The Steadyrack MTB Rack is a revolutionary bicycle storage rack. The MTB Rack is designed specifically for bikes with larger tires like mountain bikes and electric bikes. It can be mounted to virtually any wall and its patented design allows it to swivel almost 180 degrees to either side.
This allows the Steadyrack bike rack to fold flat when empty, helping to conserve space. It accommodates most models with tires from 1. 95 inch up to 2. 8 inch wide and supports the storage of multiple units at least 14 inch apart.
This vertical bike rack is engineered to last and built to the highest quality standards. It is the perfect rack for storing bikes in garages, apartments or at the office. There’s also no need to lift your bike when placing it in the holder.
We have 8 bikes (and growing) including MTB, road, gravel, hybrid and Ebikes. We have tried several different of Bike storage products over the years – both floor and wall mounted and still ended up with a cluttered garage with no space to access anything else.
I decided to try one last solution and buy the steadyrack fat bike version for our 2 MTBs. Instantly the garage had some space again. I then bought the standard version for our Hydrids and the fender version for the road bikes with mudguards.
Now all 8 bikes are on the walls. The great thing about the steadyrack is that provided you have 30 cm of wall space you can fit in a bike. It doesn’t matter if the handlebars are 750mm wide – the bike still doesn’t get in the way because the bikes can be swung out of the way effortlessly with just 1 finger.
Getting the bikes on and off the rack is a breeze – it takes a few practice attempts – but if the wife can rack/unrack her 30Kg trekking Ebike then trust me anyone can handle any bike. The racks aren’t cheap and most people will need a few – if you are unsure, just buy one and try it and then buy more as funds permit.
Fantastic product, easily holds my e-bike (25kg) and make storage easy. The frame it well made and the swing action is perfectly balanced between easy swing away but also enough frictin to remain in place while loading and unloading.
The only improvement I would suggest is to make the top and botttom bolt covers a bit easier to remove after fitment. I had to relocate mine and ended up breaking off two of the plastic tabs trying to remove the cover.
Not a big deal, the covers still stay in place and the tabs can’t be seen.
We had a couple of ‘gravity’ racks that sat up against the wall – they were impossible for the kids to reach the top bikes, so there were always a couple in the way in the garage. The SteadyRack makes it possible for the littles to now get their bikes down and then independantly re-rack them at the end of use.
They are actually excited to be able to put them away, because the process is fun, and we all appreciate how they now have a dedicated home on the wall. Although the are designed to bolt directly to the wall studs, the placement would not accommodate for the spacing we needed.
Found a way to leverage some ‘Gear Rack’ from a blue-box-store, and using 5/8x18x1″ elevator bolts with a washer on them to take up the slack was able to create an infinitely configurable system. The SteadyRack is an incredibly stable and robust rack system – it has made a significant difference to how our family stores and accesses our bikes and we’ve been able reclaim a significant amount of floor space in the garage.
Great buy, great value! I would not hesitate to purchase these again, and can recommend them 10 out of 10!.

The rack folds up for compact and easy storage. The rack comes with a built-in anti-wobble hitch device. Locking hitch pin and security cable are available sold separately.
The easiest way of cycling With the Thule ProRide 598 you can simply take your bike on the roof of the car. At least, if your bike is not heavier than 20 kilograms. This means that almost every road bike and mountain bike can participate.
This is ideal if, for example, you want to cycle in the forest or on the beach in the morning – at least a short drive from your house. All that has to be done is to place the bike in the gutter of the Thule ProRide 598.
The Thule dial lets the user know when the bike is properly secured. With this bike carrier the wheels are fixed (max. 3 inches wide) and the frame. The latter is done by means of a frame clamp. It has rubber surfaces that do not damage the frame, but can be firmly fixed.
Please note that it only concerns the bike carrier and therefore not the roof racks on the roof of the car.
Bought 4 of these – for two adult and two child MTBs. First time I installed / set up, was a bit complicated and took a fair bit of adjustment – I had two bikes facing forwards & two backwards so the handlebars weren’t clashing.
I had to slide the roof bars/wheel trays around a bit/move bikes forward/back so the straps that hold the wheels in place could pass through their clips (instead of being prevented from going through as the bar was in the way).
