Full leather upper with reinforced eyelets. Durable, strong and stable shoe with perfect balance fit. New and improved supreme taps with superior acoustical sound. Pro balance rubber pad attached under the ball of the foot for a non-slip sole on tap surfaces.
Always trusting in the Bloch brand, I placed this shoe on my studio’s Dress Code List as an option for students taking Basic, Beg/Int. and Int. level tap classes. The students and parents alike loved the look, durability and price of this shoe.
Students immediately remarked on the comfort of the soft and relatively plush inside lining as well as how the shoe melded to their feet within just a few classes. Additionally, they all loved the tone and full sound created by the metal taps.
Parents of growing students (ages 10-13) were happy with the supple leather that allowed them to wear the same shoe as their feet grew up to a full size larger. Overall, the Bloch ‘Audeo’ Tap Shoes are a great, high quality and affordable option – especially for dancers with some tap training.
The one major issue with this shoe is the sizing. problem I found early on, however, was finding the correct sizing. This shoe runs small. My first student to order these shoes ended up trying 3 more sizes and widths before finding the size that fit correctly.
Every pair of these shoes ordered by my students ended up being one full size to 1-1/2 sizes larger than their street shoe size and contrary to the ‘suggested fitting. ‘.
These tap shoes are great for anyone changing from full sole to split sole. The sound quality is excellent and the shoe fits comfortably around the heel and toe. With my other tap shoes I used to get blisters but with this tap shoe I have found that the design of the heel helps against friction.
However, if you are a tap dancer that goes up on your toes a lot I would recommend being careful because the leather on the toes tends to wear away over time. I have had mine for about a year and I am getting new ones because the leather has worn away and the color on the toes has faded.
With my other tap shoes they last around a year and a half however I have found that these dont last quite as long for some reason. I would highly reccomend these shoes for intermediate or advanced tap dancers who are looking for tap shoes that last around a year.
These tap shoes run big and I would reccomend getting a smaller size because split soles tend to stretch out over time.
This shoe is very roomy. I am a 6. 5 with a wider foot, and I lace these all of the way shut. I ordered this in the same size as my TapFlex shoes; 7, and they fit pretty good. I may have been able to go a 1/2 size down, but the 7 is not at all too big.
The size suggestion says order 1 whole size up. I don’t recommend that at all. I recommend 1/2 size if you have a wider foot, and perhaps same as street if you are medium width or narrow. Narrow feet should perhaps avoid this shoe altogether! The shoe is not split sole, but has a very flexible demi-pointe.
This is good for pirouettes and maybe pullbacks, but that is all. It is terrible for toe stands. I’m surprised I haven’t seen a single review stating this. I can do a toe stand in pretty much any shoe, and every tap shoe I’ve ever had, but I can only barely do them in these.
The problem is that unless you have a very strong foot you can’t get completely onto the tip of this shoe, because no matter how hard you try you can’t keep the shoe straight enough, since it bends very easily right behind the front tap.
Gravity and this shoe are working against you. I can do a sort-of toe stand on the back edge of the shoe for a little bit, pointing my feet very hard and bending my knees excessively, but forget any other kind of toe work.
I love everything else about the shoe, but I will have to continue the perfect tap shoe hunt, and save these for teaching.
Begin with street shoe size. Step up to the barre in the Lily Ballet Shoe. Features a full sole and a pre-attached elastic strap for a snug fit. The Lily has no drawstring so you can dance for hours on end in the studio without stopping to fix your slippers.
Great ballet shoes for my daughter. But sizing is definitely off a bit. Like one size too small. I know they say ballet shoes should fit like a sock but these were very small for my daughter and very tight.
She complained that they hurt a lot and her toes were completely smooshed in there. My daughter has very very narrow feet and wears a size 13 in shoes. I got her the Medium size in 13 and they were too small.
I then ordered the size 1 also in medium and those were perfect on her. Just like a sock. She was much more comfortable in the size 1 at ballet. So I suggest sizing up 1 whole size for narrow feet and maybe a size and a half or even two sizes up for wider feet.
I wear a size 9-9 1/2 and the size fitter suggested 9M. My shoes arrived two days earlier which was just in time for me to use them in class. They looked really small and when I put them on they were really tight.
