Tired of levels? Bored? Monthly fees getting old? Hate killing 5 more rats to earn a pair of boots? Out of room for your clothing and pet collection? Needing to gather 39 people to earn a sharp stick? Playing in a world of 12 year old potty-mouthed horn dogs? Are mega-guilds, gold farmers and basement people basically living online to out-grind you making it hard to enjoy the game you used to love? If every online game is starting to look alike, maybe you need to try something genuinely new- maybe it’s time to join The Secret World.

Try to imagine a free form MMO that combines magic and ancient mystery cults with modern weapons and story lines. A world where every crazy conspiracy theory is based on a true story, and the truth IS out there to be found.

Need a more adult challenge? This game is intended for adults and mature gamers and is very proud of it. The bad guys are truly awful. The good guys are better, but they are not angels, and in fact shoot at each other (PVP play available).

There are strong references to sex off camera. The game play feels like a good horror movie, and I would suggest not playing it at 2am if you’re twitchy. The tone of language used by the NPCs is very adult, and I would hesitate to hand this to a child under 15 because of it, BUT FOR THESE EXACT SAME REASONS, I’m handing out copies to my friends this Xmas.

It’s a game for grownups, and it makes no apologies for it. Let’s discuss some details. Sick of grinding levels? TSW has none. Sure, gear varies in quality and mobs vary in toughness from region to region, and if you wander out far enough, you will find them slaying you with no effort.

But the game is designed with a story you will actually want to follow, and plot lines lead to other quests in a natural way that will allow you to grow your character, gather that equipment, learn the skills and conquer those monsters when its time.

No levels, no mandatory builds, no limited weapons choices. When you start in one area, you will see quests along the way to follow up on as you deal with that first quest. No heading back over and over to a quest hub or a single guy in a village somewhere.

Pick a major quest, and new quests to investigate are all along that route. You can choose to go back or redo a quest after a day, but you don’t have to. Your skills will develop in response to the challenges you face.

Want to throw spells? Fine. Want an assault rifle to go with that? TSW can do that too. Within limits, characters are more free to experiment with unique builds that any game I’ve ever seen, and this can be a bad thing if you are careless or not thinking about synergies.

Bad builds ARE possible, but you can return to an easier area and earn new skills to fix it. This is a game for thinkers, tinkerers and people who don’t mind making mistakes, and there is a vibrant online community ready to offer help anytime you want it.

You can still just head out and blow up mobs if you really feel like doing it; but now you can also choose to do infiltration missions (sneaking!!) or investigation quests (research, problem solving, Google searches?) as well.

For many people, it will be much easier and less stressful to just go online and look up answers to some quests- the investigation quests in particular can be fiendishly tough. (for example: several answers are in Latin, several take you onto dummy websites set up by the game developers; one involves playing a pipe organ! Success here means something.

I have been a gamer for many many years, and have played all the top MMO’s but I got to tell you, The Secret World is the first ever MMO I have pre-ordered with only playing a few hours of the beta, I enjoyed it so much.

The community was fantastic, the game looks wonderful graphic-wise and the quests are just awesome. You’ve got to use your head a lot, and I love the battle system, if you’re looking to one-shot everything, this is not for you, but instead you can enjoy the fight without missing it.

The music in-game is amazing, but so creepy, I would recommend The Secret World to anyone who is sick to death of the World Of Warcraft clones or the one-shot battle systems. I wouldn’t say this game is slow-paced at all, it’s just not a super-fast battle system.

There are many sites giving away free betas, so go grab a key and give it ago. I do suggest coming back here to order the game, as the price is very decent.

I adore this MMO! 😀 I played the closed beta, but after the beta finished, I didn’t have the funds to continue to play. But as I’ve recently got a new PC, and some Christmas money, I can play it again! 😀 The game is definitely different, it takes a little while to get used to the fact you don’t have levels par sey, you get ability points that allow you to increase the skills of your currently selected weapons, which have almost limitless combinations! For those of you on the hedge, do it, the combat isn’t great and the animation can be wooden at times, but what Funcom have managed to achieve is well worth the one time purchase.

This game dates back to March 2011. Still a good game. I purchased this copy because despite it no longer being a subscription based game, it comes with many free items. What I did find was that while the serial number had never been used, since the game went free to play, I had to open a support ticket to get the bonus items.

This copy came with an experience item up to level 20 and a boost of 5%, plus 30+10 days subscription. The subscription is no longer relevant as it is free to play, but they have introduced something called Patron status, which is basically the equivalent if you want to get bonus items, currency boost etc.

from playing it then Patron status helps. The official forums indicate that you can also get additional bag slots with the item, speaking to the GM I was able to get bag slots and additional soul capacity, unfortunately no free Patron time, but no real loss.

Plenty of DLC in the game which come with additional Patron time and those do stack. The game uses 2 types of currency, 1 is called rex=credits and people can purchase this with real money from the store and or sell it ingame and it can be used to buy some items or unlock some DLC etc.

For myself I enjoy crafting, so been making money off that ingame and then going to use that Platinum I earned ingameto buy Rex ingame, without paying real money. Spamming is not bad, once in a blue moon I get a random spam, so far in 3 weeks of play I have had 1, trying to sell me platinum for real money.

Leeching in dungeons and raids for pugs is a bit of a problem, but the raids are easy and fun and you can get by with active players, after all if the farmers bring too many, they get nothing, so they have to have the right balance.

Overall I am enjoying this game, it’s a blast from the past, played WOW for 7 years and have not played it for 6 years or so, so this is the right balance of I can drop this if I want or play it. I like the way they have combined the servers so there is one auction house shared across all the NA or EU servers, and while people are playing on separate servers (shards) you still group up with them in raids etc.

A very useful feature is also being able to put something in your bank and then use it if you need it for crafting, without first going to go and find it in the bank. There are many evolved improvements in the game, and there been a lot of recent DLC, patches etc.

so it still has good support and new content being released. I should say the game itself is free to download, so you no longer need the copy for the game, but of course with the bonus items you only get that from these original copies.

Rift is part World of Warcraft, part EverQuest 2 and part Warhammer Online. And with its dynamic world invasions constantly spawning, there’s never a dull moment while you quest, group, raid, PvP and craft your way through the world of Telara.

At first glance, RIFT looks like all the other fantasy MMORPGs out there. There are heavy influences from many sources, including WoW, EQ2 and others. Having played these MMOs I can see that the developers have cherry picked the best features from these games for their own.

If that’s all they did however, I would be disappointed. Instead, they used those familiar systems as a base to build two great features into Rift that makes it stand apart from the rest: the dynamic invasions and the flexible class system.

