The best all natural flea and tick prevention for dogs is a mix of equal parts water and vinegar. Apply this solution to your dog’s fur and skin, being careful to avoid the eyes, nose, and mouth. You can also add a few drops of lavender or lemon essential oil to the mixture for added protection.

This stuff is outstanding. You spray it on your dog, or your home furnishings anywhere really. And you see the effects immediately. The fleas evacuate the area or pet and then die quickly. Its all natural nontoxic made from essential oils and will not negatively effect the health of anyone or anything that comes in contact with the products.
There are 3 or 4 different fragrances to choose from that are not overwhelming and disapate pretty quickly but not in efficiency. The Skin Tonic helps my dogs with skin issues such as hot spots, allergies and welping blowing coat irritation.
We have 2 adult dogs and 3 juveniles that are their offspring and have used their products since before they became parents, while they were expecting and even after she had her one and only litter. 2 years and we have never been disappointed or unsatisfied with ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.
And you can use them the entire time. You can use them for general maintenance and issues before, up to birthing and use them on the babies immediately. It gives me peace of mind that I am doing what is needed by my dogs and pups with no negative side effects to their health or ours.

I’ve tried everything natural to treat fleas… as far as the best natural solution… Wondercide is it. However… If you have a flea infestation, as I have had in my backyard during summer, you will need to use the chemical solutions if the infestation is out of control.
Even so, I contributed to use Wondercide on my pets and inside blankets and it works. I’ve also taken my doggo up in the mountains and always use Wondercide. Yes, the smells aren’t the greatest (peppermint is my favorite because I’m not a fan of lemongrass or rosemary) but it’s not about the smell, it’s about what works and what is safe.
And yes, your dogs coat will have an oily-like residue, but that’s what keeps the bugs at bay. essential oils. Just as lavender oil keeps mosquitos away. 🙂 It doesn’t get any better than Wondercide.
I started using Wondercide Flea & Tick for my old dog last year when he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. We live in a Lyme endemic area, and I was very concerned about the pesticides in the usual products for a dog whose system was already battling a serious disease.
When I received my first order, that day he came in the house with an adult Black-legged tick crawling up his leg. I grabbed it, put it in the bathroom sink, gave it a spritz of Wondercide, and watched it curl up its legs and die.
Although I have since been bitten twice myself, and now suffer from Chronic Lyme Disease, my dog was fine. He has since passed over the Bridge, but my other dog is still being spritzed every three days with Wondercide, and it looks like things are still going well.
I can’t say for a certainty that these products will work for everyone, but they have worked for me. or at least my dogs. I need to get their human insect repellant and try that, too, I guess.
Our flea and tick repellent spray is an all-natural solution formulated with vet-approved essential oils, such as cedarwood to deter pests and lemongrass for a fresh fragrance. Ticks and fleas will instantly avoid cedarwood botanicals.
Flea and tick prevention for dogs is approved by veterinarians. kin+kind is dedicated to the mission of creating products with plant-based ingredients. This leads to happy and healthy pets and a safe and thriving planet.
Buy our flea and tick repellent spray and apply with confidence!.
As much as I wanted this to work, because nearly everything I use on myself is natural base, it just didn’t make the cut. This is not a good product, at least not for poodles. This made my dog’s coat very greasy.
Poodles have hair, not fur, and it’s curly, which may contribute to why this product is not a good fit for them. I had to give my dog a bath after using this, because an adequate protective amount left him sticky and greasy.
Also, there is very bad misinformation on the bottle. I can’t quite blame the manufacturers though, because almost no one in mainstream medicine or veterinary medicine has any clue about ticks and Lyme disease.
DO NOT just use this on hikes! You must use it also in your own backyard! I should know. I got bit by a tick on 2 separate occasions (many years apart, in different yards and different parts of the state) and am struggling to overcome the tragedy that is chronic Lyme and other tick-borne infections.
Both yards were neatly groomed, with no woods in the vicinity. Ticks live and breed everywhere! Even Antarctica. And yes, they are very active in winter, too. Do you really want to risk your dog’s life by not giving him/her full coverage all the time? Dog’s die from Lyme disease, and there is no vaccine on the market that can prevent Lyme disease.
