20 Best Bed In A Box For Stomach Sleepers (2023 Updated)

Having purchased from Purple and Tuft and Needle in the past, I’m used to the memory foam mattress game being internet only and not coming from the old standbys. Well it appears that mattress legend Serta has gotten into this market in a big way.

One thing I was immediately struck by when the mattress was delivered – It’s in a fairly small box and HEAVY. They really manage to compress these things for shipping, and it’s always amusing to watch them return to their intended shape/size after being unboxed.

If you’re new to memory foam mattresses, I suggest you make sure you get a chance to lay on one, your friend’s, at a store, or at an airbnb. If you already know you like firm and supportive, then carry on.

This mattress is well covered in a nicely made textured cover. Similar to most memory foam mattresses there is a dedicated “top” so you can’t flip it in both directions like you could the mattresses of old, but this is probably okay with the gel topper that Serta has introduced here.

The gel topper helps keep this mattress from exhibiting the “heat island” effect that sometimes plagues other memory foam mattresses that absorb and reflect your body heat. One way I like to test a mattress is if I can kneel on it and not feel the bars of my bed supports below, and this one passed the test.

10-inches may not seem like a very deep mattress, but it does account for a fairly lux and firm one in this setting. Sheets are a whole other issue, and definitely do your research, but they are widely available for 10-inch deep mattresses.

I am a convert and will not be going back to traditional spring and woven mattresses.

This is our second Chime mattress, in two separate homes. We love this mattress! Our first mattress in on a platform bed and the second is on box springs. The mattresses at both locations are extremely comfortable.

We bought the first mattress because we had a spiral staircase we needed to get a bed up. It’s compact size in the box was ideal for our situation. The second mattress we drove to our remote home in the mountains, somewhere I would not ask UPS or FedEx to deliver.

So we fit it into our Jeep and drove it ourselves. The convenience, comfort and extremely reasonable cost of the Chime mattress makes it a favorite with us!.

My teen son literally outgrew his classic twin size, he grew over 6 foot. It seemed I tried to make this switch up during bad timing as factories had shortages and especially a twin XL was hard to find.

I called all over and looked everywhere online, with not much luck. The idea of it just being delivered to my home was what kept me looking. The first mattress I ordered was cancelled 2 days before shipping by Walmart.

I then began the search again. I settled on this mattress even though the count of reviews was low, they were all very good ratings. I was a little leery of the word firm within the name, but it is medium firm, just the right amount of firm as others have said.

We anxiously awaited the delivery and it did get delayed by the shipper a couple of days because we live in such a rural area we do not have FedEx shipping on weekends. When it arrived, the box looked good, the vacuum seal mattress was in great shape.

I placed it on his foundation myself, cut the wrapping with scissors and it immediately “inflated: very nicely. No divots or lumps or bumps (as I had seen in other mattress reviews). In short he loved it! (he had been against a bed in a box) By 8:30 that night he was in bed! So far a week out, he still loves it.

I would recommend this mattress.

The bed is perfect but as informed a little firm. A good mattress pad gave the extra cushion desired. Would have bought the pillow top mattress if available. Service was great and very honest. I plan to buy my next mattress here.

Purchased from another retailer. The mattress is firm but hugs your body. It is very comfortable, easy to set up, and very solid. Looked at a lot of mattresses and their reviews and decided on this mattress.

So very glad I did. It is one of the most comfortable mattresses we have ever had. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone wanting a firm, but comfy mattress.

It’s okay, but I think it’s not firm enough for frams that dont require a box spring. We will probably replace this and get a firmer mattress. This is good though.

Very impressed. After reading the reviews wasn’t sure what to expect. It inflated completely without any problems. Glad I checked with Ashley Homestore rep and selected the 8inch as softer vs 10inch as firmer.

The 8 inch is medium and as Goldilocks said “just right”. For a side sleeper comfortable. Happy.

The mattress is the worst mattress I slept on. It feels you are sleeping on top of a rock. The description for the mattress on Walmart. com says the mattress comes with a 10 warranty, this is not true.

I contacted the manufacture and unless you purchased the mattress from them directly the manufacture will not honored any warranty from their mattress sold on Walmart. com. Don’t be fool. Before you buy any mattress on Walmart.

com, check with the manufacture and make sure that whatever warranty Walmart. com says you have the manufacture will honor before you make your purchase.

I love this mattress! It came quickly and the box it came in was in good shape! I made sure to unwrap the mattress within 4 days after receiving it and it took 48 hours to fully expand. It feels great! If it’s too firm, you can just put a mattress foam topper on it.

It feels great and expanded to the correct 8 inches!.