And that’s what separates this title from the rest. The beauty of this game is that it breaks up the monotony of the standard level and gear grind that is common in most MMOs with the rift invasions.

The invasions happen constantly and are great fun to participate in. They scale based on the number of people that are in your group as do the rewards. Plus there is usually a boss mob that requires a full 40 person raid to take down to end the invasion.

Choose your level of involvement and the game will reward you appropriately. The other great feature in Rift is the flexible class system. Once you pick your archetype for your character among the warrior, rogue, cleric and mage options you are introduced to the soul system.

Souls are essentially skill trees focused on unique roles for each archetype. Warriors can pick the Beastmaster soul, for example, to be a pet class or a Mage can choose the Warlock soul to be a debuffer.

Your character can pick three souls to work with out of eight available to each archetype and invest points into each one to get what you want out of them. Trion did a great job of making gameplay fun, immersive and addictive.

This title is a great addition to a genre that no one thought would see another great success since WoW. If you are burnt on your current MMO, I would highly recommend RIFT. If you are new to MMOs, this game a great place to start.

played WoW for the past 5 years and I am pretty much done with it, nothing ever changes in the world other than new instances and armor that takes 1000000 hours to get. Eff that noise. I personally have had enough of the WoW formula, so I gave Rift a shot.

I must say, it has me hooked. The graphics are great, kinda like Aion’s style. Combat is pretty much the same as any MMO, click attack press hotkey to use ability. The quests are your standard quests, kill 5 of this go get this from here, but the major difference in this game, are the Rift segments.

Randomly around the world a Rift will open up in the sky and plop down monsters coming to destroy you and everyone around it. Your job is to go to it and kill everything that comes out of it, closing the rift and earning rewards.

The BEST thing this game did is make it so that if someone is attacking a monster that you need for a quest, if you attack too, it counts! No more waiting for a respawn only to have it ganked again. You automatically join into a “Rift group” when you enter a rift, no queing or invites, you just go have at it.

The Class system is unlike any I’ve ever seen in an MMO. You start off as either Warrior, mage, cleric, or rogue. Then there are 8 sub classes per class you can choose from after earning their “souls”.

You can use 3 at a time to make cool combinations to fit your fighting style. There are also a host of abilities in each subclass and talent trees. Like I said, if anyone’s sick of WoW and wants something just as good, if not better in some areas, then grab Rift.

With a tough start, Yoshi P. really revived this MMORPG with A Realm Reborn. I have played it since launch up until recently because life is just too busy to commit. It really is the best MMORPG I’ve played.

The gameplay is smooth and comfortable. Instance dungeons were a great way to go, especially with the queue system that allows you to go in solo, a partial party, or full. Story has always been a strong point of the Final Fantasy series, and this game is no exception.

It is captivating all the way through. Currently, I believe you can play up to the end of the Heavensward expansion (level 60 content) for free. This alone is impressive and really drives home their confidence that you’ll enjoy it enough to continue.

If you want to just try it out, there is no downside. You get a wonderful game that will take many many hours to get to the pay wall, as well as any friends you’ll make on the way.

Although this game started as a disaster it has been revived to one of the best in the Final Fantasy series. I have played through the entire game to the Endwalker expansion. Each expansion ties together adding important twists and turns.

The characters are unique and have interesting character development. As for the MMO side of the game, the players are welcoming and have a wonderful community. When you finish the main story there are tons of side quests, new jobs/classes, housing, crafting/gathering, and raids to try.

I recently started playing this game and I love it. The replay on this is amazing. You can play so many things one character. Some jobs build from others meaning you start as one and can progress to another once you reach a certain level.

If you decide you don’t like playing a caster, you can go to a trainer and pick up another job. You don’t lose anything you have done already but start a new character with new skills. Professions work the same way and you are not limited to one or two, you can have them all.

Graphics are great and people are super friendly.

Its a well made game. I was coming from BOTW and looking for a good openworld replacement. Sadly this just didnt measure up. Its a good game on its own but I just couldnt get into it. Plus im not a fan of the gore.

Dead babies coming after you and people hanging from trees everywhere you look. With BOTW I found myself looking forward to playing it. This game however not so much. It has a steep learning curve. There are all sorts of potions and stuff you can learn to make but the gameplay doesnt really emphasize it so you end up collecting a bunch of items with no driver to use any of them.

So pretty much you are walking around from one objective to another with a little bit of slashing monsters every so often. I just dont get this game and all the fan fair. Maybe Im just old, out of touch, and missing BOTW.

The Witcher 3, hands down, are the best game I have ever played in my life for various reasons; first and foremost, the brilliant series of Novels this game was built upon, which gave the game the most powerful and dramatic story I’ve ever seen in a video game.

The storytelling was consistent and amazing, with many different characters, amazing plot twists, and a vast world with different races, realms, and creatures that fight and thrive alongside one another and coexist in the most bloody and spiteful way.

Secondly, the gameplay is Awesome and rich, and precisely implemented to exploit the witcher’s abilities and test the players’ approaches and playing styles. Thirdly, the choices and their consequences; this was a brilliant way of approaching the game by basically saying that there’s no moral high ground here; you are a person who has traded.

A traveler who was traveling along the journey and got to make choices that will benefit you or others the most and have to learn and live with your choices’ consequences. I liked that way more than the ultimate good character or the justified villain, Aka the usual approach to videogame stories.

Fourthly, the DLC’s can easily be stand-alone games story-wise. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are too good to be complimentary; the story is marvelous and rich and tragic, which shows us how witcher’s choices can come to haunt them.

Finally, this game is a work of art, and every gamer shouldn’t deprive him/herself of such a wonderful and rich experience.

Incredibly huge game. May be playing this for years until I finish it. Allows you to change the difficulty at any time. I like that it came with the map, pamphlet and all the little extras. The overall storyline is intricate and and the many components of gameplay- alchemy, bestiary, mini-card game, level up system allows for a lot of challenge.

Not to mention the open world for exploration and ease of teleporting. If you’re a fan of Skyrim or Breath of the Wild this is a worthwhile game to check out. If you’re a PC gamer it may be more worthwhile to download the pc version, as the switch has the worst graphics of all the consoles.

But, personally as someone who loves great visuals the game is not unplayable or ugly by any means on the switch. It’s a tad bit thirsty for a game and maybe more male-user orientated, but paired with the graphics these moments end up feeling more hilariously ridiculous, like trying to make your Sims in Sims 2 woohoo in a hot tub.

There is a learning curve, but if you enjoy being immersed in another world then it’s worth it.