It’s not possible to make a vaccine against Lyme disease in either dog’s or people. The nature of the outer surface proteins of the bacteria will ALWAYS cause the dog/person to get Lyme. ALWAYS. Be smart.
Research everything to death. Go visit Lyme patient health boards for the truth on Lyme and tick-borne diseases. I have yet to find a credible veterinarian association or researcher who knows anything about Lyme disease.
Because I need to protect my beloved dog from getting the disease that has so ravaged my own life and body, I put him back on the prescription product. I’m not a fan of pharmaceuticals, but he has not gotten bit by a tick on it yet.
After using those topical (between the shoulder blades) systemic flea and tick treatments for years on my dog, I wondered what bad things it was doing to his organs. I decided to try Kin+Kind herbal spray from this website.
I have a German Shorthair Pointer who, even though officially retired, is often out in the field enjoying life. We also happen to live in the woods of West Central Idaho, along with all the bugs that live in the woods.
I was afraid the herbal scent would attract the usual stinging and biting wasps and hornets here. With the money back guarantee, I thought I couldn’t lose. This product keeps the fleas and ticks away without attracting other biting insects.
I’m very happy and so is my dog Chase. When I get the bottle off the shelf, he stands ready for a spritz, knowing a good walk is next.
Tick season was BAD this year, but even after all the hikes we took our two dogs on, we didn’t have one tick. No issues with fleas either. We spray this if pups are going on a walk and or playing in the yard for an extended time.
The smell is wonderful and definitely lingers for a period of time. Not only do we apply this to our dogs, but also ourselves. We were amazed when we went hiking and fishing over the summer and mosquitos were so thick.
I had some Kin + Kind in my backpack from previously walking dogs that day. Sprayed on our clothes and the mosquitos fell right off. We truly had no further issues with mosquitos the remainder of our day.
Richard’s Organics Flea and Tick Spray is naturally formulated with 5 essential oils to kill and repel fleas and ticks for up to 4 weeks without exposing your pet and family to harsh chemicals. For dogs and puppies over 8 weeks of age (and humans, too!) Not safe for cats.
Also repels mosquitoes for pets and humans. Great for use on camping trips, on hikes, in your backyard, etc. No artificial color or fragrance.
I keep seeing reviews on here where people are saying this spray smells bad. There must be something wrong with their noses! Heck, I’d dabble a bit of this stuff behind my ears it smells so good. 🙂 Yes, it’s fairly thick and a (little) oily but that’s what helps repel the fleas.
But these are all natural oils and I’ve never had a problem with my dog feeling overly oily or seeing it get on her bed or furniture. The active ingredients are: Cinnamon Oil, Rosemary Oil, Peppermint Oil, Cedar Oil, Clove Oil.
So I’m guessing the people who dislike the way this smells, also hates essential oils because that’s exactly what this smells like, and I LOVE the smell. In fact, sometimes I use this when my dog is smelling a bit “dog like” and it leaves her smelling like a fresh herb garden immediately.
I do however recommend applying this outside because your dog is not going to like the smell. This gives the essential oil fumes time to dissipate a bit before bringing them into an enclosed space.
I use this more than anything as a part of her flea preventative regimen, but it also has a role whenever she’s had a case of the fleas. It creates a good lather and cleans month old dust and grime from her coat wonderfully.
I do have to use a good amount, but that more because of my dog being a long haired breed. The scent has to be one of my favorites, it is potent, so some people might not like it, but I really do enjoy the peppermint and herbal smell.
Pup also smells really good for a few days before it goes away. When I’m bathing her, she doesn’t seem to mind the scent thank goodness. 10/10.
Definitely a unique smell (jaeger anyone?) AND definitely not wimpy (you can smell it 30 feet away) AND definitely WORKS. I use this because we live in the woods and I don’t want to deal with tick diseases in my dogs, I don’t want to be swarmed when we are washing them outside in the doggy tub and mosquitoes think I’m delicious, and my girls’ coats feel gross and dry with the tropical nonsense.
so we use this. Keeps pests off the dogs, the mosquitoes avoid me like plague (remember I said you can smell it 30 feet away? Yeah. That bubble works on me too!), and it doesn’t make them softer or coarser (husky and shepherd hair is pretty course and water repellant anyways), so why not? I like to use this more in summer, in the winter I use a milder herbal soap.