This is a particular issue on my left foot which has a slight bunion. I’ve worn them for a couple of classes so now the right foot is fine. For the left, I have to constantly adjust so there’s not so much pressure.
It becomes tighter when I flex so I can’t stretch as much as I know I can and when I point the pressure is relieved. So if you have a bunion, corn, etc. maybe go a little bigger.
Available in Tone on Tone, this shoe is a perfect match. As an economical shoe for stage, tap (taps not included), jazz, polka or high-kick routines. With a man-made upper, a scored leather sole and a leather lift, this shoe is comfortable and durable.
These shoes are truly fabulous! They look like quality leather, have lasted me over a year of constant use, and were very easy to break in. The only downside is that they made my feet look big. Probably that could be remedied with getting the t-strap version, the only difference between the two being that the t-strap heel is 2′, not 1.
5′. ALL of my street shoes are size 9, and I purchased a size 9 wide. Many reviewers say the shoes run small. Really, I think they might run thin. I tried a regular 9 at the store and it sort of fit.
The 9 wide was a little more roomy and didn’t pinch. (I got these shoes at a dance store, but my online review should still be accurate since I have used this same product. ).
The E-Series Oxford jazz shoe deserves a dancing ovation for transcending the test of time. This lace-up, split-sole jazz shoe is a go-to for beginner dancers, as well as seasoned performers. Features a non-slip heel counter, cotton lining and padded insole to keep you moving without any discomfort.
Recommended for all ages and levels. Product Features: Split sole with cotton laces Constructed of soft, durable leather Cotton lining EVA sole patch and heel Non-slip heel counter features an Achilles relief that provides a softer topline Foam padded insole Low sides Leather upper.
I am street size 7 or 7. 5, typically narrow. Ordered 7. 5 M and it fits perfectly with very thin socks or bare feet (or tights I would imagine). These are my first pair of jazz shoes in about 25 years (I teach ballet) but I don’t remember the leather on Capezio shoes being quite so tough.
When I danced jazz back in the 90s, the leather was very soft and contoured to the foot much better. These feel more like the full sole shoes they used to sell. I like that they fit snugly and the rubber sole is not too sticky on my marley floor.
My almost 9 yr old daughter needed to size up, and normally wears a size 3-3. 5 child size shoe (think women’s size 5-5. 5, she wears women’s size 5. 5W in her tap and ballet shoes). I got her a size 7W (she has low arch and wider feet) and they fit beautifully with a little room to spare at the front but not too much that they’re falling off.
Definitely size up about 2 sizes from street shoe size!.
These dance shoes overall are fine, but their sizing is crazy. My daughter wears a size 7 street shoe so based on reviews I ordered a size 8. 5. These are so tiny that they might fit if we removed her toes.
Going to try a 9. 5 next. She’s only 11. What do people with big feet do? I only ordered this brand because her team requires this brand. There is another brand out there that is more consistent with sizing.
Give a stage-worthy performance in the Men’s Standard 1 inch Heel ballroom shoe. Features a shock-absorbing sponge insole and padded Achilles notch for ultimate comfort. will keep you dry while working up a sweat.
These had a lot more wear on them than I expected for ‘2 hours of use’ but the price was low enough to outweigh that. It was also shipped in only the shoe box wrapped in clear tape. It was hard to remove all of it.
After a bit of cleanup and TLC these should work just fine.
Effortlessly nail any dance moves in the comfort and support of the Capezio Dance Lily Ballet Shoe. Featuring a full sole and pre-attached elastic strap for a snug fit, this ballet shoe makes sure you stay focused during rehearsals.
Moreover, the split-sole design eliminates bulk in the arch, provides maximum metatarsal protection, and allows the flattest platform to pivot on. Hammered pleats for smooth floor contact Pre-attached straps Soft canvas lining and suede socklining Suede footbed.
Shut the stage down in the Cadence Tap Shoe. Features a durable leather sole and iconic Capezio Tele Tone toe and heel taps for a deeper resonating sound. The tapered heel and light padding keep you moving to the rhythm without any difficulty.
I only need these shoes because Im required to take a tap class, im not doing any competitive groups or anything. But im not very satisfied with these. The sizing chart recommended I got a shoe 1. 5 sizes smaller than street shoe.