I bought Syberia a few days ago because I wanted a really good adventure game to play. I am tired of the amateur search and find type adventure games in the stores like target, and walmart. I only started the game yesterday but I already love it! The graphics are really good, the music is awesome, and the characters are good.

The story is intriguing and I can’t wait to play the game more. The controls are really easy to use and the puzzles are not too difficult. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good adventure game! Syberia is definitely for the adventure lover!.

The graphics are amazing. It takes you into the scenes with such detail. Some of the puzzles to move further into the game are rather difficult. It is not meant for younger children, for some of the actions require several different steps to be taken in different locations.

It is not meant for people who want quick gratification, and takes a lot of patience and attention to detail to do well.

I absolutely loved this game. The setting is beautiful, the music soothing and the story creative and interesting. I was able to figure out most of the game and could look online at UHS-hints. com for help when I got stuck.

I chose this game because I don’t like adventure games where you have to fight anything, or worry about time limits or get “punished” for making mistakes. It was like being in the story and I loved it so much I got Syberia II right here on e-bay, too.

If you have played Dungeon Siege 2 before you will love the expansion Broken World. The combat and spells are enhanced and more complex and there are plenty of new items as well. New classes are available such as Dwarves and Blood Assassins which adds a nice diversity to the species in Aranna.

The new enemies you come across will be sure to suprise you and have some very cool attributes. The expansion also allows you to level up your character further and become even more powerful. Besides the storyline coming to a more satisfying conclusion, the side quests are also a blast and you will find yourself with 15-20 hours of overall new gameplay.

I bought this item on eBay because I was able to get it for twenty percent less than retail. I found it in “New in sealed box” condition, which is very important for a video game (you never know if there’s going to be one little scratch on a used one that prohibits you from playing it on your computer)Broken World is a very good expansion pack to the main game.

Though I don’t like the fact that you had to buy the expansion just to be able to finish the story that began in the main game. All the new features are useful, and the new Dwarf species and character classes are fun to use.

Things that bother me: enhanted item recipes are nice but never worth the expense or effort (i’ve only done this a few times, and I always end up selling it immediately). Pets are stronger than actual characters and with their emanation power it’s a hard decision to drop a pet just to gain a character that never measures up.

Why can’t the secondary ability of the new multiple class character classes gain experience at the same rate as the primary? Though all you have to do is switch between using the primary and secondary once in a while to keep them even.

The story is well thought out and the landscapes are breathtaking as usual. I shall continue buying Dugeon Siege as long as they make new ones.

This is an excellent follow on to Dungeon Siege II. I am still playing this game and have over 50 replays of it which translates into outstanding return on my dollars. Highly recommend this game to anyone who loves to experiment with combinations of tactics and strategies.

By the way I own three copies for my computers and have given at least three as presents!.

I have a lot of issues with the other reviews being not true at all. This game is about a world and three factions. Asmodian, Elyos, and Balaur. In this game you get to be the hero and not someone on the sidelines like in World of Warcraft.

This game is no way related to World of Warcraft. I’ve played both games and the graphics on Aion are superior to WoW and I consider these graphics to beat FFXIV which I played as well. FFXIV Graphics are all right but lack the animation and are laggy and also plain.

In Aion you get to customize your character whichever way you want with options for every part of the body and face. No one will look the same. The customizations for characters are infinite. The gameplay fun and the animations genius.

This game lacks the flaws that FFXIV and WoW have so I do not understand why people would play WoW over Aion. FFXIV is just a failed game and has even been announced so by Square Enix. Aion is graphically beautiful and has a good story.

It’s not like any other MMO. The ability to fly for a limited amount of time and fight. To travel through rifts that appear randomly into enemy territory. You can only play as Asmodian or Elyos. They’re both good guys but just don’t get along and things happened to cause conflict between the two.

The balaurs are the npc faction that are out to get both the Asmodian and Elyos. If you want to play a game where it is decently paced to level, not too fast but not slow. This game is fun and easy to get used to if you played other MMOs.

The chain skills are different and the stigma tree is fun to mess around with. There are different builds for stigma trees and a large amount of abilities by max level. Also the max level can’t one shot monsters or you.

A level 55 will need to hit a level 35 more than once. A level 41 can defeat a level 55, I have seen it happen. It’s about skill. This game is genius. To relate it to WoW is ignorant. Two different companies and gameplay.

I have not seen anything in Aion that resembles WoW. This is an MMORPG so it does contain RPG concepts. I was unaware that the new term for MMOrpgs became WoW. This game is affordable and worth every cent, IMO it is worth more.

This is a solid game and a lot of fun. Most press on this game tends to be focused around its graphics which are really great but to be honest that is just the surface of it. This game is just really fun, plain and simple.

If you’ve played any other the other big games out there like wow, warhammer, lineage, lord of the rings etc you will feel right at home. The first week or two the servers went on-line the game had some major hick-ups as they got the servers and loads balanced but the game has since evened out.

The Aion world is extensive and well done. The client and server software are not buggy at all and NCsoft seems to be adding stuff to the game already constantly. Patching the game is done automatically in the background and does not take long even with large patches.

Servers seem to be populated and balanced well (They control this). Over all the game looks really good and plays even better. It truly is one of the next generation of MMORPGs. If you have played one of the older games like wow, warhammer, starcraft, lotro or guildwars, you will feel pretty comfortable upgrading to Aion.

It really is an upgrade. If you have never played this type of game before, it is a good game to start with as they really made it easy to get into. Aion is subscription based and very well worth the money.

After having spent a few hours playing Aion in Beta (both open and closed), I’d be suprised if I’m still playing this in a year’s time. Sure, it’s pretty, but so far it’s very content poor. Sadly, probably my favourite part of the game so far has been designing my character.

It plays like a poor cousin to WoW, with only two starting areas/races, and many of the quests for those areas are so similar that they are undistinguishable. The classes at low level are also too similar to bother playing more than one or two (Priests wearing mail made my blood boil, but that’s a personal issue I need to work through.

). Sure this might get better at higher levels, but who can be bothered slogging it out through the same starting areas again? In terms of story-line (something WoW got so right, and then so wrong, in my opinion), there’s a thread, but it’s not terribly engaging.

I have very little empathy for my character even at the ripe old age of level 14. The quests are so simple that there’s no real need to group up unless you’re doing instances, and the “locate” function in the quests means you barely have to read what to do anyway.

Fantastic, if all you’re interested in is grinding, but somewhat irritating if you’d prefer some mystery. All in all, I think I’ll probably play this until the new WoW expansion comes out, then go back to the classic.

