Calibration process is a little difficult to calibrate clubs and not the greatest accuracy. Course selection is nice with the premium package. All in all good product.

I’m a longtime Hot Shots/Everybody’s Golf fan. This VR version makes good use of the VR tech. I appreciate that they included an option for using the regular controller – I don’t have space to swing a Move controller like a club, and the controls with the controller are fun – you move your controller to the left in a swing path to hit the ball.

Controlling distance isn’t perfect, and this is especially true with putts. But it’s still fun, and a refreshing take on arcade golf and is very pick-up-and-play. Great stuff!.

The game is very straight forward. It is mainly you and your caddie. It is a time killer. You just choose if you would like to practice or play session. You start off with 3 holes and then work your way to open the option to play all 18 holes.

It seem pretty accurate besides the power of your swing when youre using the driver clubs.

Very pick up and play type of game. Easy to learn but difficult to master. Learning curve is very forgiving and lots of fun unlockables keep it interesting.

We gave this to my husband for Christmas! Big hit! Playing in the garage now, but can’t wait for Spring!

For the money, I would give Sky Trak a 4 star review for the actual simulator. It works well with my IOS and has nice graphics. I think it is challenging to align and keep aligned. That said, when it is aligned I find it to be very accurate and it matches my on course distances and shot shapes.

It does not record about 2% of my shots. My biggest issue with Sky Trak is the parent company Sky Golf. They have a very outdated account portal and their accounting practices might be illegal. Sky Trak requires the purchase of e6 software through them instead of directly through Tru Golf, the developer of e6.

The annual contract is $645. Last year, I renewed my contract 1 ½ months early on Sept 7 instead of on the expiration date of 10/23. Last week I went to play on e6 but my account was no longer authorized.

Sky Golf resets annual expiration dates to match the purchase date, even on renewals. So, because I renewed early I lost 1 ½ months of my $645 contract. Sky Golf confirmed this practice when I called to complain.

Furthermore, I learned That if you buy a subscription as a gift, the authorization starts on the purchase date not when the authorization code is applied to the software. Their representative was unwilling to give me a 1 1/2 month credit and stated that its just the way they do things.

Beware, Sky Golf will fleece you of subscription fees at every turn. I give Sky Golf 0 stars on their accounting practices.

I dont know a whole lot about launch monitors, but I did research for a while before I settled on this one. It seems to work great. When I played my first round, I was like what?!? My hits were not going as far as I thought they should.

Then I realized it was calculating more than just my swing. Wind, height, etc was all calculated in, so it is a little more realistic. Heres the catch you should think about prior to purchase. The monitor requires a yearly subscription.

Look it up first prior to buying. Also, the iPad and Mac is not compatible with all uses. If you want certain programs like E6 or golf2019, you will need a computer. I started out thinking I could create a super cheap but precise sim with the skytrak, and I came to the realization that it is not as cheap as I had hoped.

In conclusion, if you want accuracy and dont mind paying out of pocket, this is perfect. If you want cheap and dont care too much about precision, go with optishot. Optishot is super cheap to build sim.

Personally, I want precision and to better my game. If you are the same, go with this. Just be ready to pay. (Unless you only want the range. That comes free) The extra out of pocket is why I gave this a 4 star.

I wish it came with a few courses. If it did, and it was also more compatiblewith Mac, it would have gotten a 5.

The SkyTrak has been really fun and I’ve only really used like 20% of the functionality. I went with the SkyTrak with protective case (must have) and the 9’x9′ Preferred Finished Golf Impact Screen. I can only imagine the premium screen is incredibly nice because the preferred looks and works great.

It can easily fold and roll up. I was concerned that the preferred screen wouldn’t be thick enough to absorb shots well, but not the case at all. Just give the net about a foot or so behind of room to absorb the shot impacts.

The screen also doesn’t make as loud of an impact sound as I expected. Reading reviews for other impact screens, that seemed like a big issue for some. Not the case with the preferred. Doesn’t even really make a sound at all.

Overall very happy with my purchase and can’t wait to spend countless hours in the garage getting better.

I had this game before when my kids were younger & remembered how fun it was to play with them, naturally I was the best for a short while until the kids got so good that I didn’t want to play anymore.

Simply out, I was a sore loser, but we had family fun without all the violence and profanity. I love this game, even though the kids all grown up now, I still remember the “GREAT” times we had!.

My Grandchildren have an earlier version at their home which we have shared for a couple years. This later version has more features including different players, new golf courses, and many other features we are learning as we progress.