Ordered the mattress on Tuesday and it was delivered on Friday, 3 days later – earlier than expected. We’ve had a waterbed for over 35 years, and our current (2nd) mattress sprung a leak and was very difficult to drain and get out of the house, so we finally decided it was time for something else.

We went with this one since it had the overall best reviews and low price. Heavy, but I got it upstairs and into the waterbed frame by myself. As soon as I cut the plastic it started inflating, and was up to full size in a matter of minutes.

Fits perfectly in our 35+ year old wooden Cal King waterbed frame. It’s a bit firmer than we expected, which isn’t necessarily bad since we’ve been on a waterbed for over 35 years. It’s not as soft as some of the better hotel pillowtop beds I’ve had, but is actually softer than the waterbed, and softer than we expected for a medium-firm mattress, and so far we don’t get the sore spots on our hips, knees and shoulders that we’ve been getting lately from the waterbed.

Also, it totally dampens any motion transfer, so we don’t feel each other moving around or getting in and out of the bed, like we did with the semi-waveless waterbed. Overall, I have to say this was a great choice.

My experience with Keetsa mattress has been better than expected. It started with an easy buying experience. It is an understatement to say it is less complicated and more pleasant than going to a mattress store! The delivery was worryfree and fairly easy to put into place.

And despite not being able to try out the mattress, it was comfort at first recline. I have better nights of sleep thanks to Keetsa.

I bought this Mattress a little over a month ago and have been so happy with it! I was looking for a firm memory foam mattress that doesn’t absorb too much heat as we live in South Florida and it is hot here! I love that I can’t feel when my partner moves or wakes up, there is no sinking towards the middle and it allows your body to sink just the right amount in the pressure areas so that you can sleep comfortably all night.

My husband and I got this mattress about a month ago and I wanted to wait to write a review. When receieved I did just open it and after removing the packaging that was wrapped well. Within 30min of unwrapping the bed was nearly all the way to normal.

One of our kids just graduated from college (finally) and moved back into our house. His bed had our old king sized mattress on it, which had a large depression in it from years of use. Our son had slept on a gel pad mattress in his apartment so the Sweetnight gel mattress made sense for us.

The mattress comes delivered in a big, sturdy cardboard box weighing about 80 pounds. You may want to have two people handy to move it to the bedroom for setup. The mattress is 10 inches deep, which is deep enough to provide a lot of comfort but not so much as to require special deep pocket sheets.

Our standard sheets fit on it without a problem. A nice feature is that because the mattress does not have a pillowtop, it can be flipped to extend its’ lifetime. One side is a firm side and the other is softer, so you have options for all sorts of sleepers.

There is a zipper that allows removal of the cover for easy cleaning. All the seams and stitching seem to be of good quality. Really happy with this mattress so far. My son has said his sleep has improved greatly with the new mattress.

It has also been quite humid, and he has found the gel foam to be quite cool. On a final note he has a lot of allergies and is hyper-sensitive to many things. He has had absolutely no issues with the materials in this mattress.

We originally bought Bed-in-a-box about 12 years ago. Best bed we ever had. Comfortable and supportive. It was the original version with the Silk pillow top. So, it was time to get another mattress and we decided to go with the same folks and bought the Azul.

They did offer one with the Silk pillow top. Supposed to be medium soft, but its too firm for us. We are in our 60’s and have felt back pain / joint stiffness with this mattress every night we slept on it for three weeks.

We had already spent $1200, so the $300+ topper option wasn’t considered. As a last ditch effort, I unzipped the old Silk topper from the old mattress and put it on top the Azul. I can vouch this has saved the day and precluded me from having to send the Azul back.

Not sure why Bed in a Box no longer offers the Silk pillow top. It came attached to the base mattress. Big mistake. Two stars is generous.

Best sleep I’ve had likely in my entire life. I wake up feeling fantastic, well rested, and ready to get on with the day. I’ve slept in some hard places, 22 years on Navy racks aboard destroyers – tossed around in heavy seas – to friends couches or even the floor.

Previous ’Premium’ mattresses with springs never gave me a good rest. I’d get up poorly rested and often sore. This mattress you’ve made is so comfortable I look forward to getting to bed every night.

I bought a full size 12 inch mattress, Dreamland, which is important when considering reading reviews as this mattress comes in 3 different thickness options. I spent hours upon hours trying to get the most bang for my buck, and I think I was successful! Mattress came in an appropriate sized box, was very heavy though so be careful dragging this by yourself even if you’re strong and capable.

I would advise having a helper with you to transport to the bedroom and help with opening. I’m a side sleeper for the most part and was able to use the mattress the first night. And it was a great night of sleep.

I’ve had the mattress for two months now and absolutely no issues. The mattress is not one that you flip but if you are sleeping on it solo I would recommend turning every couple of months. The mattress also has great motion isolation, meaning if you lay down on one side the other side remains unchanged.

