10 Best 2 Into 1 Exhaust For Harley Softail (2023 Updated)

loud pipes if that’s what you’re looking for. they were probably a bit too loud, given feedback from buddies i rode with (if they were behind me they had to ride on my left side because of the sound).

the sound was good though – a low rumble). easy at home install.

Installed on a 15 FXSB. The instructions are well laid out and I was able to install the pipes without much problem. I did have to round out the mounting plate holes so that there was a bit of adjustment.

After securing to the head, the top pipe mount holes were about an 1/8 of an inch off. I could have forced it, but would have likely torqued on the head. The only other issue was the exhaust gasket. The stock gasket is the recommended gasket by V&H, but is essentially crushed by the pipe with has a blunt end.

The stock pipe has a tapered mouth for which the gasket was designed. The seals were fairly new, as I only had 1200 miles on the bike and were pliable. I would recommend new seals when doing this. I did the torque on the head in 3 stages instead of 2 because of the crushing effect of the gasket.

Time will tell how well it holds up. Otherwise the pipes are what they should be.

2014 HD CVO Breakout. Revzilla got these to me fast. Removal of old exhaust/installation of new took 2. 5 hours including installing V&H FuelPak. Time included having to drop OilBud oil cooler to access front pipe sensor connection.

Easy install. Not V&H’s issue but hardest part and most time consuming was rear head/rear nut exhaust mount. Don’t know if it’s specific only to my model bike/110 engine but was tough to get to while not marking up chrome oil tank.

Pipes are a bit louder than expected but no complaints. sounds sick. Highly reccomend these pipes.

Exhaust is top notch quality and you can feel the power increase after install and tuning. Absolutely love it.

Extremely happy with how the exhaust looks and sounds! My only two complaints are; the connection between the muffler and pipes was not a snug fit at all requiring quite a bit of permatex to make them seal, this led to a longer install then I would have liked.

So the install wasn’t the easiest because I had to remove the muffler to apply high temp permatex.

My bike just went super saiyan! This is my second time purchasing this 2 into 1. It is nice and throaty and will definitely get you noticed by cagers but not too loud like V&H short shots. I can tell the difference on performance with an air cleaner plus the Screamin Eagle pro street tuner.

easy install, sound great. put in the quiet baffles but still very loud. why 2 stars? I put these f&ckers on just 18 months ago and the [email protected] chrome is flaking off of them like crazy. i ride in all weather but the bike gets parked in a garage.

there is no good reason why the chrome should be coming off this quickly. cheap crap.

Awesome Exhaust, just installed it and had my bikes fuel pack re-mapped WOW- what a difference in sound and especially performance. I rate it as a perfect ten, Quality in workmanship final finish is 100% compared to everything else I have used on my bikes.

I wanted an exhaust that would give me an bump in performance and a little bit louder than stock exhaust but not loud enough to wake the neighbors (I leave for work at 6am). these pipes fit the bill.

two into one systems are known for improving torque but I feared a thunderheader or a pro pipe would be a little two loud. this pipes are just a hair louder than stock pipes unless you really get on the throttle then it roars to life.

The finish is top notch too. I got the black finish and it looks great, best looking two into one system I’ve seen in my opinion.

Let me just say. The install went like a breeze. It was a easy install and my first impressions were amazing. Not too loud at start up so the neighbors don’t get pissed (like if I care) but once you throttle it the beast wakes up.

Have about 300 miles on it as of now but overall I’m happy with my purchase.

I was looking at several 2 into 1 systems for my 2013 Harley Night Rod Special. I considered the V&H Competition, Bub 7, Ground Pounder, and the Bassani. I decided on the Bassani as I had read so much about scraping with the other systems and how they were so loud.

I also considered the amount of air volume the others appeared to have, or lacking of, and that having proper volume in the exhaust is important to a properly running street motorcycle. Bassani is the best for ground clearance and size without being too big like the stock exhaust.