This compares very well to earlier versions. I like these games because they are not based on destruction and killing like so many other games. It is a game of competition just like real golf. It teaches about consideration of wind speed and direction, which club to use, what strategy to use when hazard (pond or sand) lies between the player and the green.

When two controllers are used, the person waiting his turn can hit various buttons which say things to harrass or upset the shooter. With children this can get out of hand. I have asked my grandchildren NOT to harass the player as he is teeing off.

We dont need to teach that habit. Overall, I am very happy with this Hot Shotws Fore PlayStation 2 game. Great pastime with some skills that may help in real life.

Both games were very fun for both myself and the kids. Relatively easy to learn and enjoyable for all ages all around great ps2 memories bright back to life!

I love my PSP, but rarely has a golf game on any console captured my attention like Hot Shots on the PSP. I was only slightly familiar about this title, but when I started checking it out further, I knew I had to get it.

If you like REALISTIC golf however, you might not like this one at all and go for Tiger Woods. This game has plenty of depth in ranking and additional equipment. In a way, it’s a bit like an RPG. You get better gear, specialty trick shots, and you have the ability to open up new characters.

It’s great for quick 30 minute games as well as the long stretches where you need to kill time. The game play itself has a bit of your typical “arcadie” feel, but it still uses the standard “3 button press” power bar for your shots.

When specialty shots are earned and then required, it starts to get a bit trickier and with the RPG elements built in, this is where the game really shines. Multiplayer is available in ad-hoc mode. I think you can play tournaments online as well.

I’ve had this title for about 2 months and it’s my current go to game for the PSP. If you want to “kind of” get a general feel for the way this game plays before buying it, try Albatross 18 on the PC.

It’s free to install and play and I strongly suspect that Hot Shots inspired Albatross 18. Hot Shots has been a long standing golf series that has excelled on most systems. The PSP version is no different.

Then if you like it, start looking for Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 for the PSP. That title was just released, so you likely won’t find it for under $30. It’s also known as “Minna no Golf Portable 2” in Japan or “Everybody’s Golf 2” in the UK and AU.

It was sometime late in 2005 when my friend showed me his new toy. a PSP with Hot Shots Golf. He let me play it for a little while, and it was then that I decided. I had to have a PSP to play that addicting game! HSG makes golf video games fun to the normal gamer! I’ve never played any sort of golf game before HSG, and I never thought I would enjoy playing one.

But there’s just a lot of little things which added up to one great game. that kept me coming back to play over and over again. Graphics for this game are bright, colorful, and very aesthetic. This is not your typical Tiger Woods golf game, and it shows.

From the opening video, HSG shows its intent and purpose: to be an extremely fun game to everyone. Courses are detailed, and vary greatly from each other in appearance. Characters have different apparel that they can wear, which players can unlock in different ways.

The sound in HSG is, well. playful. Music is upbeat, and adheres to the overall feel of the game. Sound effects are somewhat limited, although taunting in multiplayer games is hilarious and quite annoying to other people as well, I’m sure.

Gameplay is awesome in HSG! In an almost RPG style, you can unlock harder courses, better skills and equipment, which helps you to beat the harder tournaments and match plays. After awhile, the difficulty of this game gets quite high, and a player may find themselves having to repeat a tournament a few times before winning.

And practice makes perfect, so it’ll take awhile before you become worthy of the harder courses and challenges. In addition to the normal gameplay, there is a putting mode, which you can unlock apparel from.

Also, there are medals that you can receive for different achievements, such as a hole-in-one, or double eagle, or getting all items. These medals are very difficult to get, and allow for even more replayability.

In conclusion. Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee is an awesome game! Now that it’s a greatest hit, and only costs $20, there’s no reason for any type of gamer not to buy this one! Trust me. this one is worth it!.

I bought this game because I wanted a new game to play on my PSP. I own Hot Shots golf 2 and Hot Shots golf Fore and I really enjoyed those games for the playstation 1 and 2. So I knew I had to get the PSP Hot Shots golf game.

Since I recieved the game, I play it whenever I go on trips to the store or when I am at home. Pros One of the things I like about the game is how your characters stats improve the more you use him or her.

I also like how you receive new clubs, clothing, balls, and other items after every tournament. I like the putting challenge mode in the game. It reminds me of the mini-golf in HGS-Fore. Con The only thing I wish the game had was the mini-golf mode.

(AKA put-put golf) It was fun trying to figure out ways to get the 50 points by hitting these insane shots around the put-put courses. If you have played any other HGS game and really enjoyed it then this is a good purchase for the PSP.