I just recieved these and theyre huge. are they going to last? yes. I do recommend maybe ordering even 2 sizes smaller than street. Also when I opened the package, the actual Capezio box was in such horrible condition.
ripped off pieces of the box had been all over the packaging bag and the shoe box were being held together by a rubber band. Overall, Im slightly disappointed.
The shoes run very large. I typically wear a women’s size 9-ish street shoe, so as per the sizing recommendation I ordered a 7. 5. They were too big for me, and for my sister who wears 9. 5 or 10. I returned them and got a 6.
5, which fits great. (interestingly that’s my pointe shoe size, so if you do both that might be a good starting point for sizing)The thin outer leather was worn off in a couple places on the right heel out of the box.
The damage was minor, but it peels easily so I imagine they will wear out quickly. As for usability I can’t say since I haven’t done tap since I was 7. They are comfortable, although there isn’t much in the way of arch support.
The sizing issue and durability concerns are unfortunate, but given how much less expensive these are than any of the other trusted dance supply brands, I’m not unsatisfied.
I purchased this tap shoe as a replacement for Capezio M60 taps that I wore for a few years. I loved the M60s because of the hardy build underneath the toe and heel plates. They recently broke (as all shoes do if you wear them), but the model for women was discontinued.
I searched for a new shoe that would measure up to the M60 taps I love and be in my poor college kid price range. While I prefer a stronger build underneath the plates, the flexibility of this shoe is definitely interesting.
It takes some getting used to if you have danced in straight oxfords and/or character taps. I will say that you can feel the floor once you have found the nuances to the sound placement of these taps.
I recommend these taps for intermediate-level dancers. Because of their similarity to a point shoe when performing toe stands, a strong ankle is key. Do not purchase these shoes if you/your child performs hoofing style pieces and is not prepared for an ankle workout.
As a dance teacher, I would prefer my beginning students to stick to a straight oxford. If you do purchase this shoe, loosen the toe plates to free up the sound. I also recommend performing ballet barre exercises (plies, ronde de jambes, relevees, etc.
) to break them in. I prefer a tap shoe to fit like a street shoe, so I ordered my street shoe size and the taps run true. If you like a tight fit, you may consider going a half size smaller than your street.
Overall, a good price for the shoe. You are paying for slightly cheaper quality, but I’m definitely a Capezio advocate when it comes to tap shoes. Bravo on a solid, intermediate tap shoe!.
Slightly tapered, feathered toe box. Medium vamp, low sides. Round shape throat. Hand-flattened crown. New pleating with quiet toe construction. Wide, high platform. So Suede lining reduces foot odor, retards mildew rot and fungus growth.
Satin binding with elastic drawstring. Short leather outer sole. #3 Leather board shank, 3/4 skived to zero.
This shoe is too wide and did not fit but if you get the right size I think it would work really good for someone with a greek or european foot someone with long toes. Like my foot is something like a greek and european the toes are long but don’t taper quite as much as in the diagrams you might see online nor is the foot ‘square’.
I would say if you wear a size 9 street shoe to start with that size and do not go too wide. My foot is 9. 5 inches long and this size 10 was too big. So if your foot is like mine start with a 9 or 9.
5 in this shoe. I like the shape of the box, It was different than the SoDanca Toshie and the Capezio Contempora in both the box and how the arch felt. Just get the right size shoe of whatever brand.
I’ve been dancing for 9 years, and these were my fifth pair of pointe shoes and the first pair that I’m buying again. I’ve gone through Mirellas, Gaynors, Bloch, and even other types of Capezio pointe shoes.
And I LOVE the Avas best of all! My feet are average sized but have a really thin heel and a wide front. The tapered heel and the drawstring make it so that these fit me perfectly. I am so happy with them.
They make my feet feel great and I’ve been dancing better than ever. The only downside is that they do die rather quickly. But I’ve noticed this is true with other Capezio shoes, too. I dance on pointe for about 6 hours every week, and they only lasted just under 2 months.
Other shoes I’ve had have lasted for 3 or more. But the fit makes the durability worth it. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend.

