Best Controls For Elden Ring (2024 Updated)

This quickly became my son’s favorite controller for Nintendo Switch, it didn’t work with Switch Lite however. This controller has a 10’ long cord making it perfect for use. The advantage of a wired controller over wireless, not needing to charge batteries before use or worrying about finding a compatible replacement battery.

The one downfall, no rumble feature, however my son finds rumble a distraction. This controller has 2 mappable buttons and 8 led light colors, you can let the colors alternate or pick a favorite. My son liked the button configuration already but users can assign advanced gaming buttons to their own needs, even after unplugging the controller it keeps your preferences.

Now the important part, very responsive controls make this easily one of the best inexpensive controllers we have tried and being able to plug-in a headset is a real game play plus.

This controller is very functional for several reasons. It is a great backup that never needs a charge when the wireless controllers run out of battery. It also is much more comfortable and ergonomic to hold when playing more immersive games like Mario.

The small switch remotes can be uncomfortable to use for long periods of time and the buttons are too close together, so this controller is a great alternative. I love the changing rainbow backlights, they are super cool.

I also love the grip of the controller, the texture keeps it from slipping out of my hands. I also don’t mind using a wired controller either this one, because the cord is very long so it reaches to my couch with no problems.

Highly recommend this remote (or maybe even 2) for anyone with a Nintendo Switch.

It’s SO lightweight compared to the Pro Controller. I purchased this along with a Pro Controller the day I purchased my Switch because I wanted as many normal controllers as possible, but I don’t feel that the modern controllers are truly worth the $50+ that they typically sell for.

This guy was a fraction of the cost and works just as well. but it’s wired. The neat thing is it’s a really long micro USB cable. You see the micro usb port when you unplug it from the controller itself.

The controller, though lightweight, feels solid in the hands. The joysticks feel very responsive and easy to control. The buttons are very responsive. I THOUGHT enhanced controller meant it had the capability to use Amiibo, but, again, my old friend fine-print strikes again.

It doesn’t say on the outer packaging that it DOESN’T support Amiibo, and it was right next to another version of this controller that WASN’T enhanced. So what does enhanced actually mean? Two hidden programmable buttons on the underside.

I still haven’t quite figured out how to use those, though. The cord is 10 feet long, and that used to be crazy long, though with larger televisions and seating situated further away as a result, the 10 foot cord is JUST long enough for my setup, and I kinda wish I had gotten the wireless version (cost twice as much) because I live in fear that my son will trip over the cord and pull the switch down off the entertainment center.

Overall, however, this controller is DEFINITELY worth the money, I only wish it was wireless, too. Does the wireless hardware really drive the price of controllers up two to three times? It’s bluetooth.

Bluetooth is cheap! The receiver is built-in to the console, and Bluetooth transmitters are as low as $5.

Thought this would be a great budget controller since I had never really been playing my switch enough to justify purchasing an official Nintendo controller. The Controller was really good for the time it had worked.

I have had it for about 8 months but I had rarely used it since I am not huge into playing my Switch all the time. Not long ago, keep in mind I don’t really use this controller, it had started stick drifting.

I then disassembled it and cleaned the control sticks with contact cleaner and it almost complete solved the problem. However it did cause an even greater issue. While it was apart, since the controller is so cheap, the wires connected to the triggers and bumpers had been stripped off the board.

Since the soldering is mostly done by machines, it’s impossible for me to resolder the wires back to the board myself because they are minuscule wires with no room to work with. This effectively had broken my controller beyond repair.

The controller does come with a 2 year warranty but with me opening the thing up that had pretty much voided it. I can’t speak for myself but I asked around and some have said that the manufacturer never honors the warranty or the turnaround time is absurdly long.

To sum it up, controller was awesome while it worked but the cheap manufacturing of it made it impossible to repair and rendered it unusable. In my opinion, you would be better off just investing into an official Nintendo Controller.

Even though it certainly costs a premium, the quality will more than likely be far better.