I used to be in the top 5 streamers in the world for this game from release for a handful of months afterwards. I have over 1K hours just live poured into exploring, nukes, photos and trying so hard to love each glitch or bug.

No more. Fallout is one of my favorite game series! I’ve played every single one. I own fallout merch up and down. I LIVE EAT BREATHE the wastelands – this isn’t it. I own this game on both console PC.

I spent a year trying to make excuses for why it was okay everything was broken, why we’d been lied to over and over, or why the game was virtually unplayable 40% of the time after patches. I would bounce back and forth between console and PC, laugh things off and hope they’d get better, I was doing interviews on podcasts instead talking about characters or the future patch notes.

This game is a disaster. Anything they promise is a joke or lie covered up by a broken mess Or microtransaction. Their customer support is unresponsive. The game STILL doesn’t work, and their response to this was a subscription program for double the amount of the initial overpriced game a year? When their tag line motto is a meme of “it just works” as an excuse for why NOTHING does? You know it’s bad.

Each time I try to log back in nothing has changed. It’s a broken glitchy mess that doesn’t even feel like a fallout game anymore. Instead of fixing their content – they added subscription paid vinyl optional flooring for your bases and spotless pianos or curtains.

Folks bases don’t even look like a wasteland anymore – it’s sims. The only people who can play are paying $100/yr for extra “stash space” on top of their $60 game. Not worth it. Save your money. Yikes.

This is really great game. Game play is really good. I love games like this before you have more freedom to choose what character you want to be good or bad. And with hundreds of places to go, including thousands of weapons and items to choose from.

Nothing you can asked for. Great graphics as well with 4 GB graphic card Ndivia GTX 1050ti I’m using on my gaming PC plays like a charm. Great hd sounds from the graphic card as well. But you might have some issue for installing this game.

Xlive. dll files are not included with game which is surprising to me. You must go online install Windows live to get the Xlive. dll file to game to play with your PC. Which I did not get with the disc.

That’s the only catch. Other than that it’s play well with best OS Top of the line in the market Windows 10 Enterprise software version 1903. I can’t wait to get the fallout 76 I’m a big fan of fallout games.

I highly recommend this game if looking for survival gaming.

Best game of the year. One of my favorite games. The replay value is unstoppable. I wouldn’t improve it best as is. Definitely enjoyable to play. Many of hours of fun. Definitely recommend this game to others.

Fallout games are amazing.

Doom 2016 on PS4 was an exercise in patience. The load times were pretty atrocious. They would’ve been acceptable if they only appeared on level load, but dying and reloading would also put you through that lengthy loading screen.

Doom Eternal fixes this issue with the Lives system. Though it does take away from the challenge, it provides a much less frustrating experience. This, combined with more movement and traversal options, helps make for a faster-paced shooter game.

The combat is pretty cleverly designed. When the player is low on health, they can freeze enemies. When they are low on armor, they can burn enemies. And when they are low on ammo, they can chainsaw enemies.

Enemies themselves become resources. The enemy variety lends to natural incentive to use each and every weapon as well. There are 2 mods for each weapon that change how that weapon functions. I myself found a favorite mod for each weapon and never really switched it up but I never felt like I was lacking in combat options.

Altogether these systems keep combat engaging from start to finish. Exploration is worthwhile, providing you with upgrade points, keys, and collectibles. Obtaining all collectibles is made easier with a map that’s broken up into sections and a count of collectibles in each section.

Once you reach the end of a level, you can freely warp from section to section. Story isn’t normally a highlight for the series, and here it’s not much more than save mankind from being overrun by demons.

But it does lead to some grand setpieces and bossfights.

“DOOM Eternal” is a game that I couldn’t put down. With the gory and satisfying gameplay, to the incredible visuals, this is an experience that every gamer should participate in. There are a lot of collectibles in this game, as well as easter eggs that beg to be discovered.

Also, the environments in this game are gigantic and I appreciated the amount of exploration. The only criticism that I have is about the story. I appreciate them trying to put in a better narrative, but a lot of it became forgettable over time.

Plus, it doesn’t help that a lot of the backstory that is vital to understanding the past is given to you via documents, and I would’ve loved to have seen more cutscenes showing the previous years of the DOOM Slayer (maybe the events we read about in the game can be in a prequel).

I don’t mind reading documents in games (this is coming from someone that read EVERY email in “Death Stranding”), but cutscenes would’ve emphasized important events better. Essentially, this is a fantastic game with amazing gameplay, visuals, and is a lot of fun.

I just think that the story needs some more work.

It’s definitely a labor of love. If you’re like me, you’ll probably be a bit put off by the story. But eventually it grew on me. It’s not as invasive as I believed it to be, and there’s plenty of references to the original Doom games anyway, so while it doesn’t always connect perfectly to them, it’ll feel familiar enough.

But all that aside, it’s still well worth playing through the entire campaign just for the game alone, even if you happen to not dig the story as much. It really might be one of the best FPS, if not the best FPS of the last decade, even better than Doom 2016 in terms of gameplay, challenge and level design.

I say get it!.

Oh boy, a classic reborn. Wolfenstein: The New Order is a great FPS, a reboot of the cult Wolfenstein franchise. If you haven’t played it already, DO IT. What would you expect from a reboot of Wolfenstein? A lot of Nazi-killing action, obviously.

Does this game have it? Hell yes, and on top of the superb action, it has a well written, moving story. The game follows a linear course of 16 chapters, with collectibles such as Enigma Codes, Gold Figures or Letters scattered all over the maps.

The gunplay is surprisingly good, with the abiltiy to dual wield most weapons and each weapon having two alternate fire modes (for instance, the Assault Rifle has an alternate mode using the rocket launcher mounted under its barrel, the Automatic Shotgun has an alternate mode of semi-automatic shrapnel pellets, etc.

). There’s also a special weapon acquired during the story, which has a lot of useful upgrades found along the way – some are pretty sneaky! The story focuses on a resistance fighting against a technologically advanced Nazi regime, which came to dominate the world in this timeline.

There are various locations (from a high-security prison, to underground catacombs, to a concentration camp, to even the Moon!), all with their own quirks and challenges. Many sections offer a choice of gameplay – you can go in guns-blazing and shoot everyone dead in huge firefights, or you can go in quietly, stealthily eliminating Nazis as you go, with the game accomodating such tactics by the inclusion of silenced weapons and knife throwing.

The soundtrack was made by Mick Gordon, the mastermind behind the soundtracks of DOOM2016, DOOM Eternal and alter Wolfenstein entries. The action pieces are heavy-hitting and tense, while the calmer pieces are usually moving and emotional to the brim.