Even with excellent, expensive mattresses sometimes I would wake up with some minor stiffness. This is maybe the only mattress I could literally sleep for 15 hours without having any mattress issues; if I have to catch up with lost sleep.

It is soft and medium firm at the same time. I originally bought this to be used for half a year to a year and then use it as a spare, guest bedroom. I might still do this but actually upgrade this to a king since the price of the king is almost identical to the price of a full.

We purchased two of these for our son’s bunk bed. I did a lot of research on mattresses before purchasing these. We wanted something affordable and safe with good reviews. The mattresses are great, they inflated fully including the corners and are very comfortable to lay on.

The only thing for bunk beds is that they are a bit thick for the top bunk. The mattress comes up nearly to the guard rail.

Like many others, I was hesitant to buy a mattress online. I’d never heard of Novilla before, but learned about the brand through a trusted third-party blog. It was far past time to replace my queen sized mattress, and the Novilla price point was almost too good to be true, but I decided to take the chance.

I bought two queen-size Vitality Hybrid mattresses from Novilla. I have to admit I was skeptical at first. It seemed a little too firm for me. I had also bought two Mainstay adjustable frames at the same time.

Thus, I kept struggling with the best sleeping position for a while. Amazingly, after a few weeks had passed, I must admit, this is the best mattress I have ever had, inclusive of two king mattresses, one a high dollar pillow-top Kings Down and the other a high dollar pillow-top Simmons BackCare mattress of which I loved for 10+ years.

This bed is nice and firm (which is the point of getting the hybrid instead of the full foam mattress) but is supposed to be softer than the serenity mattress since its 12 inches instead of 10. I let it inflate the full 3 days and I’m glad I did because I was kinda panicky after 1 day that it still didnt seem as squishy/comfy as I anticipated, but after 3 full days it looked and felt much better.

No bad smell. It got softer the more I slept on it, which is what I wanted. I wanted a firm bed so that as it softened with use and age it would still hold up and offer support! (I had a soft bed before and after several years I just couldn’t get comfortable and started having pretty bad neck pain).

The mattress definitely offers some cooling, I noticed my partner and I didnt sweat like on the previous one. And the best part, a quality sleeping mattress (no lumps nor weirdly hard) for such a good PRICE.

Best bed-in-a-box price I saw anywhere, and its *not* too good to be true. I as a poor student needed that price. Also, its firm, but I am a side sleeper so take it with a grain of salt, it definitely doesn’t feel hard.

Have had the Flex Queen mattress for almost 2 months now. My husband, who initiated this mattress purchase, says he finds sleeping on this mattress good for his back. In the past, he suffered waking up with back aches, not now at least.

I have not had any issues with past mattresses owned. I am sleeping fine on this mattress. Since I like to sit on the edge of the side of the mattress to slip on my socks in the morning, I have noticed that the bed edge does dip down a wee bit more than our replaced pillowtop coils mattress.

I am trying to break this habit! In researching, we still wanted the solid structure of lots of coils, so we opted for a combo mattress with the additional comfort of foam. We are both in our early 60’s, 6 feet tall and in the 200 lbs weight range.

I would have liked to buy the larger King size mattress but, we have a very nice Queen size bed headboard and lots of new Queen sheets which we wanted to keep using. Also, our bedroom size justifies the Queen mattress size rather than a King mattress given our matching bedroom set furniture.

With Covid shopping restrictions, we decided on the safety purchase of a boxed, home delivery mattress. Ghostbed advertised a Boxing Day sale price and threw in 2 free Standard sized pillows with the purchase.

However, we are a bit disappointed that the offer wasn’t for Queen size pillows since we bought a Queen mattress from them. Also advertised, was a 10 year plus warranty on the mattress, which was better than any other boxed mattress company.

As of this date, we have not yet used the pillows. We will use the pillows as I opened them up and they feel cool to the touch and will be good in the summer when temperatures warm up considerably. Delivery of the boxed mattress was very quick, just a few days.

Unfortunately, I was not given any email notice of when delivery would take place. I came home after doing some grocery shopping, and the box was on the front steps in full view from the road. Luckily, no one grabbed the box and walked away with my purchase.

The pillows came about two weeks later after a follow-up call had to be made by me that they had not come with the mattress. Overall, we are currently pleased with our Ghostbed Flex queen mattress purchase.

I purchased this bed back in August 2020. Once I receive my mattress and matching boxspring from ghost bad I noticed there was a size difference between the boxspring and mattress and immediately contact the company.

I sent them pictures and videos of the issues. And from there I was given the run around for months. Even though everyone agreed that the The mattress was defective but yet no one wanted to fix the issue.