I bought this controller about three weeks ago and I’m already having major drift issues with the left stick. I didn’t even use it for the first week I had it because I was still waiting for my Switch to arrive.

So two weeks of (admittedly moderate to heavy) use means that every now and then Link (BOTW) moves forward at a stumbling snail’s pace instead of full speed or tries to walk towards the camera when the stick is in neutral position.

I can fiddle with the stick for a minute to get it back to working for another hour or so before it starts up again. Some might argue that you get what you pay for in this controller, but I went with this controller because even the much more expensive Nintendo Pro controllers have complaints about drift issues.

I figured that if I was unlucky enough to get a problem controller, then at least I wouldn’t have paid $60 or more for it. I still expected this to last at least 3-4 months. There is a two-year manufacture’s warranty apparently, so I may try to work with that, but other’s have complained that it’s a mess of a company to work with.

I will likely give this controller another go (I need to get one before the drift renders my current one unusable) just because it’s a quarter of the price of the pro and I don’t want to throw extra money towards a controller with similar known issues.

For Switch handheld gaming I first tried a Satisfye – ZenGrip bought on Amazon. com. While that is a good product that allows you to still use JoyCon features such as HD Rumble and gyro aiming in handheld mode, I overall prefer the Hori Split Pad Pro for convenience and comfort.

The Split Pad Pro is the best feeling way to play Switch in handheld mode that I have tried so far. Using the split pad pro, my hands don’t hurt anywhere near as much when playing something like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as they do when using just JoyCons and to some extent when using the Satisfye – ZenGrip.

Personally, I like the light weight of the controllers as it doesn’t add unnecessary weight to the console and I can still hold the Switch by holding one of the pads if I need to use the other hand for something at a given moment.

There are some additional buttons included on the split pad pro, however I have not used them yet so I don’t have anything to say about those other than they don’t get in my way. With pre-OLED Switch models you can dock the Switch without having to remove the split pads.

For the Satisfye – ZenGrip, you have to take the grip off just to dock the console and over time I noticed slight imprints and scuffs on the JoyCons after using that product. I can usually play games just fine without much of the JoyCon features such as HD Rumble and gryo aiming, so the Split Pad Pro controllers make more sense to me for max comfort and minimizing wear on the console.

The including attachment part for me adds a lot of value to the split pad pro as aside from allowing you to use the split pad for docked gaming, you can also plug the thing into a PC and use it for pretty much any game that supports a x-input controller (such as an Xbox One controller).

This allows me to travel somewhere with a laptop and use the split pad pro to play games on Steam if I want without needing to bring a separate controller or an additional adapter for the JoyCons (which I’m not even sure is a thing since I have not felt the need to try using JoyCons for PC gaming).

The cord of the attachment is conveniently a decent length too. I used $30 worth of reward certificates on Best Buy to lower the price of this thing to around $55 with tax. I’m not sure I would be OK with paying $80+ for this.

I think $70 or 60 would feel like a more fair price given how long the Split Pad Pro product has been available for and that this set is just adding the attachment.

Before I go on my rant, I own PS5 Disk, Xbox Series S and X, and a gaming computer. I am not taking sides, just going to give an honest review of a normal gamer. Upon the announcement I wanted the PS5 and the Xbox series X out of the gate, the PS5 looks amazing, the controller is pretty cool at first, and some of the games are a must have.

But I am going to review the console with the non exclusive games. At first, the announcement of the internal SSD size of 825 GB instead of 1TB like the competition was a head scratcher, but looking at history of playstation, the storage can be added, now it is a year after release and you can add a m.

2 SSD gen 4 IF you are on the beta program. Xbox had the ability day one, that SSD for 1tb costs about the same as the xbox one too. After installing 3 ps5 games and 4 ps4 games I ran out of storage on the console.

“Impossible” I thought, this is almost 1 TB and I installed like 3 games at 100 gb each and a few less than that, looking at the ACTUAL AVAILABLE STORAGE there is 650GB almost HALF of the competition.