I would have given this game 5 stars, except for the lack of the ability to use purchased DLC until you are far into the game. You start with one course, the Highland Country Club, and a choice of two characters, a female and male, Jasmine and Nick, both novices.

As you play and win on various games of with 9 holes in or out, you are awarded a chance to pick one of several ‘cards’, winning the item that is hidden on the reverse side, such as new clubs, a different caddy, various golf balls, etc.

The courses vary by shuffling holes, or changing wind and weather conditions as you progress. Using the same character repeatedly scores you ‘loyalty’ points, that improve various stats of your player or adding additional abilities such as spin, or extra chances to use power shots.

My only gripes with the game are: 1: Purchased DLC such as players and courses are not available until you ‘earn’ them by winning many sets of matches. 2: There is no opportunity for more than one person to have their own ‘save’, while playing as a specific PS3 user.

Overall, this being the current version of the long running franchise, it is worth a play if you can find it at a decent price.

This is the latest installment in Clap Hanz arcade style golf franchise. I have played past releases of this series and found them to be well made and generally a solid value. This most recent offering is no different.

This is the first foray into HD and Clap Hanz doesn’t disappoint. The courses (as usual for the Hot Shots franchise) are somewhat limited in number (5 I believe not including add-on content) but nothing short of amazing in detail and quality.

The gameplay is improved over past releases by now offering a new shot mode that is closer to that of games like Tiger Woods. Being a fan of the franchise I prefer the plain old meter style, but the advanced offers a bonus in distance if you can master it.

The game has plenty of challenges and unlockables to keep you playing, and will take much longer to complete than the FPS style games which seem to only have 12 hour lifespans. This is complemented by a new loyalty system which lets you boost a characters abilities by earning the equivalent of XP.

An ambitious player can tack on quite a bit of gameplay getting all the characters (9 or so in all if I remember correctly) up to level 11. Perhaps the best feature of this new release is the fact that it features online support.

Players are invited online to face off against their peers in official scheduled (roughly every 15 minutes there is a new batch of rounds starting) and player initiated rounds. This adds essentially endless replay value to the game for a player who is hooked on Hot Shots.

The online community is little sparse, but not to the extent of several other FPS games where you can never find a game. My only gripe in the online is that the scheduled rounds often have limitations (only certain characters, courses, or minimum level requirement) such that a newb will struggle to find a game they can join, so expect to do a bit of unlocking before you really sample the online offerings.

There is also downloadable content, from the humdrum skins and additions to your character customization wardrobe to new courses (2 I believe). I may be a bit based, but I have always enjoyed the Hot Shots franchise and this game doesn’t disappoint.

The easy to learn arcade style shooting systems make the game very accessible (I used to play head to head with my parents who can’t master even simple games), but don’t let tat fool you into thinking it’s a cake walk.

The physics and environments are done masterfully. The game represents golf just as it is, the better you get at it, the more complex and challenging the game becomes. This is accented all the more by the increasingly difficult courses players unlock.

It’s hard to convey appropriately without demonstrating, but the combination of wind effects, multiple approaches to each hole (clap hanz likes to incorporate little hidden approaches, and maybe some creative playing) sometimes requiring a higher level character to reach, arcade style “power shots” which add a little extra reach, and “super spin” that can help dodge obstacles or seek out the cup makes the game as complex as you want it.

Beginners will comfortably play a course striving for par, and more experienced players will find better and better ways to lower their score. All in all the new release doesn’t disappoint. This is one of those games you rarely see traded in due to its great replay value.

My old game stopped working. This is an excellent replacement disk. Worked straight out of the box. Quick postage, received early, and good value.

really like this game got it for my son. taking a while to play the game really like that something that is not played and finished in two days. have purchased other games paid way more for them and he was done then wanting something else to play.

ps i like the game my self. only wish they would make more of this kind of games that it takes more time to finish playing. most games at 60. 00 or more most kids can finish in a day or two. then wanting more games.

A wonderful game. I have the first one in the series so it t was easy setting up and getting then this one’s competition. The graphics is better than Hot Shots Golf; I think the game play is easier. Disappointed I am all new courses; there some courses from the first series.

The extra mini game is a blast.

Open tee 2 is an excellent game. Lots of courses that range in difficulty. As you play in challenge mode you can earn many different outfits and accessories to personalize each character. Anyone can play this game whether you like golf or not.

