so there is frizz.
I use a T3 hairdryer Oribe blow out cream a DryB mini flat brush , a T3 single flat iron and a Calista round brush curing iron. This tool replaces all of them with better results! I love the just walked out of salon look and i’ve received three compliments from random people asking me who does my hair.
The brush bristles are gentle on your scalp. I towel dried my hair let it air dry for about 5 minutes with Oribe blow out product and after two passes my hair was sleek & smooth & shiny. I almost bought the T3 competitor but when i saw the reviews for this & before & after photos i jumped.
The anniversary sale is the same price but it includes dry bar blow out products. I prefer my own Oribe so i purchased pre-sale. if you want a quick professional blow out in less than 10 minutes buy this product it’s the price of 2 blow outs plus tip.

As a hairstylist, I’ve been seeing guests over the last two years come in with extremely heat damaged hair from the revlon one step quarantine purchase. Almost all have been in love with the ease of styling but the damage wasn’t worth it.
I knew there must be a better option that wasn’t a $500 dyson. So I blind bought this to try myself and GOOD GOD IS IT A SAVIOR! I have very dense, coarse 2c hair thanks to my very European mom and Filipino dad.
And this magical tool is a game changer. PRO TIPS FROM A PRO: -make sure your hair is 60-70% hair dried or blow dried before you use this tool. -for the love of all that is holy, USE A HEAT PROTECTANT -section your hair and start from the bottom! -brush your subsection before using the dry brush to prevent extra tension that could cause breakage -make sure to dry eAch side of your subsections and slowly glide the dryer brush starting at the root -cry with joy because it only took you 15mins to dry your whole head of hair and it actually stays smooth.
-throw away your revlon and never look back ~LAST BUT NOT LEAST! Use a little eyelash wand(clean old mascara wand, or maybe the spooly end of your dead to you Anastasia eyebrow pencil, heck even just ask a lovely employee at Sephora if you can have one!) and CLEAN the air intake screens on the bottom of the brush weekly! You will be surprised how quickly dust and product buildup will clog the screen!~ You’re so welcome.
ve been using volumizing blowout brushes for several years now. I’ve used Revlon’s, Hot Tools (my favorite), Drybar (my least favorite and retuned), Dyson’s (don’t even get me started) and now I’ve been using Amika’s for several weeks now.
I’d like to give it a higher rating because there are some important Pros. First, it does feel lighter to. This is huge for me because I have fibromyalgia and a lot of neck and shoulder pain. The lighter weight, while not hugely lighter, is a plus for me.
Another pro is that I think it switches from high heat to lower heat better than any others, although, I wouldn’t call it a cool temperature but it does cool down a little faster to lock-in the shape.
The biggest Pro is that I feel that the far-infrared heat seems to dry my hair faster than any others. I’ve found that using far-infrared technology is a huge PRO. Now for the cons: It feels more difficult to use because unlike the other brands, there’s nothing to hold onto at the top of the brush, which is especially important when trying to over direct the roots for volume.
Another HUGE con and something ALL volumizing blowout brushes lack, including Amika’s, is the use of much higher quality bristles. The bristles should real boar bristles. The cheap bristles being used bend and become misshapen which defeats the purpose.
Also, the bristles are spaced too far apart which splits the hair shaft and leaves marks in the hair, especially at the roots. All of these blowout tools have this issue, including this one which, is too bad because Amika could have really differentiated themselves from their competitors by really rethinking the types, quality, and spacing of the bristles.
Amika tried to differentiate their blowout brush by using far-infrared technology, but, unfortunately that’s not enough. For those of us who truly want lasting volume , we cannot get it with these types of bristles or the spacing of them because there’s just not enough tension to truly over direct the roots.
And again, because of the spacing, it splits the shaft and leaves marks in the hair or unwanted part lines. That lacks it’s true ability to provide a “salon†quality blowout one can achieve with a good boar bristle round brush and blow dryer.
Another con is, it’s lacking a cold-shot button to lock in the style. Again, Amika could have really set theirs apart by being more innovative. In fact, had these cons been considered during their design phase, with a large user group, including experienced stylists, Amika could have introduced something phenomenal and, at even a much higher price point.
In short, based on my opinion of the cons, I really cannot say there’s enough functional or meaningful differences between Amika’s or any of the Helen of Troy versions. They really are all so remarkably similar that I’m disappointed that Amika couldn’t have thought about a more original and innovative design with much higher quality bristles and features.
I wonder if highly qualified stylists or end-users are even consulted during the design process. Whoever can accommodate and accomplish adding my list of cons to their design will blow away ALL the knock-offs and competition.