There is a 60 some GB buffer for updates that can’t be used, and the ps5 OS takes up a whopping 115 GB, my xbox has 960 GB available out of the box. This means everyone needs to uninstall and reinstall their games all the time to be able to switch between a common sized game library.

Lets look at the controller now, playing the given game Astro World, its a tech demo to show off what the controller can do, its fun for that game only, and you turn off the features in actual games because it drains the battery and its a gimmick not everyone wants.

Now lets talk about physical size. this thing is almost as tall as my gaming desktop, which means carrying this anywhere is going to require a suitcase, not a back pack like the xbox series x can fit into or a pocket like the series S can fit into.

so if you are a stay at home gamer who has no friends who like to play in LAN mode or just in the same room to trash talk and have fun. then this might be for you? then the icing on the cake is the removable panels, the white looks clean, but have you seen the red and black controllers? Playstation is releasing a black headset too, and they are suing all companies making black or other colored side panels.

c’mon playstation. don’t stoop so low, if you want to come out with special edition panels I will buy them, but getting upset with other companies for coming out with black panels upon release just isnt cool because you didn’t think about it first.

All in all the gameplay is almost the same as a pc or the xbox series x but is missing a lot of next gen features that the xbox included (quick resume) if you are so much of a playstation fan that this doesn’t bug you, fine, but so far all the play station fans I’ve lent my xbox to are now selling the PS5 and got themselves a series X.

Cost to performance the PS5 falls very short, cost for Actual storage, the PS5 falls short, if you want to take this with you to a friends or on a trip, this is not the right console for you. If you like a controller to turn your trigger finger into the receiving end of a telegraph machine in the few games its supported, this is for you.

I am hoping for a next gen for this console already with a 1TB SSD and a OS that is UNDER 50GB until then, this console is collecting dust while my xbox is coming with me everywhere and is my go to console.

I added these Control Rings to every drum in my kit. They tame the volume a bit, but more importantly, eliminate unwanted ringing, while preserving the tone of each drum. I’m delighted with the results.

They do offer flexibility: you can add control by also inserting them under the resonator head, or you can reduce the effect by omitting the foam ring and installing only the tray, but I’m happy with the sound given the standard installation.

Game changer. No bs no sugarcoat. Bought the 6 ring variety pack to test which one I liked. Green ring (softest) ALONE, bumped my sens in COD from 11/11 to 17/17. My movement, free aim, and ads on 17/17 feels just as controlled as it did on 11/11.

Tried the purple one, but found it difficult to make quick 360s(even at 20/20). But if you’re already playing on a low sens, purple might be great for you to get to those 13+ sensitivities. Black rings for me, are overkill but once again, if you’re starting at a low sense, black rings can probably help you play on 20/20 comfortably.

Pair these with a high rise thumbstick (fps freek battle royale) and you’re smooth sailing. Don’t put these on your left stick (only needed for aiming). Just gotta see how these last over time, but out the gate, you get what you’re looking for!.

I love ’em, they are a must when it comes to playing COD-CW & WZ!! They allow you to run you controller sensitivity up 3 to 5 notches above what you already run. Just to give you an no understanding I normally run my horizontal settings at 9 and 6 and using the precision ring I play on 12 and 9.

It’s all about being able to snap on target with a quickness and these allow you to run higher without accidentally overshooting your target. In the past I always had an issue with snapping around behind me and over turning too much and missing a shot or 2 which obviously means I’m gonna lose that 1v1 gunbattle if my opponent lands every shot, but now I can snap around faster without overdoing it too much and most of the time my opponents are so surprised I turned around and fired so fast they usually miss landing that **** blow giving me enough time to hit the **** shot! All in all I believe for fps games like COD they are definitely a must have and if you’re skeptical they are at least worth a shot.

Now I will say lastly that if you read this much of my review that you need to ONLY USE 1 RING ON YOUR CONTROLLER FOR YOUR AIMING. There isn’t a need to use it on your left stick bc it’s not pressure sensitive to run or tac sprint.

And if you’re using any variance in your threshold on your in and out then the ring will actually hinder that setup. So my advice is to use the ring on your aiming analog and run the move/sprint ***** as the day you bought it lol.