Reviews From Real Customers
Good product, works on fleas, ticks, mosquitos, chiggers and flys also. I bought the home spray(use on my shoes while hiking and it worked very well, we live in Florida), pet spray, and shampoo. It smells like peppermint to me.
It took two applications to fully get our issue under control, but I still have plenty of product left to use for a few months. I used the shampoo product on my dog. Only complaint is shampoo is drying to the skin.
He gets a bath once a week. The pet spray is amazing. I used it on my cats and *rabbit* sprayed a strip from their head back. The flys and mosquitos leave the rabbit alone nowz nothing I ever tried worked.
I also was able to mist it on the strays in my neighborhood when they came to eat. The smell seems to keep them all from licking it. The house spray I use on my dogs bed, the bottom of the couch, and I sprayed the door jams.
I haven’t seen any in the house. It may not be 100% effective but it does work, and you don’t have to soak your pets in chemicals.
A natural repellent to protect your pets from fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and flies. Pleasant & refreshing smell! Clean, non-sticky active ingredients! A natural flea and tick repellent formulated by nature.
The oils have been used for centuries by the indigenous people of the Amazon forest to keep pests from detecting a desirable scent from their skin thus creating avoidance. Flea & Tick Repellent Spray does not contain any drugs or synthetic chemicals.
I’ve been researching flea prevention for a while now. I have a cat and a dog and it’s hard to find something safe for both of them. But please do not use any of these products on your cats! I’ve read about essential oils and how they affect cats, and they are toxic to them.
Essential oils can build up and reach toxic levels in your cat or cause liver damage. I looked at the ingredients in these natural flea repellents, and they all have either cinnamon oil, peppermint oil, clove oil, etc.
Peppermint and clove essential oils are extremely toxic to cats! And I can’t believe that “”Only Natural Pet”” is claiming that these products are safe! No wonder the squeeze on treatment containing 10% peppermint oil and 7% clove oil has reviews saying it burns the cat and causes the fur to fall out! I’m hoping to find a natural treatment for fleas for my cat and dog, but I don’t think this is the answer.
Just because it’s natural does not mean it’s safe. Especially when all of the ingredients are toxic to cats!.
One of my cats is allergic to Advantage flea medicine so I switched all my cats to this and it works so well! I was honestly shocked and it smells so much better than the others and it’s so easy to apply!.
I really like the smell (ie fragrance). I spray it on my dogs; they hate sprays and immediately roll on the ground. I spray it on myself and I’ll spray it around the screen door to discourage any flying buggers.

EasyDefense Barrier Bites are flea & tick chewables made for dogs and cats.
They’re a natural, safe and effective way to protect your pet from biting insects.
I got this product to prevent tics on my dog. After a few days of taking it he became very ill with vomiting, lethargy, wouldn’t play. Because he was vomiting we withheld the supplement and he got better.
I resumed giving him the chews and after a few days he started vomiting again. I did some research on the ingredients and found garlic powder was included. According to the Merck Veterinary Manual, garlic and other members of the allium family, including onions, contain thiosulfate, which is toxic to dogs but not to humans.
He has since recovered as we completely stopped the chews.
As a person and partner of a new medical alert/service dog, I only want to give my service dog the best without putting harmful chemicals on or inside his body and this product helps me do just that.
And since Kash is a Service Dog he goes everywhere with me and thus must always be clean and free of fleas, ticks and other pests that don’t need to come with us. Kash loves the taste of these chews and I love that they keep him free of fleas and ticks without placing harmful chemicals either on or inside to accomplish my goal.
I do supplement his chews with a Flea and Tick Defense Wipe on a daily basis just to ensure he keeps his pest-free body. I would recommend these bites to any owner/partner who wishes to go the more natural way of defending against those fleas and tick concerns.
But don’t forget to use some additional homeopathic products during the height of the flea and tick season which all can be found on this website. Thank You.
Again, using this in conjunction with many other holistic products to attack fleas and ticks on my puppy. So FAR, i have a hard time getting her to eat these. She doesn’t like the taste evidently so it becomes a peanut butter treat.