Tried these because the previous brand discontinued the model my daughter wore. She tried several different types and these were by far the most comfortable. They stayed put and did not slip. The canvas is a lighter color than many other brands and matched her skin tone perfectly.

These shoes are very comfortable! I’ve been practicing in them for about 3-5 hours in the past couple of weeks and my feet do not hurt or feel fatigued, which is very surprising. I think this is largely due to the extra cushion that Yami had towards the toe/sole area.
Also, being able to tighten the shoe to your desired comfort level is another bonus. Definitely pleased and worth every penny.

These run small. My 7yo wears a 12. 5 shoe so I ordered the child’s large that says 13-1. They are too tight. She has narrow feet also so this was extremely disappointing. Especially since I have to order a new pair, pay shipping on the new ones again and to return the ones too small.
I was required to order these shoes for my daughter’s team. She wears a child 13 or youth 1 and had to order an adult medium. ? They do fit, but she complains of them. rubbing in areas her other shoes didn’t.
Plus the price for some elastic and a patch of leather seems a bit high.
This is a great shoe that my daughter enjoys. She has tried other turners and this is by far her favorite. She wears a size 9 -9 1/2 street shoe and she has to get a 5XL. If you have wide feed I would suggest sizing up.

I bought my first pair of Yami shoes ever. To start, as soon as I ordered, I realized I ordered the wrong heel style. I emailed them and received a text and phone call within hours from Yami herself! She rectified the issue right away and I had my shoes within a week.
While I have to exchange due to size, they definitely put all my shoes to shame in the comfort department, they are quality made, and they are super sexy! I look forward to wearing them! Fantastic product and unparalleled customer support from a small business.
Will definitely be buying all my shoes from Yami from now on! Thanks, Team Yami!!.
I purchased these at a recent festival and got to wear them that night. My feet do hurt after about an hour of wearing heels of any height/quality just because I have some foot issues. That said, these are very supportive and comfortable, especially given the 3.
5 inch heel height! Plus, they are sexy as ****. Love them and can’t wait to wear them again!.
These shoes are not only BEAUTIFUL but incredibly COMFORTABLE as well! I have only worn them out twice now – once for a social and once for a dance class – but they already feel “broken in” and as though they are molded to my feet! Would HIGHLY recommend these shoes to anyone!.

I was hesitant to buy these shoes and looked at them for years before finally buying. The expensive return shipping had me worried that I would regret the purchase. But they didn’t disappoint. They are made from quality materials and I’ve already worn them many times with no sign of wear anywhere.
They are comfortable for heels and I get more compliments than any other pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. My only complaint is that they are a bit too big through the ankle but I have skinny ankles and should have made a note of this when I ordered.
As far as style goes, these are my absolute favorite! I’m also in love with the Nordic blue. super unique. They are also super comfy and fit well. Also, I wasn’t sure what size to go with and was worried because I have wide feet.
I’m normally an 8 but in length but wear an 8. 5-9 sometimes because my feet are pretty wide. I ordered an 8. 5 with a 2 inch heel in Nordic blue because they were one sale. They fit my feed great in width.
It also really helps to have the 2 inch heel with wide feet because the weight is more evenly distributed and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing heels but I looks like it. They’re a tiny bit long in length (again, I’m a true 8 in length) , but I won’t need an insert because the shoes tie to keep them snug.
I probably could have bought an 8 and it would have fit great. My advice for wide feet: order true size if the shoe isn’t fully enclosed around your foot and/or if the heel is 3 inches or greater. For fully enclosed shoes, if you have wide feet, consider ordering half size up and consider getting a 2 inch heel Because your weight will be more evenly distributed and not pushed to the toes.
For anyone with normal to narrow feet, order true to size. The shoes may feel a bit snug the first time you wear them, but leather stretches to form fit to your foot. For someone who has normal width of feet, I bet they’ll feel perfect first time your wear them.
Love these shoes and I also have 4 kinds of shoes from Bali elf and this is probably an accurate review as I bought shoes in 8/8. 5 and 9 depending on if the shoe type. ( I bought them on sale. if your buying brand new you can give your measurements so probably even more accurate sizing).
Beautiful shoes, and really looking forward to having some shoes that will last me a long time:).