I really wish the designers would take this type of feedback much more seriously. Most consumers would pay a much higher price point for a better type of tool that is truly revolutionary, not just another model of the basically same thing that’s already been in the marketplace by Helen of Troy for some time now.
I would love to be involved with the design process in the future.
Gifted by Amika but the love is all mine. The brush is exactly what it sounds like: a round brush and blow dryer hybrid. There are several reason I am loving this brush. First, its large size and oval shape helps create volume at the top allowing you to create voluminous waves.
Second, its tourmaline-coated barrel emits negative ions and far-infrared technology to get rid of that frizz. Third, the tool features a variety of bristle sizes to help smooth, detangle, and prevent damage.
It also has three heat settings, including cooling, so you’ve got options. If you’ve never used a tool like this before give yourself some time to learn how to use it. It does take a little practice.
Combines the hot air of a blow-dryer with the structure of a small round brush to create defined curls and waves for a smooth, shiny blowout in one quick, simple step. Perfect for layers and detailed styling!.
I loved this blow dry brush! This was my first time ever using one. I used about 5-6 passes per section of hair and my hair came out smooth and shiny. The only issue I had was using the on and off switch i had to make sure my hands were cleaned off with any products from my heat protector.
I wish it had buttons instead. Other than that I loved how simple it is to use to achieve the beautiful bouncy blowout I created. I got so many “Is that your real hair?” Questions.
This blow dryer is a game changer. It gave me salon quality blow dry at home. Love that it combines the hot air of a blow-dryer with the structure of a small round brush to create defined curls and waves for a smooth, shiny blowout in one quick, simple step.
Perfect for layers and detailed styling. It is so easy to use, towel dried hair can be styled and dried at the same time. Such a time saver.
Love the Dry Bar blow-dryer brush! Makes drying my hair easier using one tool instead of two! Love that I can get silky waves without having to use a curling iron!!! A must have staple for anyone who likes to roll brush their hair for volume! Perfect for all lengths and types of hair! Did I mention the half shot is lightweight!!!.

Important Information Directions Select the desired heat and speed setting of the Rose Gold Blowout Dryer Brush by rotating the bottom dial. Next, place hair in sections while brushing from the bottom and working your way up until hair is detangled.
Finally, glide the brush through hair as normal until dry.
I got this foxybae and I would give this 3 out of 5 star. First I like this a lot because its beautiful and rosegold color. It is very lightweight which is impressive and what every Lady needs is a lightweight brush.
The wire doesn’t get you tangled which is a bonus. It has 3 settings and which is cool, low and high heat and back to 0. I have a long hair and very thick hair so this works for me. The brush is very very big and theres only one brush inside and it makes your hair shiny.
I love that this is brush and dryer all in one but for me this is not really what I’m looking for because it doesn’t dry my hair quick. My hair is very very thick and It needs a good blower. It takes time drying my hair and I can’t really style my hair that much of a cute curls.
Price wise this is not really what I am looking for a brush and dryer at the same time. I would give this 3 out of 5.
I absolutely love this blow dryer brush! I just got it and love how good my hair looks! I have wavy, thick, coarse, frizzy hair. You’d never know that by how amazing my hair looks from using this. It’s simple to use, has 3 settings: cool-c, low-1, high-2x.
There is a ring around the bottom of the brush handle and that’s what you adjust with. 1 is for thin and/or damaged hair, w is for thick, unruly, frizzy hair. I used 2 and then 1 around the gram of my face.
Making sure to give a cool shot after each section. I finished off with some Moroccan oil, the results being better than I’ve ever had! As with all heat tools make sure to apply your thermal protectant before use.
I was super excited to try this after I bought it as an add on to my fabfitfun box. The tool itself looks nice and seems sturdy. I have very fine hair that is somewhat thin and this is just not it for me.
It dried my hair fairly quickly but when I was done, I saw all the hair it pulled out that was stuck in the brush. This is super disappointing but may be due to my own hair rather than the product, I can’t say for sure.
I was super careful not to pull to much when using it too. I achieve better lift and volume with a barrel brush and blow dryer and don’t lose nearly as much hair.

I am not someone who enjoys the process of getting “presentable”. I just want to look reasonably put together without standing in front of the mirror for an hour. I would only blow dry my hair when I had to get fancy, and even then, I would just roughly blow dry my hair upside down, then finish with a small hot air brush.
It didn’t look great, but it was fine. I bought this thing on whim after watching a YouTube review and I’m in looooove. It’s chonky, but it’s really light, which is awesome, because my muscles get fatigued quickly and using a regular dryer and brush was kind of exhausting by the end.
I have long, fine, straight hair and I just work in 3rds from the bottom up, and all my hair is fully dry, super straight, and shockingly smooth in less than 20 minutes. Maybe way less, I haven’t actually timed it.