When I received it I was very impressed with the packaging as the whole system was so well padded nothing would budge in the box. The fit and finish was very good and went together without issue. I also noticed that both 18mm O2 bungs were welded in and it came with adapters to reduce down to 12mm O2 sensors and plugs for those going without O2 sensors all together.

(Previous reviewer said they didn’t come with 12mm adapters, but Bassani must have changed that around the spring of 2014) The sound is awesome as it gives a great low rumble and really sounds aggressive when you open her up, but will not give you a headache or really upset the neighbors every time you cruise bye.

It sounds aggressive, but not ear drum thumping loud. I have no clearance issue in right hand turns. It does stick out a little more than the stock so you have to hold your right leg out further when at stops to make sure you don’t rest against the header and burn your leg.

Great system. After a proper tune at my local Harley dealer on their dyno running a Screaming Eagle Pro Super Tuner I went from 114 rwhp to 118 rwhp with this system. It rides similar to stock with just more power and sound.

Torque curve remained pretty flat so it pulls really nice. I am very happy with my decision with going with Bassani RR B1.

Decided it was time to take the next step in exhaust performance when my stock system with Tab slip-ons decided to give out all at once (packing blowing out, heat shield mount tabs breaking off). I read some opinions on a V-Rod forum fully expecting to land on a V&H system.

I was surprised to read that this Bassani system had more positive long-term feedback than the aforementioned system did. So I took a chance on it. Installation is simple enough. If you have a few hours you can dedicate to doing it right, this is an enjoyable DIY bike project.

This system, like my title says, sounds absolutely wicked. definitely not for someone looking for a smoother, more-subdued sound. I like that the Revolution motor has more of a classic Harley rumble at idle with this.

Screams like a banshee at high RPMs though. (Note: the instructions call for snap ring pliers. If you’re using the hardware off of your stock headers, spade-nosed spring ring pliers are the ticket. ) Cheers!.

You do NOT need separate O2 sensor adaptor bungs! They come with the pipes as do exhaust port gaskets. Would have been nice to have read this in the description instead of purchasing them separately only to find I wasted money.

They could see I purchased bungs in the same order, too. Oh well. Great pipes.

Very cool little exhaust. It really opens up the view of the motorcycle on the right side. Installation was a breeze. Took about 2 hours. Sounds very HD.

IšverstiShow in original languageI really love the look of these pipes on my Nightster. It gives it a much different look than most sportsters some people think they are a little big for the bike but I feel they look great.

Sound is nice and throaty. I had V&H shortshots on before which were great but a lil to load and everyone has them on their sportys. The finish isn’t bad except one spot. The cover where the pipes merge doesn’t fit flush and immedialty rubs the paint off.

I had some flat touch up paint so no biggy but somewhat of a design flaw. Mounting took about 2 hrs.

IšverstiShow in original languageAfter replacing a stock head pipe and Screaming Eagle slip-ons. My 2010 FXGWG has a look of its own and not some look-alike. Great performance so far and a sound that is of its own.

I have not yet have a chance to open the throttle, because of an engine up grade to a 103 ci S. E. stage II. I now have a look, sound, and performance that has not been copied yet by another local bike.

The Black finisht is what sets this bike apart from others.

IšverstiShow in original languageDeep rumbling sound, but does not punch as hard as open pipes. I love them! Fit is great for 1998 Sportster. I have aftermarket brake pedal (TCBros) that I had to bend out 5mm, and 152 Progressive shocks that are a bit thicker so they interfere with the exhaust, so I had to make a 10mm bushing to clear the shock, on the standard exhaust support.

But stock fit should not be a problem. The finish is nice, and solid after heating on a 1st ride.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt is a nice sounding unique pipe. I have never seen another one here on the West Coast. It is holding up well. I have had it for well over a year now. FYI the Lowbrow Customs 6″ Fish Scale Heat Shields work perfect on it.

It’s a good one. Go ahead and get it, and you will stand apart from all the other popular pipe’s out there.