I bought this a week ago and use it every day on my small cavalier king charles spaniel female and once on my springer spaniel and medium size cavalier king charles spaniel boy. All dogs are with infected with fleas and we had a hard time keeping them off with regular store bought spot on treatments and baths so we bought this product hoping it will kill and repel the fleas off our dogs and home and this is what happened after we almost finish the spray bottle.
I want to mention before I forget that I been using it everyday on my small female king charles spaniel and once on the other dogs and that I sprayed my bed bedroom every day too and sprayed the dog’s bed and area with it a couple of times but now I am trying another product because this spray will actually kill the fleas but the fleas have to be visible like on top instead of under tick hair or out on top of the bed or floor for them to die.
My cavalier boy infestection was the worst uyou could she them running and jumping and the millions of eggs and when I sprayed him all die and the eggs too. The eggs became blood and my dog had so many he looked like he was badly hurt off how much blood was on him after the spray.
He had so many dead fleas I used the flea comb to get them off him and the comb was coming out completely full but he did have live fleas on him, the ones that were under the ticker hair or under the ton of dead fleas.
The springer spaniel female did not had that many since she had a hair cut and bath with blue dawn the day before and her fleas were reached easy and died and for the small cavalier female most died except the ones under the tick long hairs which I got out with the flea comb.
I had sprayed my bed, bedroom and the rest of the house with it also my small cavalier female pj’s and as precautiong sprayed her body before putting on the pj’s and she walk out the room and when I called her back as always I checked her and she had a flea on the pj where her right tight is.
The flea was not jumping or moving when I pulled her out. We went to bed without my small cavalier waking up to scratch and sleep the whole night but the next day after we got up (me and the dog) it was a flea on the bottom corner of the outer side of the bed which I immediatly spray with this product and died.
I also got jumped by a flea on my sock when I opened the kitchen door to let my small cavalier out so this product does not repel the fleas at all as you can see by my experience on the bed, dog pj and kitchen door but will kill the fleas when you see them so what I am doing until we can get them to the bed next week is combing them after we spray them to make sure we we get them and for my little cavalier that sleeps with me I spray her and rub it to her skin and spray her pj too then put her in the bed and be sleeping without problems or scratching all night and do not find those flea dirt (small black dots that are flea poop or/and eggs) on my bed but I did noticed one thing about this product it does bring out hair out on the bed and dog’s plush toys.
Use a lot of this product, and usually order 2 bottles at a time. Few weeks ago, ordered large refill jug because it was cheaper. However, with the regular bottles, once you screw in the dispenser top, it snaps and locks onto the bottle.
Found that it is impossible to remove, so cannot refill the spray bottle. Tried a cheap spray bottle at dollar store, but the product does not hold its scent in that bottle. Useless, because the repelling scent is the whole point of this product.
Infuriating. Why sell the refill jugs if you can’t remove the top of the spray bottle to refill it? This product is not cheap, and now I have to order more individual bottles right away.
For the first time ever, I noticed a few fleas (two or three) on my kitty which I thought was odd because he gets another flea preventative every month. Anyway, I ran out to my local pet store (where I really go because they never have anything I need — I usually order from Chewy) and they had one bottle of this.
While a touch strong, it does have a very pleasant odor. I used once a day for about five days and after each application dried, I used a flea comb. Lucky for me my kitty LOVES to be brushed and combed.
After the first time, I only saw one flea and after the second and third only one flea. Days 4 and 5 — none. I was pleasantly surprised that my kitty didn’t lick it off. I also liked that it is plant based.
Would definitely recommend but maybe just for a situation like mine where there is just a few.
I purchased this after my dog had a seizure. He was on nexgard. One of the chemicals in that flea/tick treatment is notorious for causing seizures. Shame on me for not doing more research before going with what my vet recommended.
:-/ Today was his first application of “Spot On” and, oh boy, the scent is pretty overwhelming. The citronella and lemongrass is very strong. My dog is my shadow, so I couldn’t get away from the smell and it gave me a headache.