It gets hot enough to dry my hair fast AF, but not enough to make my head sweaty or hurt my scalp when I’m at the roots because of the bristle length. (Don’t get me wrong, the barrel will definitely burn your finger a lil bit if your hand slips, but that’s just hot tools in general.
) This thing is a game changer for me. Maybe even a HG. Yeah, it is. I love it. My only concern is with maintenance/cleaning. I use the tail of a comb to pull off the loose hairs around the barrel after each use, but I noticed that the little nubby short bristles seem to have some product buildup where they come out of the barrel.
I’m not sure if that will affect performance long term or if there’s anything I can do about it, but maybe CS can answer that? Anyway, if you’re on the fence, get this, it’s the best.
I loved this tool. Then it randomly stopped working. Was outside of the year warranty and the company said there was nothing they could do other than offer me 25% discount code for a new purchase. To clarify I bought this tool Nov 30, 2021 and it stopped working Jan 4, 2022.
So I had it for a year 1 month and 5 days when it stopped working- NOT grossly outside the warranty. I could understand them saying no if had been 2 years but I was barely over warranty. For the price, I just don’t think it’s worth it.
There are cheaper alternatives on the market with similar specs to this. I can’t speak to performance pf other brands blowout brushes, but my cheap af target straightener lasted me like 5 years before crapping out.
I am gentle with my tools- I actually kept the box and always stored it in there. Unless you can buy this on sale I don’t recommend at this price, especially cause you very well may be needing to repurchase a replacement in a year or less.
Additionally I really think they delete negative reviews. When I google this tool it has less stars but when I click on reviews here the lowest I see is four stars. This is my HONEST review- did I love the results of this product? Yes it is easy to use and offers a great blowout, but be wary on it’s shelf life.
It may be worth it to check out another brand instead. I’m off to try the Revlon– if I wind up thinking INH is better I will come back and eat my words. Also there is a learning curve with blowout brushes for newbs.
My advice- only use on damp or almost dry hair- not sopping wet. Do your hair in small sections- believe me you’ll save time in the long run. And if you want more volume hold the brush vertically as you twist the barrel and horizontally out beside your head.
If that doesn’t make sense lookup Audrey Victoria on youtube or IG. She has a video using the Revlon blowout brush but they work the same way. Once I followed those tips my results were flawless.
The brush is okay. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a hairdresser but the cord isn’t it honey. Too short and it tangles as you rotate the brush. It’s also really hard to handle the brush because of how thick it is.
I was afraid of it falling out of my hand and into the toilet. You need tension to have a good smooth blowout. The brush is too wide and spaced out to get a good grip on the hair. My hair was falling off the sides as I rotated the brush.
I hate having to continuously stop turn the knob to cool, wait for it to actually cool down, and smooth the cuticle. It’s way to time consuming. I had to pass over a section multiple times to try and smooth the hair.
I thought a blowout brush would make my life easier. But it was more time consuming than doing a blowout with a round brush and dryer. Oh and my hair got sucked into the bottom of the brush where the fan sits.
Obviously I’m a hairdresser and am knit picking everything little thing. But it’s my money and I know what I want in a product. It’s a blow dryer and a brush combined. It shouldn’t be this difficult.
This hair dryer and volumizer can be used to style wet or dry hair detangling it with The Knot Dr. Flexalite? Bristles while adding volume and shine from the ceramic coated barrel and ionic generator.
The vertical airflow vents allow for optimal performance along the oval shaped barrel, which smooths the hair out while adding volume at the root and soft bouncy curls at the ends. This Hot Air Brush is perfect for any age or hair type with its 2 heat settings plus cool shot button with 1,000 watts for powerful, quick hair drying and styling.
6-foot professional line cord. Bonus: volume pik attachment included for extra root lift. Achieve flawless volume and brilliant shine at home with the Detangling Hot Air Brush from INFINITIPRO by Conair.
The attachments for this brush that are available take it from a good hair tool to a great one, I really love that I can make it into a straightening blowout, curling blowout, diffuser, and hair dryer in one.
So much better than the revlon one step and its siblings, much lower heat for less damage, and cheaper! I have fine, long, wavy hair that I struggle to get body into. I typically will use this brush on the lowest heat setting on everyday use, while for fancier days I will use it with high heat and velcro rollers.
For a curled look, I reccomend using the smaller brush that you can buy separately, using tension on each piece of hair, and then roll into a velcro roller. If you do this around your head, it gives some really nice body and wave to your hair.
I also have wavy hair, and I have used the diffuser successfully in the past. The only qualms I have with this is that the power of the air coming from it isn’t super high, so it can take a long time to dry as a hairdryer, I think of it more as a hair tool for once my hair is almost dry.