The only thing i don’t like about it is it doesn’t have putt-putt. I have got online a couple of times and i have yet to find anyone playing Hot shots online either. Overall an Excellent game especially if you play golf or enjoy golf video games.

Didnt think Id be too interested in a random golf game, but my girlfriend told me about it and how she played it as a kid. So I bought it for her to play, along with other games. I have to admit its actually really fun.

It has really compelling characters and gameplay, great controls, for a golf game the graphics are surprisingly good and detailed. Overall if youre looking for an older golf game this one should be right up your ally.

If you like golf, this is the best game out there. Now I was a big fan of the Tiger Woods series by EASports, but this by far out does it. The game play and representation of golf blows that away, I don’t mind the comic book characters, so don’t let them turn you off from the game.

Great fan of the game Hot Shots Golf 3. We bought the game during the holidays so that everyone would be entertained. Our last game was lost and since this is a game our whole family loves to be involved in we purchased another.

This game is not only fun to play but the goofy characters, with goofy personalities, make it even more enjoyable. The special effects are simple and not as graphic as some newer games but the game is a favorite in our house.

It is easy enough for even the young golfer to bring in a good score. Great for all ages.

For anyone familiar with the Hot Shots Golf game, which is just about everyone since it is one of PlayStations all-time best sellers, Hot Shots Tennis is the game for you. Using the same formula of ease of play and off beat characters, Hot Shots Tennis can be enjoyed by everyone in your family.

It’s just challenging enough for avid tennis gamers without being too difficult for casual gamers. With various modes like Training, Fun Time (free play), and Hot Shots Challenge to choose from, you can never get bored.

You can play against someone in singles action or take the virtual court together in doubles. Add a multi-tap and have up to 4 people play at the same time. There are a host of characters to choose from, each with their own set of unique attributes and skills.

They even come with a bevy of outfit choices. The graphics are simple and the gameplay is equally so. One might get irritated by some of the characters sayings in between points, but then that is why you have a skip button.

My 11 year-old son and I love playing it together and more so when his cousins or friends come over—it’s that fun to play. A good, clean alternative to the violent shoot ’em up games or morally questionable rpg’s.

As a Hot Shots Golf fan, this game was an obvious must-buy. The gameplay of Hot Shots Tennis really met the expectation I had, and that says a lot since I had great experience with Golf version. Just like the Golf version, it is very easy to learn and start with but still has a depth where you can really hone your skills and get better.

However, where I stumbled upon was the features they had. They have Hot Shots Challenge where you can unlock characters and stuff, and free game areas where you can just play singles or doubles game for one-time fun.

But where is a tournament mode? I don’t expect Grand Slam like other games which I’m all for, but they could’ve put some other options of playing once you’re done unlocking everything. Again, it’s a very very fun game to play, but I just wish there were more enjoyable features that could hold me for a longer time.

(Challenge mode can be completed in about5-6 hours depending on your learning curve. ) Nevertheless, this is a recent title and the second version I’m sure won’t be out soon, so if you like Tennis and liked Hot Shots Golf gameplay, do not hesitate to buy this title.

Hot Shots Tennis’ original Japanese title is Everybody’s Tennis, and it shows. Made by Clap Hanz, the game is easy to pick up and play, but has enough depth so that it won’t tire terribly soon. Unlike most modern tennis games (Virtua Tennis, Mario Tennis), HST’s shot system focuses on timed button presses instead of charged shots.

This can be more realistic and allowing of greater shot placement, but it can be odd that moving to the ball is no different than waiting for it. The visual style is similar to the Hot Shots Golf series, with cute anime-style semi-realistic characters of many flavors.

Hot Shots Tennis has a Challenge Mode (10-15 hours to complete) and a multiplayer mode (offline only). The game can be easy for tennis veterans, but tough or medium for newcomers, though there are no official difficulty settings.

In multiplayer mode, handicaps can be used so that friends can play together, skilled and unskilled players alike. I would recommend Hot Shots Tennis to tennis fans, young children, and arcade-minded gamers.

If, however, you are looking for an in-depth tennis simulator, perhaps you should stay away.

Love this game! Exellent ball dynamics. The multiplayer mode is great for jumping on with the kids for a quick game. The single player game progresses nicely getting a little harder each round and rewarding you regularly with new items, upgraded abilities and new courses.

Its a little ‘cutesie’ but never takes its self to seariously, and having not swung a real club in 20 years i was stunned by play accuracy. Buy it if you like fun and Golf!.