Hope this helps. I will also be ordering stick adapters so I can see if there is any more value I can receive by combining the two for maximum precision.

People complaining probably didn’t play an entire game let alone 3 or 4 with the rings installed. You have to use them and break them in a little AND increase your sensitivity. Well, you don’t have to increase it but it works so much better when you do.

The idea is to take the ‘slop’ out of your horizontal and vertical so that a hard spin is intentional and not just because you got excited. The cushioning helps by giving tactile feedback as you increase your degree of deflection when pulling or pushing the right stick.

You could use on both sticks, but i find it more helpful to just use it on the right. Using black and it works perfectly for my game. Running 12 on PS5 for horizontal and 9 on vertical.

Bought this controller after the thumbstick on my elite v2 controller started getting wonky and not registering inputs. At first glance this controller seemed like a decent replacement, had back paddles, lockable “hair” triggers, raised thumbsticks, and overall the same feel as a standard Xbox controller.

However, the experience was not as good as the elite V2 controller. One major problem in games such as warzone is that the short reset or “hair” triggers only work for shooting. As soon as you jump in a vehicle and smash the gas, it won’t go anywhere because it thinks your only pressing the gas a quarter of the way down.

I looked on the settings and there is nothing that I found to change this so that a press on it in this setting is 100 percent depressed. It’s fine to say just lock and unlock them when needed, but in fast paced games this is not intuitive at all, especially while your trying to dodge gunfire and make a quick escape.

My next issue is with the paddles. For 1, they seem like they are way to close together and it’s hard to hit the right one. I’m not going to beat up on it to hard for that because I had the same issue with the elite v2.

I don’t like to have fingers on every paddle as it’s not comfortable to me and I use 1 finger on each side to try and tap the paddles and in this configuration it doesn’t work well. The biggest issue with the paddles though is the where they attach.

It is way to easy to hit the back paddle where it attaches on the controller. I have accidentally mele’d in the middle of a fire fight due to this which got me melted like an ice cube in August more times then I can count now.

I have since removed that paddle and just pray I don’t have to mele anyone. Obviously everyone’s hands are different and this may not effect everyone the same. That said, I NEVER had that issue with the Xbox elite v2.

The build quality seems decent and haven’t really had any issues with it in that respect, but overall I’m not happy with the controller as I can’t really use the features I bought it for. My wife ordered me a scuf and the paddles look like they may be in a spot where they are easier to use.

We shall see.

Let me start this off by saying I am a controller snob. I ugrage my own a lot of times. I own both of the overly expensive pro series 1 and 2. Normally I would never buy an off brand controller, but i snagged this on the 15 days of gaming sale because for $31 out the door, so why not? Im very impressed with all you get and the quality.

Now its no pro series 2 but even at normal prices its about half the cost. The paddles have a little play but they work. The trigger stops could be better but they function fine. I love the mag front being able to switch thumbsticks easily i think thats a great idea.

But this is day one. We will see if it starts falling off. But by far the best thing they did was put a quick disconnect in the cord so you dont yank your console or pc or monitor. So if you dont want to spend thw money on a pro but want paddles and stops and differen thumbsticks.

I would rec this. But this is just day one. Ill update if it goes bad.

The faceplates are magnetic and are very easy to switch on and off. I feel like this would be great if you want to paint and customize the faceplate of your controller. The paddles are really simpleto map and re-map.

They feel natural in your hand. It’s also easy to remove any paddles that you aren’t using or to remove the whole paddle unit, if you aren’t interested in using them. The controller has a headphone jack so you can easily hookup your headset.

It also comes with a long charging cable so you can keep playing while your controller charges. The carrying case is also great. It has spots for everything that comes with the controller and seems like it will stand up to being banged around.

This controller comes with 4 thumbsticks. They are also easy to remove and replace, but the options are kind of disappointing. 3 of the 4 have the same texture, but are different heights. The 4th is a smooth, convex thumb-stick.