These are okay, but certainly not perfect. The color is not as it is in the photo: think bright, royal blue instead of the cool ice blue. All the reviews claim that they’re true to size, but these are definitely at least a half size if not a full size to big for me.
The craftsman ship is also suspect: the rubber soles are already falling off the bottom before I’ve even worn them. I would return them, but I would not have time to get another pair before my wedding.
The leather is soft though, and even though they’re too big they are comfortable. I adore that you can select the heal size. Buy them if you have the time to sort out all the problems.
Pump construction encourages the canvas to hug the arch and reduces material bunching underfoot when pointing. Soft and durable square canvas which molds to the foot. Heel seam cushion for a smooth and aesthetically pleasing line of the foot.
Tear drop shaped pads at the toe and heel promote extra flexibility for the foot to arch. Material: Canvas.
The reviews on the sizing was a mix of true-to -size and way-too-big so I went with my daughter’s usual Ballet shoe size, and we ended up with the ‘way-too-big’ shoes. Like the other reviews, probably 2 sizes bigger.
They seem like nice shoes but sadly, not gonna work. They are being returned. I also ordered the infinity stretch, but those were much too small! I don’t understand how one company can make the same shoes sizes in different styles with such big size differences.
Order 2 sizes down for this style, but order 1 size up for the other style. Can’t order online for ballet shoes.
I have been a longtime wearer of Bloch Dansoft shoes and wanted to try something a little different this time, but I regretted getting these shoes and had to return them. I ordered the same size that I normally wear in the Bloch Dansoft (3.
5C) and these were noticeably tighter and smaller, and also dug into my heel. I think the elastic binding around the edge is actually not a great feature. At first it seems like it would be better than having the drawstring, but having tried it on I can say with certainty that the comfort level is lower.
If you do order this shoe I would recommend getting a half size up from your usual size in Bloch (go down 1. 5 sizes from your street shoe size instead of 2 sizes down).
This character shoe by So Danca features a buckle strap, 1 1/2″ heel, and leather sole. Other features include a breathable PU upper that gives like leather, cushion lining, and premium, quality detailing.
These shoes are very flattering. They made my feet look narrower. They were also very comfortable. I have character class once a week and I’ve had them for about three years. So, they hold up really well.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs character shoes.
I’m an active high school musical theatre student, and character shoes are a must-have for musicals that require dancing. These are not only easy to dance in (1 1/2 in heels are the lowest I would wear and the most comfortable), but are also very cute and stylish.
They are very sturdy and although I have only had them for two weeks, I can tell that they will last a long time. The man made leather is soft and flexible, the sole strong but cushioned, and they look so pretty on my feet! The spot that I feel a little uncomfortable pressure on is the ball of the foot; the foamy cushioning there tends to go down with wear.
My only other complaint is that the toe area is a little narrow so they feel kinda small, and I would recommend stretching them out a bit with thicker socks while you break them in. Speaking of breaking in, they did break in pretty quickly; I just wore them around the house for a few days, and soon enough, they became good and scuffed on the bottom – I suggest a little shuffling/turning on a hard floor for a few minutes to kickstart that.
Without a break in period, they are super slippery, so be careful! but that is expected with a character shoe, or any shoe for that matter. Thanks DiscountDance and SoDanca for another great product! I am a street size 5.
5-6. 5, my foot being about 9 in long, and a size 6m fit just a tad tight, but definitely bearable.
I emailed customer service to return my shoes and they got back right away. The return process was super easy and my new pair is on the way right now. The only reason they were too small is because I didn’t read the warning on the website that said to order a size up.

You’ll never have to sacrifice style for security in our Manhattan.
I was SO excited to get these in the mail, but after putting them on, I was so disappointed. The shoe fits very poorly and reminds me of cheap shoes you get off of Amazon. I hate how they fit and the quality of the shoe is poor.
I was surprised that they were so low quality. I knew that they were a higher scale tap shoe, but this is as worse than I thought. Will definitely be looking elsewhere for a good pair of taps.
Much stiffer than the So Dancas I used to use. They look nice, but I’m going to have to beat up the heel and use leather conditioner to keep from getting nasty blisters on my heel/achilles. They look really nice.
I wear 6. 5 ladies street shoes, and ordered a 7 – they fit well.