The most glaring issue is that the black paint flakes off, as I’m sure some reviewers have noted. It’s not a deal breaker for me but might be for you! Overall this makes me feel like I own a Dyson air wrap for a lot lot less, and I love using it since I hate using actual hot tools that can burn me.
I used my new ConAir “The Knot Dr. ” blowdryer just last night and was “Blown Away” by its amazingness! You see what I did there?? 🙂 But seriously, this is a wonderful new addition to my hair care regimen and a very effective blow dryer.
My intention was to straighten my toddler’s curly hair for easy styling – which is typically a major fight – and this did not disappoint in making it a much easier process. The dryer is a good compact size which makes for easy handling, and the soft bristles helped to create a “no-cry” experience for the little one and me! The 3 air settings are just enough heat/cooling to dry but not damage the hair, and it creates an easy glide through the hair.
The only shortfall is that the handle is a bit wide and may be difficult to grasp at the right angle. Also, it would have been nice if the cord was a bit longer. I had to add an extension cord for across the room use, but that’s a small thing compared to the benefits this dryer provides.
I’m considering buying one for my niece too! Thanks for such a great product ConAir!.
I can’t say enough great things about this! I have long and thick hair that always seems to stay tangled. I let it air dry and rarely style it because within a couple hours it’s too tangled and I have to brush out the styling anyways.
I never blow dry it because that just creates more tangles for me. I bought the on a whim thinking it may be easier on my hair on the rare occasion that I do style it. I am absolutely blown away by the results! It doesn’t spin and so it doesn’t snag my hair.
The brush absolutely tackles all of my tangles with ease. I do let my hair air dry as much as possible before use to cut down on the time spent drying it. It leaves my hair silky smooth and the tangles don’t return so I can actually count on keeping the style all day.
In fact, my hair stays smooth and tangle free for a few days! I saw many reviews mentioning that the dryer is weak and/or not hot enough, but for me it actually gets very hot and dries my long thick hair in no time – I really wouldn’t want it to be any more powerful.
I highly recommend this product, especially for anyone that is fighting tangles non stop!.

Created for the perfect blowout. Our philosophy is simple Focus on one thing and be the best at it. For us that’s blowouts Combines the hot air of a blow-dryer with the structure of a round brush to create a smooth, shiny blowout with tons of volume in one quick, simple step.
I used the Revlon version of this hot tool for 2 years and loved it. When it was time for a new blow dry brush I decided to “upgrade” to the Dry Bar as I am a big fan of many of their products. let me tell you I am SHOCKED at my experience.
Not only is the price way too high for almost zero difference from it’s competition, this tool randomly stopped working after 2 months of use. I only ever use my blow dry brush twice a week and I always store it properly.
A week after it didn’t turn on, I decided to try one more time to see if maybe it was a bad outlet or something. I plugged the brush in, turned it on and immediately saw a glowing red orb within the brush.
The handle got burning hot INSTANTLY and the brush began smoking, this happened within SECONDS of me twisting the handle to turn it on. It nearly combusted into flames in my hand. I have no idea how such a poorly-made, dangerous product made it’s way onto the market, especially by a brand like Dry Bar.
I’ve read way too many other reviews about dangerously defective brushes, this item should be pulled until Dry Bar can fix the issues this tool clearly has!.
New color. Still delivers gorgeous volume and brilliant shine in a single step Unique oval brush design for smoothing the hair, while the round edges create volume. Designed with nylon pin & tufted bristles for detangling, improved volume and control.
3 heat/speed settings + Cool option for styling flexibility Unlike conventional hair dryers, this volumizer can be placed closer to the scalp for lift Unit is designed for 120 Volt USA outlets only. Do not use a voltage converter as it will damage the unit.
Note that wattage of this appliance may vary depending on the location of use.
I am in shock. I have tried nearly every type of hair styling devices imaginable, even that old rotating hairbrush used in conjunction with a traditional dryer. I always resorted back to a round brush and hair dryer.
Ive honestly gotten so good with blowouts over the years that I rarely needed to add in a flat iron finish. The past few years I stopped straightening and went back to my naturally curly 3a style, only busting out the blow dryer once or twice a year.
From wet to straight, shoulder length, would take me about an hour to blowout given its coarseness and density. This Revlon dryer kept popping up, and I finally decided to try it, fully expecting to return it.
I thought it might cut down my hair styling time by five or ten minutes, which isnt really worth the investment, in my opinion. I was so, so wrong. I wasnt ready for a wash, so I decided to just wet a single strand to see how it worked.