I wish they had included other colors or textures for these thumb-sticks or that they had additional thumbstick packs that you could buy through PowerA to use with this controller. The most glaring omission for this controller is the lack of rumble.

I don’t know if this is something that Nintendo isn’t allowing in third-party controllers, but I don’t understand why they wouldn’t include it in this controller otherwise. It is also missing the NFC reader, but that isn’t a big deal for me since the console has it’s own reader and it’s something I rarely use.

The FusionA Pro Wireless Controller seemed exciting and promising for me. Particularly because I was hoping the additional buttons on the back that can be RE-mapped as zR/zL buttons which could help reduce hand strain for me to make using the controller more accessible.

However , while testing the controller with a game I like, the L stick was sluggish and did not respond in about 1/2 of the directions pressed including upward. I tried a few obvious remedies : 1) Removing the controller faceplate restored functionality but the controller would still not work with either the white or black faceplate 2) swapping out alternative plastic joystick covers also did not work 3) Nintendo Switch System/Controllers/Calibration application confirmed L stick was compromised and suggested R stick was also very slightly compromised (neither was able to have 100% sensitivity in all joystick positions.

) 4) Fusion A controller is unable to be calibrated , meaning no software fix for the controller. This is especially disappointing since it was unclear ; is the FusionA hardware defective or is the calibration simply off? In either case the controller was unusable.

The controller was picked up at Local Best Buy with box in perfect shape : clearly new and handled by the friendly staff. It seems the controller was simply defective. I plan to return and am unfortunately considering Nintendo brand instead of FusionA given my perception about the quality now.

A few google searches turned up that some individuals had this problem only after owning the controller for a while so maybe I should consider myself lucky that it was defective out of the box.

The overall quality of this controller is beyond the expectations I had. The comfortable grip on the back, the (included) interchangeable faceplate, trigger controls, extremely nice case, are all just incredible quality and make gaming even more fun while using it.

I really like that you can remove the trigger controls on the back, being someone who won’t use them that often, it’s nice to have a normal flat back on the controller. Also having the new white OLED Switch, the white faceplate is a perfect combo.

The buttons feel great, the joysticks are very accurate and I truly couldn’t recommend this controller more. Being wireless and rechargeable without needing separate batteries is amazing as well. It’s worth every penny and more.

If I had to find one thing to gripe about, it’d have to be that I wish the + and – buttons were actually shaped like the symbols as they are on the original joy cons just for easier recognition of the buttons, but otherwise this is an easy 10/10.

I’ve determined that it is functional back to MS Office 2007 and forward to 2016 as well as Open Office 4. 16 and FreeOffice 2018 [GMBH] on two separate Windows 10 systems. I’d guess it will also work on LibreOffice since that and OO are essentially the same program.

The instruction sheet says it is compatible back to Win XP and runs on USB 1. 1 also assuring back-compatibility to older systems. No Mac was available for testing. It operates on a single AAA battery that is not included.

Fits in the hand easily and about half the size of a TV remote, and somewhat larger than a cigarette lighter. Web advertising on this model states 50 ft range but the tiny instruction sheet included says 30 ft (10 m).

My own testing was in shorter distance, and mainly for functionality. I did find the USB receiver unit to be somewhat stiff and hard to insert and remove from my available USB ports. The plastic edges seem slightly oversized.

I may take a small fingernail file to it to see if that helps but that is a task for another day. If concerned add a small external USB expansion port so if something goes awry you loose that and not your computer’s port.

This unit appears to be made in China and the English instruction sheet, in about 4pt text, has some expected translation errors, but you should get by that. In all a no-frills presentation remote. I did not give it 5-Stars since it has yet to pass actual usage needs and has only had tech-oriented testing for functionality, but for the price, a worthy investment.

I am using the Amerteer wireless presenter with a Google Play piece of software called “Teleprompter). The unit was completely Plug-and-Play. It comes with a Wireles USB connection to your PC. You just pop in the battery, plug in the USB and start clicking.

The unit has a dedicated Stop/Start button. A button to restart the presentation from the very begining and also a to buttons for Fast Forward and rewind. The other key item is the spacing of the Buttons themselves.

