20 Best Bathing Suit For Big Stomach And Thighs (2023 Updated)

I typically wear a size 6 in La Blanca one-piece suits, but this style is tight on my thighs, butt, and lower back. While I know they stretch out in water, and over time, I’m not sure about this one on me.

I’m 5’5”, 134, 36x28x39 (34D) and have a shorter torso and longer inseam for my height. There’s less support over the lower stomach compared to some of the shirred styles. It’s comfortable and secure and I would pick this for playing in the ocean with my kids or body boarding.

If I want to feel my best, I tend to pass this one over for one of my Trina Turk suits that have a more flattering leg opening and cut for my body and doesn’t accentuate back fat. Maybe an 8 would be better but I think that will make the top too big.

The straps on the back take a lot of work to get them to lay properly and requires the help of my husband. I can see the appeal of this suit and I love the color, but it might not be right if you have bigger hips or carry fat on your back above your waistline.

Still undecided. I think I’ll try the Island Goddess Twist to compare (the Island Goddess Lingerie fits me perfectly in a 6 but makes me look like I have a flat chest).

I ordered this for a beach vacation. It arrived in time to try it on and pack it. When I tried it on, I was surprised at the flimsy feel of the breast padding and how it completely twisted in the process of pulling the suit on.

I had to do a bit of work to rearrange it but decided that was manageable. I decided to wear this suit the first day on out! I’m so glad this was a day we decided to stay on the resort and at the pool.

I felt a strap pulling loose as I left my room. I couldn’t believe it. The suit wasn’t too small – too the contrary it was slight loose in the bottom and I have a shorter torso so there should not have been any undue pressure on the straps! I was going to go back in and change but my boyfriend who had patiently straightened the straps for me when I put the suit on said, “Really? Nothing is going to fall out even if it completely breaks.

You have five more straps. ” We laughed. Well by the we returned that afternoon I only had four straps intact. One wear and two out of six straps tear away? Clearly they were not stitched very well! I expected so much more! I am going back to my local Nordstrom store with this worthless suit tomorrow.

This is too much money for a one wear swimsuit. A suit a purchased a couple of years ago at Target and wore for the first time the day after this one fell apart held up just fine… and I paid a fraction of the price for it!.

I am 5’2, weigh 102 lbs and usually wear size 2 or 4. I saw this suit online and loved the colors and the one piece style! I brought it online in size 4. I thought it fit a bit too snug. I went back to order a size 6 thinking maybe the size 6 would fit a bit better, But they were all sold out.

Ten days later I looked again and saw that size 6 was now available. So I ordered it to compare with the size 4. When I received it, I tried it on. I could barely get my legs into this size 6 and the bathing suit barely covered half my upper torso.

Size label said size 6 but it did not even come close to fitting. Maybe the reason why this size 6 came available is that someone else returned it due to the same problem. Disappointing poor sizing quality control on the part of LaBianca.

I am hopeful that when I return this size 6 to Nordstrom and tell them my reason for the return, they will take it out of circulation or verify its size and put the correct size label on it! I will keep my size 4.

Needed a suit for and upcoming trip to FL. Usually takes many tries to find something that is flattering, fits well and my style. One try and this suit was just right! Love the fit and usually order back, but thought I would try some color.

This is a little bright, but fun and great for vacation.

I received so many compliments on this suit. The raspberry color is more vibrant in person- the picture online doesn’t do it justice. Fits true to size, full coverage bottom and very flattering.

The one shoulder look made me feel instantly glam. I love the color so much. The fabric does a pretty good job of comfortably sucking you in too! I think this suit instantly flatters all body types. I am often insecure in bathing suits, but I feel sexy in this one.

I wanted new bottoms to go with a lonely back top I had and to mix and match with my other suit. I knew these bottoms in a size 4 would be perfect because I have the style in a different colour from a few years back.

But getting them was not easy. Twice they were cancelled from online order attempts. At my local store all I could get was a size 3, which I did try. I normally buy a size 3 in Torrid undies but I wasn’t comfortable in that size for the swim bottoms.

The size 4 gives me more comfortable butt coverage and stays put when I move. I even tried a different pattern, thinking I was probably out of luck getting my hands on these this season. But third time was a charm, they just arrived in my recent order and I couldn’t be happier.

If you’re looking for swim bottoms, these are the ones! Perfect coverage and the high waist is very flattering.

These bikini bottoms are adorable & they pair with any bikini top beautifully! The caged back is soooo incredible cute & for me it hit perfectly without showing anything it shouldn’t. I can see the cage being a bit of a problem if u have a shorter trunk tho because the cage could end up hitting ur backside a little lower than u’d like & showing a bit of bottom cleavage, which may or may not be something ur into.

I however am not a fan of that, so I’m super thankful they fit me perfectly! The material is awesome & they’re super comfy & I’ve not had any problem with them riding up. These are everything u want in a super cute bikini bottom! LOVE ‘EM!!!.