It came out nice, straight and shiny–great. But, a single strand proves little. Out of curiosity, I decided to try it on a dry strand of hair. My hair was stretched smooth at the roots from air drying in a tight wrap but pretty curly/wavy at the ends.
Normally if I attempted to use a blow dryer and round brush on my naturally air dried hair, I would expect to get considerable frizz, denting, and strange lumpy/rigid bits. I cant even use a flat iron on my air-dried hair for the same reasons.
It is really stubborn unless styled from wet. I picked a nice fat chunk of dry hair, because I didnt come to play. I applied the Revlon dryer, and in seconds, the strand went from poofy to sleek. I felt a strange sort of veneration after this.
I pulled out my phone to time myself. I still expected it would take me 20-30 minutes to get my entire head done, and that I might struggle with smoothing out the more unruly bits. This is the honest to God truth.
It took less than ten minutes. I stood petting my sleek hair, mouth agape, for another ten minutes, just to run out the timer, you.
I never knew how other women can maneuver both a brush and a hairdryer at the same time. Maybe it’s a simple task for most people, but it’s never been easy for me. That’s why I needed this product. I think it’s an ingenious invention! I have very fine hair that tangles easily, so brushing repeatedly while drying is a must to prevent it from drying up into a big tangle.
I will say, this device is quite bigger than expected and rather heavy however, once you get used to maneuvering it, it’s really very intuitive. Just hold out/onto sections of your hair and brush from top to bottom, repeatedly.
It helps to separate the hair in layers, too. This device gets the job done fairly quickly with minimal tangling. A final note of caution: The high mode gets surprisingly hot… I’d say it’s closer to the heat level of a hair straightener than a blow dryer.
So be very careful not to touch the brush part OR the upper handle with your fingers while it’s on high heat. Keep your grip on the lower handle. I am very satisfied with this product and plan to continue using it exclusively…goodbye, blow dryer!.
I rarely blow dry my hair – yes, out of laziness, but also not wanting to damage it more than I already do. I like the brush and its easy to section the hair. I had another one that broke – dryer itself kinda broke and made this squealing noise – so bought another one.
Im guessing I had the first one for a year or so, so maybe the quality isnt as good b/c, as mentioned above, I wasnt using it every day. One thing I dont like is the the ease to use it. There are three settings – cool, med, hot.
I tend to start with hot to get the hair straightened or curled and then set it to cool to kinda lock it in. The PITA part is trying to switch it without accidentally shutting it off. The switch is in the base and you twist it to get to the right setting.
Its more annoying than anything else. Otherwise, I really like it – again, Im lazy and like using this instead of a flat iron which I know will DEFINITELY damage the hair. I do spray on some of that stuff thats supposed to protect your hair before I use it.
Also, I tend to wait until my hair air dries a bit before using – its not a tool you can use like a traditional hair dryer to wave around to get the excess water out, you need to use the brush.
Your John Frieda styling tool includes a high-voltage (advanced) ionic generator that generates up to 50% more ions than ions created from natural sources. The electronic ionizer generates negative ions, which neutralize positive ions in the atmosphere.
This process flattens and seals the hair cuticle, reducing frizziness and flyaways, eliminating static electricity, and contributing to shine and manageability. The ceramic coating on your John Frieda styling tool is a fusion of titanium and ceramic that evenly distributes heat to gently style and protect hair from damaging hot spots.
The titanium is a harder, more durable, heat-resistant metal able to withstand higher heat than aluminum or other metals. Salon-shape hot air brush.
I have very long and fine hair with a natural wave that frizzes out when left to dry “as is”, so after letting my hair dry half way I use one squirt of a heat protectant serum in my hair than brush my hair in sections using the heat setting (which is quite gentle and nowhere near as forceful as a normal hair dryer).
This allows me to coax my natural wave out or dry to a smooth finish. This tool is both gentle on your hair and highly effective (and rather fool proof). Highly recommend.
I’ve had this product for about 6 years and I use it frequently. I purchased it long before the recent craze of air brushes because I love the 90s blow out style but I’ve never been able to do it with a regular dryer and brush.
This product changed my world and I couldn’t live without it now. Easy to use, good selection of temperatures and lightweight.
I’ve been growing out a super short pixie for about a year and 3 months, and my hair is extreeeeemeley thick and wavy. So basically, my hair has looked really awkward and uncute since I started growing it out.
When I straighten it with a flat iron, it looks stiff and shapeless. When I blowdry it, it looks poofy as heck. The only style I’ve been able to do is heatless, scrunchy curls that I’m getting kinda tired of because I want to show off the length of my hair now that I’m finally getting to the stage where it’s transitioning into a short bob.