It’s one of the best ones out there. The graphics, while a bit aged, are still amazing due to the artstyle of this game. If you’re willing to ignore a few low-res textures here and there, the rest holds up pretty well even today! To conclude: Wolfenstein: The New Order is amazing.

Just go play it.

I won’t go into things very in depth as there have been numerous professional reviews in the last couple of years since Wolfenstein released. I will say that this is easily far and away my very favorite entry in the series.

The alternate history science fiction approach is a perfect fit and for the first time, this series has a substantial narrative aspect. The wide assortment of weaponry at your disposal is impressive and using them in various creative ways leads to some gratifying kills.

There are times when a stealthy approach is preferable and it’s a blast to pull that off. It doesn’t feel aggravating or tedious like it does in many other games use of a stealth mechanic. Of course if you blow it or just prefer head on carnage, the player isn’t penalized for it or forced to reload the last checkpoint.

You may find that you’ve bitten off more than you can chew though! Firefights are hectic and crazy fun. I should point out that Wolfenstein has no multi-player content. For me, that wasn’t a big deal.

The single player campaign is all kinds of fun and the bargain price you can find this for by now makes picking it up a no-brainer.

I’m 30, so the name Wolfenstein is something that makes my memory draw images in my head. Good old shooter days – Wolfenstein, Doom, Heretic, Quake and so on were the games we all played and loved. So, I’m delighted to say that the new Wolfenstein is kind of an old school 1st person shooter where you feel like a real badass if you learn to be quick.

But this game is so much more than just running around and shooting like crazy. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many stealth sections (I just love stealth). During most of those you can get detected, so fear not if you hate stealth – you can ignore the crawling part almost completely.

The gameplay is really solid and interesting in Wolfenstein. I don’t have a chance to play often, but somehow managed to find time to play Wolfenstein daily until I beat it. I even beat it 2 times in a row (something I haven’t done in at least 10 years) where the 2nd run was on its top difficulty (which wasn’t too bad).

Even got the Platinum trophy I don’t care about. Sure there are some issues – the only one for me was the AI in stealth sections. There can be 2-3 enemies standing almost next to each other and you would still be able to kill them one-by-one without others noticing.

This might have been done on purpose but I’m not sure. In any case I loved the game and immediately pre-ordered The Old Blood the moment it was announced. I’m pretty-sure that most older players will love it.

I, an avid gamer, have played over 150 hours of this game. It has something for everyone. Like shooting people? You can play that. Like building stuff? The Workshop feature allows you to build various items in areas.

The game has varying difficulty levels, ranging from very easy (way too easy) to survival. (incredibly hard) However, I would much rather buy the Game Of The Year Edition, as that comes with all 6 DLC’s.

I also enjoyed the DLC’s, although short. So, in summary, this game recieves a 9/10 from me. The characters are enjoyable, dialouge is well written, and the story is fun. However, don’t buy this one, as the Game Of The Year edition comes with all DLC’s.

If your budget is $20, then get this one.

Bethesda allow MODS for their games, which blows them wide open; play without, then add a MOD or two for a second play through. Don’t expect to be done with the game in 30 hours, this is more like 30 weeks.

I have come across the series quite late as I’ve been busy with other titles, and I can’t see that I’ll be done with this one and trying Fallout 3 before the end of the year. This is a fighting and building game and not only do you follow quests, you can upgrade weapons, armour and craft chemical based ‘potions’, throwables and mines.

I’ve not used a chemistry station yet, as everything can be found in the world. The power suit is available early on and a few can be found just waiting to be claimed – though the fusion cores to power it aren’t prolific.

Building settlements can be a bit samey, so I try to use different materials and layouts, colour themes, etc but what works is usually repeated. Google for any advice on MODS, and GOTY has selected ones so you can start right away if you choose.

The Fallout franchise goes back to the old text based 3rd person action game days. It really took off in popularity when Bethesda took over the project and introduced Fallout 3 as a 1st person shooter with great improvements to richly textured, open-world playing map that allowed you to go and do whatever you wanted and not have to strictly follow a scripted game.

You had a choice of character types to build from a good-guy melee fighter to a bad-girl sniper. There were various factions you could ally with or fight against and a post-atomic war wasteland full of mutated creatures to fight.

Whereas Fallout 3 was set in Washington DC, Fallout 4 is set in the Boston area. The graphics are even better, with textures and scenery that are amazing. The city scape is a maze of crumbled buildings with winding streets that are densely packed with a new challenge around every corner.

There are new factions added to the old and a new story line to investigate from Vault 111 where you awaken to find your child has been taken and it’s up to you to venture out and find him in a destroyed and dangerous world.

But, before you do, there is another feature to the game. You can also use workshops to build structures, furnishings, defenses, water and food resources to create safe settlements for people to inhabit and earn money for you.

You can craft better versions of the guns, melee weapons, and armor that you find. You can craft useful chemicals and medicine to heal yourself or companions who join you in taming the wasteland. Beside the basic, main quest, you will constantly find side-quests to assist other groups along the way and be sent on missions where you will find specialty “legendary” items that benefit you in your future battles.

There is a huge following to the game with a presence on social media sites including full walkthough gameplay videos on Youtube. The game is available for PC, XBox One, and Playstation 4. The PC version requires a high-end fast gaming PC that can be more expensive than the game consoles but at the top end can outperform them.

It would also require a large amount of memory and an expensive video card, but you can enter “console commands” via keyboard to interact with the game the way the developers do in creating special items or unlocking items that would normally be out of your current level of difficulty.

The gameplay on the consoles is very good with graphics set to less than extremely high settings. The game is a mix of shooter and role-playing games. It offers a little of both worlds in visually stunning and entertaining way.

It isa hugely popular game for a reason, it is pure fun and well worth the money.

Remember me never got the attention it deserved. It was released later in the console’s life and a lot of reviewers didn’t like it. In general, I think its an Ok game that got unjustly trashed. This game has a futuristic setting where people can alter memories.

Your character, who lost theirs, is blindly following the resistance. The game plays like a beat-em-up’ similar to the batman arkham games, but in here your abilities and health are boosted depending on the combos you use.

Some combos fill your health, others cause more damage, others give you more stamina etc. apart from that, the game has a lot of climbing and platform sections to enjoy. Not an amazing game, but definitely a game you should own.

This Dystopian Future title sadly got forgotten. This title is more than you’d expect from a linear game. The slight bit of exploration and collectibles makes it fairly good. Honestly though it’s the arcade like “combo system” is what keeps the game entertaining.