They are on opposite sides of the remote control and thus make it difficult to press a “wrong” button during a presentation. This allows the presenter to run everything completely by feel. It literally took less than 5 minutes, from unboxing, hook up, training and having the presentr run a full recorded presentation, without any hicups.

I do not know a lot about different presentation systems, but for less than $20 I purchased the softwaer and controller. From my perspective both were amazing investment and more than address our Presentation neeeds (the author of the software recommend the Amerteer Wirelss Presenter for his software and that is why I made the original purchase — I am very happy that I did — if you check YouTube there is a great video about the software and you can also find video of how to build an inexpensive Telepromter — I think I spent another $20 on the material and a good afternoon building the telepromter — there were even cheaper versions of it, but the one I choose to build is a lot sturdier, so again, I am very happy with my choice there as well).

Obviously, the best (and most important) feature is that it has virtually zero-latency. I play a lot of games where timing is everything, so for me, it’s imperative to have something that’s super responsive.

This has made a notable difference in game play over my old controller. It comes with 2 different length sticks to choose from – one set is standard and the other is convex. One really cool feature is the 4 paddle levers that attach to the back, that you can program with specialized moves.

You can use or remove any or all of these as you like, so if you don’t need them on a particular game and want to remove them, you can. Another cool feature is the programmable trigger which allows you to set the throw and range.

It also has an audio jack, so you can use it with a headset if you like. Another nice feature is the soft rubberized grips. I was actually kind of surprised how much more comfortable it was to use (especially for long periods of time) than the traditional Xbox controller and it does work for both Xbox and PC.

Lastly, it comes with 2 different color faceplates (one white, one black) and it all comes with a hard shell case to store it (and all it’s extra parts) in when not in use. Overall, definitely worth getting.

This PowerA FUSION Pro 2 Wired Controller for Xbox is an absolute game changer when it comes to gaming, competitive or otherwise. The paddles on the back of the controller help you keep your fingers on the sticks while programming face buttons (or other inputs) to the back of the controller for easy, clutch access.

For example, not having to take your thumb off the aiming stick to jump or reload with a face button. And the build quality on the PowerA is outstanding – so solid, from the premium-feeling weighty body of the controller to the consistent presses of the buttons and paddles and slick feel of the sticks.

The wire itself is a good length and has break away functionality. This controller importantly has the current-gen capture button! There’s easy access physical audio controls if you plug a headset into the controller.

This controller works perfectly across my Xbox Series X, Xbox Ones and my PC. And the controller is packaged with physical customization options and a sturdy case – you’re set for competitive gaming with this single product.

Bought this bit after I bought the D-ring for another horse. The horse I bought this for has a tendency to drop behind the contact due to his early training as a Western horse. I have a metal bit that he goes pretty well in, but when I saw how well the D-ring worked for my current retraining project I decided to try it on the former Western horse too – and it worked great! The habit of trying to drop behind even the lightest contact has significantly decreased – he reaches well forward and confidently to this bit.

I bought the loose ring for him because his training is much further along (so no steering issues) and this bit is much cheaper than the D-ring. Knocked it one star because it stains easily (grass and carrots).

Used this with a horse that had tongue issues and it has worked great. It can give you a feeling of your arms feeling ‘wooden’ as I have seen online before. My horse felt a bit strong in the reins but for such a short amount of time you need to use this bit (2-3 weeks), it has helped with the tongue issue.

We used this bit in combination with a flash noseband. We have since moved on to a bit that doesn’t place pressure on the tongue.

Have used this on several horses who have had bit issues. Have found most readily accept this bit. Best used without a noseband. a problem horse might try to evade this for awhile. Once they find that hanging a tongue out or opening mouth is a useless endeavor they quickly give up these annoying dangerous and unsightly evasions.

Also great in the hands of green riders as a bar bit is simpler for them to understand. My experience is that a horse will eventually take a light contact with this bit. Remember the correction of this is for tongue faults and not behavior or “headset” issues.
