Loved this book. Legal suspense, carefully written, awesome plot twists. The thought that went into this is insane!

The Firm is a very good book , a suspense book that keeps you reading on and on. John Grisham is a lawyer with a lot of experience who gives you a glimpse into the lawyers world. He probably writes from his experience in the field.

There are good lawyers and crooked ones as you can see in this compelling book. I definitely recommend it.

Good gripping story. I preferred reading it to the film. Quite fast moving and quite a lot of characters. Grisham is excellent at exposing the underworld of large corporate companies and how they entice people to work for them.

Its great to see good triumph over evil still in this dayand age.

I have read almost all of John Grisham’s books. I am a retired lawyer and enjoy reading about his courtroom jury trials. All of the emotions that the Rogue Lawyer, Sebastian Rudd experiences are the real emotions felt by trial attorneys.

I can vouch for that! As I read about the clients that Sebastian Rudd represented, I become a part of his world; and I’m so glad that I’m retired and don’t have all those worries now. This lawyer has his office in a van, outfitted with all the necessary gadgets for a real law office, and it’s fun to think about doing that with a real van today.

This book deals with the shady underworld of criminal clients, and although not all clients rise to this level of horror, some do, and that makes this book a real page-turner. The book is written along the lines of several vignettes, but each chapter does relate back to the prior story, which makes the book a very easy read.

The only reason I bought two copies of the Rogue Lawyer is because I thought I had lost the one I had, but it was later found. In the meantime I had already ordered the second copy, so I gave it to my sister to read.

However, I have a hardback copy of all of Grisham’s novels and have read all of them. As you know, the only book he has written so far which contains foul language is his first, A Time to Kill. That book called for foul language to make the story realistic, but all of his other works contain no foul language because the story or theme of the book does not call for it.

It seems that some authors cram their books with foul language because think that is what the public likes to read. I never did like that, but I would read through the cursing and swearing in order to stay with the story.

It seems like there is less foul language in some of the books of other authors now. It seem as though more and more people are cleaning up their language, at least in public.

I have read some really good books from this author. This is not one. The character is not likeable. Actually there is no likeable characters in this book except the unfortunate son. The story doesn’t flow.

It is more a book of short stories. Very disappointing. The two best books he wrote in my opinion are The Summons and The testament.

Interesting read considering how we are told this information was given to Aleister Crowley.

James Patterson is a great writer. His books keep you involved until the end. You usually think you know what the outcome will be – but I am never right. Patterson always puts a twist on his stories.

The book gave me hours of entertainment and was well worth the cost.

I’m almost done reading this, since the story isn’t about 1 lawyer, yet, it is kind of disjointed, but maybe in the last pages this will make sense, if it doesn’t tie together. I’m not sure the writing is cohesive.

lst story was pretty good however 2nd story was much better. Not a typical Patterson book.

This book represents the clearest and most concise view of what the law is and should be than anything I have seen before. Frederic Bastiat, a man who was unfamiliar to me before this reading, displays the unique combination of a total understanding of his subject and the ability to explain it in terms that even I understand.

This book should be required reading in every institution of learning in every country and I urge anyone who thinks I exaggerate its importance to read it for themselves.

This excellent translation from Frederic Bastiat’s original French addresses the question. If we cannot trust a person to conduct their own life (providing they don’t violate the lives or property of others) we cannot trust other people to control it.

The Law is one of the best books of all time on freedom and the proper role of government. I read it years ago, but am happy to now have my own hard copy.

Twists and turns every step of the way. A defense lawyer takes on a case of someone he knows is guilty, but everyone deserves a good defense. He comes to find out this person committed a similar crime years earlier in which another man was accused.

He advised this innocent man to plead guilty to a crime he didn’t commit and now has to right the wrong he has done by persuading the innocent man to plead guilty and find a way to make his current client pay for both crimes.

Michael Connelly really sets a fast pace and tells a great story.

The first of the series for Mickey Haler and company. Weaves in his other characters very well. Well researched procedurally and keeps the reader guessing. Made into a movie for tv that is well worth seeing.

After you do, you’ll visualize Matthew McConaughey every time you read one of the series. An excellent character line to go along with Bosch.

One of Connelly’s best. I’m not usually a fan of novels with a legal setting, but his ability to sustain tension and weave a many-layered story with skillfully drawn characters makes for an unputdownable read.

Give it a go- you’ll love it, and want to read all of Connelly’s, most of them with LA detective Harry Bosch, all just as gripping.

I purchased the shoes to wear for two jobs. The first place is when I am called for duty in the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail. They look awesome when worn with my uniform. The only other time that I will have them on is when I am playing my trombone in a concert with the Lancaster Community Band, and that is yet to happen.

I am sure they will look great.

Just the type of shoe I need to go with my tux. Rubber soles will make my entrance quiet and provide me with comfort. If anyone has worn the “tux shoes” they will know that they are all about the “so called look” and not comfortable.

One should not suffer and should buy the LawPro shoes.

I have recently started reading John Grishams novels, and have read quite a few in the past couple of months. This one is my favorite so far. I think its because it shows what one person with a good heart can accomplish in this world.

This another excellent book by John Grisham. Good story, quick read and very enjoyable. Definitely recommended.

As always, a Grisham book keeps you engaged til the last page. His characters are “real” and you want to know what happens to them.