My dog didn’t seem to mind the smell. Luckily, it begins to fade after a few hours. My dog hasn’t had fleas or ticks, so I don’t know how effective this treatment is, yet. It’s summer time in FL, so I will definitely find out the effectiveness very soon.
Edit: 7/15/2020 – This product seems to be working well. I do live in an area where neighbors I treat our yards, so I don’t know if that makes a difference. After being bathed and groomed, my dog started itching, so I had to apply again.
Three weeks later, we were stuck in a pop up downpour (oh, Florida) and were drenched. So, I reapplied after my dog dried. Re-application could become costly, but I’m trying to schedule grooming around regular applications Additionally, I will make sure that I have extra applications, on hand, so that I can reapply if/when my dog gets wet.
My dog hasn’t had another seizure (knock on wood) since, the end of June! While there are (minimal) cons to this product – reapplication, initial overwhelming smell – I have been very pleased and will continue using this natural prevention.
Our vet went on vacation. And I decided to poison fleas at kittens myself. I used to buy from the guys and I really liked the quality of their products. I decided to buy from them this time too. I liked the product, it’s good that my kittens are not very big yet, and I managed to apply this preparation to them with the help of my husband.
At first there was a strong smell and I was a little scared. But it passed quickly enough and I didn’t feel it anymore, only if I pressed my nose against it. I see that they have become less itchy. And they look calmer because they are not bothered by these nasty fleas.
So far, I put 5 out of 5. I will watch them, I hope the remedy will work for a very long time.
I decided to try this product on my kitten. I usually buy such things from a veterinarian, but this time I decided to buy from these guys, since their products are at a high level. My Jesy has a strong allergy to fleas, especially at the end of the summer, when there are too many of them.
It itches and it is unpleasant for her. According to my feelings, it took a week for it to work. She stopped scratching and meowing like a madwoman. It did her good, the wounds healed. And the most important thing is that I don’t see fleas running around on it.

I bought this for our 12 year old epileptic dog border collie. She doesn’t handle other flea & tick collars well, too many harsh chemicals. This one has worked great all summer long, no fleas, no ticks.
And she’s a tick magnet. We walk in our field and woods everyday. We are also highly infested with ticks, but this collar keeps them off. I highly recommend this product!! Just bought a second one!.

I have had my baby Blaze as natural as possible for the last 2 years. Her food, supplements, no nasty shots and now natural care for flea, tick and mosquitoes. Yes my baby girl is healthier than ever and I love the fact that I don’t have to give her nasty pesticides to keep the bugs away!! Thank you Only Natural Pets for loving my baby and all the other fur babies too!!.
I live in a heavily wooded area where ticks are prevalent! These wipes have worked very well thus far–in conjunction with the “barrier bites” and the “tick tags”. I always seem to find ticks crawling on my vizslas even with the tags, but they are rarely attached/biting.
SO far, with adding the use of the wipes over the past couple of weeks, I have not found a single tick on my dogs. The peppermint/eucalyptus scent seems to be a bit annoying to the dogs when wiping their heads and necks, but once they’re outside, they’re OK.
Until we get a hard freeze and the ticks are dormant, these wipes are very useful and effective. I am still diligent in checking them after we’ve been out in the woods, just as a precaution–but so far, so good! Thank you for another safe and effective product, ONP!.

Last month I bought the vet’s best flea & tick yard spray, home spray, dog spray, and dry shampoo. After following all of the directions and treating my yard (twice), home (twice), and dog (nearly every other day) it has shown to be 100% ineffective for deer ticks.
The product has a strong smell though not unpleasent once dry. After I realised it was not working I did my own little test. The product claims to repel ticks and “kill on contact” so I caught a few deer ticks and ran my own testing.
First I sprayed a small towel with the dog spray and place it in one corner of a large tote with 3 deer ticks places on the opposite side of the same tote. Within one hour all three ticks were on or hiding in the towel.
For my second test I fully submerged a fourth tick (not yet exposed to the spray) in the dog spray for one minute and then placed the saturated tick in a large tupperware container. As soon as the tick was dry it was up and running around again.
I opened the container frequently to make sure it did not suffocate (I’m sure it would not have anyways but for the sake of eliminating false testing I replaced oxygen frequently). The results were horrifying.