Once the controls are mastered combat flows very well. Nilin is an Errorist and she has an ability that allows you to “remixing memories” as well. Which really made this game stand out for me. I wish this game had more levels and story to give us.

But sadly the developer has given up on ever returning to this very cool and original idea.

Remember Me comes off as one of those under the radar games. It didnt get much fanfare and I see it disappearing into obscurity in the near future, if it already hasnt. After playing through it, the lack of fanfare seemed a little justified.

Overall, it is an average game with a few unique elements that it fails to capitalize on. Remember Me is pretty average graphically. Some of the levels look nice, but overall the levels tend to blend in together into a generic futuristic setting.

The main characters model is nice to look at, mostly because of the form fitting outfit, but the enemies lack any variety. There are about 4 main enemy types. The Leapers are the most numerous and the most bland.

The others arent much better. The music provides the right ambience, but is your run-of-the-mill futuristic, techno that tends to accompany games with similar settings. Voice acting is adequate, but nothing too special.

The game play attempts to add some variety and uniqueness, but ultimately falls flat. The platforming elements are by-the-book. Mostly climbing up ledges and jumping from one ledge to another. The game does have an indicator of what ledges can be used, which is nice since it can be hard to tell where to go.

There are a few puzzle elements that are pretty standard, but wont cause too much confusion. There was an attempt to make the fighting system more dynamic that it really is. You basically can customize your combos, which sounds like an awesome idea, but the system is too restrictive to make it more than a novelty.

It has some use, but it feels like a nuisance instead of an enhancement to the game play. The most unique element is the ability to remix memories. You are basically changing a persons memory to change their behavior.

It is a nice touch, but is underutilized and is mostly a process of trial and error. Remember Me ironically probably wont be remembered by many gamers. It is not a terrible game by any means. It is playable and kept me interested long enough to play it through.

Unfortunately, I am not a typical gamer who probably wont have the patience to stay engaged through the game. If you are like me, then Remember Me is worth at least a play through.

I have played Overwatch before on other consoles and the Nintendo Switch version still runs and looks completely fine to me. I have never felt like the game wasn’t playable or was severely lacking in graphics while playing for over 65 hours.

It is a very fun shooter that is addicting and updated frequently so there isn’t a lack of content in the game. It is also very nice that the physical version came with a Nintendo Switch online membership as you need it to play the game.

If yours expires though Nintendo Switch online is very cheap and very worth it. One thing to know though is that the game is digital only and this is not a physical cartridge in the case. You need to download the game using the code they give you in it.

I would highly recommend this game as it is hours of fun!.

This is bar none the most over hyped game I have ever played. Not only is it over hyped, but due to it being a Blizzard title, it has unfairly garnered many positive reviews without warrant. The balance in the game is atrocious.

99% of games contain some combination of dual Torbjorn or dual Bastion, the two most broken characters I have ever seen in a video game, and unless your team has a Reinhardt (because the other “tanks” are extremely ineffective) you are almost guaranteed a loss because you will not be able to push to objective.

In addition, you have characters like Mcree running around who have ultimate abilities that automatically lock on and instantly kill however many players are currently on the screen. There is no skill in this game, and the characters that do require skill to be played well are rarely chosen.

But why would you, when you can play a character whose auto-attack is to shoot rockets that deal area of affect damage. As long as she hits the ground next to you, she can kill you. I recommend spending your $40-60 elsewhere, ESPECIALLY if you are planning on playing solo.

It is NOT worth it. There is not even a ranked mode implemented yet. There are 4 or 5 maps total, and they are very small. You don’t get to choose which game mode you play. Most game modes are rigged to allow the defending team to completely annihilate the attacking team.

Opposing teams stack the most overpowered characters, because for some reason that is allowed. I literally cannot believe this game made it out of Beta in its current condition. In addition, since it is a Blizzard title, you can bet your money that balance patches will take a very long time to come out, and when they do, the characters you think need nerfing will almost certainly get buffed.

Did I mention the servers only have a tickrate of 20? That means when that sniper shoots at you from across the map, even if he doesn’t come close to hitting you, it will probably count as a headshot.

The original Company Of Heroes was a good game. It developed it’s own take on the RTS genre and added features such as cover, self aware squads and less of a focus on base building and more on the control and orders given to the individual units.

Company Of Heroes: Opposing fronts takes all of these features but you can experience them with two new factions, The British and the Panzer Elite. This game is not an expansion in the traditional sense in that it doesn’t require the original to play yet doesn’t split the player base up by still letting you play against people who own the original.

The gameplay is exactly the same as the first but with the new added units which differ so much from the old ones and provide new and challenging situations when fighting the old factions. Each faction has their own, well crafted campaign to introduce you to the many new units and the tactics which they involve, such as British commando units dropping behind enemy lines in gliders to reek havoc on your opponents front lines.

Or try commanding the Panzer Elites’ invincible Jagdpanther and charge right into your opponents base. The story didn’t particularly appeal to me as typically i don’t play RTS games for their engaging plot Each faction has 3 new doctrines which allows for many interesting strategies.

These can be developed and taken online to play against people in the Relic match making system with ranks for how well you fair. This adds that sense of progress and level ups which so many gamers find addictive and is common in many games these days.

The multiplayer is very well balanced and constantly being updated to keep the gameplay fun and interesting. What is most notable about the Mutiplayer/skirmish modes is it’s depth. It is still possible to win against say the computer or a beginner opponent by building a mass of units and charging into the base.

At higher levels the gameplay becomes much more balanced and requries careful focus on recon, knowing what your enemy is planning, resource denial, cover, suppression, artillery support and many tactical moves become not only possible but necessary.

Overall a fun, yet incredibly deep strategy in which newcomers and fans should defiantly pick up. Not recommended for younger gamers.

Relic have indeed carved a name for themselves into the halls of gaming when it comes to RTS and this expansion underlines that point. The British and German forces have excellent campaigns and some exciting units.

Skirmish maps are great fun and can make for some intense warfare. If only Relic could get their patching sorted, be prepared for a world of pain. There are 7 patches and all them huge, sequential and essential if you want to play online.

I had no joy in patching and so disconnect from the net to load up my game. otherwise you get returned to windows! A bizzare and shocking system designed to beat the pirates. However the customer suffers! Amazing game.

This stand alone expansion of the original Company of Heroes, is another Great Hit. It is amazingly fun to play and addicting. It also solved a lot of the issues from the Origional COH ( company of heroes ).