This should’ve been an easy fix I was within ghost bed Return and exchange policy. I reached out again and told them if they will not solve the issue I will just return the mattress and ask for a refund.

all communication stopped. and every time called After that I was told a supervisor will contact me by email or phone. as of today I have yet to receive that phone call. I did my homework before purchase from this company.

but now realized I think everybody that gave reviews for them We’re given their items for free… I haven’t had a good nights sleep since I bought this mattress also periodically due to the defect of the mattress I have scratches and scars on my legs because of the boxspring.

please look at the pictures and videos that I leave with this review to see what I am talking about… I am now starting research to see what I can do to hold this company liable for this. because like I said as of today July 28, 2021 I have yet to receive an email or a phone call back….

All I want ios for them to either give me my money back or replace the mattress with one that is not defective. And I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I understand everything that’s going on in 2020 and today.

Everything takes time. But I just think this is poor quality and poor service and I would not recommend anybody purchase a mattress from a company.

The Flex seemed to be a very popular choice amongst consumers. I was also looking for a mattress that was made in America. Just like the video, it comes rolled up, vacuum sealed. Set it up where you want it & break the seal.

Behold, your mattress comes to life & takes shape! After a few hours, the moment of truth arrived. After laying down, I was very pleased. The top part, which is memory foam, is like sleeping on a cloud.

I’ve had the Flex for almost a month now and I have no complaints. I’m a back & side sleeper and this is the right mattress for me. I highly recommend it!.

Way better than my Tempur at half the price! Very high quality and very comfortable. Sleeps nice and cool.

I had been sleeping on a popular memory foam bed-in-a-box mattress for the last four years. I slept well for the first few years, but more recently waking up with a sore neck and back had become such a normal part of my day that I had assumed it was just a part of aging.

It was not unusual for plans to sleep in on weekends to be thwarted by the nagging back pain telling me it was time to move. I was nervous about the Perfect Sleeper Cobalt Coast mattress when my back pain seemed worse the first 3-4 days.

However, after those initial days needed to adjust, I have been sleeping wonderfully! I am typically waking up with no back pain (caveat below), and I have noticed that I’ve been sleeping much more restfully as well.

The Perfect Sleeper is firmer than my last mattress, but the gel foam layer still provides a comfortable surface. The only caveat to the pain-free sleep I’ve experienced is when I sleep on my side. I’ve been trying to train myself to sleep on my back more, but I’ve been a side sleeper for decades.

Due to the firmness of this mattress, I do experience pain at the pressure point of whichever shoulder I am sleeping on. This also occurred to some extent with my old mattress, so maybe it’s just me! I did find a solution using two staggered pillows that really eliminates most of the problem, but if you are a side-sleeper like me you may want to go for one of the more plush models.

Also, kudos to Serta for adding nice, sturdy handles on the sides of the mattress for ease of moving!.

I ordered the renewed night pillow top, which on the website when I ordered, only came in firm. I am honestly not sure what distinguishes plush from firm in serta mattresses. I certainly understand that renewed night, renewed sleep, and luminous sleep models come with different layers of memory foam.

But why some ar eat and other firms, I am not sure. I have had the mattress for 30 days so far, but I am not sure if I will keep it. I sleep in all positions, and need a mattress that can do it all. This mattress seems best for back sleepers.

For me though, sleeping on back is not a good position, despite that I roll on to my back to sleep frequently. Sleeping in my back (on almost any mattress I have tried) causes me low back pain. That said, this mattress performs better than many others when I sleep on my back as compared to other mattresses I have tried in this price range.

On my side, it’s a different story. This mattress doesn’t seem to alleviate enough of the pressure I feel when I sleep on my side. So I may need to return this and try a cushier mattress. I do worry that the gel memory foam is going lose it’s shape and because permanently sunk in where I sleep the most.

Hard to know after just 30 days.

With having body aches, and not getting the sleep we needed, we set out to find a mattress that would give us comfort, and the sleep we need. This mattress is thick, 16 inches, normal queen sheets fit about half the way down the mattress, resulting in us using sheet holders for the corners.

The mattress is very durable and well made, no worries about it coming apart. The mattress is plush making it extremely comfortable to the touch, as well as sleeping on it with so much comfort. With the cooling technology we no longer sleep as hot as we did on our previous mattress, this truly does make a huge difference in how well we sleep at night.

The support that this mattress gives our body, is like a glove that hugs our body keeping us comfortable, and sleeping amazing. This pillow top plush mattress is firm but not too firm, it feels soft when pushing on it, but when laying on it, the amount of comfort is astounding as it supports our body without making us sink into the mattress.

This mattress is made eco friendly without any harsh chemicals, or elements, we love that! The great nights rest we have been receiving, and no longer waking up with aches and pains is enough for us to give this mattress a full star rating.