I ordered these online in two (2) different sizes. I carry my weight and shape in my rear end, so, depending on the material, cut, etc. I can either be a size 0 or size 1. BOTH sizes fit well, but I ultimately chose the size 0 because swim suits have a tendency to stretch out when exposed to chlorine in swimming pools.

The smaller size also gave a bit more “tummy control” without creasing into my stomach and waist. The crisscross “laces” on the back gives this a youthful look, but also appropriate coverage – this doesn’t creep down while walking or bending – stays in place (no plumber’s crack, here!).

I love the simple style of this suit, and you can’t go wrong with black. But the ribbed fabric doesn’t perform the same way that normal swimsuit fabric does! When I first put it on, it is just a looser fit than I would have liked.

And while the booty coverage is good, being made of this fabric, it slips easily on the the ole cheeks (and it’s not bc I have a juicy booty!). Once the suit is wet, it clings like crazy to the skin = all flaws on display, and it loosens more, so expect to have to retie the back to make it fit tighter.

I have another Aerie suit I bought 2 years ago that is made of regular suit fabric and I LOVE IT. This one failed to hit the same mark with me, although I’ll still wear it bc I do think it’s cute. I just wish they had used regular swimsuit fabric on this one.

I have been buying krinkle suits for over fifteen years. The suits have been durable and saw me through many years of three times a week classes. I love they are completely lined and that the lining wore out before the suit itself.

I recently purchased a new suit and noticed a big difference in the quality of the new Krinkle fabric. The weave is very different And I hope it will hold up as well as those long lasting suits of the past.

I have 5 of these in different colors and 2 different sizes. There is definitely a difference in quality from the first one I bought to the more recent purchases. The fabric seems slightly thinner and the krinkle is not as tightly knit.

The sizing is not exactly consistent. The tops seem more stretchy in the straps so they do not hold as firmly. I do not think they should cost over $70 plus shipping anymore.

This is my third Krinkle swimsuit and I have been pleased with them and how they fit. However the right leg of this suit does not fit as well as the other suits. It keeps riding up as if it has not been measured right.

I usually love the suits because they are modest and I don’t have to tug at them to stay down and cover my bottom. This one is a disappointment! I love the color, just wish that it fit like my other suits do.

I do wish you offered more long torso choices.

I own at least 6 LaBlanca swimsuits because of fit, style, and quality. I am 5’5”, 127 pounds, 34B. I usually buy LaBlanca two-piece top in size 4 and bottom in size 6. I decided to buy this one-piece because the style and pattern are very attractive and I felt I could use a suit with more coverage than my bikinis for days when I need more coverage from sun or when the air is cooler.

I ordered the 4 and the 6 not knowing what fit would work. I kept the size 4 because the top of the suit fit better than the 6 without compromising bum coverage or swimsuit length. This suit looks great with a flowing, long pants coverup.

I found the fabric stretchy and roomy, very comfortable. I want this suit in the new hot coral, but sadly it is sold out in size 4…I am on the waitlist which I found works well to finally deliver on out of stock items.

This was my 3rd suit I ordered this season, returned the other 2. I found a winner! I ordered Indigo color, so beautiful! It is also sliming color, without being a typical black suit. The cut and ruffle are very flattering.

I haven’t worn it in the pool yet, I’m not sure how the top will hold up, without the straps. I feel it could have a bit more support for a double D size. Such as, another elastic band underneath bust.

Other than that seems like it will work well. Again, it is beautiful and well made.

I gained some weight, so I don’t expect my suits from 2015 to work. I bought this suit thinking it’s cute and colorful. I ordered the 22W and did not find that it was flattering for me. I read another review of the lady who is 5″10 and 270 pounds and bought an 18.

I am 5’6 “so perhaps I needed a smaller suit. Honestly, I just think there is too much fabric to be flattering for me. If I could find it in a store where I could try on multiple sizes, I may find something that works.

But, at this point, I’m just going to return it and stick with the bikini and tankini that worked.

I’m between a 10-12. Curvy/32H. Ordered a 12 and it’s perfect. Many years ago I bought the first version of this swimsuit by BLEU (2016 or 17?) completely wore it out and had to throw it away this past summer.

Purchased again after seeing it on the mom edit … looks amazing on and is the perfect blend of sexy. I will wear as a swimsuit and body suit – The bamboo/wood with black gives Gucci vibes.

I’m 5’5 and 150 lbs, 36c/31/36, I wear my weight around my waist. size 10 is perfect, no loose fabric anywhere. Got it for a nice price and my first time wearing this brand. Hopefully it lasts long (Becca’s, La Blanca etc).

Less than 1 star for smooshing my chest a little but the bamboo accents are really pretty (definitely hand wash to preserve), and the blue is nice and muted.

This is a fantastic suit. Fits perfectly. I usually wear 1 pieces but with the COVID 20lbs I opted for a 1 piece. You totally feel sexy in this suit. Adjustable straps are great…. The size is exact as well.