Let me tell you, if you’re like me, this tool is absolutely AMAZING. It’s perfect for my thick, frizzy hair, and leaves me with a salon quality look. Nothing awkward, shapeless, or stiff. But also not frizzy or overly wavy.
It also leaves my hair super shiny and bouncy. I usually use a drugstore heat protectant and follow up with some argon oil. Love love love!.

I purchased the Blowout brush in February 2022. I’ve only used it a few times and thought it was great the first time. It worked perfectly on my thick, frizzy hair. Grabbed it to use the other day and after one brush through it start making a clicking noise.
A minute later it started smelling like it was burning. I immediately unplugged it and inspected the brush. Believing it was ok, I plugged it back in and turned it on. It made the same clicking noise, then started smoking and caught alight.
Really scary! So glad it didn’t happen when my daughter was using it. I’m so disappointed in this product.
The John Frieda hot air brush utilizes advanced ionic technology giving you 50 percent more ions when in use. It has 2 heat settings and a cool shot setting to lock styles in place. The titanium ceramic coated barrel gives you safe, even heat without any damaging hot spots.
With 500 watts of power you can truly dry with power. Enhanced air control. Swivel cord.
It’s not that I dislike this. it’s just not enough for my thick hair. I was looking for something that would help shorten my drying time (rough/brush dry to about 75-80% then finish with this) but it took sooooo loooong to finish.
I had to work in smaller sections and keep going over and over. I like the combination of bristles and the boar bristles really help give you a sleek finish. but in order to get out all the “poof” and most of the frizz from my hair, it could not be an everyday thing.
And even if I wanted to make my hair REALLY look good, I’d still have to finish with a curling iron. This would be fine for an everyday look, but just takes too long. I am confident this would be a good choice if you have thinner hair.
It was very easy to use. Also – I was worried that it would get tangled in my hair, but did not, so that was a plus. I will probably return this. FWIW, the girl at the store that I asked about it steered me away from the Revlon similar product I was going to purchase.
So – it’s probably better than the Revlon one, at least.
Want a round hair brush and blow dryer all in one? Now you can have the best of both worlds with this 2-in-1 hair styling tool thatll give you a bouncy and polished blow out. Gloss your hair with this all in one brush dryer with adjustable heat settings.
You know that feeling when you leave the salon? Your hair is perfect, you can run your fingers through it with no snagging, it’s frizz free and shiny?! You know how no matter how hard you try you can never replicate that at home (okay, maybe YOU can, but I am a klutzy mess trying to handle a brush and a blow dryer at the same time)? THIS IS THE SOLUTION! My hair has literally never ever EVER felt and looked better after blow drying and this dryer brush has truly changed the game for me.
I have very long, thick hair that holds onto water for seemingly forever and while I didn’t time myself drying it, it certainly is saving me tooooons of time now that I don’t have to both dry and style it.
This does both! There wasn’t really any learning curve – it’s so easy to use. It did surprise me how large it is, but it’s not heavy or a burden for my wrists when trying to hold it up. I will be singing the praises of this hair tool forever.
The Bombshell Blowout Thermal Brush creates that “just blown-out” look without a blow dryer or hot air in half the time. It features a thermal ceramic barrel which emits far-infrared heat, preserving moisture for healthy-looking, hydrated hair.
The ionic generator increases negative ion output, resulting in shiny, smooth, frizz-free results and zero static. It is suitable for all hair types and textures, has a heat resistant handle, and nine-foot 360° swivel—ensuring comfortable, easy styling.
Use on dry hair to add volume, bounce, and polish. The Bombshell Brush is not intended for use on wet, damp, or partially dry hair—it must be used on fully dried hair.
O M G! I cannot afford to keep up with influencers however this AMIKA brush is amazing! I have thick, curly, frizzy, and wavy hair. In order to straighten it I have to blowdry it with a round brush blow-drier, then spend at least 20-30 minutes sweating (and I mean sweating!) in my bathroom to flatten my hair.
Sometimes I can get the roots and sometimes I’m just too hot and tired to do them, so my hair sometimes will have a slight ridge. I bought this Amika brush/iron after seeing an influencer’s video, it just arrived and my hair looked like a lion’s mane! When I used the Amika tool, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to use and how quickly it heats up.
My hair looks like I just stepped out of the salon! The influencer was right, it does give you a definite blowout look and makes your hair so smooth without frying the heck out of it! I went to ask my son something after I straightened my hair and he asked me when I went to the salon! LOL, he knows the struggles I go through with my hair, and for him to notice that says a lot! Thanks to the influencer for the great recommendation, I would have never known about this great product.
This literally is the best $100 I spent! I purchased it from QVC on flex pay!.
This product could easily be the best product I’ve ever used. but it’s not. Being a cosmetologist, I know a bit about hair and what to do with it. I purchased this product for myself at a State Beauty Supply which is a store for professional stylists.