First off I don’t need to pick all items in my golfers wardrobe before I play a round of golf, why can’t I just pick a player and go? In this same realm I also don’t need to have some prefabricated discussion with people on the course before I play a round, I can’t tell you how many times I had to hit the button to get through this nonsense but it took some time.

Another poor thing is I’d hit the ball off to one side or the other from the pin and Varoom here comes the funnel function, that 10 foot miss spins down the virtual drain to the hole, that’s real realistic, NOT! And one more huge annoyance is the other golfers running around you and in front of you before you even hit the ball, is that golf etiquette? On the positive side the graphics are okay and the hitting is pretty easy.

I bought Everybody’s Golf for PS4 a month ago as I was feeling nostalgic about playing golf with my brothers on the PS1 many years ago. The game is great fun, even with all the Japanese quirks. I only play the main campaign mode as I am just a casual gamer and I’m not bothered about the online player options.

Gameplay is not too difficult as long as you can manage the 3-press swing mechanics. There is plenty of customisation on offer to make up your own characters and dress them to your preference. My 8 year old niece enjoys just running around Home, jumping into the water and hiding in the bushes.

Really liking this game so far. It is very cartoonish, but the game play is very good. I can play by myself or join multiplayer matches with my two boys. I think it will only get better the more I play, loads of courses to be unlocked.

It is good fun and challenging too. Not too hard, but will keep you coming back for more.

Have only played it once. It is a well set up game. I’m sure I will have many hours of enjoyment. I’m an older person so nice to have a game to play again.

The Optishot is definitely worth the money I’m sure it isn’t as accurate as a skytrack or trackman but it gets the job done. I had to tape my woods it reads my irons a putter very well. The one thing I had to do is play with club offsets to get the machine to correctly read the shots to my normal swing I added about.

075 more offset and it performed just like my course shots otherwise it was always to open an inside out swing was almost impossible. Calibration is a must with this and pay attention to the 10 degrees and square or it will be wonky.

It has improved my swing tremendously I’m way more square to the ball plus it’s easy to make adjustments to your swing to hard to do on course and for me it has worked wonders. I used to be a slicer bow I’m straight to slight draw.

There are flaws for sure it doesn’t read the ball hit one thing and ya get extra distance and topping the ball gets airborne that will limit distance including hitting fat the results will be better than real life bit you typically know if you don’t hit it well.

I just ordered the upgraded jagman joe turf will update once I’ve tried it I hear it’s a must though. You will most likely have to play with speed and distances as well in set up. There are plenty of courses to play you don’t have to spend another dime after purchase unlike other platforms.

You can upgrade packages extra courses different competition stuff as well of ya like. The long winters in michigan I should be in mid season form to start the year can’t wait.

Don’t expect a skytrak and you’ll be very happy. I had low expectations when purchasing, but picked it up for a cheap way to swing the clubs in the Michigan winters. I live in an apartment with 9ft ceilings and never pictured having a simulator, but I ordered this when I found out you can use foam balls or no balls.

The system basically works by you programming it to what you hit your clubs. If you know your distances and have a consistent swing you can get it dialed in pretty close. It picks up fades/draws and easy/hard swings.

It can get a random crazy slice or a 380 yd drive, but that’s as easy as hitting mulligan. The software was surprisingly responsive and has good practice features. I would definitely say this is not for game improvement due to limited/incorrect feedback, but it’s a blast to play by myself or with buddies.

If you have the money and space for a skytrak I’d recommend that, but for the money there’s nothing even close to this. So if manage your expectations for a $350 simulator and don’t expect it to help you get to the tour, you’ll be happy.

Had OptiShot 1 and got a free upgrade to the #2 software and it made a difference. Not as good as the expensive ones but does give you good indications of what you are doing wrong and what you need to work on.

I like the choice of different types of golf balls so that you do not have to use regular balls. The “nerf” balls work well once programed. You need to tell calibrate the unit to your swing, which I did by going to an indoor range and then running my unit for a comparison.

I did get a good mat with an underlayment that gets the unit at the right level. For the price this is a great device to use at home. Cured my slice along with some Full Swing videos.

Nothing works in this piece of garbage, balls roll up hill, always curve off to the left etc to keep you from sinking the put, one minute youre to fast then you`re to slow then perfect. If you play a major everything goes against you , strength is suddenly gone all your puts curve away from the hole even on flat surfaces, balls land and immediately bounce sideways.

this is a total collection of the worst programming i have ever seen. tiger woods was a great game this should be used as toilet paper.