I usually get 1 size up from my normal clothes (6). Got and 8, I am a 36 DDD and curvy and nothing is falling out.

This swimsuit has a beautiful subtle blue pattern and has a double support system. There is a bandeau tie that goes around the back AND a removable halter strap. If you have a bit extra on top (I’m a 36C), this suit provides great coverage and support w/o being bulky or obvious.

The mid-section comfortably hugs the tummy, and the leg is just high enough to be flattering. It also runs true to size. It’s not too long in the torso (I’m short at 5’2″) nor does it have too much material throughout.

The price was reasonable for a name brand, so I didn’t have to second-guess myself with this purchase. It remains to be seen how it wears over the summer as I have a house at the shore and LIVE in swimsuits 4 months out of the year.

It is passes THAT test, I’ll be buying another! One last thing–I’m not big on “advertising” for any name brand, but the bar in between the cups is so unassuming that you really have to look to see that it has the Calvin Klein name on it.

I am a Calvin Klein addict. I have ten I have purchased this year and six more on the way. The colors are so vibrant and it is obvious how well made they are. They fit my 120 pound petite body perfectly and look so great on me.

I have bought new and used ones assured they will all meet my expectations and standards. I would recommend Calvin Klein to my friends. I have several styles and hope to eventually have at least one of each color – that is my fun goal.

I love the fit and colors and had several compliments on it. The pattern and colors are very pretty. The only comment I have is that there are several semi-abstract cats in the print. I bought a size too small and exchanged it for a size larger.

I ended up with a credit and ordered the next size up. I wore the 2nd suit to a pool party. My cousin (who loves cats) freaked out and she straight out asked me if there was a cat on my boob! She was so excited that there were cats on my suit.

I looked down and sure enough, there is a cat body and head part of the pattern on my boob! See photo of the Lavender/Pink color cat below. I compared the 2 suits and the placement of the cats on the first suit is definitely more noticeable than it is on the 2nd one.

They’re an Orange color, so I think they’re more noticeable. See other photos. I guess I was so preoccupied with the fit of the first suit being a bit tight that I didn’t realize there were cats on the print! I can’t complain because I feel great in it and I can move the fabric some so you can’t really see the face.

Bottom line, if you really hate cats, don’t get the suit!.

This swimsuit is high quality, a good price and super flattering! It’s always hard to find a suit I feel comfortable but also stylish in that’s somewhat conservative! This one meets all those needs. The ruffle detail is flattering and feminine.

The gathered material on the stomach area helps to disguise my tummy. The back is super flattering as well and very cute detail. All around I would buy this over and over again! For size reference I am 5’3” and 126lbs and got a medium.

Honestly; such a flattering swimsuit top and the material feels great. I wanted to love it so badly! However, unfortunately after wearing it ONLY once the metal ends of the top (on the back tie) fell off.

The paint on the metal also chipped off as well. I am incredibly disappointed in quality of the top. Now the swimsuit top looks extremely cheap:(.

This top was part of my first Blackbough purchase and it is one of my favorite bikinis ever. The top is completely adjustable and there are endless ways to style it. I’m also obsessed with the color — such a flattering neutral! I’m in between M and L, but I went with M and it is fine because it’s so adjustable.

If you want more coverage, go with L.

I’m 45 and um, well, have never really owned an actual swimsuit. I’m extremely self-conscious but I have kids who live to go to the pool. I finally decided to purchase a real swimsuit. The colorful pattern helps minimize certain areas, I get lots of compliments on it, and it uses quality fabric so it is snug where it should be and fits fairly well.

I will say – that the thin elastic that lines the top part of the suit and runs underneath the strapless side always flips over and it drives me nuts. I wish there was a way to make that a solid 1-2 inches to keep it in stationary position.

I find I need to adjust that flipover a lot and it is annoying. Other reviews mention a saggy bottom – After 10 wears, I did notice this – but I’ve noticed that you need to adjust the suit from the bottom up to sort of shift the fabric to its natural state (if that makes sense).

When I do that (like after using the bathroom), the suit returns to normal fit.

Elegant suit. Fits me even though I usually need a suit for long torso. Sales person suggested I try it on and it fit beautifully. This tells me that I can now try on this brand again to see if their other suits fit me.

I’m so pleased. The white part across the chest is floppy, however, and should be stitched down somehow, That would make it perfect.

This is the perfect triangle top. I love that it does not have padding so its super comfy. You can tie it many different ways so the versatility allows me to wear it all the time! The caribbean print is so adorable and I definitely need more of the martini tops in different prints!.

The colors look fine, just black and white. I put it on and immediately look washed out. I don’t usually have that problem. I got stuck keeping this, would not let me return since clearance. What am I supposed to do with this swimsuit now? I will no longer buy their clearance online as they will not let you return.

This bandeau swimsuit gives me youthful support and good looks. It is so appropriate for the beach with its tropical-look but not being too busy with bright-colors and objects. The suit has comfort and style and feels great on.

The material feels like satin and I enjoy having it on.