I have fine, above the shoulders hair and was so excited to try this product! It ALMOST is great. But just simply falls short. It has quite a flimsy little on and off switch. The bristles are too few and they are also just a little too short.
Because of this, the product does not grab the hair and hold it like a round brush does. The whole point in using this product over the option of a styling wand is because it’s supposed to grip the hair and be movable/twistable to give a blow out appearance.
However the bristles are cheap, short, and sparse. making it essentially a wand. Worst of all, I’m not being permitted to exchange or return it due to having used it 2 times. which I obviously had to to in order to realize it is a let down of a very expensive tool.
I can’t believe how cheaply this product is made compared to the price tag. If I’d bought it at a discount store for $20 I’d have still thought it was kind of a waste of money, but would at least be less salty about it.
Problems: -Sad bristles (see photo) The bristles have absolutely no density to them. Some of the giant holes in the barrel only have one or two bristles in them, and it’s not enough to properly grab your hair to hold it against the barrel.
My hair is fine and this won’t grab it at all. -Uneven heating The barrel is cheap metal and definitely has hot spots. If you actually could get the brush to grab your hair, I’m afraid it would burn it.
-Sad cord (see photo) The cord on this is disappointing. It feels like a cheap lamp cord from the 50’s. Very thin. This is always worrisome on hair tools since they tend to draw a lot of current, but also because they tend to break internally when they kink and cause the whole thing to fail.
That is, if it worked in the first place. Also it has a swivel, but the swivel is poorly designed so unless you’re holding the brush at a specific angle it won’t twirl. I included a photo of a cord on a curling iron I bought at the same price point for comparison.
-Overall poor quality So let’s say this buddy worked and didn’t singe your hair off or melt its own cord in the process. It still feels. So. Cheap. I recently ordered some hair products and got a free beachwaver as a GWP and it feels leagues more well-made than this does.
When I say cheap I mean that I’m afraid when I slide the button that it’s just going to fall off, or that if the unit rolled off my counter that it would shatter. So, overall extremely disappointed. I’m honestly never going to buy another Amika tool after this as I just can’t trust I’ll receive a product worth the price.
I have been using Calista’s blow/style dryer for years, and love it, but I needed something that would blow dry my hair faster due to severe shoulder arthritus, which causes upper arm pain, as well. Upon ordering it, I was a little concerned about the size of dryer, as I also have arthritus in my thumbs, so grasping things at times can be difficult.
When I received and used the dryer/styler, I was AMAZED, ECSTATIC, and RELIEVED that I was able to dry and style my shoulder length hair in five minutes! My hair is similar to a long shag with many layers, so with my shorter, layered hair on top, I was still able to dry and style it with the Bed Head dryer, and what I got all over was a smooth style with lots of volume! I then used the calista smaller brush on top to get more curl, but my drying/styling time was literally cut in half, which helped my shoulders/arms.
I am only able to wash my hair once a week, and fortunately my hair is dryer so it never looks like a once-week washing/styling, but my style held ALL WEEK, and that even amazed me more! The price also blew (pun intended) me away, because at $39.
00 it was a no-brainer to order a second Bed Head Blow OUt Freak, because I never want to be without this amazing product! Honestly, it’s a PHENOMENAL product that is worth trying, and who doesn’t want to spend less time on our hair and more time living!.
This is an amazing hair tool especially for the price. However, please keep in mind that no matter how wonderful and efficient the tool, technique is everything! The difference between a pro stylist with a tool and an amateur with the same tool is the pro’s technique.
Get this home and play around with it a few times. You have to keep rolling the brush through the hair and tug and roll and tug and roll. You have to apply pressure and keep the hair taught as you roll and pass the tool through the hair.
Don’t just pass the brush through the hair like a comb. I have medium coarse hair that’s medium length and I can style it with this in 10 minutes. No frizz and nice volume. Didn’t break a sweat or the bank!!!.
I have shoulder length, wavy hair with some frizz- except when I go to my stylist. When I have a special event, I make an appointment for a blowout. I made the purchase, first because of the sale price and being one piece.
After wash and towel damp, I sectioned my hair and started with the bottom section. It was quicker than a standard blow dryer and brush, smooth, no frizz with lots of bounce. Seriously, consider giving this a try at this great price.
I just canceled a hair appointment for next week- more than the cost of this hot air brush. I can’t believe the results!.
These lux gemstone enables you to smooth out even the thickest frizzy hair. Lightweight: Light and smooth of course! While the heat tech is impressive, the lightweight feel and ergonomically designed handle of the 2in1 Blowout brush is a total show stopped.