It took more then 53 hours from saturation until death. I am no scientists however after this controlled experiment I no longer believe Vet’s best claims and believe them to be 100% false.

Reviews From Real Customers
I have been using this product for years now and it truly does repel the fleas, ticks, and mosquito’s. The scent is strong, but is good if you like the smell of cinnamon or cloves. I find this product repels for about 1 – 2 weeks and the scent can last up to 4 weeks for me.
It is a oil/liquid, not shampoo consistency and does not lather like shampoo. I find leaving the product on for at least 10 minutes works best for removing current fleas. I recommend this product for immediate relief from fleas or a consistent inexpensive flea removal method.
You may want to use conditioner or give your dog extra oils as this shampoo dries out the skin and coat with multiple uses.
I have to give this product 4 stars because it is not the consistency of a shampoo. It is liquid. I have to mix it in with my pets regular shampoo to use it. I do not know the effectiveness of killing fleas, I bought this to repell them which I believe it does.
The product has a very strong clove smell in the bottle, but is subtle once you wash your pet. The essential oils in this “shampoo” leave my pets fur very soft. This product can be used on both dogs and cats(I do) because it has the same ingredients/potency as the cat shampoo of this brand.
I purchased this as part of a whole house, yard and pet natural treatment for fleas. (We did not have ticks so I can not say if it works for them). When I used it as a shampoo it did not lather and is very watery, but it did kill fleas I think.
Then I used a conditioner which I later learned ruined the very nice cinnamon and cedar scent that is supposed to repel the fleas. I called the company and they explained not to use conditioner even though the bottle doesn’t say anything about it.
I ended up buying a different natural flea shampoo for lather and using the rest of this bottle in a sprayer on my dog’s t-shirt so that when I take him out the natural chemistry cedar scent on the t-shirt fabric will repel fleas.
I chose to repeatedly spray the t-shirt every day, before putting the shirt on the dog to avoid any spray getting in his eyes and face, for the scent to be strong and then take the t-shirt off when we came back in.
I think the natural chemistry shampoo does kill fleas but you have to know it is watery and won’t lather. Also TEST YOUR DOG’S SKIN before bathing to make sure your dog isn’t allergic to the natural oils which some dogs can be.
You also need to bathe your dog weekly to have any sort of scent for the repelling effect to work. The weaker the scent the less repellent thus I used a t-shirt and spray bottle. Natural Chemistry has this in a sprayer to purchase but I already had this shampoo and the lady on the phone said it is practically the same contents and to just put it in a sprayer of my own.
They were very nice on the phone and had good suggestions such as using a sponge to put it on carefully and towel lightly to let it dry on the dog if possible. DO NOT let it get it into your dog’s eyes or mouth!!! We also use the Natural Chemistry Yard Spray which I think is effective and I like the company and prefer natural to chemicals when possible.
We did not have a tick problem in our yard so I do not know how well it works on ticks. Chewy. com has the best prices!.
UltraCruz Canine Natural Flea and Tick Spray is an insect repellant that you don’t have to be afraid to use! The activity of this highly effective spray is due to the presence of natural, essential oils which repel many different forms of insects without harming the environment or your dog.
Simply spray on and do not rinse off – contains no harmful pesticides or harsh chemicals for the environment.
I’m hoping this works on my two horses, today I was impressed- very hot and humid evening and I hosed down my guys before turnout. The horse flies were all over them as I knew would be the case. I took my bottle of ultra Cruz and sprayed each one real good all over and under.
The horseflies left. I checked on my way out and saw them eating in the pasture with only an occasional tail swishing and no stomping or head throwing from the flies. They were not being bothered by the horseflies and they were still damp from the hosing.
This is great if it works this well as I like to rinse them in the evening after a hot sweaty day!.
I have a grey show horse and with grey comes manure stains, ALWAYS the morning of a show. I’ve used other green spot remover sprays over the years with previous grey horses ive had and they were better than nothing.
I used the UltraCruz at a show last weekend for the first time and WOW was I impressed! It doesn’t just move the discoloration around on the hair, it really and truly CLEANS away the spot. I was telling everyone at the show that the UltraCruz green stain remover was legit and needs to be a staple for anyone with a grey, roan or paint horse!.