But after that, went okay. After 2 x 4hr+ motorway journeys, bikes stayed secure. Also fairly easy to remove. Racks seem well made, not too heavy, look nice & fold down easily once the bikes are off.
If I had only bought one or two, would have been much easier to fit. No regrets on the actual product, and happy to recommend.
Purchased these as a car change means I have no tow bar for existing bike rack and these 598 go along with my existing Thule Aero Wing bars we have. Went for this type rather than the other types as they have a “v” clamp which encloses fully around bike frame.
First time using – easy assembly of clamp fittings – easily slid onto roof Wing bars and easy to “hook” the bike onto V before turning knob to secure V clamp and then securing wheels with straps. All secured nicely.
(I added a short cam strap over front wheel and would probably use a Velcro strap around V fitting for peace of mind). Easy to use with Wing roof bars, easy to place bike onto V (we have a Ford Galaxy so roof quite high but a wee folding step helps a lot) and easily secured using turn knob.
I’d initially bought a cheaper bicycle carrier in order to save money, but it didn’t fit on my roof bars, so I had to spend (quite a bit) more to get this version and I’m so glad I did. The carrier installs to the Thule aero bars with t-track by default, but you can buy adapters to fit other types of roof bars, which would be worth it in my view.
I didn’t need to add I already had the Thule wing bars. The rack fitted very easily and immediately felt secure. There are two identical keys included to lock the carrier to the roof bars and to lock your bike to the carrier when it’s loaded up.
The support bar that hold the bike in place is very sturdy and also simple to clamp to the bike frame with a ratchet wheel. Then you lock the ratchet wheel to keep your bike safe. To release, you unlock and press a release button and the clamp opens – very simple.
The wheels are strapped down with reasonably broad straps (zip tie style). I had no issues driving at motorway speeds and knew the carrier would be fine once the bike was loaded. Great purchase and I highly recommend.
This model the Thule 598 was marginally cheaper than its predecessor – the 591 – in the store I bought it from, but features significant enough improvements over the 591 to make it worth paying a bit extra if need be.
Super secure. Super simple. SuperClamp. The Saris Freedom SuperClamp 4-bike hitch rack makes transporting your bikes a snap. Their industry-first front and rear wheel hooks completely eliminate frame contact to keep your pride and joy in pristine condition while at the same time providing the most secure hold of any tray-style rack out there.
The arms ratchet into place to simplify loading and unloading and work with any bike up to a 47 wheelbase. There’s a two-pronged security feature comprised of rack-integrated cable locks plus a locking pin in the hitch to protect both the bikes and rack while access to the rear of the vehicle is readily available via the rack’s tilting feature.
The top of the range full size bike carrier with great flexibility and loading capacity Detachable frame holders with Thule AcuTight torque limiter knobs that “click” when optimal torque is reached. Loading capacity 25 kg per bike, enabling transport of lighter E-bikes/Pedelecs.
Increase load capacity by one bike by adding Thule Bike Adapter 928-1. Large distance between wheel holders enabling transport of sturdy bikes with large wheel bases. Wide tilt angle allows opening of even very large rear doors – even with bikes mounted.
Smart foot pedal tilt for easy trunk access even with bikes mounted. Adjustable one hand coupling with low closing force for easy mounting of carrier. Pump buckles with long wheel straps for easy fastening of wheels.
Carrier lockable on tow bar and all bike positions lockable to carrier (locks included).

Has transformed mounting the bikes on the car from half an hour of messing about with straps with the cheap kind of rack that hooks onto the tailgate into five minutes. And no concerns that anything will work loose.
Simple to mount on towing ball, and once on, it is rock solid. Lots of little practical details well thought out, like clips to hold the numberplate. Lights just plugged in and worked first time. Tip-back mechanism to allow you to get in the tailgate when it’s loaded easy to use.
Sturdy and practical. Not cheap, but a pleasure to use, and a good investment since looks as though it will last for many years.
I’ve had a few different bike carriers over the years and this one is really good. It’s rock solid on my towbar and easy to use even with unusual sized bikes. Only down sides are that it’s failry heavy and bulky and you need a fair bit of strength to engage the latching handle.