I purchased this blow out brush in October 2021. I loved it! I literally had perfect hair in 5 minutes flat and had quit using a straightener. However; come December 2021, the blow dryer stopped blowing warm air completely, and was completely worthless at this point.
I actually contacted Almost Famous who wanted a picture of the engraved logo on the handle on the product. Well mine was obviously a printed logo because it was barely visible at this point. I didn’t bother with filing a claim at this point because this product is apparently a fake.
I have THICK hair and a lot of it. Usually takes 30 minutes or more to blow dry and style, hair dryer plus flat iron or curling iron. Got this a few days ago, finally tried it and O. M. G. it’s amazing.
15 minutes my hair was dry, so so soft and no frizz. Usually the hair dryer brushes get tangled in my hair or the bristles are too hard. This glides through with soft bristles. My hair looks like I just left the salon.
That has never happened at home. It’s my new favorite thing.
I’ve just received this blowout brush. The brush end is significantly larger than it appears in the photos. My hair is almost shoulder length and it’s thin and fine. This dries hair very quickly and makes hair very slick and straight.
I’ll practice with it more, but I think the diameter of the brush is just too large for my puny hair, and that makes it very difficult to hold it in a position that might be able to give my hair volume from the roots.
I think this would work great with longer and/or thicker hair.
A hairdryer and a brush all in one, the StyleDryer lets you blow dry your hair while styling it into a smooth, polished look using either of the two attachments. Includes 1 StyleDryer Pro, 1 Oval Brush Attachment and 1 Styling Brush Attachment.
I was at the end of the line when the hair styling gene was being handed out and have been envious of others who have hair that was obviously not wash and go. Now that I am over a certain age the hair is thinning a bit and I overall require a little more effort before facing the world each day.
I thought this would be the answer. A round or paddle brush and hairdryer all in one nifty appliance! I will say it is made well. The handle is non slip and fits in my hand well. The oval styling head and the flat styling head click onto the end of the nozzle firmly and stay on.
There are heat settings that range from high to low to a cold setting that are adjusted with a ring that turns in the handle. All very convenient, lightweight and attractive. I bought the set for longer hair as my hair is longer than shoulder length.
Well- it dries my hair well without scorching and the combination of plastic fingers and bristles in the styling head leave my hair smooth and without tangles. Which is great! I will be able to dry my hair without the snarls and snags I get from conventional hair dryers and go out into the cold Wisconsin mornings with dry hair.
However, and it is likely my lack of hairstyling gene coming into play here, I can’t do anything in the way of styling my hair. The head is too big to get a nice turned under wave at the bottom of my hair, or do anything with my bangs, or either blend or separate my layers, or do the round brush thing that stylists do when they they give you a bad haircut and do t want you to know it u til the next time you wash your hair.
So the styling part…. ’meh. But it does dry hair well without frying it, is. lightweight, quiet and easy to use. I would recommend it though.

Only put 1 star as I cannot rate this item and star rating was a required field. When I purchased the 3 in 1 dryer I knew I would need a US to NZ plug adaptor, but, unfortunately for me, had no idea that the voltage was incompatible, (US 110v) and so cannot use the tool unless I save for and purchase an expensive transformer that is heavy and cumbersome to boot.
The shipping cost to return the item is half the cost of the dryer, and so it lives in its box and stored away – so disappointed in myself for not knowing that useful bit of information. Am writing the review in case any ignorant overseas buyers are contemplating an electrical purchase from the US.

The Mermade Blow-Dry Brush is truly a revolutionary tool that will blow you away. For a sleek blowdry, start with clean, towel-dried hair and apply a heat-protectant like our Mermade Mist. Step 2. Section hair with our Grip Clips.
Taking one section at a time, starting from the bottom layer, choose the best heat setting for your hair. Step 3. Place the oval brush near the root and brush away from the head while gently rotating.
This will create professional like volume. Repeat for all layers and sections of hair. For more curve, wrap the hair around the barrel and hold for a few seconds. Step 4. Finish with a shot of hair spray.
Tip: You can use the blow-dry brush on dry hair to revive your mane or give it some bounce. Be careful not to touch the scalp with the tool. Make sure to clean out bristles and wipe down the tool after use to avoid product build up.
Safety Allow all heat tools to cool down before stowing away. Heated appliances should only be rested on heat proof surfaces. Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
I bought this when my $300 Drybar hairdryer died after a year of having it. I lost my receipt and even though I purchased it under my Sephora account they weren’t able to find it in their system. This blow dry brush gives decent volume, and with my heat protectant, gives me a sleek look every time.
The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because no matter how hard I try, I can’t really get it to style like the pictures online/on the box. It could just be my hair type. Idk. But great product ☺️.