I absolutely love this coat spray! It smells similar to the normal shampoo, a nice light scent, and it WORKS. I have used countless different types of coat sprays over the years. I have a grey who lives outside 24/7 and nothing has ever been able to get him this clean, shiny, and soft, and keep him that way.
Usually by a day or two after I use a coat spray, his tail will end up being dirty and I’ll have to use more product. I bathed him almost a week ago and no dirt has stuck on his tail yet, it’s super soft, and it did not irritate his dock.
He has rolled in dirt and gotten rained on and it was easily brushed off. I highly recommend this. Since you don’t have to reapply every day, it will last a long time, too!.
My cats really hate the smell of these wipes, but they have learned that during the summer they can’t go outside unless they get a wipe down. The wipes seem to work fairly well at keeping fleas away, if you can get past the smell.
I do also use it in conjunction with a topical flea treatment, I just don’t wipe them down with them if it’s been less than 3 days since they got their treatment.
I will admit the smell is pretty strong, but it does help my pomeranian. I love the fact that I just have to use one wipe to treat my dog. It works wonders. I do recommend that you use this product along with flea shampoo and or spray for best results.
My 10 year old cat thinks he’s getting a massage when I grab 2 wipes and massage over his fur and rub into his skin. Then we brush. He like a soft hairbrush. We now do this routine daily. The product feels like a great beauty expensive beauty product on my skin! And smells like peppermint and cloves- what’s not to like.
Per the directions I’m careful not to get in his eyes or on his genitals.
Cedarcide Original is a SAFE, non-toxic alternative to the traditional flea & tick collars, topical and chewable pills that are on the market. Kills and repels fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, bed bugs, mites, ants, chiggers, flies, moths and more! Spray or brush on and go! It is safe for people and pets and is made from 100% natural ingredients.
Before we began treating our bedroom for fleas, hubby and I were getting eaten alive by fleas. These little suckers are vicious, the scabs and scratches on my feet and ankles can attest to that. So we looked for flea sprays without a mess of toxic chemicals because my hubby has Multiple Sclerosis.
We came across Cedarcide as a top contender after I read a review that suggested using it as a linen spray on bedding. It’s pricey, but we have definitely seen a big improvement in flea bites from bedtime to morning (from hundreds a night to one or two).
Since this only kills adult fleas, we use it solely on the bed sheets when I make the bed in the morning. It certainly seems to have helped. If we continue to see good results, I will buy it again. The con? It.
REEKS!!! Strong doesn’t even begin to tell the story. 10-12 hours later, it’s still obnoxiously strong. If you don’t mind your house smelling like a forest of cedar trees, then its awesome. I’ll still use it.
Nothing a little vaseline under the nose can’t fix!!.
I like this spray. I think it is great to put on kitty after a flea bath. Flea control has to be a multi product, multi intervention undertaking. Any one product or action doesn’t eliminate fleas, but using this in combination with other steps does work.
Cedar chests & cedar closets do not have living insects of any kind, especially moths, in them. The cedar oil is a tried & true old fashioned remedy. Oh, and kitty loves the scent.
I was looking into bug spray & decided on this one. After looking into best bug spray for dogs, this was rated number 5 on google. Decided to give it a try, it smells like old garlic and spices if that makes sense but we have a very bad nat problem in our backyard and after spraying this on them I haven’t seen any bugs go near them & we have 4 dogs.
I definitely recommend this bug spray for your dogs. It even did a very good job of moisturizing their coat! so far after an hour no bugs are near them! I’m so happy I got this.
Use the natural repellent power of essential oils such as lemongrass and cedarwood to protect your pets from fleas and flies. For optimal protection, spray the herbal fragrance on your pets, as well as on their beds, pillows, blankets and other sleeping areas.
Flea spray and deodorizer for cats and dogs over the age of 6 weeks.
I put this product on my cat who was suffering a flea infestation. This product was nice but you still need to purchase monthly flea medicine. The product helps sooth my cat’s inflamed skin. I didn’t realize my cat was allergic to the topical flea medication, Revolution.