I swear who ever designed this game has Never played golf or a golf video game! You’re fighting the game constantly, and not in a good way. I’m always asking why did they make it this way, that makes no sense, how come I can’t do what I should be able to do.

This game may have been impressive 10-15 years ago, but for a 2019 game it’s very disappointing and it’s just not fun to play. After deleting this horrible game I actually bought a PS3 Tiger Woods 14 game, and it’s way better, no joke.

After owning every golf game imaginable including all the Tiger Woods versions , this game is a poor facsimile of golf. The inconsistencies with irons and on the green with ball rollout are very bad.

The course designs are gimmicky and Target golf for the most part unless you play the TPC courses which are good. I hope they wrangle a license from the players because we need a solid golf game again.

Love it! The simulator gives great feedback and I’m able to make swing adjustments for better accuracy. It comes along with eveyrthing you need to practice your swing. I would highly recommend this simulator package!.

Really pleased with the GIAB 4 it’s a fantastic golf practice setup with great graphics and shot feedback. I would recommend it to any level golfer wanting to keep swinging in your own home.

Bought it as a gift for my husband who hates rainy days. Good or bad weather, nothing stops him now from getting his daily shots in. Big thank you to the support team who held my hand throughout the process.

I’ve played a few golf videogames in my time and Everybody’s Golf and its sequel on PSX was always the most fun. This PSP version blows those out of the water with more depth and skill required than the cartoonish cover would have you believe.

There are 12 courses, a plethora of selectable and locked characters and a ton of items, different types of clubs and outfits which all have an impact on how your character plays. Aiming your drive down the fairway to bounce off a mountainside or a rooftop to increase distance is very satisfying.

It’s by far the most addictive PSP game I’ve played and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Go golf crazy and take on a cast of colourful characters in the coolest clubhouse around. No need for airs and graces here just select a golfer from a range of friendly faces, and customize their abilities, attributes and appearance before teeing off across a series of challenging courses and game modes.

Go head-to-head with both friends and foes via WiFi compatible Ad Hoc Mode and become a true golfing legend.

My 6year old grandson thinks it is good game very good for the money . He found it hard to start of with but has now got the hang of it. Very good for taking on holiday and in the car .

I have always loved EBG and to play it in VR is absolutely outstanding. Who cares if I slice a shot? The whole experience is mind blowing. A definite recommendation from a real bad golfer. VR is the way forward.

Pros: Fun console, light weight easy to stash in your pocket and take on travels. Charming menu music; very nostalgic, reminiscent of the Wii menu music. Vibrant OLED screen with touch capabilities for the back of the console and front screen.

Innovative touch controls using sliding motions for many games. Front and back camera are decent for their time. Good console to hack. Has various benefits when connected to a PS3 or PS4 consoles such as remote play.

Great collectible console for Song and PlayStation fans. It can connect to wifi for online gaming and purchasing games. Has various types of apps for music, games, videos, and photos. Cons: This particular model does not come with internal memory, so its necessary to buy a 1st party memory card which can be costly.

This model also uses his own type of charger, it cannot be charged using USB etc. Some PS Vita consoles may suffer from a defect in the screen causing black spots (Mura effect) that may be a minor eye sore to some, it is most notable during dark areas in games such as loading screens.

As an older console. it is losing developer support as such Sony has not made many new apps and development of games has slowed, if not stopped.

Before my Nintendo Switch, PlayStation made my favorite handheld console- and yes, that includes the DS family! The PS Vita had the best exclusive games and honestly was a blast for those who love rhythm games.

A couple of games I adored on the system were DanganRonpa, Persona 4, and really any of the Project Diva games. Battery life was amazing, and it was so nice to have some long-term high quality games to play on the go.

If you can still get one, I’d say go for it (if you can find some cartridges since I think they discontinued the store? Still mad my friend lost a hard to find cartridge on me) and have some fun using it paired with your Playstation.

For some reason, the Vita never really caught on in the US, likely because the most prolific genre on the Vita in Japan was visual novels, which is a very niche genre in the US. For that reason, unless you’re really into visual novels and/or JRPGs, the Vita just doesn’t have a whole lot of games.

It does however, let you play a selection of PS4 games remotely(Internet connection required of course). A Very good plus if your Playstation is in one room and your comfy bed is in another. So, if you like niche Japanese games or want to play some of your PS4 games in a handheld format, get a Vita.

I purchased mine as a machine solely to play one nice JRPG and kept it for the added benefit of being able to play Persona 5 from my bed.