Some of the examples of the issues solved will be, unable to click on the unit you wanted to click on ,units doesn’t excute command and plenty other crazy bugs due to the poor coding. All that is solved in the expansion! However, there are still some minor bugs but i have have faith in Relic that they will be fixed.

One of the horriable experience i had as a open beta tester but the constantly crash bug. But, hopefully it is fixed in the official game. After trying the game. This game have serious compatibility problem with WINDOW VISTA.

AI is still retarded. For example, if you select more than 1 tanks and tell him to go to the same destination. They would run into each others and get stuck!! Infantry still has a little problem with wiring, Deploying motar, MG and etc.

I am not going to describe what the game is like because if you just read a little description from ign. com or fileplanet. com. you will get the image of what it is like ! This is a very fun game to play after all because if you are looking to have fun and get happy.

This is most likely not the game for you because all the bugs and glitchs will piss you off ! very badly!.

I have never played a Sims game prior to this one. This was a very different type of game than I am used to playing so the learning curve was pretty big for me. I had almost no idea what to do when I started playing and unlike most games I’ve played, there were little instructions or directions.

I ended up restarting a few times once I learned how to play to get the best experience. I do like that you can design a variety of different character types and personalities. And you can do so many different things in the game.

If you’ve played The Sims before, this should be an easy upgrade for you. The gameplay is smooth, loading is quick, and the NPCs are all interesting. There are plenty of options for homes, clothes, and items.

Once you’ve played though as far as you want, start over with new and creative characters and do it again.

If you like simulation games this is the game for you. Ive been playing sims since the first sims game came out!!!! Its so addicting and fun creating a world that can be your own utopia. or distopia 🤣😈 Theres so many versatile scenarios that make it fun and interesting everytime.

I do think they charge too much considering its been the same sequences of games through each sims generation however each new pack or kit they come out with has its own unique features and games that make it worth your while.

I own close to every game, pack and kit and its worth it in my opinion!!! I also appreciate how they allow you to play and download games now without disks. It makes downloading games so much easier and more user friendly.

I think I’m going to play now 🤪.

I’ve been Simming since the beginning. I have seen many variations of this amazing franchise. I will say, this isn’t my favorite incarnation but it is pretty awe-inspiring. The one downside I have to mention is we are not able to customize our color palettes like we could in The sims 3.

I miss that ability the most. However, I can say that The Sims 4 is absolutely worth every cent. It provides a constantly changing game. I never tire of it because there is always something new to do.

EA does a great job of adding new content pretty regularly which is exciting for us old timers. I highly recommend.

ESO is my favorite game ever. I have been playing since 2015 and have well over 1,000 hours logged on it, but there is still probably a few thousand more hours worth of content I haven’t discovered yet.

Some games feel like a chore after a long time playing, but not ESO. I could wander the beautiful and immersive lands of Tamriel for a thousand years and never get bored. And because it’s an MMO you can meet new people and make friends for real.

Lots of MMOs have really toxic players, and ESO has it’s problem players, but the average player is there to have a good time and be helpful to other players. The experience I had that made me fall in love with this game happened when I was a total noob, only level 8.

I was having trouble being attacked by difficult bosses, and a high level player came over and helped me and then crafted me a custom set of armor and helped me get back to the quest area. I’ve also made lots of friends in guilds.

In short, this game is awesome. It’s also beautiful. These are all screenshots I took.

Not my favorite out the Elder Scrolls I felt this game could have been developed and put together slightly better. It was a pretty blan game. The gameplay was kind of wonky. I loved Oblivion and Skyrim this one is kind of disappointing in my opinion compared to the others.

If you’re a fan of the series it’s worth the play or just to collect. I personally wouldn’t recommend or play it again. Everyone has different taste though!.

When Elder Scrolls Online launched, it was met with some mixed reviews- some enjoyed it, others didn’t, and some fans of the series of single-player games wanted to like it, but just couldn’t. Others, like myself, held off for quite some time as the developers worked with feedback from the rabid fan base to make ESO become the game people wanted.

And, I’m happy to report, with the changes they made, it’s quite good! With the exception of ESO, all my previous Elder Scrolls experience has come from the PC- and, while I own every game in the series, (thanks to ESAnthology, which includes the original first 2 DOS-based games, plus all the add-on content for the games.

Shameless plug for Best Buy sales; if you’re a fan of the series and have not purchased this AMAZING box set, complete with every game, every official DLC, maps, and a gorgeous case, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not checking to see if Best Buy has it in-stock, one of my MANY great purchases from my local BB.

Just look it up AFTER this review, and a “helpful” vote! LOL!) Back to ESO. While I’m a fan of the series, and of open-world games, as well as MMORPGs, I’ll give you this caveat. I’m not part of the fan base that can tell you the entire myth of Elder Scrolls, and while I buy just about every open-world game that hits the market, I rarely finish them (ES series included,) at some point, it’s just TOO much to do, and I need something fresh to play.

That said, I LOVE & have gotten to much of end-content (at least story-wise) from MMORPGs, mostly because I play those that friends join in on. WoW, Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, etc. , have always become addictions for some time now, BUT due to some health issues, gaming on the PC hasn’t been happening.

So, while I’ve been recovering over the past two years, I’ve been looking for my MMORPG fix on PS4. I began with the excellent The Division. But, it’s updates began causing issues, so I picked up ESO on sale, and between my discount through the Gamer’s Club and Reward Zone certificates, I paid a whopping $6.

The original sale price of $20 would have been a bargain, but $6 was a steal! Now, the game has been out for some time, so the downside is that a majority of players in the game are veterans, and have seen most of the game, so you’ll be among the few “ground floor” players.

But, the flipside to this is you aren’t dealing with many of the updates they used to get the game where it is today. One of my fears heading into ESO was how a game that’s always been best played on a PC would translate to a PS4 controller.

They managed to do it wonderfully, and it will make me consider playing any future games on the console. While the mythology of ESO will be more familiar to those more “into” the games, it takes place long before the popular Oblivian, but I’d be hard-pressed to tell you that the world looks much different.

The races and classes are all familiar, although the classes are limited (but malleable to fit your style, regardless of how you start). One of my favorite areas of the Elder Scrolls series has been how the classes can ultimately change based on how you play.

Skills, spells, weapons all level based on your use of them. That favorite system remains in place in ESO. In summary, if you’ve enjoyed the rest of the series, there’s no reason to avoid ESO any longer.

No monthly subscription, (although one is available that offers exclusive currency that can be used to purchase DLC and cosmetic items such as mounts. However, you can also buy these “crowns” in one-time buys should just one or two items catch your interest,) solid, familiar systems and gameplay, and an excellently ported control scheme that takes full advantage of the PS4 controller without it seeming like a second thought.