Yes it does have a strong scent, but it is nice seeing my cat being relieved from skin inflammation. Good stuff and I would buy it again. It is better using natural stuff instead of chemicals on your cat.
I bought this to spray my cat and the couch/human bedding/dog and cat bedding. After bathing and drying my maine coon I sprayed her according to the directions. She has had less fleas over the past 4 days and today I have found none on her body.
My dogs are on oral flea medicine but I sprayed their beds and blankets as well as my own. I have found that using this product in conjunction with vacuuming daily, washing human and animal bedding weekly, and giving other non-felines some sort of prescription flea meds has worked perfectly for us.
Highly recommend but please use common sense and realize that fleas don’t live on animals, they feed on them. They LIVE and lay eggs in places like carpets, beds and upholstered furniture.
After 7 years, my dog built up an immunity to Frontline plus and got attacked by fleas. After the house bombing, flea bath, and useless Frontline I had just recently given, I really wanted to try going chemical free for a couple weeks until I can put on some Advantix.
I apply it every morning and it seems to be working great. I haven’t seen one flea and believe me, I’ve been looking. The smell isn’t that bad. It pretty much goes away once dry. Some of the reviews mentioned still seeing fleas.
If people aren’t bombing their flea infested houses and washing all bedding, blankets, toys, and cleaning up the eggs and fleas in their house, they will live there forever and continue to haunt you and your pet.

I searched for non chemical spray for annoying insects,to no avail. Happy day when I came across Natural Pet site. I don’t do much on line ordering, bu their introductory offer convinced me. I use it about every three days-probably more in early summer.
My dog sneezed once the first use and never again. I plan to introduce my vet to this product ASAP,.
I use this spray on my dogs as well as myself. I love the smell and its great at repelling the bugs from wanting to be in my skin as well as for my dogs. I highly recommend this to anyone that’s looking for a natural product.

I used this product as directed and it did not work – it only was ever effective at making my dog resent me for the peppermint smell. WARNING this products spray bottle showed up broken and leaking on my doorstep – but chewy was there for me and replaced the entire package for free and sent me all new products – It is just a poor design for the Spray Bottle as the lid has very few threads on it and pops off far too easily.
the fleas bathe in it like it was a party time jacuzzi – they seem unbothered by the spray – (and I used two bottles worth over 3 weeks time) Find something else if your dog has fleas. The fleas are not very bothered by the spray even if you comb it through and rub it into the coat – it provides temporary relief from bites but they come back in a few hours – I deep cleaned all my linnens and doggy items – and sprayed down the entire area multiple times (at least 6 cycles) and the fleas just laughed at us.
I never use store bought pills or drops they are horrible !! For years I’ve used all natural spray made by people who truly care ! We love Skouts Honor!! We have told all our friends about this amazing product and we hope to use it for years to come !! Alyse Goldberg.
I rescued a puppy on side of road was covered in fleas immediately gave him flea pill. And waited about a hour then I purchased the spray and shampoo the both work great. The sprayer would not spray and the top came off and I did lose some of the product.
Biospotix is a completely natural remedy for external parasites such as fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. Entirely safe for humans, dogs and other pets alike, it works by breaking the insect’s respiratory system.
Can be used on puppies over 3 months. Spray over coat weekly for optimal use.
This stuff is great. I use it along with the monthly flea treatment. I just give him a spray a couple of times a week and brush it through his coat and so far we seem to be flea free. He is allergic to most other flea treatments so this is a god send.
He’s quite a nervous cat and does jump initially when I spray it but then actually purrs when I brush it through. So nice to find something natural that works and doesn’t freak him out and make him not come near me for a week.
Sceptical that anything could deter this year’s invasions of ticks so absolutely delighted I found this spray so effective. Daily walkies were a nightmare living near woodland and grasses but one quick spray before leaving home has certainly alleviated the number of ticks carried back home.
A quick spray is all that is needed, the clear instructions for use on the bottle certainly helped and should be read before use. Very happy with the performance of this product.
Some natural flea and tick prevention methods for dogs include using essential oils, such as lavender oil or eucalyptus oil; using a vinegar solution; using diatomaceous earth; or using a citrus-based spray.
You should speak with your veterinarian to get specific recommendations for your dog.