I know there are more expensive Thule ones that do fold up quite small but you’ve got to draw the lines somewhere right? This carrier comes with 13 pin electrics and a neat way of clipping in the number plate without screws or sticky pads which is a nice touch.
The Halfords number plate I bought was also really nice quality on an aluminium backing. I got a good price for the carrier because Halfords they were running a promotion which gave a nice discount if you also buy any bike so I bought a cheap kids balance bike and gave that to a friend as this worked out cheaper.
I read lots of reviews about this carrier and decided to buy one myself and I’m not disappointed! There’s minimal assembly to do just the bar that the locking arms attach to, a lower trim panel under the towball lock and the number plate to fit.
Speaking of number plate Thule have brilliantly put ‘clips’ to hold it on which are fitted to the plate location like an ‘air fix’ model kit, by which I mean you just break them off the small tabs and then clip into place! It’s easier to do than describe to be honest.
I also used self adhesive pads so the plate is securely attached (I’ve only one vehicle so no need to remove it for multiple vehicles) Takes a few minutes to level up and find the correct tension on the handle to lock but once done it’s sorted for next time.
Tried it out with one E-bike and a normal MTB and the rig is solid and secure and the tilt feature to get to the boot space is a dream! Buy one, you won’t regret it specially at the discount price.

Designed specifically for Aventon’s Aventure fat tire ebike, this classic styling rear rack is perfect to take your adventures to the next level. Haul your essential items on your next trip whether it is to the office or the woods.
The black matte design goes perfectly with the Aventure.
I previously commuted daily 10 miles RT to work on a non-electric cyclocross bike in SLC, but just moved double the distance away. This makes commuting much easier. It’s about 10 miles and 900 feet elevation gain to get to work, and this thing takes it like a champ.
It’s essentially an electric moped. You can get as much of a workout as you want, and I pedal hard to reduce strain on the bike, but I could also get there in the same amount of time without sweating if I wanted to.
With the racks, it carries everything I need and the upright posture with fat tires and front suspension ride like a dream. The cold temperature definitely affects battery range, but I probably wouldn’t have any range anxiety (without charging at work) unless I moved >15 miles away.
It goes great in the snow and ice and I haven’t needed snow tires yet this year. I haven’t taken it on any trails, but it would probably do just fine. However, you’re probably not going to have fun riding this beast on single track with really tight corners.
The lights are ok. Front light is bright, but I’ll need to aim it higher. The rear light gets covered by my panniers, though, so I had to put my own blinky on. Mechanically, it seems well-built, with simple but high quality components (for the price).
The cadence-based PAS is sometimes unpredictable, but you’d probably have to spend a lot more for a mid-motor bike with this much power. So long as you don’t draft behind cars at intersections (which you should never do), it’s not much of a problem.
This is a no-brainer commuter car replacement if you live within 15 miles of work, no matter the climate or road condition. I think the future of commuting is e-bikes like this one.
Nice Rack. once installed seems very secure to the bike. The Aventure is of course Aventon’s Fat Tire so this rack is wider for clearance, giving you a bit more space. If you want or need a rack for this bike get this one built for this bike.
With pre-drilled holes you can bolt a milk crate, basket, small tote or platform to the rack with no problem. I have put Ortlieb panniers from my other bike onto this rack with a little difficulty. The tubing on the Aventure is thicker and slightly oval, so the top clips on the panniers needed a little persuasion to get on and off.
Just keep that in mind if you have panniers with clips already, they may not fit the tubing of this rack.

Easy mounting and adjustment of the carrier before closing the tightening handle thanks to the tow bar couplings initial stability. Easy mounting of bikes through detachable bike arms. Carries bikes with large wheelbases thanks to single action extendable wheel holders.
Easy boot access even with bikes mounted thanks to smart foot pedal tilt. Simple to fold flat and store fits most car boots. Lock your bikes to the bike carrier and your carrier to the tow bar (locks included).
Fulfils the City Crash norm. Pre-assembled, no tools required. Avoid heavy lifting. Simply roll the bike in place into the carrier by using the loading ramp 9152, RRP $95. 00.
With the Thule VeloSpace XT bicycle carrier, you can easily, securely transport 3 bicycles by car. The TÜV-approved carrier is made from light, solid aluminium and durable plastic and can easily be attached to the ball hitch without using any tools.