Go visit Tamriel, you’ll love it!.

I played PS4 version. Waited almost a decade for Square ENIX to get out of its development hell stage to complete this game but I’m so glad they somewhat finished it. A part of me felt a sense of loss when this project changed drastically but I’m very grateful that they involved their fan base along with the changes that FFXV went with.

Some of the changes were obviously because of fear of PR issues, and kind of weird with the in-game sponsorship but the story of brotherhood and the protaganist’s journey was such a ride, I’d join this road trip again with the characters.

Very happy they still kept some traditional elements like the chocobos birds but a bit annoying with the amount of DLCs they made afterwards. As the game industry was changing and the technology to accompany the typical FF graphics, I can see that FFXV took too much money out of the company so they had to rake in the revenue somehow.

Definitely one of the most legendary titles in the company’s legacy, and a bit concerning that I spend most of my life watching the business/Game expo presentations on this title, but what a ride it’s been.

Please consider playing if you wanted to try a Final Fantasy game or just learn what it takes to launch a product like a game into a crazy demanding but dedicated market.

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition is good. The game is a lot of fun, with an enjoyable world and fun combat. On the latter, while it took some getting used to, the combat eventually clicked and was a lot of fun.

This game’s main four characters are a ton of fun and have a lot of great banter on their journey. This game’s environments are beautiful, which is crucial when you spend a lot of time driving from place to place.

The DLC is also fun, with the three lates ones adding some important story and character building. The first one adds some of the latter to a lesser extent. Overall, Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition is good, and if you like open world games, action RPGs, and/or Final Fantasy, then you should play this one.

Final Fantasy XV is targeted to newer audiences of the franchise who have little to no experience with Final Fantasy. The game, in my opinion is okay but it was severely lacking in story. To get everything, one need to watch the Kingsglaive movie, the animated series, buy all DLC, and purchase a book.

For me, this was tedious and extremely annoying. I would rather wait longer for game, if it meant that all of the story pieces were together. However, it all came down to funding which essentially killed this game.

This version of Final Fantasy XV contains most of the extra DLC content that was added after release, particularly Episodes Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis, as well as expanded content at the end of the game.

This is the best way to enjoy FF15 for sure. My only complaint is that the DLC content does not come on the disc despite being a Royal Edition disc. There is a redeemable code inside the box to claim the included DLC.

This game does not include Episode: Ardyn and that will need to be purchased separately. Overall I would recommend this version of FF15 for sure over the Day 1 release. You will have a better experience between the DLCs and all the content that was patched in over the support life of the game!.

I played this game for 3 months. I visited every single place to explore, completed the main quests and the secondary ones, i found everything and I’m still playing with it! Nevertheless, despite the exceptional technical sector, the beautiful graphics, the music always apt (but sometimes too repetitive), the story.

there is always something that doesn’t come back to me. I speak as an admirer of the series, as a person who had the opportunity to play FFVII when I was a teenager. OK, it is not comparable to old episodes, but I found funny and interesting the new game mechanisms.

What does not come back to me and leave me perplexed is the plot. There are strange ways to tell the facts, the chapters too fast, others perhaps strange. Other events are only hinted between the various interminable loadings.

The open word is huge, but too much bound to the main realm, where however you are not free to move in every single corner of the map. The rest of the world map is then barely touched and explored by train during the last chapters and there is no way to go back.

I will not go further to avoid spoilers, but the fact remains that despite having built a huge universe for this game, too many things have left me perplexed and even with a bitter taste. In my opinion, however, remains an enjoyable game, pleasant, full of secrets and long enough for those who, like me, love to search, explore and enhance the characters.

It is certainly not easy to put everything together and get a product of excellent quality that satisfies all tastes. This is the reason why the mine is still a positive judgment, even if I would have preferred less stupid and ridiculous secondary missions in favor of a thicker plot, much longer and perhaps better studied to be able to better focus on the real emotional aspects of characters.

Fantastic game , lots of content, and very fun to play. The community is super nice and very eager to help new players. COST Right now the first month is free and I got my character very high level and made it through the whole first game and into the second expansion a decent way.

After that it’s $15/month. The only down side is the month cost to play but it’s understandable. You could play without spending any extra money (besides the monthly fee) and be perfectly fine because the game provides you with great armor, weapons, and other gear.

Anything you’d buy online with real money would be completely cosmetic except the “tales” you can buy which allows your character to level classes they want to level 70. If you’re like me then you constantly are making new characters in games because you change from wanting to play a spell caster to wanting to be a fighter or some other class.

Well with this game you can have your one character switch classes simply and switch back whenever you want. CLASSES My character has 12 different classes I switch between alot depending on my mood. The classes themselves level up,not the character.

So if you are level 30 with one class and then unlock another class , you’ll be level zero or whatever the game makes that class start out as. You have a decent amount of classes you can choose from when you first make your character.

Then there are many different classes (including crafter classes) that you unlock by completing specific quests in game. Some of the classes start at level 30 and some start at level 50 or 60. My goal when I started playing was to unlock red mage at level 50 and the after that I went and unlocked others.

I bounce between casting spells with red mage , to throwing weapons with Dancer, to swords fighting with samurai , and healing with my astrologist class. TLDR it costs a month cost after the first month to play.

Alot of content, great community , many classes to play. Great game.

With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime???!?? on a serious note, a realm reborn can be a bit (a lot) of a slog, but it picks up once you get to heavensward (granted that’s still like 100+ hours in for non cutscene skippers).

the early story feel very cliche and has issues with pacing imo, but it continues to build on itself and the payoff by the time you hit shadowbringer is amazing. also yes it’s fun to play all the classes, day trade on the market boards, and live out your anime bunny waifu dreams, etc, etc but it’s the story that really continues to live in my head rent-free, and I think it’s super cool what they did using an mmorpg as their medium [insert lady Gaga amazing incredible totally unique never been done before copypasya here] tl;dr the base game gets like 7/10, but as a whole with all the expansions (esp.

shadownbringers endwalker) gets 110/10 from me.

I am originally a World of Warcraft player and decided to make the switch back in June to a different MMO game because of the lack of content that was out at the time. I decided to give Final Fantasy XIV a try and I have honestly been having a blast for the few months I’ve been playing it.

The community is a lot more kinder and relaxed than any other MMOs I’ve played, and the storytelling in general is amazing. Square Enix does a really good job with their storytelling in this game. PvP isn’t amazing, but everything else is really good.

I highly suggest getting a trial to try out the game for yourself.
